Summary: The application of biofertilizers and biostimulants influence numerous physiological crop responses, with which potentiated production can be achieved and crop quality improved. The use of these products can reduce synthetic fertilization besides improving plant tolerance to stress. Therefore, research was performed with the objective of evaluating the effect of chitosan, mycorrhizal fungi and humic acids on growth and development of pepper varieties under protected conditions. A completely randomized design with a 2 × 4 factorial arrangement was used with three replications, where the first factor was varieties (Magaly and Lycal) and the second one biostimulants: humic acids (1:30 v/v), chitosan (3 g L-1 of water) and mycorrhizal fungi (20 g of spores ml-1), and one control (control) for each variety (without bioactive application). The results showed that the three bioactive agents studied increased seed germination from 11.66 to 16.67% while emergence was enhanced by humic acids and chitosan. On the other hand, humic acids produced plants of higher height at 25 and 45 days after sowing (dap), and stems of higher diameter, which in turn increased seedling fresh and dry biomass (339.38 and 106.72 g). In the same way, they influenced fruit increase per plant (15.33 fruit), length, diameter and weight (12.22 cm, 43.33 mm and 92.22 g), which is why higher values were generated in the Magaly variety yield with 29.16 Mg ha-1. The Magaly variety significantly outperformed Lycal variety in terms of germination (96.67%), emergence (95%), plant height, and stem diameter (25 and 45 dap).

Resumen: La aplicación de biofertilizantes y bioestimulantes influyen en varias respuestas fisiológicas de los cultivos, con ello se puede potencializar la calidad de las cosechas. Por lo cual la utilización de dichos productos puede minimizar la fertilización sintética, al mismo tiempo de incrementar la tolerancia al estrés biótico en el agroecosistema. Este estudio fue desarrollado con el propósito de valorar el impacto del quitosano, hongos micorrízicos y ácidos húmicos en el crecimiento de variedades de pimiento en condiciones protegidas. El método de prueba utilizado fue aleatorio en un factorial 2 × 4 con 3 réplicas, donde el primer factor fueron las variedades (Magaly y Lycal), y el segundo los bioestimulantes: ácidos húmicos (1:30v/v), quitosano (3 g L-1 de agua) y hongos micorrízicos (20 g de esporas ml-1), y un testigo (control) por cada variedad (sin aplicación de bioactivos). Los resultados demostraron que los tres bioactivos estudiados incrementaron entre 11.66 y 16.67% la germinación de las semillas, mientras que la emergencia fue potenciada por los ácidos húmicos y quitosano. Por su parte los ácidos húmicos produjeron plantas de mayor altura a los 25 y 45 días después de la siembra (ddt), y tallos de mayor diámetro. Esto a su vez incrementó la biomasa fresca y seca de las plántulas (339.38 y 106.72 g), de la misma manera influyeron en el incremento de frutos por planta (15.33 frutos), longitud, diámetro y peso (12.22 cm, 43.33 mm y 92.22 g). Se generaron valores mayores en el rendimiento de la variedad Magaly con 29.16 Mg ha-1. La variedad Magaly superó significativamente a la variedad Lycal en cuanto a germinación (96.67%), emergencia (95%), altura de plantas y diámetro del tallo (25 y 45 ddt).

The present research work was carried out with the aim of contributing to the study of the pharmacognostic characteristics and the quantification of total anthocyanins of the fruit Prunus serotina subsp. capuli (Cav.) McVaugh (Rosaceae) "capuli". The fruits were collected at Campana Village, north of Cajabamba, Cajamarca Region, and were identified in the Herbarium Truxillense (HUT) of the National University of Trujillo with register No. 58336. The pharmacognostic characteristics were got according to the method of Miranda M. & Cuellar A., obtaining organoleptic characteristics such as sui generis odor, reddish black epicarp color, green mesocarp color, sweet- sour flavor and smooth texture; the macromorphological characteristics, weight 1.6937 ± 0.2910 g, length 0.904 ± 0.075 cm and width 1.067 ± 0.121 cm in dimensions, fresh condition, ovoid shape and smooth surface, comply with quality parameters; physicochemical characteristics such as relative humidity 21.7153 ± 0.3585 %, residual humidity 6.4527 ± 0.2323 %, total humidity 28.1680 %, total ashes 1.3914 ± 0.006 %, water soluble ashes 0.6977 ± 0.1443 %, ashes insoluble in hydrochloric acid 0.3927 ± 0.2337 %, substances soluble in ethanol of 96° G.L. 17.4454 ± 0.2640 %, substances soluble in ethanol of 70° G.L. 16.8035 ± 0.7730, substances soluble in ethanol of 50° G.L. 16.0179 ± 0.3120, and water soluble substances 5.7206 ± 0.6862, were within the permissible range according to the pharmacopoeias; in the determination of heavy metals, we obtained concentrations of arsenic 0.1657 ± 0.015 ppm, mercury 0.0438 ± 0.005 ppm, lead 0.0032 ± 0.001 ppm and copper 0.0355 ± 0.002 ppm; in the phytochemical screening, we identified the presence of reducing sugars, phenols, amino acids and flavonoids as anthocyanidins. Likewise, the content of anthocyanins in the fruit was quantified obtaining a concentration of 10.7117 mg of cyanidin 3-glucoside/g.

El presente trabajo de investigación se realizó con el objetivo de contribuir al estudio de las características farmacognósticas y la cuantificación de antocianinas totales del fruto dePrunus serotina subsp. capuli (Cav.) McVaugh (Rosaceae) "capulí". Los frutos se recolectaron en el caserío Campana, al norte de Cajabamba, región de Cajamarca, identificados en el Herbarium Truxillense (HUT) de la Universidad Nacional de Trujillo con el registro n ° 58336. Las características farmacognósticas se realizaron según el método de Miranda M. & Cuéllar A., obteniendo características organolépticas como olor sui géneris, color del epicarpio negro rojizo, color del mesocarpio verde, sabor dulce agrio y textura suave y lisa; las características macromorfológicas, peso 1,6937 ± 0,2910 g, largo 0,904 ± 0,075 cm y ancho 1,067 ± 0,121 cm de dimensiones, condición fresca, forma ovoide y superficie lisa, cumplen con los parámetros de calidad; las características fisicoquímicas como la humedad relativa 21,7153 ± 0,3585 %, humedad residual 6,4527 ± 0,2323 %, humedad total 28,1680 %, cenizas totales 1,3914 ± 0,2006 %, cenizas solubles en agua 0,6977 ± 0,1443 %, cenizas insolubles en ácido clorhídrico 0,3927 ± 0,2337 %, sustancias solubles en etanol de 96º G. L. 17,4454 ± 0,2640 %, sustancias solubles en etanol de 70º G. L. 16,8035 ± 0,7730, sustancias solubles en etanol de 50º G. L. 16,0179 ± 0,3120, y sustancias solubles en agua 5,7206 ± 0,6862, se encontraron dentro del rango permisible según las farmacopeas; en la determinación de metales pesados se obtuvieron concentraciones de arsénico 0,1647 ± 0,015 ppm, mercurio 0,0438 ± 0,005 ppm, plomo 0,0032 ± 0,001 ppm y cobre 0,0355 ± 0,002 ppm; en el tamizaje fitoquímico se identificó presencia de azucares reductores, fenoles, aminoácidos y flavonoides como antocianidinas. Así mismo, se cuantificó el contenido de antocianinas en el fruto obteniéndose una concentración de 10,7117 mg de cianidina 3-glucósido/g.

The objective of the study was to determine the content of total phenols and the antioxidant capacity of the juice of "pur pur" Passiflora tripartita var. mollissima (Passifloraceae). The total phenols were obtained by extraction under reflux with ethanol of 50° GL, the quantification was performed by the Folin Cicalteau method and the in vitro antioxidant capacity was determined by the DPPH method by UV-visible spectrophotometry. The results reported a content of total phenols of 17.23 ± 0.07 g tannic ac./100 g dry extract and the antioxidant capacity with an IC50 value is 10.53 ug/uL in DPPH assay of fruit juice of "pur pur" Passiflora tripartita var mollissima (Passifloraceae).

El estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar el contenido de fenoles totales y la capacidad antioxidante del zumo de "pur pur" Passiflora tripartita var. mollissima (Passifloraceae). Los fenoles totales se obtuvieron por extracción en reflujo con etanol de 50° GL, la cuantificación se realizó por el método de Folin Cicalteau y la capacidad antioxidante in vitro se determinó por el método de DPPH mediante espectrofotometría UV-visible. Los resultados reportaron un contenido de fenoles totales de 17,23 ± 0,07 g ac. tánico/100 g extracto seco y la capacidad antioxidante con un valor de IC50 es 10,53 ug/uL en ensayo DPPH del zumo del fruto de "pur pur" Passiflora tripartita var. mollissima (Passifloraceae).

ABSTRACT Objective. To identify and determine the phytoconstituent structure of Tessaria integrifolia Ruiz & Pav. leaves with leishmanicidal activity. Materials and Methods. Fluid extract of leaves was prepared, concentrated to soft extract, and used to evaluate leishmanicidal activity in Mesocricetus auratus with experimental leishmaniasis, at the dose of 250 mg/kg of soft extract by intramuscular route for 15 days. Extract was fractionated in 45 cm column chromatography with a 2.5 cm diameter, containing G-60 silica gel, and 70-230 mesh (Sigma-Aldrich®). Nine fractions were obtained and assessed on macrophages infected with Leishmania sp to determine the active fraction and isolate the active compound, by separation, purification, and crystallization, analyzed by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) of 1H, 13C, and liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectroscopy (LC/ MS). Results. Fluid extract from the leaves of T. integrifolia presents leishmanicidal activity in M. auratus. Fraction F8 is active on infected macrophages at a dose of 14 μg/mL. An eudesman type sesquiterpene ((4aS, 5R, 6R, 8aR) -6-hydroxy-5, 8a-dimethyl-3- (1-methylethylidene) octahydronaphthalen-2 (1H) -one) was identified, by RMN 1 H, 13C, and LC / MS analysis. Conclusions. Fluid extract of leaves of Tessaria integrifolia Ruiz & Pav. presents leishmanicidal activity on Mesocricetus auratus with experimental leishmaniasis. RESUMEN Objetivos. Identificar y determinar la estructura del fitoconstituyente de hojas de Tessaria integrifolia Ruiz & Pav con efecto leishmanicida. Materiales y métodos. Se preparó un extracto fluido de hojas de Tessaria integrifolia Ruiz & Pav. que fue concentrado a extracto blando y se utilizó para evaluar la actividad leishmanicida en Mesocricetus auratus con leishmaniasis experimental, administrando vía intramuscular la dosis de 250 mg/kg del extracto blando por 15 días. El extracto fue fraccionado en columna cromatográfica de 45 cm, con un diámetro de 2,5 cm que contiene silicagel G-60, de 70-230 mesh (Sigma-Aldrich®), las nueve fracciones obtenidas fueron evaluadas sobre macrófagos infectados con Leishmania sp para determinar la fracción activa y aislar el compuesto activo, mediante separación, purificación y cristalización, siendo analizado por resonancia magnética nuclear (RMN) de 1H, 13C, y cromatografía líquida acoplada a espectroscopía de masas (LC/MS). Resultados. El extracto fluido de las hojas de Tessaria integrifolia Ruiz & Pav. presenta actividad leishmanicida en Mesocricetus auratus y la fracción F8 es activa sobre macrófagos infectados a dosis de 14 µg/mL. Se elucidó en esa fracción un sesquiterpeno tipo eudesmano ((4aS, 5R,6R,8aR)-6-hidroxi-5,8a-dimetil-3-(1-metiletiliden) octahidronaftalen-2(1H)-ona), según análisis de RMN 1H, 13C, y LC/MS. Conclusiones. El extracto fluido de hojas de Tessaria integrifolia Ruiz & Pav. presenta actividad leishmanicida sobre Mesocricetus auratus.
