Abstract Several studies have reported a link between emotional competencies and academic achievement in higher education, and about the need to implement strategies for young university students to face educational demands. Along this line, the aim of this study was to explore the characteristics of emotional regulation that affect the academic performance of a group of university students, with the purpose of designing a psychoeducational proposal aimed at strengthening the emotional self-management of this population. For this, a diagnostic phase was carried out in which 80 university students participated, 33.8 % male and 66.2 % female, aged between 18 and 25 years (M = 21.09; SD = 1.92), to whom the Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale (DERS) instrument and the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (PUCE) Learning Assessment Scale were applied. The results showed the presence of difficulties in goal-orientation behaviors, as well as a significant association between academic performance and lack of emotional acceptance and clarity. With these findings, the Logical Framework methodology was used to design a proposal of seven workshops to promote the development of competencies related to emotional recognition and management, stress and anxiety management, decision making and conflict management, intrinsic motivation and self-knowledge, time management and administration.

Resumen Varios estudios han reportado una asociación entre competencias emocionales y logros académicos en educación superior, y sobre la importancia de implementar estrategias para que los jóvenes afronten las demandas educativas. En esta línea, el objetivo del presente estudio consistió en explorar las características de la competencia de regulación emocional que inciden en el rendimiento académico de un grupo de jóvenes universitarios, con la finalidad de diseñar una propuesta psicoeducativa orientada a fortalecer la autogestión emocional de esta población. Para ello, se realizó una fase diagnóstica en la que participaron ochenta estudiantes universitarios, 33,8 % de sexo masculino y 66,2 % de sexo femenino, con edades comprendidas entre 18 y 25 años (M = 21,09; DE = 1,92), a quienes se les aplicó el instrumento Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale (DERS) y la Escala de Valoración de Aprendizajes de la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (PUCE). Los resultados mostraron la presencia de dificultades en conductas dirigidas a metas, así como una asociación significativa entre rendimiento académico y falta de aceptación y de claridad emocional. Con estos hallazgos, se empleó la metodología del Marco Lógico para diseñar una propuesta de siete talleres para fomentar el desarrollo de competencias relacionadas con reconocimiento y gestión de emociones, manejo de estrés y ansiedad, toma decisiones y manejo de conflictos, motivación intrínseca y autoconocimiento, gestión y administración del tiempo.

ABSTRACT Objective: The current study aimed to translate the Hammersmith Infant Neurological Examination (HINE) into Brazilian Portuguese and analyze the reliability of the translated version for a population of Brazilian infants. Methods: This was a methodological study, approved by the Ethics Committee, carried out between June 2020 and May 2021. HINE is a standardized clinical neurological examination used for the early detection of cerebral palsy. The quantitative section, “neurological examination”, contains 26 items scored from 0 to 3 points, divided into five categories: cranial nerve function, posture, movements, muscle tone and reflexes, and reactions. The HINE translation followed four steps: translation, synthesis, back-translation, and evaluation by an expert committee. To verify the reliability of the HINE-Br (Portuguese-Brazil version) two independent examiners evaluated 43 infants, between 3 and 22 months of age. Internal consistency was verified by Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient and interrater reliability by the intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC). Results: The translated version was similar to the original version and a few semantic and idiomatic adjustments were necessary. Appropriate internal consistency (Alpha=0.91) was found for the 26 items of the HINE-Br, as well as strong interrater reliability for the total score (ICC2.1=0.95), and also for the five categories (ICC2.1=0.83–0.95). Conclusions: The HINE-Br presents adequate rates of internal consistency and interrater reliability, and can be used for the evaluation of children at risk for cerebral palsy, between 3 and 24 months of age, by pediatricians and pediatric physical therapists. RESUMO Objetivo: Traduzir o Hammersmith Infant Neurological Examination (HINE) para o português brasileiro e analisar a confiabilidade da versão traduzida em lactentes brasileiros. Métodos: Estudo metodológico, aprovado por Comitê de Ética, realizado entre junho de 2020 e maio de 2021. O HINE é um exame clínico neurológico padronizado, utilizado para detecção precoce de paralisia cerebral. A seção quantitativa, “exame neurológico”, contém 26 itens pontuados de 0 a 3, divididos em 5 categorias: função dos nervos cranianos; postura; movimentos; tônus muscular e reflexos; e reações. A tradução do HINE seguiu quatro etapas: tradução; síntese; retrotradução; e avaliação por um comitê de especialistas. Dois examinadores independentes avaliaram 43 lactentes, entre 3 e 22 meses, utilizando a versão HINE-Br (versão em português brasileiro), para verificar sua confiabilidade. A consistência interna foi verificada pelo coeficiente Alpha de Cronbach e a confiabilidade interexaminadores pelo coeficiente de correlação intraclasse (CCI). Abstract The objective of this work was to evaluate the influence of using a semi-hydroponic system on the agronomic and postharvest variables of strawberry cultivars. The experiment was conducted in a randomized complete block design, with cultivars Aromas, Camarosa, Festival, Merced, Oso Grande, and San Andreas, with eight plants per plot and five replicates. Agronomic and postharvest variables were evaluated. Cultivar San Andreas showed the highest values for the agronomic variables number of commercial fruits and total and commercial yield per plant, with the highest yield in October, November, and December. The postharvest variables moisture, firmness, pH, titratable acidity, and reducing sugars did not differ between cultivars. Resumo O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a influência do uso de sistema semi-hidropônico sobre as variáveis agronômicas e de pós-colheita de cultivares de morangueiro. O experimento foi conduzido em delineamento de blocos ao acaso, com as cultivares Aromas, Camarosa, Festival, Merced, Oso Grande e San Andreas, com oito plantas por parcela e cinco repetições. Foram avaliadas variáveis agronômicas e de pós-colheita. A cultivar San Andreas apresentou os maiores valores para as variáveis agronômicas número de frutos comerciais e produção total e comercial por planta, com as maiores produtividades em outubro, novembro e dezembro. Abstract In this study, thyme essential oil was added to poly (butylene adipate-co-terephthalate) (PBAT) films in a variety of compositions (0, 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, and 20% w/w), and the effect of the essential oil on the PBAT's characteristics was evaluated. The films were produced using the casting technique. Thyme essential oil (EO) was evaluated by mid-infrared, gas chromatography-mass spectrometer, and antimicrobial activity. The films were evaluated by mid-infrared, mechanical, and thermal tests. The results demonstrated that EO has a higher concentration of o-cymene and antimicrobial activity against the bacteria Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. The present study investigated the sources of variability in the water quality of surface springs that supply the Metropolitan Region of Belém (Pará, Brazil), as well as the treated water produced by the main water treatment station in the region. Data provided by Companhia de Saneamento do Pará were used, referring to physical-chemical and bacteriological analyzes carried out in the period from 2010 to 2020. Caracterizado por síntomas que permanecen o aparecen por primera vez dentro de los tres meses posteriores a la infección por SARS-CoV-2, la COVID larga puede manifestarse de diferentes formas, incluso entre casos no hospitalizados o asintomáticos. En este sentido, este artículo presenta un panorama la COVID larga en Brasil, con énfasis en el diagnóstico, los síntomas y los desafíos para la nueva gestión de la salud. Se utilizaron datos de una encuesta realizada para investigar la COVID larga en personas afectadas por COVID-19. Se trata de datos originales de una encuesta con individuos brasileños adultos (18 años o más), que tuvieron COVID-19, con datos recolectados entre el 14 de marzo y el 14 de abril de 2022, por medio de un cuestionario divulgado en las redes sociales. El cuestionario abordó características sociodemográficas, historial de infecciones por COVID-19, vacunación contra la enfermedad, investigación de la situación de salud y de la calidad de vida antes y después de COVID-19, además de la búsqueda y acceso a tratamiento. De los 1.728 encuestados, 720 fueron considerados elegibles para el análisis. De ellos, 496 (69%) tenían COVID larga. Characterized by symptoms that remain or appear for the first time within three months of SARS-CoV-2 infection, long COVID can manifest itself in different ways, including in non-hospitalized or asymptomatic cases. Thus, this study offers an overview of long COVID in Brazil, especially of its diagnosis, symptoms, and challenges for new health management. Data from a study that investigated long COVID in people affected by COVID-19 were used. These original data stem from a survey with adult Brazilians (aged 18 years or older) who had COVID-19 that collected information from March 14 to April 14, 2022, by a questionnaire on social media. The questionnaire addressed sociodemographic characteristics, history of COVID-19 infections, vaccination against the disease, investigation of health status and quality of life before and after COVID-19, and search and access to treatment. Of the 1,728 respondents, 720 were considered eligible for analysis, of which 496 (69%) had long COVID. Individuals with long COVID reported clinical manifestations such as anxiety (80%), memory loss (78%), generalized pain (77%), lack of attention (75%), fatigue (73%), hair loss (71%), sleep changes (70%), mood swings (62%), malaise (60%), and joint pain (59%). RESUMEN Objetivo: Evaluar el patrón de sueño de niños y adolescentes con enfermedades crónicas durante la hospitalización y correlacionarlo con la resiliencia, la calidad de vida y los datos clínicos y sociodemográficos. Método: Estudio cuantitativo, descriptivo y transversal. La recolección de datos se realizó entre mayo de 2022 y enero de 2023, con niños y adolescentes con condiciones crónicas de dos hospitales de Río de Janeiro. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron el Actigraph, la Escala de Resiliencia para Niños y Adolescentes de Sandra Prince-Embury y el Inventario Pediátrico de Calidad de Vida. El análisis de los datos incluyó estadística descriptiva y pruebas de correlación. Resultados: Participaron 40 niños y adolescentes hospitalizados de entre 9 y 18 años. Los resultados mostraron un sueño comprometido, especialmente en términos de duración y tiempo despierto tras el inicio del sueño. Las puntuaciones de calidad de vida fueron bajas y los niveles de resiliencia se clasificaron entre medios y altos. Se hallaron correlaciones entre la resiliencia y el sueño. Además, el diagnóstico y el tratamiento influyeron en el sueño. ABSTRACT Objective: To evaluate the sleep pattern of children and adolescents with chronic conditions during hospitalization and correlate it with resilience, quality of life, clinical and sociodemographic data. Method: Quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional study. Data collection took place between May 2022 and January 2023, with children and adolescents with chronic conditions from two hospitals in Rio de Janeiro. The instruments used were the Actigraph, Sandra Prince-Embury’s Resilience Scale for Children and Adolescents and the Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics and correlation tests. Results: 40 hospitalized children and adolescents between the ages of nine and 18 took part. The results showed compromised sleep, especially in terms of duration and time awake after sleep onset. Quality of life scores were low and resilience levels were classified as medium to high. Correlations were found between resilience and sleep. In addition, sleep was influenced by diagnosis and treatment. Conclusion: Children and adolescents hospitalized with chronic conditions experience significant sleep disturbances and have a low quality of life, but have satisfactory levels of resilience. Método: Estudo quantitativo, descrito e transversal. A coleta de dados ocorreu entre maio de 2022 e janeiro de 2023, com crianças e adolescentes com condições crônicas de dois hospitais do Rio de Janeiro. Os instrumentos utilizados foram o Actigraph, Escala de Resiliência para Crianças e Adolescentes de Sandra Prince-Embury e Inventário Pediátrico de Qualidade de Vida. A análise dos dados envolveu estatística descritiva e teste de correlação. Resultados: Participaram 40 crianças e adolescentes hospitalizados entre nove e 18 anos. Os resultados mostraram sono comprometido, principalmente nos quesitos duração e tempo acordado após início do sono. Os escores para qualidade de vida foram baixos e níveis de resiliência classificados entre médio e alto. Foram encontradas correlações entre resiliência e sono. Abstract This article aimed to analyze recommendations for health education for pregnant and postpartum women in times of the Covid-19 pandemic. This is an integrative review that took place from September 2021 to February 2022, in the MEDLINE databases via PubMed, Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature, Scientific Electronic Library Online and the Virtual Health Library. The online software Endnote Web was used to store the references obtained in the search and to remove duplications. The final sample consisted of 17 studies. After analysis, the findings were divided into two categories: health education for prenatal care of pregnant women and health education for the physical and mental well-being of pregnant and postpartum women. The study showed that the recommendations for pregnant and puerperal women, in the pandemic scenario, emphasize health education associated with technological tools throughout the pregnancy-puerperal process, based on information and strategies that favor health promotion and disease prevention. Resumo Este artigo objetivou analisar recomendações para educação em saúde de gestantes e puérperas em tempos de pandemia de Covid-19. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa que ocorreu no período setembro de 2021 a fevereiro de 2022, nas bases de dados MEDLINE via PubMed, Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde, Scientific Electronic Library Online e na Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde. Utilizou-se o software online Endnote Web para armazenar as referências obtidas na busca e retirar duplicações. A amostra final foi composta por 17 estudos. Após análise, os achados foram distribuídos em duas categorias: educação em saúde para assistência pré-natal de gestantes e educação em saúde para bem-estar físico e mental de gestantes e puérperas. Several factors can influence this scenario, including access to immunizers and people’s hesitation to take vaccines. The exchange of information about the topic increased considerably during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this study, we carried out an analysis of stories about vaccines shown on Fantástico, TV Globo, and on Domingo Espetacular, Record TV, from March 2020 to August 2021, aiming to investigate how both TV shows - both broadcast on Sundays and focused on infotainment, but with different editorial lines and audiences - presented the theme and provided visibility to it. The corpus analysis gathered 110 stories, a total of 10 hours and 43 minutes, submitted to content analysis. In general, the TV shows stimulated the population to trust the vaccines, but exaggerations and imprecisions were observed on the show on Record TV.

Caracterizado por síntomas que permanecen o aparecen por primera vez dentro de los tres meses posteriores a la infección por SARS-CoV-2, la COVID larga puede manifestarse de diferentes formas, incluso entre casos no hospitalizados o asintomáticos. En este sentido, este artículo presenta un panorama la COVID larga en Brasil, con énfasis en el diagnóstico, los síntomas y los desafíos para la nueva gestión de la salud. Se utilizaron datos de una encuesta realizada para investigar la COVID larga en personas afectadas por COVID-19. Se trata de datos originales de una encuesta con individuos brasileños adultos (18 años o más), que tuvieron COVID-19, con datos recolectados entre el 14 de marzo y el 14 de abril de 2022, por medio de un cuestionario divulgado en las redes sociales. El cuestionario abordó características sociodemográficas, historial de infecciones por COVID-19, vacunación contra la enfermedad, investigación de la situación de salud y de la calidad de vida antes y después de COVID-19, además de la búsqueda y acceso a tratamiento. De los 1.728 encuestados, 720 fueron considerados elegibles para el análisis. De ellos, 496 (69%) tenían COVID larga. Las personas con COVID larga informaron manifestaciones clínicas como ansiedad (80%), pérdida de memoria (78%), dolor generalizado (77%), falta de atención (75%), fatiga (73%), pérdida de cabello (71%), cambios en el sueño (70%), cambios de humor (62%), malestar (60%) y dolor en las articulaciones (59%). La mayoría recurrió a los servicios de salud durante y después de la fase aguda de COVID-19 (94% y 80%, respectivamente), lo que representa la necesidad de estructurar el sistema de salud para atender a estos pacientes.

Nesse sentido, este artigo apresenta um panorama da COVID longa no Brasil, com ênfase no diagnóstico, nos sintomas e nos desafios para a nova gestão da saúde. Foram utilizados dados de um estudo realizado com objetivo de investigar a COVID longa em pessoas acometidas pela COVID-19, com dados originais de um inquérito com indivíduos brasileiros adultos (18 anos ou mais) que tiveram COVID-19, coletados entre 14 de março e 14 de abril de 2022, por meio de questionário divulgado em redes sociais. Characterized by symptoms that remain or appear for the first time within three months of SARS-CoV-2 infection, long COVID can manifest itself in different ways, including in non-hospitalized or asymptomatic cases. Thus, this study offers an overview of long COVID in Brazil, especially of its diagnosis, symptoms, and challenges for new health management. Data from a study that investigated long COVID in people affected by COVID-19 were used. These original data stem from a survey with adult Brazilians (aged 18 years or older) who had COVID-19 that collected information from March 14 to April 14, 2022, by a questionnaire on social media. The questionnaire addressed sociodemographic characteristics, history of COVID-19 infections, vaccination against the disease, investigation of health status and quality of life before and after COVID-19, and search and access to treatment. Of the 1,728 respondents, 720 were considered eligible for analysis, of which 496 (69%) had long COVID. Individuals with long COVID reported clinical manifestations such as anxiety (80%), memory loss (78%), generalized pain (77%), lack of attention (75%), fatigue (73%), hair loss (71%), sleep changes (70%), mood swings (62%), malaise (60%), and joint pain (59%). Most sought health services during and after the acute phase of COVID-19 (94 and 80%, respectively), representing the need to structure the healthcare system for these patients.

Abstract During studies on fish parasites, two new species of Anacanthorus were found parasitizing serrasalmid fishes, Anacanthorus simpliciphallus sp. n. from the hybrid Piaractus mesopotamicus x Piaractus brachypomus and Anacanthorus brandtii sp. n. from Serrasalmus brandtii. Anacanthorus simpliciphallus sp. n. resembles Anacanthorus reginae in the morphology of the male copulatory organ (MCO) and accessory piece but differs from A. reginae in terms of the smaller size of the accessory piece, which corresponds approximately half the size of the MCO and by the presence of a conspicuous metraterm, with a membranous terminal region. Anacanthorus brandtii sp. n. differs from Anacanthorus scapanus by the expansion of the accessory piece, from Anacanthorus jegui by the ratio MCO (male copulatory organ) /AP (accessory piece) and by the expansion of hook shank, from Anacanthorus sciponophallus and A. reginae by the ratio MCO/AP. Anacanthorus simpliciphallus sp. n. assemelha-se a Anacanthorus reginae na morfologia do órgão copulatório masculino (OCM) e peça acessória (PA), mas difere de A. reginae pelo tamanho menor da peça acessória, que corresponde a aproximadamente metade do tamanho do OCM e pela presença de um metraterma conspícuo, com uma região terminal membranosa. RESUMEN Objetivos: identificar las prácticas de los profesionales de la salud de Atención Primaria frente a la lepra. Métodos: revisión del alcance, realizada entre noviembre de 2022 y enero de 2023, realizada de acuerdo con el marco metodológico propuesto por JBI y checklist Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews en seis bases de datos y literatura adicional. ABSTRACT Objectives: to identify Primary Health Care professionals’ practice in the face of leprosy. Methods: a scoping review, carried out between November 2022 and January 2023, conducted according to the methodological structure proposed by JBI and checklist Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews in six databases and additional literature. Results: the sample consisted of 11 articles, published between 2008 and 2022. The findings were synthesized into three categories: Early diagnosis and timely treatment; Physical disability prevention; and Household and social contact surveillance. Final Considerations: there is a need to align the practices carried out with those recommended by the Brazilian National Program for Leprosy Control and Elimination, as some were not identified in studies, which implies losses to qualified assistance directed to patient demands, with a view to control and elimination of leprosy.
