RESUMO Práticas motoras devem proporcionar às crianças a aquisição dos padrões maduros das habilidades fundamentais, mas a Educação Física escolar não parece oferecer estímulos suficientes. O objetivo foi investigar o efeito de aulas sistematizadas na coordenação motora de pré-escolares. O nível coordenativo de 84 crianças de quatro a cinco anos foi avaliado através da bateria de testes de coordenação corporal para crianças, antes e após dois distintos programas de atividades motoras – aulas regulares de Educação Física de professores regentes (grupo controle) e intervenção baseada na abordagem desenvolvimentista (grupo experimental). Comparamos as pontuações das tarefas entre os grupos para cada momento; entre pré e pós-teste para cada grupo; analisamos os tamanhos dos efeitos; e efetuamos análises posteriores segmentadas por sexo e por idade. Ambos os grupos melhoraram significativamente em todas as tarefas. No pós-teste, o grupo experimental apresentou valores superiores aos de grupo controle para uma tarefa apenas, mas obteve efeitos maiores para todas as tarefas. Os resultados segmentados não diferiram quanto ao efeito das intervenções em relação ao sexo, mas indicaram que crianças mais jovens possam ser particularmente sensíveis a tais intervenções. Discutimos a relevância da aplicação de conteúdos sistematizados, variados, com dificuldade progressiva, e compatível com a faixa etária para um adequado desenvolmimento da coordenação motora de pré-escolares.

ABSTRACT Motor practices should provide children with mature patterns of fundamental skills, but scholarly Physical Education currently does not offer sufficient stimulation. The objective of the study was to evaluate the effect of systematized classes on preschool children's motor coordination. The coordinative level of 84 children aged four to five years was evaluated through the battery of tests Körperkoordinationstest für Kinder, before and after two distinct programs of motor practices, namely the regular Physical Education classes given by non-specialist physical education teachers (control group) and intervention based on a developmental approach (experimental group). The Körperkoordinationstest für Kinder test scores were compared between groups for each moment and between pre- and post-tests for each group. The analysis was stratified by sex and by age, and the effect sizes were calculated. Both groups have improved the scores in all tasks. In the post-test, experimental group achieved statistically higher scores compared to control group for only one task of Körperkoordinationstest für Kinder, but it achieved higher effect sizes in all tasks. The stratified results did differ in relation to the effect of the interventions regarding sex but indicated that younger children might be particularly sensitive to those interventions. We discuss the relevance of systematized contents with organization, variability, progressive difficulty, and suitability to the age range for adequate development of motor coordination in preschoolers.

RESUMO Objetivo: Analisar a literatura quanto à eficácia da utilização dos exergames nas aulas de Educação Física e na aquisição e desenvolvimento de habilidades e capacidades motoras. Fontes de dados: As buscas dos estudos foram realizadas por duas avaliadoras de forma independente, limitadas às línguas inglesa e portuguesa, em quatro bases de dados: Web of Science, Science Direct, Scopus e PubMed, sem restrições de ano. As palavras-chave utilizadas foram: “Exergames and motor learning and skill motor” e “Exergames and skill motor and physical education”. Adotaram-se como critérios de inclusão: artigos que avaliaram a eficácia da utilização dos exergames nas aulas de Educação Física e na aquisição e desenvolvimento de habilidades e capacidades motoras. Excluíram-se da análise: livros, teses e dissertações; artigos repetidos; conferências, artigos publicados em anais e resumos de congressos; amostras com patologias e/ou com fins de reabilitação. Síntese dos dados: Foram encontradas 96 publicações. Após a aplicação dos critérios de exclusão, oito artigos foram selecionados. A qualidade dos artigos foi avaliada pelas escalas Strengthening the Reporting of Observational Studies in Epidemiology (STROBE) e The Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro). Foi possível verificar evidências sobre os efeitos positivos da utilização dos exergames tanto na aquisição de habilidades motoras quanto no desenvolvimento de capacidades motoras. Conclusões: Os exergames, quando utilizados de forma consciente - de modo a não substituir completamente os esportes e outras atividades lúdicas -, representam boas estratégias para pais e professores de Educação Física na motivação à prática do exercício físico.

ABSTRACT Objective: To analyze the literature on the effectiveness of exergames in physical education classes and in the acquisition and development of motor skills and abilities. Data source: The analyses were carried out by two independent evaluators, limited to English and Portuguese, in four databases: Web of Science, Science Direct, Scopus and PubMed, without restrictions related with year. The keywords used were: “Exergames and motor learning and motor skill” and “Exergames and motor skill and physical education”. The inclusion criteria were: articles that evaluated the effectiveness of exergames in physical education classes regarding the acquisition and development of motor skills. The following were excluded: books, theses and dissertations; repetitions; articles published in proceedings and conference summaries; and studies with sick children and/or use of the tool for rehabilitation purposes. Data synthesis: 96 publications were found, and 8 studies were selected for a final review. The quality of the articles was evaluated using the Strengthening the Reporting of Observational Studies in Epidemiology (STROBE) scale and the Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro) scale. Evidence was found on the recurring positive effects of exergames in both motor skills acquisition and motor skills development. Conclusions: Exergames, when used in a conscious manner - so as to not completely replace sports and other recreational activities -, incorporate good strategies for parents and physical education teachers in motivating children and adolescents to practice physical exercise.

RESUMO O desenvolvimento da criança é um processo contínuo, dinâmico e não linear, no qual o movimento configura uma das necessidades vitais do ser humano. Este estudo quase-experimental teve por objetivo analisar a magnitude da mudança no nível coordenativo de 43 escolares com idade entre 6 e 7 anos, de ambos os sexos, submetidos a dois distintos programas de intervenção de atividades físicas, separados em grupo experimental (GE) e grupo controle (GC). Para avaliar a coordenação motora utilizou-se o Körperkoordinationstest Test Für Kinder (KTK). Os dados foram submetidos à análise estatística aplicando-se os testes de normalidade e t - student (para amostras independentes e para amostras pareadas). Os resultados indicaram que, no geral, os meninos obtiveram escores médios superiores aos das meninas, e, houve um decréscimo nos níveis de coordenação em escolares com idade mais avançada. Além disso, constatou-se que o GE obteve índices mais elevados que o GC.

ABSTRACT Child development is a continuous process, dynamic and non-linear, in which the movement sets up one of the vital needs of the human being. This quasi-experimental study aimed to analyze the magnitude of change in the coordinative level of 43 schoolchildren aged between 6 and 7 years, of both sexes, subject to two distinct physical activity intervention programs, separated in the experimental group (GE) and control group (GC). To evaluate the motor control using the Körperkoordinationstest Test Für Kinder (KTK). The data were subjected to statistical analysis by applying the tests of normality and t-student (for independent samples and for paired samples). The results indicated that, in General, boys obtained average scores above those of girls, and there was a decrease in the levels of coordination in schools with older age. In addition, it was noted that the GE obtained higher that the GC.
