Abstract Plasticulture improves crop quality and yield through polymeric films, but their improper disposal harms the environment due to humidity and contamination. This study aimed to develop biodegradable mulch films using soybean and peanut hulls and poly (butylene-adipate-co-terephthalate) (PBAT). The residues were characterized by thermogravimetric analysis and mulch films were evaluated by water absorption, contact angle and mechanical properties. The thermal behavior of the residues indicated stability below 200ºC. The agro-waste improved hydrophobicity but increased the water absorption values of the films by up to 18.5x (PBAT/SH5 after 14 days). Micrographs obtained by scanning electron microscopy indicated an important distribution of residue particles and formation of agglomerates, leading to lower mechanical performance. The study found that agro-industrial residues in powder form can be added to the polymeric matrix to produce biodegradable mulch films through traditional processing techniques. This approach has the potential to contribute to a more sustainable production system.

Abstract Objective To assess the efficacy, safety, and acceptability of misoprostol in the treatment of incomplete miscarriage. Data sources The PubMed, Scopus, Embase, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, and Clinical Trials databases (clinicaltrials.gov) were searched for the relevant articles, and search strategies were developed using a combination of thematic Medical Subject Headings terms and text words. The last search was conducted on July 4, 2022. No language restrictions were applied. Selection of studies Randomized clinical trials with patients of gestational age up to 6/7 weeks with a diagnosis of incomplete abortion and who were managed with at least 1 of the 3 types of treatment studied were included. A total of 8,087 studies were screened. Data collection Data were synthesized using the statistical package Review Manager V.5.1 (The Cochrane Collaboration, Oxford, United Kingdom). For dichotomous outcomes, the odds ratio (OR) and 95% confidence interval (CI) were derived for each study. Heterogeneity between the trial results was evaluated using the standard test, I2 statistic. Data synthesis When comparing misoprostol with medical vacuum aspiration (MVA), the rate of complete abortion was higher in the MVA group (OR = 0.16; 95%CI = 0.07–0.36). Hemorrhage or heavy bleeding was more common in the misoprostol group (OR = 3.00; 95%CI = 1.96–4.59), but pain after treatment was more common in patients treated with MVA (OR = 0.65; 95%CI = 0.52–0.80). No statistically significant differences were observed in the general acceptability of the treatments. Conclusion Misoprostol has been determined as a safe option with good acceptance by patients.

Resumo Objetivo Avaliar a eficácia, segurança e aceitabilidade do misoprostol no tratamento do aborto incompleto. Fontes de dados Os bancos de dados PubMed, Scopus, Embase, Web of Science, Cochrane Library e bancos de dados de Ensaios Clínicos (clinicaltrials.gov) foram pesquisados para os artigos relevantes, e estratégias de busca foram desenvolvidas usando uma combinação de termos temáticos de Medical Subject Headings e palavras de texto. A última pesquisa foi realizada em 4 de julho de 2022. Nenhuma restrição de idioma foi aplicada. Seleção dos estudos Foram incluídos ensaios clínicos randomizados com pacientes com idade gestacional até 6/7 semanas com diagnóstico de aborto incompleto e que foram manejadas com pelo menos um dos três tipos de tratamento estudados. Um total de 8.087 estudos foram selecionados. Coleta de dados Os dados foram sintetizados usando o pacote estatístico Review Manager V.5.1 (The Cochrane Collaboration, Oxford, United Kingdom). Para resultados dicotômicos, o odds ratio (OR, na sigla em inglês) e o intervalo de confiança (IC) de 95% foram derivados para cada estudo. A heterogeneidade entre os resultados do ensaio foi avaliada usando o teste padrão, estatística I2. Síntese dos dados Ao comparar misoprostol com aspiração a vácuo médico (MVA, na sigla em inglês), a taxa de aborto completo foi maior no grupo MVA (OR = 0,16; IC95% = 0,07–0,36). Hemorragia ou sangramento intenso foi mais comum no grupo do misoprostol (OR = 3,00; 95%CI = 1,96–4,59), mas a dor após o tratamento foi mais comum em pacientes tratados com MVA (OR = 0,65; 95%CI = 0,52–0,80). Não foram observadas diferenças estatisticamente significativas na aceitabilidade geral dos tratamentos. Conclusão O misoprostol tem se mostrado uma opção segura e com boa aceitação pelos pacientes.

Abstract Sheep production systems face numerous challenges, which make decision-making a process fraught with risks and uncertainties. Modelling is a helpful tool in this respect, as it allows decision-makers to evaluate the behaviour of variables and their interrelationships, in addition to using previous or related information to predict results and simulate different scenarios. The advent of prediction models has made it possible to monitor the weight of an animal and determine the best time for its sale. Additionally, it allows producers to estimate the weights of the carcass and major marketable cuts before slaughter. All this information is directly associated with the profitability and success of the production activity. Therefore, in view of the different applications of mathematical models in production systems, this literature review examines concepts in modelling studies and the importance of using prediction models in meat sheep production. Furthermore, it addresses the practical application of modelling studies in predicting dry matter intake and carcass traits of meat sheep through correlated variables.

Resumen Los sistemas de producción ovina se enfrentan a numerosos desafíos, que hacen de la toma de decisiones un proceso lleno de riesgos e incertidumbres. En este sentido, la modelación es una herramienta útil, ya que permite a los tomadores de decisiones evaluar el comportamiento de las variables y sus interrelaciones, además de utilizar información previa o relacionada para predecir resultados y simular diferentes escenarios. El advenimiento de los modelos de predicción ha permitido monitorear el peso de un animal y determinar el mejor momento para su venta. Además, permite a los productores estimar los pesos de la canal y los principales cortes comercializables antes del sacrificio. Toda esta información está directamente asociada a la rentabilidad y el éxito de la actividad productiva. Por lo tanto, en vista de las diferentes aplicaciones de los modelos matemáticos en los sistemas de producción, esta revisión de la literatura examina los conceptos en los estudios de modelación y la importancia de utilizar modelos de predicción en la producción de ovinos de carne. Además, aborda la aplicación práctica de los estudios de modelación en la predicción de la ingesta de materia seca y los rasgos de la canal de ovinos de carne a través de variables correlacionadas.

Abstract We aimed to determine the herd and animal levels seroprevalence and associated factors for Toxoplasma gondii infections in cattle from the state of Paraíba, Northeastern Brazil. Herds (n = 434) and cows aged ≥ 24 months (n = 1,895) were randomly selected, and serum samples were tested with the immunofluorescence antibody test (IFAT) using as cutoff of 64. Of the 434 farms investigated, 197 had at least one seropositive cow (prevalence of 49.0%; 95% CI = 44.3%-53.8%), and the prevalence at animal level was 18.0% (95% CI = 5.3%-21.1%). The antibody titers ranged from 64 to 1024, with the most frequent titers being 64 (10.8%) and 128 (3.7%). The risk factors identified were property located in Sertão region (odds ratio [OR] = 3.07), property located in Agreste/Zona da Mata regions (OR = 2.00), animal purchasing (OR = 2.68), herd size of 34-111 animals (OR = 2.91) and herd size > 111 animals (OR = 6.97). The results suggest the wide distribution of T. gondii infections in cattle throughout the state of Paraíba, and the risk factors identified are not possible to correct.

Resumo Objetivou-se determinar a soroprevalência do rebanhos e de animais e os fatores associados à infecção por Toxoplasma gondii em bovinos do estado da Paraíba, Nordeste do Brasil. Rebanhos (n = 434) e vacas com idade ≥ 24 meses (n = 1.895) foram selecionados aleatoriamente, e as amostras de soro foram testadas com o teste de imunofluorescência (RIFI), usando-se como ponto de corte 64. Das 434 fazendas investigadas, 197 tiveram pelo menos uma vaca soropositiva (prevalência de 49%; IC 95% = 44,3%-53,8%), e a prevalência em nível de animais foi de 18% (IC 95% = 5,3%-21,1%). Os títulos de anticorpos variaram de 64 a 1024, sendo os títulos mais frequentes 64 (10,8%) e 128 (3,7%). Os fatores de risco identificados foram na propriedade localizada na região do Sertão ("odds ratio" [OR] = 3,07), na propriedade localizada na região do Agreste/Zona da Mata (OR = 2,00), na compra de animais (OR = 2,68), no tamanho do rebanho de 34-111 animais (OR = 2,91) e no tamanho do rebanho > 111 animais (OR = 6,97). Os resultados sugerem a ampla distribuição de infecções por T. gondii em bovinos em todo o estado da Paraíba, e os fatores de risco identificados não são passíveis de correção.

SUMMARY OBJECTIVE: The objective of this study was to determine adverse maternal and perinatal outcomes in pregnant women with hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. METHODS: An analytical cross-sectional study was conducted on women admitted with hypertensive disorders of pregnancies to a university maternity hospital from August 2020 to August 2022. Data were collected using a pretested structured questionnaire. Variables associated with adverse maternal and perinatal outcomes were compared using multivariable binomial regression. RESULTS: Of 501 women with pregnancies, 2, 35, 14, and 49% had eclampsia, preeclampsia, chronic hypertension, and gestational hypertension, respectively. Women with preeclampsia/eclampsia had significantly higher risks of cesarean section (79.4 vs. 65%; adjusted RR, 2,139; 95%CI, 1,386–3,302; p=0.001) and preterm delivery at <34 weeks’ gestation (20.5 vs. 6%; adjusted RR, 2.5; 95%CI, 1.19–5.25; p=0.01) than those of women with chronic/gestational hypertension. Risks of prolonged maternal hospitalization (43.9 vs. 27.1%), neonatal intensive care unit admission (30.7 vs. 19.8%), and perinatal mortality (23.5 vs. 11.2%) were higher among women with preeclampsia/eclampsia. CONCLUSIONS: Women with preeclampsia/eclampsia had a higher risk of adverse maternal and neonatal outcomes than those with chronic or gestational hypertension. This major maternity care center requires strategies for preventing and managing preeclampsia/eclampsia to improve pregnancy outcomes.

ABSTRACT Objective: to analyze the time trends of viral hepatitis cases notified from 2010 to 2019 in Mato Grosso - BR. Method: an epidemiological study of the ecological type, with data collection in the Notifiable Diseases Information System. For the analysis of the time trend, a logarithmic transformation of the coefficients and the Prais-Winsten procedure for generalized linear regression analysis were performed. Results: 9,043 viral hepatitis cases were recorded: Hepatitis A (13.62%), Hepatitis B (67.19%), Hepatitis C (18.07%) and Hepatitis D (0.49%), with no Hepatitis E records. The prevalence of cases notified was higher in 2014 (12.36%) and lower in 2018 (8.16%). Hepatitis C (95% CI: 2.5; 3.4) was the only one with an increasing trend, while Hepatitis A (95% CI: -4.8; -4.6), Hepatitis B (95% CI: -0.9; -1.2) and Hepatitis D (95% CI:-0.2; -3.9) presented a decreasing trend. Conclusion: in view of their trends and incidence, it is concluded that it is indispensable to continue and improve coping actions to eradicate these diseases in the state.

RESUMEN Objetivo: analizar las tendencias temporales de los casos notificados de hepatitis viral en Mato Grosso, Brasil, de 2010 a 2019. Método: estudio epidemiológico de tipo ecológico, con recolección de datos en el Sistema de Información de Enfermedades de Información Obligatoria. Para el análisis de tendencia temporal se realizó una transformación logarítmica de los coeficientes y el procedimiento de Prais-Winsten para el análisis de regresión lineal generalizada. Resultados: se registraron 9.043 casos de hepatitis viral: hepatitis A (13,62%), B (67,19%), C (18,07%), D (0,49%) y ningún registro de hepatitis E. Hubo mayor prevalencia de casos notificados en 2014 (12,36%) y menor en 2018 (8,16%). La hepatitis C (IC 95% 2,5; 3,4) fue la única con tendencia creciente, mientras que la A (IC 95% -4,8; -4,6), B (IC 95% -0,9; -1,2) y D (IC 95% - 0.2; -3.9) mostraron una tendencia decreciente. Conclusión: es fundamental continuar y mejorar las acciones de afrontamiento para eliminar estas enfermedades en el estado, dadas las tendencias e incidencia que tienen.

Conclusão: conclui-se que é imprescindível a continuidade e melhoria das ações de enfrentamento para eliminação desses agravos no estado em face de suas tendências e incidência.

Trigger point dry needling increases masseter muscle oxygenation in patients with temporomandibular disorder

Abstract Background: Temporomandibular disorder (TMD) is an umbrella term encompassing various clinical complaints involving the temporomandibular joints, masticatory muscles, and/or associated orofacial structures. Myogenous TMDs are the most frequent cause of chronic orofacial pain. Musculoskeletal pain is commonly associated with myofascial trigger points (MTPs), for which dry needling (DN) is a routine treatment. Objective: To investigate muscle oxygenation and pain immediately after DN application on an MTP in the masseter muscle of patients with myogenous TMDs. Methodology: Masseter muscle oxygen tissue saturation indices (TSI%) were assessed by near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) pre- and post-interventions by a randomized, controlled, double-blind, crossover DN/Sham clinical trial (primary outcome). Pain was investigated by the visual analog scale (VAS). In total, 32 individuals aged from 18 to 37 years who were diagnosed with myogenous TMD and myofascial trigger points in their masseter muscles participated in this study. Relative deltas for the studied variables were calculated. Data normality was tested using the Shapiro-Wilk test. According to their distribution, data were analyzed by two-way ANOVA and the Student's t-, and Mann-Whitney tests. Statistical analyses were performed using Prism® 5.0 (GraphPad, USA). Results: We found a significant difference (2,108% vs. 0,142%) between masseter muscle TSI% deltas after the DN and Sham interventions, respectively (n=24). We only evaluated women since men refused to follow NIRS procedures. Pain increased immediately after DN (n=32, 8 men), in comparison to Sham delta VAS. Conclusion: These findings show an increase in tissue oxygen saturation in the evaluated sample immediately after the DN intervention on the MTP of patients’ masseter muscle. Pain may have increased immediately after DN due to the needling procedure.

Abstract Objective To evaluate clinical characteristics and outcomes of COVID-19 patients infected with HIV, and to compare with a paired sample without HIV infection. Methods This is a substudy of a Brazilian multicentric cohort that comprised two periods (2020 and 2021). Data was obtained through the retrospective review of medical records. Primary outcomes were admission to the intensive care unit, invasive mechanical ventilation, and death. Patients with HIV and controls were matched for age, sex, number of comorbidities, and hospital of origin using the technique of propensity score matching (up to 4:1). They were compared using the Chi-Square or Fisher's Exact tests for categorical variables and the Wilcoxon for numerical variables. Results Throughout the study, 17,101 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, and 130 (0.76%) of those were infected with HIV. The median age was 54 (IQR: 43.0;64.0) years in 2020 and 53 (IQR: 46.0;63.5) years in 2021, with a predominance of females in both periods. People Living with HIV (PLHIV) and their controls showed similar prevalence for admission to the ICU and invasive mechanical ventilation requirement in the two periods, with no significant differences. In 2020, in-hospital mortality was higher in the PLHIV compared to the controls (27.9% vs. 17.7%; p = 0.049), but there was no difference in mortality between groups in 2021 (25.0% vs. 25.1%; p > 0.999). Conclusions Our results reiterate that PLHIV were at higher risk of COVID-19 mortality in the early stages of the pandemic, however, this finding did not sustain in 2021, when the mortality rate is similar to the control group.

Abstract Introduction Understanding all the benefits of bimodality with self-assessment questionnaires on the effect of hearing on quality of life is still necessary. Objective To present whether bimodality still offers hearing benefits to the population who uses acoustic stimulation associated with electrical stimulation. Methods The present study included 13 participants aged between 16 and 80 years old who were users of cochlear implants from Cochlear Corporation and hearing aids. All patients underwent the Hearing in Noise Test, and their visual analog scale score was obtained. Four-tone means were collected, and the participants answered the Speech, Spatial and Hearing Qualities questionnaire. Results Bimodal users had an average sentence recognition rate of 76.0% in silence and 67.6% in fixed noise, and the signal-to-noise ratio in adaptive noise was +2.89dB. In addition, a lower level of difficulty was observed in the test using the visual analog scale. The domain with the highest average was auditory qualities (6.50), followed by spatial hearing (6.26) and hearing for speech (5.81). Individuals with an average between 50 and 70 dB of hearing level showed better sentence recognition in silence and noise. Conclusion Bimodal stimulation showed benefits for users with different degrees of hearing loss; however, individuals who presented greater hearing residue had better performance in speech recognition with noise and in silence in addition to a good perception of hearing quality.

ABSTRACT Purpose: to investigate, examine and synthesize evidence from studies on permanent education for health professionals aimed at the covid-19 pandemic. Methods: six national and international indexed sources will be searched. The review will include studies with any methodological approach, addressing permanent education for health professionals during the covid-19 pandemic. The context of health services in any scenario will be considered - national or international primary, specialized, or hospital healthcare. Final Considerations: research results are expected to reveal the topics approached in permanent health education in various national and international contexts. The review will also list the gains and problems found in various places while applying permanent education as a strategy to fight the covid-19 pandemic.

RESUMO Objetivo: investigar/examinar e sintetizar evidências de estudos sobre Educação Permanente para profissionais da saúde voltada para a pandemia da covid-19. Métodos: serão realizadas buscas em seis fontes indexadas nacionais e internacionais. Serão incluídos estudos de qualquer natureza metodológica, que abordem o uso da Educação Permanente para profissionais da saúde na pandemia da covid-19. Será considerado o contexto de serviços de saúde em qualquer cenário, seja a atenção primária, especializada ou hospitalar nos âmbitos nacional e internacional. Considerações Finais: espera-se que os resultados desta pesquisa revelem as temáticas abordadas ao longo das ações de Educação Permanente em diversos contextos nacionais e internacionais. Além disso, serão elencados os ganhos obtidos e os problemas encontrados em diversos territórios no contexto da aplicação da Educação Permanente como estratégia de enfrentamento à pandemia da covid-19.

ABSTRACT Objective: to unveil the psychological repercussions perceived by mothers on children and adolescents after paternal estrangement due to conjugal violence. Method: this is a descriptive-exploratory study with a qualitative approach developed with mothers in legal proceedings for conjugal violence at the 2nd Domestic and Family Violence Court of Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. Data collection took place between September and November 2021 through interviews carried out using a virtual meeting application, guided by a semi-structured form. Interviews were recorded with authorization, and later converted to a written version with the support of Microsoft Word. Data were organized through thematic content analysis proposed by Bardin. Results: this research was carried out with eight women/mothers aged 29 to 39 years, mostly self-declared black, evangelical, single and with complete high school. At the time of the interview, women had been separated from six months to a year and a half; lived with the father of children and children aged 7 to 15; and most of them had a single child, whose age ranged between 5 and 15 years. As results of the interviews, Emotional, Behavioral and Psychological categories emerged. Conclusion: the study reveals that, after paternal estrangement resulting from protective measures for mothers with a history of conjugal violence, children and adolescents experience emotional, behavioral and psychological repercussions. The study can contribute to strengthening the psychological care of children/adolescents who have experienced violence, providing professionals with support to outline preventive strategies.

RESUMEN Objetivo: revelar las repercusiones psicológicas percibidas por las madres en niños y adolescentes luego del alejamiento paterno por violencia conyugal. Método: estudio descriptivo-exploratorio con enfoque cualitativo desarrollado con madres en procesos judiciales por violencia conyugal en el 2º Juzgado de Violencia Doméstica y Familiar de Salvador, Bahía, Brasil. La recolección de datos se realizó entre septiembre y noviembre de 2021 a través de entrevistas realizadas mediante una aplicación de reuniones virtuales, guiadas por un formulario semiestructurado. Las entrevistas fueron grabadas, previa autorización, y posteriormente convertidas a versión escrita con soporte de Microsoft Word. Los datos fueron organizados a través del análisis de contenido temático, propuesto por Bardin. Resultados: esta investigación se realizó con ocho mujeres/madres de 29 a 39 años, en su mayoría autodeclaradas negras, evangélicas, solteras y con educación secundaria completa. En el momento de la entrevista, las mujeres llevaban separadas entre seis meses y un año y medio, y vivían con el padre de los niños y adolescentes de edades comprendidas entre 7 y 15 años y, la mayoría de ellos, tenían un solo hijo, cuya edad oscilaba entre 5 y 15 años. Como resultados de las entrevistas surgieron las categorías Emocional, Comportamental y Psíquica. Conclusión: el estudio revela que, después del alejamiento paterno resultante de medidas de protección a madres con antecedentes de violencia conyugal, niños y adolescentes experimentan repercusiones emocionales, conductuales y psicológicas. El estudio puede contribuir a fortalecer la atención psicológica de niños/adolescentes que han vivido violencia, brindando apoyo a los profesionales para trazar estrategias preventivas.

RESUMO Objetivo: Desvelar as repercussões psicológicas percebidas por mães em crianças e adolescentes após o afastamento paterno por violência conjugal. Método: Estudo de caráter descritivo-exploratório e abordagem qualitativa desenvolvido com as genitoras em processo judicial por violência conjugal junto à 2ª Vara de Violência Doméstica e Familiar de Salvador, Bahia, Brasil. A coleta de dados ocorreu entre setembro e novembro de 2021 através de entrevista realizada por aplicativo de reunião virtual, sendo guiada por formulário semiestruturado. As entrevistas foram gravadas, mediante autorização e, posteriormente, convertidas para a versão escrita com apoio do Microsoft Word. Os dados foram organizados por meio da análise de conteúdo temático, proposto por Bardin. Resultados: Esta pesquisa foi realizada com oito mulheres/mães na faixa etária de 29 a 39 anos majoritariamente autodeclaradas negras, evangélicas, solteiras e com ensino médio completo. No momento da entrevista, as mulheres tinham de seis meses a um ano e meio de separadas, tendo convivido com o pai das crianças e adolescentes de 7 a 15 anos e, na sua maioria, tinha um único filho, cuja idade variava entre 5 e 15 anos. Como resultados das entrevistas emergiram três categorias: Emocionais, Comportamentais e Psíquicas. Conclusão: O estudo revela que, após o afastamento paterno decorrente de medida protetiva às mães com história de violência conjugal, crianças e adolescentes apresentam repercussões de ordem emocional, comportamental e psíquica. O estudo pode contribuir no fortalecimento do cuidado psicológico de crianças/adolescentes que experienciaram a violência, munindo profissionais de subsídios para traçar estratégias preventivas.

Resumo Introdução O envolvimento do paciente e do público traz diversos benefícios para a pesquisa, no entanto, existem desafios para sua implementação, como a falta de ferramentas que orientem o engajamento dos participantes em pesquisas que os envolvem. A Involvement Matrix (IM) é uma ferramenta que facilita o diálogo sobre o papel que o participante da pesquisa deseja desempenhar em projetos de pesquisas pro-movendo um envolvimento mais ativo desse público. Objetivo Traduzir os materiais da IM para o português brasileiro, a fim de disponibilizar seu uso no Brasil e ori-entar pesquisadores. Métodos Solicitou-se autorização aos autores do instrumento original para traduzi-lo para o português brasileiro. Em seguida, o material traduzido passou por um processo de retrotradução. O resultado foi verificado pelos autores da IM, garantindo a precisão semântica e de conteúdo. Resultados A Matriz de Envolvimento (ME) foi traduzida para o português e retrotraduzida ao inglês. Posteriormente, os pesquisadores da versão brasileira realizaram uma reunião com os autores da ME para esclarecer dúvi-das, havendo a necessidade de mínimos ajustes na retrotradução, sem mudanças da versão em português. Após a aprovação da versão final em português brasi-leiro, foram disponibilizadas as ferramentas traduzidas: um Guia Prático, uma Versão em Word, uma Lista de Verificação, uma Ficha Técnica, uma Visão Geral com Exemplos e um Vídeo Animado legendado em português brasileiro. Conclusão Os diversos materiais da ME estão adequadamente traduzidos e disponíveis gratuitamente para uso no Brasil. Abstract Introduction Patient and public involvement has numerous benefits for research; however, there are challenges to its implementation, such as the lack of tools to guide participant engagement in research. The Involvement Matrix (IM) is a tool that facilitates discussion about the role that participants play in research projects, promoting more active public involvement. Objective To translate IM materials into Brazilian Portuguese in order to facilitate their use and guide researchers. Methods Authorization to translate the original material into Brazilian Portuguese was obtained from the authors. Next, the translated material underwent backtranslation. The resulting version was verified by the original IM authors, ensuring semantic and content accuracy. Results The Involvement Matrix (IM) was translated into Portuguese and then backtranslated into English. The researchers discussed the translated version with the IM authors, with minimal adjustments needed in the backtranslation, and no changes made to the Portuguese version. After the approval of the final Brazilian Portuguese version, the translated tools were made available, including a Practical Guide, a Word Version, a Checklist, a Fact Sheet, an Overview with Examples, and an Animated Video with Brazilian Portuguese subtitles. Conclusion The various IM materials are adequately translated and freely available for use in Brazil. Resumo O trabalho tem como objetivo discutir a importância da inclusão de autoras negras em produções da Psicologia Social e da Teoria Crítica, enquanto um estudo de produção de memória e ciência. Colocamos em cena Carolina Maria de Jesus e as poetas do slam narrando um Brasil a partir das margens, de resistência contra o epistemicídio e oposição a ideias pré-concebidas sobre a nossa história. Para a construção da narrativa, em diálogo com os diários de Carolina e com as poesias das mulheres do slam, estão autores da Teoria Crítica, da Psicologia Social e do Feminismo Negro. Fazemos uso da interseccionalidade como uma lente de análise das experiências narradas pelas autoras, compreendendo o entrecruzamento entre raça, classe, gênero e outras opressões como aspectos que constituem não apenas as singularidades que se mostram em suas histórias de vida, mas também os elementos que as fazem orbitar enquanto uma identidade coletiva brasileira. Abstract The work aims to discuss the importance of including black women in productions of Social Psychology and Critical Theory, as a study of production of memory and science. We put Carolina Maria de Jesus and Slam poets on stage narrating a Brazil from the margins, of resistance against epistemicide and of opposition to preconceived ideas about our history. In dialogue with Carolina's diaries and the Slam women, authors from Critical Theory, Social Psychology, and Black Feminism build the narrative. We use intersectionality as a lens for analyzing the experiences narrated by the authors, understanding the intersection between race, class, gender, and other oppressions as aspects that constitute not only the singularities that are shown in their life stories but also in the elements that orbit as a Brazilian collective identity. RESUMO O objetivo deste estudo transversal foi identificar adequações quanto à utilização de Equipamentos de Proteção Individual e organização do processo de trabalho no atendimento odontológico ambulatorial no Paraná durante o primeiro ano da pandemia da Covid-19. A amostra de conveniência incluiu 1.105 profissionais de saúde bucal (cirurgiões-dentistas, técnicos e auxiliares em saúde bucal) durante o primeiro ano da pandemia (agosto a outubro de 2020). Formulário on-line (Google Formulários®) foi enviado por e-mail pelo Conselho Regional de Odontologia. As medidas de enfrentamento da Covid-19 foram comparadas entre os tipos de serviços odontológicos: ambulatorial do Sistema Único de Saúde – SUS (Atenção Primária, Centro de Especialidades Odontológicos e Pronto Atendimento), clínica privada, e outros (Sistema S, forças de segurança, sindicatos, hospitais públicos e privados e clínicas de ensino). Os profissionais dos serviços ambulatoriais do SUS relataram com maior frequência que: suspenderam atendimentos eletivos, evitavam gerar aerossóis e trabalhavam a quatro mãos. Nas clínicas privadas, utilizavam frequentemente teleorientação e telemonitoramento. Nos ‘outros serviços’, houve maior proporção de redução das horas de trabalho e autoclavagem de peças de mão após cada atendimento. Conclui-se que, apesar da alta adequação às medidas de enfrentamento da Covid-19, houve diferença na prática profissional nos diferentes tipos de serviços odontológicos.

ABSTRACT This cross-sectional study aimed to identify adjustments regarding the use of Personal Protective Equipment and the organization of the work process in outpatient dental care in Paraná during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic. The convenience sample included 1,105 oral health professionals (dental surgeons, oral health assistants, and dental hygienists) during the first year of the pandemic (August to October, 2020). An online form (Google Forms®) was sent by email by the Regional Council of Dentistry. COVID-19’s measures were compared between the types of dental services: ‘outpatient clinic of the Unified Health System – SUS’ (Primary Care, Dental Specialty Center, and Emergency Care), ‘private clinic’ and ‘other services’ (Sistema S, security forces, trade union, public and private hospitals, and teaching clinics). Professionals from SUS outpatient services reported more frequently: that they suspended elective care, avoided generating aerosols, and worked four-handed. Professionals from ‘private clinics’ used teleorientation and telemonitoring more regularly. In the ‘other services’, there was a more significant proportion reduction in work hours and handpieces autoclaving after each service. It is concluded that, despite the high adequacy of the measures to combat COVID-19, there was a difference in professional practice among the different types of dental services.
