Abstract Background: Promoting physical contact, especially skin-to-skin contact, immediately or as soon as possible in preterm newborns is still a challenge. Objective: To determine the prevalence of physical contact between mothers and preterm newborns at birth and to analyze the association between the type of physical contact between them in the delivery room and the prevalence of exclusive breastfeeding at hospital discharge. Methodology: Cross-sectional study with a nonprobability sample of 78 mothers and 79 preterm newborns. Data were collected from July to November 2017, through interviews and medical records, and analyzed through descriptive statistics and Poisson Regression with robust variance. Results: The prevalence of any type of physical contact in the delivery room was 51.9%, without statistical difference between the type of physical contact between mothers and infants and exclusive breastfeeding at discharge. Conclusion: Physical contact by touching and kissing after birth did not influence the prevalence of exclusive breastfeeding at hospital discharge.

Resumen Marco contextual: Promover el contacto físico, especialmente piel con piel, de forma inmediata o precoz en recién nacidos prematuros sigue siendo un desafío. Objetivo: Comprobar la prevalencia del contacto físico entre la madre y el recién nacido prematuro en el momento del nacimiento y asociar el tipo de contacto físico realizado por el binomio en la sala de partos con la prevalencia de la lactancia materna exclusiva en el momento del alta hospitalaria. Metodología: Estudio transversal con una muestra no probabilística de 78 madres y 79 recién nacidos prematuros. La recogida de datos se realizó de julio a noviembre de 2017, mediante entrevista y consulta en antecedentes clínicos, y los datos se analizaron según la estadística descriptiva y la regresión de Poisson con varianza robusta. Resultados: La prevalencia de cualquier tipo de contacto físico realizado en la sala de partos fue del 51,9%, sin diferencias estadísticas entre el tipo de contacto físico realizado entre la madre y el bebé, y la lactancia materna exclusiva en el momento del alta. Conclusión: El contacto físico mediante caricias y besos durante el parto no influyó en la prevalencia de la lactancia materna exclusiva en el momento del alta hospitalaria.

Resumo Enquadramento: Promover o contacto físico, especialmente o pele a pele, de forma imediata ou precoce em recém-nascidos prematuros é ainda um desafio. Objetivo: Verificar a prevalência de contacto físico entre mãe e recém-nascido prematuro no nascimento e associar o tipo de contacto físico realizado pelo binómio na sala de parto com a prevalência do aleitamento materno exclusivo na alta hospitalar. Metodologia: Estudo transversal com amostra não probabilística de 78 mães e 79 prematuros. A colheita de dados foi efetuada de julho a novembro de 2017, por meio de entrevista e consulta em prontuário e os dados foram analisados conforme a estatística descritiva e Regressão de Poisson com variância robusta. Resultados: A prevalência de qualquer tipo de contacto físico realizado na sala de parto foi de 51,9%, sem diferença estatística entre o tipo de contacto físico realizado entre mãe e bebé com o aleitamento materno exclusivo na alta. Conclusão: O contacto físico pelo toque e beijo no momento do parto não influenciou na prevalência de aleitamento materno exclusivo na alta hospitalar.

Abstract This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to analyze the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on dental trauma patient attendance. The study was registered in the PROSPERO system, using the CRD42021288398 protocol. Searching was performed in PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Embase, Lilacs, and OpenGrey databases, using the following keywords: “Tooth injuries,” “Dental trauma,” “Traumatic Dental injury,” and “COVID-19". We included observational studies evaluating dental trauma in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Quality assessment was performed using the Joanna Briggs Institute Critical Appraisal Checklist for Cross-Sectional Studies. Meta-analysis was performed in RevMan 5.4 software with Odds Ratios as a pooled measure of effect, with a 95% confidence interval, and using random-effects modeling. After applying the eligibility criteria, 32 studies were included for qualitative analysis, in which 10 were used to assess the frequency of dental trauma diagnoses in dental emergencies. Despite the decrease of visits during COVID-19, the analysis revealed no difference between the pandemic and pre-pandemic periods. Regarding the type of dental trauma, two of the studies revealed no differences for the periods before and during the pandemic. This study revealed that the COVID-19 pandemic has not impacted the frequency or type of dental trauma compared to previous periods.

ABSTRACT BACKGROUND: Asthma is a chronic airway disease that affects 339 million people worldwide. It is a heterogeneous disease with different risks, including in family environments, where intimate partner violence occurs. OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to investigate the possible association between psychosocial factors and asthma control in adults exposed to intimate partner violence. DESIGN AND SETTING: This cross-sectional study was conducted at a Brazilian public higher education institution in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. METHODS: The study population consisted of adults clinically diagnosed with severe asthma and those with mild/moderate asthma identified at an asthma referral outpatient clinic. The sample comprised 492 participants who underwent clinical evaluation and completed questionnaires to assess asthma control, depression, stress, and resilience. The Conflict Tactics Scale, which measures tactics for managing marital conflicts, was used to estimate the level of intimate partner violence. RESULTS: Of the 492 participants, 76.2% were women and 91% self-referenced color black/brown, 37.8% reported low family income, 87.4% reported low education level, 71.7% reported high stress, 32.5% reported low resilience, 18.5% reported moderate or severe depression, 83.3% reported resolute negotiation, 49.4% reported major psychological aggression, 19.6% reported major physical aggression, 15.5% reported major injury, and 7.3% reported major sexual coercion. Regression analysis revealed that sex was an effect modifier. CONCLUSION: Women in situations of social vulnerability, with low income and poor education, with depression, severe asthma, and those who used aggression to resolve marital conflicts had a profile associated with a lack of asthma control.

BACKGROUND Chikungunya is a mosquito-borne virus that has been causing large outbreaks in the Americas since 2014. In Brazil, Asian-Caribbean (AC) and East-Central-South-African (ECSA) genotypes have been detected and lead to large outbreaks in several Brazilian states. In Rio Grande do Sul (RS), the southernmost state of Brazil, the first cases were reported in 2016. OBJECTIVES AND METHODS We employed genome sequencing and epidemiological investigation to characterise the Chikungunya fever (CHIKF) burden in RS between 2017-2021. FINDINGS We detected an increasing CHIKF burden linked to travel associated introductions and communitary transmission of distinct lineages of the ECSA genotype during this period. MAIN CONCLUSIONS Until 2020, CHIKV introductions were most travel associated and transmission was limited. Then, in 2021, the largest outbreak occurred in the state associated with the introduction of a new ECSA lineage. CHIKV outbreaks are likely to occur in the near future due to abundant competent vectors and a susceptible population, exposing more than 11 million inhabitants to an increasing infection risk.

Aim To compare the profile and overall survival of young adults and elderly people diagnosed with SCC. Methods A retrospective study was carried out at a High Complexity Oncology Unit, between 2010 and 2016. A descriptive analysis, a bivariate analysis using the chi-square and Fisher’s exact test and the Kaplan-Meier estimator were performed. The predictor variables were tested using the log-rank test and those with statistical significance and the literature were maintained for the Cox regression model. Results 282 cases of SCC were recorded, with only 12.4% diagnosed in young adults. The profile was similar between groups, with the majority of cases of the disease occurring in males, smokers and alcohol consumers. The lesions predominantly located on the tongue and were diagnosed in an advanced stage of the disease, resulting in 35.7% of deaths. The median survival time was 30 months in the elderly and 31 months in young people. In the multivariate analysis, age was not statistically significant, only staging and treatment were predictors of reduced overall survival. Conclusion Tumor staging, and treatment were prognostic factors for the disease.

Resumen Introducción: El trauma es la segunda causa de mortalidad y la sexta de hospitalización en el país, siendo la violencia, los accidentes y las caídas las más prevalentes. Sin embargo, el país está experimentando reflejos de una pandemia de COVID-19, junto a una falta de estudios sobre el trauma, así como sobre la atención clínica. Objetivo: Analizar las características clínicas y epidemiológicas del trauma junto a la violencia, accidentes y caídas entre los años 2019, 2020 y 2021, considerados antes y durante la pandemia COVID-19. Materiales y métodos: Estudio de cohorte retrospectivo, con adultos de 25 a 55 años, que sufrieron trauma relacionado con violencia, caídas y otros accidentes, en el período comprendido entre marzo y junio de 2019, 2020 y 2021, en la ciudad de São Paulo. Las encuestas de datos fueron realizadas por el sistema TABNET, por el Departamento Municipal de Salud. Dentro de este sistema, la búsqueda se realizó a través del Sistema de Información para la Vigilancia de Accidentes, de la Coordinación de Vigilancia en Salud, en el cual las situaciones de violencia fueron notificadas y registradas por el Sistema Nacional de Información de Enfermedades Notificables. Posteriormente, se accedió al Sistema de Información de Vigilancia de Violencia y Accidentes, con enfoque en notificaciones y registro de caídas y otros accidentes. Resultados: El trauma siguió siendo más prevalente para los hombres, con educación primaria completa y raza predominantemente entre blancos y morenos. Al analizar los diferentes tipos de violencia: física, tortura y sexual, hubo mayores porcentajes de prevalencia durante el año 2019, período prepandémico de COVID-19, a excepción de la violencia psicológica / moral, que fue mayor en 2021. Nótese que los diferentes mecanismos de violencia fueron significativamente más prevalentes en 2019, así como las diferentes causas de violencia, caídas y traumatismos automovilísticos que involucran a peatones, ocupantes, conductores y pasajeros. La atención ambulatoria confirmó la tendencia de superioridad en el período prepandémico, sin embargo, la atención hospitalaria de emergencia mostró un mayor número de solicitudes en 2020 y 2021. Conclusión: Los traumas de violencia, accidentes y caídas son más prepandémico en comparación con el período durante la pandemia COVID-19; así como la búsqueda de asistencia sanitaria en hospitales y clínicas. Estos hallazgos muestran una posible reducción en los informes de trauma y una menor demanda de asistencia durante la pandemia.

Abstract Introduction: Trauma is the second leading cause of mortality and the sixth leading cause of hospitalization in the country, with violence, accidents, and falls being the most prevalent. However, the country is experiencing reflexes of the COVID-19 pandemic, together with a lack of studies on trauma, as well as on clinical care. Objective: To analyze the clinical and epidemiological characteristics of trauma related to violence, accidents, and falls among the years 2019, 2020, and 2021, considered as before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. Material and Methods: Retrospective cohort study, with adults aged 25-55 years, who suffered trauma related to violence, falls, and other accidents, in the period between March and June of 2019, 2020, and 2021, in the city of São Paulo. Data surveys were carried out using the TABNET system, of the Municipal Health Department. Within this system, the search was carried out through the Information System for the Surveillance of Accidents, of the Coordination of Health Surveillance, in which situations of violence were notified and recorded by the National Information System for Notifiable Diseases. Subsequently, the Information System for Surveillance of Violence and Accidents was accessed, focusing on notifications and records of falls and other accidents. Results: Trauma remained more prevalent for males, with complete primary education, and ethnicity predominantly between white or brown. When analyzing the different types of violence: physical, torture, and sexual, there was a prevalence of higher percentages during the year 2019, the pre-pandemic period of COVID-19, except for psychological/moral violence, which was higher in 2021. It should also be noted that the different mechanisms of violence were significantly more prevalent in 2019, as well as the different causes of violence, falls, and car trauma involving pedestrians, occupants, drivers, and passengers. Outpatient care confirmed the higher trend in the pre-pandemic period; however, emergency hospital care showed a greater number of requests in 2020 and 2021. Conclusión: Trauma from violence, accidents, and falls was higher pre-pandemic compared to the period during the COVID-19 pandemic; as well as the search for health care in hospitals and outpatient clinics. These findings show a possible reduction in trauma reports and lower demand for assistance during the pandemic.

Resumo: O objetivo deste artigo foi avaliar os fatores socioeconômicos, familiares e individuais associados ao desenvolvimento infantil no primeiro ano de vida, entre famílias em vulnerabilidade social. Trata-se de uma análise transversal, com dados da linha de base de um ensaio randomizado. O estudo incluiu 3.242 crianças < 12 meses de idade, residentes em 30 municípios de cinco regiões do Brasil. A escolha de estados e municípios foi intencional, tendo como base a implementação do Programa Criança Feliz. A amostra foi selecionada a partir de crianças elegíveis para o Programa Criança Feliz, cujo objetivo é promover a estimulação e o desenvolvimento infantil. O Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) foi utilizado para avaliação do desenvolvimento infantil. Um modelo de análise multinível em três níveis (estado, município e indivíduos), usando teste de Wald para heterogeneidade e tendência linear, estimou a média do ASQ-3 e intervalo de 95% de confiança (IC95%). Análises foram ajustadas para potenciais confundidores. Foram analisadas informações de 3.061 (94,4%) crianças com dados disponíveis para ASQ-3. Escores de desenvolvimento infantil (total e em todos os domínios) foram cerca de 12% menores em crianças nascidas pré-termo e com restrição do crescimento intrauterino (pequenas para idade gestacional). Observou-se menores escores em filhos de mães com baixa escolaridade, com sintomas de depressão, com duas ou mais crianças menores de sete anos residindo no domicílio e que não relataram autopercepção de apoio/ajuda durante a gestação. Conclui-se que características potencialmente modificáveis (escolaridade, depressão materna e prematuridade/restrição do crescimento intrauterino) apresentaram maior impacto na redução do escore de desenvolvimento em todos os domínios avaliados.

Abstract: The study aimed to assess socioeconomic, family, and individual factors associated with infant development (i.e., in the first year of life) among families with social vulnerability. This was a cross-sectional analysis of baseline data from a randomized trial. The study included 3,242 children < 12 months of age living in 30 municipalities from five regions of Brazil. The choice of states and municipalities was intentional, based on the implementation of the Brazilian Happy Child Program. The sample was selected among eligible children for the Brazilian Happy Child Program, and the objective was the promotion of infant development. The Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) was used to assess infant development. A three-level analytical model (state, municipality, and individuals), using the Wald test for heterogeneity and linear trend, estimated the mean ASQ-3 and 95% confidence interval (95%CI). The analyses were adjusted for potential confounders. Information was analyzed for 3,061 (94.4%) children with available data for ASQ-3. Infant development scores (total and in all the domains) were some 12% lower in preterm children and those with intrauterine growth restriction (small for gestational age). Lower scores were seen in children of mothers with low schooling, depressive symptoms, two or more children under seven years of age living in the household, and who did not report self-perceived support or help during the pregnancy. In conclusion, potentially modifiable characteristics (schooling, maternal depression, and prematurity/intrauterine growth restriction) showed greater impact on reducing the infant development score in all the target domains.

Resumen: El objetivo fue evaluar los factores socioeconómicos, familiares e individuales, asociados al desarrollo infantil en el primer año de vida, entre familias con vulnerabilidad social. Se trata de un análisis transversal, con datos de la base de referencia de un ensayo aleatorio. El estudio incluyó a 3.242 niños < 12 meses de edad, residentes en 30 municipios de cinco regiones de Brasil. La elección de estados y municipios fue intencional, considerando como base la implementación del Programa Niño Feliz. La muestra se seleccionó a partir de niños elegibles para el Programa Niño Feliz, cuyo objetivo es promover la estimulación y el desarrollo infantil. Se utilizó el Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) para la evaluación del desarrollo infantil. Un modelo de análisis multinivel en tres niveles (estado, municipio e individuos), usando el test de Wald para la heterogeneidad y tendencia lineal, estimó la media del ASQ-3 y el intervalo de 95% de confianza (IC95%). Los análisis se ajustaron para potenciales factores de confusión. Se analizó información de 3.061 (94,4%) niños con datos disponibles para ASQ-3. Las puntuaciones de desarrollo infantil (total y en todos los dominios) fueron cerca de un 12% menores en niños nacidos pretérmino y con restricción del crecimiento intrauterino (pequeños para la edad gestacional). Se observaron menores puntuaciones en hijos de madres con baja escolaridad, con síntomas de depresión, con dos o más niños menores de siete años residiendo en el domicilio y que no informaron autopercepción de apoyo/ayuda durante la gestación. Se concluye que las características potencialmente modificables (escolaridad, depresión materna y prematuridad/restricción del crecimiento intrauterino) presentaron un mayor impacto en la reducción de la puntuación de desarrollo en todos los dominios evaluados.

O presente estudo trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa com o objetivo de analisar as percepções dos pacientes diante dos desafios na fila da cirurgia bariátrica por meio de grupos focais. Todos os pacientes foram atendidos com protocolo ambulatorial, porém, foram divididos em dois grupos, um participou do processo educativo e o outro não. Quatro categorias de análise foram elaboradas e discutidas à luz da literatura atual. Os pacientes do processo educativo conseguiram se expressar com maior positividade diante dos desafios e apresentaram melhores recursos para atravessar o sofrimento emocional, o agravamento das comorbidades e o risco de morte. Os resultados mostram o potencial da educação em saúde e do trabalho em grupo na promoção do autocuidado e do bem-estar.

The present study is a qualitative research with the objective of analyzing the perceptions of patients in the face of the challenges in the bariatric surgery line through focal groups. All patients were treated with an outpatient protocol, however, they were divided into two groups, one participated in the educational process and the other did not. Four categories of analysis were drawn up and discussed in the light of the current literature. Patients from the educational process were able to express themselves with greater positivity in view of the challenges and they showed better resources for going through the emotional suffering, the worsening of comorbidities and the risk of death. The results show the potential of education in health and of group work in the promotion of self-care and well-being.

El presente estudio se trata de una investigación cualitativa con el objetivo de analizar las percepciones de los pacientes ante los desafíos en la fila de la cirugía bariátrica por medio de grupos focales. Todos los pacientes fueron atendidos con protocolo ambulatorio, pero se dividieron en dos grupos, uno participó en el proceso educativo y el otro no. Se elaboraron y discutieron cuatro categorías de análisis a la luz de la literatura actual. Los pacientes del proceso educativo consiguieron expresarse con mayor positividad antes los desafíos y presentaron mejores recursos para pasar por el sufrimiento emocional, el agravamiento de las comorbilidades y el riesgo de muerte. Los resultados muestran el potencial de la educación en salud y del trabajo en grupo de la promoción del autocuidado y del bienestar.

RESUMO Objetivo: investigar a percepção de estudantes de Fonoaudiologia submetidos ao programa de Treinamento de Habilidades Sociais (THS) no que tange às potencialidades, dificuldades e ganhos percebidos no repertório de habilidades sociais (HS). Métodos: este estudo qualitativo incluiu 22 estudantes (idades entre 19 e 21 anos), matriculados no 2º ano do curso de graduação em Fonoaudiologia. A estrutura do THS baseou-se na metodologia teórico-informativa e prático-vivencial, desenvolvidas ao longo de 15 encontros, empregando-se distintas estratégias de ensino. A análise de conteúdo foi utilizada para avaliar as respostas a um questionário com cinco perguntas abertas a respeito das HS e do próprio programa, aplicado no início, meio e final do treinamento. Resultados: observou-se maior dificuldade dos participantes em falar em público e nas habilidades empáticas e assertivas com os colegas e professores. Os participantes destacaram a importância das HS na relação profissional-paciente e da inserção do programa para a formação profissional, por ampliar as habilidades e competências para além do saber técnico, tendo o autoconhecimento papel central neste processo. Conclusão: na preparação para a atividade clínica, o THS pode ser utilizado como uma metodologia de ensino-aprendizagem promissora nos currículos dos cursos de Fonoaudiologia.

ABSTRACT Purpose: to investigate the perception of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (SLPA) students, submitted to a Social Skills Training (SST) program, regarding potentialities, difficulties and perceived gains in their social skills (SS) repertoire. Methods: this qualitative study included 22 students (between 19 and 21 years old), enrolled in the 2nd year of the undergraduate SLPA course. The SST structure was based on theoretical-informative and practical-experiential methodology, developed over 15 meetings, using different teaching strategies. Content analysis was applied to assess the responses to a questionnaire with five open ended questions about the SS and the program itself, administered at the beginning, middle and end of the training. Results: greater difficulty was observed for students in relation to public speaking as well as empathetic and assertive skills toward their peers and professors. The participants highlighted the importance of the SST for the professional-patient relationship and for their professional training, as the training expands skills and competences beyond technical knowledge, with self-knowledge having a central role in this process. Conclusion: in preparation for clinical practice the SST can be used as a promising teaching-learning methodology in the curricula of SLPA courses.

Objective: Evaluate the vaccinal coverage in agreement with the Brazilian National Immunization Program, among children benefiting from the Bolsa Familia Program, Brazil, according to the family's socioeconomic level and maternal characteristics. Methods: 3242 children were assessed between August/2018 and April/2019, of which 3008 were reassessed between September/2019 and January/2020. Multilevel models (level 3, state; level 2: municipality, level 1, children) were employed. Results: Coverage was 2.5 times higher in the first (61.0% – 95%CI 59.3;62.6%) than in the second follow-up (24.8% – 95%CI 22.8;25.9%) (p<0.001). In the first follow-up, coverage was higher in children in the richest quintile (67.9%) and whose mothers had ≥9 years of schooling (63.3%). There were no differences in the second follow-up. The highest coverage occurred between 0.5-2.5 months (93.5%) and 12.5-15.5 months (34.4%), respectively in the first and second follow-ups. Conclusion: The coverage of adequate vaccination was low, both in the first and second year of life.

Objetivo: Avaliar a cobertura vacinal, conforme o calendário do Programa Nacional de Imunizações, entre crianças beneficiárias do Programa Bolsa Família, Brasil, segundo nível socioeconômico da família e características maternas. Métodos: Foram avaliadas 3.242 crianças menores de 12 meses de vida entre agosto/2018 e abril/2019, sendo 3.008 delas reavaliadas entre setembro/2019 e janeiro/2020. As análises foram realizadas utilizando-se modelos multiníveis (nível 3, Unidade da Federação; nível 2, município; nível 1, crianças). Resultados: A cobertura vacinal foi 2,5 vezes maior no primeiro (61,0% – IC95% 59,3;62,6%), comparado ao segundo acompanhamento (24,8% – IC95% 22,8;25,9%) (p<0,001). No primeiro acompanhamento, a cobertura foi maior no quintil mais rico (67,9%) e nas crianças cujas mães tinham ≥9 anos de escolaridade (63,3%). No segundo acompanhamento, não houve diferenças. As maiores coberturas ocorreram entre 0,5-2,5 (93,5%) e 12,5-15,5 meses (34,4%), respectivamente primeiro e segundo acompanhamentos. Conclusão: Encontrou-se baixa cobertura, tanto no primeiro quanto no segundo ano de vida.

RESUMO: Os arbovírus são vírus que mantêm o seu ciclo de vida em ambiente silvestre. Eles são transmitidos aos hospedeiros vertebrados por dípteros hematófagos, tem caráter zoonótico podendo estabelecer um ciclo enzoótico no meio urbano, sendo que em humanos a infecção pode ter caráter encefalomiogênico a hemorrágico. Este estudo teve como objetivo relatar a ocorrência de arbovírus em mamíferos da ordem Didelphimorphia e Rodentia capturados na Amazônia. Os soros dos animais foram submetidos a testes de Inibição da Hemaglutinação utilizando um painel viral com as 19 principais espécies de arbovírus que ocorrem na Amazônia. Foram capturados 14 espécimes de mamíferos silvestres, 12 Philander opossum, 1 Didelphis marsupialis e 1 Nectomys rattus. A soropositividade para arbovírus foi observada em 57,14% (8/14) dos espécimes estudados, com soroprevalência monotípica para o vírus da Encefalite Equina do Leste (n = 1), o vírus Ilheus (n = 2) e o vírus Catu (n = 4) e quatro reações heterotípicos para Flavivírus e Orthobyavírus. Conclui-se que há manutenção e circulação de espécies de arbovírus com características enzoóticas em mamíferos silvestres da região amazônica, podendo ser hospedeiros em potenciais na transmissão da doença para humanos.

ABSTRACT: Arboviruses are viruses that maintain their life cycle in the wild and are transmitted to vertebrate hosts by hematophagous diptera. They are zoonotic and can establish an enzootic cycle in the urban areas; in humans, the infection can manifest from being encephalitogenic to hemorrhagic. This study aimed to report the occurrence of arboviruses in mammals of the order Didelphimorphia and Rodentia, captured from the Amazon. Serum samples were subjected to hemagglutination inhibition test using a viral panel of 19 species of arboviruses that are known to occur in the Amazon. Altogether, 14 wild mammals, 12 of Philander opossum, 1 of Didelphis marsupialis, and 1 of Nectomys rattus were captured. Eight of these were reported to be seropositive for arboviruses (57.14%) with monotypic seroprevalence for the Eastern Equine Encephalitis Virus (n=1), the Ilheus Virus (n=2), and the Catu virus (n=4); 4 heterotypic responses were observed for Flavivirus and Orthobunyavirus. In conclusion, several arbovirus species are in active circulation and maintenance, exhibiting enzootic characteristics in the wild mammals of the Amazon region; these animals prove to be potential hosts in the transmission of diseases to humans.

RESUMO Objetivo: construir uma literatura de cordel para apoiar mães com filhos internados em unidade neonatal durante a pandemia de covid-19. Método: pesquisa metodológica realizada em junho de 2020 em duas etapas: 1. Levantamento bibliográfico, com buscas no Portal de Boas Práticas em Saúde da Mulher, da Criança e do Adolescente da Fiocruz e em bases de dados internacionais. Foi utilizado instrumento para análise dos dados; 2. Elaboração do cordel: elaboração textual e confecção das estrofes. Resultados: o cordel construído, “Pequeno Milagre de Mainha”, é constituído por 13 septilhas (estrofes com sete versos) e aborda em seu conteúdo as emoções de mães com filhos internados em unidade neonatal durante a pandemia covid-19. Conclusão: o cordel visa ser um apoio às instituições de saúde que dispõem de Unidade de Terapia Intensiva Neonatal no que concerne à saúde mental das mães e orientações durante a pandemia de covid-19.

ABSTRACT Objective: to build string literature to support mothers with children hospitalized in a neonatal unit during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: a methodological research study conducted in June 2020, in two stages: 1. Bibliographic survey, in which searches were conducted in the Portal of Good Practices in Women’s, Children’s and Adolescents’ Health (Portal de Boas Práticas em Saúde da Mulher, da Criança e do Adolescente) of the Fiocruz Foundation and in the SciELO, BDENF and LILACS databases. An instrument was used for data analysis; 2. Elaboration of the string, with textual elaboration and production of the stanzas. Results: the string built, “Mainha e Seu Milagre” (“Mum and Her Miracle”), consists of 13 “septilhas”, stanzas with seven verses, and addresses in its content the emotions of mothers with children hospitalized in a neonatal unit during the COVID-19 pandemic. Conclusion: the string aims at providing support to the health institutions that have a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit regarding the mental health of the mothers and at offering guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic.

RESUMO O presente estudo teve como objetivo comparar o efeito de um protocolo de exercícios cinesiofuncionais (ECF) isolados ou associados a corrente interferencial (CI) ou corrente aussie (CA), sobre a intensidade da dor, a mobilidade/flexibilidade, a funcionalidade e a qualidade de vida (QV) de indivíduos com dor lombar inespecífica crônica. Trata-se de um ensaio clínico não randomizado, em que foram selecionados 42 sujeitos aleatorizados em três grupos: GI (treinamentos cinesiofuncional; n=14), GII (treinamentos cinesiofuncional + CI; n=14) e GIII (treinamento cinesiofuncional + CA; n=14). Os indivíduos foram submetidos a dez sessões de tratamento ao longo de 5 semanas e foram avaliados pré e pós-intervenção, usando escala visual analógica de dor (EVA); avaliação da QV pelo questionário SF-36; avaliação da mobilidade/flexibilidade lombar pelo teste de Schober modificado e o teste de sentar e alcançar com o banco de Wells; avaliação da incapacidade funcional através do índice Oswestry; e, para os aspectos depressivos, inventário de depressão de Beck (IDB). Na reavaliação, percebeu-se que houve melhora significativa em todos os grupos experimentais na intensidade da dor (p<0,0001) e na mobilidade/flexibilidade. No SF-36, verificamos que apenas os indivíduos tratados com exercícios associados à corrente elétrica apresentaram melhora dos domínios capacidade física, aspectos físicos e dor. A avaliação do IDB não apresentou modificações pré e pós-intervenção. Conclui-se que a associação das técnicas terapêuticas apresentou maior benefício aos indivíduos da amostra, uma vez que produziu melhora sobre as variáveis avaliadas, como dor, mobilidade/flexibilidade e qualidade de vida.

ABSTRACT This study aimed to compare the effect of a Kinesio-functional exercise protocol (KFE) isolated or associated with Interferential Current (IC) or Aussie Current (AC) on pain intensity, mobility/flexibility, functionality, and quality of life (QoL) of individuals with chronic non-specific low back pain. This is a non-randomized clinical trial, in which 42 individuals were randomly divided into three groups: GI (KFE; n=14), GII (KFE+IC; n=14) and GIII (KFE+AC, n=14). The individuals underwent 10 treatment sessions (five weeks). The individuals were evaluated before and after the intervention, using the Pain visual analog scale (VAS); the assessment of QoL was conducted using the SF-36 questionnaire; the assessment of lumbar mobility/flexibility, by the modified Schober test and the Wells Bank; the assessment of functional disability, using the Oswestry Index; and for depressive aspects, the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) was used. In the reassessment, we observed a significant improvement in all experimental groups regarding pain intensity (p <0.0001) and mobility/flexibility. In SF-36, we found that only individuals treated with exercises associated with electrical current improved their physical capacity, physical aspects, and pain domains. The BDI assessment did not show any changes before or after the intervention. We conclude that the association of therapeutic techniques showed greater benefit to the individuals in the sample since it improved the evaluated variables, such as pain, mobility/flexibility, and quality of life.

RESUMEN El presente estudio tuvo por objetivo comparar el efecto de un protocolo de ejercicios kinesiofuncionales (ECF) aislados o asociados con corriente interferencial (CI) o corriente aussie (CA) sobre la intensidad del dolor, la movilidad/flexibilidad, la funcionalidad y la calidad de vida (CV) de las personas con dolor lumbar crónico inespecífico. Este es un ensayo clínico no aleatorizado en el que participaron 42 individuos y se los dividieron al azar en tres grupos: GI (entrenamientos kinesiofuncionales; n=14), GII (entrenamientos kinesiofuncionales + CI; n=14) y GIII (entrenamiento kinesiofuncional + CA; n=14). Se sometieron a los participantes a diez sesiones de tratamiento, durante 5 semanas, y estos pasaron por una evaluación antes y después de la intervención por medio de una escala visual de dolor analógica (EVA); evaluación de la CV por el cuestionario SF-36; evaluación de la movilidad/flexibilidad lumbar utilizando la prueba de Schober modificada y la prueba de sentarse y llegar al banco Wells; evaluación de la incapacidad funcional empelando el índice de Oswestry; y, para los aspectos depresivos, el Inventario de Depresión de Beck (BDI). En la reevaluación, la intensidad del dolor (p<0,0001) y la movilidad/flexibilidad tuvieron una mejora significativa en todos los grupos experimentales. En el SF-36, solo los individuos tratados con ejercicios asociados con corriente eléctrica mejoraron la capacidad física, los aspectos físicos y los dominios del dolor. La evaluación del BDI no cambió antes ni después de la intervención. Se concluye que la asociación entre técnicas terapéuticas tuvo un efecto positivo para los individuos de la muestra por la mejora producida en las variables evaluadas, como el dolor, la movilidad/flexibilidad y la calidad de vida.
