Resumo O desenho da figura humana (DFH) é uma das formas mais utilizadas para avaliar o desenvolvimento intelectual infantil. Este estudo investigou as evidências da validade e precisão do sistema Wechsler de correção do DFH para as crianças da Madeira. A amostra incluiu 489 crianças (49% meninas), com entre 5 e 13 anos de idade, de escolas do 1º e 2º ciclos do sistema educativo. Os instrumentos foram: DFH, teste de Matrizes Progressivas Coloridas de Raven (MPCR) e notas escolares (Português e Matemática). Existem diferenças por idade, sexo e da figura desenhada. As correlações entre DFH, MPCR e notas escolares foram significativas. A precisão foi satisfatória (>0,80). Concluindo, este teste DFH possui evidências de validade e precisão, indicando a possibilidade de utilização após obtenção de normas portuguesas.

Abstract Human figure drawing (HFD) is one of the most widely tests used to assess children's intellectual development. This study investigated the evidence of the validity and reliability of HFD for children in Madeira using Wechsler`s scoring system. The sample included 489 children (49% girls), 5-13 years old, from schools in the 1st and 2nd cycles of the education system. The instruments were: HFD, Raven's Colored Progressive Matrices (CPM) test, and school grades (Portuguese and Mathematics). There were differences by age, gender, and the figure drawn. The correlations between HFD, CPM, and school grades were significant. Reliability was satisfactory (>0.80). In conclusion, the Wechsler’s scoring system for HFD has evidence of validity and reliability for children in Madeira indicating the possibility of its use after obtaining Portuguese norms.

Abstract Rapid Weight Loss (RWL) is a technique used by athletes in combat sports to obtain competitive advantages and it is defined by a 3-5% average reduction of body mass in a short period. This investigation aimed to verify the existence of any differences between Brazilian Jiu Jitsu athletes who can or cannot perform RWL, and if it influences psychological parameters. Participants were 17 male athletes with an average of 25 years. The STAI Inventory, Beck Depression Inventory, Stroop Colors and Words Tests and GO/NO-GO were used in 3 sessions (baseline and RWL sessions). There were differences only between groups in the inhibitory control [p=0.014]. It is concluded that weight loss does not alter athletes' psychological parameters; although inhibitory control has an impact on strategy.

Resumo Perda Rápida de Peso (PRP) é a redução em média de 3-5% da massa corporal em um curto período utilizada por atletas de modalidades de combate para obter vantagens competitivas. Objetivou-se verificar se há diferenças entre atletas de Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu que conseguem ou não realizar PRP, e se esta influencia parâmetros psicológicos. Participaram 17 atletas do sexo masculino, com idade média de 25 anos. Utilizou-se o Inventário IDATE, Inventário de Depressão de Beck, Testes Stroop Cores e Palavras e GO/NO-GO em 3 sessões (linha de base e sessões de PRP). Houve diferença apenas entre grupos no controle inibitório [p=0,014]. Conclui-se que a perda de peso não altera parâmetros psicológicos de atletas; o controle inibitório tem impacto na estratégia.

Abstract The work demands and restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic can produce several impacts on health professionals. This study aimed to assess the mental suffering and quality of life of 315 professionals working in primary health care. Participants completed a sociodemographic questionnaire, the World Health Organization Quality of Life-Bref, and the Self-Reporting Questionnaire. The results showed that the professionals had a reasonable quality of life, but high rates of mental suffering. Some risk factors related to demographic, job, and lifestyle variables were observed. Conclusions highlight the importance of designing and applying specific psychological interventions for this population, which seems to be at risk of developing more severe mental conditions.

Resumo As demandas de trabalho e as restrições impostas pela pandemia de COVID-19 geraram diversos impactos nos profissionais de saúde. Este estudo visou avaliar o sofrimento mental e a qualidade de vida de 315 profissionais que trabalham na atenção primária de saúde. Os participantes completaram um questionário sociodemográfico, o Questionário de Qualidade de Vida da OMS-Bref e o Índice de Bem-Estar-5 da OMS. Os resultados mostraram que os profissionais tinham uma qualidade de vida razoável, mas altos níveis de sofrimento mental. Alguns fatores de risco relacionados a variáveis demográficas, laborais e de estilo de vida foram observadas. As conclusões mostram a importância sobre o delineamento e aplicação de intervenções psicológicas específicas para esta população, que parece estar em risco de desenvolver condições mentais mais severas.

Abstract There are changes in episodic memory during healthy or pathological cognitive aging. This study aimed to verify which instruments were most used to assess this cognitive domain in older adults in the last ten years, evaluating their psychometric parameters. A systematic review was conducted according to the PRISMA recommendations, and 3,203 articles were identified in Pubmed, PsycINFO, Scopus, and Web of Science databases. Forty-eight of these met the eligibility criteria for analysis. The most frequently used instruments were RAVLT, FCSRT, and EBMT. The results suggested good psychometric properties for the episodic memory tests, although there is still room for adaptation, construction, and validation of new tests appropriated for the Brazilian context.

Resumo A memória episódica apresenta mudanças durante o processo de envelhecimento cognitivo saudável ou patológico. Este estudo teve como objetivo verificar quais instrumentos foram mais utilizados para a avaliação desse domínio cognitivo em idosos nos últimos dez anos, avaliando seus parâmetros psicométricos. A partir de uma revisão sistemática, segundo as recomendações PRISMA, foram identificados 3203 artigos nas bases de dados Pubmed, PsycINFO, Scopus e Web of Science, dos quais 48 atenderam aos critérios de elegibilidade para análise. Os instrumentos utilizados com mais frequência foram o RAVLT, FCSRT e o EBMT. Os resultados indicam que os testes apresentam bons parâmetros psicométricos, porém verificou-se a necessidade de adaptação, construção e validação de novos instrumentos para o contexto brasileiro.

Abstract People with high levels of psychopathy cause damage to interpersonal relationships, being also found in the general community. Therefore, it is necessary to explore how this trait manifests in the general community. Thus, the objective was to study the subtypes of psychopathy (primary and secondary) in the general community and their association with personality (i.e., HEXACO). Participants were 116 people aged between 18 and 69 years (78.3% women). Results indicated four groups: high psychopathy, low psychopathy, high primary psychopathy, and high secondary psychopathy. Honesty-Humility factor was the one that best discriminated among the subtypes. We concluded that different personality traits are related to the subtypes of psychopathy, which can impact the assessment and intervention process of people with higher levels in this construct.

Resumo Pessoas com níveis altos de psicopatia causam prejuízos nas relações interpessoais, estando presentes também na comunidade geral, portanto faz-se necessário explorar como esse traço se manifesta nesse grupo. Assim, objetivou-se estudar os subtipos de psicopatia (primária e secundária) na comunidade geral e sua associação com personalidade (i.e., HEXACO). Participaram 116 pessoas com idades entre 18 e 69 anos (78,3% mulheres). Os resultados indicaram quatro grupos: alta psicopatia, baixa psicopatia, alta psicopatia primária e alta psicopatia secundária. O fator Honestidade-Humildade foi o que melhor discriminou entre os subtipos. Concluiu-se que diferentes traços de personalidade se relacionam com os subtipos de psicopatia, o que pode impactar no processo de avaliação e intervenção de pessoas com níveis mais altos nesse construto.

Abstract The objective was to evaluate the association between passion (harmonious and obsessive), affections (positive and negative), and envy (benign and malicious) in the context of physical exercise. The sample consisted of 230 participants aged between 18 and 72 years (M= 30.9, SD= 12, 73.5% female). The results indicated that harmonious passion was positively related to the activity tend to experience more adaptive outcomes for performing physical exercise. to positive affections and benign envy and negatively related to negative affections. Obsessive passion was positively related to negative affections, both types of envy, and negatively associated with positive affections. Furthermore, a mediating role of affection in the relationship between passion and envy was observed. It is concluded that individuals who relate harmoniously to the activity tend to experience more adaptive outcomes in the practice of physical exercise.

Resumo O objetivo foi avaliar a associação entre paixão (harmoniosa e obsessiva), afetos (positivos e negativos) e inveja (benigna e maliciosa) no contexto de exercício físico. A amostra foi composta por 230 participantes, com idades entre 18 e 72 anos (M= 30,9, DP= 12, 73,5% feminino). Os resultados indicaram que a paixão harmoniosa se relacionou positivamente com afetos positivos e inveja benigna e negativamente com os afetos negativos. A paixão obsessiva relacionou-se positivamente com afetos negativos e ambos os tipos de inveja, e negativamente com afetos positivos. Observou-se um papel mediador dos afetos na relação entre paixão e inveja. Conclui-se que sujeitos que se relacionam harmoniosamente com a atividade tendem a experimentar desfechos mais adaptativos para realização do exercício físico.

Abstract The objective was to identify the main biopsychosocial characteristics among sexual aggressors of children and adolescents listed in 250 legal cases processed in the Court for Crimes against Children and Adolescents, in municipalities located in the North of Brazil. The variables analyzed: previous crimes, severity of the aggression, age of the perpetrator, and sex and age of the victim. The χ test was used for descriptive analysis and association. The results demonstrate acts of greater severity with adolescents and less severe acts without penetration with children. Younger people more often victimized unrelated teenagers, while older people preferred to victimize children belonging to the same family. The results demonstrated the establishment of a trend in terms of its biopsychosocial characteristics.

Resumo O objetivo foi identificar as principais características biopsicossociais entre agressores sexuais de crianças e adolescentes arrolados em 250 processos judiciais tramitados em Juizado de Crimes contra Crianças e Adolescentes, em municípios localizados no Norte do Brasil. As variáveis analisadas: prática de crimes anteriores, severidade da agressão, idade do autor e sexo e idade da vítima. Utilizou-se o teste χ para análise descritiva e associação. Os resultados demonstram atos de maior severidade com adolescentes, e os de menor severidade atos sem penetração com crianças. Os mais jovens vitimaram em maior proporção adolescentes sem parentesco, enquanto os mais velhos preferiram vítimas crianças pertencentes à mesma família. Os resultados demonstraram o estabelecimento de uma tendência em termos das suas características biopsicossociais.

Resumo Pretende-se realizar uma revisão temática da literatura analisando o processo da maternidade em três fases: gravidez, parto e pós-parto. Destaque especial é dado ao trabalho que o aparelho psíquico materno deve assumir ao gerenciar as solicitações advindas do reencontro com conteúdo arcaicos do seu passado durante a gestação, no trabalho de parto e no exercício da maternagem no encontro com o bebê. Busca-se engendrar uma discussão teórica sensível, à luz da psicanálise, sobre a travessia subjetiva da maternidade, suas complexidades, encontros e desencontros. Levando em consideração que as habilidades necessárias aos cuidados com o bebê envolvem, a capacidade de rêverie, a transmissão psíquica transgeracional e a história de trocas intersubjetivas entre a mãe e os seus próprios cuidadores.

Abstract This article aims to analyze three fundamental phases of motherhood: pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. Special emphasis is placed on the work that the maternal psychic apparatus must undertake in managing the demands arising from the reunion with archaic contents from their past during pregnancy, in the process of childbirth, and in the exercise of mothering when engaging with the baby. Our goal is to foster a thoughtful theoretical discussion, drawing from psychoanalysis, about the subjective journey of motherhood, with its intricate complexities, connections, and disconnections. This exploration considers that the skills required for baby care involve: ability of reverie, transmission of psychological aspects across generations, and the history of interpersonal exchanges between the mother and her own caregivers.

Resumo Trabalhar em uma maternidade envolve a escuta dos efeitos mobilizadores que a chegada de um filho tem sobre a vida psíquica dos pais. O tempo de espera de uma criança também inclui um tempo de construção da parentalidade. A questão que aqui levantamos é o desafio da inscrição na parentalidade diante de situações de perdas perinatais. No caso de bebês natimortos ou que nascem e vivem por pouco tempo, os pais se deparam com um duplo encontro com o real: a chegada do bebê que é, por sua vez, também uma despedida. Propomos retomar a noção de trauma na psicanálise a fim de discutir alguns aspectos em torno dos impactos da perda perinatal para a inscrição na parentalidade.

Abstract Working in a maternity hospital involves listening to the mobilizing effects of a baby’s arrival on parents' psychic condition. Waiting for a baby is also a parenthood-building time. The aim of the current study is to address the challenge of parenthood in perinatal loss cases. Parents face the real twice when it comes to stillborn babies, or babies who are born alive and live for a short period-of-time, since the baby’s arrival is also a farewell. We herein return to the concept of trauma in psychoanalysis to address some aspects of perinatal loss impact on parenthood.

Resumo Os percursos de crianças “naufragadas pela História”, muitas vezes separadas de seus pais de forma irreversível, ensinam sobre formas de construção de si próprias. A partir destas experiências, o presente artigo destaca o que poderia ser pensado e implementado hoje para crianças que necessitam de medidas de proteção. Dois fragmentos de pesquisa serão colocados em perspectiva. O primeiro refere-se a "os filhos de Terezin", no qual A. Freud relatou a evolução das crianças durante mais de um ano. Trinta anos depois, Moskovitz questiona o destino destas crianças. O segundo fragmento centra-se nas crianças da Ilha da Reunião, exiladas na França metropolitana entre 1962 e 1984. Dois pontos comuns nos parecem relevantes: a filiação e afiliação e a clínica da simbolização.

Abstract Journeys of children, who were “shipwrecked by history”, can teach us about the way they built themselves as they were separated from their parents, often irreversibly. The objective of this article is to highlight what could be thought and implemented today for children in need of protection measures, based on these specific experiences. Two pieces of research are put into perspective. The first refers to “the children of Terezin”. A. Freud reported on the evolution of these children for over a year. Thirty years later, Moskovitz wanted to find out what happened to them. The second piece focuses on children of Reunion Island, exiled to mainland France. Two salient points are common: filiation and affiliation; the clinic of symbolization.

Resumo Os desenvolvimentos legislativos e sociais levaram à prevenção, à supervisão e ao cuidado das mulheres vítimas de violência doméstica, bem como das crianças expostas a ela, e à consideração da paternidade dos agressores. O objetivo de nosso estudo é lançar luz sobre a paternidade deses sujeitos, em particular sua experiência psicológica, o fato de serem pais. Trinta infratores condenados a penas de prisão com medidas psicoeducativas ou terapêuticas associadas foram entrevistados. As entrevistas semi-diretivas, objeto de uma dupla análise lexical e temática (18), mostram que o exercício e a prática da paternidade deses sujeitos fazem parte de experiências traumáticas da infância. Dois casos clínicos destacam a necessidade de incentivar a subjetivação de sua relação com o outro, seu sofrimento e sua paternidade, utilizando mecanismos terapêuticos genuínos.

Résumé Des évolutions législatives et sociales ont conduit à prévenir, encadrer et prendre en charge les femmes victimes de violences conjugales autant que les enfants exposés à celles-ci et à considérer la parentalité des auteurs. L’objectif de notre étude est d’éclairer la parentalité de ces sujets en particulier son expérience psychique, leur être-père. Trente auteurs condamnés à des peines avec des mesures psychoéducatives ou thérapeutiques associées ont été rencontrés. Les entretiens semi-directifs, objets d’une double analyse lexicale et thématique (18), montrent que l’exercice et la pratique de la parentalité de ces sujets s’inscrivent dans des expériences infantiles traumatiques. Deux cas cliniques soulignent la nécessité de favoriser la subjectivation de leur lien à l’autre, de leur souffrance et de leur être-père grâce à de véritables dispositifs thérapeutiques.

Abstract Legislative and social developments have led to attempts to prevent domestic violence and provide more support and care for female victims and children exposed to such violence, as well as to scrutiny of the parenting of perpetrators. The aim of our study is to shed light on the parenting of these subjects, and particularly their psychological experience, their 'being a father'. Thirty offenders sentenced to terms of imprisonment combined with psycho-educational or treatment measures were interviewed. The semi-structured interviews, the subject of a double lexical and thematic analysis (18), show that these subjects' exercise and practice of parenting are linked to traumatic childhood experiences. Two clinical cases highlight the need to encourage the subjectification of their relationship with the partner, their suffering and their fatherhood through genuine treatment measures.

Resumo A pandemia colocou para todos a parentalidade em lugar vulnerável e gerou novos desafios para a vivência da perinatalidade e parentalidade para as mulheres. Este estudo trata-se de uma pesquisa-ação, transversal, de abordagem quantitativa e qualitativa, que apresentará os resultados da fase final da pesquisa, referentes à avaliação dos efeitos do Pré-natal Psicológico (PNP) na redução do sofrimento psíquico materno. Os resultados mostraram-se positivos quanto à eficácia do PNP na prevenção da depressão pós-parto e redução do sofrimento psíquico, no que tange às questões da perinatalidade e parentalidade, mesmo em período de pandemia.

Abstract The pandemic has put parenthood in a vulnerable place for everyone, generating new challenges for women's experience of perinatality and parenthood. This study is an action research, cross-sectional, with a quantitative and qualitative approach, which will present the results of the final phase of the research, referring to the evaluation of the effects of Psychological Prenatal Care (PNP) in reducing maternal psychological distress. The results were positive in terms of the effectiveness of PNP in preventing postpartum depression and reducing psychological distress with regard to perinatal and parenting issues, even during the pandemic.

Resumo Este artigo é um ensaio teórico que visa pensar criticamente a parentalidade sob o prisma da mulher trabalhadora brasileira no exercício da maternidade. Para tanto, o paradigma de pensamento da psicanálise foi convocado a fim de problematizar a dimensão sociopolítica encontrada pela mulher no Brasil e a influência dos dispositivos discursivos neoliberais e seus efeitos no psiquismo. Conclui-se que, sob o imperativo do gozo da cultura contemporânea, a mulher brasileira está por conta própria na busca por corresponder ao ideal de mulher contemporânea de mãe dedicada e profissional de sucesso, conduzindo-a inevitavelmente à exploração de seu trabalho reprodutivo

Abstract This article is a theoretical essay aimed at critical thinking about parenthood from the perspective of Brazilian working women in the exercise of motherhood. To this end, the paradigm of psychoanalysis was used to problematize the socio-political dimension encountered by women in Brazil and the influence of neoliberal discursive devices and their effects on the psyche. The conclusion is that, under the rule of enjoyment in contemporary culture, Brazilian women are on their own in their quest to live up to the ideal of contemporary women as dedicated mothers and successful professionals, inevitably leading them to exploit their reproductive work

Résumé Dans cet article nous présentons les premiers résultats d'une recherche sur la parentalité des mères victimes de violences conjugales. L'objectif principal est d'améliorer le soutien aux mères. Le protocole de recherche, d'une durée de 12 mois, comprend des entretiens cliniques, des méthodes projectives (génogramme, CAT et TAT) et la Relation Scale Questionnaire. Nous présentons ici les résultats obtenus à partir de 7 entretiens cliniques avec les mères et d'une étude de cas. Les résultats montrent un niveau élevé d'insécurité, une instabilité des repères par rapport à la réalité sociale et psychologique et une détérioration des ressources internes. L'accompagnement des mères victimes et de leur parentalité doit donc se faire non seulement sur le plan socio-économique, mais aussi sur le plan psychologique, afin de les aider à se reconstruire.

Abstract In this paper we present the first results of a research on the parenthood of mothers who are victims of conjugal violence. The main objective is to improve support for mothers. The 12-month research protocol includes clinical interviews, projective methods (genogram, CAT and TAT) and the Relation Scale Questionnaire. We present here the results obtained from 7 clinical interviews with the mothers and a case study. The results show a high level of insecurity, unstable points of reference in terms of social and psychological reality, and a deterioration in internal resources. Support for victimized mothers and their parenthood must therefore be provided not only on a socio-economic level, but also on a psychological level, to help them rebuild their lives.

Resumo A intervenção do Estado em algumas famílias é atravessada por estigmas e crenças arraigadas no Brasil. Gestar um bebê é distinto de constituir com ele um vínculo de parentalidade. A partir dos dispositivos legais para intervir com famílias “não protetivas" ou que manifestam desejo da entrega voluntária em adoção, propomos uma leitura crítica sobre como a atuação estatal afeta a parentalidade. Realizou-se estudo de dois casos a partir de registros e entrevistas com a equipe de um serviço de acolhimento familiar. A despeito da legislação contemplar direitos reprodutivos e de convivência familiar e comunitária, a prática de muitos profissionais ameaça o direito de algumas mulheres pobres, com histórico de violências, sofrimento mental e/ou uso de drogas, criarem seus filhos.

Abstract State intervention in some families in Brazil is crossed by stigmas and ingrained beliefs. Giving birth to a baby is different from forming a parenting bond. Based on the legal devices to intervene with "non-protective" families or those who express a desire for voluntary adoption surrender, we propose a critical reading of how the State action affects parenting. A study of two cases was carried out based on records and interviews with the team of a foster care service. Despite the legislation contemplating reproductive rights, family and community rights, the practice of many professionals threatens the rights of some poor women, with history of violence, mental suffering and/or drug use, to raise their children.
