Resumen La dieta humana influye en las cadenas de producción de alimentos, las cuales emiten alrededor del 30% de los gases de efecto invernadero (GEI) a nivel mundial. El objetivo es identificar los cambios en la dieta y la producción de CO2 en adultos mexicanos antes, durante y después del confinamiento por covid-19. La frecuencia de consumo de alimentos se determinó mediante un cuestionario electrónico completado por 1114 participantes, a partir del cual se calcularon las emisiones de CO2 asociadas. Se identificaron tres grupos de alimentos (de alto, medio y bajo impacto ambiental) en función de su CO2 incorporado. Las dietas más variadas consumidas después del confinamiento se caracterizaron por una disminución significativa de la ingesta de productos animales y un aumento de frutas (0.5), verduras (0.4), cereales (1.2) y leguminosas (0.3). El confinamiento covid-19 se identifica como un factor para la modificación de la dieta y sus emisiones de CO2 asociadas.

Abstract Human diet influences food production chains, which emit about 30% of global greenhouse gases. The objective is to identify changes in diet and CO2 production in Mexican adults before, during, and after covid-19 confinement. The frequency of food consumption was determined by an electronic questionnaire completed by 1114 participants from which the associated CO2 emissions were calculated. Three food groups (high, medium, and low environmental impact) were identified according to their embodied CO2. The most varied diets consumed after confinement were characterized by a significant decrease in the intake of animal products and an increase in fruits (0.5), vegetables (0.4), cereals (1.2), and legumes (0.3). Covid-19 confinement is identified as a factor for dietary modification and its associated CO2 emissions.

Resumen Objetivo: Proponer un modelo teórico para dimensionar y entrelazar las actividades alimentarias humanas que inciden en la pérdida u obtención del equilibrio ecosistémico. Metodología: Se efectuó revisión documental sobre el patrón alimentario actual, sus determinantes y el impacto en la salud planetaria. Resultados: La transformación del acto alimentario, determinada por diferentes factores sociales, económicos y culturales, ha dado lugar a dietas desequilibradas con un alto consumo de carne, que exigen a los sistemas ambientales. Paralelo a esto, las tasas en enfermedades crónicas no transmisibles han ido aumentando, creando un efecto negativo en la salud planetaria. Limitaciones: El presente estudio formula una propuesta teórica que permita abordar la complejidad de la dieta y su efecto en el bienestar público y ambiental, sirviendo como pauta para análisis aplicados. Conclusiones: El MCS otorga una visión amplia y crítica para el análisis e intervención de dificultades socioecológicos como lo es la alimentación, dando bases científicas para profesionales de la salud, producción de alimentos, tomadores de decisiones y desarrolladores de políticas públicas

Abstract Objective: To propose a theoretical model to measure and intertwine the human food activities that affect the loss or achievement of ecosystem balance. Methodology: A documentary review was made on the current eating pattern, its determinants, and the impact on planetary health. Results: The transformation of the eating act, determined by different social, economic, and cultural factors, has given rise to unbalanced diets with high consumption of meat, which demand environmental systems. Parallel to this, rates of chronic non-communicable diseases have been increasing, creating a negative effect on planetary health. Limitations: This study formulates a theoretical proposal that allows addressing the complexity of the diet and its effect on public and environmental welfare, serving as a guideline for applied analysis. Conclusions: The MCS provides a broad and critical vision for the analysis and intervention of socioecological difficulties such as food, providing scientific bases for health professionals, food production, decision-makers, and public policy developers.

RESUMEN Introducción: El derecho a prácticas pre-profesionales amparado bajo la Ley Peruana permite que el estudiante de último año de la carrera de medicina humana comience a participar en procedimientos e intervenciones asistenciales de salud bajo la guía de un médico tutor. Objetivo: determinar los factores asociados a bajo conocimiento en bioseguridad en internos de medicina de una universidad del Perú en el contexto de la pandemia covid-19. Metodología: se realizó un diseño observacional, prolectivo y transversal. La muestra estuvo comprendida por 336 internos de medicina humana, los cuales se seleccionaron por muestreo probabilístico aleatorio simple. Se empleó un instrumento válido y confiable para determinar el nivel de conocimiento en bioseguridad. Se trabajó con un modelo de regresión de binario logarítmico bivariado y múltiple para el cálculo de la razón de prevalencia cruda y ajustada con sus respectivos intervalos de confianza al 95% para los factores asociados al nivel de conocimiento en bioseguridad. Resultados: se encontraron niveles de conocimiento alto, medio y bajo del 44,6%, 26,8% y 28 ,6% respectivamente. El estado civil casado (RPA 0.418, IC95% 0.181 - 0.968), convivir con personas con riesgo para síntomas graves por covid-19 (RPA 0.472, IC95% 0.344-0.647), realizar el internado medico en un hospital y haber sido diagnosticado por covid-19 en los últimos 12 meses (RPA 0.586, IC95% 0.387-0.887) se asociaron a un nivel de conocimiento bajo bioseguridad por modelo de regresión binaria logarítmica múltiple. Discusión: el estado civil casado, el convivir con personas con riesgo para síntomas graves de covid-19, el realizar el internado medico en un centro hospitalario y el haber sido diagnosticado con covid-19 tienen una relación inversamente proporcional con el conocimiento bajo en bioseguridad en internos de medicina en el contexto de la pandemia covid-19.

ABSTRACT Introduction: The right to pre-professional practices protected under Peruvian Law allows the student in the last year of the human medicine career to begin to participate in health care procedures and interventions under the guidance of a tutor. Objective: to determine the factors associated with low knowledge of biosafety in medical interns at a university in Peru in the context of the covid-19 pandemic. Methods: an observational, prolective and cross-sectional design was carried out. The sample consisted of 336 human medicine interns, who were selected by simple random probabilistic sampling. A valid and reliable instrument was used to determine the level of knowledge in biosafety. A bivariate and multiple logarithmic binary regression model was used to calculate the crude and adjusted prevalence ratio with their respective 95% confidence intervals for the factors associated with the level of knowledge in biosafety. Results: high, medium and low levels of knowledge of 44.6%, 26.8% and 28.6% respectively were found. Married marital status (RPA 0.418, 95% CI 0.181 - 0.968), living with people at risk for severe symptoms from covid-19 (RPA 0.472, 95% CI 0.344-0.647), undergoing medical internship in a hospital, and having been diagnosed by covid-19 in the last 12 months (RPA 0.586, 95% CI 0.387-0.887) were associated with a level of knowledge under biosafety by multiple logarithmic binary regression model. Discussion: married marital status, living with people at risk for severe symptoms of covid-19, undergoing medical internship in a hospital center and having been diagnosed with covid-19 have an inversely proportional relationship with low knowledge in biosafety. Abstract This work presents the experimental results of the influence of an annealing process on the anisotropic and elastoplastic properties of two types of advanced high strength steels (AHSS) sheets. The specimens were fabricated from Dual-Phase (DP) and a Transformation Induced Plasticity (TRIP) sheets with 0.78 mm and 1.08 mm thick, respectively. Experiments to determine the elastoplastic properties, anisotropy, and Young’s modulus variation were conducted. From the experimental results, it can be observed that the annealing process has a significative effect on the yield stress of the material and on the plateau appearance in the elastoplastic transition zone. Also, the anisotropy of the sheet is significatively reduced when temperatures of 400 °C y 800 °C are used in the process.

Resumen Este artículo presenta los resultados experimentales de la influencia de un proceso de recocido en las propiedades anisotrópicas y elastoplásticas de dos tipos de aceros avanzados de alta resistencia. Los especímenes fueron fabricados de un acero tipo Dual Phase (DP) y de un acero tipo Transformation Induced Plasticity (TRIP) con espesor de 0.8 mm y 1.1 mm, respectivamente. Se realizaron experimentos para determinar las propiedades elastoplásticas, anisotropía y variación del módulo de Young a temperatura ambiente y con dos temperaturas de recocido. De los resultados experimentales, se puede observar que el proceso de recocido tiene un efecto significativo en el esfuerzo de cedencia del material y en la generación del plateau entre la zona de transición elastoplástica. Por otro lado, la anisotropía de la lámina es reducida de forma significativa con las temperaturas de 400 °C y 800 °C utilizadas para el proceso de recocido.

Abstract: Osteochondromas or osteocartilaginous exostoses are the most frequent benign neoplasms of the chest, despite which they are exceptional. Isolated or multiple lesions can be found, forming part of a genetic disorder called-hereditary multiple cartilage exostosis. Spontaneous hemothorax is an unusual presentation of rib exostoses. We describe the case of a 13-year-old male adolescent with spontaneous hemothorax, secondary to rib exostosis, demonstrated by imaging techniques. Surgical treatment was performed by thoracoscopy and thoracotomy with resection of the lesion.

Resumen: Los osteocondromas o exostosis osteocartilaginosas son las neoplasias benignas más frecuentes del tórax, pese a ello son excepcionales. Pueden encontrarse lesiones aisladas o múltiples, formando parte de un trastorno genético llamado exostosis cartilaginosa múltiple hereditaria. El hemotórax espontáneo es una presentación inusual de las exostosis costales. Se describe el caso de un adolescente de 13 años de edad con hemotórax espontáneo secundario a exostosis costal demostrada por técnicas de imagen. Se realizó tratamiento quirúrgico mediante toracoscopia y toracotomía con resección de la lesión.

Abstract Introduction: aberrant crypt foci (ACF) are colon preneoplastic lesions that can be used as a tool to study preventive processes for colorectal cancer (CRC). This model consists of initiation induced by azoxymethane (AOM) and promoted by sodium dextran sulfate (DSS), simulating human colonic carcinogenesis in a rat model. There is no direct information on the effects of this process on nutritional markers. Objective: to determine the effect on nutritional markers after the induction of ACF by AOM/DSS in a rat model. Methods: ACF were induced in 24 four-week-old Sprague Dawley male rats by administration of 2 AOM injections (10 mg/kg) and 7 days of 2% DSS in their drinking water. Body weight gain, food and fluid intake, weight of sacrificial organs, nutritional biochemical profiles, liver and kidney toxicity were evaluated. Cell counts in blood were also performed and histological sections evaluated in specific organs. The model was confirmed with identification and counts of ACF. Half of the rats were sacrificed at the sub-chronic stage and the rest at the chronic stage. Results: at the sub-chronic stage, changes in the liver and colon weight, and in the lymphocyte count were observed. For both stages, histopathological damage was observed in liver, kidney and colon, along with alterations in serum glucose levels. Conclusions: the model for proposed ACF can be used at the sub-chronic stage without the need for observation at the chronic stage. More research is needed to determine the mechanism of the observed effects.

Resumen Introducción: los focos de criptas aberrantes (ACF) son lesiones preneoplásicas en colon que pueden ser utilizados como herramienta para estudiar procesos preventivos para el cáncer colorectal (CCR). Este modelo consiste en la iniciación inducida por azoximetano (AOM) y promovida por dextrano sulfato sódico (DSS) simulando una carcinogénesis colónica humana en un modelo de rata. No existe información directa de los efectos sobre marcadores nutricios para este proceso. Objetivo: determinar el efecto sobre marcadores nutricios tras la inducción de ACF por AOM/DSS en un modelo de rata. Métodos: se utilizaron veinticuatro ratas machos Sprague Dawley de 4 semanas para la inducción de ACF por administración de 2 inyecciones de AOM (10 mg/kg) y 7 días de DSS al 2% en el agua para beber. Se evaluó la ganancia de peso corporal, el consumo de alimento y de líquidos, el peso de órganos al sacrificio, perfiles bioquímicos nutricios, de toxicidad hepática y renal. Asimismo, se realizaron conteos celulares en sangre y se evaluaron cortes histológicos en órganos específicos. El modelo se confirmó con la identificación y conteos de ACF. Se sacrificó la mitad de las ratas en etapa subcrónica y las demás en etapa crónica. Resultados: en la etapa subcrónica se observaron cambios entre grupos en el peso del hígado y colon, y en el conteo de linfocitos. En ambas etapas se observaron daños histopatológicos en hígado, riñón y colon, así como alteraciones en los niveles de glucosa sérica. Conclusiones: el modelo para ACF propuesto puede ser utilizado en etapa subcrónica sin necesidad de llevarlo a tiempo crónico. Es necesaria más investigación para determinar el mecanismo de los efectos observados.

ABSTRACT Background: Immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMID) are chronic and highly disabling diseases that share inflammatory sequences and immunological dysregulations. Considered as a disease in itself, the prevalence of IMID is virtually unknown. The aim of this study was to assess the prevalence of 10 selected UDI, including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, systemic lupus erythematosus, hidradenitis suppurativa, sarcoidosis and uveitis in Spain. Methods: A cross-sectional epidemiological study of point prevalence was made. This study was carried out through a series of computerized interviews in households chosen at random in 17 autonomous communities in Spain. A structured questionnaire was used to determine the frequency of diagnosis and the concurrence of 10 IMID in the respondents and other individuals belonging to the same family nucleus. The point prevalence estimates were used and compared with the objective of determining the frequency of IMID by age, sex and communities. The data were processed using Excel 2016 (Microsoft, Redmond, WA, USA) and the SPSS V.019 system (IBM Corp. Armonk, NY, USA) for statistical analysis using the usual statistical tests in this type of studies. Results: Of the 7,980 respondents, 510 were diagnosed with an IMID, representing a cross-sectional study of 6.39% (95% CI: 6.02-6.76). One, two, three or more members of the family were affected in 87.2%, 7.8% and 5% of positive relatives in IMID, respectively. The most recurrent diseases were psoriasis (2.69% 95% CI: 2.32-3.06) and rheumatic arthritis (1.07% 95% CI: 0.70-1.44). There were differences in prevalence due to sex (p = 0.004) and age (p = 0.000). No significant differences were identified related to geographic location (p = 0.819). Attendance of at least 2 IMID was reported in 8.9% of respondents. Conclusions: The overall prevalence was of the IMID studied was 6.39%, psoriasis being the most frequent with 2.69%. This study constitutes an initial step to consider IMID as an independent disease within the health system.

El objetivo de este trabajo fue valorar la prevalencia de 10 IMID seleccionadas, incluyendo artritis reumatoide, psoriasis, artritis psoriásica, espondilitis anquilosante, colitis ulcerosa, enfermedad de Crohn, lupus eritematoso sistémico, hidrosadenitis supurativa, sarcoidosis y uveítis en España. Abstract OBJECTIVE: To determine the correlation between the risk of malignancy index Jacobs II and anatomopathological result in ovarian tumors. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Observational, retrospective, prospective, analytical and transversal study of patients with a diagnosis of ovarian tumor with tumor marker of Ca 125 and the result of pathology admitted to the Christus Muguerza Conchita Hospital in Nuevo León during a 2-year period (2016-2018). Risk of malignancy index Jacobs II was calculated: IRM = U x M x Ca 125. Two groups were divided according to the results of histopathology (benign and malignant). For variables of central tendency, were compared with Student&apos;s t-test adjusted to two-tailed normality (P <0.05). For categorical sampling, compared with the 2-tailed Fisher&apos;s test to describe the differences between the groups or distribution c2 (P <0.05). The sample was studied to observe risk / benefit factors (AUROC) as well as determination of the odds ratio, relative risk, sensitivity, specificity and creation of the logistic regression model of the indicators of interest. RESULTS: It was found that patients with a Jacobs II malignancy index higher than 155.22 (AUROC 0.95) were more likely to have a malignant lesion due to pathology with 88% sensitivity and 91% specificity. CONCLUSION: There is a correlation between the risk index for malignancy of Jacobs II and the anatomopathological result in ovarian tumors.

Resumen OBJETIVO: Determinar la correlación entre el cálculo del índice de riesgo de malignidad de Jacobs II y el reporte anatomopatológico de tumores de ovario. MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS: Estudio observacional, retrospectivo y prospectivo, analítico y transversal efectuado en pacientes con diagnóstico de tumoración ovárica con marcador tumoral de Ca 125 atendidas en el Hospital Christus Muguerza Conchita, Nuevo León, de 2016 a 2018. Se realizó el cálculo del índice de riesgo de malignidad de Jacobs II: IRM = U x M x Ca 125. Las pacientes se dividieron dos grupos según los reportes de histopatología (benignos y malignos). Las variables de tendencia central se compararon con t de Student ajustada a normalidad de dos colas (p < 0.05). Para describir las diferencias entre los grupos los muestreos categóricos se compararon con la prueba de Fisher de 2 colas o distribución de c2 (p < 0.05). Se estudió la muestra para observar factores de riesgo-beneficio (AUROC) y determinar el coeficiente de momios, riesgo relativo, sensibilidad, especificidad y creación del modelo de regresión logística de los indicadores de interés. RESULTADOS: Se seleccionaron 323 pacientes con diagnóstico de tumoración ovárica y se encontró que las pacientes con un índice de malignidad de Jacobs II mayor de 155.22 (AUROC 0.95) tuvieron mayor probabilidad de tener una lesión maligna por patología, con sensibilidad de 88% y especificidad de 91%. CONCLUSIÓN: Existe una correlación entre el índice de riesgo de malignidad de Jacobs II con el reporte anatomopatológico de tumores de ovario.

ABSTRACT The remnants of coastal Mediterranean sclerophyll forests in Chile have a low representativeness in the National System of Protected Wild Areas despite their high endemism and species richness. In the Biobío Region, the Hualpén Terrestrial Biology Station (EBT) protects a remnant of this type of forest, for which there are no revisions describing its flora, which makes it difficult to formulate and develop strategies for its protection and conservation. This work aims are: a) to describe the taxonomic composition of vascular plants of the ETB and b) to provide information on their geographical origin, habit and conservation status. The resulting floristic list includes species identified through systematic sampling in the study area for one year, as well as EBT species stored in the collection of the Universidad de Concepción Herbarium. We identified 292 species of vascular plants, where 71 species are endemic, 124 are native, 99 are alien species. From the floristic point of view the Asteraceae family was the most diverse with 36 species, followed by Poaceae with 32 species and Fabaceae with 18 species. Herbs were the most frequent growth habit (77.2%), followed by shrub (13.9%), tree (7.5%) and sub-shrub (1.4%). Nineteen endemic and native species have been classified in some category of conservation in continental Chile, standing out Gomortega keule and Pitavia punctata both classified as endangered species, and the fern Asplenium trilobum classified as a least concern in Chile and vulnerable in the Biobío Region. Despite of the reduced protected area in the EBT (70 ha), the site has a high species richness of native species when compared with data obtained from other studies of flora in sites of central Chile.

RESUMEN Los remanentes de los bosques esclerófilos mediterráneos costeros en Chile tienen una baja representatividad en el Sistema Nacional de Áreas Silvestres Protegidas, a pesar de su alto endemismo y riqueza de especies. En la Región del Biobío, la Estación de Biología Terrestre de Hualpén (EBT) conserva un remanente de este tipo de bosque, para el cual no existen revisiones que describan su flora, lo que dificulta la formulación y el desarrollo de estrategias para su protección y conservación. Este trabajo tiene como objetivos: a) describir la composición taxonómica de las plantas vasculares de la ETB y b) entregar información sobre su origen geográfico, hábito y estado de conservación. El listado florístico obtenido incluye tanto las especies determinadas a través del muestreo sistemático en el área de estudio durante un año, así como las especies de la EBT ingresadas en la colección del Herbario de la Universidad de Concepción. Se determinaron 294 especies de plantas vasculares de las cuales 71 son endémicas, 124 son nativas y 99 son introducidas. Desde el punto de vista florístico, la familia Asteraceae fue la má diversa con 36 especies, seguidas de Poaceae con 32 especies y Fabaceae con 18 especies. Las hierbas fueron el hábito de crecimiento más frecuente (77,2%), seguida de las categorías arbusto (13,9%), árbol (7,5%) y subarbustos (1,4%). Diecinueve especies endémicas y nativas han sido clasificadas en alguna categoría de conservación en Chile continental, destacando Gomortega keule y Pitavia punctata, ambas clasificadas como especies En peligro, y el helecho Asplenium trilobum catalogado bajo la categoría Preocupación menor en Chile y Vulnerable en la Región del Biobío. A pesar de la reducida superficie protegida en la EBT (70 ha), el lugar cuenta con una alta riqueza de especies nativas si se la compara con datos obtenidos en otros estudios de flora en sitios de Chile central.

Abstract: Eventration of the diaphragm is a rare disease in children, defined as an abnormal elevation, either partially or totally, of the diaphragm without a solution of continuity associated with the displacement of the abdominal organs into the chest. Some reports refer an incidence of 1 to 3/1,000 newborns. It occurs more frequently in males, and represents 5% of all diaphragmatic abnormalities. They are classified according to their origin in congenital and acquired each having particular characteristics. It can occur in isolation or associated with other birth defects: pulmonary hypoplasia, congenital heart disease, pectus excavatum, cleft palate, hypospadias, cryptorchidism and congenital torticollis. The diagnosis is made with a chest film and a side where an elevated right hemidiaphragm is displayed at least two intercostal spaces above the left, or left intercostal space high above the law. The treatment of ED differs depending on its origin and clinical manifestations being in some cases required surgical management so a case report and review of the literature is presented.

Resumen: La eventración diafragmática es una patología infrecuente en la edad pediátrica, definida como una elevación anormal, ya sea parcial o total del diafragma, sin una solución de la continuidad asociada con el desplazamiento de los órganos abdominales hacia el tórax. Algunos reportes refieren una incidencia de 1-3/1,000 recién nacidos. Se presenta con mayor frecuencia en el sexo masculino y representa el 5% de todas las anomalías diafragmáticas. Según su origen se clasifican en congénita y adquirida teniendo cada una de ellas características particulares. Puede presentarse de manera aislada o asociada con otros defectos congénitos como: hipoplasia pulmonar, enfermedad cardíaca congénita, pectum excavatum, paladar hendido, hipospadias, criptorquidia y tortícolis congénita. El diagnóstico se realiza con una radiografía de tórax posteroanterior y una lateral en donde se muestre una elevación del hemidiafragma derecho al menos dos espacios intercostales por arriba del izquierdo, o el izquierdo elevado un espacio intercostal por arriba del derecho. El tratamiento de la ED difiere dependiendo de su origen y manifestaciones clínicas, siendo en algunos casos necesario el manejo quirúrgico por lo que se presenta un caso clínico así como la revisión de la literatura.

This work was to evaluate the influence of the organic compound in the production of plants capirona. The experiment was conducted at the Research Center Dale E. Bandy the IIAP Ucayali. Treatments were distributed in a randomized complete (DCA) design with 5 treatments 3 replications and 10 plants per experimental unit, the treatments were: T1 [alluvial soil]; T2 [agricultural soil]; T3 [alluvial soil + agricultural soil (1: 1)]; T4 [alluvial soil + rice hull + chicken manure (1: 1: 1)] and T5 [agricultural soil + rice hull + chicken manure (1: 1: 1]. The variables evaluated at the end of the experiment were plant height (H) (cm), basal diameter (BD) (mm), number of leaves, relative height and basal diameter (H/BD), dry mass of the aerial part (DMAP) (g) dry weight of the root (DWR) (g) and quality index Dickson (QID). The results show that the T4 and T5 treatments, had higher significant differences in all variables evaluated in relation to other treatments. In that sense it is concluded that the substrates [alluvial soil + rice hull chicken manure] and [agricultural soil + rice hull + chicken manure], waste from animal and vegetable sources provided greater efficiency and better quality growth of plants capirona suitable for definitive field

Este trabajo tuvo como objetivo evaluar la influencia del compuesto orgánico en la producción de plantas de capirona. El experimento fue realizado en el Centro de Investigaciones Dale E. Bandy del IIAP Ucayali. Los tratamientos fueron distribuidos mediante un Diseño Completos al Azar (DCA), con 5 tratamientos 3 repeticiones y 10 plantas por unidad experimental, los tratamientos fueron: T1 [Tierra aluvial]; T2 [tierra agrícola]; T3 [Tierra aluvial + tierra agrícola (1:1)]; T4 [Tierra aluvial + cascarilla de arroz + gallinaza (1:1:1)] y T5 [Tierra Agrícola+ cascarilla de arroz + gallinaza (1:1:1]. Las variables evaluadas al final del experimento fueron altura de planta (H) (cm); diámetro basal (DB) (mm); número de hojas; relación altura y diámetro basal (H∕DB); masa seca de la parte aérea (MSPA) (g); masa seca de la raíz (MSR) (g) e índice de calidad de Dickson (IQD). Los resultados muestran que los tratamientos T4 y T5 presentaron diferencias significativas superiores en todas las variables evaluadas en relación a los otros tratamientos. En ese sentido se concluye que los sustratos [Tierra aluvial + cascarilla de arroz + gallinaza] y [Tierra Agrícola+ cascarilla de arroz + gallinaza], provenientes de residuos de origen animal y vegetal proporcionaron mayor eficiencia en el crecimiento y mejor calidad de plantas de capirona aptas para campo definitivo

As a product of recent studies, we document the presence of seven new bat species for the chiropterofauna of Nicaragua: Mimon cozumelae, Natalus lanatus, Perimyotis subflavus, Lasiurus cinereus, Lasiurus intermedius, Eptesicus brasiliensis and Nyctinomops laticaudatus. In this work, we verify the presence of four other species: Mormoops megalophylla, Phylloderma stenops, Thyroptera tricolor and Furipterus horrens, included in the latest list of mammals of the country (Medina-Fitoria and Saldaña, 2012) but not supported by a scientific publication. Our work also confirms the presence of Cyttarops alecto, Lasiurus ega, Eptesicus fuscus and Antrozous dubiaquercus in the country, species currently represented by only one record in Nicaragua. In addition, the herein newly reported records of Perymiotis subflavus and Furipterus horrens constitute an extension in its distribution. This work updates the diversity of bats of Nicaragua to 61 genera and 108 species.

Recientes trabajos han resultado en la documentación de la presencia de siete nuevos registros de especies de murciélagos para la fauna de Nicaragua: Mimon cozumelae, Natalus lanatus, Nyctinomops laticaudatus, Perimyotis subflavus, Lasiurus cinereus, Lasiurus intermedius y Eptesicus brasiliensis. En este trabajo, se formaliza la presencia de otras cuatro especies: Mormoops megalophylla, Phylloderma stenops, Thyroptera tricolor y Furipterus horrens, que, aunque fueron incluidas en el más reciente listado de mamíferos del país (Medina-Fitoria y Saldaña, 2012), no estaban apoyadas por ninguna publicación científica. Nuestro trabajo también confirma la presencia en el país de Cyttarops alecto, Lasiurus ega, Eptesicus fuscus y Antrozous dubiaquercus, especies únicamente conocidas a la fecha por un solo reporte. Adicionalmente, los registros de Perimyotis subflavus y Furipterus horrens constituyen una ampliación de su rango de distribución. Este trabajo actualiza la diversidad de murciélagos de Nicaragua en 61 géneros y108 especies.

Este trabalho apresenta uma revisão da literatura existente, mais recente, sobre visão computacional aplicada à inspeção de frutas e verduras. Foram analisadas as técnicas mais empregadas para estimar diversas propriedades relacionadas com a qualidade. Os objetivos das aplicações típicas de tais sistemas incluem a classificação, a estimativa da qualidade segundo características internas ou externas, o seguimento dos processos da fruta durante o armazenamento ou a avaliação de tratamentos experimentais. Em geral, um sistema de visão computacional não só pode substituir a inspeção manual, mas também melhorar suas capacidades. Conclui-se que os sistemas de visão computacional são potentes ferramentas para a inspeção automática da qualidade de frutas e verduras, e o desenvolvimento de sistemas deste tipo, adaptados à indústria de alimentos, é fundamental para adquirir vantagens competitivas.

This is a review of the current existing literature concerning the inspection of fruits and vegetables with the application of computer vision, where the techniques most used to estimate various properties related to quality are analyzed. The objectives of the typical applications of such systems include the classification, quality estimation according to the internal and external characteristics, supervision of fruit processes during storage or the evaluation of experimental treatments. In general, computer vision systems do not only replace manual inspection, but can also improve their skills. In conclusion, computer vision systems are powerful tools for the automatic inspection of fruits and vegetables. In addition, the development of such systems adapted to the food industry is fundamental to achieve competitive advantages.
