The metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) UiO-66-NH2, UiO-66-2,5-(OH)2, UiO-66-NO2, UiO-66-NDC, and UiO-66-BPDC were synthesized under solvothermal conditions using different functionalized organic linkers. The structures and properties of the samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, scanning electron microscopy, and nitrogen adsorption-desorption isotherms. The crystal structures of these functionalized UiO-66(Zr) forms were similar. A series of functionalized UiO-66(Zr) samples were used in the adsorption of carbon dioxide (CO2). UiO-66-NH2 had the highest CO2 adsorption capacity (about 3.35 mmol g-1) due to its small polar -NH2 group. The performance of UiO-66-NH2 in CO2 adsorption at different temperatures was also determined. RESUMO: A migração de crianças adultas rurais suscitou preocupações crescentes sobre a fragilidade do apoio intergeracional das crianças aos seus pais que ficaram para trás. Com base nos dados dos China Family Panel Studies, este artigo analisa sistematicamente o impacto da migração de crianças adultas rurais no apoio intergeracional aos seus pais de meia-idade e idosos que ficaram para trás e explora ainda mais o efeito moderador da cultura do clã sobre ela. ABSTRACT: Rural adult children’s migration has raised growing concerns about the weakness in children’s intergenerational support to their left-behind parents. Based on the data from the China Family Panel Studies, this paper systematically analyzed the impact of rural adult children’s migration on intergenerational support to their middle-aged and elderly left-behind parents and further explores the moderating effect of clan culture on it. It has found that the migration of rural adult children does not weaken intergenerational support for their parents across the board, but affects the forms of intergenerational support; that is, it changes from “serving on the side” to “focusing on material”, and from “face-to-face” emotion comfort to “network” communication. This research aims to develop a precise and efficient dispersive solid-phase microextraction (DSPE) technique using third-generation polyamidoamine (PAMAM) dendrimer-grafted nanoparticles to quantify benzoylurea pesticides in green tea, black tea, and oolong tea infusions. The extraction efficiency is optimized through single-factor adjustments of key parameters, including adsorbent quantity (5-20 mg), adsorption duration (5-20 min), desorbent identity (methanol, acetonitrile), volume (100-600 μL), sodium chloride concentration (0-10%, m/v), and sample solution pH (3-8). The optimized method demonstrates linearity in the range of 2-500 μg L-1, with limits of detection (LODs) ranging from 0.6-1.5 μg L-1 and limits of quantification (LOQs) from 2.0 5.0 μg L-1. ABSTRACT: China is the biggest muskmelon producing country across the world. Extreme application of fertilizer during planting of muskmelon poses a serious threat to the environment and food safety, so how to promote farmers to use organic fertilizer has become an important topic. This study creatively introduced green awareness into the extended framework of theory of planned behavior to explore the decisive factors of muskmelon farmers’ behavior intention to apply green organic fertilizer. The structural equation model is used for investigating behavior intention of 543 muskmelon farmers in Leting County, China. The results suggested that both subjective norm and green awareness can affect muskmelon farmers’ behavior intention positively and significantly. When the subjective norm increases by 1 standard deviation, the farmers’ intention increases by 1.028 standard deviation; for every 1 standard deviation increase in green awareness, the farmers’ intention increased by 0.703 standard deviation. Considering the cytotoxic properties of Schiff base ligands, we re-synthesized a gold(III) complex with a tetradentate Schiff base ligand and investigated its cytotoxic effects using the MTT (3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide) method and sulforhodamine B staining method. The results showed that the gold(III) Schiff base complex can inhibit the growth of Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cancer cell lines. However, unlike cisplatin, it does not induce cell death in NIH 3T3 normal cells. Real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) results revealed that the gold(III) Schiff base complex increased the Bak1/Bclx ratio in CHO cell line by 3.53-fold compared to the control, while cisplatin increased the anti-apoptotic Bclx gene by 31.8 times and the treatment resistance AKT1 gene by 430.8 times the control. However, cisplatin only activated the extrinsic pathway of apoptosis through the caspase-3 gene. BiOCl/KBiO3 p-n heterostructures with hierarchical mesoporous architectures were successfully synthesized via a facile in situ method. The X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and scanning electron microscope (SEM) results indicate the formation of heterojunctions between BiOCl and KBiO3. The photocatalytic performance of the as-prepared samples was investigated by the degradation of dye Rhodamine B (RhB) under visible light irradiation. BiOCl/KBiO3 composite has never been used to photodegrade the RhB which is a common dye and very difficult to degrade. The results demonstrated that KBiO3 combined with proper amount of BiOCl nanosheets exhibited high efficiency in the photocatalytic process, and BiOCl/KBiO3 with the molar ratio of 70/30 demonstrated the highest photocatalytic activity due to its large surface area, excellent charge separation characteristics and the suppressed recombination of electron-hole pairs. No entanto, as mudanças nas alterações da paisagem nas áreas montanhosas cársticas atribuídas a atividades humanas complexas permanecem obscuras. A investigação sobre o grau de alteração da paisagem em zonas montanhosas sob a influência das atividades humanas é de grande importância para a conservação e gestão científica das paisagens montanhosas. ABSTRACT: Landscape patterns in mountainous areas with rapid economic development are strongly affected by multiple human activities. However, the changes in landscape disturbances across karst mountainous areas attributed to complex human activities remain unclear. Research on the degree of landscape disturbance in mountainous areas under the influence of human activities is of great significance to the conservation and scientific management of mountainous landscapes. We selected rural zones with four typical small-scale landform types in karst mountainous areas as the research objects and analyzed the response of changes in rural landscape disturbance to human activity in these areas. Our results revealed that the landscape disturbance degree and human activity influence index increase in the majority of karst mountainous areas. The changes in human activity and landscape disturbances are generally observed in the low terrain relief region. High-intensity land use associated with rapid economic development has a serious negative impact on the degree of landscape disturbance, while ecological restoration projects exert a positive impact. RESUMO: A quantificação e avaliação das mudanças espaço-temporais na qualidade do solo são importantes para compreender os mecanismos de degradação do solo e restaurar a produtividade da terra danificada. Contudo, os efeitos da subsidência da mineração de carvão nas características espaciais e temporais da qualidade do solo não são bem compreendidos. Foram investigados os teores de pH, matéria orgânica (MO), nitrogênio total (NT), nitrogênio nitrato (NN), nitrogênio amoniacal (AN), fósforo total (TP), fósforo disponível (FA), potássio disponível (AK), total potássio (TK), capacidade de troca catiônica (CEC), atividade de sacarase (SA), atividade de urease (UA), atividade de fosfatase (PA), atividade de catalase (CA) e atividade de desidrogenase (DA) na área subsidiada de mineração de carvão. Os resultados mostraram que os teores de TN, NN, AN, TP, AK, TK, SA, UA, PA, CA e DA apresentaram diferenças significativas (P < 0,05) entre as quatro estações. ABSTRACT: Quantification and evaluation of the spatiotemporal changes in soil quality is important to understand soil degradation mechanisms and restore the damaged land productivity. However, the effects of coal mining subsidence on the spatial and temporal characteristics of soil quality are not well understood. We investigated the contents of pH, organic matter (OM), total nitrogen (TN), nitrate nitrogen (NN), ammonia nitrogen (AN), total phosphorus (TP), available phosphorus (AP), available potassium (AK), total potassium (TK), cation exchange capacity (CEC), sucrase activity (SA), urease activity (UA), phosphatase activity (PA), catalase activity (CA) and dehydrogenase activity (DA) in the coal mining subsided area. The results showed that the contents of TN, NN, AN, TP, AK, TK, SA, UA, PA, CA and DA exhibited significant (P < 0.05) differences among the four seasons. Compared with the upper layer (0-20 cm), the lower layer (20-40 cm) contained higher contents of AN, NN, TN, TP and TK but lower contents of SA, UA, PA, CA and DA. The NN, AP, TP, AK and UA were identified as key indicators in the minimum dataset using principal component analysis. The seasonal changes of soil quality index (SQI) were in the following order: winter (0.707), spring (0.681), summer (0.616), and autumn (0.563). Abstract The analysis of the production of learners of a foreign language is crucial for defining the parameters by which it is acquired. Therefore, the development and use of learner corpora are indispensable. The Covid-19 pandemic brought about changes in teaching methodology. During this period, due to the impossibility of conducting in-person classes and the necessity for students to submit their work electronically for correction, it became possible to compile a corpus using the essays of Chinese learners studying Spanish at Nankai University (China). This article aims to detail the steps for creating a textual corpus, its compilation, and the tools to be used for its analysis, specifically the program AntConc. After the creation and analysis of the corpus, it is concluded that, by using the corpus, one can identify the deficiencies and difficulties faced by students, which allows for the formation of linguistic learning models and the improvement of existing ones. Moreover, its incorporation in the classroom enables the individualization of students’ linguistic learning and the generation of theories about language use.

Resumen El análisis de la producción de los aprendientes de una lengua extranjera resulta vital para definir los parámetros por los que ésta se adquiere. Es por ello que resulta indispensable la elaboración y utilización de corpus de aprendientes. La pandemia de covid-19 provocó cambios en la metodología docente. Durante la misma, debido a la imposibilidad de impartir las clases de manera presencial y al estar el alumno obligado a enviar sus trabajos en formato electrónico para su corrección, fue posible la compilación de un corpus empleando los trabajos de aprendientes chinos que estudian español en la Universidad de Nankai (China). El objetivo de este artículo es detallar los pasos para la creación de un corpus textual, su compilación y las herramientas a emplear para su análisis, específicamente el programa AntConc. Después de la creación y análisis del corpus, se concluye que utilizando el corpus se pueden identificar las carencias y dificultades a las que se enfrentan los estudiantes, lo que permite conformar modelos de aprendizaje lingüístico y mejorar los ya existentes. Además, su incorporación en el aula permite individualizar el aprendizaje lingüístico del alumnado y generar teorías sobre el uso que se hace del lenguaje.

Después de tres etapas de exploración estratégica, desarrollo y mejora, China ha construido una red integral, multi-nivel y tridimensional de asociaciones en LAC. De acuerdo con el grado de amistad política, la influencia geopolítica y el potencial de cooperación económica y comercial de los 15 países asociados con china, este artículo los divide en tres categorías: países de pivote, países de vínculo y países nodales. Las asociaciones de China en LAC son apoyos importantes para que China implemente estrategias diplomáticas en la región. Sin embargo, su desarrollo también enfrenta desafíos, incluido el apoyo insuficiente con otros medios diplomáticos; dudas e interpretaciones erróneas de las relaciones asociativas; y la transformación de identidad nacional de algunos países asociados. China has constructed an all-round, multi-level, and three-dimensional partnership network in LAC through three stages: strategic exploration, development, and improvement. China has implemented differential governance towards its partners, which enables active shaping and dynamic management of the partnership network. This paper categorizes the 15 partner countries into three types: pivot countries, link countries, and node countries based on their political friendliness with China, geopolitical influence, and potential for economic and trade cooperation. China’s partnerships in LAC are vital support for implementing its diplomatic strategy in the region. However, challenges to this strategy’s development include insufficient mutual support from other diplomatic means, doubts and misinterpretations of the China-Latin America partnership by some Latin American countries, and the political and identity shifts within these countries. To enhance the role of partnerships in maintaining state relations and promoting the implementation of diplomatic strategies, China has introduced new content to its partnership diplomacy in LAC.

ABSTRACT Introduction: We aim to compare the safety and effectiveness of the KangDuo (KD)-Surgical Robot-01 (KD-SR-01) system and the da Vinci (DV) system for robot-assisted radical nephroureterectomy (RARNU). Materials and Methods: This multicenter prospective randomized controlled trial was conducted between March 2022 and September 2023. Group 1 included 29 patients undergoing KD-RARNU. Group 2 included 29 patients undergoing DV-RARNU. Patient demographic and clinical characteristics, perioperative data, and follow-up outcomes were collected prospectively and compared between the two groups. Results: There were no significant differences in patient baseline demographic and preoperative characteristics between the two groups. The success rates in both groups were 100% without conversion to open or laparoscopic surgery or positive surgical margins. No significant difference was observed in docking time [242 (120-951) s vs 253 (62-498) s, P = 0.780], console time [137 (55-290) min vs 105 (62-220) min, P = 0.114], operative time [207 (121-460) min vs 185 (96-305) min, P = 0.091], EBL [50 (10-600) mL vs 50 (10-700) mL, P = 0.507], National Aeronautics and Space Administration Task Load Index scores, and postoperative serum creatinine levels between the two groups. None of the patients showed evidence of distant metastasis, local recurrence, or equipment-related adverse events during the four-week follow-up. Conclusions: The KD-SR-01 system is safe and effective for RARNU compared to the DV Si or Xi system. Further randomized controlled studies with larger sample sizes and longer durations are required. ABSTRACT Purpose: We reported, as a referral center in prostate cancer, our perspectives and experience performing Telesurgery using robotic surgery and 5G network. Material and methods: We described and illustrated the Telesurgery applications and outcomes to treat a patient with prostate cancer located 1300 kilometers away from the surgeon (Beijing-Harbin) in China. We used the Edge Medical Robot (MP1000) in November 2023 in a 71-year-old patient with Gleason 6 (ISUP 1) in 8 cores from 13, PSA of 14 ng/dL, and clinical stage cT2a. MRI described a PIRADS 5 nodule on the left peripheral zone at the base, and 20gr prostate. We described details about the connection between centers, perioperative outcomes, and our perspectives as a referral center in prostate cancer. Results: We had no delays, or problems with network connection between the centers. The procedure was performed in 60 minutes, with no intra- or postoperative complications. Estimated blood loss was 100 mL. The patient was ambulating soon after anesthesia recovery. Final pathology described a Gleason 6 (ISUP 1) involving the left base and left seminal vesicle, negative surgical margins, and no lymph node involvement (pT3bN0). Abstract Objective To assess the outcome of patients with cancer-related sepsis requiring continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) in a single-center pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). Method Children with sepsis who necessitate CRRT from January 2017 to December 2021 were enrolled. The patients with leukemia/lymphoma or solid tumors were defined as underlying cancer. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed to identify the death risk factors in patients with cancer-related sepsis. Results A total of 146 patients were qualified for inclusion. Forty-six (31.5%) patients with cancer-related sepsis and 100 (68.5%) non-cancer-related sepsis. The overall PICU mortality was 28.1% (41/146), and mortality was significantly higher in cancer-related sepsis patients compared with non-cancer patients (41.3% vs. 22.0%, p = 0.016). Need mechanical ventilation, p-SOFA, acute liver failure, higher fluid overload at CRRT initiation, hypoalbuminemia, and high inotropic support were associated with PICU mortality in cancer-related sepsis patients. Moreover, levels of IL-6, total bilirubin, creatinine, blood urea nitrogen, and international normalized ratio were significantly higher in non-survivors than survivors. Abstract Objective There is an amelioration in mortality rates of septic shock patients with malignancies over time, but it remains uncertain in children. Therefore, the authors endeavored to compare the clinical characteristics, treatment needs, and outcomes of septic shock children with or without malignancies. Methods The authors retrospectively analyzed the data of children admitted to the PICU due to septic shock from January 2015 to December 2022 in a tertiary pediatric hospital. The main outcome was in-hospital mortality. Results A total of 508 patients were enrolled. The proportion of Gram-negative bacteria and fungal infections in children with malignancies was significantly higher than those without malignancies. Septic shock children with malignancies had a longer length of stay (LOS) in the hospital (21 vs. 11 days, p<0.001). However, there were no statistically significant differences in the LOS of PICU (5 vs. 5 days, p = 0.591), in-hospital mortality (43.0 % vs. 49.4 %, p = 0.276), and 28-day mortality (49.2 % vs. 44.7 %, p = 0.452). The 28-day survival analysis (p = 0.314) also showed no significant differences. SUMMARY: This study aimed to explore the potential of Nasturtium officinale L. leaves extract (NOLE) in safeguarding hepatocytes against N-diethylnitrosamine (DEN)-induced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) by investigating its effects on biochemical, molecular, and antioxidant pathways. The study also delved into NOLE's role in modulating the HOTAIR/miR-124/Notch1 axis pathway. In this study, 50 Wistar rats were divided into five groups (n=10/group): normal, HCC-induced (100 mg/kg DEN), HCC rats treated with 100 and 200 mg/kg DEN + NOLE, and normal rats treated with 200 mg/kg NOLE. At the study's conclusion, serum levels of liver function markers (such as albumin, total protein, bilirubin, C-reactive protein, ALT, AST, and ALP), inflammatory cytokines (IL-6, IL- 1b, IL-10, and TNF-a), and oxidative parameters [including glutathione peroxidase (GPx), superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT) enzyme activity, and nitric oxide (NO) levels] were assessed. The levels of HOTAIR, miR-124, Notch1, and Jagged1 genes and proteins in liver tissue were measured. Immunohistochemical analysis was used to evaluate P53-positive cells in liver hepatocytes. DEN administration led to significant alterations in body and liver weight, serum liver enzymes, antioxidant levels, inflammatory markers, and expression of genes/proteins related to the HOTAIR/miR-124/Notch1 axis in liver pathways. NOLE exhibited dose-dependent effects in mitigating these changes, notably enhancing weight, liver health, antioxidant capacity, and inflammatory responses, especially at the 200 mg/kg dosage. Histopathological assessments revealed structural improvements in liver tissue with NOLE treatment. In conclusion, our study highlights the potential of NOLE in exerting anti-cancer effects against DEN-induced HCC.

RESUMEN: Este estudio tuvo como objetivo explorar el potencial del extracto de hojas de Nasturtium officinale L. (NOLE) para proteger los hepatocitos contra el carcinoma hepatocelular (HCC) inducido por N-dietilnitrosamina (DEN) mediante la investigación de sus efectos sobre las vías bioquímicas, moleculares y antioxidantes. El estudio también profundizó en el papel de NOLE en la modulación de la vía del eje HOTAIR/miR-124/Notch1. En este estudio, 50 ratas Wistar se dividieron en cinco grupos (n=10/ grupo): ratas normales, inducidas por HCC (100 mg/kg de DEN), ratas con HCC tratadas con 100 y 200 mg/kg de DEN + NOLE y ratas normales tratadas con 200 mg/kg de NOLE.
