Resumen La enseñanza de una L3 ha sido tratada del mismo modo que la enseñanza de una L2, sin tener en cuenta que los alumnos que aprenden otra lengua extranjera (LE) muestran una mayor conciencia metalingüística y pueden usar las estrategias adquiridas del aprendizaje de la L2 para el estudio de una L3. Nos preguntamos si no sería más lógico adaptar las clases de L3 desde el inicio del aprendizaje a las convenciones profesionales, como en el caso de lenguas para fines específicos (LFE), en lugar de adquirir los patrones de la lengua estándar. Pretendemos confirmar que sí es posible contextualizar los contenidos de la nueva LE, y así acelerar su aprendizaje, si se aprovechan las experiencias previas que tienen los discentes de la L2, y se define una metodología comunicativa y social necesaria para alcanzar un aprendizaje efectivo. Este análisis puede facilitar la labor docente en la planificación de la L3, que suele impartirse en un periodo limitado para lograr la motivación de los discentes.

Abstract The teaching of a L3 has been handled in the same way as a L2, without taking into account that the bilinguals show a greater metalinguistic awareness and that they use as strategies of transference the ones acquired in L2. These advantages allow them to accelerate the learning of the new language as long as they are presented with a motivational and practical teaching experience, more appropriate for their professional future. We wonder, therefore, whether it would be more logical to adapt L3 classes from the beginning to professional conventions instead of acquiring standard language patterns. The results confirm that it is possible, if it takes advantage of the previous learning experiences that L3 students have, and defining a communicative and social methodology necessary to achieve effective learning. This analysis can facilitate L3 teaching work planning.

Resumo O ensino de uma L3 tem sido tratado da mesma forma que o ensino de uma L2, porém não se leva em conta que os alunos que aprendem outra língua estrangeira (LE) apresentam maior consciência metalinguística e podem utilizar as estratégias adquiridas com a aprendizagem de a L2 para o estudo de uma L3. Perguntamo-nos se não seria mais lógico adaptar as aulas de L3 desde o início do aprendizado às convenções profissionais, como no caso das línguas para fins específicos (LFE), ao invés de adquirir os padrões da língua padrão. Pretendemos confirmar que é possível contextualizar os conteúdos da nova LE, e assim acelerar a sua aprendizagem, se forem utilizadas as experiências anteriores dos aprendentes de L2, definindo uma metodologia comunicativa e social necessária para uma aprendizagem eficaz. Essa análise pode facilitar o trabalho docente no planejamento da L3, que geralmente é ministrada em um período de treinamento limitado para atingir a motivação dos alunos.

The order Phallales harbors gasteroid fungi known as stinkhorns, false-truffles, witches’cages and bridal veils, and is mainly characterized by the fetid smelling basidiome, insect-associated dispersal mechanism, and mucilaginous gleba. The order has been well studied in Brazil, with greater occurrence in the southern and northeastern regions of the country. The state of  Bahia has only records of the species Abrachium floriforme and Lysurus sphaerocephalum. The objective of this study is to present new occurrences of Phallales for the State.  The species were collected in the Bahia State, in the municipalities of Elísio Medrado, Mucugê, Salvador and Uruçuca. One herborized specimen from Lençóis was included in the analyses. Seven species were identified: Abrachium floriforme, Itajahya galericulata, Mutinus caninus, M. elegans, M. verrucosus, Phallus denigricans and P. merulinus. All represent new occurrences for the State of Bahia, except A. floriforme. Descriptions, identification key, notes and photos of the species are provided.

RESUMO A radiação é um dos aspectos que influenciam a composição de espécies, sendo assim, a luz é um fator limitante para o crescimento das árvores. O estudo objetivou avaliar as variações morfológicas foliares entre indivíduos de Myrcia splendens (Sw.) DC., sob diferentes condições de luminosidade, em uma floresta urbana. O fragmento caracteriza-se por possuir uma área sem formação de dossel e uma com regeneração mais avançada. Foram coletados ramos de cinco indivíduos, totalizando 100 folhas. Avaliou-se a área foliar, massa fresca, massa seca, conteúdo de água, área foliar específica e teor de matéria seca das folhas. A análise de variância mostrou que a maioria das características (massa seca, área foliar específica, teor de matéria seca das folhas) variaram significativamente. A massa seca, conteúdo de água e área foliar apresentaram alta correlação com a massa fresca em ambos os ambientes. A variação morfológica encontrada em M. splendens permite a criação de estratégias de crescimento e estabelecimento da espécie de acordo com as condições ambientais.

ABSTRACT Solar radiation is one of the aspects which most influence species composition, so light is a limiting factor to tree growth in forests. This study aimed to evaluate the leaf morphological variations between individuals of the Myrcia splendens (Sw.) DC. species under different light conditions in an urban forest. The fragment is characterized by having an open canopy area and an advanced regeneration stage in which branches of five individuals were collected, totaling 100 leaves. The traits evaluated were leaf area, fresh biomass, dry biomass, water content, specific leaf area and leaf dry matter content. An analysis of variance showed that most of the morphological traits (dry biomass, specific leaf area, leaf dry matter content) varied significantly. Furthermore, variables such as dry biomass, water content and leaf area showed a high correlation with fresh biomass in both areas. The morphological variation found in M. splendens allows for creating growth and establishment strategies according to the environmental conditions.

ABSTRACT This essay is based on a description of indigenous words in the work of the German chronicler Ulrich Schmidel (1510-1579), one of the few German-language accounts of the conquest that refers to an early period of colonialism. First, we will compile an inventory of the indigenous words found in the selected text and investigate what kind of strategies and procedures are used, in order to then carry out a comparative case study on how these lexical indigenisms are introduced into the English and Spanish translations of the original German text. We will present the similarities or differences that can be found in the texts researched, and if possible we will make a case for the criteria used for the chosen terms, in other words, whether there is any notable trend when incorporating the loanwords into the chronicles, and whether they aid a better understanding of the process of contact between languages and cultures.

RESUMEN Este trabajo se basa en una descripción de las voces indígenas presentes en la obra del cronista alemán Ulrich Schmidel (1510-1579) que recoge uno de los pocos relatos en alemán sobre la conquista que hace referencia a una etapa temprana del colonialismo. Nos proponemos confeccionar primeramente un inventario de las palabras indígenas encontradas en el texto seleccionado, buscar qué tipo de estrategias y procedimientos son usados, para luego llevar a cabo un estudio de caso comparativo en cómo se introducen estos indigenismos léxicos en las traducciones en inglés y español del texto alemán. Presentaremos las similitudes o diferencias que podamos encontrar en los textos trabajados, y, si es posible, argumentaremos los criterios que han usado para los términos elegidos; es decir, si existe alguna tendencia peculiar al incorporar los préstamos en sus crónicas y si ayudan a comprender mejor el proceso de contacto de lenguas y culturas.

Resumo Introdução Identificar se, no transtorno bipolar (TB), os estados mistos estão associados a um maior comportamento suicida, quando comparados a episódios maníacos/hipomaníacos e depressivos. Método Realizamos uma busca sistemática da literatura científica utilizando as bases de dados Pubmed, ISI Web of Science, PsycINFO e SciELO com os termos (bipolar) AND (suicid*) AND (mixed). Foram selecionados estudos originais que compararam o comportamento suicida entre pacientes em estado misto e pacientes em outras fases do TB. Resultados 16 artigos se adequaram aos critérios de seleção. Doze desses 16 estudos compararam estado misto com mania pura, e a maioria desses 12 estudos (n = 11) mostrou que o comportamento suicida era mais frequente entre os indivíduos em estado misto. Somente cinco dos artigos incluídos compararam o comportamento suicida entre as fases depressiva e mista do TB. Dentre esses cinco artigos, um mostrou maior comportamento suicida nos pacientes em estado misto, e um mostrou maior comportamento suicida nos pacientes com depressão pura. Em três desses cinco estudos, não houve diferença estatisticamente significativa entre os grupos. Conclusão Durante um episódio agudo do TB, os estados mistos estão mais relacionados ao comportamento suicida do que os episódios de mania ou hipomania puros. Todavia, não foi possível demonstrar que os estados mistos cursem com um maior risco de comportamento suicida do que os episódios depressivos puros. Os resultados aqui apresentados merecem ser considerados na prática clínica, a fim de avaliar melhor o risco de suicídio, bem como prevenir o suicídio.

Abstract Introduction The objective of this study was to identify whether mixed states in bipolar disorder (BD) are associated with more frequent suicidal behavior when compared to manic/hypomanic and depressive episodes. Method We performed a systematic search of the scientific literature on the subject using the PubMed, ISI Web Of Science, PsycINFO and SciELO databases. The terms chosen for the search were (bipolar) AND (suicid*) AND (mixed). We selected original studies comparing suicidal behavior of patients in mixed states and suicidal behavior of patients in other BD phases. Results Sixteen papers fit the selection criteria. Twelve of the original 16 studies compared suicidal behavior in mixed states and pure mania, and the majority of these studies (n = 11) revealed that suicidal behavior was more frequent among individuals in mixed states. Five of the papers compared suicidal behavior between depressive and mixed phases of BD. One of these five papers reported more severe suicidal behavior in patients in mixed states and another described more frequent suicidal behavior in patients with pure depression. There were no significant statistical differences between groups in the remaining three of these five studies. Conclusion During acute BD episodes, suicidal behavior is more strongly associated with mixed states than with pure mania or hypomania. However, it was not possible to demonstrate that the association between suicidal behavior and mixed states is stronger than the association between suicidal behavior and depressive phases. The results hereby presented are worth considering in clinical practice to better evaluate suicide risk and to prevent suicide.

Resumo Introdução Nos últimos anos, a associação entre temperamento e características clínicas dos transtornos de humor tem sido estudada. A maioria dos pacientes bipolares apresenta déficits na consciência de sinais e sintomas. A relação entre temperamento afetivo e insight em pacientes bipolares não tem sido relatada na literatura até o momento. Objetivo Avaliar a relação entre temperamento afetivo e insight no transtorno bipolar. Métodos Um grupo de 65 pacientes bipolares foi acompanhado por um ano. Os pacientes foram submetidos a uma avaliação clínica utilizando os critérios do Manual Diagnóstico e Estatístico de Transtornos Mentais, 5ª edição (DSM-5). O insight foi avaliado através da Escala de Insight para Transtornos Afetivos (ISAD), e o temperamento afetivo, através da TEMPS-Rio de Janeiro. A relação entre temperamento afetivo e insight foi explorada usando correlações de Spearman entre os escores de cada item da ISAD e as subescalas da TEMPS-Rio de Janeiro. Resultados Nas fases eutímicas, os bipolares com temperamento depressivo relacionaram-se com maior nível de insight sobre as consequências do transtorno; quando em mania, apresentaram melhor insight sobre ter um transtorno afetivo, apresentar alterações psicomotoras e sofrer de culpa ou grandiosidade. Da mesma forma, bipolares com maiores escores de temperamento ansioso, quando em mania, tiveram melhor percepção sobre alterações na atenção. Bipolares com escores mais altos de temperamento hipertímico, quando em mania, mostraram o pior insight sobre o curso do pensamento. Conclusão O nível de insight em pacientes bipolares, além de ser determinado pela fase da doença e por diversos sintomas, é influenciado pelo temperamento afetivo.

Abstract Introduction In recent years, the association between temperament and clinical characteristics of mood disorders has been studied. Most bipolar patients show deficits in their awareness of signs and symptoms. The relationship between affective temperament and insight in bipolar patients has not been carried out in the literature so far. Objective To evaluate the relationship between affective temperament and insight in bipolar disorder. Method A group of 65 bipolar patients were followed during a year. Patients underwent a clinical assessment and were diagnosed using criteria from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th edition (DSM-5). Insight was evaluated through the Insight Scale for Affective Disorders (ISAD), and affective temperament, through the TEMPS-Rio de Janeiro. The relationship between affective temperament and insight was explored with Spearman rho correlations between scores on each item of the ISAD and on the TEMPS-Rio de Janeiro subscales. Results In euthymic phases, bipolars with depressive temperament were associated with a higher level of insight about the consequences of the disorder; when in mania, patients showed better insight about having an affective disorder, presenting psychomotor alterations, and suffering from guilt or grandiosity. Similarly, bipolar patients with higher scores of anxious temperament, when in mania, had better insight on alterations in attention. Bipolar patients with higher scores of hyperthymic temperament, when in mania, showed the worst insight about thought disorder. Conclusion In addition to being determined by the phase of the disease and several varying symptoms, the level of insight in bipolar patients is also influenced by affective temperament.

Objective: To evaluate how well symptom rating scales differentiate bipolar disorder (BD) episode types. Methods: One hundred and six patients with BD were followed for 13 years. At each visit, the following clinical scales were administered: Young Mania Rating Scale (YMRS), Hamilton Depression Scale (HAM-D) and Clinical Global Impressions scale for use in bipolar illness (CGI-BP). To perform a comparison between the affective states of BP, three time points in each patient’s follow-up period were chosen for evaluation: the most severe manic episode, the most severe depressive episode, and the euthymic period with least symptoms. Canonical discriminant analyses (CDA) were performed to identify which symptoms best discriminated episodes. Results: CDA revealed HAM-D was worse than YMRS and CGI-BP to discriminate mood states. The items evaluating increased motor activity in YMRS (2, increased motor activity/energy) and HAM-D (9, agitation) were the best to distinguish mania, depression, and euthymia. In contrast, HAM-D item 8 (retardation) and the HAM-D and YMRS items related to mood symptoms were less important and precise. Conclusion: Higher levels of energy or activity should be considered a core symptom of mania. However, our results do not confirm the association between a decrease in energy or activity and depression. HAM-D probably does not assess motor activity adequately.

RESUMO A interação Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense (Foc) x nematoide e a variabilidade genética de Foc são os principais problemas com potencial de afetar o uso de variedades resistentes no manejo do mal-do-Panamá. O objetivo do trabalho foi avaliar a interação entre Foc e Meloidogyne javanica sobre as cultivares de bananeiras, Prata Anã, Grande Naine e BRS Princesa. O experimento foi conduzido em DBC, com seis tratamentos e dez repetições, os quais se diferenciaram no tempo de inoculação de cada patógeno. Inoculação simultânea de Foc e M. javanica, inoculação de Foc uma semana antes de M. javanica e inoculação de M. javanica uma semana antes de Foc. Além dos controles, Foc isolado, M. javanica isolado e cultivares sem patógenos. As mudas foram transplantadas em vasos de três litros com solo estéril infestado com 40 gramas de inóculo de Foc na concentração de 1x106UFC/grama e 1000 ovos e J2 de M. javanica. Ao final de 56 dias, os tratamentos em 'Grande Naine' apresentaram os maiores fatores de reprodução de M. javanica. Em 'Prata Anã' não foi observado interação entre Foc x M. javanica. Os tratamentos com inoculação simultânea dos dois patógenos e com Foc uma semana antes, em 'BRS Princesa', apresentaram os maiores índices de doença (ID) externos, o que proporcionou as maiores AACPD. Os maiores ID internos foram observados nos tratamentos, Foc+Mj+Grande Naine, Foc+Mj+BRS Princesa, Mj+Grande Naine+Foc e Foc+BRS Princesa+Mj. A presença conjunta de M. javanica e Foc aumenta a severidade do mal-do-Panamá nas cultivares Grande Naine e BRS Princesa.

ABSTRACT The interaction Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense (Foc) x nematode and the genetic variability of Foc are the main problems with potential to affect the use of resistant varieties in the management of the Panama disease. The objective of this work was to evaluate the interaction between Foc and Meloidogyne javanica on the banana of the Prata Anã, Grande Naine and BRS Princesa cultivars. The experiment was conducted in a randomized block design, with six treatments and ten replications, which differed in the inoculation time of each pathogen. Simultaneous inoculation with Foc and M. javanica, inoculation with Foc one week before inoculation with M. javanica, and inoculation with M. javanica one week before inoculation with Foc. In addition to the controls, Foc isolated, M. javanica isolated, and cultivars without the pathogens. The seedlings were transplanted in 3-liter pots with sterile soil infested with 40 grams of Foc inoculum at the concentration of 1x106CFU/gram and 1000 eggs and J2 of M. javanica. At the end of 56 days, the treatments with 'Grande Naine' presented the highest reproduction factors of M. javanica. In the 'Prata Anã' no interaction was observed between Foc x M. javanica. The treatments with simultaneous inoculation of the two pathogens, and with Foc a week before, in the 'BRS Princesa', presented the highest external disease indices (DI), which promoted the highest AUDPC. The highest internal DI were observed in the treatments Foc+Mj+Grande Naine, Foc+Mj+BRS Princesa, Mj+Grande Naine+Foc and Foc+BRS Princesa+Mj. The simultaneous presence of M. javanica and Foc increases the severity of the Panama disease in Grande Naine and BRS Princesa cultivars.

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of hispanic voices in the German authors Nikolaus Federmann and Hans Staden. In our research we have set two objectives: firstly, to collect and display the indigenous words that appear in the texts of these authors, and secondly to study and evaluate the strategies used to introduce these lexical indigenisms in their texts to create different communicative situations. Finally, we compare these results with the Spanish chronical texts between 1525 and 1575 according to the Spanish Diachronic Corpus (CORDE).

El propósito de este trabajo se centra en estudiar la influencia que las lenguas indígenas del siglo XVI ejercieron en las crónicas de los autores alemanes Nikolaus Federmann (1505-1542) y Hans Staden (1525-1576). En este estudio de caso nos hemos puesto como objetivos recoger y mostrar el vocablo indígena que aparece en los textos seleccionados, y conocer su índice de gradación con una metodología aplicada en textos españoles por otros investigadores así como comparar estos resultados con los textos cronísticos españoles entre 1525 y 1575 según el Corpus Diacrónico del Español (CORDE) para poder verificar si existe alguna característica singular en la incorporación de los préstamos encontrados.

Resumo Introdução O estado afetivo pode influenciar o insight , especialmente a mania. No entanto, até o momento os estudos mostram que a depressão parece não prejudicar significativamente o insight . De acordo com o conhecimento dos autores, este estudo é pioneiro em avaliar como as alterações de insight na depressão bipolar se correlacionam com variáveis clínicas. Método Um grupo de 165 pacientes bipolares, com 52 pacientes apresentando episódios depressivos de acordo com os critérios do DSM-5, foi acompanhado por um ano. Os pacientes foram submetidos a avaliação clínica, e o insight foi avaliado utilizandose a Insight Scale for Affective Disorders (ISAD). Diferenças no insight de acordo com o objeto foram investigadas utilizandose ANOVA de medidas repetidas, comparando os escores dos quatro fatores da ISAD ( insight sobre sintomas, sobre sua condição, autoestima e relações sociais). Análises de correlação exploraram quais sintomas clínicos estiveram associados a redução de insight . Resultados Pior insight total correlacionou-se com ideação/tentativa de suicídio e com sintomas subsindrômicos de mania (elevação do humor, energia aumentada e interesse sexual). Pior insight sobre autoestima associou-se não somente a ideação/tentativa de suicídio, mas também a redução de atividade e alentecimento psicomotor. Pior insight sobre sintomas também mostrou correlação com alentecimento psicomotor. Melhor insight sobre ter uma doença afetiva associou-se a sintomas hipocondríacos mais intensos. Finalmente, pior insight sobre a condição esteve associado a sintomas psicóticos. Conclusão O estudo mostrou que, além da psicose, outros sintomas parecem se correlacionar com prejuízo de insight na depressão bipolar, como ideação suicida, redução de atividade e alentecimento psicomotor.

Abstract Introduction Affective state may influence insight, especially regarding mania. Nevertheless, studies have so far suggested that depression seems not to significantly impair insight. To the best of our knowledge, this study pioneers the evaluation of how insight variations in bipolar depression correlate with clinical variables. Method A group of 165 bipolar patients, 52 of whom had depressive episodes according to DSM-5 criteria, were followed during a year. All patients underwent clinical assessment, and insight was evaluated through the Insight Scale for Affective Disorders (ISAD). Repeated-measures ANOVA was calculated comparing scores on the four ISAD factors (insight into symptoms, the condition itself, self-esteem and social relationships) in order to investigate differences in insight according to different objects. Correlational analysis explored which clinical symptoms were linked to reduced insight. Results Worse total insight correlated with suicide attempt/ideation and fewer subsyndromal manic symptoms such as mood elevation, increased energy and sexual interest. Worse self-esteem insight was associated with not only suicide ideation/attempt but also with activity reduction and psychomotor retardation. Worse symptom insight also correlated with psychomotor retardation. Better insight into having an affective disorder was associated with more intense hypochondria symptoms. Finally, worse insight into having an illness was associated with psychotic episodes. Conclusion Our study found that symptoms other than psychosis – suicide ideation, psychomotor retardation and reduction of activity and work – correlate with insight impairment in bipolar depression.

Mycobacterium leprae infects skin and peripheral nerves causing deformities and disability. The M. leprae bacterium binds to ErbB2 on the Schwann cell surface causing demyelination and favoring spread of the bacilli and causing nerve injury. Polymorphisms at the ERBB2 gene were previously investigated as genetic risk factors for leprosy in two Brazilian populations but with inconsistent results. Herein we extend the analysis of ERBB2 variants to a third geographically distinct population in Brazil. Our results show that there is no association between the genotyped SNPs and the disease (p > 0.05) in this population. A gene set or pathway analysis under the genomic region of ERBB2 will be necessary to clarify its regulation under M. leprae stimulus.

Com o objetivo de determinar os aspectos epidemiológicos que envolvem a doença de Chagas (DC) canina e identificar os principais fatores de risco da enfermidade no semiárido paraibano, foi conduzido um estudo na zona rural de Patos, onde a área foi dividida em três estratos amostrais (Norte, Sul e Oeste) e, em cada estrato foram amostradas aleatoriamente 294 casas, e dessas todos os cães domiciliados representaram as unidades elementares do estudo. Em cada unidade domiciliar foi aplicado um questionário epidemiológico para se obter informações sobre indicadores que favorecem a disseminação da doença no segmento peridomiciliar. O diagnóstico sorológico para DC em cães foi baseado em três métodos (RIFI, ELISA e HAI), sendo consideradas positivas aquelas amostras que apresentassem pelo menos dois testes reagentes e ausência de reatividade cruzada. Para zona rural do município, a prevalência de cães sororreagentes para T. cruzi por estrato amostral foram: Norte 6,05%, Sul 3,59% e Oeste 2,97%, correspondendo a uma prevalência em sua totalidade de 4,08%. Os fatores de riscos (odds ratio, OR) evidenciados em análise multifatorial foram: tipo de parede (OR=2,59 [1,24-5,4]), presença de armazém (OR=1,89 [1,31-3,0]), presença de galinheiros (OR=8,31 [1,29-61,7]), contato com animais (OR=9,11 [1,12-73,9]), contato com aves (OR=9,7 [1,81-52,83]), triatomíneos capturados (OR=16,58 [3,43-80,23]) e antropismo (OR=4,35 [1,36-14,0]. Diante dos resultados foi possível se obter informações inerentes à situação epidemiológica da Doença de Chagas ressaltando características biogeográficas da zona rural do semiárido paraibano, elevando a espécie canina e os fatores de risco evidenciados, em destaque ao contato com aves e ecótopos artificiais, operacionalizando indicadores a serem assistidos e considerados na cadeia de transmissão da doença na região.

In order to determine the epidemiological aspects involving canine Chagas disease (CD) and to identify major risk factors for the disease in the semi-arid region of Paraiba, a study was conducted in the rural area of Patos/Paraíba, Brazil, where the area was divided into three sampling strata (North, South and West) and, in each stratum we randomly sampled about 294 houses, and all the pet dogs represented the elementary units of study. In each household an epidemiological questionnaire was administered to obtain information on indicators that favor the spread of the disease in peridomestic segment. Serological diagnosis for CD in dogs was based on three methods (IFA, ELISA and HAI), considering positive samples that had at least two tests reagents and absence of cross-reaction. For the rural area, the prevalence of seropositive dogs for Trypanosoma cruzi by sampling stratum was: North 6.05%, South 3.59% and West 2.97%, corresponding to a total prevalence of 4.08%. The risk factors (odds ratio, OR) were evidenced in multifactorial analysis: wall type (OR=2.59 [1.24-5.4]), presence at warehouse (OR=1.89 [1.31-3.0]), present at chicken stall (OR=8.31 [1.29-61.7]), contact with animals (OR = 9.11 [1.12-73.9]), contact with birds (OR=9.7 [1.81-52.83]), captured triatomines (OR=16.58 [3.43-80.23]) and anthropogenic (OR=4.35 [1.36-14.0]. From the results it was possible to obtain information pertaining to the epidemiological situation of Chagas Disease highlighting biogeographical characteristics of rural semi-arid region of Paraiba, raising dogs and the risk factors disclosed in the highlighted contact with birds and ecotopes operationalizing indicators to be watched and considered in the chain of transmission of the disease in the region.

Nesse estudo um planejamento experimental de misturas de biodieseis é utilizado para avaliar e otimizar a estabilidade oxidativa de amostras de biodiesel de soja contendo diferentes teores de biodiesel de sebo e de mamona. As misturas de biodieseis foram preparadas com teores que variaram entre 80-86% (v/v) para a soja, 5-15% (v/v) para o sebo e 1-10% (v/v) para a mamona. O período de indução da amostra de biodiesel de soja puro serviu de base para a comparação com a estabilidade das misturas. A estratégia de planejamento experimental de misturas mostrou-se adequada para a formulação de misturas de biodiesel com ótima estabilidade oxidativa. O modelo quadrático obtido na etapa de otimização ajustou-se adequadamente aos dados experimentais, sendo capaz de prever as proporções ótimas para misturas com maior estabilidade oxidativa. O melhor período de indução foi obtido com as seguintes proporções: 82,5% (v/v) de soja, 7,5% (v/v) de sebo e 10,0% (v/v) de mamona.

This study proposes an experimental design of biodiesel constrained mixtures to evaluate and optimize the oxidative stability of soybean biodiesel mixed with different amounts of tallow and castor bean biodiesels. To prepare the biodiesel blends, the proportions of each type of biodiesel were varied, producing mixtures that contained 80-86% (v/v) soybean, 5-15% (v/v) tallow, and 1-10% (v/v) castor bean biodiesel. The induction period of pure soybean biodiesel served as the baseline for comparing the stability of the mixtures. The experimental design strategy was capable of producing the best oxidative stability for biodiesel mixtures. The quadratic model obtained in the optimization stage fits the experimental data well. The higher induction period occurred at the following composition: 82.5% (v/v) soybean, 7.5% (v/v) tallow and 10.0% (v/v) castor bean.

Este estudo teve por objetivo realizar o inventário arbóreo-urbano em 24 bairros do Município de Salto de Pirapora, SP, por meio da avaliação quali-quantitativa. Para tanto, foram obtidas informações relacionadas à: espécie arbórea, situação da copa e do tronco, orientação do tronco, fitossanidade, interceptação das raízes no passeio, necessidade de tratos silviculturais, altura total e altura da primeira bifurcação, assim como características do espaço viário. Foram registrados 868 indivíduos, dos quais 679 foram catalogados em 71 espécies arbóreas. A espécie de maior frequência foi Caesalpinia pluviosa, representando 13,6% do total, seguida de Ficus benjamin (10,4%), Lagerstroemia indica (5,0%) e Terminalia catappa (4,8%). Quanto à condição do tronco, 68,8% dos indivíduos arbóreos não apresentaram problemas; 85,7% das árvores observadas possuíam orientação simpodial adequada; poucas árvores apresentavam danos relacionados à fitossanidade que poderiam interferir em sua integridade e, ou, longevidade; 69,6% não interferiam, de forma direta, na calçada; 32,8% das árvores necessitavam de podas por estarem acima da fiação elétrica; 0,5% necessitava de substituição; e 5,7% precisavam ser removidas. Com relação à altura total das árvores, 63,0% apresentavam crescimento menor que 5 m; e 65,3% com altura da primeira bifurcação do tronco inferior a 1,80 m. O Bairro Primavera destacou-se pelo maior número de árvores em sua urbanização. Em contrapartida, o Jardim Amélia apresentou apenas um indivíduo. Dessa forma, observou-se que cada bairro possuía sua particularidade, e ações de manutenção e enriquecimento, tanto relacionadas ao número de espécies quanto à quantidade de indivíduos, deveriam ser consideradas no planejamento urbano-arbóreo daquele município.

The objective of this study was to conduct an urban tree inventory in 24 neighborhoods of Salto de Pirapora-SP by using a qualitative and quantitative evaluation. Therefore, it was obtained information related to: tree species, location of the crown and trunk, the trunk orientation, plant, root interception of the ride, silvicultural treatments, total height and the first bifurcation, as well as characteristics of road space. Eight hundred and sixty-eight individuals were recorded, of which 679 were cataloged in 71 tree species. The most frequent species was Caesalpinia pluviosa, (13.6% of the total), followed by Ficus benjamina (10.4%), Lagerstroemia indica (5.0%) and Terminalia catappa (4.8%). The condition of the trunk, 68.8% of the individual trees showed no problems, 85.7% of the observed trees have adequate sympodial guidance; few trees had damages related to plant health that may interfere with their integrity and, or, longevity, 69.6% did not interfere directly on the sidewalk; 32.8% of the trees needed pruning for being above the electrical wiring; 0.5% needed replacing and 5.7% required removal. With respect to the total height of the trees, 63.0% grew less than 5 m, and 65.3% present height of the first trunk bifurcation lower than 1.80 m. Bairro Primavera was highlighted by the largest number of trees in its urbanization. In contrast, Jardim Amelia had only one individual. Thus, it is observed that each neighborhood has its particularity and maintenance actions and enrichment related to both number of species and number of individuals should be considered in urban planning-tree in the city.
