ABSTRACT Objective: Intelligence in public management is recognized as an innovative approach that leverages technologies to enhance decision-making processes and facilitate democratic planning by establishing formal structures, engaging public servants and managers, and fostering social involvement for efficient data and information management. Despite its innovative potential, intelligence in public management requires legitimacy within government spheres. The objective of this study is to validate a model for the institutionalization of intelligence in public management, grounded in a theoretical framework encompassing ten dimensions of intelligence categorized into organizational structure, technological infrastructure, human capital, and social engagement. Methods: Employing quantitative research, data were collected through a survey conducted among managers and civil servants in the Brazilian context. Results: The results demonstrate a positive impact of the analyzed categories on the institutionalization of intelligence in public management, with human capital emerging as the most influential factor. Conclusions: This study underscores the significance of adopting an institutional perspective in structuring intelligence processes within public management, thereby offering avenues for theoretical advancement in the field and suggesting pathways toward establishing legitimacy for intelligence activities within government frameworks. ABSTRACT Objective: this study aims to review the literature on DAOs in business administration and propose a framework for DAOs compared to the key features of market, hierarchy, and network governance forms and avenues for future research. Methods: we performed a systematic literature review in Scopus and Web of Science databases and identified 69 articles on DAOs published in or before March 2024 in the field of business and management. ABSTRACT Objective: competition and cooperation occur in different areas of the market. The shipping industry is one of the areas characterized by strong competition and operational cooperation with the objective of operational improvement. Through mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, the shipping industry has advanced with its business and sought better results. Methods: we analyzed coopetition strategies between global actors of shipping industry in the Brazilian market. We used the multiple case study method with the four main shipping lines in the world based on semi-structured interviews and data from official documents. Results: the results indicate that the shipping lines often employ the strategy of joint services and slot service in partnership with other shipping companies. Market coverage, customer needs, and reduced operating costs were identified as the main motivations for coopetition in the shipping industry. ABSTRACT Objective: this study explores the complex dynamics of collaboration and competition within the Delta ecosystem, a mature, networked environment characterized by diverse coopetitive behaviors. The study interprets reality through a continuous process of reconstruction of meaning, using the theoretical lens of sensemaking. Methods: an intrinsic case study methodology is adopted, using the relationships between participants as the unit of analysis and triangulating primary and secondary data. ABSTRACT Objective: Voluntary withdrawal intention (VWI) is the idealized process of leaving an organization. VWI can lead to a loss of institutional memory, higher costs for personnel replacement, and an overload on remaining staff. Drawing on unfolding and embeddedness theories, this study identifies a new mechanism linking negative shocks to turnover intention. Methods: The study supports the idea that organizational cynicism and professional achievement mediate the relationship between VWI and organizational change. Structural equation modeling was used with data from 378 federal public servants in Brazil. Results: The results indicate that organizational cynicism and professional achievement play a role in this relationship. The model explains 70.70% of the variance in VWI. ABSTRACT Objective: this study analyzes the theory of digital leadership, comparing it with other related theories in the field. This work results from 15 years of reflections by a group of researchers who have been studying leadership in Brazil. The question that guided this study was: Are new leadership attributes necessary, or will individuals capable of leading in the 4.0 Revolution combine existing attributes found in the literature? ABSTRACT Objective: the study analyzes the main factors associated with innovation capacity in courts. Methods: the research design involves a qualitative investigation based on in-depth interviews with 17 judges and 13 staff members of the Brazilian judiciary. ABSTRACT Objective: the goal of this article is to theorize how institutional complexity and work can lead to the hybridization of markets. ABSTRACT Objective: this study is based on the assumption that the level of corruption in a country’s context can influence how stakeholders perceive the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices disclosed by companies. The objective is to analyze the moderating effect of corruption on the relationship between ESG performance and the relevance of accounting information for companies in G20 countries. Methods: the study considered 171,693 firm/year observations from organizations in G20 countries that had all the necessary data to measure the relevance of accounting information from 2013 to 2021. Descriptive analysis, correlation, and multiple linear regression were conducted. Results: based on the findings, it can be inferred that unified ESG performance, as well as its individual pillars, is positively associated with the market value of the analyzed organizations. However, when observing the moderating effect of corruption levels, no significant results were obtained. ABSTRACT Objective: this study investigates the use of integrated social media (SM) technologies to support knowledge-sharing (KS) processes in information technology (IT) projects. Its main objective is to develop a framework to assist project managers in solving problems such as selecting or replacing social media tools, developing KS processes, and creating guidelines. Methods: the affordance theory was the theoretical lens adopted to explore the relationship between using technology (SM) and organizational change processes (KS). The design science research (DSR) was adopted as a prescriptive method. The work adds to the body of knowledge and provides a support tool designed and validated specifically for practitioners and researchers. A literature review served as the basis for creating the framework, and 18 interviews with IT project members helped assess and refine it. Results: the resulting framework consists of three components based on affordance perception, materialization, and effect. It is presented from both component and integrative complementary views and has the potential to contribute to solving problems identified in the literature and in practice.
