A realização deste estudo deu-se a partir da hipótese de que as instituições educacionais ou redes de ensino podem utilizar a internet para estabelecer uma nova forma de contato administrativo e pedagógico dentro das suas comunidades escolares. O referencial teórico parte de elementos como mudanças sociais, culturais e tecnológicas para, em seguida, situar em tal contexto o educador e sua apropriação da cultura tecnológica. Ao final, aborda a constituição de redes sociotécnicas no meio educacional, tendo a internet como elemento facilitador. Para isso, trata também de temas como as redes sociais e os portais educacionais. Em campo, buscou-se investigar o processo de constituição de uma rede sociotécnica em uma rede municipal de ensino. Por meio de observações, levantamentos, questionários e entrevistas, realizou-se um estudo de caso, no qual foi possível acompanhar a criação, implantação e utilização de um portal na internet, caracterizado como um novo espaço de comunicação, de interação e de troca de informações entre a comunidade escolar. A investigação concentrou-se na figura do educador e sua percepção acerca desse espaço. Acreditando que a relação entre o homem e a tecnologia envolve um processo de apropriação da cultura tecnológica, que influencia diretamente a sua atuação na sociedade em rede, pôde-se concluir que portais educacionais podem ser utilizados por instituições de ensino, de forma produtiva e colaborativa, entre todos os atores da comunidade educacional, desde que em tal processo se leve em consideração, dentre outros aspectos, a cultura tecnológica dessa comunidade.

The point of departure for this study is the hypothesis that educational institutions and school systems can use the Internet to establish a new form of administrative and pedagogical contact within their school communities. The theoretical framework involves elements such as social, cultural, and technological change, situating in this context the educator and his/her appropriation of the technological culture. It then deals with the constitution of sociotechnical networks in the educational environment, having the Internet as a facilitator. In so doing, the text also touches on the issues of social networks and educational web portals. The fieldwork investigated the process of constitution of a sociotechnical network in a municipal school system. Observations, assessments, questionnaires, and interviews built a case study, in which it was possible to follow the creation, implementation, and use of an Internet portal as a new space for the communication, interaction, and exchange of information among the school community. The investigation centered on the figure of the educator and of his/her perception of this space. Based on the assumption that our relationship to technology entails a process of appropriation of the technological culture, which directly influences our actions in this networked society, we conclude that educational web portals can be used by schools in a productive way, in collaboration among the various agents of the educational community, once this process takes into account, amongst other factors, the technological culture of that particular community.

Resumo: Neste artigo apresenta-se, inicialmente, um breve estudo acerca das evoluções sociais e da sua relação com a tecnologia. Em seguida, a partir do conceito de cultura, trata-se das variações culturais no âmbito tecnológico, buscando-se analisar a relação entre o homem e a tecnologia como um processo de socialização e de apropriação. Num segundo momento, são apresentados alguns resultados de um estudo de caso que acompanhou a criação, implantação e utilização do portal da Rede Municipal de Ensino de São Paulo. Dentre os objetivos deste estudo destaca-se o interesse por se compreender a percepção do educador acerca desse espaço. Confirmando a hipótese inicial, percebeu-se que a utilização do portal de forma colaborativa e produtiva implica um processo de apropriação cultural.

Abstract: This paper presents, initially, a briefing study concerning the social evolutions and its relation with technology. After that, from the culture concept, cultural variations in the technological scope are discussed, aiming the analysis of the relation between man and technology as a socialization and appropriation process. Some results of a case study that followed the creation, implantation and use of the portal of São Paulo Municipal Education are presented. Amongst the objectives of this study it is distinguished the interest for the understanding of the educator perception about this space. Confirming the initial hypothesis, it is assumed that the use of the portal in a collaborative and productive way implies in a cultural appropriation process.

O presente trabalho discute algumas tendências dos museus de ciências e tecnologia. Inicialmente, é apresentada uma pequena introdução histórica dos museus de ciência no mundo contemporâneo, a fim de situar a presença dos espaços museográficos interativos com uma nova função de comunicação. Finalmente, por meio da análise de pequenos diálogos durante uma visita a uma exposição de objetos técnicos, refletimos sobre a negociação de significado do diálogo possível entre um objeto de exposição e o visitante.

This article discusses new approaches for science and technology museums. Firstly, we do a brief historic introduction about science museums and how they provide interactive museographic space. The goal is to make a new communication approach. Finally, through the analysis of the dialogues during the visit to the technical objects exhibit we seek insight into the negotiation through dialogue between the exhibit and the public.
