Abstract Background The treatment for atopic dermatitis (AD) has been the focus of clinical research, and behavioral intervention is considered an indispensable treatment method. To our knowledge, no relevant meta-analysis has evaluated the effects of behavioral interventions on atopic dermatitis. Objectives To evaluate the effects of behavioral interventions on atopic dermatitis. Methods The authors searched PubMed, EMBASE, and Cochrane CENTRAL to retrieve relevant RCTs (up to Feb 2022). The search strategy involved a combination of related keywords. The Cochrane Q and I2 statistics were used to assess heterogeneity. Results Six RCTs involving seven reports with 246 patients were included. The results suggested that behavioral interventions could relieve eczema severity (correlation coefficient [r = −0.39]; p < 0.001) and scratching severity significantly (r = −0.19; p = 0.017), while not affect itching intensity (r = −0.02; p = 0.840). A sensitivity analysis confirmed the robustness of the results. Study limitations An important limitation of this study was the insufficient number of RCTs and the limited sample size. In addition, the study lacked a control group receiving a type of intervention other than the experimental protocol. Another limitation was the short duration of follow-up. Conclusions This study suggests that behavioral interventions could be effective in treating atopic dermatitis by reducing eczema and scratching severity. Additionally, habit-reversal behavioral therapy may be more effective for treating atopic dermatitis.

PURPOSE: This article attempts to find a unique mechanism in the relationship between entrepreneurial bricolage and new ventures growth by testing the mediating role of market ambidexterity, and the moderating effect of entrepreneurial networks DESIGN/METHODOLOGY/APPROACH: This article establishes a research model by considering entrepreneurial bricolage as the independent variable, market ambidexterity as mediators, entrepreneurial networks as a moderate variable, and new ventures growth performance as the dependent variable. The survey data collected from 372 Chinese new ventures were subjected to the hierarchical linear regression method for testing the proposed hypotheses FINDINGS/RESULTS: The results of this study indicate that entrepreneurial bricolage has a positive effect on new ventures growth. However, entrepreneurial networks negatively moderate the positive relationship between the two; In addition, both the balanced of market ambidexterity and combined of market ambidexterity partially mediate the relationship between entrepreneurial bricolage and new ventures growth. Finally, entrepreneurial networks have different moderating effects on the relationship between market ambidexterity and new ventures PRACTICAL IMPLICATIONS: The study highlights the importance of entrepreneurial bricolage and market ambidexterity strategies for sustainable growth in resource-constrained startups, advising them to focus on leveraging internal resources while selectively building entrepreneurial networks to avoid resource dispersion. Abstract Background Sustained pathological cardiac hypertrophy (CH) is an independent risk factor for increased incidence and mortality of cardiovascular events. Objectives This research was designed to unravel the role of long non-coding RNA (LncRNA) CCAT2 in CH progression. Methods Transverse aortic constriction (TAC) procedures were conducted to construct a pressure overload-induced in vivo CH model. Angiotensin II (Ang II) treatment was utilized to induce hypertrophic rat cardiomyocyte H9c2 cells. Results In vivo results showed that silencing of CCAT2 reduced cardiomyocyte surface area, alleviated cardiac fibrosis, and decreased β-MHC, ANP, and BNP levels in CH mouse models. In vitro results revealed that CCAT2 knockdown reduced cell surface area and attenuated β-MHC, ANP, and BNP levels in hypertrophic H9c2 cells. Besides, CCAT2 silencing decreased the levels of active β-catenin, phosphorylated-GSK-3β, and Wnt target genes (c-Myc, cyclinD1, and c-Jun) in CH mice and hypertrophic H9c2 cells. Importantly, treatment with the Wnt/β-catenin pathway activator LiCl reversed the suppression of CCAT2 knockdown on H9c2 cell surface area and MHC, ANP, and BNP levels. Conclusions Collectively, CCAT2 silencing plays a protective role against CH through inactivating the Wnt/β-catenin signaling, which suggests that CCAT2 might become a promising therapeutic target for CH.

Resumo Fundamento A hipertrofia cardíaca patológica (HC) sustentada é um fator de risco independente para aumento da incidência e mortalidade de eventos cardiovasculares. Objetivos Esta pesquisa foi projetada para desvendar o papel do RNA não codificante longo (LncRNA) CCAT2 na progressão da HC. Métodos Procedimentos de constrição aórtica transversal (TAC) foram conduzidos para construir um modelo de HC in vivo induzido por sobrecarga de pressão. O tratamento com angiotensina II (Ang II) foi utilizado para induzir células hipertróficas de cardiomiócitos de rato H9c2. Resultados Os resultados in vivo mostraram que o silenciamento de CCAT2 reduziu a área de superfície dos cardiomiócitos, aliviou a fibrose cardíaca e diminuiu os níveis de β-MHC, ANP e BNP em modelos de camundongos HC. Os resultados in vitro revelaram que o knockdown de CCAT2 reduziu a área de superfície celular e atenuou os níveis de β-MHC, ANP e BNP em células hipertróficas H9c2. Além disso, o silenciamento de CCAT2 diminuiu os níveis de β-catenina ativa, GSK-3β fosforilada e genes alvo Wnt (c-Myc, ciclinaD1 e c-Jun) em camundongos HC e células H9c2 hipertróficas. É importante ressaltar que o tratamento com o ativador da via Wnt / β-catenina LiCl reverteu a supressão do knockdown de CCAT2 na área de superfície celular H9c2 e nos níveis de MHC, ANP e BNP. Conclusões Coletivamente, o silenciamento do CCAT2 desempenha um papel protetor contra a HC através da inativação da sinalização Wnt/β-catenina, o que sugere que o CCAT2 pode se tornar um alvo terapêutico promissor para o HC.

ABSTRACT: Bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) can cause acute and persistent infections in cattle, resulting in significant economic losses to the livestock industry each year. Targeted antiviral therapy is an effective strategy. This study was based on network pharmacology, molecular docking techniques and in vitro studies to investigate quercetin’s mechanism in treating bovine viral diarrhea/mucosal disease (BVD-MD). The network topology analysis was carried out using Cytoscape 3.9.0 software to construct the network of “Chinese medicine ingredients-target-diseases”. Protein interactions were explored and analyzed using the String system (PPI). GO and KEGG pathway analysis of the intersected targets was performed using Bioconductor software. The molecular docking and molecular dynamics simulation methods were used to reveal the degree of binding of quercetin to key target genes. Western blot and indirect immunofluorescence were used to characterize the antiviral effects of quercetin. This study utilized network pharmacological analysis, identifying 22 targets associated with BVD-MD. The results of the KEGG pathway showed that quercetin was closely related to Ras and MAPK signaling pathways of BVD-MD. Molecular docking results showed that SRC, NS5B, NOX4 and XDH were the key targets of quercetin in the treatment of BVD-MD. Through network pharmacology, molecular docking and in vitro experiments, quercetin was demonstrated to combat bovine viral diarrhea mucosal disease through key targets of SRC, MAPK1, GSK3B, NS5B and E2. Molecular dynamics analysis showed that quercetin exhibited complex stability with NS5B. This study provides a theoretical and experimental basis for quercetin treatment of BVD-MD and later drug development.

Abstract NCED1 (9-cis-epoxy carotenoid dioxygenase) plays important roles in controlling ABA levels and drought stress tolerance. The relationships between sequence polymorphisms of the TaNCED1 gene and drought resistance in wheat were analysed. Four allelic variations of the TaNCED1-5B generated to drought resistance were identified. Four groups of KASP (kompetitive allele-specific PCR) markers were developed based on the four alleles and were verified in a natural population of 311 wheat cultivars. The distribution of the four alleles of TaNCED1-5B in the natural population was clarified. Among the allelic variations, 84.62% of the wheat varieties with TT/-/C/-,TT/C/C/-,TT/-/C/G or TT/C/C/G haplotypes were dryland cultivars. The common feature of the above four haplotypes is that they all contain the TT (98) and C (343) alleles at the TaNCED1-5B-TT/CG (98) and TaNCED1-5B-C/T (343) loci, which indicated that these two locis had highly positive correlation with drought resistance in wheat.

Resumo: A questão da privacidade na tecnologia de reconhecimento facial é que as companhias comerciais obtém informações faciais das pessoas sem seu consentimento e usam informação facial para infringir sua privacidade. A importância da privacidade humana na tecnologia de reconhecimento facial é refletida através da ética facial, que exige que se cumpram obrigações correspondentes para com os indivíduos, da mesma forma como com cuidados orais. Através da análise de aspectos de privacidade na tecnologia de reconhecimento facial, encontrou-se que os dois elementos “sem informação pessoal” e “sem consentimento pessoal” juntos, formam a base para companhias comerciais violarem a privacidade pessoal. O princípio do consentimento informado inclui o princípio de informação e o princípio de consentimento, os quais derivam do princípio do consentimento informado em ética médica. Esse artigo melhora os princípios do consentimento informado em medicina e ética para melhor incluir aspectos de privacidade no reconhecimento facial.

Abstract: The privacy problem of facial recognition technology is that commercial companies obtain people’s facial information without the consent of individuals and use facial information to infringe on the privacy of individuals. The importance of human privacy in facial recognition technology is reflected through facial ethics, which requires others to perform corresponding obligations to individuals, such as oral care. Through the analysis of the privacy issues of facial recognition technology, it is found that the two elements of “without personal informed” and “without personal consent” together form the basis for commercial companies to violate personal privacy. The principle of informed consent includes the principle of informed and the principle of consent, which is derived from the principle of informed consent in medical ethics. This paper improves the principles of informed consent in medicine and ethics to better address facial recognition privacy issues.

Resumen: El problema de la privacidad en la tecnología de reconocimiento facial es que las empresas comerciales obtienen información facial de las personas sin el consentimiento de éstas y utilizan la información facial para vulnerar la privacidad de las personas. La importancia de la privacidad de las personas en la tecnología de reconocimiento facial se refleja a través de la ética facial, que exige que otros cumplan las obligaciones correspondientes con los individuos, como el cuidado bucal. A través del análisis de los problemas de privacidad de la tecnología de reconocimiento facial se descubre que los dos elementos de “sin información personal” y “sin consentimiento personal” juntos forman la base para que las empresas comerciales violen la privacidad personal. El principio de consentimiento informado incluye el de información y el de consentimiento, que se deriva del principio de consentimiento informado de la ética médica. Este artículo mejora los principios del consentimiento informado en medicina y ética para abordar mejor los problemas de privacidad del reconocimiento facial.

ABSTRACT Introduction: According to the American Heart Association guideline for coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), female patients undergoing on-pump CABG (ONCAB) are at higher risk of short-term adverse outcomes than male patients. However, whether off-pump CABG (OPCAB) can improve the short-term outcome of female patients compared to ONCAB remains unclear. Methods: We conducted a meta-analysis to study the effect of the female sex on short-term outcomes of OPCAB vs. ONCAB. A total of 31,115 patients were enrolled in 12 studies, including 20,245 females who underwent ONCAB and 10,910 females who underwent OPCAB. Results: The in-hospital mortality in female patients who underwent OPCAB was significantly lower than in those in the ONCAB group with (2.7% vs. 3.4%; odds ratio [OR] 0.76; 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.65-0.89) and without (OR 0.68; 95% CI 0.52-0.89) adjustment for cardiovascular risk factor. The incidence of postoperative stroke in female patients who underwent OPCAB was lower than in those in the ONCAB group (1.2% vs. 2.1%; OR 0.59; 95% CI 0.48-0.73) before cardiovascular risk factor adjustment but was not significant (OR 0.87; 95% CI 0,66-1.16) after adjustment. There was no significant difference in the incidence of postoperative myocardial infarction between women who underwent OPCAB and those in the ONCAB group (1.3% vs. 2.3%; OR 0.88; 95% CI 0.54-1.43). Conclusion: In contrast to the American Heart Association CABG guideline, female patients who had OPCAB don’t have unfavorable outcomes compared with the ONCAB group. This work presented a new PEG modified calix[4]arene stationary phase (C4A-PEG-2PTSC) for gas chromatographic (GC) separations. The statically coated C4A-PEG-2PTSC column exhibited moderate polarity and column efficiency of 2224 plates m-1 determined by 1-octanol at 120 oC. The results showed that the C4A-PEG-2PTSC column exhibited the good separation performance for various types of analytes containing halogenated benzenes, benzaldehydes, phenols, alcohols, anilines isomers and showed the different retention behavior with the comparative columns. Importantly, it showed the better separation capacity of toluidine and xylidine isomers than commercial HP-35 column. Moreover, it was applied in practical sample analysis to detect the content of isomer impurities. Pilot trials have suggested that repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) may reduce limb spasticity in multiple sclerosis (MS). We carried out the current meta-analysis to synthesize currently available evidence regarding such correlation. Up to November 2022, five international electronic databases (Cochrane CENTRAL, PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and CINAHL) and four Chinese electronic databases (CBM, CNKI, WanFang Data, and VIP) were systematically searched to identify randomized trials comparing active rTMS and sham stimulation in patients with MS-related spasticity. Two reviewers independently selected studies and extracted data on study design, quality, clinical outcomes, and time points measured. The primary outcome was clinical spasticity relief after intervention. Secondary outcomes included spasticity at the follow-up visit 2 weeks later and post-treatment fatigue. Of 831 titles found, we included 8 studies (181 participants) in the quantitative analysis. Pooled analyses showed that rTMS therapy was associated with significant spasticity relief in the early post-intervention period [standardized mean differences (SMD): -0.67; 95%CI: -1.12 to -0.21], but there was insufficient evidence for rTMS in reducing spasticity at the follow-up visit 2 weeks later (SMD: -0.17; 95%CI: -0.52 to 0.17) and fatigue (SMD: -0.26; 95%CI: -0.84 to 0.31). Abstract With the higher requirements of various tactical and technical indicators of the weapon systems, the current research on the ignition and combustion characteristics of different types of solid propellants is not comprehensive. In more complex and harsh environmental conditions, the pressure affects the ignition and combustion characteristics. Therefore, the paper studies the ignition and combustion characteristics of the modified double-base propellants (MDB propellants) and fuel-rich propellants (FR propellants) under low-pressure environment. Combining experiment and theory, the ignition delay time and burning rate of two kinds of solid propellants are compared and analyzed at low pressure by the laser ignition experimental device. The results displayed that the burning flames of the FR and MDB propellant presented evident V-shape and cylindrical, respectively. The flame brightness decreased with the decrease in pressure. With the increase of pressure and heat flux, the ignition delay time of the MDB propellant and the FR propellant decreased. By comparison, Model 2 of the ignition delay time was more effective for the estimation of the ignition delay time of the FR propellant. The experimental results are compared with the three burning rate models, which are the Vielle formula (Model 1), Summerfield formula (Model 2), and B-number burning rate formula (Model 3). The results showed the burning rate was more in accord with Model 3.

Abstract Background This paper aims to assess the impact of antibiotic therapy management by clinical pharmacists on rational drug use (RDU) in the perioperative period of patients receiving retinal detachment surgery in China from the perspective of prescription structure. Methods: In this study, a retrospective study was used to compare the differences in the RDU between 233 patients (the experimental group) receiving medical treatment and 210 patients (the control group) without clinical pharmacist intervention. The data were collected with a set of indicators adjusted from the core medication use indicator proposed by the World Health Organization and the International Network of Rational Use of Drugs according to the background of China. Results: There were significant differences in average number of drugs per prescription (19.7 and 20.8, P = 0.001), percentage of drugs on the reimbursable list (98.32% and 72.4%, P = 0.003), and average treatment expenditure per prescription (555.3 yuan and 707 yuan) between the experimental group and the controlled group, while average number of antibiotics per prescription (4.2 and 4.3, P = 0.114), average number of injections per prescription (12.02 to 11.96, P = 0.804) were not changed significantly. Conclusions: More efforts are needed to improve the effectiveness of the antibiotic therapy management by clinical pharmacist on rational drug use, meanwhile the objective of cost-saving should be included in the service pattern of clinical pharmacy services.

Abstract Proteomics is a powerful tool to understand molecular connections between meat proteins and quality traits. In order to research the total proteome difference and molecular mechanisms related to quality traits in different parts of yak meat. This study was designed to investigate the differences in the proteomes of yak different muscles. In this paper, Tandem Mass Tags (TMT) coupled Liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) to study the variations of proteome in different parts of yak after it is slaughtered. In total, 88 differentially expressed proteins (DEPs) were identified among striplon (WJR), slivsid (HGT) and chuck (JR). The quality analysis of DEPs showed heat shock proteins (HSPs) and structural proteins could be used as tenderness marker proteins for different parts of yak meat. Myosin and troponin-T may be flavour marker protein in yak meat. The bioinformatics analysis revealed that DEPs are involved in glycolysis, protein structure and phosphorylation. PPI analysis revealed thatmyosin, HSPs and metabolic enzymes may have the potential to be biological markers. This study highlights that the DEPs were responsible for meat quality different.

Abstract In order to study the tenderness mechanism of difference in different parts of Yak meat, the differentially expressed proteins (DEPs) and its correlation with quality of Yak meat were studied by TMT (Tandem Mass Tags, TMT) quantitative proteomic method. The results showed that 25, 40 and 34 DEPs were identified in JR/HGT, WJR/HGT and WJR/JR groups, respectively. Correlation analysis between DEPs and quality traits of yak meat showed that there were 12 DEPs with significant correlation were correlated closely with quality traits.The relative contents of the 11 DEPs were significantly different in different parts (p < 0.05).There are 8, 9 and 6 key DEPs in JR/HGT, WJR/HGT and WJR/JR groups, respectively.The expression of these DEPs were down-regulated and up-regulated in different parts, and was closely related to the cell growth and death, carbohydrate metabolism, amino acid metabolism, protein binding, motility activity and unfolded protein binding.The significant difference of the expression of these key proteins in different parts is the internal reason of the difference of quality traits among WJR, JR and HGT.This provide a reference for the study on the mechanism of difference in Yak meat.

Abstract To investigate the function and mechanism of GINS complex subunit 2 (GINS2) in osteoblast and osteoclast in steroid-induced osteonecrosis of the femoral head (SINFH). Clinical specimens were collected from 40 cases of SINFH patients and 40 cases of control patients. Then, SINFH mouse model was built. Immediately, osteoblasts and osteoclasts were induced and differented from the pre-osteoblast cell line MC3T3-E1 and the mononuclear macrophage cell line RAW264.7 of mice, respectively. The qRT-PCR assay was used for detecting the expressions of GINS2, p53 and growth arrest and DNA damage 45A (GADD45A). The cytoactive, proliferation and apoptosis of osteoblasts and osteoclasts of SINFH mice were measured by tartaric acid phosphatase staining, CCK-8 and Annexin V-FITC/PI dual staining, respectively. GINS2 was up-regulated while p53/GADD45A was down-regulated in femoral tissues in SINFH patients and mice. GINS2 was down-regulated while p53 and GADD45A were up-regulated in osteoblasts of SINFH mice, which presented opposite trends in osteoclasts formations. GINS2 decreased osteoblasts activities and increased osteoclasts activities, inhibited apoptosis and promoted proliferation in osteoblasts and osteoclasts via p53/GADD45A pathway. GINS2 affects activity/differentiation, apoptosis and proliferation of osteoblast and osteoclast in steroid-induced osteonecrosis of the femoral head by regulating p53/GADD45A signaling pathway.
