RESUMO: Objetivou-se com este trabalho estudar as características físico-químicas de frutos, biometria e superação da dormência de sementes de marula. Para a caracterização físico-química foram utilizados 200 frutos maduros. Realizou-se a biometria utilizando uma amostra aleatória de 400 sementes e foram avaliados: peso, comprimento, largura e espessura de frutos e sementes. Para o estudo da superação de dormência foram realizados dois experimentos com os tratamentos pré-germinativos constituídos pela imersão das sementes em ácido sulfúrico concentrado (96%) e água a temperatura de 65 ºC por cinco tempos (0, 15, 30, 45 e 60 minutos), sendo o tempo zero a testemunha, onde utilizou-se apenas água destilada, com quatro repetições de 25 sementes por tratamento. Os frutos de marula apresentaram valores médios de 21,65 ± 3,44 g, 35,5±2,38 e 34,8±2,73 mm de peso, diâmetro e comprimento, respectivamente e sólidos solúveis (SS), Potencial Hidrogeniônico ( pH), acidez titulável (AT) e ratio (AT/SS) foram de 14,74 ± 1,0 ºBrix, 3,93 ± 0,49 pH, 0,63 ± 0,22 e 27,07 ± 12,10 respectivamente. As sementes apresentaram valores médios de 3.576 ± 188,4 g para o peso de mil sementes. Para as dimensões, largura, comprimento e diâmetro de sementes, apresentaram valores médios de 22,9 ± 2,11; 23,7 ± 2,04; e 14,9 ± 2,09 mm respectivamente. A imersão das sementes procedentes de frutos recém colhidos em ácido sulfúrico por até 30 minutos e o armazenamento por seismeses promove incrementos na sua qualidade fisiológica. ABSTRACT: This study recorded the physicochemical properties of the marula fruits, the biometry and breaking the dormancy in the marula seeds. Using 200 ripe fruits, the physicochemical characterization was done. From a random sample of 400 seeds, an assessment of the biometrics was performed, and the weight, length, width and thickness of the fruits and seeds were evaluated. Two experiments were conducted to study dormancy breaking using pre-germination treatments, which included immersing the marula seeds five times (0, 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes) in concentrated sulfuric acid (96%) and water, at 65 ºC temperature. The control was time zero, using plain distilled water, with 25 seeds per treatment and four replications. The marula fruits revealed average values of 21.65 ± 3.44 g, 35.5 ± 2.38 and 34.8 ± 2.73, respectively, for weight, diameter and length. The soluble solids (SS), Hydrogenonic Potential (pH), titratable acidity (AT) and ratio (AT/SS) were 14.74 ± 1.0º Brix, 3.93 ± 0.49 pH, 0.63 ± 0.22 and 27.07 ± 12.10, respectively. For the weight of one thousand seeds, the average value was 3.576 ± 188.4 g. ABSTRACT The construction sector plays a fundamental role in social development, but is responsible for the consumption of the world’s natural and energy resources. Therefore, research seeks to incorporate waste into the production of materials, aligning with global goals for reducing CO2 emissions, disposal in landfills and resource extraction. Among industrial waste, waste from the glass cutting process (GCW) stands out, little explored in the literature and with significant rates of disposal in landfills. Therefore, this research aims to evaluate the properties of mortars incorporating GCW, as a partial replacement for Portland cement and aggregate, through a comprehensive investigation of the properties of the material produced. The materials that make up the mixtures and mortars were characterized in accordance with regulatory requirements. The data obtained were analyzed using the analysis of variance (ANOVA) methodology and Tukey test. The results showed that the GCW influenced the consistency index, the specific gravity and the tensile bond strength of the mortars, reducing water absorption, capillary absorption and shrinkage. As for compressive strength, it was observed that up to 10% by GCW, replacing cement, does not compromise this property, with a relative increase in strength when replacing sand. As for durability, there was an improvement in this property. Assim, esta pesquisa tem como objetivo avaliar as propriedades de argamassas com incorporação de RLV, em substituição parcial ao cimento Portland e ao agregado, por meio de uma investigação abrangente das propriedades do material produzido. Os materiais componentes das misturas e as argamassas foram caracterizados de acordo com as prescrições normativas. Os dados obtidos foram analisados por meio da metodologia de análise de variância (ANOVA) e teste de Tukey. Os resultados mostraram que o RLV influenciou no índice de consistência, na massa específica real e na aderência à tração das argamassas, reduziu a absorção de água, absorção por capilaridade e retração. Abstract Postprandial lipemia (PPL) is associated with cardiovascular diseases, and it is assessed by the oral fat tolerance test (OFTT), which measures circulating triacylglycerol (TG). The objective is to propose an OFTT meal and to evaluate men’s and women’s perceptions, attitudes, sensory acceptability, and satiety. After overnight fasting, blood was collected (n=105), participants ingested the OFTT meal (75.4g lipids, 25.2g carbohydrates, and 10.8g protein/ 822.6 Kcal), and a new blood sample was collected 4h later. Fasting TG was 125.7±92.0 mg/dL (mean±SD) for men and 108.9±52.6 mg/dL for women. It increased by 97.7% and 86.7%, respectively, 4h after meal ingestion (P<0.0001), with no change in glucose. Participants felt satiated during the test. The meal was considered easy to eat and better tolerated by men. The median overall sensory acceptability was 7.0 [9-point hedonic scale]. The greatest fullness was seen in the first hour (magnitude satiety scale) and higher for women (P<0.01). ABSTRACT Objective: To evaluate the impact of endodontic treatment with photobiomodulation on oral health-related quality of life (HRQoL). Material and Methods: Seventy participants with single-rooted teeth and a diagnosis of asymptomatic apical periodontitis were selected and randomized into two groups: control group (CG, n = 35), root canal treatment without additional treatment, and experimental group (EG, n = 35), root canal treatment associated with antimicrobial photodynamic therapy and low-level laser therapy. OHRQoL was assessed using the Oral Health Impact Profile Questionnaire (OHIP-14) at baseline and 7 and 30 days after treatment. Data were subjected to Wilcoxon, Mann-Whitney tests, and linear regression using the generalized estimating equation model, using the Statistical Package for Social Science software with a significance level of 5%. Results: No statistically significant differences were found between groups regarding sociodemographic and clinical characteristics (p>0.05). There was also no difference in the OHRQoL between the CG and EG (p>0.05). Objective: To investigating the relationship between α-Klotho and FGF-23 with bone biochemical markers and bone density findings in extremely aged individuals. Methods: A total of 55 individuals with a mean age of 85.6 years were subjected to clinical, biochemical, and bone mineral density analyses and the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay-based detection of α-Klotho and FGF-23. The mean, standard deviation, median, and interquartile ranges of the sample values were determined, and Spearman's test for association assessments was used for statistical analysis. Results: The study participants expressed median FGF-23 and α-Klotho levels of 69.81 RU/mL (51.43 RU/mL) and 733.43 pg/mL (360.83 pg/mL), respectively. Abstract Genetic, epigenetic and environmental factors play an important role in the genesis of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2D). In the genetic context, one of the strategies used to investigate possible associations with diabetes is the search for Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs), involving the comparison of alelle frequencies, the phenotypic variations and other relevant factors, such as environmental influences and lifestyle choices, Thus, the aim of this study was to find the relationship of risk variants for T2D in SNPs (rs4994) in the ADRB3 gene; (rs1799854) in the ABCC8 gene; (rs7901695 and rs12255372) in the TCF7L2 gene; and (rs8050136) in the FTO gene in a sample of the population of the municipality of Santarém (PA), Brazilian Amazon, in the northern region of Brazil. Abstract The hematological parameters of fish contribute to the understanding of the health status in response to diseases, treatments, handling, and environmental factors. This study aimed to verify the hematological parameters of mullet Mugil liza after one-hour immersion baths in five concentrations of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), an effective chemical treatment for several diseases in fish. A total of 108 fish (35.25 ± 6.09g) was distributed into six treatments with three replicates each: untreated fish (control), and fish treated with five concentrations of H2O2 (150, 200, 250, 300 and 350 mg L-1). Blood collection was performed immediately after bathing and 30 days after. Erythrogram, leukogram, thrombocytogram, hematocrit, plasma glucose, hemoglobin concentration and hematimetric indexes were analyzed. There was no significant difference in the erythrocyte and total leukocyte counts. Regarding plasma glucose and hematimetric indexes, the values were increased (p<0.05), except for mean corpuscular volume (MCV), that was decreased (p<0.05) after bath, including control. These responses may be associated to stress from handling and bathing procedure. In fish treated with H2O2, the number of thrombocytes and lymphocytes was lower (p<0.05) immediately after bath, while neutrophils and monocytes showed increased (p<0.05) values immediately after bath, which indicates adverse effects due to H2O2; however, these effects seem to be reversible after 30 days of recovery. ABSTRACT Yellow fever vaccine (YFV) is a live attenuated vaccine that can cause a mild infection in immunocompetent patients. However, it may not be self-limiting in patients with inborn errors of immunity (IEI) and may be the first and most severe presentation in these patients. A 10-month-old female infant sought emergency care presenting fever for three days and diffuse exanthema. She was a previous healthy child of consanguineous parents. The child had received YFV 28 days before the onset of symptoms. Upon hospital admission, petechial rash on the limbs and hepatosplenomegaly were noted on physical exam. Laboratory tests showed thrombocytopenia, increased serum aminotransferases and elevated gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT) and alkaline phosphatase levels. During hospitalization she developed hypoactivity, drowsiness, and hypotonia. The possibility of viscerotropic and neurotropic vaccine associated disease was suspected and a possible primary immunodeficiency disease considered. The patient was tested for antibodies against the yellow fever virus (MAC ELISA) on serum and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) samples, showing positive IgM results. Immunophenotyping showed low levels of lymphocytes and absence of T-cell receptor excision circles (TREC), leading to diagnose of severe combined immunodeficiency disease (SCID). Objective: to analyze the occurrence of difficulty in the peripheral insertion of the central catheter and the presence of complications in the use of this device in hospitalized adults who received peripheral intravenous therapy through a short peripheral intravenous catheter and to identify whether there is an association between peripheral intravenous therapy and the presence of complications in the use of the peripherally inserted central catheter. Method: retrospective cohort, with patients aged 18 years or over, in a tertiary teaching hospital, with a peripherally inserted central catheter, who had at least one previous short peripheral intravenous catheter. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Poisson regression. Results: the sample consisted of 76 patients. There was an association between difficulty in the insertion procedure and number of punctures (p<0.01) and insertion in the external jugular vein compared to the upper limbs (p<0.01). The insertion site was also associated with the removal of the peripherally inserted central catheter due to complications in the robust analysis of variance (p=0.02). Objetivo: analisar a ocorrência de dificuldade na inserção periférica do cateter central e a presença de complicações no uso deste dispositivo em adultos hospitalizados que receberam terapia intravenosa periférica por cateter intravenoso periférico curto e identificar se há associação entre terapia intravenosa periférica e presença de complicações no uso do cateter central inserido perifericamente. Método: coorte retrospectiva, com pacientes de idade igual ou superior a 18 anos, em hospital terciário de ensino, com cateter central inserido perifericamente, que tiveram ao menos um cateter intravenoso periférico curto prévio. Os dados foram analisados por meio de estatística descritiva e regressão de Poisson. Resultados: a amostra foi constituída por 76 pacientes. Houve associação entre dificuldade no procedimento de inserção e número de punções (p<0,01) e inserção em veia jugular externa em comparação aos membros superiores (p<0,01). O local de inserção também apresentou associação com a remoção do cateter central inserido perifericamente por complicações na análise de variância robusta (p=0,02). Objetivo: analizar la aparición de dificultad en la inserción periférica del catéter central y la presencia de complicaciones en el uso de este dispositivo en adultos hospitalizados que recibieron terapia intravenosa periférica a través de un catéter intravenoso periférico corto e identificar si existe asociación entre la terapia intravenosa periférica y la presencia de complicaciones en el uso del catéter central de inserción periférica. Método: cohorte retrospectiva, con pacientes de 18 años o más, en un hospital universitario terciario, con catéter central de inserción periférica, que tuvieran al menos un catéter intravenoso periférico corto previo. Los datos se analizaron mediante estadística descriptiva y regresión de Poisson. Resultados: la muestra estuvo compuesta por 76 pacientes. Hubo asociación entre dificultad en el procedimiento de inserción y número de punciones (p<0,01) e inserción en la vena yugular externa en comparación con los miembros superiores (p<0,01). El sitio de inserción también se asoció con la retirada del catéter central insertado periféricamente debido a complicaciones en el análisis de varianza robusto (p=0,02). No se identificaron asociaciones entre: dificultad para insertar el dispositivo y tiempo de terapia intravenosa periférica (modelo crudo p=0,23; modelo ajustado p=0,21); dificultad en la inserción y administración de medicación irritante y vesicante (modelo crudo p=0,69; modelo ajustado p=0,53); complicación en el uso de catéter central de inserción periférica y tiempo de terapia intravenosa periférica (modelos crudo y ajustado p=0,08); y migración secundaria de la punta del catéter y el sitio de inserción del dispositivo (p=0,24). Conclusión: se pudo identificar la migración secundaria como una de las principales complicaciones, resultando en la retirada prematura del dispositivo. Además, cuanto mayor sea el número de intentos de punción para insertar el PICC, mayor será la dificultad para insertarlo. ABSTRACT Objective: To analyze the content published in the Proceedings of the 71st Brazilian Nursing Congress and the 20th National Research Seminar in the field of sexual and reproductive health. Method: Qualitative, descriptive study, whose data sources were the annalsof two 2019 events that were related to Sexual and Reproductive Health. Content analysis and lexical typology were carried out with the aid of the IRAMUTEq® software. Results: In a universe of 3,433 abstracts, 603 were analyzed and showed a higher prevalence of qualitative studies and experience reports, focusing on the maternal-child area and on the pathologizing and medicalizing processes of women's health, with incipient use of software in the analysis. However, there were signs of health promotion and humanized care. Conclusion: The dissemination of studies in the field of sexual and Reproductive Health seems to be in a conflict between accommodation and resistance, at the same time that it maintains old imperatives of the hegemonic domain, seeking to overcome them with new methodologies and care based on integrality and equity. RESUMO Objetivo: Analisar o conteúdo publicado nos Anais do 71º Congresso Brasileiro de Enfermagem e do 20º Seminário Nacional de Pesquisa em Enfermagem na área da saúde sexual e reprodutiva. Método: Estudo qualitativo, descritivo, cujas fontes de dados foram resumos com temáticas referentes à Saúde Sexual e Reprodutiva nos Anais de 2019 dos eventos. Realizou-se análise de conteúdo, tipo lexical com auxílio do software IRAMUTEq®. Resultados: Dos 3.433 resumos recrutados foram analisados 603, sendo grande parte de estudos qualitativos e relato de experiências, com enfoque na área materno-infantil e nos processos patologizantes e medicalizadores da saúde da mulher. Entretanto, houve sinalizações de promoção de saúde e cuidados humanizados. Conclusão: A divulgação dos estudos da Área da Saúde Sexual e Reprodutiva parece estar num conflito entre acomodação e resistência, pois, ao mesmo tempo que mantém antigos imperativos do domínio hegemônico, busca superá-los com novas metodologias e cuidados pautados na integralidade e equidade. Abstract Background: The multidisciplinary team caring for at-risk newborns should identify the risk factors for asphyxia early on. The team should be prepared for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and post-resuscitation care and have theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and ethical behaviors to minimize adverse events and provide safe care. Objective: To assess the knowledge of the multidisciplinary team about neonatal post-resuscitation care. Methodology: Cross-sectional study in a neonatal unit in Fortaleza-CE-Brazil. A questionnaire was administered to the multidisciplinary team, selected by convenience, and analyzed using the positivity index. Results: The team consisted mostly of women, aged 30 to 40 years, with a postgraduate degree, who had witnessed neonatal cardiorespiratory arrest and had attended a training course. They had an adequate knowledge positivity index (99.1%) regarding vital signs and oxygen saturation; borderline knowledge of blood gas dosage (71.8%), and poor knowledge (20.9% to 60.0%) about monitoring central venous pressure, urine output, blood glucose, and cardiac enzymes. Participants suggested using hard technologies, with only one professional recommending soft/relational technologies. Conclusion: There is a need for effective professional training, continuing education, and awareness-raising interventions to promote a holistic approach to newborn care.

Resumen Marco contextual: Es imprescindible que el equipo multidisciplinar que atiende a los recién nacidos de riesgo identifique los riesgos de asfixia de forma precoz. Deben estar preparados para la reanimación cardiopulmonar y los cuidados posteriores a la reanimación; con conocimientos teóricos, habilidades prácticas y acciones éticas para minimizar los eventos adversos y proporcionar cuidados seguros. Objetivo: Evaluar los conocimientos del equipo multidisciplinar sobre los cuidados del recién nacido tras la reanimación. Metodología: Estudio transversal realizado en una unidad neonatal de Fortaleza-CE-Brasil. Se administró un cuestionario al equipo multiprofesional, seleccionado por conveniencia, y se analizó mediante el índice de positividad. Resultados: Se observó un equipo formado por mujeres de entre 30 y 40 años, con titulación de posgrado, que habían presenciado paradas cardiorespiratorias neonatales y habían realizado un curso de formación. Presentaban un índice de positividad de conocimiento adecuado (99,1%) sobre las constantes vitales y la saturación de oxígeno; conocimiento limitado sobre la medición de la gasometría (71,8%) y conocimiento escaso (del 20,9% al 60,0%) sobre la comprobación de la presión venosa central, la diuresis, la glucemia y las enzimas cardiacas. Se sugiere utilizar tecnologías duras, solo un profesional recomienda tecnologías blandas/relacionales. Conclusión: Se necesita una formación profesional eficaz, educación continua y sensibilización sobre un enfoque holístico de los recién nacidos.

Esta deve estar preparada para reanimação cardiopulmonar e cuidados pós-reanimação; com conhecimento teórico, habilidades práticas e ações éticas para minimizar eventos adversos, proporcionando uma assistência segura. Objetivo: Avaliar o conhecimento da equipa multidisciplinar acerca dos cuidados ao recém-nascido pós-reanimação. Metodologia: Pesquisa transversal, numa unidade neonatal de Fortaleza-CE-Brasil. Aplicou-se um questionário à equipa multiprofissional, selecionada por conveniência, com análise pelo índice de positividade. Resultados: Evidenciou-se uma equipa feminina, 30 a 40 anos, com pós-graduação, que presenciou paragem cardiorrespiratória neonatal e fez curso de aperfeiçoamento. Apresentou adequado índice de positividade do conhecimento (99,1%) quanto aos sinais vitais e saturação de oxigénio; conhecimento limítrofe para dosagem de gasometria (71,8%) e sofrível (20,9% a 60,0%) na verificação da pressão venosa central, débito urinário, glicemia e enzimas cardíacas. Sugerem uso de tecnologias duras, apenas um profissional recomenda tecnologias leves/relacionais. Conclusão: Necessidade de ações efetivas de qualificação profissional, educação contínua e sensibilização para um olhar holístico ao recém-nascido.

O Programa Médicos pelo Brasil (PMpB) pretende ampliar a oferta de serviços médicos em locais de difícil provimento ou alta vulnerabilidade. Traz como inovações a priorização das menores e mais isoladas cidades; a seleção de profissionais por processo isonômico; a formação em medicina de família e comunidade; e o fato de ser a primeira carreira médica federal na APS, com salários competitivos, progressão e incentivos financeiros que valorizam a longitudinalidade e o desempenho. O PMpB é executado pela Agência para o Desenvolvimento da Atenção Primária à Saúde (Adaps), o que permite mais eficiência na gestão da política pública. Abstract Access to medical care is essential to achieve quality primary health care (PHC). In Brazil, access difficulties still persist. The Doctors for Brazil Program (PMpB in Portuguese) aims to expand the offer of medical services in places of difficult provision or high vulnerability. It innovates insofar as it prioritizes smaller and rather isolated cities, by selecting professionals through an isonomic process, offering them training in Family and Community Medicine and a chance to build their first federal medical career in PHC. The program offers competitive salaries, progression and financial incentives that value long-term commitment and performance. The PMpB is rolled out by the Agency for the Development of Primary Health Care (Adaps), which allows better management of public policies. The first nine months of the program showed promising results, as approximately 23,000 candidates seeking to join the program through its selection process, i.e., 97.1% vacancies were filled and retention rate after admittance was 95.4%. Abstract The present study aimed to perform the cross-cultural adaptation of the Digital Health Literacy Instrument (DHLI) for native Brazilian Portuguese-speaking adolescents (DHLI-BrA). Cross-cultural adaptation consisted of the following steps: translation, assessment, and adjustments by the expert committee to ensure cultural equivalence; back-translation, and synthesis of back-translations. Cognitive testing was then performed in a pretest with adolescents using cognitive interviews with probing questions on the item's understanding interpretation and response options. Cronbach’s alpha coefficient and McDonald’s omega were used to estimate the instrument’s reliability. Forty-two Brazilian adolescents participated in the study (mean age: 16.0 ± 2.0 years; range: 13 to 19 years). Items that were difficult to understand were adapted to the context of Brazilian adolescents. Cronbach’s alpha coefficient and McDonald’s omega for the 21 items of the DHLI-BrA were, respectively, 0.79 and 0.80. Cronbach’s alpha coefficient for the subscales of the self-report instrument was 0.53-0.79 (range), demonstrating good reliability in the total instrument and moderate reliability in the subscales. Resumo O estudo teve o objetivo de adaptar transculturalmente o Digital Health Literacy Instrument (DHLI) para adolescentes nativos do idioma português do Brasil (DHLI-BrA). O estudo de adaptação transcultural consistiu nas seguintes etapas: tradução, avaliação e adequação de equivalência cultural da tradução por comitê de especialistas; retrotradução e síntese das retrotraduções. Foi realizada a testagem cognitiva em pré-teste com adolescentes, utilizando-se entrevistas cognitivas com perguntas de sondagem sobre a compreensão e interpretação dos itens e opções de resposta. O alfa de Cronbach e ômega de McDonald’s foram utilizados para estimar a confiabilidade do instrumento. Participaram do pré-teste 42 adolescentes brasileiros com média de idade de 16,0 ± 2,0 (variação de 13-19) anos. Os itens com dificuldade de compreensão foram adaptados ao contexto dos adolescentes brasileiros. This is a multicenter, cross-sectional study carried out with students regularly enrolled in undergraduate courses at eight Brazilian IFES. Data collection was conducted between October 2021 and February 2022 using an online self-completed questionnaire, which addressed sociodemographic and academic characteristics, lifestyle habits, and health conditions. Symptoms of anxiety and depression were assessed using the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale-21 (DASS-21). Variables were analyzed descriptively using frequency distribution and Pearson’s chi-square test. To estimate the prevalence of symptoms of anxiety and depression, the proportion and 95% confidence interval (95%CI) were used. The level of adopted statistical significance was 5%.
