Abstract This paper presents the main results of a research about a parallel recovery project for the elementary school conducted between 2018 and 2020, in partnership with the Secretaria Municipal de Educação [Department of Education] of the city of São Paulo (Brazil), using the Patio Digital platform. Primary and secondary data are analyzed to characterize its participants (school units, pedagogical coordinators, pedagogical support teachers and students), seeking to understand its application and development of the project, and to provide public managers with information on how to improve it. The results reveal a positive relationship between approval and learning recovery and between school reinforcement and increased student proficiency. The present research confirms on a large scale trends pointed out by other studies, such as the greater participation of male, Black and poorer students in recovery classes, and indicates the need for the Department of Education to provide greater support to schools and their professionals.

Résumé Cet article présente les principaux résultats d’une recherche menée en collaboration avec la Secretaria Municipal de Educação [Bureau de l’Éducation] de la ville de São Paulo (Brésil) entre 2018 et 2020 pour évaluer le programme de soutien scolaire pour l’éducation primaire, à l’appui de la plateforme numérique Pátio Digital. Des bases de données sécondaires et empiriques ont été analysées pour caractériser les participants du projet (écoles, coordinateurs pédagogiques, enseignants et étudiants), pour connaître le développement du programme et pour offrir des indications pour l’améliorer. Les résultats révèlent des rélations positives entre soutien scolaire et réussite aussi bien qu’avec rendement des étudiants. L’étude confirme quelques tendances signalées par des études précédentes, à savoir, la plus grande présence de garçons les plus pauvres et noirs dans les cours de soutien scolaire et indiquent la necessité d’un soutien plus effectif de la Secretaria de Educação.

Resumen El articulo presenta algunos resultados de investigación sobre un proyecto de recuperación paralela en la educación primaria, realizada entre 2018 y 2020, en alianza con la Secretaría Municipal de Educación de São Paulo (Brasil), a través de la plataforma Pátio Digital. Analisa datos primarios y secundarios, con el fin de caracterizar a los participantes (unidades escolares, coordinadores pedagógicos, docentes de apoyo pedagógico y estudiantes), comprender la aplicación y desarrollo del proyecto y ofrecer subsidios para su mejora. Los resultados revelan una relación positiva entre la aprobación y recuperación de los aprendizajes y entre el refuerzo escolar y el aumento de la competencia de los estudiantes. El presente estudio confirma a gran escala tendencias señaladas por otros estudios, como la mayor participación de estudiantes varones, negros y más pobres en las clases de recuperación, e indica la necesidad de que la Secretaría de Educación brinde un mayor apoyo a las escuelas y a sus profesionales.

Resumo O artigo apresenta os principais resultados de pesquisa sobre projeto de recuperação paralela no ensino fundamental, realizada em parceria com a Secretaria Municipal de Educação (SME) de São Paulo entre 2018 e 2020, por meio da plataforma Pátio Digital. Analisam-se dados primários e secundários com o objetivo de caracterizar as unidades escolares, os coordenadores pedagógicos, professores de apoio pedagógico e estudantes envolvidos, bem como entender o desenvolvimento do programa e fornecer subsídios para aprimorá-lo. Os resultados revelam uma relação positiva entre aprovação e recuperação de aprendizagens e entre reforço escolar e aumento da proficiência dos estudantes. O presente estudo confirma em larga escala tendências apontadas por outros estudos, tais como a maior participação de estudantes do sexo masculino, negros e mais pobres nas turmas de recuperação, e indica a necessidade de a SME prestar maior apoio às escolas e seus profissionais.

ABSTRACT. The objective was to evaluate levels of replacement of corn silage with extruded forage (Foragge®) in sheep feeding. Twenty adult Santa Inês ewes in maintenance, and 55.8 kg average weight were housed in metabolic cages, and the treatments consisted of 20, 40, 60 and 80% replacement of corn silage with Foragge® extruded forage with 60% Uruchloa brizantha in the diet. The design was completely randomized, with regression analysis and non-parametric analysis at 5% probability. The supply of up to 80% extruded roughage to replace corn silage increased dry matter intake and digestibility, and fecal output in dry matter (p < 0.05). Also, it increased the efficiency of ingestion, rumination and chewing activities of sheep, but did not alter urinary parameters and energy metabolites (p > 0.05). However, it reduced the concentration of uric acid (p < 0.05). Foragge® extruded roughage can replace corn silage by up to 80% with changes in intake, digestibility, fecal parameters, ingestive behavior and concentration of uric acid and urea, with no modifications in urinary parameters and energy metabolites.

Abstract Background Sedentary behavior has been associated with several cardiometabolic risk factors during childhood. However, little is known about the impact of sedentary behavior on the health and eating habits of physically active children and adolescents. Objective To evaluate the association between sedentary behavior and cardiometabolic risk factors and eating habits in physically active children and adolescents. Methods This cross-sectional study was conducted, including 516 physically active children and adolescents (10 to 18 years old; both sexes) enrolled in the social project “Estação Conhecimento-Vale” were evaluated. Biochemical and lifestyle variables (questionnaire) were collected. Sedentary behavior was determined indirectly (questionnaire), by using sitting time ≥ 3 hours per day as a cutoff point. A p-value < 0.05 was considered statistically significant for all tests. Results Sedentary behavior was not associated with overweight/obesity (odds ratio = 0.72 [95% confidence interval (CI): 0.325-1.389]), hypertriglyceridemia (odds ratio = 0.63 [95% CI: 0.306-1.297]), low HDL cholesterol (odds ratio = 0.57 [95% CI: 0.323-1.019]), or high non-HDL cholesterol (odds ratio = 0.63 [95% CI: 0.283-1.389]). However, children and adolescents with sedentary behavior were more likely to regularly consume food in front of the television (odds ratio = 1.96 [95% CI: 1.114-3.456]) and to consume at least one ultra-processed food per day (odds ratio = 2.42 [95% CI: 1.381-4.241]). In addition, they were less likely to consume fruit regularly (odds ratio = 0.52 [95% CI: 0.278-0.967]). Conclusion There was no association between sedentary behavior and cardiometabolic risk factors in physically active children and adolescents. However, sedentary behavior was associated with inadequate eating habits. Thus, we may suggest that the regular engagement in physical activity may attenuate the deleterious effects of sedentary behavior on the cardiometabolic parameters of children and adolescents.

Resumo Fundamento O comportamento sedentário tem sido associado a diversos fatores de risco cardiometabólicos durante a infância. No entanto, pouco se sabe sobre o impacto do comportamento sedentário na saúde e nos hábitos alimentares de crianças e adolescentes fisicamente ativos. Objetivo Avaliar a associação entre comportamento sedentário e fatores de risco cardiometabólicos e hábitos alimentares em crianças e adolescentes fisicamente ativos. Métodos Esse estudo transversal avaliou 516 crianças e adolescentes (10 a 18 anos; ambos os sexos) fisicamente ativos integrados no projeto social “Estação Conhecimento-Vale”. O comportamento sedentário foi determinado de maneira indireta (questionário), utilizando como ponto de corte o tempo sentado ≥ 3 h/dia. Foram estatisticamente significantes as análises com p-valor < 0,05. Resultados O comportamento sedentário não foi associado ao excesso de peso (odds ratio = 0,72 [intervalo de confiança (IC) de 95%: 0,325-1,389]), hipertrigliceridemia ( odds ratio = 0,63 [IC95%: 0,306-1,297]), HDL colesterol baixo ( odds ratio = 0,57 [IC95%: 0,323-1,019]) e HDL não colesterol alto ( odds ratio = 0,63 [IC95%: 0,283-1,389]). Contudo, crianças e adolescentes que adotavam comportamento sedentário apresentaram maior chance de consumir regularmente alimentos em frente à televisão ( odds ratio =1,96 [IC95%: 1,114-3,456]) e de consumir pelo menos um alimento ultraprocessado por dia ( odds ratio =2,42 [IC95%: 1,381-4,241]). Além disso, apresentaram menor chance de consumir frutas regularmente (OR=0,52 [IC95%: 0,278-0,967]). Conclusão Não houve associação entre comportamento sedentário e fatores de risco cardiometabólicos em crianças e adolescentes fisicamente ativos. Contudo, o comportamento sedentário foi associado a hábitos alimentares inadequados. Dessa forma, podemos sugerir que a prática regular de atividade física pode atenuar os efeitos deletérios do comportamento sedentário nos parâmetros cardiometabólicos de crianças e adolescentes.

Abstract The Brazilian Practice Guidelines for Stroke Rehabilitation – Part II, developed by the Scientific Department of Neurological Rehabilitation of the Brazilian Academy of Neurology (Academia Brasileira de Neurologia, in Portuguese), focuses on specific rehabilitation techniques to aid recovery from impairment and disability after stroke. As in Part I, Part II is also based on recently available evidence from randomized controlled trials, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and other guidelines. Part II covers disorders of communication, dysphagia, postural control and balance, ataxias, spasticity, upper limb rehabilitation, gait, cognition, unilateral spatial neglect, sensory impairments, home rehabilitation, medication adherence, palliative care, cerebrovascular events related to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection, the future of stroke rehabilitation, and stroke websites to support patients and caregivers. Our goal is to provide health professionals with more recent knowledge and recommendations for better rehabilitation care after stroke.

Resumo As Diretrizes Brasileiras de Reabilitação do Acidente Vascular Cerebral (AVC) - Parte II, desenvolvida pelo Departamento Científico de Reabilitação Neurológica da Academia Brasileira de Neurologia é voltada para intervenções específicas de técnicas de reabilitação de déficits neurológicos e incapacidades. Seguindo o mesmo modelo da Parte I, a Parte II também se baseia em estudos randomizados, revisões sistemáticas, metanálises e outras diretrizes sobre o mesmo tema. A segunda parte aborda os distúrbios da comunicação, disfagia, controle postural e equilíbrio, ataxias, espasticidade, reabilitação do membro superior, marcha, cognição, negligência espacial unilateral, déficits sensoriais, reabilitação domiciliar, aderênciaao usode medicamentos, cuidados paliativos,ofuturodareabilitação no AVC, e websites de orientação sobre AVC para pacientes e cuidadores. Nosso objetivo é fornecer aos profissionais envolvidos na reabilitação conhecimento atualizado e recomendações para um melhor cuidado no pós-AVC.

Resumen La investigación realizó un follow up de tres y seis meses después de un entrenamiento de habilidades sociales (EHS), con el objetivo de verificar el mantenimiento de habilidades sociales de estudiantes de la Ensenanza Fundamental en situación de vulnerabilidad social en Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. Se hizo selección de una muestra de los grupos intervención y control compuesta por 20 alumnos, de edades entre 10 a 13 (M=10.3; DE=0.8), ninos y ninas. Reaplicó los instrumentos SSRS (Social Skill Rating System), TDE (Prueba de Desempeno Escolar) utilizados en la intervención para profesores y alumnos. Los resultados mostraron que las ganancias del grupo de intervención en habilidades sociales, disminución de sintomas psicopatológicos y mejora en el rendimiento acadêmico se mantuvieron después de la intervención. Estos hallazgos destacan la relevancia de desarrollar la formación en habilidades sociales para los estudiantes de la escuela primaria.

Abstract This study carried out a follow-up three and six months after the application of a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) program, aiming to verify the maintenance of social skills in Elementary Education students in situations of social vulnerability from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. A sample of the intervention and control groups composed of 20 students aged 10 to 13 (M = 10.3, SD = 0.8), boys and girls were selected. The SSRS (Social Skill Rating System) and the TDE (School Achievement Test) used in the intervention for teachers and students were reapplied. The results showed that the decrease in psycho-pathological symptoms and the improvements in academic performance were maintained after the intervention. These findings highlight the relevance of developing social emotional learning programs with elementary school students.

RESUMO O Município do Rio de Janeiro (MRJ) estava entre as cidades com altas taxas de mortalidade ao longo da pandemia de Covid-19. Neste estudo, analisamos as taxas de incidência, de mortalidade e letalidade por Covid-19 nas áreas com predominância de Aglomerados Subnormais (ASN). Foram considerados todos os 36 bairros da Sub-Bacia do Canal do Cunha (SBCC) associadas às características demográficas, socioeconômicas e epidemiológicas, com estatística espacial de Moran. A taxa de incidência nos bairros da SBCC foi de 621,5/10.000 habitantes. Complexo do Alemão, Mangueira, e Maré tiveram maiores proporções de casos e mortes. A menor incidência (33,6/10.000 habitantes) e mortalidade (8,3/10.000 habitantes), mas com maior taxa de letalidade (24,7%) foi registrada no Complexo do Alemão. Foi observado correlação negativa entre a taxa de mortalidade e a proporção de habitantes nos bairros com ASN (rho= -0,433; p=0,023). Na estatística espacial, houve correlação inversa para a incidência da Covid-19 (índice Moran, -0,155863; p=0,02). Conclui-se que incidência e mortalidade nas áreas de ASN estão significativamente relacionadas com as estruturas sociodemográficas, demandando o reforço dos sistemas de vigilância e de controle da Covid-19 em territórios de favelas. As recomendações não farmacológicas e a Atenção Primária à Saúde em favelas desempenham relevante papel na redução da transmissão, mortalidade e iniquidades em saúde.

ABSTRACT Along COVID-19 pandemics, Rio de Janeiro (MRJ) has figured among the Brazilian cities with the highest mortality rates. In this study, we explored COVID-19 incidence and mortality in areas with a predominance of subnormal population clusters (SNC) in MRJ. We analyzed 36 neighborhoods of Canal do Cunha Sub-basin (CCSB) and the associations between demographic, socioeconomic, and epidemiological features, and the cumulative incidence, mortality, and lethality rates, and Moran’s spatial statistics were performed. The incidence rate in CCSB neighborhoods was 621.5/10,000 inhabitants. Complexo do Alemão, Mangueira, and Maré had the highest proportions of cases and deaths. And the lowest incidence (33.6/10,000 inhabitants), mortality (8.3/10,000 inhabitants), but with the highest lethality rate (24.7%) was recorded in Complexo do Alemão. There was a negative correlation between mortality and the proportion of inhabitants in neighborhoods with ASN (rho= -0.433; p=0.023). In spatial statistics, there was an inverse correlation for the incidence (Moran index, -0.155863; p=0.02). It is concluded that incidence and mortality in SNC areas are significantly related to their sociodemographic structures, highlighting the need to strengthen the surveillance and control systems of COVID-19 in slums territories. Non-pharmacological recommendations and suitable Primary Health Care in slums areas play a relevant role in reducing viral transmission, mortality, and health inequities.

Abstract Changes in land use and land cover (LULC) can result in significant changes in a hydrographic basin flow regime. Future projections about LULC and its interference with water availability help to identify extreme events in advance and help propose appropriate management measures. Thus, this study aimed to make the LULC projection for the year 2030 for the Alto Rio Grande (ARG) sub-basin, located in Southeastern Brazil. This region was chosen because of its intense water resources use and for having recently faced water scarcity as result of prolonged droughts and inadequate water resources management. To identify the LULC trend for the year 2030, the Land Change Modeler (LCM) was used, the map obtained was inserted in the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) model previously calibrated and validated for the region’ environmental and climatic conditions. The ARG sub-basin was affected by heavy rains in 2011, which resulted in changes in the landscape due to landslides. This particularity of the region contributed to the projection of LULC for the year 2030 to present an increase in forest and pastures to the agricultural areas detriment. When evaluating the impacts of these changes in water availability, it was observed that the SWAT model presented, for the same rainfall conditions, a reduction in peak streamflows of up to 59% and a reduction in the average monthly flow of up to 63% in 2030 in relation to the LULC observed in 2017. Thus, this study provides an important contribution by identifying a considerable reduction in water availability. These results will help to formulate strategies for water resources management and the adoption of measures to promote water security in the region.

Resumen Los cambios en el uso y la cobertura del suelo pueden resultar en cambios significativos en el régimen del flujo de una cuenca hidrográfica. Los estudios predictivos sobre el uso del suelo y su interferencia con la disponibilidad del agua ayudan a identificar eventos extremos con anticipación a fin de proponer medidas de gestión adecuadas. De esta forma, este estudio tuvo como objetivo realizar la predicción del uso del suelo para el año 2030 para la subcuenca del Alto Río Grande (ARG), ubicada en el sureste de Brasil. Esta región fue elegida por el uso intenso de los recursos hídricos y por haber enfrentado, recientemente, escasez de agua como resultado de sequías prolongadas y una gestión inadecuada de los recursos hídricos. Para la predicción del uso del suelo en 2030 se utilizó el Land Change Modeler (LCM), el mapa obtenido se insertó en el modelo Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) previamente calibrado y validado para las condiciones ambientales y climáticas de la región. La subcuenca ARG fue afectada por fuertes lluvias en 2011 que resultaron en cambios en el paisaje debido a deslizamientos de tierra. Esta particularidad de la región contribuyó para que la predicción del uso del suelo para el año 2030 presente un aumento de bosques y pastos en detrimento de las áreas agrícolas. Al evaluar los impactos de estos cambios en la disponibilidad del agua, se observó que el modelo SWAT presentó, para las mismas condiciones de precipitación, una reducción en los caudales pico de hasta 59% y una reducción en el caudal promedio mensual de hasta 63% en 2030 en relación con el uso del suelo observado en 2017. Es decir, este estudio hace un aporte importante al identificar una reducción considerable en la disponibilidad del agua. Estos resultados ayudarán a formular estrategias para la gestión de los recursos hídricos y la adopción de medidas para promover la seguridad hídrica en la región.

Abstract INTRODUCTION: Excessive sodium consumption is associated with increased blood pressure, which is an important risk factor for non-communicable diseases (NCDs). This study therefore aimed to describe the burden of NCDs attributable to excessive sodium consumption among Brazilians. METHODS: This observational study used mortality and Disability Adjusted Life Years (DALY) rates, and their respective uncertainty intervals (UI), from the Global Burden of Disease Study 2019 (GBD 2019). The burden was obtained by the population attributable fraction of each NCD, considering the minimum theoretical value of risk (intake of 0-3g of sodium/day); the excessive consumption proportion in the population, obtained through population inquiries; and the relative risks obtained through meta-analyses. RESULTS: Excessive sodium consumption was the third highest dietary risk contributing to deaths (30,814; 95% UI = 2,034 - 84,130) and DALYs (699,119; 95% UI= 43,130 - 1,914,066) in 2019. States from the Northeast region had the highest age-standardized rates of deaths and DALYs, and the male population was more affected by NCDs caused by excessive sodium consumption. Cardiovascular diseases were the main contributing factors in the burden attributable to excessive sodium consumption. CONCLUSIONS: Regardless of the progress in addressing NCDs related to this risk factor, the impact remains high, especially among men and in the Northeast region. More effective measures are needed to reduce sodium in industrialized products, such as health promotion actions to combat sodium consumption, in order to prevent and control NCDs in Brazil.

ABSTRACT Canga ecosystems develop over superficial iron crusts with shallow and nutrient-poor soils. Under these conditions, arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) play an important role in helping plants to overcome abiotic and biotic stresses. Canga can suffer periodic burning and yet it is unknown what the impacts of fire are to AMF communities. We aimed to compare AMF in Canga areas affected by burning (BC) with those with no previous history of burning (NC). We compared AMF species composition, spore numbers, species richness, and mycorrhizal inoculum potential. The total number of spores, AMF species richness and mycorrhizal colonization measured in the infectivity bioassay were not significantly different between areas. A total of 23 species in 10 genera were recovered, with most species belonging to Gigasporaceae and Acaulosporaceae. BC and NC shared 52 % of AMF species. Gigaspora albida, Gigaspora gigantea, and Dentiscutata heterogama sporulated exclusively in trap cultures. We concluded that AMF spore communities were not affected by burning in Canga soils as measured by spore abundance, species richness and infectivity. Our data contribute to the inventory of soil biodiversity associated with Canga, a high biodiverse and threatened Brazilian ecosystem.

Abstract Mineral profiles of eleven fruits from the northeastern Brazilian agrobiodiversity have been determined. Samples of cajui, murici, pequi, jenipapo, mangaba, bacuri, caja, umbu-caja, umbu, pitanga and araça fruits were digested and element content determined by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES). The accuracy of method was performed using SRM 2338 and all elements were statistically similar with 95% of confidence. Potassium is present in higher amounts in the edible part of the fruits, ranging from 107 to 402 mg 100 g-1, followed by P in the range 16 - 150 mg 100 g-1. Iron, presents the lowest content, ranges from 0.07 to 1.1 mg 100 g-1. Caja and umbu-caja fruits are noteworthy sources of P. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Principal Component Analysis were performed in order to check similarities between the fruit groups according to the trace element content. The data provide a source of information characterizing the Brazilian biodiversity and it may help the nutritional intake of these fruits in the region.

RESUMO Este estudo avaliou os mananciais hídricos nos pontos de captação de água para abastecimento, identificando poluentes convencionais e emergentes que possam comprometer o abastecimento público do município de Cuiabá-MT. Foi analisada água bruta em três pontos de captação de água para abastecimento, por meio de dados secundários (2014 a 2019) e primários (junho e novembro de 2019). Os parâmetros descritos em normas vigentes foram usados para calcular o Índice de Conformidade ao Enquadramento, que avalia a distância entre a qualidade planejada e qualidade medida. Os fármacos foram discutidos com base em estudos ecotoxicológicos. Observou-se redução na qualidade dos mananciais na área urbanizada, sendo o lançamento de esgoto doméstico in natura e o escoamento superficial as causas mais importantes dessa redução. São necessárias medidas para ampliação e garantia da coleta e tratamento adequados e eficientes de efluentes, evitando que poluentes cheguem aos rios.

ABSTRACT This study evaluated the water sources at the points of water collection for human supply, identifying conventional and emerging pollutants that could compromise the public supply of the municipality of Cuiabá-MT. Raw water was analyzed at three water pumping sites, using secondary (2014 to 2019) and primary (June and November 2019) data. The parameters described in current regulations were used to calculate the Index of Conformity with the Guidelines, which assesses the distance between planned quality and measured quality. Drugs were discussed based on ecotoxicological studies. There was a reduction in the quality of water sources in the urbanized area, with the disposal of in natura domestic sewage and surface runoff as the most important causes of this reduction. Measures are needed to expand and ensure adequate and efficient collection and treatment of effluents, preventing pollutants from reaching rivers.

BACKGROUND The emergence of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) variants has become a major concern contributing to increased morbidity and mortality worldwide. OBJECTIVES Here we describe the replacement of the Gamma variant of concern (VOC) with Delta in the western Brazilian Amazon. METHODS In this study, we analysed 540 SARS-CoV-2 positive samples determined by qualitative real-time RT-PCR selected in the state of Rondônia between June and December 2021. The positive cohort was sequenced through next-generation sequencing (NGS) and each sample was quantified using real-time RT-qPCR, the whole genome sequence was obtained, SARS-CoV-2 lineages were classified using the system Pango and the maximum likelihood (ML) method was used to conduct phylogenetic analyses. FINDINGS A total of 540 high-quality genomes were obtained, where the Delta VOC showed the highest prevalence making up 72%, with strain AY.43 being the most abundant, while the Gamma VOC was present in 28%, where the P.1 strain was the most frequent. In this study population, only 32.96% (178/540) had completed the vaccination schedule. MAIN CONCLUSIONS This study highlighted the presence of Gamma and Delta variants of SARS-CoV-2 in RO. Furthermore, we observed the replacement of the Gamma VOC with the Delta VOC and its lineages.

Objective: To describe the chickenpox outbreak among Venezuelan immigrants in shelters and occupations in the municipalities of Pacaraima and Boa Vista, Roraima, Brazil, and the control measures implemented. Methods: Descriptive case series study, that happened between november 21 and december 13, 2019, using secondary database from the investigation of the outbreak, made available by the General Coordination of the National Immunization Program. Descriptive analysis was performed, using simple and relative frequency measures, and calculating measures of central tendency and dispersion. Results: Of the 9,591 immigrants, 38 active cases and 1,500 susceptible to chickenpox were detected. Among the active cases, 23 were female and the most affected age group those under 9 years old (17 cases). Conclusion: The identification of susceptible people in the investigation led to the adoption of immunization actions that controlled the transmission, preventing serious cases, deaths, and the overload of the local health care network.

Objetivo: Descrever o surto de varicela entre imigrantes venezuelanos em abrigos e ocupações nos municípios de Pacaraima e Boa Vista, Roraima, Brasil, e as medidas de controle implementadas. Métodos: Estudo descritivo de tipo ‘série de casos’, realizado entre 21 de novembro e 13 de dezembro de 2019, sobre banco de dados secundários da investigação do surto disponibilizado pela Coordenação-Geral do Programa Nacional de Imunizações. Na análise descritiva, utilizou-se medidas de frequência simples e relativa e foram calculadas medidas de tendência central e dispersão. Resultados: Dos 9.591 imigrantes, detectaram-se 38 casos ativos e 1.500 suscetíveis à varicela. Dos casos ativos, 23 eram do sexo feminino e a faixa etária mais acometida foi a de menores de 9 anos (17 casos). Conclusão: Identificou-se pessoas suscetíveis à varicela na investigação; foram adotadas ações de imunização que controlaram a transmissão, evitando casos graves, óbitos e sobrecarga da rede de assistência à saúde local.

RESUMO O artigo discute a judicialização da inclusão, compreendendo-a como ações desenvolvidas pelo Poder Judiciário voltadas à inclusão de grupos em situação de risco ou vulnerabilidade social. Para as análises, utiliza-se a noção de governamentalidade biopolítica, na perspectiva de Michel Foucault. Argumenta-se que, por meio do Poder Judiciário, o Estado regula os rumos da inclusão a partir de dois vieses que se articulam: o da fiscalização e da intervenção recomendatória e o da orientação, que toma a argumentação e o convencimento como formas de produzir modos de ser inclusivos.

ABSTRACT This paper discusses the judicialization of inclusion, by understanding it as actions taken by the Judicial Power intended for the inclusion of groups in situation of social risk and vulnerability. To perform the analyses, Michel Foucault’s notion of bio-political governmentality was utilized. It was argued that, through the Judicial Power, the State regulates the course of inclusion through two articulated paths: one consisting of oversight and recommended intervention, and the other implying guidance, by regarding argumentation and persuasion as ways of producing inclusive ways of being.
