RESUMO A identidade de Psalidodon eigenmanniorum (Cope, 1894) e a possibilidade de se constituir em mais de uma espécie é testada através de análises da morfometria (19 medidas), dos caracteres merísticos (14 contagens) e do padrão de colorido de 705 exemplares provenientes dos sistemas dos rios Tramandaí/Mampituba, da laguna dos Patos e drenagem do baixo rio Uruguai. Foram diafanizados e corados 40 exemplares. Os dados morfométricos foram utilizados na Análise de Componentes Principais, Análise Discriminante, Morfometria Geométrica e Função Discriminante. As análises foram feitas considerando os sexos em separado dentro de cada sistema hidrográfico, bem como comparando as populações entre os sistemas hidrográficos e finalmente no conjunto de sistemas representando a área de ocorrência da espécie. A partir dos dados analisados não foram encontradas diferenças entre os sexos. Os resultados mostraram variação morfológica que não sustenta o reconhecimento de possíveis espécies crípticas. A variação encontrada nos dados merísticos, morfométricos e no padrão de colorido justifica a redescrição da espécie. Os resultados das comparações entre as populações indicaram variações nesses caracteres indicando que a espécie possui considerável plasticidade fenotípica.

ABSTRACT The identity of Psalidodon eigenmanniorum (Cope, 1894) and the possibility of constituting more than one species is tested through analyzes of morphometry (19 measurements), meristic characters (14 counts) and the color pattern of 705 specimens from the Tramandaí/Mampituba, from the Patos lagoon and from the lower Uruguay River drainage. Forty specimens were cleared and stained. Morphometric data were used in Principal Component Analysis, Discriminant Analysis, Geometric Morphometry and Discriminant Function. The analysis was carried out considering the sexes separately within each hydrographic system, as well as comparing the populations between the hydrographic systems and finally in the set of systems representing the area of occurrence of the species. No differences were found between the sexes in the analyzed data. The results showed morphological variation that does not support the recognition of possible cryptic species. The variation found in meristic, morphometric and color pattern data justifies the redescription of the species. The species is described to the aforementioned drainages, and the results demonstrate its phenotypic plasticity.

RESUMO Uma nova espécie de Phenacogaster é descrita do rio Salitre, afluente da drenagem do submédio rio São Francisco. A nova espécie é facilmente distinguida de todas as congêneres por apresentar uma conspícua e larga mancha no pedúnculo caudal que alcança as margens superior e inferior do pedúnculo com uma curta extensão sobre os raios medianos e outra mais fraca sobre o lobo inferior da nadadeira caudal.

ABSTRACT A new species of Phenacogaster is described from the rio Salitre, a tributary of the lower middle rio São Francisco drainage. The new species can be clearly distinguished from all its congeners in having a conspicuous, broad caudal peduncle spot reaching the upper and lower margins of the peduncle with a short extension onto the middle caudal fin rays and another weaker extension over the lower lobe of the caudal fin.

ABSTRACT A new species of Astyanax belonging to the Astyanax scabripinnis complex is described from dos Touros River, tributary of the Pelotas River, Uruguay River basin. Astyanax taurorum sp. nov. is distinguished from other species of the Astyanax scabripinnis species complex by having two humeral spots, the first vertically elongated; teeth of inner row of premaxilla with three to five cusps; 2-3 (modes 2 or 3) maxillary teeth; 20-23 (mode 22) branched anal-fin rays; 13-15 (mode 14) gill rakers on lower branch of the first branchial arch; 20-23 (mode 21) total gill rakers in first branchial arch; 33-36 (mode 35) perforated lateral line scales. Astyanax taurorum sp. nov. is similar to Astyanax paris; nevertheless, it can be readily distinguished from it by having a smaller head depth (73.6-83.1% vs. 86.4-95.6%) and smaller interorbital width (24.1-28.0% vs. 30.8-32.8%). In addition, it differs from A. paris by the presence a posttemporal hook-shaped posterodorsal margin.

As espécies de Charax foram revistas por Lucena (1987), que pouco depois (1989) acrescentou três espécies novas ao gênero. O exame de exemplares recentemente coletados e depositados em coleções de vários museus possibilitaram a extensão da distribuição geográfica da maioria das espécies e revelou a existência de uma espécie nova, na qual foram descobertos neuromastos superficiais, caracterizados neste trabalho. Estas estruturas da pele também foram detectadas em Charax metae Eigenmann, 1922. Ganchos das nadadeiras anal e pélvica, anteriormente observados apenas na nadadeira anal de uma das espécies do gênero, são agora descritos em algumas outras espécies. Charax unimaculatus Lucena é considerada sinônimo júnior de C. michaeli Lucena Todas as espécies são redescritas, juntamente com a descrição da espécie nova.

The species of Charaxwere reviewed by Lucena (1987) who a little later (1989) added three new species to the genus. Examination of recently collected specimens from museum collections documented the more extensive geographic distribution for most species and revealed the existence of a new species in which superficial neuromasts were discovered and are herein described. These skin structures were also detected in C. metae Eigenmann, 1922. Anal- and pelvic-fin hooks previously observed only on the anal-fin of one species of the genus are described herein in some other species. Charax unimaculatus Lucena is considered a junior synonym of C. michaeli Lucena. All the species are redescribed and the new species described.

Três espécies novas de Astyanax são descritas para o sul do Brasil: A. dissensus e A. xiru do sistema da laguna dos Patos e bacia do rio Uruguai, a primeira espécie ocorrendo também no sistema do rio Tramandaí e A. procerusdo sistema da laguna dos Patos. Astyanax procerus e A. xirupossuem dentes da série externa do pré-maxilar pentacuspidados e da série interna heptacuspidados, um dente tri ou pentacuspidado no maxilar, 18-23 raios ramificados na nadadeira anal e duas manchas umerais. Astyanax procerus possui maior altura do corpo (38,3-46,0% do CP), enquanto A. xiru é uma espécie relativamente baixa (32,5-37,5% do CP). Estes caracteres, no conjunto, auxiliam a diagnosticar estas duas espécies das demais do gênero. Astyanax dissensus distingue-se das demais espécies por apresentar um desenvolvido dente com sete cúspides no maxilar, 22-28 raios ramificados na nadadeira anal, 35-39 escamas perfuradas na linha lateral, duas manchas umerais, uma faixa lateral contínua sobre os raios medianos da nadadeira caudal, 6-7 séries de escamas entre a origem da nadadeira dorsal e a linha lateral, comprimento da cabeça 22,7-27,3% do CP. Todas as três espécies novas possuem a região pré-dorsal com escama. Uma chave de identificação das espécies de Astyanax da bacia do rio Uruguai, e dos sistemas da laguna dos Patos e do rio Tramandaí é fornecida.

Three new species of Astyanax are described from southern Brazil: A. dissensus and A. xiru from the laguna dos Patos system and rio Uruguay basin, the first species also occurring in the rio Tramandaí system, and A. procerus from the laguna dos Patos system. Astyanax procerus and A. xiru possess outer row premaxillary teeth pentacuspid and inner row heptacuspid, maxillary with one tri- to pentacuspid teeth, 18-23 branched anal-fin rays, and two humeral spots. Astyanax procerus has the largest body depth (38.3-46.0% of SL), while A. xiru has the lowest body depth (32.5-37.5% of SL) among the three species. The characters combination can distinguish these species from its congeners. Astyanax dissensus distinguish from Astyanax species by the presence of one developed heptacuspid teeth on maxillary, 22-28 branched anal-fin rays, 35-39 perforated scales along the lateral line, two humeral spots, conspicuous lateral band continuous on middle caudal rays, 6-7 scale row between dorsal-fin origin and lateral line, and head length 22.7-27.3% of SL. All three species has the predorsal region of the body scaled. An identification key to the species of Astyanax species from the rio Uruguay basin, and laguna dos Patos and rio Tramandaí systems is provided.

A freshwater fish Roeboides loftini n.sp. is described from the Río Coclé del Norte drainage of the Atlantic versant of Panamá. The new species differs from other species of the Roeboides guatemalensis-group by the number of perforated scales on the lateral line (83-100), body depth (31.8-36.1%), predorsal distance (49.1-51.9%) and the shape of the humeral spot. A proposta do artigo é contribuir para o entendimento da mudança que se põe ao ensino médio e sua relação com a educação superior, tendo por hipótese a crescente profissionalização e privatização do campo educacional, ao mesmo tempo a ampliação e consolidação das dualidades: esferas profissional e propedêutica, e, esferas pública e privada. Esta hipótese funda-se na racionalidade que presidiu tal processo de mudança nos meios institucionais para a concretização desta racionalidade na prática educacional cotidiana, bem como na alteração da natureza do trabalho do professor no contexto do trânsito do Regime de Acumulação Monopolista para o Regime de Acumulação Financeira.

This paper helps understanding the changes faced by high school and its relationship to higher education It assumes that the professionalization and privatization of the educational field are growing. At the same time, two dualities expand and consolidate: academic-pedagogical vs. professional, and public vs. private. This hypothesis is based on the rationality that has presided over this process of change in the institutional environment to concretize it in the everyday educational practice as well as on the changing nature of teachers' work in the context of a transition from a Monopolist Accumulation Regime to a Financial Accumulation Regime.

Cet article cherche à contribuer à la compréhension des changements qui semblent affecter le lycée et ses rapports à l'enseignement supérieur. Il part de l'hypothèse de ce que la professionnalisation et la privatisation augmentent dans le champ de l'éducation et que les dualités professionnel x propédeutique et public x privé s'étendent et se consolident. Cette hypothèse se base sur la rationalité ayant présidé au processus de changement et qui s'est concrétisée dans la pratique éducative quotidienne, ainsi que sur la modification de la nature du travail des professeurs dans le cadre d'une transition d'un régime d'accumulation monopoliste vers un régime d'accumulation financière.

Pimelodus multicratifer, espécie nova, é descrita da bacia do rio Ribeira de Iguape. A espécie nova difere das demais espécies de Pimelodus pelas seguintes características: 26 a 30 rastros branquiais sobre o primeiro arco branquial; a combinação de três a seis fileiras de máculas regular ou irregularmente distribuídas sobre os flancos e várias máculas menores irregularmente distribuídas sobre a superfície dorsal da cabeça e processo supraoccipital, e algumas vezes, nas nadadeiras dorsal e caudal; lábios estriados; barbilhões maxilares alcançando a extremidade posterior dos raios da nadadeira pélvica e a extremidade posterior dos raios médios da nadadeira caudal.

Pimelodus multicratifer, a new species, is described from the rio Ribeira de Iguape basin. The new species differs from the other Pimelodus species by the following features: 26 to 30 gill rakers on the first branchial arch; a combination of three to six rows of dark spots regularly or irregularly scattered on the flanks and several small dark spots irregularly scattered on the dorsal surface of head, supraoccipital process, and sometimes on the dorsal and caudal fins; striated lips; maxillary barbels reaching between posterior tip of the pelvic-fin rays and posterior tip of the middle caudal-fin rays.

Astyanax obscurus e A. laticeps são redescritas. Ambas espécies foram descritas do sistema da laguna dos Patos, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. A maior altura e robustez do corpo na vertical que passa pela metade do comprimento das nadadeiras peitorais, cabeça robusta, focinho curto e abrupto, altura do corpo menor que 41% do CP, reduzido número de raios ramificados na nadadeira anal, presença de uma ou duas manchas umerais e barra escura horizontal na linha média do corpo estendendo-se até a extremidade dos raios da nadadeira caudal permitem sua inclusão no complexo de espécies A. scabripinnis. A presença de duas manchas na região umeral (vs. uma única), fileira externa do pré-maxilar com dentes pentacuspidados (vs. tricuspidados) e ausência de ganchos nas nadadeiras de exemplares machos (vs. presença nas nadadeiras anal e ventral) distinguem A. obscurus de A. laticeps. Estas espécies diferem das demais incluídas no complexo por caracteres merísticos e morfométricos e padrão decolorido. É fornecida uma chave de identificação para as espécies do gênero ocorrentes no sistema da laguna dos Patos.

Astyanax obscurus and A. laticeps are redescribed. Both species were originally described from the laguna dos Patos system, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The deepest and most robust body area close to the middle of the pectoral fins length, robust head, snout short and abrupt, body depth smaller than 41% of SL, reduced number of branched anal-fin rays, presence of one or two humeral spots, and a dark midlateral body stripe extending to the tip of the middle caudal-fin rays include both in the A. scabripinnis species complex. The presence of two humeral spots (vs. one), external row of the premaxillary with pentacuspid teeth (vs. tricuspid), and absence of bony hooks in all fins in males (vs. presence in anal and ventral fins) distinguish A. obscurus from A. laticeps. These species distinguish from species of this complex by meristic and morphometric characters and color pattern. An identification key for the species of genus occurring in the laguna dos Patos system is presented.

O exame do holótipo e 61 dos 64 parátipos de Pimelodus heraldoi, dos síntipos de P. microstoma e de exemplares adicionais do alto rio Paraná, mostrou que a primeira espécie é um sinônimo júnior da segunda. Ambas foram descritas originalmente do rio Mogi-Guaçu, rio Paraná superior.

The examination of the holotype and 61 of the 64 paratypes of Pimelodus heraldoi, syntypes of P. microstoma and additional specimens from the upper rio Paraná showed that the former species is a junior synonym of the latter. Both species were originally described from the rio Mogi-Guaçu, upper rio Paraná.

Três espécies novas de Siluriformes da bacia do rio Tocantins são alocadas no gênero Pimelodus: P. stewarti, P. joannis e P. halisodous. Pimelodus halisodous difere das espécies simpátricas P. joannis e P. stewarti pelo número de fileiras de dentes do pré-maxilar (13-16 vs. 5-9). Pimelodus joannis difere de P. stewarti pela presença de duas manchas negras na base na nadadeira caudal. As três novas espécies diferem das demais espécies de Pimelodus pela coloração cinza uniforme ao longo dos flancos; curta distância entre a narina posterior e a margem anterior da orbita; e barbilhões maxilares curtos, ultrapassando levemente a base da nadadeira caudal.

Three new species of Siluriformes from the rio Tocantins drainage of Brazil are placed in the genus Pimelodus, P. stewarti, P. joannis, and P. halisodous. Pimelodus halisodous differs from the sympatric P. joannis and P. stewarti by the number of premaxillary tooth rows (13-16 vs. 5-9). Pimelodus joannis differs from P. stewarti by the presence of two dark blotches on the base of the caudal fin. The three new species differ from all other species of Pimelodus by the possession of a uniform gray coloration along flanks; the relatively short distance between the posterior nostril and the anterior orbital border; a short maxillary barbel, that only slightly surpasses the caudal-fin base.

São descritas duas novas espécies do gênero Crenicihla da bacia do alto rio Uruguai, Crenicichla hadrostigma e C. empheres. Ambas pertencem ao grupo-missioneira composto por C. missioneira, C. minuano, C. tendybaguassu, C. igara e C. jurubi, todas ocorrendo na bacia do alto e médio rio Uruguai. Crenicichla hadrostigma distingue-se dessas espécies pela conspícua mancha escura ocelada pós-temporal, ausência de mancha umeral e de faixa escura longitudinal e, pela presença de nove a 16 listras verticais escuras em exemplares machos que se estendem desde o dorso até linha horizontal que passa pela axila inferior da nadadeira peitoral. Crenicichla empheres distingue-se das demais espécies do grupo-missioneira, pela presença de seis a oito manchas retangulares escuras na linha média do corpo logo abaixo da linha lateral superior, ausência de faixa escura longitudinal, machos com pequenas manchas ou pontos escuros espalhados no dorso e laterais do corpo, e boca isognata. Uma chave para as espécies da bacia do rio Uruguai é fornecida.

Two new species of the genus Crenicichla from the upper rio Uruguay basin are described, Crenicichla hadrostigma and C. empheres. Both are included in the C. missioneira species group along with C. missioneira, C. minuano, C. tendybaguassu, C. igara, and C. jurubi, all occurring in the upper and middle rio Uruguay drainage. Crenicichla hadrostigma is distinguished by the conspicuous ocellated posttemporal blotch, absence of a humeral spot and lateral band, and the presence in males of nine to 16 narrow vertical bars extending from the dorsum to a horizontal line that passes through the lower edge of pectoral axilla. Crenicichla empheres is distinguished from the other species of the missioneira-group by the presence of six to eight horizontally elongate dark blotches along the middle portion of the body, slightly below the upper lateral line, absence of a lateral band, presence in males of numerous dark and irregularly arranged spots on nape, back, and sides of body, and isognathous mouth. A key to the species from rio Uruguay basin is presented.

In order to cope with the heterogeneity, autonomy and diversity of interests among the different agents in open multi-agent systems, several governance mechanisms have been defined. Governance mechanism enforce the behavior of agents by establishing a set of norms that describe actions that agents are prohibited, permitted or obligated to do. In this paper we present a governance mechanism that enforces not only dialogical actions but also non-dialogical ones. Although several governance mechanisms have been proposed, none of them satisfactorily deals with non-dialogical actions. Our proposed mechanism is based on testimonies provided by agents about the behavior of other agents. The governance mechanism provides decisions pointing out if norms have been violated or if false testimonies have been supplied. The decisions are based not only on testimonies and depositions provided by the agents but also on the agents’ reputations supplied by a reputation system that is part of the mechanism.

Law enforcement approaches have been proposed to promote dependability in open multi-agent systems. Interaction laws are defined and then enforced to promote predictability. As new software demands and requirements appear, the system and its interaction laws must evolve to support those changes. The purpose of domain engineering is to produce a set of reusable assets for a family of systems, which are then used to build concrete members of the family. Flexibility is the ease with which a system or component can be modified for use in applications other than those for which it was originally designed. In this paper, we discuss how the MLaw infrastructure was designed to support interaction law evolution providing support to produce a set of reusable laws for a family of systems. As an example, we have implemented two customizable applications in the area of electronic negotiation expressed as an open system environment.
