Abstract Analytical and computational calibrations and subsequent parametric analyses were performed on the four UHPFRC beams under flexure to estimate their actual shear strength. The computational models were calibrated using different values for the CDP parameters, and a finite element mesh sensitivity study was conducted. These models predicted the experimental behavior satisfactorily, and the analytical model was also able to find the beams’ failure loads and proved to be a simple tool to estimate their behavior. The parametric analysis showed that the current beams did not require stirrups once the UHPFRC had high shear strength, and the maximum shear capacity was accurately determined.

Abstract Food processing allows a wide variation in the final quality of the product, which directly depends on the quality of the raw material used, the processing conditions, storage and commercialization. Salting, for example, is one of the oldest methods used to preserve meat. In the meat industry, the incorporation of salts into products is commonly used to improve dietary functionality and ensure food safety. Thus, the objective of this review was to understand that the discarded matrix meat can be used to make jerky meat, adding value to the final product. The processing of jerked beef is based on the osmotic dehydration process in counter flow, promoted by the penetration of salt with consequent exit of water from the inter and extra fibrillar compartments to the surface, with subsequent drying. At the same time, myosin denaturation occurs as a result of high temperatures, as well as myoglobin oxidation, promoted by salt, increasing the susceptibility to protein oxidation. The use of discarded animal meat to make jerky adds value to the by-product, improving sensory quality.

Abstract Digital games are considered an environment of male privilege that promotes heteronormative standard of masculinity. Based on the Theory of Social Representations, we seek to identify, based on organizing principles, the forms of expression and anchorages processes related to homophobia within the speeches of the fans of the game League of Legends (LoL), on Facebook. A total of 470 comments published in 2017 were selected to be then analyzed with support from IRAMUTEQ software (lexicometric analysis software), which resulted in four classes: “Debate on the sexuality of champions” (14.9%), “Representativeness in LoL” (29.8%), “Confrontation between the stories of Varus” (39%), and “Business strategy” (16.2%). The results show intergroup conflict that is mediated by the process of symbolic threat: some comments, which are mostly from heterosexual men, carry aspects of covert prejudice to perpetuate the maintenance of heteronormative standards, whereas other comments reinforce the importance of representing diversity in digital games.

Resumen Los juegos digitales son un entorno de privilegio masculino que enaltece el estándar heteronormativo de la masculinidad. Con base en la Teoría de las Representaciones Sociales, buscamos identificar las formas de expresión y anclaje de la homofobia a partir de principios organizativos en los discursos de aficionados del juego League of Legends (LoL) en la red social Facebook. Se seleccionaron 470 comentarios publicados en 2017, que pasaron por el análisis en IRAMUTEQ (software de análisis lexicométrico) mediante una clasificación jerárquica descendiente la cual dio como resultado cuatro clases: “Debate sobre la sexualidad de campeones” (14,9%), “Representatividad en LoL” (29,8%), “Confrontación entre las historias de Varus” (39%) y “Estrategia comercial” (16,2%). Los resultados muestran un conflicto intergrupal, mediado por la amenaza simbólica; mientras que algunos comentarios, hechos en su mayoría por hombres heterosexuales, utilizan prejuicios sutiles para perpetuar el mantenimiento de la heteronormatividad, otros comentarios refuerzan la importancia de representar la diversidad en los juegos digitales.

Resumo Os jogos digitais são considerados um ambiente de privilégio masculino que exalta o padrão heteronormativo de masculinidade. A partir da Teoria das Representações Sociais, buscamos identificar as diferentes formas de expressão e ancoragens da homofobia a partir de princípios organizadores, nos discursos dos fãs do jogo League of Legends (LoL) na rede social Facebook. Foram selecionados 470 comentários publicados em 2017, os quais foram analisados com apoio do Iramuteq (software de análise lexicométrica) por meio de uma classificação hierárquica descendente, resultando em quatro classes: “Debate sobre a sexualidade dos campeões” (14,9%), “Representatividade no LoL” (29,8%), “Confronto entre as histórias de Varus” (39%), e “Estratégia empresarial” (16,2%). Os resultados evidenciam a existência de um conflito intergrupal, mediado pelo processo de ameaça simbólica: enquanto alguns comentários, realizados majoritariamente por homens heterossexuais, se utilizam do preconceito sutil para perpetuar a manutenção da heteronormatividade, outros comentários reforçam a importância da representação da diversidade nos jogos digitais.

ABSTRACT Glued Laminated Timber technology allows the construction of wooden structural components bonded with adhesive. This technology enables the creation of large-scale structures, with technological control over the material, and in a competitive industrial system. Focusing on the structural application of wood, the present study assessed the strength of bonded joints with different angles between the fibers of Pinus sp. wood, joined with a two-component polyurethane adhesive based on vegetable oils. The bonded joints were fabricated with angles of 0°, 10°, 20°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 70°, 80°, and 90°, and were evaluated for shear strength under compression and torsion. When regression analysis was performed, shear compression values showed compliance with Hankinson’s equation, with an R2 value close to 0.76. However, shear torsion results yielded R2 values near 0.17. Thus, Hankinson’s equation was unsuitable as an estimator for torsional shear strength values. The specimens showed a different mechanical response to shear when tested in compression compared to those tested in torsion.

RESUMO A tecnologia da Madeira Lamelada Colada permite a execução de peças estruturais em madeira unidas com adesivo. Com o emprego desta tecnologia é possível gerar estruturas de grande porte, com controle tecnológico do material e em sistema industrial competitivo. Com ênfase ao emprego estrutural da madeira, o presente trabalho avaliou a resistência de juntas coladas com diferentes ângulos entre as fibras da madeira de Pinus sp. e unidas com o adesivo poliuretano bicomponente a base de óleos vegetais. As juntas coladas foram confeccionadas com a formação dos ângulos de 0°, 10°, 20º, 30°, 45°, 60°, 70°, 80º e 90° e avaliadas em ruptura por esforço de cisalhamento à compressão e cisalhamento à torção. Quando realizada a análise de regressão, os valores de cisalhamento à compressão apresentaram adequação com a fórmula de Hankinson, apresentando valor de R2 próximo a 0,76. Porém, os resultados de cisalhamento sob torção apresentaram valores de R2 próximos a 0,17. Desta maneira, a fórmula de Hankinson não se mostrou propícia como estimadora dos valores de resistência para o cisalhamento à torção. Os corpos de prova apresentaram resposta mecânica diferente ao cisalhamento quando ensaiados à compressão comparativamente aos ensaiados à torção.

Resumo As lesões traumáticas da aorta (LTA) torácica estão associadas a altas taxas de morbimortalidade. São classificadas de acordo com a extensão do dano, e a angiotomografia computadorizada tem as maiores sensibilidade e especificidade para identificar o grau de lesão e potenciais lesões associadas. As estratégias terapêuticas para LTA são baseadas no tipo de lesão, na extensão e nas lesões associadas. Pode auxiliar na definição de conduta também o grau de estabilidade do paciente, podendo ser manejo cirúrgico convencional, endovascular (TEVAR) ou conservador em casos selecionados. Entre os pacientes com anatomia vascular adequada, a cirurgia endovascular está associada a melhor sobrevida e a menos riscos. O objetivo deste artigo foi descrever uma série de quatro casos acompanhados em serviço terciário, em um estado com poucos serviços de alta complexidade. Abstract Traumatic thoracic aortic injuries (TTAI) are associated with high rates of morbidity and mortality. They are classified according to the extent of damage and computed tomography angiography has the highest sensitivity and specificity for identifying the degree of injury and potential associated lesions. Treatment strategies for TTAI are based on the type and extent of injury and associated lesions. The patient’s degree of stability can also help to define the choice of treatment, which can be conventional or endovascular surgery (EVAR) or even conservative management in selected cases. Among patients with adequate vascular anatomy, endovascular surgery is associated with better survival and fewer risks. The objective of this article is to describe a series of four cases followed up at a tertiary service in a Brazilian state that has few centers that provide high complexity care. Endovascular therapy was employed as the preferred method. All four patients had favorable outcomes, with no complications up to discharge, and are currently in outpatient follow-up. Resumo Objetivos: avaliar a mortalidade materna de janeiro de 2019 a janeiro de 2020 no estado do Ceará. Métodos: trata-se de um estudo ecológico descritivo e retrospectivo. A coleta de dados foi realizada no período outubro a novembro de 2020, considerando o intervalo temporal de janeiro de 2019 a janeiro de 2020, através das informações registradas em banco de dados de domínio público do estado do Ceará. As variáveis consideradas para delinear o perfil dos óbitos maternos foram: faixa etária, as causas, estado civil, cor/raça e escolaridade. A análise dos dados ocorreu pela estatística descritiva por distribuição de frequências e foi apresentada por meio de tabelas. Resultados: foram registrados 135 óbitos maternos, considerando causas externas, diretas (mais prevalentes), indiretas e tardias. A razão de mortalidade materna no Ceará foi de 60.43%, cujo perfil dos óbitos foi caracterizado por mulheres com nível superior incompleto (41.5%), pardas (80%), na faixa etária de 20-29 anos (43%) e solteiras (66.7%). Conclusão: as informações apresentadas neste estudo são de extrema relevância, pois possibilitam a compreensão de uma população-chave, as mulheres, além de auxiliar no delineamento de estratégias para o enfrentamento da mortalidade materna.

Abstract Objectives: evaluate maternal mortality from January 2019 to January 2020 in the state of Ceará. Methods: this is a descriptive and retrospective ecological study. Data collection was carried out from October to November 2020, considering the time interval from January 2019 to January 2020, through information registered in a public domain database in the State of Ceará, Brazil. The variables considered to outline the profile of maternal deaths were: age group, causes, marital status, color/race and education. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics by frequency distribution and presented through tables. Results: 135 maternal deaths were registered, considering external, direct (most prevalent), indirect and late causes. The maternal mortality ratio in Ceará was 60.43%, whose profile of deaths was characterized by women with incomplete higher education (41.5%), brown (80%), in their 20-29 years (43%) and single (66.7%). Conclusion: the information in this study is extremely importance, as it allows the understanding of a key population, women, in addition to assisting in the design of strategies for coping with maternal mortality.

SUMMARY: Azygos lobe is one of the most common pulmonary variations. Although numerous studies discuss to the clinical and surgical implications of anatomical variations, there are few investigations about this topic. The aim of this study was to discuss the anatomy of the pulmonary azygos lobe and its possible clinical and surgical correlations. In this systematic review, a total of 48 results were found between 1968 and 2020. After application of eligibility criteria, 16 articles were included to analysis. Our results showed there were no reports of surgery complications in azygos lobe presence. In all articles that described the anatomical variation, the pulmonary azygos lobe received tertiary segmental branches. Among the surgical implications in the presence of the azygos lobe, complications are of low complexity. It is necessary to teach about this anatomical variation in medical schools in cadavers. Emphasizing the obvious morphological modifications in the superior mediastinum.

RESUMEN: El lóbulo ácigos es una de las variaciones pulmonares más comunes. Aunque numerosos estudios discuten las implicaciones clínicas y quirúrgicas de las variaciones anatómicas, existen pocas investigaciones sobre este tema. El objetivo de este estudio fue discutir la anatomía del lóbulo ácigos pulmonar y sus posibles correlaciones clínicas y quirúrgicas. En esta revisión sistemática se encontraron un total de 48 resultados entre los años 1968 y 2020. Después de la aplicación de los criterios de elegibilidad, 16 artículos fueron incluidos para análisis. Nuestros resultados mostraron que no hubo informes de complicaciones quirúrgicas en presencia del lóbulo ácigos. En todos los artículos que describieron la variación anatómica, el lóbulo ácigos pulmonar recibió ramas segmentarias terciarias. Dentro de las implicaciones quirúrgicas en presencia del lóbulo ácigos, las complicaciones son de baja complejidad. En las escuelas de medicina es necesaria la enseñanza en cadáveres de esta variación anatómica, destacando las evidentes modificaciones morfológicas en el mediastino superior.

RESUMO Objetivo: as recomendações das decisões em Tumor Board (TB) deveriam ser acompanhadas para identificar barreiras que possam interferir na execução do melhor cuidado para o paciente decidido previamente. O objetivo do estudo é avaliar se a decisão de conduta em TB foi realizada em pacientes com tumores pancreáticos, o status de vida 90 dias após TB e analisar os motivos pelos quais a conduta não foi realizada. Métodos: estudo retrospectivo com pacientes com tumores de pâncreas, avaliados entre 2017 a 2019. Dados epidemiológicos, se a conduta de TB foi realizada, o motivo da não realização, o status de vida em 90 dias após decisão de TB e quantas vezes cada paciente foi discutido em reunião foram coletados. As variáveis categóricas foram comparadas pelo teste de qui-quadrado; variáveis numéricas foram apresentadas como médias e desvio padrão. Resultados: 111 casos, 95 pacientes, 86 (90,5%) com diagnóstico de câncer. Após 90 dias de TB, 83 pacientes (87,37%) permaneceram vivos, 9 pacientes (9,47%) faleceram e 3 (3,16%) perderam o seguimento. A conduta do TB não foi realizada em 12 (10,8%) dos casos e os motivos foram: 25% (3) por perda de seguimento, 8,33% (1) por recusa do paciente e 66,67% (8) devido à piora clínica. Os casos de pacientes com metástases tiveram menor execução de conduta de TB (p=0,006). Conclusões: a conduta do TB é realizada na maior parte dos casos e o motivo mais evidente para o não cumprimento das condutas é a piora clínica do paciente.

ABSTRACT Objective: the recommendations of the decisions made by the Tumor Board (TB) should be followed to identify barriers that may interfere with the execution of the previously decided, best care for the patient. The aim of this study is to assess whether the TB conduct decision was performed in patients with pancreatic tumors, their life status 90 days after the TB decision, and to analyze the reasons why the conduct was not performed. Methods: we conducted a retrospective study with patients with pancreas tumors, evaluated between 2017 and 2019. We collected data on epidemiological status, whether the TB procedure was performed, the reason for not performing it, life status 90 days after the TB decision, and how many times each patient was discussed at a meeting. We compared categorical variables using the chi square test, numerical variables were presented as means and standard deviation. Results: we studied 111 session cases, in 95 patients, 86 (90.5%) diagnosed with cancer. After 90 days of TB, 83 patients (87.37%) remained alive, 9 had (9.47%) died, and 3 (3.16%) were lost to follow-up. The TB decision was not observed in 12 (10.8%) cases and the reasons were: 25% (3) for loss of follow-up, 8.33% (1) for patient refusal, and 66.67% (8) due to clinical worsening. The cases of patients with metastases had a lower rate of TB conduct compliance (p=0.006). Conclusions: the TB conduct was performed in most cases and the most evident reason for non-compliance with the conducts is the patient’s clinical worsening.

Resumo O objetivo deste trabalho foi quantificar os teores de C das frações químicas e físicas da MOS em diferentes sistemas de manejo em um Argissolo textura arenosa. O estudo foi realizado em uma área de referência de Mata Nativa (MN) e três áreas manejadas: pastagem permanente (PP), sistema plantio direto (SPD) e área de Reserva Particular de Patrimônio Natural em processo de regeneração natural (RPPN). Foram coletadas amostras de solos das camadas de 0-0,05, 0,05-0,10 e 0,10-0,20 m. Foi determinado a densidade do solo (Ds) os teores de carbono orgânico total (COT) o fracionamento químico da MOS com determinação dos teores de C dos ácidos fúlvicos (AF), ácidos húmicos (AH) e humina (HUM), com posteriores cálculos das relações AH/AF, EA/HUM, estoque (EstC), fracionamento físico-granulométrico e determinação dos teores de C da matéria orgânica particulada (C-MOP) e índice de manejo de carbono (IMC). Observou-se maiores teores de COT para a área de MN, especialmente nas camadas de 0-0,05 e 0,05-0,10 m. Os teores de C-HUM predominam em relação aos teores de C-AH e C-AF. Os teores de C-AH e de C-HUM foram superiores em MN e SPD. A MN apresentou maiores teores de C-MOP em todas as camadas avaliadas. Para o C-MOM a área de SPD foi superior as demais áreas manejadas. As áreas manejadas apresentaram valores de EstMOP inferiores à MN. Nas duas primeiras camadas, a área de MN apresentou maiores EstMOM. As áreas manejadas apresentaram valores inferiores de IMC em relação a MN. A área de SPD demonstrou que, mesmo em sucessão, contribui para melhoria da fração orgânica do solo ao longo do tempo de adoção, se aproximando às condições da MN. Já as áreas de PP e RPPN evidenciaram que o manejo inadequado favorece na diminuição da qualidade edáfica.

Abstract This study quantified the C content of the chemical and physical fractions of SOM in different management systems in an Argisoil of sandy texture. The study was carried out in a reference area of Native Forest (NF), and in three managed areas: Permanent Pasture (PP), No-Tillage System (NTS) and an area of Private Natural Heritage Reserve (PNHR) in the process of natural regeneration. Soil samples were collected in the layers 0.0-0.05, 0.05-0.10 and 0.10-0.20 m. We assessed the soil density (Sd), total organic carbon (TOC) content, chemical fractionation of SOM with determination of the C contents of the fulvic acids (FA), humic acids (HA) and humin (HUM), with subsequent calculations of the HA/FA ratios, AE/HUM, stock (StockC), physical granulometric fractionation and determination of C contents of particulate organic matter (C-POM) and carbon management index (CMI). Higher TOC contents were observed for the NF area. The C-HA and C-HUM contents were higher in the NF and NTS. NF showed higher C-POM levels in all layers evaluated. For the C-MOM, the NTS area was superior to the other managed areas. The managed areas had lower StockPOM values than the NF. The managed areas had lower CMI values in relation to NF. The NTS area showed that, even in crop succession, it contributes to the improvement of the soil organic fraction over the adoption time. On the other hand, the areas of PP and PNHR showed that inadequate management favors the reduction of edaphic quality.

METHODS This scoping review included articles published between January 1, 2000, and August 31, 2020, retrieved by means of a bibliographic search carried out in the Medline, Scopus, Web of Science, and Lilacs databases. Studies reporting on the association between composite socioeconomic indicators and all-cause, or specific cause of death in any age group in different geographical areas were selected. The review summarized the measures constructed, their associations with the outcomes, and potential study limitations. RESULTS Of the 77 full texts that met the inclusion criteria, the study reviewed 24. The area level of composite socioeconomic indicators analyzed comprised municipalities (n = 6), districts (n = 5), census tracts (n = 4), state (n = 2), country (n = 2), and other areas (n = 5). Six studies used composite socioeconomic indicators such as the Human Development Index, Gross Domestic Product, and the Gini Index; the remaining 18 papers created their own socioeconomic measures based on sociodemographic and health indicators. Socioeconomic status was inversely associated with higher rates of all-cause mortality, external cause mortality, suicide, homicide, fetal and infant mortality, respiratory and circulatory diseases, stroke, infectious and parasitic diseases, malnutrition, gastroenteritis, and oropharyngeal cancer. Higher mortality rates due to colorectal cancer, leukemia, a general group of neoplasms, traffic accident, and suicide, in turn, were observed in less deprived areas and/or those with more significant socioeconomic development. Underreporting of death and differences in mortality coverage in Brazilian areas were cited as the main limitation. CONCLUSIONS Studies analyzed mortality inequalities in different geographical areas by means of composite socioeconomic indicators, showing that the association directions vary according to the mortality outcome. But studies on all-cause mortality and at the census tract level remain scarce. The results may guide the development of new composite socioeconomic indicators for use in mortality inequality analysis.

SUMMARY OBJECTIVE: The aim was to investigate the acute effect of kinesthetic motor imagery of the 2-minute walk test on hemodynamic and cardiopulmonary variables in patients with heart failure. METHODS: Twenty participants were recruited for the analysis of these variables before and after the execution and imagination of the 2-minute walk test, with the number of laps executed and imagined being recorded. RESULTS: The main results observed showed that (1) there was no difference in the number of laps executed and imagined (p=0.41), indicating that the participants actually imagined the test and (2) the motor imagery of the 2-minute walk test immediately increased (p<0.001) the heart and respiratory rates. CONCLUSION: The motor imagery seems to have acute effects on the cardiopulmonary anticipatory responses of a patient with heart failure.

RESUMO O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar a influência do nível de aptidão cardiorrespiratória (ACR) entre os métodos Equivalente Ventilatório (VEq) e V-slope para determinação do Limiar Ventilatório 1 (LV1). 22 homens corredores (32,9 ± 9,4 anos) foram divididos em dois grupos: G1 - grupo com menor aptidão cardiorrespiratória (ACR:VO2máx 40 a 51 ml·kg-1·min-1) e G2 - maior ACR (VO2máx 56,4 a 72 ml·kg-1·min-1), divididos pelo percentil 50. Foi aplicado um teste incremental cardiopulmonar para identificar o LV1 através dos métodos VEq e V-slope, comparando as seguintes variáveis: Frequência Cardíaca (FC), Consumo de Oxigênio (VO2) e velocidade. Para comparações entre FC, VO2 e velocidade (grupos vs. métodos) empregou-se ANOVA de duas vias. O tamanho do efeito foi calculado utilizando d’Cohen. Para verificar a confiabilidade e a concordância, foram aplicados o coeficiente de correlação intraclasse, coeficiente de variação, erro típico e Bland Altman. Não foram encontradas diferenças significativas (p < 0,05) entre métodos para G1 (VO2, FC e velocidade) e Bland Altman revelou boa concordância (diferença média: VO2 0,35ml·kg-1·min-1; FC 2,58bpm; velocidade 0,33km·h-1). Contudo, G2 apresentou diferenças estatísticas entre métodos (VO2 e velocidade) e maior diferença média (VO2 2,68ml·kg-1·min-1; FC 6,87 bpm; velocidade 0,88km·h-1). Tamanho de efeito pequeno foi encontrado no G1 entre os métodos (VO2: 0,06; velocidade: 0,20; FC: 0,14) e efeitos Pequenos e moderados foram encontrados no G2 entre os métodos (VO2: 0,39; velocidade: 0,43; FC: 0,51). Conclui-se que corredores com menor ACR apresentam melhor concordância para os métodos V-slope e VEq em comparação aqueles com maior ACR.

ABSTRACT We aimed to analyze the influence of cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF) on ventilatory threshold identification (VT1) using the Ventilatory Equivalents (VEq) and V-slope methods. Twenty-two male runners (32.9 ± 9.4 years) were divided into two groups: G1 - group with less cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF: VO2max 40 to 51 ml·kg-1·min-1) and G2 - higher CRF (G1; VO2max ?56,4 to 72 ml·kg-1·min-1) divided by the 50th percentile. An incremental cardiopulmonary exercise test was applied to identify VT1 using VEq and V-slope methods to compare heart rate (HR), oxygen consumption (VO2), and speed. Two-way ANOVA was used to compare HR, VO2, and speed (groups vs. methods). The Effect size was calculated using Cohen’s d. The intraclass correlation coefficient, variation coefficient, typical error, and Bland Altman were applied to verify reliability and agreement. No significant differences (p < 0.05) were found between methods for G1 (VO2, HR, and speed), and Bland Altman showed good agreement (mean difference: VO2 0.35ml·kg-1·min-1; HR 2.58bpm; speed 0.33km·h-1). However, G2 presented statistical differences between methods (VO2 and speed) and a more significant mean difference (VO2 2.68ml·kg-1·min-1; HR 6.87 bpm; speed 0.88km·h-1). The small effect size was found in G1 between methods (VO2: 0.06; speed: 0.20; HR: 0.14), and small and moderate effects were found in G2 between methods (VO2: 0.39; speed: 0.43; HR: 0.51). In conclusion, runners with lower CRF have a better agreement for the V-slope and VEq methods than those with a higher CRF.

RESUMO Objetivo: caracterizar impactos do distanciamento social ocasionado pela pandemia da doença do Coronavírus na vida de pessoas com Diabetes Mellitus. Método: estudo descritivo quantitativo, realizado com 102 portadores de Diabetes Mellitus, por meio de formulário virtual, abordando questões sociodemográficas, de autocuidado e de saúde mental, no Brasil no período de maio a junho de 2020. A associação entre as variáveis foi avaliada pelo teste qui-quadrado (p<0,05). Resultados: dos 45 (44,11%) que disseram se alimentar mal, 33 (32,35%) relataram mudanças de peso (p=0,008); com relação à saúde mental, 59 (57,84%) expuseram condições regulares ou ruins; com relação às consultas, 84 indivíduos (82,75%) alegaram interrupção ou irregularidade; dos 58 (56,86%) que declararam prejuízos socioeconômicos, 37 (36,27%) apresentaram dificuldades na adesão de insumos (p<0,000). Conclusão: medidas multiprofissionais devem ser focadas nos fatores que influenciam negativamente o controle metabólico, assim como em estabelecer atendimento a distância, para minimizar a diminuição da atenção assistencial.

ABSTRACT Objective: to characterize the impacts of social distancing caused by the Coronavirus disease pandemic on the lives of people with Diabetes Mellitus. Method: a descriptive study with a quantitative approach, carried out in Brazil from May to June 2020 with 102 patients with Diabetes Mellitus, through a virtual form, addressing sociodemographic, self-care and mental health issues. The association between the variables was assessed using the chi-square test (p<0.05). Results: of the 45 (44.11%) individuals who stated eating poorly, 33 (32.35%) reported weight changes (p=0.008); in relation to mental health, 59 (57.84%) presented regular or bad conditions; with regard to consultations, 84 individuals (82.75%) indicated interruption or irregularity; of the 58 (56.86%) who stated socioeconomic losses, 37 (36.27%) had difficulties in adherence to inputs (p<0.000). Conclusion: multi-professional measures must be focused on the factors that exert a negative influence on metabolic control, as well as on establishing remote care, to minimize the reduction in assistance.

RESUMEN Objetivo: caracterizar los impactos del distanciamiento social provocado por la pandemia de la enfermedad por Coronavirus en la vida de las personas con Diabetes Mellitus. Método: estudio descriptivo cuantitativo, realizado con 102 pacientes con Diabetes Mellitus, a través de un formulario virtual, con el abordaje de temas sociodemográficos, de autocuidado y de salud mental, en Brasil de mayo a junio de 2020. La asociación entre variables fue evaluada por la prueba de chi-cuadrado (p<0,05). Resultados: de los 45 (44,11%) que admitieron comer mal, 33 (32,35%) reportaron cambios de peso (p=0,008); con respecto a la salud mental, 59 (57,84%) expusieron condiciones regulares o malas; En cuanto a las consultas, 84 personas (82,75%) alegaron interrupción o irregularidad; de los 58 (56,86%) que declararon pérdidas socioeconómicas, 37 (36,27%) tuvieron dificultades en la adhesión de insumos (p<0,000). Conclusión: las medidas multiprofesionales deben centrarse en los factores que influyen negativamente en el control metabólico, así como en el establecimiento de cuidados a distancia, para minimizar la disminución de la atención asistencial.

resumo Este estudo objetivou atualizar a revisão do documento Report Card do Brasil, sobre a prevalência de atividade física (AF) global entre crianças e adolescentes brasileiros. A revisão sistemática incluiu uma busca eletrônica em 8 bases de dados (PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, LILACS, SPORTDiscus, BIREME, Scielo e Google Scholar) e uma busca manual nas referências de estudos recuperados. Estudos publicados em 2018 e 2019 e que avaliaram a AF global entre jovens brasileiros foram incluídos na atualização. Uma abordagem narrativa em relação aos resultados foi adotada. A busca inicial atingiu 1892 títulos potencialmente relevantes (1244 títulos após análise duplicada); 62 (47 estudos diferentes) preencheram todos os critérios de inclusão. A maioria dos estudos da atualização foi realizada nas regiões Sul (40.4%) e Sudeste (25.5%) do Brasil. Seis estudos trouxeram dados sobre levantamentos nacionais (12,8%), e um estudo incluiu crianças pré-escolares (< 5 anos de idade). Dez estudos realizaram a medida objetiva de AF (acelerômetros ou pedômetros). Nos estudos da atualização, a proporção geral de jovens que eram fisicamente ativos variou de 9,8% a 79,6%. Três pesquisas nacionais relataram a prevalência de estudantes fisicamente ativos, variando de 18,4% a 78,8%. Observou-se um avanço nos levantamentos com medidas objetivas de AF e com crianças menores de 12 anos de idade com os estudos de 2018 e 2019. Contudo, lacunas importantes de pesquisa (p.ex., variações na mensuração da AF global até no mesmo estudo) devem ser consideradas para aprimorar o monitoramento e a avaliação da AF global no Brasil.

abstract This study aimed to update the review of Brazil’s Report Card on the prevalence of global physical activity (PA) among Brazilian children and adolescents. This systematic review included an electronic search of eight databases (PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, LILACS, SPORTDiscus, BIREME, Scielo, and Google Scholar) and a manual search of the references of retrieved studies. Studies published in 2018 and 2019 that assessed global PA among Brazilian youth were included. A narrative approach to the results was adopted. The initial search retrieved 1,892 potentially relevant titles (1,244 titles after duplicate analysis), of which 62 (47 different studies) met all the inclusion criteria. Most updated studies were carried out in Southern (40.4%) and Southeastern (25.5%) Brazil. Six studies provided data from national surveys (12.8%), and one study included preschool children (< 5 years old). Ten studies objectively measured PA (accelerometer or pedometer devices). In the updated studies, the overall proportion of young people who were physically active ranged from 9.8% to 79.6%. Three national surveys reported the prevalence of physically active students, ranging from 18.4% to 78.8%. There was an increase of surveys that objectively measured PA and with children under 12 years of age in the 2018 and 2019 studies. However, important research gaps (e.g., variations in the measurement of global PA), even in the same study, should be considered to improve the monitoring and evaluation of global PA in Brazil.
