Resumo Com este artigo propõe-se elaborar sobre a relação existente entre o discurso político e a competição política, e dissertar sobre a competição político-partidária em Portugal nos primeiros meses de Rui Rio à frente do principal partido na oposição, o Partido Social Democrata. Pretende-se alcançar o segundo objetivo referido a partir da análise da interação discursiva, publicada em jornais, entre o chefe do XXI Governo Constitucional de Portugal e o líder do principal partido na oposição. Na primeira parte, é apresentada uma elaboração teórica sobre os vários conceitos implicados na relação estudada; de seguida, são expostos os procedimentos e resultados do estudo empírico levado a cabo. Argumenta-se que, pela natureza comunicacional da política, o discurso político pode ser um indicador do nível da competição político-partidária. Chegou-se à conclusão de que, no período analisado, houve um elevado nível de convergência no discurso, entre os líderes dos partidos estudados, o que aponta para a existência de um fraco nível de competição política em Portugal.

Abstract This article proposes to elaborate on the relationship between political discourse and political competition, and lecture on the political-party competition in Portugal in the first months of Rui Rio ahead of the main opposition party, PSD. We intend to achieve the second objective already mentioned through the analysis of the discursive interaction between the head of the Portuguese XXI Constitutional Government and the leader of the main opposition party, seen through published newspapers articles. In the first part, a theoretical elaboration is presented on the various concepts involved in the relationship studied; in the following section are exposed the procedures and results of the empirical study carried out. It is argued that, due to the communicational nature of politics, political discourse can be an indicator of the level of political-party competition. It was concluded that, in the period analysed, there was a high level of convergence in the discourse, among the leaders of the parties studied, which points to the existence of a weak level of political competition in Portugal.

Abstract This research analyzes the scientific production related to convergence culture through bibliometric indicators of production, citation and relational co-citation. Specifically, it evaluates scientific production using production and citation indicators, and characterizes the main influencers on the recovered work through the analysis of co-citation between authors. For this, it searches for the term convergence culture in the Web of Science database and evaluates the production of articles over the years together with the citations received and reveals, through the analysis of co-citation between authors, the main influencers on the retrieved work. To analyze the co-citations, it uses the concept of diachronic recitations of authors per document to build the intellectual structure of the domain in question. As a result, it presents a low productivity of articles close to saturation, 34% of the articles without citations received and with a clear deceleration of citations per article. It illustrates that the intellectual structure of the theme is composed of 46 authors most cited in the entire work, with emphasis on Henry Jenkins, Scolari, Williams, Bruns, Couldry, Deuze, Carpentier and Andrejevier. It concludes with low productivity on the subject and with strong influences from the pioneer Henry Jenkins, who is the most cited, recited and co-cited author among all cited authors.

Resumo: Esta pesquisa analisa a “cultura da convergência” por meio de indicadores bibliométricos de produção, citação e relacional de cocitação autores. De maneira específica, avalia a produção científica utilizando indicadores de produção e citação, e, caracteriza os principais influentes sobre a temática por meio da análise de cocitação entre autores. Para isso, realizou buscas pelo termo convergence culture na base de dados Web of Science e avaliou a produção de artigos entre os anos de 2008 e 2021, juntamente com as citações recebidas e revela, por meio da análise de cocitação de autores, os principais influentes sobre a temática. Para análise das cocitações, utiliza o conceito de recitações diacrônicas de autores por documento para construção da estrutura intelectual do domínio em questão. Apresenta, enquanto resultado, uma baixa produtividade de artigos próxima a saturação, 34% dos artigos sem citações recebidas e com clara desaceleração das citações por artigo. Ilustra que a estrutura intelectual da temática é composta por 46 autores mais recitados em toda obra com destaque para Henry Jenkins, Scolari, Willians, Bruns, Couldry, Deuze e Carpentier. Conclui baixa produtividade sobre a temática e com fortes influências do pioneiro Henry Jenkins, sendo este o autor mais citado, recitado e cocitado dentre todos autores citados.

ABSTRACT This article presents an interdisciplinary and ongoing research in the public field addressing the political-institutional process around the foundation of the so-called “novíssimas” (or brand new) Brazilian federal universities (Federal University of Cariri, Federal University of South of Bahia, Federal University of West of Bahia, and Federal University of South and Southeast of Pará) in 2013. The lessons learned so far from this ongoing research are presented in this article in the format of a poem inspired by Brazilian cordel literature. The methodology consisted of case studies approaching each of the four universities. Preliminary results were placed into four groups: the vision of territory based on social unity, the consideration of local needs as an opportunity, the socio-centric action aimed at contextualizing education, and the plurality of social actors in the search for universalization of access to the university. The cordel poem synthesizes the lessons learned and is a creative and innovative expression influencing the production and dissemination of multidisciplinary or interdisciplinary scientific knowledge in the Public Field.

RESUMEN Este trabajo tiene como objetivo presentar, en un ensayo en formato de literatura de cordel, los aprendizajes de una investigación interdisciplinaria y en curso para el Campo de las Ciencias Públicas sobre el análisis del proceso político-institucional de las novísimas universidades federales brasileñas (Universidade Federal do Cariri, Universidade Federal do Sul da Bahia, Universidade Federal do Oeste da Bahia e Universidade Federal do Sul e Sudeste do Pará) en 2013. Aun considerando los resultados preliminares de la investigación, la redacción ensayística de un cordel sirvió para presentar creativa y poéticamente los alcances de la visión interdisciplinaria para la investigación y para el campo de las ciencias públicas. La ruta metodológica seguida fue la realización de estudios de caso para cada universidad analizada. Los resultados preliminares permiten su organización en cuatro grupos: la visión del territorio a partir de la unidad social, la consideración de las necesidades locales como oportunidad, la acción sociocéntrica encaminada a contextualizar la educación y la pluralidad de actores sociales en la búsqueda de la universalización de la universidad. El propio texto de cordel se presenta como resultado principal de este trabajo, que manifiesta este tipo de producción textual y científica como formas creativas e innovadoras de crear y difundir conocimientos científicos, multi o interdisciplinarios, propios del Campo de las Ciencias Públicas.

ABSTRACT Coronary artery fistula draining into the coronary sinus is a rare vascular malformation, and its diagnosis and clinical manifestations usually occur late. We describe the case of a 72-year-old female patient with dyspnea on exertion (New York Heart Association Class III) associated with palpitations. The transthoracic echocardiogram showed significant tricuspid insufficiency. Cardiac catheterization showed aneurysm of the circumflex coronary artery and fistula of this artery draining into the coronary sinus. The patient underwent fistula ligation and tricuspid valve repair, with excellent surgical results.

Resumo O objetivo deste artigo é avaliar a associação entre fatores socioeconômicos, organização dos serviços de saúde e a utilização de um sistema de gestão e monitoramento da dispensação de antibióticos prescritos por cirurgiões-dentistas em Minas Gerais, Brasil. Estudo epidemiológico ecológico que analisou dados secundários do Sistema Integrado de Gestão da Assistência Farmacêutica (SIGAF) da Secretaria de Estado de Saúde de MG, Brasil, em 2017. Treze variáveis independentes foram analisadas para testar a influência destas com a adesão dos municípios ao SIGAF das prescrições odontológicas de antibióticos. Foram realizadas análises estatísticas descritivas, e a técnica de Árvore de Classificação e Regressão foi utilizada. Foram examinadas 57.279 prescrições de antibióticos prescritos por dentistas e registradas no SIGAF. Fatores socioeconômicos não foram associados ao uso do SIGAF para registro dessas prescrições. A cobertura de saúde bucal esteve positivamente associada à utilização do SIGAF para as dispensações de antibióticos prescritos por cirurgiões-dentistas. A presença de Centro De Especialidade Odontológica, esteve negativamente associado ao desfecho. Municípios com maior cobertura de saúde bucal e sem Centro de Especialidade Odontológica foram mais propensos a utilizar o SIGAF.

Abstract This article aims to investigate the association between socioeconomic factors, health care organizations, and the use of a management and monitoring system for the dispensing of antibiotics prescribed by dentists in public health services in Minas Gerais, Brazil. This is an ecological-epidemiological study that analyzed secondary data from the Integrated Pharmaceutical Care Management System (SIGAF) of the Department of Health of the state of MG, Brazil, in 2017. Thirteen independent variables were analyzed to assess their influence on municipal adherence to SIGAF system considering dental prescriptions of antibiotics. Descriptive statistical analyses were performed, and the Classification and Regression Tree technique was used to identify the municipal variables associated with the outcome. A total of 57,279 antibiotic courses prescribed by dentists and recorded in SIGAF were examined. Socioeconomic factors were not associated with the use of SIGAF to record these prescriptions. Oral healthcare coverage was positively associated with the use of SIGAF for the dispensing of antibiotics prescribed by dentists. Dental Specialties Center were negatively associated with the outcome. Municipalities with high oral healthcare coverage and those without a Dental Specialties Center were more likely to use SIGAF.

Abstract The objective of this study was to analyze possible associations between antibiotic dental prescriptions in the public health service, health service characteristics, and social characteristics of the municipalities. Using the register of dispensing in the public health service of a state in the Southeast region of Brazil, in 2017 we analyzed patterns of antibiotic prescriptions by dentists. Data were obtained from the Integrated Pharmaceutical Services Management System (SIGAF, in Portuguese). The outcome variable was the number of Daily Defined Doses (DDD) per 1,000 residents/year in each municipality. CART (Classification and Regression Tree) technique was used to determine the influence of the following variables: populational social characteristics (Human Development Index, Gini Index, the proportion of rural population and proportion of families benefiting from the Bolsa Família Program) and oral health services characteristics (access to individual dental care, number of dentists and oral health teams per 1,000 residents, and percentage of preventive and restorative individual dental procedures. Data analysis was performed using IBM SPSS Statistics 21.0. Antibiotics were the medications most prescribed by dentists in the public health service, with penicillin being the most frequently prescribed class. The average DDD/1,000 residents/year for the 421 municipalities surveyed was 96.54 (range 0.008 and 619.660). Select factors were associated with antibiotic prescriptions including access to individual dental care (Adjusted p-value ≤0.001), a number of oral health teams/1,000 inhabitants (Adjusted p-value=0.001), and Gini Index (Adjusted p-value = 0.046). Access to oral health services and inequality were associated with the use of antibiotics.

Resumo O objetivo deste trabalho foi selecionar, simultaneamente, híbridos pré-comerciais de sorgo granífero com alta adaptabilidade e estabilidade da produção de grãos, por meio de modelagem mista, em 20 ambientes, por seis anos. O material vegetal avaliado consistia de 57 híbridos comerciais de sorgo granífero. Em todos os experimentos, os híbridos foram arranjados em delineamento fatorial triplo; alguns experimentos utilizaram um fatorial 6x6, e outros, um fatorial 5x5. Os parâmetros de adaptabilidade e estabilidade foram obtidos com base na predição por média harmônica da performance relativa dos valores genéticos (MHPRVG). Os modelos mistos mostraram-se adequados para analisar a interação genótipo x ambiente (GxE) e os estudos de adaptabilidade e estabilidade genotípica do sorgo granífero. Os híbridos que se destacam, considerando-se todos os ambientes, são 1G282, A9904, 50A50, A9902 e XB6022. O híbrido A9904 destaca-se em ambientes favoráveis, com rendimento de grãos acima da média. Apenas 1G282 está entre os cinco melhores híbridos para cada grupo de ambientes e é o melhor híbrido de sorgo granífero quanto ao rendimento, à adaptabilidade e à estabilidade. Os valores genotípicos preditos com base em médias genotípicas podem ser usados em relação aos ambientes com o mesmo padrão de interação GxE por estarem livres da interação GxE.

Abstract The objective of this work was to simultaneously select pre-commercial grain sorghum hybrids with high adaptability and yield stability, through mixed modeling, in 20 environments, during six years. The evaluated plant material consisted of 57 commercial grain sorghum hybrids. In all experiments, hybrids were arranged in a triple lattice design; some experiments used a 6x6 lattice, and others, a 5x5 lattice. Adaptability and stability parameters were obtained based on the prediction by harmonic mean of the relative performance of genotypic values (HMRPGV). The mixed models proved to be adequate to analyze the genotype x environment (GxE) interaction and the genotypic adaptability and stability studies on grain sorghum. The hybrids that stand out, considering all environments are 1G282, A9904, 50A50, A9902, and XB6022. The A9904 hybrid stands out in favorable environments, with a grain yield above average. Only 1G282 is among the five best hybrids for each group of environments, and it is the best grain sorghum hybrid for yield performance, adaptability, and stability. The predicted genotypic values based on genotypic means can be used in the environments with the same GxE interaction pattern because they are free of the GxE interaction.

RESUMO: O trânsito de plantas infestadas pode favorecer a introdução de herbívoros em regiões livres de pragas. Neste estudo, relata-se a presença de ácaros-praga em Dendrobium phalaenopsis Fitzg. Os ácaros foram coletados de folhas de orquídeas com danos. Identificou-se Brevipalpus californicus (BANKS, 1904) (sensu latu), Brevipalpus yothersi Baker, 1949 e Tenuipalpus orchidofilo Moraes & Freire, 2001 (Tenuipalpidae). Até o momento, essas espécies não haviam sido registradas em D. phalaenopsis. O estudo alerta sobre a importância de cuidados fitossanitários adequados para o cultivo e comercialização de orquídeas, uma vez que esses ácaros também podem infestar outras plantas cultivadas, além de danificar orquídeas.

ABSTRACT: The transit of infested plants may favor the introduction of herbivores into pest-free regions. In this study, we reported the occurrence of pest mites in Dendrobium phalaenopsis Fitzg. Mites were collected from orchid leaves with lesions. We identified Brevipalpus californicus (Banks, 1904) (sensu latu), Brevipalpus yothersi Baker, 1949 and Tenuipalpus orchidofilo Moraes & Freire, 2001 (Tenuipalpidae). These species had not been registered in D. phalaenopsis. This study reinforces the importance of adequate phytosanitary care for orchid cultivation, since these mites can infest other cultivated plants and damage orchids.

BACKGROUND In Brazil, the yellow fever virus (YFV) is maintained in a sylvatic cycle involving wild mosquitoes and non-human primates (NHPs). The virus is endemic to the Amazon region; however, waves of epidemic expansion reaching other Brazilian states sporadically occur, eventually causing spillovers to humans. OBJECTIVES To report a surveillance effort that led to the first confirmation of YFV in NHPs in the state of Minas Gerais (MG), Southeast region, in 2021. METHODS A surveillance network was created, encompassing the technology of smartphone applications and coordinated actions of several research institutions and health services to monitor and investigate NHP epizootics. FINDINGS When alerts were spread through the network, samples from NHPs were collected and YFV infection confirmed by reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) and genome sequencing at an interval of only 10 days. Near-complete genomes were generated using the Nanopore MinION sequencer. Phylogenetic analysis indicated that viral genomes were related to the South American genotype I, clustering with a genome detected in the Amazon region (state of Pará) in 2017, named YFVPA/MG sub-lineage. Fast YFV confirmation potentialised vaccination campaigns. MAIN CONCLUSIONS A new YFV introduction was detected in MG 6 years after the beginning of the major outbreak reported in the state (2015-2018). The YFV strain was not related to the sub-lineages previously reported in MG. No human cases have been reported, suggesting the importance of coordinated surveillance of NHPs using available technologies and supporting laboratories to ensure a quick response and implementation of contingency measures to avoid YFV spillover to humans.

RESUMO Objetivo: Avaliar o impacto da pandemia de COVID-19 nos indicadores de internação e mortalidade hospitalar em idosos com fraturas do fêmur proximal. Métodos: Estudo observacional e retrospectivo, que ocorreu de junho de 2016 a 2020. Foram incluídos pacientes de ambos os sexos submetidos ao tratamento cirúrgico para fratura da extremidade proximal do fêmur, com idade acima de 60 anos. Resultados: A população foi composta por 379 pacientes, atendidos antes (grupo 1; N = 278; 73,35%) e durante a pandemia (grupo 2; N = 101; 26,65%). Foi verificada maior mortalidade no grupo 2 (N = 24; 23,8%) versus o grupo 1 (N = 10; 3,6%), p < 0,001. A maior proporção de óbitos no grupo 2 se manteve nos pacientes com 70-79 anos (p = 0,011), 80-89 anos (p ≤ 0,001) e > 90 anos (p ≤ 0,001). Os períodos pré-operatório e de permanência hospitalar foram maiores no grupo 2 em comparação ao grupo 1 (p ≤ 0,001). Conclusão: Este estudo demonstrou que o período pandêmico aumentou a taxa de mortalidade e o tempo pré-operatório e de internação em pacientes idosos com fratura do fêmur. Dessa forma, a pandemia tem afetado o atendimento das fraturas do fêmur proximal em idosos, o que reforça a necessidade da adoção de medidas de redução de complicações e mortalidade. ABSTRACT Objective: To evaluate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on hospital admission and mortality indicators in older adults with fractures of the proximal femur. Methods: Observational and retrospective study that took place from June 2016 to 2020. Patients of both genders who underwent surgical treatment for fractures of the proximal end of the femur, aged over 60 years, were included. Results: The population consisted of 379 patients, treated before (group 1; N = 278; 73.35%) and during the pandemic (group 2; N = 101; 26.65%). Higher mortality was observed in group 2 (N = 24; 23.8%) versus group 1 (N = 10; 3.6%), p < 0.001. The highest proportion of deaths in group 2 was maintained in patients aged 70-79 years (p = 0.011), 80-89 years (p ≤ 0.001) and > 90 years (p ≤ 0.001). In addition, the preoperative time and hospital stay were longer in group 2 compared to group 1 (p ≤ 0.001). Conclusion: The present study demonstrated that the pandemic period increased the mortality rate and the preoperative and hospitalization time in older patients with femur fractures. Thus, the pandemic has affected the care of fractures of the proximal femur in older adults, which reinforces the need to adopt measures to reduce complications and mortality. RESUMO A dificuldade de aplicação da Lei nº 12.990/2014 nas universidades federais tem chamado atenção da comunidade científica. Nesse sentido, o presente estudo buscou compreender como se deu sua implementação na Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. As informações foram coletadas diretamente no site de concurso da instituição. Como resultado, foi possível identificar que a combinação do racismo institucional com a ideologia do mérito impediu a adequada aplicação da norma. Por outro lado, também pode identificar-se a não observância dos dispositivos legais existentes que garantem a máxima eficácia da norma. A gramática do racismo institucional segue por caminhos muito precisos e a contratação de apenas um docente negro demonstra seu vetor.

ABSTRACT The difficulties of implementing Law No. 12990/2014 in federal universities have been calling the attention of the scientific community. In this regard, the present study sought to understand how its implementation took place at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. The information was collected directly from the institution’s tender website. As a result, it was possible to identify that the combination of institutional racism and the ideology of merit prevented the proper application of the norm. On the other hand, the non-observance of the existing legal provisions that guarantee the maximum effectiveness of the norm can also be seen. The grammar of institutional racism follows precise tracks and the hiring of only one black faculty member demonstrates its vector.

RESUMEN Este estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar la eficacia de diferentes principios activos de preemergencia sobre la supresión del banco de semillas de malezas y el crecimiento de la soya. Los experimentos se llevaron a cabo en una finca de producción agrícola comercial ubicada en el municipio de Brejo (MA, Brasil), durante la cosecha 2019/2020. El diseño experimental fue en bloques al azar con nueve tratamientos y cuatro repeticiones. Los tratamientos consistieron en el control (sin aplicación de preemergencia), S-metolaclor, flumioxazin + imazetapir, flumioxazin, imazetapir, trifluralin, diclosulam, diclosulam + imazetapir, y clomazona + carfentrazone-etil. Se realizaron estudios fitosociológicos antes y después de la siembra (10 y 36 d después de la aplicación - DDA) para controlar la competencia entre malezas. Se identificaron 19 especies de malezas, distribuidas en 17 géneros y 13 familias botánicas. Las especies Scoparia dulcis, Richardia scabra y Cyperus iria obtuvieron los índices fitosociológicos más altos (123.77, 28.62 y 28.29, respectivamente), estimados a los 36 DDA. La flumioxazina y el diclosulam fueron los más eficientes en la supresión de la competencia de malezas, con solo 15.63 y 16.13 plantas m-2. Las puntuaciones más altas de fitotoxicidad (3.0) se encontraron a los 10 DDA con la aplicación de S-metolaclor, flumioxazina + imazetapir, trifluralina y diclosulam + imazetapir. Se recomienda el control preemergente con flumioxazina y diclosulam para las condiciones edafoclimáticas en la mesorregión este del estado de Maranhão, Brasil.

ABSTRACT This study aimed to analyze the efficacy of different pre-emergence active ingredients on the suppression of the weed seed bank and the growth of soybeans. The experiments were carried out on a commercial farm located in Brejo (MA, Brazil), during the 2019/2020 harvest. The experiment was designed in randomized blocks with nine treatments and four replicates. The treatments consisted of control (without pre-emergence application), s-metolachlor, flumioxazin + imazethapyr, flu-mioxazin, imazethapyr, trifluralin, diclosulam, diclosulam + imazethapyr, and clomazone + carfentrazone-ethyl. Phytosociological surveys were carried out in pre- and post-planting (10 and 36 d after application - DAA) to control weed competition. Nineteen species of weeds were identified, distributed in 17 genera and 13 botanical families. The species Scoparia dulcis, Richardia scabra, and Cyperus iria exhibited the highest phy-tosociological indices (123.77, 28.62, and 28.29, respectively), estimated at 36 DAA. Flumioxazin and diclosulam were the most efficient in suppressing weed competition, with only 15.63 and 16.13 plants m-2. The highest phytotoxicity scores (3.0) were found at 10 DAA with the application of s-metolachlor, flumioxazin + imazethapyr, trifluralin, and diclosulam + imazethapyr. The pre-emergent control using flumioxazin and diclosulam is recommended for the edaphoclimatic conditions in the Eastern mesoregion of the state of Maranhão, Brazil.

Objective: To analyze aspects related to positivity for schistosomiasis in an area of low prevalence in Brazil. Methods: Cross-sectional study, carried out in the first half of 2020, where proportion of positivity was analyzed according to the number of Kato-Katz slides, the diagnostic performance of the test and the creation of a positivity estimation factor from the data of the Information from the Schistosomiasis Surveillance and Control Program (SISPCE). Results: 2,088 slides from 348 individuals were analyzed, with proportion of positivity of 11.8%, 26.7% and 31.0% for 1, 4 and 6 slides analyzed, respectively. There was excellent agreement (Kappa = 0.91) between the reading of 4 and 6 slides. An underreporting of 2.1 times was estimated in the SISPCE data. Conclusion: Increasing the number of blades increased the positivity of Kato-Katz, which can contribute to maximize the control of the disease as a public health problem.

Objetivo: Analisar aspectos relacionados com a positividade para esquistossomose em área de baixa prevalência, no Brasil. Métodos: Estudo transversal, realizado no primeiro semestre de 2020, quando foram analisadas a proporção de positividade, em função do número de lâminas de Kato-Katz, o desempenho diagnóstico do teste e a estimação da positividade a partir dos dados do Sistema de Informação do Programa de Vigilância e Controle da Esquistossomose (SISPCE). Resultados: Foram analisadas 2.088 lâminas de 348 indivíduos, sendo a proporção de positividade de 11,8%, 26,7% e 31,0% para 1, 4 e 6 lâminas analisadas, respectivamente. Houve concordância excelente (índice Kappa = 0,91) na comparação entre as leituras de 4 e 6 lâminas. Foi estimada subnotificação de 2,1 vezes nos dados do SISPCE. Conclusão: Ampliar o número de lâminas aumentou a positividade do Kato-Katz, o que pode contribuir para maximizar o controle da doença enquanto problema de Saúde Pública.

Abstract The objective of this study was to describe dental prescriptions of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID), opioids, and analgesics dispensed by the Brazilian National Health System (BNHS, SUS in Portuguese) of a Southeastern state from January to December 2017, and to analyze their association with socioeconomic and oral health care services’ characteristics at municipal level. Data were collected from the Brazilian Integrated Pharmaceutical Care Management System. Medicines were grouped according to the Anatomical Therapeutic Chemical Classification System. The total number of Defined Daily Doses (DDD) and DDD per 1,000 inhabitants (inhab.) per year were presented and compared between groups of municipalities. Data analysis used the Classification and Regression Tree model performed with IBM SPSS 25.0. The total number of NSAID, opioids, and analgesics prescriptions was 70,747 and accounted for 354,221.13 DDD. The most frequently prescribed medicine was ibuprofen (n = 24,676; 34.88%). The number of dental practitioners in the BNHS per 1,000 inhab. (p < 0.001), first dental appointment coverage (p = 0.010), oral health teams per 1,000 inhab. (p=0.022), and the proportion of rural population (p = 0.014) were variables positively associated with the number of DDD of NSAID per 1,000 inhab. per year. Bolsa Família program coverage per 1,000 inhab. (p = 0.022) was negatively associated with NSAID prescription. Regarding analgesics, first dental appointment coverage (p=0.002) and Bolsa Família program coverage per 1,000 inhab. (p = 0.012) were positively associated with DDD per 1,000 inhab. per year. In conclusion, dental prescriptions of analgesics and NSAID in the BNHS were associated with socioeconomic and oral health care services’ characteristics.
