Resumen: En diferentes ensayos se ha evidenciado que el empleo, tanto del vermicompost (VC) como del acolchado plástico ha favorecido el rendimiento y la productividad de una gran cantidad de cultivos. El propósito del estudio fue equiparar la fertilización sintética vs la incorporación del VC sobre el desarrollo de la sandía triploide con acolchado plástico en el ciclo agrícola primavera-verano 2019, en el campo experimental de la Universidad Autónoma Agraria Antonio Narro. Los tratamientos evaluados, cada uno con tres repeticiones, fueron: aplicación exploratoria de VC, a razón de 30 y 60 Mg ha-1, y como testigo, la recomendación regional 240-120-00 ha-1 (N-P-K). La siembra de semillas de sandía triploide, variedad Crunchy Red, se realizó en bandejas de unicel de 200 cavidades, rellenas con Peat Moss, cuando las plántulas tuvieron de dos a tres hojas verdaderas se realizó el trasplante, colocándolas a 1.0 m, entre éstas, sobre camas de siembra, de 2 × 8 m (ancho y largo, respectivamente) cubiertas con plástico negro. Para el suministro de agua se utilizó riego por cintilla. Para evaluar el efecto de los tratamientos se utilizó un diseño experimental completamente al azar, mientras que para las comparaciones de las medias se aplicó la prueba DMS0.05. Debido al efecto de los tratamientos evaluados cinco de las variables estudiadas: diámetros polar y ecuatorial, espesor de pulpa, sólidos solubles y peso del fruto registraron diferencias altamente significativas, mientras que el rendimiento presentó diferencia significativa. El mayor rendimiento de 29 932 Mg ha-1 se registró con la aplicación de 60 Mg ha-1 de VC, confirmándose que este producto logró cubrir la demanda nutritiva de la sandía triploide sin fertilización sintética.

Summary: In different trials have shown that the use of both vermicompost (VC) and plastic mulch has favored the yield and productivity of a large number of crops. The purpose of our study was to compare synthetic fertilization vs the incorporation of VC on the development of triploid watermelon with plastic mulch in the spring-summer 2019 agricultural cycle at the experimental field of the Universidad Autónoma Agraria Antonio Narro. The treatments evaluated, each with three repetitions, were: exploratory application of VC, at a rate of 30 and 60 Mg ha-1, and as a control, the regional recommendation 240-120-00 ha-1 (N-P-K). The sowing was carried out in planting beds of 2 × 8 m (width and length, respectively) covered with black plastic. The sowing of the triploid watermelon seeds of the Crunchy Red variety, was carried out in Styrofoam trays with 200 cavities filled with Peat Moss. When the seedlings had two to three true leaves, they were transplanted 1.0 m apart on planting beds of 2 × 8 m (width and length, respectively) covered with black plastic. For the supply of water, drip irrigation was used. To evaluate the effect of the treatments, a completely randomized experimental design was used, the DMS0.05 test was applied for comparisons of the means. Due to the effect of the treatments evaluated, five of the variables studied: equatorial and polar diameters, pulp thickness, soluble solids and fruit weight presented highly significant differences, while yield registered a significant difference. The highest yield of 29 932 Mg ha-1 was recorded with the incorporation of 60 Mg ha-1 of VC confirming that this natural fertilizer was able to satisfy the nutritional needs of triploid watermelon without synthetic fertilization.

SUMMARY: The teaching of human anatomy plays a fundamental role for both students and health professionals; understanding the structure of the human body is essential for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. In this context, this systematic review article focused on answering the following main question: What are the most effective methodological strategies for teaching human anatomy? To address this question, an exhaustive investigation was carried out involving the consultation of recognized databases such as Web of Science (Wos), PubMed and Scopus, covering the period from 2013 to 2023. It was concluded that effective teaching of human anatomy is achieved through various methodological strategies, including the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs), practice in dissection laboratories, active learning methods, teacher training factors, evaluation of student performance and promotion of collaborative learning.

RESUMEN: La enseñanza de la anatomía humana desempeña un papel fundamental tanto para estudiantes como para profesionales del ámbito de la salud; comprender la estructura del cuerpo humano resulta esencial para realizar diagnósticos precisos y llevar a cabo tratamientos efectivos. En este contexto, el presente artículo de revisión sistemática se enfocó en responder a la siguiente pregunta principal: ¿Cuáles son las estrategias metodológicas más efectivas para la enseñanza de la anatomía humana?. Para abordar esta cuestión, se llevó a cabo una exhaustiva investigación que incluyó la consulta de bases de datos reconocidas como Web of Science (Wos), PubMed y Scopus, abarcando el periodo comprendido entre 2013 y 2023. Se concluyó que la enseñanza efectiva de la anatomía humana se alcanza a través de diversas estrategias metodológicas, entre las que se incluyen el uso de tecnologías de la información y comunicación (TICs), la realización de prácticas en laboratorios de disección, métodos de aprendizaje activo, factores de formación docente, la evaluación del desempeño estudiantil y la promoción del aprendizaje colaborativo.

Resumen La Pancreatitis Aguda es un efecto secundario inusual de la metformina. Se presenta el caso de una mujer de 29 años con antecedentes de Pancreatitis Aguda Necrotizante Baltazar D en 2020. En marzo de 2021, presenta nuevamente pancreatitis aguda, esta vez clasificada como Baltazar C, sin necrosis evidente. Las investigaciones no revelaron causas habituales, pero se destacó que, en las dos semanas previas a ambos episodios, la paciente había recibido tratamiento con metformina para el síndrome de Ovario Poliquístico y Prediabetes, respectivamente. La respuesta exitosa incluyó la administración de líquidos intravenosos y la suspensión del medicamento, lo cual evitó complicaciones inmediatas y logró una reversión completa de los síntomas. En casos similares, es crucial identificar factores de riesgo, ajustar la dosis según la función renal y realizar una vigilancia estrecha ante cualquier sintomatología asociada con la Pancreatitis Aguda.

Abstract Acute Pancreatitis is an unusual side effect of Metformin. The case of a 29-year-old woman with a history of necrotizing Acute Pancreatitis, classified as Baltazar D in 2020, is presented. In March 2021, she experienced another episode of Acute Pancreatitis, this time classified as Baltazar C, without evident necrosis. Investigations did not reveal common causes, but it was noted that, in the two weeks preceding both episodes, the patient had received Metformin treatment for Polycystic Ovary syndrome and Prediabetes, respectively. The successful response involved intravenous fluid administration and discontinuation of the medication, preventing immediate complications, and achieving complete reversal of symptoms. In similar cases, it is crucial to identify risk factors, adjust the dose based on renal function, and closely monitor for any symptoms associated with acute pancreatitis.

Resumen La peritonitis esclerosante encapsulada es una condición rara caracterizada por una membrana fibrótica que se genera sobre las asas intestinales causando cuadros de oclusión intestinal. Se presenta el caso de un paciente varón de 56 años con antecedente de derivación gastroyeyunal por laparoscopia que presenta oclusión intestinal. Se realizó tomografía computada que evidenció sitio de transición previo al sitio de anastomosis. Se realizó de anastomosis extensa y toma de biopsias. Histológicamente se observó engrosamiento de la membrana peritoneal, células fusiformes (D2-40 positivo en inmunohistoquímica) similares a fibroblastos con láminas de colágeno peritoneal denso. La peritonitis esclerosante encapsulada es una patología de prevalencia desconocida. El cuadro clínico es inespecífico y el diagnóstico definitivo es por patología con biopsia peritoneal.

Abstract A rare condition, sclerosing encapsulating peritonitis, is characterized by a fibrotic membrane forming over the bowels, leading to intestinal obstruction. In this case of a 56-year-old male patient with a history of laparoscopic gastric bypass, a computed tomography scan showed findings indicative of the condition. Extensive adhesiolysis was performed, and biopsies confirmed the presence of fusiform cells (D2-40 positive on immunochemistry) resembling fibroblasts, within dense collagenous peritoneal tissue sheets, typical of sclerosing encapsulating peritonitis. The prevalence of this condition is uncertain, and diagnosis typically requires a peritoneal biopsy due to the nonspecific clinical presentation.

RESUMEN Introducción: El cáncer colorrectal ocupa el tercer lugar en frecuencia diagnostica. El 90 % se curan en su estadio inicial y el 60 % de las muertes se evitan con la detección temprana para tratamiento quirúrgico optimizado. El programa de recuperación precoz en pacientes con cirugía colorrectal electiva es un enfoque basado en la evidencia que proporciona atención segura y reduce la mortalidad, la morbilidad y aumenta la satisfacción de los pacientes en el período perioperatorio. Objetivo: Implementar el modelo predictivo del programa de recuperación precoz en pacientes con cirugía colorrectal electiva. Métodos: Se realizó un estudio cuasiexperimental en pacientes quirúrgicos electivos con cáncer colorrectal, de enero 2018 a enero 2022, con un universo de 334 pacientes y una muestra de 268. La información se obtuvo de la historia clínica y protocolos de necropsia en caso de pacientes fallecidos. Se realizó la función de regresión logística binaria a partir de la entrada de los factores de riesgo y factores protectores de mortalidad identificados. Las variables seleccionadas en la ecuación se constituyeron en predictores de riesgo de mortalidad. Resultados: Se efectuó la prueba estadística de Hosmer y Lemeshow para la evaluación de la calidad del modelo de regresión y se obtuvo buen ajuste. La adherencia al programa de recuperación precoz en pacientes con cirugía colorrectal electiva igual o mayor al 80 % disminuye 0,5 veces la probabilidad de mortalidad, comportamiento de la variable como factor de protección. Las variables reingreso precoz, adherencia al programa de recuperación precoz y duración de la intervención quirúrgica constituyeron predictores incluidos en el modelo. Conclusiones: La optimización del tratamiento quirúrgico del paciente con cáncer colorrectal basado en la adherencia al programa utiliza como medio la calidad de las estimaciones estadísticas empleadas en la elaboración, validación e implementación del modelo predictivo desarrollado.

ABSTRACT Introduction: Colorectal cancer is the third type of cancer diagnosed. 90% of patients are cured in an early stage, 60% of deaths are prevented with early detection for optimized surgical treatment. The early recovery program in patients with elective colorectal surgery is an evidence-based approach that provides safe care and reduces mortality, morbidity and increases patient satisfaction in the perioperative period. Objective: To implement the predictive model of the early recovery program in patients with elective colorectal surgery. Methods: It was carried out a quasi-experimental study in elective surgical patients with colorectal cancer, from January 2018 to January 2022, with a universe of 334 patients and a sample of 268.The information was obtained from the clinical history and autopsy protocols in case of deceased patients. It was performed the binary logistic regression function from the input of the identified risk factors and protective factors for mortality. The variables selected in the equation became predictors of mortality risk. Results: It was carried out the statistical test of Hosmer and Lemeshow to evaluate the quality of the regression model and it was obtained a good fit. Adherence to the early recovery program in patients with elective colorectal surgery equal to or greater than 80% decreases the probability of mortality by 0,5 times, behavior of the variable as a protective factor. The variables: early readmission, adherence to the early recovery program and duration of the surgical intervention were predictors included in the model. Conclusions: The optimization of the surgical treatment of the patient with colorectal cancer based on the adherence to the program, uses as a means the quality of the statistical estimations, used in the elaboration, validation and implementation of the developed predictive model.

RESUMEN Introducción. Perú fue uno de los países más afectados por la pandemia de COVID-19, con más de 220 000 muertes registradas a causa de la infección por SARS-CoV-2. Ante las constantes mutaciones del virus y variantes registradas, es importante realizar investigaciones que reflejen la evolución del estado inmunológico humoral. Objetivo. Medir la seroprevalencia de COVID-19 en el transcurso de la pandemia en el departamento de Lima en el periodo comprendido entre el 1 de abril del 2020 y el 30 de junio de 2022, en muestras de donantes de sangre de 6 bancos de sangre de hospitales públicos de Lima, Perú. Métodos. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo, transversal, observacional y retrospectivo, que determinó la presencia de anticuerpos IgM/IgG contra SARS-CoV-2 mediante inmunoensayo cromatográfico de flujo lateral en muestras de donantes de sangre sanos y asintomáticos de bancos de sangre de 6 establecimientos de salud del departamento de Lima. Resultados. Se observó un aumento progresivo de la seroprevalencia de IgG y reactividad total de anticuerpos IgM/IgG contra SARS-CoV-2 de la siguiente manera: 22,6% - 32,7% durante el 2020; 53,9% -58,1% durante el 2021; 88,9% -93,3% durante el primer semestre del 2022. Conclusiones. La reactividad y presencia de anticuerpos anti-SARS-CoV-2 aumentaron progresivamente durante la pandemia COVID-19 de 11,2% al 98,4% en las muestras evaluadas posiblemente con el impacto de las olas pandémicas y de la activa campaña de vacunación contra la COVID-19.

ABSTRACT Introduction. Peru was one of the countries most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, with more than 220,000 deaths recorded due to SARS-CoV-2 infection. Given the constant mutations of the virus and registered variants, it is important to carry out research that reflects the evolution of the humoral immune state. Objective. Measure the seroprevalence of COVID-19 during the pandemic in the department of Lima in the period between April 1, 2020 and June 30, 2022, in donor samples from 6 hospital blood banks public of Lima, Peru. Methods. A descriptive, transversal, observational and retrospective study was carried out evaluating the presence of IgM/IgG antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 using lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay in samples from healthy and asymptomatic donors from blood banks of 6 health facilities in the department of Lima. Results. A progressive increase in the seroprevalence of IgG and total reactivity of IgM/IgG antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 will be observed as follows: 22,6% - 32,7% during 2020; 53,9% - 58,1% during 2021; 88,9% - 93,3% during the first half of 2022. Conclusions. The reactivity and presence of anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies progressively increase during the COVID-19 pandemic from 11,2% to 98,4% in the samples evaluated, possibly with the impact of the pandemic waves and the active vaccination campaign against COVID-19.

La Constitución de 1823, las provincias y los indígenas del Perú: el caso de Huaylas

RESUMEN Durante la lucha por la independencia y a iniciativa de San Martín, el Perú eligió a los diputados que escribieron su primera Constitución. ¿Cuál fue la participación de los pueblos del interior en este proceso? Tomando como estudio de caso la intervención del departamento de Huaylas, el presente artículo quiere dar respuesta a esta interrogante. Según el análisis documentario, se observa que su convocatoria generó grandes expectativas en las provincias, especialmente entre los indígenas de Huaylas, quienes plantearon, como tercera alternativa a la forma de gobierno a aprobar, una reinvención del Tahuantinsuyo. Se concluye que los indígenas de Huaylas, pese a no ser considerados ciudadanos por la Constitución, con la esperanza de conseguir sus propias reivindicaciones, supieron negociar con las autoridades su participación en la lucha por la independencia, con Luzuriaga en 1821, apoyando las ideas nacionalistas de Riva Agüero y, finalmente, con Simón Bolívar entre 1823 y 1824.

ABSTRACT Amid the struggle for independence and at the initiative of San Martin, Peru elected the deputies who wrote its first Constitution. How was the participation of the people of the interior in this process? This article aims to answer this question based on the case study of the intervention of the department of Huaylas. According to the documentary analysis, it is observed that its call generated great expectations in the provinces, especially among the indigenous people of Huaylas who proposed a reinvention of Tahuantinsuyo as a third alternative to the form of government to be approved. In conclusion, the natives of Huaylas negotiated their participation in the independence struggle with Luzuriaga in 1821, supported Riva Agüero, and joined the Liberation Army of Simón Bolívar between 1823 and 1824 so they could obtain their claims. All of these, even when they were not considered citizens by the Constitution.

Resumen Introducción: Debido a la pandemia de COVID-19, se realizaron estudios clínicos aleatorizados con Remdesivir en combinación con Bariticinib o Dexametasona, que han demostrado efectividad para el tratamiento de COVID-19. Objetivo: Se realizo un análisis del efecto del co-tratamiento con Remdesivir en una muestra retrospectiva en México. Métodos: Se incluyeron 34 pacientes tratados con Remdesivir en combinación con Baricitinib o Dexametasona. Se registraron edad, sexo, comorbilidades, signos y síntomas al ingreso hospitalario, necesidades de intubación, requerimientos de unidad de cuidados intensivos (UCI), días de estancia hospitalaria y su evolución, así como datos de laboratorio al ingreso y al ingreso al final del tratamiento con Remdesivir. Resultados: La mayoría eran varones, con una edad de 56.5 años (49 años-60.3 años), cuya principal comorbilidad era la obesidad. Los principales síntomas al ingreso fueron disnea y tos. Treinta y dos pacientes recibieron el régimen corto de Remdesivir, 22 fueron cotratados con Baricitinb y 12 con Dexametasona. La mayoría no requirió atención en UCI, 9 pacientes fallecieron, 19% de los cotratados con Baricitinib y 42% de los cotratados con Dexametasona. Se observó una disminución significativa en los niveles de hemoglobina, proteínas, albúmina y LDH. Conclusión: En este estudio observamos una menor mortalidad en los pacientes cotratados con Baricitinib frente a los cotratados con Dexametasona, y una estancia hospitalaria similar a la reportada en estudios clínicos aleatorizados.

Abstract Background: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, randomized clinical studies were conducted with Remdesivir in combination with Bariticinib or Dexamethasone, which have shown effectiveness for the treatment of COVID-19. Objective: We analyzed the effect of co-treatment with Remdesivir in a retrospective in Mexico. Methods: Thirty-four patients treated with Remdesivir in combination with Baricitinib or Dexamethasone were included. Age, sex, comorbidities, signs, and symptoms were recorded at hospital admission, intubation needs, intensive care unit (ICU) requirements, days of hospital stay and their evolution, as well as laboratory data upon admission and upon admission terminate Remdesivir treatment. Results: Most were male, with an age of 56.5 years (49 years-60.3 years), whose main comorbidity was obesity. The main symptoms on admission were dyspnea and cough. Thirty-two patients received the short Remdesivir regimen, 22 were co-treated with Baricitinb and 12 with Dexamethasone. Most did not require ICU care, 9 patients died, 19% of those co-treated with Baricitinib and 42% of those co-treated with Dexamethasone. A significant decrease in hemoglobin, protein, albumin and LDH levels was observed. Conclusion: In this study, we observed lower mortality in patients co-treated with Baricitinib vs those co-treated with Dexamethasone, and a hospital stay similar to that reported in randomized clinical studies.

RESUMEN Objetivo Correlacionar el Índice de Masa Corporal (IMC) pregestacional y la ganancia de peso durante el embarazo con diversas variables epidemiológicas. Metodología Se realizó un estudio transversal en un hospital de tercer nivel de Cali, Colombia. Se recogieron datos socioeconómicos, antropométricos, antecedentes obstétricos y antecedentes médicos generales de 300 mujeres embarazadas, con edades comprendidas entre 18 y 37 años. Se calculó el IMC al inicio y al final del embarazo. Se realizó análisis estadístico de regresión lineal múltiple. Resultados Un aumento del IMC al inicio y al final de la gestación se correlacionó positivamente con la edad (coeficiente = 0,156; p=0,013, coeficiente = 0,153; p=0,011), diagnóstico de diabetes gestacional (coeficiente = 2,264, p=0,018, coeficiente = 0,153; p=0,011) y preocupación por el aumento de peso durante el embarazo (coeficiente = 1,226; p=0,038, coeficiente = 1,568; p=0,004). Un IMC bajo se correlacionó negativamente con la restricción del crecimiento intrauterino (coeficiente = -3,208; p=0,005). Además, un IMC final más alto se correlacionó positivamente con el diagnóstico de trastorno hipertensivo (coeficiente = 2,733; p<0,001) y negativamente con el nivel socioeconómico (coeficiente = 2,239; p = 0,045). Conclusión El aumento excesivo de peso antes y durante el embarazo es un factor predictivo en la aparición de diabetes gestacional y trastornos hipertensivos, lo que afecta diferencialmente a mujeres de estratos socioeconómicos bajos. Si bien el embarazo es un período crítico en la vida de una mujer, que puede motivar cambios positivos en el estilo de vida, el aumento excesivo de peso todavía no se percibe como un problema de salud.

ABSTRACT Objective To correlate the pregestational Body Mass Index and weight gain during pregnancy with various epidemiological variables. Methodology A cross-sectional study was carried out in a third level hospital in Cali, Colombia. Socioeconomic and anthropometric data, obstetric history and general medical history was collected from 300 pregnant women aged between 18 and 37. BMI was calculated at the beginning and end of pregnancy. Statistical analysis of multiple linear regression was performed. Results An increased BMI at the beginning and end of gestation positively correlated with age (Coefficient = 0.156; p=0.013, Coefficient = 0.153; p=0.011), diagnosis of gestational diabetes (Coefficient = 2.264, p=0.018, Coefficient = 0.153; p=0.011) and concern about weight gain during pregnancy (Coefficient = 1.226; p=0.038, Coefficient = 1.568; p=0.004). A low BMI correlated negatively with Intrauterine Growth Restriction (Coefficient = -3.208; p=0.005). Furthermore, a higher final BMI positively correlated with a diagnosis of hypertensive disorder (Coefficient = 2.733; p<0.001) and negatively with socioeconomic status (Coefficient = 2.239; p=0.045). Conclusion Excessive weight gain before and during pregnancy is a predictive factor in the appearance of gestational diabetes and hypertensive disorders, differentially affecting women from low socioeconomic backgrounds. While pregnancy is a critical period in a woman's life which may motivate positive lifestyle changes, excessive weight gain is still not perceived as a health problem.

ABSTRACT This trial was designed to evaluate the effect of processing method of rehydrated corn grain silage (RCGS) on feed intake, performance, carcass traits, feeding behavior, rumen morphology, and blood metabolites of cattle in the finishing phase. Thirty-eight F1 Angus × Nellore bulls (365±22 kg) raised under grazing conditions were housed in individual pens (2 × 4 m) for the feeding trial. At the end of the adaptation period, animals were weighed after a 16-h fast, blocked by shrunk body weight, and randomly assigned to one of two dietary treatments: GRC, consisting of RCGS that was ground before ensiling using a hammer mill with a uniform 8-mm screen (1.52 mm geometric mean particle size); and RRC, consisting of RCGS that was rolled before ensiling in a roller mill mounted in a bagging machine (2.18 mm geometric mean particle size). Diet ingredients were mixed manually twice daily, at 09:00 and 15:00 h, and offered as total mixed rations in amounts approximately 50 g/kg in excess of daily intake. The experimental diets contained a forage:concentrate ratio of 130:870 g/kg, with 644 g/kg of RCGS. The GRC resulted in greater daily variation in dry matter intake, total-tract digestibility (dry and organic matter), fecal pH, rumen papillae width, and lower first meal duration, meal length, fecal starch, and rumen papillae height than the RRC. However, grinding or rolling RCGS did not affect dry matter intake, growth performance, carcass traits, or health (liver abscesses, ruminitis, serum D-lactate) of finishing beef cattle. Therefore, the processing equipment to make RCGS might be preferable based on equipment availability, milling yield, energy consumption, and diet composition.

RESUMEN Introducción: El deterioro cognitivo leve (DCL) es frecuente en la enfermedad de Parkinson (EP). Pocos estudios han comparado la calidad de vida relacionada con la salud (CVRS) en pacientes con DCL debido a EP (EP-DCL) sin explorar la relación entre la CVRS y las quejas subjetivas cognitivas y comunicativas de los pacientes. Objetivo: Comparar la CVRS en EP-DCL y EP sin DCL (EP-nDCL) explorando sus posibles relaciones con las quejas subjetivas cognitivas y comunicativas. Métodos: Se incluyó a 29 EP-DCL y 11 EP-nDCL. La CVRS se evaluó con el cuestionario PDQ-39: su dimensión Cognición se usó como medida de las quejas subjetivas cognitivas; su dimensión Comunicación, como medida de las quejas subjetivas comunicativas y su puntuación resumen (PDQ-39 SI), como indicador de CVRS. Se realizaron correlaciones parciales no paramétricas entre el PDQ-39 SI ajustado y las dimensiones Cognición y Comunicación. Resultados: Los pacientes EP-DCL presentaron una peor CVRS y mayores quejas subjetivas cognitivas y comunicativas. En el grupo EP-DCL, tanto las quejas subjetivas cognitivas como las comunicativas mostraron correlaciones directas significativas con la puntuación de CVRS ajustada. Conclusiones: La CVRS de los pacientes con EP-DCL parece estar afectada e influida por las quejas subjetivas en cognición y comunicación. Incluir los resultados de CVRS reportados por los pacientes, proveer rehabilitación cognitiva y del lenguaje y estrategias de psicoterapia para afrontar dicho déficit podrían mejorar el abordaje centrado en el paciente en la EP.

ABSTRACT Introduction: Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) is common in Parkinson's Disease (PD). Few studies have compared the Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQoL) in patients with and without MCI due to PD (PD-MCI), and its correlation to patients' subjective cognitive and communicative difficulties has not been explored. Objective: We aimed to compare HRQoL in PD-MCI and PD without MCI (PD-nMCI), and explore its possible relationship to subjective cognitive and communicative complaints. Methods: We included 29 PD-nMCI and 11 PD-MCI patients. The HRQoL was assessed with the Parkinson's Disease Questionnaire-39 (PDQ-39): its Cognition dimension was used as a measure of subjective cognitive complaints, its Communication dimension for subjective communicative complaints, and the summary index (PDQ-39 SI) as an indicator of HRQoL. Non-parametric partial correlations between the Cognition and Communication dimensions, and the adjusted PDQ-39 SI were conducted. Results: PD-MCI patients had greater subjective cognitive and communicative complaints and worse HRQoL than PD-nMCI patients. In the PD-MCI group, both subjective cognitive and communicative complaints exhibited significant direct correlations with the adjusted HRQoL scores. Conclusions: HRQoL seems to be affected in PD-MCI, and it might be influenced by greater subjective cognitive and communicative complaints. Including patient-reported outcome measures of HRQoL, and providing cognitive and speech rehabilitation, as well as psy-chotherapeutic strategies to face these deficits can enhance the patient-centred approach in PD.

Resumen Objetivo: definir el rol de los países participantes en la estructura del comercio mundial de miel, a partir de las capacidades de acceso al mercado global como ofertantes, consumidores y/o reexportadores. Diseño metodológico: el análisis está soportado por un diseño de investigación cuantitativo de corte transversal y alcance descriptivo. Se realizó un ejercicio de modelación por bloques para identificar grupos de comportamiento similar, en un contexto de relaciones de intercambio (centro-periferia), entre actores dominantes de la cadena y otros que gravitan alrededor del núcleo central. Se utilizaron datos binarios: 1 representa conexión o acceso al mercado y 0 la ausencia de intercambio. Resultados: la modelación por bloques se confirma como herramienta analítica del rol de cada país competidor en un contexto de relaciones centro-periferia, en las que emergen posiciones centrales (poder de mercado, gobernabilidad), respecto al resto de agentes de la cadena. Como resultado de la modelación fue posible agrupar a los países en tres bloques: eje central, principales exportadores, mercados secundarios. Hallazgos: la investigación aporta una síntesis de las estrategias de comercio global de miel: exportaciones desde los principales exportadores hacia mercados secundarios; exportaciones de principales exportadores hacia el eje central; exportaciones desde el eje central hacia mercados secundarios; exportaciones desde y hacia el eje central. Limitaciones de la investigación: la binarización de datos representa pérdida de información, sin embargo, no impide analizar la configuración del mercado global de miel.

Abstract Purpose: Define the participating countries role in the world honey trade structure, based on access capacities to the global market as suppliers, consumers and/or re-exporters. Methodological design: the analysis is supported by a cross-sectional quantitative research design and descriptive scope. A block modeling exercise was carried out to identify groups with similar behavior, in a context of exchange relations (center-periphery), between dominant actors in the chain and others that gravitate around the central nucleus. Binary data were used: 1 represents connection or access to the market and 0 the absence of exchange. Results: block modeling is confirmed as an analytical tool of the role of each competing country in a context of center-periphery relations, in which central positions emerge (market power, governance), with respect to the rest of the chain's agents. As a result of the modeling, it was possible to group the countries into three blocks: central axis; main exporters; secondary markets. Findings: The research provides a synthesis of global honey trade strategies: exports from the main exporters to secondary markets; exports from main exporters to the central hub; exports from the central hub to secondary markets; exports to and from the central hub. Research Limitations: binarization of data represents loss of information however, it does not prevent us from analyzing the configuration of the global honey market.

Abstract This investigation is oriented to the treatment of IAS 16 in Ecuadorian commercial companies that have been applying this regulation since 2011. Currently, the state of progress in its application is not well known, which becomes the article's objective. The methodological design encompasses a quantitative approach, a type of descriptive research with a bibliographical-documentary modality, and a descriptive transeccional design. A matrix validated by experts was prepared based on IAS 16, which was contrasted with the audited financial statements, the explanatory notes, and the business policies of the selected companies. The results indicate that: the vast majority of companies use the cost model as a subsequent measurement, all the companies analyzed use the straight-line method to calculate depreciation and, in most of the entities studied, they meet the requirements in the standard regarding information to be disclosed.

Resumen Esta investigación se orienta al tratamiento de la NIC 16 en las empresas comerciales ecuatorianas que vienen aplicando esta normativa desde el año 2011. En la actualidad, no se conoce a ciencia cierta el estado de avance en su aplicación, mismo que se convierte en el objetivo del artículo. El diseño metodológico abarca un enfoque cuantitativo, un tipo de investigación descriptivo con una modalidad bibliográfica - documental y un diseño transeccional descriptivo. Se confeccionó una matriz validada por expertos, elaborada con base en la NIC 16, que fue contrastada con los estados financieros auditados, las notas explicativas y las políticas empresariales de las empresas seleccionadas. Los resultados indican que: las empresas en su gran mayoría utilizan el modelo del costo como medición posterior, todas las empresas analizadas utilizan para cálculo de la depreciación el método de la línea recta y, en la mayoría de las entidades estudiadas, cumplen los requisitos exigidos en la norma en cuanto a información a revelar.

RESUMEN Introducción: Los factores sociodemográficos y socioculturales influyen en la donación de sangre en diversos países, nuestro objetivo de estudio fue determinar cuáles son los factores que influyen en la donación de sangre en el Perú. El estudio: Se realizó un estudio observacional, transversal en personas entre 18 a 60 años a nivel nacional, se analizaron los datos mediante SPSS v.20 Hallazgos: La muestra de estudio fue de 739 personas, el 50,4% hombres; se determinó que hay buen conocimiento acerca de la donación de sangre con un porcentaje mayor al 50% de preguntas contestadas correctamente, así mismo existe una actitud positiva frente a la donación de sangre Conclusiones: Los factores socioculturales que influyen en la donación de sangre es el desconocimiento, un 40% de los participantes desconoce los requisitos básicos para ser donante de sangre, otro factor es la falsa creencia que al estar tomando medicamentos no se puede donar sangre (47%).
