ABSTRACT: The study aimed to analyze supports offered to Catalan young adults with Intellectual Disability (ID) and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the Brazilian context, with the purpose of discussing the offer of public programs focused on people with disabilities, especially at the end of the schooling process. For this, evaluations were applied with Brazilian young adult students with ID and/or ASD to characterize their levels of support and schooling intensities, as well as interviews with Catalan professionals who identified support that could be useful for the educational reality of the participants involved in the study. Thus, the disparity between the two realities was evidenced, demonstrating the need for the development of normative and institutionalization of support for this public, especially in the transition from High School to adult and independent life, in addition to continuing education for teachers and the involvement of interdisciplinary professionals in the school context to provide effective support to students.

RESUMO: Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar apoios catalães oferecidos para jovens adultos com Deficiência Intelectual (DI) e/ou Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA) no contexto brasileiro, com o propósito de discutir sobre a oferta de programas públicos centrados nas pessoas com deficiência, sobretudo ao término do processo de escolarização. Para isso, foram aplicadas avaliações com estudantes jovens adultos brasileiros com DI e/ou TEA para caracterização dos seus níveis de intensidades de apoio e escolarização, bem como foram realizadas entrevistas com profissionais catalãs que identificaram apoios que poderiam ser úteis para a realidade educacional dos participantes envolvidos no estudo. Assim, foi evidenciada a disparidade entre as duas realidades, demostrando a necessidade do desenvolvimento de normativas e institucionalização de apoios para esse público, principalmente na transição do Ensino Médio à vida adulta e independente, além da formação continuada para docentes e envolvimento de profissionais interdisciplinares no contexto escolar para dar apoio efetivo aos estudantes.

ABSTRACT This text is anchored in some research results, in the process of being finalized, with the purpose of exposing analyses addressed to the meanings of policy, practices and inclusion in the constitution of a hypothesis as Modern Special Education, captured in the 2015 Incheon Declaration, in the 2016 Education 2030 Framework for Action, and, in the Brazilian case, in the 2018 Common Core State Standards. As sources, the Declaration, the Framework and the Common Core play on words that focus on political, educational and curricular theorizations which, since the end of the 20th century and the beginning of 21st, have prioritized the subjectivation of the relations between individuals, societies and schooling projects. The composition of subjectivation is based on the individual as a potential creative being, possessor of subjectivity; thus, it involves a set of individual and singular characteristics which, despite being socially constructed, support a certain unique capacity for judgment, guiding choices, rationality and stances.

RESUMO Este texto ancora-se em alguns resultados de pesquisa, em processo de finalização, com o objetivo de expor análises endereçadas aos sentidos de política, práticas e inclusão na constituição de uma hipótese como Educação Especial Moderna, captados na Declaração de Incheon, de 2015, no Marco de Ação da Educação 2030, de 2016, e, no caso brasileiro, na Base Nacional Comum Curricular, de 2018. Na condição de fontes, a Declaração, o Marco e a Base procedem a jogos de palavras que incidem sobre teorizações políticas, educacionais e curriculares que, desde finais do século XX e início do XXI, priorizam a subjetivação das relações entre indivíduos, sociedades e projetos de escolarização. A composição da subjetivação alicerça-se no indivíduo como ser criativo em potencial, possuidor da subjetividade; trata-se, assim, de um conjunto de características individuais e singulares que, apesar de construídas socialmente, subsidiam certa capacidade singular de julgamento, orientadora das suas escolhas, da sua racionalidade e das tomadas de posições.

ABSTRACT This article uses the case of Afrocentric knowledge on resilience to argue for the presence of indigenous knowledge into inclusive education agendas to enable transformation in highly unequal spaces. The premise is that local, indigenous knowledge serves as evidence of effective and efficient buffering against inequality that gives insight into low-threshold options for transformation. When people are disproportionally structurally at risk they have limited access to resources and their potential to thrive is limited - as is the case in emerging economy contexts. Ironically, although the need for transformation is highest in extremely unequal contexts, knowledge from the Global South and emerging economies remain underrepresented in global discourses on development. Rather, development agendas and mechanisms (including for inclusive education) are grounded in Eurocentric and Global North notions of change, inclusion, wellbeing, resource distribution, and service delivery. Indigenous knowledge provides evidence of how, intergenerationally, people push towards available resources as a way to draw on limited resources and promote inclusive, positive development for many. The article uses the evidence from an Afrocentric indigenous psychology theory, Relationship Resourced Resilience, to posit the use of indigenous knowledge in inclusive education to enable transformation in response to hardship that promotes inclusive, collective wellbeing.

RESUMO Este artigo utiliza o caso do conhecimento afrocêntrico sobre resiliência para defender a presença do conhecimento nativo nas agendas de educação inclusiva para permitir a transformação em espaços altamente desiguais. A premissa é de que o conhecimento local e nativo serve como evidência de uma proteção eficaz e eficiente contra a desigualdade, que fornece informações sobre opções de transformação de baixo limiar. Quando as pessoas estão em risco estrutural desproporcional, elas têm acesso limitado aos recursos, e o seu potencial para prosperar é limitado - como é o caso em contextos de economia emergente. Ironicamente, embora a necessidade de transformação seja maior em contextos extremamente desiguais, o conhecimento do Sul Global e das economias emergentes continua sub-representado nos discursos globais sobre desenvolvimento. Pelo contrário, as agendas e os mecanismos de desenvolvimento (incluindo para a educação inclusiva) baseiam-se em noções eurocêntricas e do Norte Global de mudança, inclusão, bem-estar, distribuição de recursos e prestação de serviços. O conhecimento nativo fornece provas de como, intergeracionalmente, as pessoas recorrem aos recursos disponíveis como forma de aproveitar recursos limitados e promover um desenvolvimento inclusivo e positivo para muitos. O artigo utiliza as evidências de uma teoria da psicologia nativo-afrocêntrica, Resiliência com Recursos de Relacionamento, para postular o uso do conhecimento nativo na educação inclusiva para permitir a transformação em resposta às dificuldades, a qual promove o bem-estar coletivo e inclusivo.

ABSTRACT In this article, we focus on the study of precocity and indicators of giftedness in Early Childhood Education, understanding that students who manifest such phenomena need to be recognized and informed, because they are also the audience of Special Education and require specialized monitoring according to their needs. Aware that precociousness is expressed in children in their first years of life, and, in this stage, most of them are already enrolled in Early Childhood Education, as well as considering the existence of mistaken thoughts about individuals with giftedness or precociousness, in addition to the lack of research and instruments in this area, which are able to assist the teacher in identifying precocious children, we defined as an objective of this research to analyze the validity of an instrument to identify precociousness and indicators of giftedness for the Early Childhood Education stage. Thus, we evaluated the psychometric qualities of the instrument, so that, at first, preschool teachers situated in three cities of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, filled out a form based on their students. Then, an Exploratory Factor Analysis (AFE) was performed, as well as its internal consistency, in order to evaluate its psychometric qualities. After the analysis, we obtained the Precocity Identification Scale and Indicators of Giftedness, Early Childhood Education version (Escala de Identificação de Precocidade e Indicadores de Altas Habilidades/Superdotação, versão Educação Infantil - EIPIAHS-EI), with 14 items divided into three dimensions: “Learning and processing of information”, “Motivation and genuine interest”, and “Aspects with a tendency to negative interpretation”.

RESUMO Neste artigo, debruçamo-nos sobre o estudo da precocidade e dos indicadores de altas habilidades/superdotação (AH/ SD) na Educação Infantil, compreendendo que tais fenômenos precisam ser reconhecidos e sinalizados nos estudantes que os manifestam, pois estes também são do público da Educação Especial e necessitam de acompanhamento especializado condizente com suas necessidades. Cientes de que a precocidade se expressa nas crianças em seus primeiros anos de vida, e, nessa fase, grande parte já está inserida na Educação Infantil, bem como considerando a existência de pensamentos equivocados direcionados aos indivíduos com AH/SD e/ou com precocidade, além da carência de pesquisas e de instrumentos nessa área, que sejam capazes de auxiliar o professor na identificação de crianças precoces, definimos como objetivo desta pesquisa analisar a validade de um instrumento de identificação de precocidade e indicadores de AH/SD para a etapa da Educação Infantil. Assim, avaliamos as qualidades psicométricas do instrumento de maneira que, inicialmente, os professores das turmas pré-escolares de três cidades de Mato Grosso do Sul fizeram o preenchimento com base em seus alunos. Em seguida, realizou-se uma Análise Fatorial Exploratória (AFE), bem como de sua consistência interna, a fim de avaliar suas qualidades psicométricas. Finalizadas as análises, obtivemos a Escala de Identificação de Precocidade e Indicadores de Altas Habilidades/Superdotação, versão Educação Infantil (EIPIAHSEI), com 14 itens divididos em três dimensões: “Aprendizagem e tratamento da informação”, “Motivação e interesse genuíno” e “Aspectos com tendência à interpretação negativa”.

ABSTRACT The objective of this work was to report the case of an academic student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) inserted in the Problem-Based Learning methodology of the Medical course. She was diagnosed with ASD at age 20, manifests a deficit in social interaction, language impairment, repetitive behavior, peculiar motor pattern, changes in sensory integration, qualitative changes in executive functions and anxiety attacks in situations of social exposure, mainly in the academic environment. She received some help and adaptations provided by the coordination and professors at the medical school, but they are still insufficient for her full inclusion in the reality of the undergraduate course. People with ASD, or other neurodiversities, have peculiar difficulties; thus, it is up to the institution and the personnel involved with the teaching-learning processes to ensure access, permanence, and the need to implement measures that provide the student with all the educational support that is part of their right. It is important that the conditions of these students are adapted, as well as the training of the faculty so that they can deal with these people, aiming at their true inclusion in the academic environment and their improvement to include them in the job market.

RESUMO O objetivo deste trabalho foi relatar o caso de uma acadêmica com Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA) inserida na metodologia Problem-Based Learning do curso de Medicina. Ela foi diagnosticada com TEA aos 20 anos de idade, manifesta déficit na interação social, comprometimento da linguagem, comportamento repetitivo, padrão motor peculiar, alterações na integração sensorial, alterações qualitativas em funções executivas e crises de ansiedade em situações de exposição social, principalmente no ambiente acadêmico. Ela recebeu alguns auxílios e adaptações fornecidos pela coordenação e docentes da faculdade de Medicina, porém ainda são insuficientes para sua total inclusão na realidade da graduação. As pessoas com TEA, ou outras neurodiversidades, possuem dificuldades peculiares; assim, cabe à instituição e ao pessoal envolvido com os processos de ensino-aprendizagem assegurar o acesso, a permanência e a necessidade de implementar medidas que proporcionem ao estudante todo o suporte educacional que faz parte do seu direito. É importante que haja adequação às condições desses estudantes, bem como a capacitação do corpo docente para que seja capaz de lidar com essas pessoas, visando a sua verdadeira inclusão no meio acadêmico e seu aperfeiçoamento para incluí-los no mercado de trabalho.

ABSTRACT This essay aims to identify structural and functional barriers that oppose the creation of an inclusive school system. These reflections will be woven using the German system as an example. However, its relevance extends beyond the context of Germany, as similar developments and issues can be found in all school systems, which leads to the emergence of other fundamental reflections regarding the relationship between innovation, transformation, and the tendency to the persistence of structures and procedural formats already differentiated in schools.

RESUMO O presente ensaio visa identificar estruturas e obstáculos funcionais que se opõem à criação de um sistema escolar inclusivo. Essas reflexões serão tecidas tendo como exemplo o sistema alemão. Sua relevância, porém, se estende para além do contexto da Alemanha, já que desdobramentos e problemáticas parecidos podem ser encontrados em todos os sistemas escolares, o que tem por consequência a emergência de outras reflexões fundamentais, referentes à relação entre inovação, transformação e propensão à persistência de estruturas e de formatos procedimentais já diferenciados nas escolas.

RESUMEN Desde finales del siglo XX los debates sobre la inclusión social y educativa han crecido al calor de la puesta en acto de políticas y prácticas tejidas entre procesos excluyentes. En este trabajo y en diálogo con la Red Charting Inclusive Education Geographies, presentamos elementos para una cartografía de la inclusión en escuelas públicas de gestión estatal de la Región Metropolitana de Buenos Aires, Argentina. La perspectiva cartográfica asumida desde una mirada interseccional permite una aproximación a las dinámicas de inclusión que no se presentan como homogéneas sino, más bien, multilineales y yuxtapuestas. A modo de hipótesis sostenemos que las dinámicas de inclusión involucran fuerzas centrífugas asociadas con la sedimentación de la exclusión y centrípetas que pujan por el acceso al saber y la escuela. Nos referimos a fuerzas que permiten comprender los efectos rebote que atraviesa la inclusión e involucran grandes líneas molares del poder y sus micro detalles.

ABSTRACT Since the end of the 20th century, debates on social and educational inclusion have grown in the heat of the implementation of policies and practices interwoven with processes of exclusion. In this work, and in dialogue with the Charting Inclusive Education Geographies Network, we present elements for a cartography of inclusion in public schools in the Metropolitan Region of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The cartographic perspective, adopted from an intersectional point of view, allows an approach to the dynamics of inclusion that are not presented as homogeneous, but rather multilinear and juxtaposed. We hypothesize that the dynamics of inclusion involve centrifugal forces associated with the sedimentation of exclusion and centripetal forces that push for access to knowledge and schooling. We are referring to forces that allow us to understand the rebound effect that inclusion undergoes, involving large molar lines of power and its micro details.

ABSTRACT Despite the progressive access of Special Education students to mainstream schools, one of the biggest challenges to providing quality education is related to gaps in teacher training. Thus, this article aims to identify the contributions of a lato sensu specialization course from the perspective of teacher performance with special education students in the state of Paraíba, Brazil. To this end, using an online questionnaire, this study analyzed the perceptions of 64 teachers from different regions of Paraíba who graduated from the specialization course in Specialized Educational Service (SES) offered by the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB), from November 2022 to November 2023, funded by the Ministry of Education (MEC). The results showed that the teachers’ participation in continuing education helped them to face the challenges they experience in the classroom on a daily basis. The adoption of collaborative, innovative, welcoming and inclusive methodologies, in addition to being a process of self-affirmation and appreciation of the SES teacher’s identity, also emerges as a benefit resulting from the specialization. With this research we hope to strengthen the debate on teacher training from an inclusive perspective, re-signifying conceptions about disability and encouraging the construction of anti-capacity school environments.

RESUMO Apesar do progressivo acesso de estudantes público da Educação Especial às escolas regulares, um dos maiores desafios à oferta de uma educação de qualidade relaciona-se às lacunas na formação docente. Assim, este artigo objetiva identificar as contribuições de um curso de especialização lato sensu na perspectiva da atuação docente junto aos estudantes público da Educação Especial no estado da Paraíba. Para tanto, a partir da aplicação de um questionário online, esta pesquisa analisou as percepções de 64 professores de diferentes regiões paraibanas egressos do curso de especialização em Atendimento Educacional Especializado (AEE) oferecido pela Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB), no período de novembro de 2022 a novembro de 2023, financiado pelo Ministério da Educação (MEC). Os resultados obtidos apontaram que a participação dos docentes na formação continuada contribuiu no enfretamento dos desafios cotidianamente experienciados em sala de aula. A adoção de metodologias colaborativas, inovadoras, acolhedoras e inclusivas, além de ser um processo de autoafirmação e valorização da identidade do professor do AEE, também emerge como benefício resultante da especialização. Com esta pesquisa, espera-se fortalecer o debate acerca da formação docente em uma perspectiva inclusiva, ressignificando concepções sobre a deficiência e estimulando a construção de ambientes escolares anticapacitistas.

ABSTRACT The present essay, carried out through a literary review process, presents the main concepts related to the disability category designed by the literature named “social model of disability” and by Vygotsky’s Defectology. It aims, considering the importance that the aforementioned theoretical currents play today in the field of social studies, to highlight points of encounter and differentiation between both literatures, which, although apparently incommunicable, deal with congruent issues raised from the same methodological foundation: the historical materialism. After highlighting a series of arguments and reasons in common, the text concludes by stating that the temporal distance that separates the forging of the two literatures did not prevent them from viewing the fight against oppression experienced by people with disabilities as part of the intended solution for intended solution for building a more accessible world, therefore, better, fairer and supportive.

RESUMO O presente ensaio, realizado mediante processo de revisão literária, apresenta os principais conceitos relativos à categoria deficiência desenhados pela literatura nominada “modelo social da deficiência” e pela Defectologia de Vygotsky. Objetiva, considerando a importância que citadas correntes teóricas desempenham hodiernamente no campo dos estudos sociais, assinalar pontos de encontro e diferenciação entre ambas as literaturas, as quais, embora aparentemente incomunicáveis, versam sobre problemáticas congruentes erigidas a partir de um mesmo alicerce metodológico: o materialismo histórico. Após o destaque de uma série de argumentos e motivos em comum, o texto finaliza afirmando que a distância temporal que separa o forjar das duas literaturas não as impediu de visualizar, no combate às opressões vivenciadas pelas pessoas com deficiência, parte da solução pretendida para a construção de um mundo mais acessível, por isso, melhor, mais justo e solidário.

RESUMEN Este artículo explora los recursos tecnológicos utilizados por 21 profesores universitarios españoles para desarrollar una pedagogía inclusiva, los motivos para su uso y cómo influyen en el aprendizaje de los estudiantes con discapacidad. En el estudio de corte cualitativo se realizaron entrevistas semi-estructuradas individuales para la recogida de información. Se utilizó un sistema de categorías y códigos inductivo para el análisis de datos. En los resultados se describe cómo se promueve la inclusión de los estudiantes con discapacidad a través de herramientas tecnológicas tradicionales e innovadoras, y se analizan los principales beneficios de estos recursos. Como conclusión, la investigación pone en valor el uso de recursos tecnológicos en el ámbito universitario con el fin de promover que todos los estudiantes permanezcan y finalicen con éxito sus estudios.

ABSTRACT This article explores the technological resources used by 21 Spanish university professors to develop an inclusive pedagogy, the reasons for its use and how they influence the learning of students with disabilities. In this qualitative study, individual semi-structured interviews were used to data gathering. An inductive system of categories and codes was used for data analysis. The results describe how the inclusion of students with disabilities is encouraged through traditional and new technological tools, and the main benefits implicit in these resources are analyzed. In conclusion, the research highlights the value of the use of technological resources in the university context in order to promote that all students stay and successfully complete their studies.

ABSTRACT In this article, a specific picture of the formation of inclusive education in the countries of the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) is revealed, using the case of Azerbaijan and Russia. The processes of dismantling the Soviet special education system and the implementation of global principles of educational inclusion were valid for both countries. It is argued that while implementing the reforms, both countries have faced similar cultural and organizational barriers. Meanwhile, the cultural and political specifics of the states manifested in certain ways of overcoming those contradictions. It is documented up-to-date countries’ attempts to build overall national systems, in which Soviet, global and local elements are intertwined. Current achievements and ongoing problems are discussed.

RESUMO Neste artigo, é revelado um quadro específico da formação da educação inclusiva nos países da antiga União das Repúblicas Socialistas Soviéticas (URSS), utilizando o caso do Azerbaijão e da Rússia. Os processos de desmantelamento do sistema de educação especial soviético e de implementação de princípios globais de inclusão educativa foram válidos para ambos os países. Argumenta-se que, durante a implementação das reformas, ambos os países enfrentaram barreiras culturais e organizacionais semelhantes. Ao mesmo tempo, as especificidades culturais e políticas dos estados manifestaram-se em certas formas de superar essas contradições. Documentam-se as tentativas atualizadas dos países de construir sistemas nacionais globais, nos quais elementos soviéticos, globais e locais estão interligados. As conquistas e os problemas atuais são discutidos.

ABSTRACT The call for expanding educational opportunities for all (including the most vulnerable groups) has been both promising and disruptive, particularly as inclusive education policies spread across the globe. Notably, inclusive education embodies a transformative promise for contexts where inequality is ubiquitous. However, different perspectives on the categorization of vulnerable groups are emerging around the globe, which influences the way Inclusive Education is designed and implemented. Thus, in this paper, we reflect on the differences among countries in their approach to implementing Inclusive Education, we discuss the hierarchies of difference that are created, and we set an initial discussion to foster the analysis of categories of difference and their implications for Inclusive Education in future research.

RESUMO A chamada pela expansão das oportunidades educativas para todos (incluindo os grupos mais vulneráveis) tem sido ao mesmo tempo promissor e perturbador, especialmente na medida em que as políticas de educação inclusiva se espalham por todo o mundo. Notavelmente, a educação inclusiva incorpora uma promessa transformadora para contextos em que a desigualdade é omnipresente. No entanto, diferentes perspectivas sobre a categorização de grupos vulneráveis estão surgindo em todo o mundo, o que influencia a forma como a Educação Inclusiva é concebida e implementada. Assim sendo, neste artigo, refletimos sobre as diferenças entre os países na sua abordagem à implementação da Educação Inclusiva, discutimos as hierarquias de diferenças que são criadas e estabelecemos uma discussão inicial para promover a análise das categorias de diferença e as suas implicações para a Educação Inclusiva em pesquisas futuras.

ABSTRACT This theoretical essay aimed to identify contributions from the organization of scientific knowledge in the systematization of science teaching, for the typical and atypical human constitution. This was carried out based on considerations between texts from the Science Teaching area and assumptions from the Historical-Cultural Theory. Thus, we present reflections on discussions that polarize the education of people with disabilities or autism in terms of curriculum, in relation to functional and academic skills. From the analysis of limitations, possibilities and educational strategies for science classes, we conclude that functional abilities, which involve everyday knowledge, cannot constitute a criterion for curricular exclusion of academic skills, of scientific knowledge, for the education of people with atypical development. We understand that a school scientific education with pathways to integral development is inseparable from daily life skills.

RESUMO Este ensaio teórico teve por objetivo identificar contribuições da organização do conhecimento científico na sistematização do ensino em ciências, para a constituição humana típica e atípica. Isso foi realizado a partir de ponderações entre textos da área de Ensino de Ciências e pressupostos da Teoria Histórico-Cultural. Assim, apresentamos reflexões acerca de discussões que polarizam a educação de pessoas com deficiência ou autismo no direcionamento curricular, em relação às habilidades funcionais e acadêmicas. A partir da análise de limitações, possibilidades e estratégias educacionais para aulas de ciências, concluímos que as habilidades funcionais, que envolvem conhecimentos cotidianos, não podem configurar critério de exclusão curricular de habilidades acadêmicas, do conhecimento científico, para a educação de pessoas com desenvolvimento atípico. Compreendemos que uma educação científica escolar com vias ao desenvolvimento integral é indissociável das habilidades da vida diária.

ABSTRACT We present, here, a discussion based on the texts that make up the Dossier entitled: GLOBAL AND LOCAL CHALLENGES OF SPECIAL EDUCATION FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF INCLUSIVE EDUCATION: POTENTIALITY OF A CARTOGRAPHY UNDER CONSTRUCTION. The objective is to build an international and national cartography of how, in the area of Special Education, Inclusive Education has been recontextualized in the policies and practices of different Brazilian states and different countries. In this material, we managed to bring together an international interview, five international papers and four national texts, creating a panorama of very distinct local arrangements that provide us with myriad complexities about educational inclusion. From a thematic point of view, the Dossier discusses emerging themes, focusing on Inclusive Education policies and practices in the field of Special Education, namely: teacher training, schooling of people with disabilities and Inclusive Education policies in contemporary Special Education.

RESUMO Apresentamos, aqui, uma discussão a partir dos textos que compõem o Dossiê intitulado: DESAFIOS GLOBAIS E LOCAIS DA EDUCAÇÃO ESPECIAL NA PERSPECTIVA DA EDUCAÇÃO INCLUSIVA: POTENCIALIDADE DE UMA CARTOGRAFIA EM CONSTRUÇÃO. O objetivo é construir uma cartografia internacional e nacional de como, na área da Educação Especial, a Educação Inclusiva tem sido recontextualizada nas políticas e nas práticas de diferentes estados brasileiros e diferentes países. Conseguimos unir, nesse material, uma entrevista internacional, cinco artigos internacionais e quatro textos nacionais, tecendo um panorama de arranjos locais muito distintos e que nos brindam com miríades complexas sobre a inclusão educacional.
