ABSTRACT: Skin grafting is a simple and very useful surgical technique for wound repair, especially where there is difficulty in performing direct synthesis or other reconstructive techniques. low-intensity laser (LIL) has already been used successfully in cases where the graft was applied to wounds shortly after its creation. However, LIL still lacks standardization due to conflicting studies on its results. Thus, this study compared the effectiveness of continuous wave LIL with pulsed wave LIL in stimulating the healing of skin grafts, applied to newly created wounds in rabbits. For this purpose, 31 rabbits were distributed into: control group (CG, n = 10), continuous wave laser group (GLC; n = 10) and pulsed wave laser group (GLP; n = 11). Postoperative management was similar between all groups, with the exception of laser application, as indicated by the group. The GLC and GLP groups showed similar evolution, with a satisfactory healing process of the graft, unlike the GC group. These results were maintained in the microscopic evaluation, as the groups treated with laser showed less inflammation, better integration with the receptor area, greater re-epithelialization and collagenization. There was no difference in vascular density between the treatment groups on immunohistochemical analysis. The newly created wound was not able to provide nutrition for the skin graft in rabbits, but LIL is an efficient adjuvant therapy in stimulating healing between the recipient area and the graft, promoting full integration. However; although, statistically there was no difference in the form of light emission, pulsed or continuous, patients who received continuous wave LIL showed superior microscopic evolution.

RESUMO: A enxertia cutânea é uma técnica cirúrgica simples e bastante útil para o reparo de feridas, principalmente, quando há dificuldade em realizar a síntese direta ou outras técnicas reconstrutivas. O laser de baixa intensidade (LBI) já foi utilizado com sucesso em casos em que o enxerto foi aplicado em feridas logo após a sua criação. No entanto, a LBI ainda carece de padronizações, mediante estudos conflitantes sobre seus resultados. Desta forma, este trabalho objetivou comparar a eficácia da LBI de onda contínua com onda pulsada na estimulação da cicatrização de enxertos cutâneos, aplicados em feridas recém-criadas em coelhos. Para tanto, foram utilizados 31 coelhos distribuídos em: grupo controle (GC, n = 10), grupo laser onda contínua (GLC; n = 10) e grupo laser onda pulsada (GLP; n = 11). O manejo pós operatório foi semelhante entre todos os grupos, com exceção da aplicação do laser, conforme o grupo indicado. Os grupos GLC e GLP apresentaram evolução semelhante, com processo cicatricial satisfatório do enxerto, ao contrário do grupo GC. Tais resultados se mantiveram na avaliação microscópica, pois os grupos tratados com laser apresentaram menor inflamação, melhor integração à área receptora, maior reepitelização e colagenização. Não houve diferença na densidade vascular entre os grupos de tratamento na análise imuno-histoquímica. A ferida recém-criada não é capaz de fornecer nutrição para o enxerto cutâneo nos coelhos, mas a LBI é uma terapia adjuvante eficiente em estimular a cicatrização entre a área receptora e o enxerto, promovendo integração total. Entretanto, embora não houve diferença estatística na forma de emissão de luz, pulsada ou contínua, os pacientes que receberam LBI em onda contínua apresentam evolução microscópica superior.

RESUMO OBJETIVO Estimar a prevalência de gestação não planejada (GNP) em oito hospitais públicos universitários, distribuídos nas cinco regiões que compõem o Brasil. MÉTODOS Análise secundária de um estudo transversal multicêntrico nacional, realizado em oito hospitais universitários públicos, entre 1º de junho e 31 de agosto de 2020, no Brasil. Amostra por conveniência incluindo mulheres que deram à luz em período de sessenta dias consecutivos e atenderam aos seguintes critérios: maiores de 18 anos; idade gestacional acima de 36 semanas no parto; com recém-nascido único e vivo, sem malformações. RESULTADOS Amostra composta por 1.120 puérperas, das quais 756 (67,5%) declararam que a gravidez não tinha sido programada. A mediana da prevalência de GNP foi de 59,7%. Observou-se diferença significativa na prevalência de GNP entre os hospitais: Campinas (54,8%), Porto Alegre (58,2%), Florianópolis (59%), Teresina (61,2%), Brasília (64,3%), São Paulo (64,6%), Campo Grande (73,9%) e Manaus (95,3%) (p < 0,001). Foram fatores significativamente associados a GNP a idade materna, cor negra, menor renda familiar, maior número de filhos, maior número de pessoas convivendo em casa e não ter parceiro. CONCLUSÃO Na amostra estudada, cerca de dois terços das gestações foram declaradas como não programadas. A prevalência de gestação não planejada teve relação com fatores sociais e demográficos e variou significativamente entre os hospitais universitários avaliados.

ABSTRACT OBJECTIVE To estimate the prevalence of unplanned pregnancy in eight public university hospitals, distributed in the five regions that make up Brazil. METHODS A secondary analysis of a national multicenter cross-sectional study, carried out in eight public university hospitals between June 1 and August 31, 2020, in Brazil. Convenience sample including women who gave birth within sixty consecutive days and met the following criteria: over 18 years old; gestational age over 36 weeks at delivery; with a single and live newborn, without malformations. RESULTS Sample composed of 1,120 postpartum women, of whom 756 (67.5%) declared that the pregnancy had not been planned. The median prevalence of unplanned pregnancy was 59.7%. The prevalence of unplanned pregnancy across hospitals differed significantly: Campinas (54.8%), Porto Alegre (58.2%), Florianópolis (59%), Teresina (61.2%), Brasília (64.3%), São Paulo (64.6%), Campo Grande (73.9%) and Manaus (95.3%) (p < 0.001). Factors significantly associated with unplanned pregnancy were maternal age, black color, lower family income, greater number of children, greater number of people living in household, and not having a partner. CONCLUSION In the studied sample, about two thirds of the pregnancies were declared as unplanned. The prevalence of unplanned pregnancies was related to social and demographic factors and varied significantly across the university hospitals evaluated.

Abstract Introduction Women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) have a higher prevalence of Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) than the general population. PCOS and NAFLD have common metabolic risk factors, however, the role of diet in NAFLD development is still uncertain in PCOS women. Objective To evaluate and compare the dietary patterns and nutritional intake in patients with PCOS with and without NAFLD. Method Cross-sectional study that included patients with PCOS diagnosed according to Rotterdam criteria. All participants were submitted to abdominal ultrasound to investigate liver steatosis. Dietary profile was assessed by 24-hour food recall (24hR), and Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ). Diet quality was assessed by the Healthy Eating Index (HEI) adapted for the Brazilian population. Physical activity practice was also assessed. Results 87 participants were included (average age 35.2 ± 5.7 years), among whom, 67 (77%) had NAFLD. The group with PCOS and NAFLD presented higher body mass index (BMI) (34.9 ± 4.5 vs. 30.4 ± 4.9 kg/m2; p = 0.001), Waist Circumference (WC) (103 [97‒113] vs. 95 [87.5‒100] cm; p < 0.001) and were considered physically active less frequently than those without NAFLD (34.3% vs. 60%; p = 0.04). Food intake and dietary patterns assessed by 24hR, FFQ and HEI presented no difference between the groups. Conclusions PCOS women with coexistent NAFLD had higher BMI, WC and were less physically active than those without NAFLD. Dietary evaluation showed that PCOS women with NAFLD had no significant difference in macro and micronutrients or food group intake and diet quality in comparison to those without NAFLD.

ABSTRACT This paper presents a broad overview of main contributions related to the FITradeoff (Flexible and Interactive Tradeoff) method. FITradeoff is a multicriteria method developed within the scope of the Multiattribute Value Theory (MAVT), considering partial information from the decision maker (DM) in the preference modelling process. Over the last few years, several methodological developments on this method have been published in the literature, as well as practical applications to a wide range of multicriteria decision problems. The most recent methodological advances are related to preference modelling process, which now integrate the two paradigms of elicitation by decomposition and holistic evaluation. Furthermore, contributions from behavioral studies, some of them including decision neuroscience, have enhanced the DSS free available for FITradeoff. In this paper, all previously developed works related to the FITradeoff method are approached, considering both methodological developments and practical applications. A summary on the different modeling approaches for solving different decision problematics (choice, ranking, sorting and portfolio) with FITradeoff is presented. The recently proposed combination of preference modeling paradigms - elicitation by decomposition and holistic evaluation - within the FITradeoff decision process is explained, as well its potential advantages for the elicitation process. Moreover, a brief review on the practical applications of the method in different contexts is presented. In addition, this work also brings a summary on the results of behavioral experiments conducted using neuroscience tools with the FITradeoff method, as well the methodological insights resulted from them, and future perspectives of potential research topics related to the FITradeoff method.

Abstract Introduction Interdisciplinary investigative study of the stomatognathic-cervical complex, necessary to understand the structure and biomechanics of this system in Angle Class I and II / 2nd Division participants. Objective To evaluate alignment and position of cranial cervical structures on radiographs and their functional relationship with the stomatognathic system. Material and method Trans Oral and Profile radiographs were submitted to biomechanical analysis, considered the linear and angular measurement of Atlas and Axis through the application included in the radiogram software. Result We observed a significant difference in the angular measurements of vertical alignment between the Skull, Axis, and the Mandible (p = <0.001), and in the left joint between the Atlas and the Axis (AE: p = 0.011; SEA: p = 0.042). Among the linear measures of the distances between the Atlas and the Axis, the AOD distance presented statistics quite close to the level of significance (p = 0.0502), but above. There was no statistically significant difference in the other measures. Conclusion In this study, the alignment between the Atlas and Axis cervical vertebrae and the mandible and angles of the atlanto-occipital joints are altered in Class II / 2nd Division participants. There is no difference in the size and distance of the Atlas and the Axis between the Classes.

Resumo Introdução Estudo interdisciplinar investigativo do complexo cérvico-estomatognático, necessário para compreender a estrutura e a biomecânica desse sistema em participantes Classe I e II/2ª Divisão de Angle. Objetivo Avaliar o alinhamento e a posição das estruturas crânio cervicais nas radiografias de participantes Classe I e II/2ª Divisão de Angle e sua relação funcional com o sistema estomatognático. Material e método As imagens digitais Trans Oral e Perfil de participantes com maloclusão Classe I e II/2ª Divisão de Angle foram submetidas à medição linear e angular do crânio, mandíbula, Atlas e do Áxis através do software Advantage Workstation 4.6 (AW4.6 ext. 04). Resultado Houve diferença significativa nas medidas angulares de alinhamento vertical entre o Crânio, Áxis e a Mandíbula (p = <0,001), e da articulação esquerda entre o Atlas e o Áxis (AE: p = 0,011; AAE: p = 0,042). Das medidas lineares das distâncias entre o Atlas e o Áxis, a distância AOD apresentou estatística bastante próxima do nível de significância (p=0,0502), porém acima. Não houve diferença significativamente estatística nas demais medidas avaliadas. Conclusão Neste estudo, o alinhamento entre as vértebras cervicais Atlas e Áxis e a mandíbula e os ângulos das articulações atlanto occipitais se mostraram alterados nos participantes Classe II/2ª Divisão de Angle. Não há diferença significativa no tamanho e distância do Atlas e do Áxis entre as Classes.

ABSTRACT Objective: To analyze and compare COVID-19 patient characteristics, clinical management and outcomes between the peak and plateau periods of the first pandemic wave in Portugal. Methods: This was a multicentric ambispective cohort study including consecutive severe COVID-19 patients between March and August 2020 from 16 Portuguese intensive care units. The peak and plateau periods, respectively, weeks 10 - 16 and 17 - 34, were defined. Results: Five hundred forty-one adult patients with a median age of 65 [57 - 74] years, mostly male (71.2%), were included. There were no significant differences in median age (p = 0.3), Simplified Acute Physiology Score II (40 versus 39; p = 0.8), partial arterial oxygen pressure/fraction of inspired oxygen ratio (139 versus 136; p = 0.6), antibiotic therapy (57% versus 64%; p = 0.2) at admission, or 28-day mortality (24.4% versus 22.8%; p = 0.7) between the peak and plateau periods. During the peak period, patients had fewer comorbidities (1 [0 - 3] versus 2 [0 - 5]; p = 0.002) and presented a higher use of vasopressors (47% versus 36%; p < 0.001) and invasive mechanical ventilation (58.1 versus 49.2%; p < 0.001) at admission, prone positioning (45% versus 36%; p = 0.04), and hydroxychloroquine (59% versus 10%; p < 0.001) and lopinavir/ritonavir (41% versus 10%; p < 0.001) prescriptions. However, a greater use of high-flow nasal cannulas (5% versus 16%, p < 0.001) on admission, remdesivir (0.3% versus 15%; p < 0.001) and corticosteroid (29% versus 52%, p < 0.001) therapy, and a shorter ICU length of stay (12 days versus 8, p < 0.001) were observed during the plateau. Conclusion: There were significant changes in patient comorbidities, intensive care unit therapies and length of stay between the peak and plateau periods of the first COVID-19 wave.

RESUMO Objetivo: Analisar e comparar as características de pacientes críticos com a COVID-19, a abordagem clínica e os resultados entre os períodos de pico e de platô na primeira onda pandêmica em Portugal. Métodos: Este foi um estudo de coorte multicêntrico ambispectivo, que incluiu pacientes consecutivos com a forma grave da COVID-19 entre março e agosto de 2020 de 16 unidades de terapia intensiva portuguesas. Definiram-se as semanas 10 - 16 e 17 - 34 como os períodos de pico e platô. Resultados: Incluíram-se 541 pacientes adultos com mediana de idade de 65 [57 - 74] anos, a maioria do sexo masculino (71,2%). Não houve diferenças significativas na mediana de idade (p = 0,3), no Simplified Acute Physiology Score II (40 versus 39; p = 0,8), na pressão parcial de oxigênio/fração inspirada de oxigênio (139 versus 136; p = 0,6), na terapia com antibióticos na admissão (57% versus 64%; p = 0,2) ou na mortalidade aos 28 dias (24,4% versus 22,8%; p = 0,7) entre o período de pico e platô. Durante o período de pico, os pacientes tiveram menos comorbidades (1 [0 - 3] versus 2 [0 - 5]; p = 0,002); fizeram mais uso de vasopressores (47% versus 36%; p < 0,001) e ventilação mecânica invasiva na admissão (58,1% versus 49,2%; p < 0,001), e tiveram mais prescrição de hidroxicloroquina (59% versus 10%; p < 0,001), lopinavir/ritonavir (41% versus 10%; p < 0,001) e posição prona (45% versus 36%; p = 0,04). Entretanto, durante o platô, observou-se maior uso de cânulas nasais de alto fluxo (5% versus 16%; p < 0,001) na admissão, remdesivir (0,3% versus 15%; p < 0,001) e corticosteroides (29% versus 52%; p < 0,001), além de menor tempo de internação na unidade de terapia intensiva (12 versus 8 dias; p < 0,001). Conclusão: Houve mudanças significativas nas comorbidades dos pacientes, nos tratamentos da unidade de terapia intensiva e no tempo de internação entre os períodos de pico e platô na primeira onda da COVID-19.

Resumo O tratamento da doença de Parkinson (DP) constitui um desafio, especialmente por ser considerado muito individualizado. A Academia Brasileira de Neurologia (ABN) identificou a necessidade de disseminar o conhecimento sobre o manejo do tratamento da DP, adaptando as melhores evidências à realidade brasileira. Assim, foi realizada uma revisão sobre as principais orientações de tratamento publicadas, baseada nas recomendações elaboradas por um grupo de especialistas em transtornos do movimento do departamento científico da ABN.

ABSTRACT The treatment of Parkinson's disease (PD) is challenging, especially since it is considered highly individualized. The Brazilian Academy of Neurology has recognized the need to disseminate knowledge about the management of PD treatment, adapting the best evidence to the Brazilian reality. Thus, the main published treatment guidelines were reviewed based on the recommendations of group from the Movement Disorders Scientific Department of the Brazilian Academy of Neurology.

Abstract Objective: To provide guidelines on the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination in patients with immune-mediated rheumatic diseases (IMRD) to rheumatologists considering specific scenarios of the daily practice based on the shared-making decision (SMD) process. Methods: A task force was constituted by 24 rheumatologists (panel members), with clinical and research expertise in immunizations and infectious diseases in immunocompromised patients, endorsed by the Brazilian Society of Rheumatology (BSR), to develop guidelines for COVID-19 vaccination in patients with IMRD. A consensus was built through the Delphi method and involved four rounds of anonymous voting, where five options were used to determine the level of agreement (LOA), based on the Likert Scale: (1) strongly disagree; (2) disagree, (3) neither agree nor disagree (neutral); (4) agree; and (5) strongly agree. Nineteen questions were addressed and discussed via teleconference to formulate the answers. In order to identify the relevant data on COVID-19 vaccines, a search with standardized descriptors and synonyms was performed on September 10th, 2021, of the MEDLINE, EMBASE, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, ClinicalTrials.gov, and LILACS to identify studies of interest. We used the Newcastle–Ottawa Scale to assess the quality of nonrandomized studies. Results: All the nineteen questions-answers (Q&A) were approved by the BSR Task Force with more than 80% of panelists voting options 4—agree—and 5—strongly agree—, and a consensus was reached. These Guidelines were focused in SMD on the most appropriate timing for IMRD patients to get vaccinated to reach the adequate covid-19 vaccination response. Conclusion: These guidelines were developed by a BSR Task Force with a high LOA among panelists, based on the literature review of published studies and expert opinion for COVID-19 vaccination in IMRD patients. Noteworthy, in the pandemic period, up to the time of the review and the consensus process for this document, high-quality evidence was scarce. Thus, it is not a substitute for clinical judgment.

RESUMO Objetivo Verificar a aplicabilidade do teste de percepção de fala com figuras em crianças com síndrome de Down. Método Estudo observacional, descritivo e prospectivo, realizado em dois centros fonoaudiológicos, aprovado pelos Comitês de Ética em Pesquisa sob número 82522217.5.0000.5440 e 79510317.8.0000.5257. Participaram 41 crianças com síndrome de Down, de ambos os sexos, com idade entre dois anos e dez anos e 11 meses, as quais foram divididas em três grupos: GI (dois a quatro anos e 11 meses); GII (cinco a sete anos e 11 meses) e GIII (oito a dez anos e 11 meses). Foram realizados os procedimentos de anamnese, meatoscopia, audiometria tonal liminar, teste de limiar de recepção de fala com figuras e imitanciometria. Para a análise estatística, Teste Exato de Fisher com nível de significância de 5%. Resultados Ao ser analisado o número de acertos e erros, em relação à idade cronológica, foi encontrada significância para sete palavras: gelo, faca, vaca, chave, rato, cão e sol. Foi analisado, posteriormente, o desempenho no teste de fala com figuras, dos participantes desse estudo e o desempenho dos participantes do estudo que elaborou e validou este teste. Foi observado que, quando se equiparou a porcentagem de acertos nos dois grupos, as palavras com maior ocorrência de acertos foram: mão, casa e sapo. Conclusão: O teste aplicado nesse estudo proporciona a interpretação do resultado de forma clara e objetiva e independe da produção verbal da criança.

ABSTRACT Purpose To verify the applicability of the picture-based speech perception test in children with Down syndrome. Methods Observational, descriptive, prospective study, carried out at two speech therapy centers, approved by their Research Ethics Committees under numbers 82522217.5.0000.5440 and 79510317.8.0000.5257. A total of 41 children with Down syndrome, of both sexes, aged 2 years to 10 years and 11 months participated. They were divided into three groups: GI (2 years to 4 years and 11 months); GII (5 years to 7 years and 11 months); GIII (8 years to 10 years and 11 months). We verified their medical history and carried out meatoscopy, pure-tone threshold audiometry, speech recognition threshold test with pictures, and immittance tests. For statistical analysis, we used Fisher's Exact Test with the 5% significance level. Results: The analysis of hits and misses in relation to chronological age revealed significance in seven words: “ice”, “knife”, “cow”, “key”, “mouse”, “dog”, and “sun”. We then analyzed this study participants’ performance in the speech test with pictures and those in the study that developed and validated this test. Comparing the percentage of correct answers in the two groups, we found that the words with the most correct answers were “hand”, “house”, and “frog”. Conclusion: The test applied in this study provides a clear and objective interpretation of the results, regardless of the child's verbal production.

Resumo Objetivo Analisar as variáveis sociodemográficas e de trabalho quanto ao risco de transtorno mental comum em profissionais de enfermagem que atuam em serviços de atenção às urgências e emergências. Métodos Estudo observacional, transversal com abordagem quantitativa, realizado no Pronto Socorro Adulto e nas Unidades de Terapia Intensiva Adulto e Coronariana de um hospital público de ensino e em duas Unidades de Pronto Atendimento públicos, do interior de Minas Gerais, Brasil. A coleta de dados ocorreu por meio de dois instrumentos: questionário sociodemográfico e profissional e o Self-Reporting Questionnaire. Para as análises foi realizada a estatística descritiva, Qui-quadrado de Pearson, exato de Fisher e regressão logística binomial. Resultados Participaram 302 profissionais de enfermagem. Observou-se prevalência de 20,5% para transtornos mentais comuns. Na análise bivariada, as variáveis relacionadas aos transtornos mentais comuns foram: não ter filhos (p=0,025), trabalhar nos setores da atenção terciária (p=0,008), regime de contrato estatutário (p=0,041). Na análise multivariada, os setores hospitalares (p=0,001) e o cargo de enfermeiro (p=0,017) indicaram risco elevado para transtornos mentais comuns. Conclusão As variáveis setor e cargo se comportaram como risco e apresentaram razão de chance de prevalência de 4,21 e 2,80, respectivamente, indicando que as condições de trabalho nos ambientes de urgência e emergência associadas ao cargo de enfermeiro favorecem o desenvolvimento de transtornos mentais comuns nos profissionais de enfermagem. Este estudo possibilitou conhecer a necessidade de implantação de estratégias para identificação precoce de transtornos mentais comuns e a promoção da saúde mental dos profissionais, visando a melhoria dos aspectos psicossociais nos ambientes de trabalho.

Abstract Objective To analyze sociodemographic and work variables regarding the risk for common mental disorders in nursing professionals working in urgent and emergency care services. Methods Observational, cross-sectional, quantitative study conducted in the Adult Emergency Room and Adult and Coronary Intensive Care Units of a public teaching hospital and in two public Emergency Care Units in the countryside of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Data collection was performed with use of two instruments: sociodemographic and professional questionnaire and the Self-Reporting Questionnaire. Descriptive statistics, Pearson’s Chi-square, Fisher’s exact and binomial logistic regression were performed in the analyzes. Results Participation of 302 nursing professionals. There was a prevalence of 20.5% for common mental disorders. In the bivariate analysis, the variables related to common mental disorders were: not having children (p=0.025), working in tertiary care departments (p=0.008), statutory contract regime (p=0.041). In the multivariate analysis, the hospital departments (p=0.001) and the nurse position (p=0.017) indicated a high risk for common mental disorders. Conclusion The variables of department and position behaved as risk and had a prevalence odds ratio of 4.21 and 2.80, respectively, indicating that the working conditions in urgent and emergency environments associated with the nurse position favor the development of common mental disorders in nursing professionals. Through this study, it was possible to understand the need to implement strategies for the early identification of common mental disorders and the promotion of mental health among professionals, aiming at improving psychosocial aspects in work environments.

Resumen Objetivo Analizar las variables sociodemográficas y de trabajo respecto al riesgo de trastornos mentales comunes en profesionales de enfermería que actúan en servicios de atención de urgencias y emergencias. Métodos Estudio observacional, transversal, con enfoque cuantitativo, realizado en el Servicio de Urgencias Adulto y en las Unidades de Cuidados Intensivos Adulto y Coronaria de un hospital público universitario y en dos Unidades de Pronta Atención públicas del interior de Minas Gerais, Brasil. La recopilación de datos se realizó mediante dos instrumentos: cuestionario sociodemográfico y profesional y el Self-Reporting Questionnaire. Para los análisis, se utilizó la estadística descriptiva, ji cuadrado de Pearson, exacta de Fisher y regresión logística binomial. Resultados Participaron 302 profesionales de enfermería. Se observó prevalencia del 20,5 % de trastornos mentales comunes. En el análisis bivariado, las variables relacionadas con los trastornos mentales comunes fueron: no tener hijos (p=0,025), trabajar en sectores de atención terciaria (p=0,008) y el régimen de contrato estatutario (p=0,041) En el análisis multivariado, los sectores hospitalarios (p=0,001) y el cargo de enfermero (p=0,017) indicaron riesgo elevado de trastornos mentales comunes. Conclusión Las variables sector y cargo se comportan como riesgo y presentaron razón de momios de prevalencia de 4,21 y 2,80, respectivamente, lo que indica que las condiciones de trabajo en los ambientes de urgencias y emergencias asociadas al cargo de enfermero favorecen el desarrollo de trastornos mentales comunes en los profesionales de enfermería. Este estudio permitió conocer la necesidad de implementar estrategias para la identificación temprana de trastornos mentales comunes y la promoción de la salud mental de los profesionales, con el objetivo de mejorar los aspectos psicosociales en el ambiente de trabajo.

Abstract Background: Patients using immunosuppressive drugs may have unfavorable results after infections. However, there is a lack of information regarding COVID 19 in these patients, especially in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Therefore, the aim of this study was to evaluate the risk factors associated with COVID 19 hospitalizations in patients with RA. Methods: This multicenter, prospective cohort study is within the ReumaCoV Brazil registry and included 489 patients with RA. In this context, 269 patients who tested positive for COVID 19 were compared to 220 patients who tested negative for COVID 19 (control group). All patient data were collected from the Research Electronic Data Capture database. Results: The participants were predominantly female (90.6%) with a mean age of 53 ±12 years. Of the patients with COVID 19, 54 (20.1%) required hospitalization. After multiple adjustments, the final regression model showed that heart disease (OR =4.61, 95% CI 1.06–20.02. P < 0.001) and current use of glucocorticoids (OR =20.66, 95% CI 3.09–138. P < 0.002) were the risk factors associated with hospitalization. In addition, anosmia was associated with a lower chance of hospitalization (OR =0.26; 95% CI 0.10–0.67, P < 0.005). Conclusion: Our results demonstrated that heart disease and the use of glucocorticoids were associated with a higher number of hospital admissions for COVID 19 in patients with RA. Abstract Sjogren’s Syndrome (SS) is an autoimmune disease characterized by lymphocytic infiltration of the exocrine glands and other organs, associated with sicca syndrome but also with systemic involvement with varying degrees of severity. Despite their importance, these systemic manifestations are not routinely evaluated and there is no homogenous approach to their diagnosis or evaluation. To close this gap, a panel of experts from the Brazilian Society of Rheumatology conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis on the identification of epidemiologic and clinical features of these manifestations and made recommendations based on the findings. Agreement between the experts was achieved using the Delphi method. The first part of this guideline summarizes the most important topics, and 11 recommendations are provided for the articular, pulmonary, and renal care of SS patients.

Resumo Introdução Estudo interdisciplinar investigativo do complexo estomatognático-cervical, necessário para compreender a estrutura e a biomecânica do osso hioide e coluna cervical em participantes Classe I e II/2ª Divisão de Angle. Objetivo Analisar a posição do osso hioide e da curvatura da coluna cervical nas radiografias em perfil de participantes com má oclusão Classes I e II/2ª Divisão de Angle. Material e método A posição do osso hioide foi avaliada a partir de seu alinhamento com a vértebra cervical correspondente. A apresentação da curvatura da coluna cervical foi determinada a partir da proximidade com a quarta vértebra cervical. Resultado Houve diferença estatística significativa na posição do osso hioide (p=0,027) entre as classes, que ficou situado em C3 na Classe I e mais abaixo, entre C3 e C5, na Classe II/2ª Divisão. A coluna cervical apresentou alterações em ambas as classes sem diferença estatística entre as mesmas (p=0,533), com aumento, retificação e inversão da curvatura. Conclusão Neste estudo, o osso hioide apresentou posições distintas nas más oclusões estudadas, no entanto, a má postura da coluna cervical foi comum em ambas as classes.

Abstract Introduction Interdisciplinary investigative study of the stomatognathic-cervical complex, necessary to understand the structure and biomechanics of the hyoid bone and cervical spine in Class I and II / 2nd Division participants. Objective To analyze the position of the hyoid bone and the curvature of the cervical spine on lateral radiographs of participants with Class I and II/2nd Division Angle malocclusion. Material and method We evaluated the position of the hyoid bone from its alignment with the corresponding cervical vertebra. The presentation of curvature of the cervical spine was evaluated from the fourth cervical vertebra. Result There was a statistically significant difference in the position of the hyoid bone (p=0.027) between the classes, which was located at C3 in Class I and further down, between C3 and C5, in Class II/2nd Division. The cervical spine showed alterations in both classes, with an increase, rectification, and inversion of the curvature with no statistical difference between them (p=0.533). Conclusion In this study, the hyoid bone showed different positions in the malocclusions studied, however, poor posture of the cervical spine was common in both classes.

RESUMO Objetivo identificar a produção científica brasileira acerca do ensino da consulta de enfermagem na formação do enfermeiro. Método estudo descritivo de natureza bibliométrica, realizado no portal da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde e na PubMed, de abril a maio de 2021, tendo como critérios de inclusão: artigos completos, em português ou inglês, publicados de 2009 a 2020. Resultados identificaram-se 13 estudos, sendo quatro publicados em um periódico B2 da região do Nordeste, contudo, oriundos predominantemente da Região Sul (38,46%), destacando-se os do tipo relato de experiência. As temáticas mais observadas relacionavam-se às metodologias de ensino, sobretudo, as ativas e com uso de ferramentas tecnológicas. A consulta de enfermagem não foi revelada como uma das palavras-chave mais frequentes. Conclusão ao constatar a incipiência da produção relativa à temática, este estudo fornece subsídios para ampliação desta área do conhecimento, reverberando em melhorias no ensino da consulta de enfermagem e na formação do enfermeiro.

ABSTRACT Objective to identify the Brazilian scientific production about Nursing consultation teaching in nurses’ training. Method a descriptive study of a bibliometric nature conducted in the portal of Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde and in PubMed from April to May 2021, with the following inclusion criteria: full articles, in Portuguese or English, published from 2009 to 2020. Results a total of 13 studies were identified, of which four were published in a B2 journal from the Northeast region, although with predominance of papers from the South region (38.46%), with the experience report type standing out. The most frequently observed themes were related to the teaching methodologies, especially the active ones with use of technological tools. “Nursing consultation” was not found to be one of the most frequent keywords. Conclusion by verifying the incipience of the production on the theme, this study provides subsidies for expanding this knowledge area, reverberating in improvements in Nursing consultation teaching and in nurses’ training.

Método estudio descriptivo de carácter bibliométrico realizado en el portal de la Biblioteca Virtual en Salud y en PubMed de abril a mayo de 2021, con los siguientes criterios de inclusión: artículos completos, en portugués o inglés y publicados entre 2009 y 2020. Resultados se identificaron 13 estudios, publicados en una revista académica B2 de la región Noreste, aunque predominantemente provenientes de la región Sur (38,46%), destacándose los del tipo informe de experiencia. Las temáticas más observadas estuvieron relacionadas con las metodologías de enseñanza, especialmente las activas y con utilización de herramientas tecnológicas. “Consulta de Enfermería” no figuró entre las palabras clave más frecuentes. Conclusión al constatar el carácter incipiente de la producción sobre la temática, este estudio proporciona puntos de apoyo para ampliar esta área del conocimiento, con repercusiones en mejoras en la enseñanza de la Consulta de Enfermería y en la formación de enfermeros.
