RESUMO: Lagartas de Helicoverpa armigera apresentam alta capacidade de migração e hábito alimentar polífago. Devido às características dessa praga, hospedeiros alternativos localizados nas proximidades ou interior da lavoura podem dar suporte para sua sobrevivência. O objetivo deste trabalho foi investigar a possibilidade de plantas de buva serem alimento para lagartas de H. armigera em cenários com soja convencional e Bt. Foram conduzidos dois experimentos em câmaras do tipo biochemical oxygen demand. O primeiro avaliou o consumo foliar de soja convencional, soja Bt e buva, sem chance de escolha, de lagartas de 3o e 5o ínstares. No segundo, avaliou-se a preferência de alimentação de lagartas H. armigera de 3o ínstar, com dupla chance de escolha. Quando avaliado o consumo foliar de lagartas de 5o ínstar, observou-se preferência por buva em relação à soja Bt, porém ambas inferiores à soja convencional. A sobrevivência de lagartas de 3o ínstar não diferiu estatisticamente, independentemente da espécie fornecida como alimento. Lagartas de 5o ínstar alimentadas com soja Bt apresentaram menor sobrevivência em comparação com buva e soja convencional. Em arenas com dupla chance de escolha, o consumo foliar de soja foi superior ao da buva. O consumo de soja convencional foi superior também quando ofertada em conjunto com a soja Bt. A oferta de buva e soja Bt apresentou consumo foliar apenas na espécie daninha. Plantas de buva podem servir de alimento para lagartas de H. armigera. As lagartas têm preferência por consumir folhas de buva, em comparação à soja Bt.

ABSTRACT: Helicoverpa armigera caterpillars are polyphagous and exhibit high migratory potential. Given the traits of this pest, alternative hosts located in or near the crop stand may support the survival and permanence of H. armigera in the field. The aim of this study was to investigate Conyza sp. as a food source for H. armigera caterpillars in scenarios with conventional and Bt soybean. Two experiments were conducted in biochemical oxygen demand incubators. The first assessed consumption of conventional soybean, Bt soybean and Conyza sp. leaves by 3rd and 5th instar caterpillars, with no choice given (no-choice test). The second test evaluated the food preference of 3rd instar H. armigera larvae, with two choices given (dual-choice test). Fifth instar larvae favored Conyza sp. leaves to Bt soybean, but preferred conventional soybean to both of these options. The survival of 3rd instar caterpillars did not differ statistically regardless of the plant species used as a food source. Fifth instar larvae fed Bt soybean exhibited lower survival rates when compared to Conyza sp. and conventional soybean. In dual-choice test arenas, soybean leaf consumption was superior to Conyza sp. Conventional soybean consumption was also greater when offered in conjunction with Bt soybean. Caterpillars offered Conyza sp. and Bt soybean leaves only consumed the weed species. Conyza sp. plants can serve as a food source for H. armigera larvae, which showed a preference for Conyza sp. leaves to Bt soybean.

RESUMO Objetivou-se comparar a digestibilidade in vitro da matéria seca (DIVMS) e da fibra em detergente neutro (DIVFDN) de forragens e concentrados obtidos por intermédio das incubadoras DaisyII e TE-150, combinadas com filter bags tipo F57 (Ankon®) ou tecido não-tecido (TNT, 100g/m²), em relação aos valores obtidos utilizando-se o método de Tilley e Terry (1963). Foram utilizadas 25 amostras de alimentos concentrados e 25 de forragens. Não houve diferenças entre filter bags (P>0,39) para a DIVMS de forragens. Maiores valores de DIVMS (P<0,01) foram verificados para a incubadora TE-150 em relação à DaisyII. As estimativas de DIVMS obtidas com incubadoras e filter bags foram superiores (P<0,01) àquelas obtidas com o método Tilley e Terry (1963). Observaram-se maiores valores de DIVFDN de forragens (P<0,01) com filter bags F57 em relação ao TNT e com a incubadora TE-150 em relação à DaisyII. Todos os valores de DIVFDN obtidos com incubadoras e filter bags foram superiores (P<0,01) aos obtidos com o método Tilley e Terry (1963). Todos os métodos apresentaram-se positiva e fortemente correlacionados (P<0,01), tanto para DIVMS como para DIVFDN. As repetibilidades e variâncias entre amostras para DIVMS e DIVFDN foram similares entre os métodos. Portanto, conclui-se que, em se tratando de avaliações comparativas entre alimentos, todos os métodos avaliados possuem capacidade similar de discriminação.

ABSTRACT The objective was to compare in vitro digestibility of dry matter (IVDMD) and neutral detergent fiber (IVNDFD) of forages and concentrates obtained using the incubators DaisyII and TE-150, and filter bags F57 (Ankon®) or non-woven textile (NWT - 100g/m²) in comparison with the values obtained using the Tilley and Terry (1963) method. Twenty-five samples of concentrates and 25 samples of forages were used. There were no differences between filter bags (P>0.39) for IVDMD of forages. Higher IVDMD (P<0.01) were observed for TE-150 compared to DaisyII. Estimates of IVDMD obtained with incubators and filter bags were higher (P<0.01) than those obtained with the Tilley and Terry (1963) method. Higher IVNDFD (P<0.01) were obtained with filter bags F57 regarding to NWT and TE-150 when compared to DaisyII. All values of the IVNDFD obtained with incubators and filter bags were higher (P<0.01) than those obtained with the Tilley and Terry (1963) method. Both IVDMD and IVNDFD variables were greater using TE-150 incubator than using DaisyII (P<0.04). Estimates obtained using NWT filter bags were higher (P<0.01) than F57 filter bags. All methods were positively and strongly correlated (P<0.01) to each other for IVDMD and IVNDFD. The repeatability and variances among samples for IVDMD and IVNDFD were similar among methods. In conclusion, all methods were similarly able to discriminate samples.

The aim of this study was to analyze the differences in gender schemas of self between collective and individual sports. The participants were 140 amateur athletes aged between 13 and 17 years practicing a team sport (indoor soccer) and an individual sport (athletics) in the Chapecó and Florianópolis municipalities of Santa Catarina-SC. The instruments used were the Questionnaire for Socio-Demographic and Training, the Inventory Female Gender Schemas of Self-Concept (IFEGA) and the Inventory of Male Gender Schemas of Self-Concept (IMEGA). No differences in gender schema were found among women athletes who were mostly classified as masculine/ feminine (iso schematic). Among men, the soccer players showed a hetero masculine gender schema, while those in athletics showed an iso schematic scheme. Regarding the variation within the gender schema dimensions, the soccer athletes had higher values in terms of inferiority in relation to those in athletics. Among men, the athletics athletes showed higher values of boldness and lower values of insecurity as compared to soccer athletes. We conclude that gender schemas of self-concept only had variations in the two modalities for male athletes; however, the variations in their constitutive dimensions of schema occurred according to the nature of the sport practiced.

O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar as diferenças nos esquemas de gênero o autoconceito entre esportes coletivos e individuais. Os participantes foram 140 atletas amadores com idades entre 13 e 17 anos que praticantes de esportes coletivos (futebol de salão) e individuaais (atletismo) nos municípios de Chapecó e Florianópolis de Santa Catarina-SC. Os instrumentos utilizados foram o Questionário para caracteristicas sociodemográficas e Formação, o Inventário Feminino dos Esquemas de Gênero do autoconceito (IFEGA) e o Inventário de Esquemas de Gênero do sexo masculino (IMEGA). Não houve diferença no esquema de gênero entre mulheres atletas que eram em sua maioria classificados como equilibradas entre o masculine e feminino (esquemática iso). Entre os homens, os jogadores de futebol mostraram um esquema de gênero masculino, enquanto os atletas de atletismo mostraram-se isoesquemáticos. Em relação à variação dentro das dimensões do esquema de género, os atletas de futebol apresentaram valores mais elevados em termos de inferioridade em relação aos do atletismo. Entre os homens, os atletas de atletismo apresentaram valores mais elevados de ousadia e valores mais baixos de insegurança em relação aos atletas de futebol. Conclui-se que os esquemas de gênero do autoconceito apresentou variações nas duas modalidades para atletas do sexo masculine. No entanto, as variações nas suas dimensões constitutivas do esquema ocorreu de acordo com a natureza do esporte praticado.

El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar las diferencias en los esquemas de género de autoconcepto entre los deportes colectivos e individuales. Los participantes fueron 140 atletas aficionados de edades comprendidas entre los 13 y 17 años que practican un deporte de equipo (fútbol sala) y un deporte individual (atletismo) en los municipios de Chapecó y Florianópolis Santa Catarina-SC. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron el Cuestionario para sociodemográfico y Formación, el inventario femeninos esquemas de género del autoconcepto (IFEGA) y el Inventario de esquemas de género masculinos de Autoconcepto (IMEGA). No hay diferencias en el esquema de género se encontraron entre las mujeres deportistas que fueron clasificados principalmente como femenina (esquemática iso) masculino /. Entre los hombres, los jugadores de fútbol mostraron un esquema de género hetero masculino, mientras que en el atletismo mostraron un esquema esquemática iso. En cuanto a la variación dentro de las dimensiones de género de esquema, los atletas de fútbol tuvieron valores más altos en términos de inferioridad en relación con los de atletismo. Entre los hombres, los atletas atletismo mostraron valores más altos de audacia y valores más bajos de la inseguridad en comparación con los atletas de fútbol. Llegamos a la conclusión de que los esquemas de género de auto-concepto sólo tenían variaciones en las dos modalidades para los atletas masculinos; sin embargo, las variaciones en sus dimensiones constitutivas de esquema se produjeron de acuerdo con la naturaleza del deporte practicado.

Foram estudadas, em condições controladas, a acumulação de matéria seca e a de macronutrientes na variedade de arroz IAC-47. Ambos os processos em geral são descritos por sigmóides típicas; picos para os valores totais de produção de matéria seca e de acumulação de elementos entre: 100 e 140 dias depois da germinação.

Rice plants, variety IAC-47, were grown in the nº 2 nutrient solution of HOAGLAND & ARNON (1950) until the end of the life cycle. Plants were sampled at well defined physiological periods for analyses. It was verified that trends for levvelling off occurred in the case of accumulation of N, K and Ca. Translocation from leaves to grain was observed with respect to N, P and K. Maximum rates of uptake of all elements took place from 50 to 100 days after germination.

Plantas de arroz, variedades IAC-25 e IAC-47 foram cultivadas em solução nutritiva e com deficiência de B, Cu e Zn. Foram obtidos sintomas de carência dos três micronutrientes. As deficiências induzidas provocaram diminuição na matéria seca total e no número de folhas das duas variedades. O mesmo ocorreu no numero de perfilhos da var. IAC-47. Foi feita a determinação dos teores dos micronutrientes nas plantas submetidas aos diferentes tratamentos o que forneceu dados que ajudam a avaliação do estado nutricional.

Rice plants were grown in nutrient solution lither in the presence or in the absence of B, Cu and Zn. The symptoms of deficiency were usually in agreement with those described in the literature. Growth of the variety IAC-47 (number of leaves, tillering and total dry matter) was relatively more affected; this variety, however did produce grains under the minus Cu treatment (one fourth of the yield observed in the "complete" treatment), which did not happen in the case of the other variety. At the beginning of the grain filling period the following leaf contents could be considered as indication of deficiency: B-13 to 25 ppm; Zn-20 ppm; no conclusion could be drawn with respect to Cu levels.

As exigências nutricionais das variedades de arroz IAC 25 e IAC 47 foram determinadas analisando-se os diferentes órgãos de plantas cultivadas em solução nutritiva até o fim do ciclo. Verificou-se serem distintas as exigências, maior na IAC 47 (mais tardia) que deu também maior produção de grãos com casca.

Rice plants, varieties IAC 25 and IAC 47, were grown in nutrient solution till the end of the life cycle when they were analysed both for macro and micronutrients. Main conclusions were the following: IAC 47, higher yielding, showed larger requirements than IAC 25; for production (total) and export (grain), the demand for nutrients was the same in both varieties.
