Abstract Systemic Arterial Hypertension is a multifactorial clinical condition associated with severe outcomes such as stroke and death. One of the main modifiable risk factor for hypertension is an unhealthy diet, often characterized by the consumption of ultraprocessed foods such as sweetened beverages. We aimed to investigate the relationship between the consumption of sweetened beverages, both sugar-sweetened and artificially sweetened, and the prevalence of hypertension in adults. A cross-sectional, household, population-based study with 1,162 adults from two Brazilian cities were carried out. The consumption of food groups and sweetened beverages was obtained by food frequency questionnaire and other data were self-reported. Weight, height, and waist circumference were measured. The association between sweetened beverages consumption and hypertension was analyzed using Poisson regression models, expressed as Prevalence Ratio. The prevalence of hypertension was 16.7%, with no significant difference between genders. The prevalence of consumption of sweetened beverages was 70.3% in men and 54.6% in women, being significantly higher in men. Women who consumed sugar-sweetened and artificially sweetened beverages 6 to 7 days per week had 92% higher prevalence of hypertension compared to those who did not consume or consumed at a lower frequency. Furthermore, women who consumed artificially sweetened beverages at least 1 time per week had 3.36 times higher prevalence of hypertension. The habitual consumption of sweetened beverages may be an important risk factor for hypertension, especially the consumption of diet beverages, which are often marketed as healthier than sugar-sweetened beverages.

Resumen La Hipertensión Arterial Sistémica es una condición clínica multifactorial asociada a resultados graves como el ictus y la muerte. Uno de los principales factores de riesgo modificables de la hipertensión es una dieta poco saludable, a menudo caracterizada por el consumo de alimentos ultraprocesados como las bebidas endulzadas. Nuestro objetivo fue investigar la relación entre el consumo de bebidas endulzadas, tanto azucaradas como edulcoradas artificialmente, y la prevalencia de hipertensión en adultos. Se realizó un estudio transversal, domiciliario y poblacional con 1,162 adultos de dos ciudades brasileñas. El consumo de grupos de alimentos y bebidas endulzadas se obtuvo mediante cuestionario de frecuencia de alimentos y los demás datos fueron autoinformados. Se midieron el peso, la talla y el perímetro de la cintura. La asociación entre el consumo de bebidas endulzadas y la hipertensión se analizó mediante modelos de regresión de Poisson, expresados como Ratio de Prevalencia. La prevalencia de hipertensión fue del 16,7%, sin diferencias significativas entre géneros. La prevalencia de consumo de bebidas endulzadas fue del 70,3% en los hombres y del 54,6% en las mujeres, siendo significativamente mayor en los hombres. Las mujeres que consumían bebidas azucaradas y edulcoradas artificialmente entre 6 y 7 días a la semana tenían 92% mayor prevalencia de hipertensión que las que no consumían o consumían con una frecuencia menor. Además, las mujeres que consumían bebidas edulcoradas al menos 1 vez por semana tenían una prevalencia de hipertensión 3,36 veces mayor. Así pues, el consumo habitual de bebidas endulzadas puede ser un importante factor de riesgo de hipertensión, especialmente el consumo de bebidas dietéticas, que a menudo se comercializan como más saludables que las bebidas azucaradas.

Abstract: Creation, adjustments and adoption of tests and tools that help in the prediction of seed storability have been highly demanded. Therefore, this work aimed to analyze the efficiency of different artificial aging times in predicting the performance of soybean seeds after storage, using the GGE biplot method. Seeds of six genotypes were subjected to storage, under refrigerated and non-refrigerated conditions, and artificial aging, being artificially aged for periods of 0, 48, 96 and 144 hours. Seeds freshly harvested and after natural and artificial aging were subjected to germination and vigor tests. The experiments were analyzed separately, using means test, regression analysis and model identity test, and together, using the GGE biplot method. Artificial aging at a temperature of 41 °C for 96 hours has the potential to be used to predict the performance of soybean seeds after eight months of storage. The GGE biplot is a method that can be used as a tool to analyze the relationships between aging environments and visualize the ranking of genotypes regarding the performance of seeds subjected to natural and artificial aging.

Resumo: Tem sido altamente requerida a elaboração, ajustes e adoção de testes e ferramentas que auxiliem na predição da armazenabilidade de sementes. Diante disso, este trabalho teve por objetivo analisar a eficiência de diferentes tempos de envelhecimento artificial na predição do desempenho das sementes de soja após o armazenamento, utilizando-se o método GGE biplot. Sementes de seis genótipos foram submetidas ao armazenamento, sob condição refrigerada e não refrigerada, e envelhecimento artificial, sendo envelhecidas artificialmente pelos períodos de 0, 48, 96 e 144 horas. As sementes recém-colhidas e após o envelhecimento natural e artificial foram submetidas a testes de germinação e vigor. Os experimentos foram analisados separadamente, por meio de teste de médias, análise de regressão e teste de identidade de modelos, e em conjunto, utilizando-se o método GGE biplot. O envelhecimento artificial, à temperatura de 41 °C por 96 horas apresenta potencial para ser utilizado na predição do desempenho de sementes de soja após oito meses de armazenamento. O GGE biplot é um método que pode ser utilizado como ferramenta para analisar as relações entre os ambientes de envelhecimento e visualizar o ranqueamento dos genótipos quanto ao desempenho das sementes submetidas ao envelhecimento natural e artificial.

ABSTRACT: The present study described the prevalence and factors associated with the seropositivity for anti-Brucella spp. antibodies in working equids in the semiarid regionofnortheastern Brazil. Blood samples were collected from 322 equids (76 horses, 155 mules and 91 donkeys). The Rose Bengal plate test (RBPT) was used as a screening method. Samples that were reactive in the RBPT were tested for confirmation using 2-mercaptoethanol (2-ME) and the standard tube agglutination test (STAT). Overall, 7.1% (23/322) of the samples were positive according to the RBPT. After confirmatory tests, the prevalence of brucellosis was found to be 6.5% (21/322). Among these cases, 33.3% (7/21) were horses, 42.8% (9/21) were mules and 23.9% (5/21) were donkeys. In the multivariate analysis, age over 10 years was considered to be a factor associated with the seropositivity (OR: 17.17; 95% CI: 2.582-164.7, P = 0.006) for anti-Brucella spp. antibodies. The significant prevalence of anti-Brucella spp. antibodies found in working equids and the wide distribution of positive animals demonstrates a worrying epidemiological situation regarding brucellosis in the study region. Age over 10 years was a risk factor associated with the seropositivity for anti-Brucella spp. antibodies in animals.

RESUMO: O objetivo do presente estudo foi descrever a prevalência e os fatores associados à infecção por Brucellaspp. em equídeos de trabalho na região semiárida do Nordeste do Brasil. Amostras de sangue foram coletadas de 322 equídeos (76 equinos, 155 muares e 91 asininos). O teste de placa Rosa Bengala (RBPT) foi usado como método de triagem. As amostras que foram reativas no RBPT foram enviadas para confirmação usando 2-mercaptoetanol (2-ME) e o teste padrão de aglutinação em tubo (STAT). Ao todo, 7,1% (23/322) das amostras foram positivas segundo o RBPT. Após testes confirmatórios, a prevalência de brucelose foi de 6,5% (21/322). Destes casos, 33,3% (7/21) foram equinos, 42,8% (9/21) muares e 23,9% (5/21) asininos. Na análise multivariada, idade acima de 10 anos foi considerada fator associado à infecção (OR: 17,17; 95% CI: 2,582-164,7, P = 0.006) por Brucellas pp. A prevalência significativa de anticorpos anti-Brucella spp. encontrados em equídeos de trabalho e a ampla distribuição de animais positivos demonstra uma situação epidemiológica preocupante em relação à brucelose na região de estudo. A idade superior a 10 anos foi um fator de risco associado à infecção em animais.

ABSTRACT This work aimed at investigating the viability of near infrared spectrometry (NIR), associated with chemometric methods, in order to identify differences at the levels of vigor of naturally and artificially aged soybean seeds. Seeds of six soybean genotypes were analyzed when freshly harvested, after natural aging in storage for eight months, and after artificial aging at the temperature of 41 °C for 96 hours. The seed moisture content, germination potential and vigor were evaluated. Also, there were measured the content of protein, oil and of the fatty acids: palmitic, stearic, oleic, linoleic and linolenic. The NIR spectra were obtained from the freeze-dried and grinded seeds. The natural and artificial aging of the seeds promote deterioration at distinct levels, reflecting in differences in seed vigor. The regions of the electromagnetic spectrum between wavelengths of 1000-1200 nm, 1350-1450 nm, 1800-1900 nm and 2300-2400 nm are important to distinguish the levels of quality of the soybean seeds. The contents of oil and protein have a relationship with the physiological quality of the seeds. Also, the most relevant wavelengths for the classification of seed vigor present a relationship with these compounds. NIR spectroscopy, in combination with chemometric methods, presents potential to be used in the classification of soybean seeds regarding their physiological quality.

Abstract This study aimed to evaluate the effect of nicotine administration on the osseointegration of a superhydrophilic implants surface on rat tibiae. Thirty-two rats were used and divided into 2 groups according to the administration or not of nicotine: HH - Installation of implants with superhydrophilic surfaces in healthy animals; and HN - Installation of implants with superhydrophilic surfaces in animals subjected to nicotine administration. The animals were euthanized 15 and 45 days after implant placement (n = 8). Osseointegration was assessed by means of biomechanical analyses (removal torque), microcomputed tomography (volume of bone around the implants- %BV/TV), and histomorphometry (bone-implant contact -%BIC and the bone area between implant threads -%BBT). The animals subject to the nicotine administration presented lower removal torque than the control animals at the 45-day period (21.88 ± 2.80 Ncm vs. 17.88 ± 2.10 Ncm). The implants placed in the control rats presented higher %BIC (54.26 ± 6.59% vs. 39.25 ± 4.46%) and %BBT (50.57 ± 5.28% vs. 32.25 ± 5.24%) than the implants placed in nicotine animals at 15-day period. The nicotine administration reduces the osseointegration at 15 days, however, the superhydrophilic surface equalized the osseointegration in nicotine-exposed animals compared with healthy animals after 45 days of implant placement.

Resumo O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar o efeito da administração de nicotina na osseointegração de implantes com superfície modificada por jateamento de oxidos e ataque ácido instalados em tíbia de ratos. Foram utilizados 32 ratos que foram divididos em 2 grupos de acordo com a administração ou não de nicotina: HH - Instalação de implantes com superfícies superhidrofílicas em animais sadios; e HN - Instalação de implantes com superfícies superhidrofílicas em animais submetidos à administração de nicotina. Os animais foram eutanasiados 15 e 45 dias após a colocação do implante (n = 8). A osseointegração foi avaliada por meio de análises biomecânicas (torque de remoção), microtomografia (volume de osso ao redor dos implantes - %BV/TV) e histomorfometrica (contato osso-implante -%BIC e área óssea entre roscas do implante -%BBT). Os animais submetidos à administração de nicotina apresentaram menor torque de remoção do que os animais controle no período de 45 dias (21,88 ± 2,80 Ncm vs. 17,88 ± 2,10 Ncm). Os implantes colocados nos ratos controle apresentaram maiores %BIC (54,26 ± 6,59% vs. 39,25 ± 4,46%) e %BBT (50,57 ± 5,28% vs. 32,25 ± 5,24%) do que os implantes colocados nos animais submetidos a administração de nicotina no período de 15 dias. A administração de nicotina prejudicou a osseointegração no período de 15 dias. Entretanto, a superfície superhidrofílica equalizou a osseointegração em animais expostos à nicotina em comparação com animais saudáveis após 45 dias da colocação do implante.

RESUMO Introdução: O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar se uma única sessão de treinamento intervalado de alta intensidade (HIIT) promoveria efeito hipotensor e risco cardiovascular em mulheres hipertensas, bem como aumentar a biodisponibilidade de óxido nítrico. Métodos: A amostra foi composta por 10 mulheres hipertensas (63,7 ± 10,34 anos; 66, ± 7,67 kg e 153,7 ± 9,08 cm) e a carga de treinamento foi estabelecida em 60% da velocidade aeróbica máxima. Resultados: Observamos um efeito hipotensor muito alto entre os momentos de interação durante a intervenção (Int. Pré: 122,40 ± 18,58; Int. Pós: 143,00 ± 24,90; Int. Pós 60 min.: 121,40 ± 13,87; p < 0,001, η2P = 0,569). Nenhum risco cardiovascular foi observado durante a intervenção (DP = Int. Pré: 9138,20 ± 1805,34; Int. Pós: 14849,70 ± 3387,94; Int. Pós: 60 min.: 9615,90 ± 1124,41, p < 0,001, η2P = 0,739) e não houve aumento da biodisponibilidade de óxido nítrico. Conclusões: Em conclusão, este trabalho revela que uma sessão de HIIT é capaz de gerar efeito hipotensor sem apresentar risco cardiovascular em mulheres hipertensas. Nível de evidência I; Estudo clínico randomizado de alta qualidade com ou sem diferença estatisticamente significativa, mas com intervalos de confiança estreitos .

ABSTRACT Introduction: The aim of this study was to evaluate whether a single session of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) would promote a hypotensive effect and cardiovascular risk in hypertensive women, in addition to increasing the bioavailability of nitric oxide. Methods: The sample consisted of 10 hypertensive women (63.7 ± 10.34 years; 66 ± 7.67 kg and 153.7 ± 9.08 cm) and the training load was established at 60% of the maximum aerobic speed. Results: We observed a very high hypotensive effect between the interaction moments during the intervention (Int. Pre: 122.40 ± 18.58; Int. Post: 143.00 ± 24.90; Int. Post 60min: 121.40 ± 13.87; p<0.001, η2P = 0.569). No cardiovascular risk was observed during the intervention (DP = Int. Pre: 9138.20 ± 1805.34; Int. Post: 14849.70 ± 3387.94; Int. Post 60min: 9615.90 ± 1124.41, p< 0.001, η2P = 0.739) and there was no increase in the bioavailability of nitric oxide. Conclusion: In conclusion, this work reveals that an HIIT session is capable of generating a hypotensive effect while not posing cardiovascular risk in hypertensive women. Level of evidence I; High-quality randomized clinical trial with or without statistically significant difference, but with narrow confidence intervals .

Métodos: La muestra fue compuesta por 10 mujeres hipertensas (63,7 ± 10,34 años; 66 ± 7,67 kg y 153,7 ± 9,08 cm) y la carga de entrenamiento se estableció en el 60% de la velocidad aeróbica máxima. Resultados: Se observó un efecto hipotensor muy elevado entre los momentos de interacción durante la intervención (Int. Pre: 122,40 ± 18,58; Int. Post: 143,00 ± 24,90; Int. Post 60 min: 121,40 ± 13,87; p <0,001, η2P = 0,569). No se observó ningún riesgo cardiovascular durante la intervención (DP = Int. Pre: 9138,20 ± 1805,34; Int. Post: 14849,70 ± 3387,94; Int. Post 60 min: 9615,90 ± 1124,41, p <0,001, η2P = 0,739) y no hubo aumento de la biodisponibilidad de óxido nítrico. Conclusiones: En conclusión, este trabajo revela que una sesión de HIIT es capaz de generar efecto hipotensor sin presentar riesgo cardiovascular en mujeres hipertensas. RESUMO O artigo analisa aspectos da mudança da natureza jurídica de instituições privadas de assistência à saúde, de estabelecimentos “com” para “sem” fins lucrativos. Trata-se de uma pesquisa exploratória, apoiada no referencial de análise de políticas, com foco em dados secundários, provenientes do Sistema de Cadastro Nacional de Estabelecimentos de Saúde (SCNES), de 2012 a 2020, e estudo de caso. Os resultados apresentam aumento dessas entidades em todas as regiões do país e evidências de que se comportam como estabelecimentos com fins lucrativos. A mudança de natureza jurídica oculta um processo mais amplo de mercantilização implícita dos serviços de saúde, incentivado por políticas estatais e relacionado às isenções previstas em lei.

ABSTRACT The article analyzes aspects of the change in the legal nature of private healthcare from “for-profit” to “non-profit” entities. It is an exploratory research, supported by the policy analysis framework, focusing on secondary data from the Cadastro Nacional de Estabelecimentos de Saúde (National Registry of Health Facilities – CNES) from 2012 to 2020 and a case study. The results show an increase in these entities in all regions of the country and evidence that they behave like profit-oriented entities. The change in legal nature hides a broader process of implicit commodification of healthcare services, encouraged by state policies and related to exemptions provided by law.

ABSTRACT The stabilized mortar feature is an extended setting time. The use of air-entraining admixture and hydration control admixtures are essential to maintain the fresh stage of the mortar on site and with adequate workability. This paper analysed the combined influence of these additives, aiming to contribute to the mortar dosage. Nine formulations were tested, which varied the content of additives, between the maximum and the minimum recommended by the manufacturer. The tests in the fresh stage were: consistence index, specific gravity and air entrained content and Squeeze-flow; and in the hardened stage were: flexural and the compressive strength and tensile bond strength. The efficiency of the additives in maintaining the rheological properties of the mortars, keeping them workable, was verified, but a loss of mechanical properties in the solid stage was also identified, due to hydration problems due to excess hydration control admixtures and the formation of voids by use of air-entraining admixture. Thus, it is concluded about the importance of compatibility between admixtures together and technological control in the dosage of mortars, so that they remain workable without losing the mechanical properties necessary for good performance and durability.

RESUMO A argamassa estabilizada tem como característica o tempo de pega estendido. O emprego de aditivos incorporadores de ar e estabilizadores de hidratação são fundamentais para manter o estado fresco da argamassa em obra e com trabalhabilidade adequada. Esse trabalho analisou a influência combinada desses aditivos, com o objetivo de contribuir com a dosagem de argamassas. Foram ensaiadas nove formulações, as quais variaram o teor de aditivos, entre o máximo e o mínimo recomendado pelo fabricante. Os ensaios no estado fresco foram: índice de consistência, densidade de massa e teor de ar incorporado e Squeeze-flow; e no estado endurecido para: resistência à tração na flexão e à compressão e resistência de aderência à tração. Verificou-se a eficiência dos aditivos em manter as propriedades reológicas das argamassas, mantendo-as trabalháveis, porém também se identificou perda das propriedades mecânicas no estado sólido, devido a problemas de hidratação decorrente do excesso de aditivo estabilizador de hidratação e pela formação de vazios pelo uso de incorporador de ar. Dessa forma, conclui-se sobre a importância da compatibilização entre os aditivos em conjunto e o controle tecnológico na dosagem das argamassas, para que elas se mantenham trabalháveis sem perder as propriedades mecânicas necessárias para um bom desempenho e durabilidade.

Abstract Objective: To compare the incidence and the histopathological aspect of spontaneous and two induced Mongolian gerbils’ models of cholesteatoma: External Auditory Canal (EAC) obliteration model and the Auditory Tube (AT) cauterization model. Methods: Fifty-four ears of 27 animals were divided into EAC obliteration, AT cauterization, and control groups and histologically assessed for cholesteatoma incidence and classification at intervals of 2, 4, 8, and 16 weeks. Results: Cholesteatoma was diagnosed in 30 of the 53 ears evaluated with a significantly higher incidence in groups that received some type of intervention (p < 0.0001). It was not possible to histologically distinguish cholesteatomas of the same stage between the study groups. Conclusion: Although we observed a significant increase in cholesteatoma incidence with the two methods used when compared to the control group, all developed cholesteatomas were apparently identical from a histological point of view.

ABSTRACT The cement mass is the part of the cementitious composite that has low resistance to friction and its mechanical and microstructural properties are decisive for the durability of the material. Microscopy techniques are commonly used to elucidate these mechanical, physical and chemical behaviors of cementitious compounds. The objective of this work was to elucidate the importance of microscopy techniques for the direct evaluation of the abrasive behavior of cement pastes with silicon carbide (SiC) microparticles. The methodology of the work consists of the manufacture of Exceptions of reference cementitious masses and with 10% SiC addition, analysis of the compressive and abrasive mechanical properties, in addition to Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) tests. The results that the intensification of the mechanical properties with the addition of SiC microparticles can be related to the external micrographs in the SEM, through the accentuated filling of the pores, and through the attenuated surface roughness identified in the AFM. It was concluded that the roughness and porosity results, acquired by the SEM and AFM techniques, can provide relevant information for the analysis of the durability of cementitious materials.

RESUMO A pasta de cimento é a parte do compósito cimentício que possui baixa resistência ao atrito e suas propriedades mecânicas e microestruturais são determinantes para a durabilidade do material. As técnicas de microscopia são comumente utilizadas para elucidar esses comportamentos mecânicos, físicos e químicos de compósitos cimentícios. O objetivo deste trabalho foi elucidar a importância de técnicas de microscopia para avaliação direta do comportamento abrasivo de pastas de cimento com micropartículas de carbeto de silício (SiC). A metodologia do trabalho consistiu na fabricação das amostras de pastas cimentícias de referência e com 10% de adição de SiC, análise das propriedades mecânicas compressivas e abrasivas, além de ensaios de Microscopia Eletrônica de Varredura (MEV) e Microscopia de Força Atômica (MFA). Os resultados mostraram que a intensificação das propriedades mecânicas com adição de micropartículas de SiC podem ser relacionados com as micrografias obtidas no MEV, através do acentuado preenchimento dos poros, e por meio da atenuada rugosidade superficial identificada no MFA. Concluiu-se que os resultados de rugosidade e porosidade, adquiridos pelas técnicas de MEV e MFA, podem fornecer informações relevantes para análise da durabilidade de materiais cimentícios.

Abstract Cervical cancer is a leading cause of death among women. The endocervical adenocarcinoma (ECA) represents an aggressive and metastatic type of cancer with no effective treatment options currently available. We evaluated the antitumoral and anti-migratory effects of hypericin (HYP) encapsulated on Pluronic F127 (F127/HYP) photodynamic therapy (PDT) against a human cell line derived from invasive cervical adenocarcinoma (HeLa) compared to a human epithelial cell line (HaCaT). The phototoxicity and cytotoxicity of F127/HYP were evaluated by the following assays: colorimetric assay, MTT, cellular morphological changes by microscopy and long-term cytotoxicity by clonogenic assay. In addition, we performed fluorescence microscopy to analyze cell uptake and subcellular distribution of F127/HYP, cell death pathway and reactive oxygen species (ROS) production. The PDT mechanism was determined with sodium azide and D-mannitol and cell migration by wound-healing assay. The treatment with F127/HYP promoted a phototoxic result in the HeLa cells in a dose-dependent and selective form. Internalization of F127/HYP was observed mainly in the mitochondria, causing cell death by necrosis and ROS production especially by the type II PDT mechanism. Furthermore, F127/HYP reduced the long-term proliferation and migration capacity of HeLa cells. Overall, our results indicate a potentially application of F127/HYP micelles as a novel approach for PDT with HYP delivery to more specifically treat ECA.

Abstract Objective To analyze the factors associated with Events Supposedly Attributable to Vaccination or Immunization for SARS-CoV-2 among older adults. Method Census, descriptive and retrospective study, carried out in Teresina, Piauí and approved by the Research Ethics Committee. A total of 51 elderly participated, who received at least one dose of the vaccine against COVID-19 and who presented or not a reported event between February and September 2021. Results 76.5% of the older adults received the AstraZeneca vaccine in the 1st dose. The mean occurrence of events was 3.45. As for severity, 82.4% were classified as not severe; 17.6% were severe, of which 66.7% resulted in hospitalization, 22.2% in death and 11.1% in permanent disability. The most frequent events were related to the musculoskeletal system, followed by headache, related to the neurological and digestive system. There was a statistically significant association of the event related to the respiratory system with age group and of the immunization error with gender. Conclusion and implications for practice Although events supposedly attributable to vaccination/immunization in older adults have been observed, it is noted that they are within the expected range, with their behavior being of a not severe, low-risk type for this group, in addition to being ensured the benefits when compared to the risks.

Resumen Objetivo Analizar factores asociados a los Eventos Supuestamente Atribuibles a la Vacunación o Inmunización para el SARS-CoV-2 en adultos mayores. Método Estudio censal, descriptivo y retrospectivo, realizado en Teresina, Piauí, y aprobado por el Comité de Ética en Investigación. Participaron 51 personas mayores, que recibieron al menos una dosis de vacuna contra la COVID-19 y que presentaron o no evento informado entre febrero y septiembre de 2021. Resultados El 76,5% del grupo recibió la vacuna AstraZeneca, en la 1ª dosis. La media de ocurrencia de eventos fue de 3,45. En cuanto a la gravedad, el 82,4% se clasificó como no grave; el 17,6% fueron graves, de los cuales el 66,7% resultaron en hospitalización, 22,2% en muerte y 11,1% en invalidez permanente. Los eventos más frecuentes estuvieron relacionados con el sistema musculoesquelético, seguido de cefalea, relacionada con el sistema neurológico y digestivo. Hubo asociación estadísticamente significativa, relacionando el sistema respiratorio con el grupo etario y el error de inmunización al género. Conclusión e implicaciones para la práctica Se observaron eventos supuestamente atribuibles a la vacunación/inmunización en mayores, que está dentro de lo esperado, con un comportamiento no grave y de bajo riesgo, además que los beneficios se superponen a los riesgos.

Resumo Objetivo Analisar os fatores associados aos Eventos Supostamente Atribuíveis à Vacinação ou Imunização para SARS-CoV-2 entre idosos. Método Estudo censitário, descritivo e retrospectivo, realizado em Teresina, Piauí e aprovado pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa. Participaram 51 idosos que receberam, pelo menos, uma dose de vacina contra COVID-19 e que apresentaram ou não evento notificado entre fevereiro a setembro de 2021. Resultados 76,5% dos idosos receberam a vacina AstraZeneca na 1a dose. A média de ocorrência dos eventos foi de 3,45. Quanto à gravidade, 82,4% foram classificados como não graves; 17,6% graves, dos quais 66,7% resultaram em hospitalização, 22,2% em óbito e 11,1% em incapacidade permanente. Eventos mais frequentes estiveram relacionados ao sistema musculoesquelético, seguidos de cefaleia, relacionados ao sistema neurológico e digestivo. Observou-se associação estatisticamente significativa do evento relacionado ao sistema respiratório com faixa etária e do erro de imunização com o gênero. Conclusão e implicações para a prática Apesar de ser observado eventos supostamente atribuíveis à vacinação/imunização em idosos, nota-se que estão dentro do esperado, sendo seu comportamento com tipologia não grave e de baixo risco para este grupo, além de assegurados os benefícios frente aos riscos.

ABSTRACT The article analyzes aspects of the change in the legal nature of private healthcare from “for-profit” to “non-profit” entities. It is an exploratory research, supported by the policy analysis framework, focusing on secondary data from the Cadastro Nacional de Estabelecimentos de Saúde (National Registry of Health Facilities – CNES) from 2012 to 2020 and a case study. The results show an increase in these entities in all regions of the country and evidence that they behave like profit-oriented entities. The change in legal nature hides a broader process of implicit commodification of healthcare services, encouraged by state policies and related to exemptions provided by law.

RESUMO O artigo analisa aspectos da mudança da natureza jurídica de instituições privadas de assistência à saúde, de estabelecimentos “com” para “sem” fins lucrativos. Trata-se de uma pesquisa exploratória, apoiada no referencial de análise de políticas, com foco em dados secundários, provenientes do Sistema de Cadastro Nacional de Estabelecimentos de Saúde (SCNES), de 2012 a 2020, e estudo de caso. Os resultados apresentam aumento dessas entidades em todas as regiões do país e evidências de que se comportam como estabelecimentos com fins lucrativos. A mudança de natureza jurídica oculta um processo mais amplo de mercantilização implícita dos serviços de saúde, incentivado por políticas estatais e relacionado às isenções previstas em lei.

Abstract This study aimed to apply selection indexes in situations in which F2 populations and their parents are evaluated simultaneously in field trials to predict population genotypic values and selecting the best populations. Fifteen F2 soybean populations were evaluated for number of days to flowering and to maturity and grain yield. The data was analyzed using restricted maximum likelihood/best linear unbiased prediction (REML/BLUP) to obtain genotypic effects, variance components and accuracies. Four selection methods were compared: genotypic values of the F2 populations (gF2), combined index with the mean genotypic value of parents and F2 population (Ia) and two indexes that add (to gF2 and to Ia) and consider genetic variability within populations (Ib and Ic). The index Ia presented a result similar to that obtained with the gF2 selection method. Selection indexes (Ib and Ic) based on several sources of information were more efficient than selection based on gF2 values only.
