Abstract This paper presents the influence of different sizes of carbonyl iron particles on the reflectivity measurements of Radar Absorbing Material (RAM). The electromagnetic characterization was performed with a vector network analyzer and a rectangular waveguide in the frequency range of 12.4 to 18GHz (Ku Band). The influence of different parameters such as thicknesses, particle sizes and concentration of carbonyl iron were evaluated. Reflectivity results showed the influence of these parameters on the performance of the RAM. The best reflectivity values (~ −18 dB) were obtained for samples with 60 wt% concentration and 5 mm thickness. We provide information about significantly reflection loss improvement by simply controlling carbonyl iron particulate size.

Este estudo apresenta resultados com materiais absorvedores de radiação eletromagnética, MARE, à base de poli(o-metoxianilina) (POMA) e de seus compósitos com negro de fumo (NF) (NF/POMA). A condutividade elétrica dos compósitos NF/POMA foi significativamente maior (0,23-80 S.cm-1) que para a POMA (0,017 S.cm-1). Medidas de atenuação da radiação eletromagnética de formulações com esses aditivos poliméricos em resina epóxi foram realizadas na faixa de 8,2 a 12,4 GHz. Resultados de refletividade mostram que as composições com o compósito condutivo NF-10%/POMA apresentam os melhores valores de atenuação da radiação eletromagnética (até 99,5% em 11,7 GHz).

This study deals with the production of radar absorbing materials (RAM) based on poly(o-methoxyaniline) (POMA) and its conductive composites with carbon black (CB) (CB/POMA). The electrical conductivity of the CB/POMA composite was significantly higher (0.23-80 S.cm-1) than for POMA (0.017 S.cm-1). The attenuation of the electromagnetic radiation in the range between 8 and 12 GHz was highest for CB/POMA-conductive composites in epoxy resin, reaching up to 99.5% at 11.7 GHz.

Abstract: This paper presents the processing and characterization of electromagnetic radiation absorbing paints and sheets based on magnetic and dielectric materials dispersed in polymeric matrices. Two different paint formulations containing carbonyl iron and/or polyaniline, using polyurethane as matrix, were prepared. Silicone sheets were also produced with polyaniline conducting polymer as filler. Measurements of the electric permittivity and magnetic permeability of the materials were also carried out. Simulations for the silicone sheets were performed in order to correlate the electromagnetic parameters with the material thickness. The paints absorbed 60 to 80% of the incident electromagnetic radiation and the silicone sheets absorbed 90%, indicating the material's radar absorbing potential.

A matriz termoplástica semicristalina PEKK (poli (éter-cetona-cetona)) tem recebido nos últimos anos uma atenção crescente pelas indústrias aeronáutica e espacial, no processamento de compósitos poliméricos avançados. As características de elevados valores de temperatura de transição vítrea, de resistência mecânica e de módulo de elasticidade, baixa absorção de umidade, excelente resistência a variações de condições climáticas, combinadas a uma relativa baixa massa específica faz do PEKK uma atrativa opção para uma variedade de aplicações, principalmente na área aeronáutica. O objetivo deste trabalho é correlacionar parâmetros térmicos e reológicos do PEKK, por meio das técnicas de calorimetria exploratória diferencial (DSC), termogravimetria (TG) e reológica, no estabelecimento de um ciclo térmico de processamento, a ser utilizado na obtenção de laminados de PEKK com fibras de carbono, pela técnica de moldagem por compressão a quente de compósitos termoplásticos. Os resultados obtidos mostram que o PEKK apresenta um excelente balanço de propriedades, tais como elevada temperatura de transição vítrea (153-156 °C) e moderadas temperaturas de processamento, localizadas entre suas temperaturas de fusão (310-325 °C) e de degradação (352-366 °C), principalmente quando comparado com as matrizes atualmente mais utilizadas no setor aeronáutico: o PEEK (poli (éter-éter-cetona)); o PEI (poli (éter-imida)) e o PPS(poli(sulfona). A partir dos resultados térmicos e reológicos obtidos estabeleceu-se um ciclo térmico a ser utilizado no processamento de laminados PEKK/fibras de carbono pelo uso da moldagem por compressão a quente.

Semi-crystalline PEKK thermoplastic matrix used in advanced polymeric composites have received a lot of interest for aerospace application in the last years. The higher glass transition temperature, high strength and stiffness, low moisture absorption, excellent environmental resistance combined with its low density make PEKK an attractive option for a variety of applications in aerospace and aeronautical field. The aim of the present work is to analyze the influence of the thermal and rheological parameters of PEKK using the techniques Fourier Transform InfraRed (FT-IR), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetry (TG) and rheology, in the definition of processing thermal cycle to be utilized with the hot compression molding of thermoplastic composites. The results obtained from the thermal and rheological analyses showed that PEKK has an attractive balance of properties, such as a high transition temperature (Tg = 153-156 °C) and of being able to be processed at a moderate temperature, between the melting (310-325 °C) and degradation (352-366 °C) temperatures, mainly when compared with other polymers, including PEEK (polyether ether ketone), PEI (Polyetherimide) and PPS (polyphenylene sulfide). From these results, it was possible to establish appropriate thermal and rheological parameters to be used in hot compression molding of advanced polymeric laminates.

Fiber-metal laminates (FML) composed of alternating layers of unidirectional fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) laminae and aluminum-alloy sheets offer some superior mechanical properties, compared with either conventional laminates consisting of only FRP laminae or high-strength monolithic aluminum alloys. The environmental factors can limit the applications of composites by deteriorating the mechanical properties during service. Usually, polymeric matrix absorbs moisture when exposed to humid environments and metals are prone to surface corrosion. On the other hand, FML laminates presents more resistance of moisture when compared with their constituents. Evaluation of shear properties is particularly important in the design of mechanically fastened parts and components, which are subject to parallel and opposing loads. In this work, the shear behavior was studied for Glare laminates and its constituents in dry and wet conditions.

Peças em compósito termoplástico PPS/Carbono foram conformadas com o processo de moldagem por compressão a quente utilizando três diferentes ciclos térmicos, que foram avaliados pela análise comparativa do material antes e após o processo de conformação. As caracterizações dos laminados, antes e após a conformação, envolveram inspeção visual, análises por microscopia óptica avaliando a presença de vazios ou delaminações, determinação de cristalinidade pela técnica de DSC e avaliação das propriedades mecânicas em flexão. A análise dos resultados obtidos permite verificar que as peças conformadas não apresentam delaminações e vazios. Porém, no caso em que foi utilizado o molde mais frio (100 °C) verifica-se um decréscimo nas propriedades mecânicas de até 25% e uma diferença significativa do grau de cristalinidade medido na face da peça (13%) para o cerne da mesma (21%). Dado este não observado nas outras condições de processamento avaliadas (moldes a 170 e 210 °C), as quais apresentam graus de cristalinidade nas faces e no centro em torno de 20%.

Thermoplastic composite parts were produced by the hot press compression molding process with three different thermal cycles, which were evaluated employing the material comparative analysis, before and after the manufacturing of parts. The properties of laminates and parts were evaluated by visual inspection, presence of voids or delamination by using optical microscopy, degree of crystallinity (DoC) utilizing DSC technique and mechanical properties making use of the flexural test. The results showed no delamination or voids. However, when the coldest mold was used (100 °C), the mechanical properties decreased up to 25% and a significant difference of DoC was observed from the part surfaces in contact with the mold (13%) to its centre (21%). This did not occur with the other processing conditions (molds at 170 and 210 °C), which exhibited DoCs around 20%.

No presente trabalho duas técnicas de manufatura de compósitos termoplásticos estruturais são investigadas: a de moldagem por compressão a quente convencional e a de pré-impregnação via suspensão polimérica. A primeira consiste na impregnação do reforço via polímero fundido; enquanto que a segunda faz uso de suspensões poliméricas aquosas, onde a impregnação do reforço ocorre pelo contato deste com a suspensão aquosa de partículas da matriz polimérica. Esta técnica combina a matriz polimérica em pó com um outro polímero formador da suspensão, um poli(ácido âmico - PAA), sendo que os dois polímeros são simultaneamente depositados sobre o reforço, durante a impregnação. Este mesmo PAA, em uma segunda fase do processo, é convertido termicamente em uma poliimida (PI) podendo formar uma região de interfase entre o reforço e a matriz polimérica. Este trabalho tem como objetivo a síntese e a caracterização de um PAA, à base de BTDA/DDS, e a avaliação de sua influência na formação da região de interfase em compósitos de poli(sulfeto de fenileno) (PPS)/fibras de carbono. Resultados de DSC e TG mostram o sucesso da síntese do PAA e de sua conversão em PI, esta com estabilidade térmica até 396 °C. O compósito processado pela técnica de suspensão polimérica apresenta resistência ao cisalhamento interlaminar (56,3 MPa) 12,6% superior ao compósito obtido por moldagem por compressão a quente convencional (50,0 MPa). Estes resultados são confirmados por análises das superfícies de fratura, que mostram que o uso do PAA melhora a interfase do PPS/fibra de carbono.

In the present work two different manufacturing techniques of thermoplastic composites are investigated: the conventional hot compression molding and the aqueous suspension prepregging. The first one involves the impregnation of the reinforcement with molten polymer; while the second one uses aqueous polymeric suspensions, where the reinforcement impregnation occurs by its contact with the particle aqueous suspension of a polymeric matrix. This technique combines the powder polymeric matrix with another polymer which forms the suspension, a poly(amic acid - PAA). In this technique, both polymers are deposited simultaneously on the reinforcement during the impregnation. In a second phase of the processing, the PAA is thermally converted in a polyimide (PI) that can form an interphase region between the reinforcement and the polymer matrix. The objective of this study is the synthesis and the characterization of a PAA, based on BTDA/DDS, and the evaluation of its influence on the interphase region in the poly(phenilene sulphite) (PPS)/carbon fiber composite. DSC and TG results show the success of the PAA synthesis and its conversion into PI, which exhibits thermal stability up to 396 °C. The processed composite by polymeric aqueous suspension showed interlaminar shear strength (56.3 MPa) 12.6% higher than the composite obtained by conventional hot compression molding (50.0 MPa). Fracture surface analyses confirm these results, showing that the use of PAA improves the PPS/carbon fiber interphase.

Poly(phenylene sulfide) (PPS) is an engineering thermoplastic polymer that presents high temperature resistance (glass transition temperature around 85 ºC and melting point at 285 ºC). These properties combined with its mechanical properties and its high chemical resistance allows its use in technological applications such as molding resins and as matrix for structural thermoplastic composites. During the manufacture of thermoplastic composites, the polymer is exposed to repeated melting, quenching and crystallization processes. The properties of semicrystalline polymers, such as PPS, depend on its crystallization behavior. This work deals with the PPS crystallization kinetics under different thermal cycles. This study was performed under isothermal conditions in a differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), coupled to Perkin Elmer crystallization software referred to as Pyris Kinetics - Crystallization. The results were correlated with microscopic analyses carried out in a polarized light microscope, equipped with a controlled heating and cooling accessory. In this case, the experimental conditions were the same adopted for the DSC analyses. From the results, parameters could be established to be used in the composite manufacture.

Este trabalho mostra a avaliação da temperatura de transição vítrea (Tg), por DMTA, de três famílias de compósitos poliméricos reparados, tendo como laminados base tecidos de fibras de carbono/resina epóxi modificada com elastômero (F584), vidro/resina epóxi (F161) e aramida/resina epóxi (F161). Os compósitos foram laminados manualmente por processo convencional e curados em autoclave de indústria aeronáutica. Posteriormente, danos foram simulados sendo, em seguida, reparados adotando-se a técnica de sobreposição de camadas de pré-impregnados de resina epóxi (F155), com adição de filme adesivo de epóxi (FM 73). As curvas DMTA mostram os efeitos da combinação de diferentes sistemas de resinas na Tg e, conseqüentemente, na temperatura de serviço do componente reparado. O material de reparo utilizado, baseado em pré-impregnados com resina epóxi F155 e filme adesivo de epóxi, provocou a redução da Tg dos compósitos reparados. Para os laminados base com tecido de fibras de carbono e vidro foram verificadas reduções de aproximadamente 30 °C na Tg. Este efeito foi mais pronunciado (redução de aproximadamente 40 °C) quando o laminado reparado de aramida foi submetido a condicionamento higrotérmico a temperatura e umidade elevadas. Esta redução na Tg dos laminados reparados é atribuída à migração do adesivo para o pré-impregnado de resina epóxi F155 utilizado no reparo, durante o processo de cura, e à plasticização do sistema polimérico pela água, durante o condicionamento higrotérmico. A redução da Tg leva a uma conseqüente redução da temperatura de serviço do compósito polimérico reparado.

This work shows the evaluation of the glass transition temperature (Tg) by DMTA of three different families of repaired polymeric composites, manufactured with carbon fiber fabric/epoxy F584, glass fabric/epoxy F161 and aramide fabric/epoxy F161, respectively. The composites were laminated by conventional hand lay-up process used in aeronautical industry. Afterwards, simulated damages, scarf type, were made and overlapping layers of F155 epoxy resin prepregs repaired them. The DMTA curves show the effects of combination of different systems resins on the Tg values and, consequently, on the service temperature of the repaired laminate. The used repairing material (based on epoxy resin F155 and on epoxy adhesive film FM73) decreased the Tg of the repaired laminates in approximately 30 °C for the carbon and glass laminates. The conditioning of aramide laminate under elevated humidity and temperature provoked a more decrease of the Tg (reduction of approximately 40 °C). The Tg reduction for the repaired laminates is attributed to the adhesive film migration into the F155 resin system during the cure process and also to the resin plasticization by water diffusion during the hygrothermal conditioning. The Tg reduction leads to a decrease of the service temperature of the repaired polymeric composite.

Este trabalho foi direcionado para a análise dos efeitos higrotérmicos na resistência à tração de compósitos poliméricos termorrígidos. Foram investigados os efeitos da umidade e da temperatura sobre as resistências à tração longitudinal e à tração transversal de compósitos ([0/0]s) de fita de carbono unidirecional impregnada com resina epóxi 8552. Os ensaios de resistência à tração longitudinal, realizados à temperatura ambiente, mostraram que as amostras não perderam sua resistência quando condicionadas. Porém, os compósitos apresentaram uma redução na sua resistência quando submetidos à câmara de climatização (80 °C e 90% de umidade) e ensaiados à temperatura elevada. Já nos ensaios de tração transversal foi observado que as amostras submetidas à câmara de névoa salina e ensaiadas à temperatura ambiente apresentaram uma pequena redução na sua resistência, porém as amostras submetidas à câmara de climatização mostraram uma redução acentuada na resistência As amostras ensaiadas à temperatura elevada e submetidas à câmara de névoa salina apresentaram uma pequena diminuição na sua resistência (11%). Já uma acentuada diminuição da resistência à tração transversal (51%) foi observada quando as amostras de compósitos poliméricos foram submetidas à câmara de climatização e ensaiadas à temperatura elevada. Também foram obtidas fotomicrografias via microscopia eletrônica de varredura (MEV) das seções de fraturas das amostras ensaiadas em tração em todos os tipos de condicionamento estudados no presente trabalho. Todos estes fatos mostraram que a matriz polimérica é afetada nos ensaios à temperatura elevada.

This work focused the analysis of hygrothermal ageing effects on the tensile strength of thermoset laminated composites. Humidity and temperature effects on the longitudinal and transversal tensile strengths of carbon fiber/epoxy 8552 unidirectional laminates tape composites ([0/0]s) were investigated. The longitudinal tensile strength results at room temperature was not significantly affected by exposing the samples to either the humidity-controlled chamber or the salt spray chamber. However, the specimens submitted to the humidity-controlled chamber and tested at elevated temperature (80 °C and 90% RH) presented a decrease in the longitudinal tensile strength. A small decrease in the transversal tensile strength results was observed during room temperature tests in the samples submitted to salt spray chamber. A higher decrease in the transversal tensile strength was verified in the samples submitted to the humidity-chamber. Samples submitted to the salt spray chamber tested at elevated temperature showed a small decrease in the transversal tensile strength (11%). A drastic reduction in the strength (51%) was observed in the samples submitted to the humidity-chamber and tested at high temperature. A fractograph study by scanning electronic microscopy (SEM) was performed in every single sample involved in the tests. These results highlight that the elevated temperatures affect the polymeric matrix.

Os compósitos poliméricos podem ser produzidos via moldagem em autoclave, onde as condições de processamento podem ser otimizadas a partir do conhecimento físico-químico da matriz polimérica. A evolução da cinética da reação de cura ocorre simultaneamente com as modificações no comportamento reológico do sistema polimérico, sendo comum denominar o fenômeno de comportamento reo-cinético. O presente trabalho tem como objetivo conhecer os parâmetros de cura, cinéticos e reológicos, de três diferentes sistemas de pré-impregnados de resina epóxi (cura a 177 °C), conhecidos como F161, F584 e 8552, hoje usados na indústria aeronáutica brasileira. Este estudo foi realizado com o auxílio das técnicas de DSC e reologia, utilizando-se análises dinâmicas e isotérmicas. Com isso, foi possível estabelecer a ordem de reação e a cinética de cura dos sistemas estudados. Neste estudo, foram utilizados como modelos matemáticos o de ordem n e o autocatalítico com ordem total de aproximadamente 2. A temperatura de gel foi de ~100 °C, e o tempo de gel correspondente foi de 135 segundos. A partir do conhecimento da cinética de cura e dos parâmetros reológicos dos sistemas de pré-impregnados foi possível estabelecer um ciclo de cura destinado à consolidação das peças aeronáuticas via moldagem em autoclave.

Autoclave molding produces polymer composites, where the processing conditions can be optimized with physicochemical knowledge of the polymeric matrix. The cure reaction evolves simultaneously with changes in rheology, which is normally refered to as rheo-kinetic behavior. With the knowledge of the appropriate cure cycle one can identify the steps in which pressure should be applied and when to raise the temperature. This paper is aimed at investigating the cure, kinetics and rheological parameters of three prepreg epoxy systems, namely F161, F584 and 8552, which are currently used in the Brazilian aeronautic industry. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and rheological techniques have been used, both in the isothermal and dynamic modes. Kinetics data were obtained from dynamic and isothermal DSC, with rheological measurements being carried out during the cure. The mathematical models used were the nth order reaction model and the autocatalytic model with order of 2. The gel temperature was ~100 °C, and the corresponding gelification time was 135 s. With the determination of the kinetics for the cure and of the rheological parameters of the prepreg systems, a cure cycle should be established that led to high-performance composites using the autoclave molding.

O objetivo do presente trabalho é apresentar a síntese de um poli (ácido âmico) (PAA) a ser utilizado como formador de interfase no processamento de compósitos termoplásticos de alto desempenho. Os materiais compósitos termoplásticos constituídos de um reforço rígido e de uma matriz dúctil têm as suas propriedades mecânicas fortemente dependentes do mecanismo de transferência de carga fibra/matriz. Por esse motivo, a região da interface/interfase nos materiais compósitos possui um papel fundamental nas propriedades finais do material. O PAA surge como uma alternativa para melhorar a adesão fibra/matriz na região interfacial em compósitos de alto desempenho, constituídos de matrizes termoplásticas, reforçadas com fibras de carbono ou vidro. O PAA é utilizado na forma de sal, na preparação de suspensões poliméricas de matrizes termoplásticas. O PAA estudado neste trabalho foi sintetizado utilizando-se os reagentes BTDA e DHPr. Em seguida, o PAA foi convertido em PI por imidização em solução. Análises por FTIR mostram o sucesso da síntese do PAA e da sua conversão em PI. As técnicas de DSC e TGA determinaram as temperaturas de transição vítrea (~213 °C) e de decomposição (~310 °C), respectivamente. Estes resultados motivam a utilização do PAA/PI como formador de interfase na obtenção de compósitos termoplásticos com temperaturas de processamento abaixo de 310 °C.

This work is aimed at presenting the synthesis of a poly (amic acid) (PAA) to be used as interphase precursor in the manufacturing of high performance thermoplastic composites. Thermoplastic composites comprising a rigid reinforcement and a ductile matrix have their mechanical properties strongly dependent on the load transfer mechanism between the reinforcement and matrix. For this reason, the interface/interphase region plays a fundamental hole in the final properties of the composite materials. PAA appeared as an alternative to improve the fiber/matrix adhesion when it is transformed in polyimide (PI) favoring the link between the reinforcement and the thermoplastic matrix. This work shows the PAA synthesis from BTDA and DHPr reagents and its conversion into PI by imidization in a liquid medium. Mass spectrometry analysis confirmed the synthesis of PAA from the precursor reagents and the FTIR analysis evaluated the success of the conversion of PAA into PI. DSC and TGA analysis of the PI determined their glass transition (~213 °C) and decomposition (~310 °C) temperatures, respectively. These results motivate the use of PAA/PI as precursor of interphase to obtain thermoplastic composites with processing temperatures below 310 °C.

Com o contínuo crescimento de uso de compósitos poliméricos estruturais na produção industrial de peças aeronáuticas, torna-se imperativo desenvolver técnicas de reparos de danos aplicáveis aos diversos tipos de laminados. O procedimento normalmente utilizado para definir o reparo de compósitos laminados, envolve a simulação do dano em corpos-de-prova representativos dos componentes. Este trabalho apresenta a técnica de reparo estrutural, tipo chanfro, de laminados de carbono/epóxi de aplicação aeronáutica, pelo uso de tecido de carbono/epóxi. Os laminados de carbono/epóxi, sem e com reparos, foram submetidos ao condicionamento ambiental em duas condições diferentes (ambiente: 23 ± 5ºC e 50 ± 5 % de umidade relativa e úmida: 65 ± 5ºC e 95 ± 5 % de umidade relativa), e os reparos foram realizados com quatro diferentes sobreposições das camadas de tecido de carbono (9,0; 12,7; 15,0 e 20,0 mm). Todas as famílias de reparo foram submetidas ao carregamento em tração em temperaturas ambiente e elevada (82ºC). Os melhores resultados da propriedade mecânica dos laminados reparados foram obtidos com as sobreposições de 15,0 e 20,0 mm, recompondo a resistência em 80,7 e 84,0%, respectivamente, em relação ao laminado sem reparo. O condicionamento com umidade e temperatura elevadas diminuiu a resistência em tração em até 90% dos laminados reparados, favorecendo a falha por descolamento entre o laminado base e o reparo (falha no adesivo).

The continuous use of structural polymer composites in the aeronautical industry has required the development of repairing techniques of damages found in different types of laminates. The most usually adopted procedure to investigate the composite laminate repairing has been by repairing simulated damages in laminated composite specimens. This work shows the structural repair technique, scarf type, of a typical carbon/epoxy laminate used in the aeronautical industry, using carbon/epoxy fabric. The carbon/epoxy laminates, with and without repairs, were subjected to two hygrothermal conditioning (ambient: 23 ± 5ºC and 50 ± 5 % of relative humidity, and wet: 65 ± 5ºC and 95 ± 5 % of relative humidity). The repairs were made by using four different overlaps of the carbon fabric plies (9.0; 12.7; 15.0 and 20.0 mm). All repaired families were subjected to tensile tests performed at room and elevated (82ºC) temperatures. The highest tensile strength values were obtained with the laminates repaired by the 15.0 and 20.0 mm overlap, recovering 80.7 and 84.0% of the strength respectively, in relation to the laminate without repair. The conditioning under elevated humidity and temperature decreased the tensile strength up to 90 % of the repaired laminates, favoring the adhesive failure by debonding between the base laminate and the repair.

Parâmetros cinéticos e reológicos relacionados com o ciclo de cura de um sistema de pré-impregnado de resina epóxi (F584)/fibra de carbono (prepreg) foram determinados pelo uso de análises térmicas (DSC e DMA) e reológicas. Os parâmetros determinados foram utilizados para avaliar o ciclo de cura hoje utilizado industrialmente no processamento de compósitos poliméricos pelo uso do prepreg em estudo.Baseando-se nos resultados das análises térmicas realizadas foi constatado para o sistema estudado que a cinética de cura é de ordem n = 1,3 e que a razão de aquecimento mais apropriada na obtenção de compósito polimérico é de 2,5 °C/min, pois esta razão de aquecimento proporciona um ciclo de cura a temperaturas mais baixas, quando comparada às demais razões estudadas, 5 e 10°C/min, favorecendo uma cura mais homogênea e melhor controlada.

The kinetic and rheological parameters related to the cure cycle of an epoxy resin (F584)/carbon fiber pre-impregnated (prepreg) system were determined by thermal and rheological analysis. The results were used to evaluate the cure cycle nowadays used in the composite processing industry, with the same prepreg system. Based on thermal analyses results it was verified that the curing of the epoxy resin follows a polymerization kinetic of n = 1,3 order and that the heating rate more adequate for the composite processing is equal to 2,5 °C/min. This heating rate favors a cure cycle at lower temperatures, when compared to the other heating rates studied, 5 e 10 °C/min, allowing a more homogeneous and better controlled cure reactions.
