ABSTRACT: Professional and Technological Education aims at professional qualification whose objective is to prepare and insert the students in the labor market and improve their professional performance. However, the role of school must be broader in order to guarantee the students integral formation. This article highlights the potential of the pedagogical practice of Professional Education in the sense of developing more than the technical contents that underlie within it, the knowledge and skills, the values and attitudes which are decisive factors of the future professional behavior. The investigation was carried out based on bibliographic research and documentary analysis and intends to demonstrate how the proposal of Integrating Projects (IP) can contribute to formation of competence, including the dimensions of knowledge, skills (knowing how to do) and attitudes (knowing how to be), being this last one, the most fragile, and the least commonly worked in comparison to the other dimensions. As the anchor curricular component of professional disciplines, the Integrator Project (IP) promotes interdisciplinary nature, corroborates with development of specific technical contents and provides opportunities to develop values and attitudes, thus fulfilling the role of school which is to guarantee students integral formation.

RESUMEN: En Brasil, la Educación Profesional y Tecnológica apunta a la calificación profesional cuyo objetivo es la formación para el trabajo, la inserción de los trabajadores en el mercado y la mejora de su desempeño profesional. Sin embargo, el papel de la escuela debe ser más amplio para garantizar la formación integral de los estudiantes. Este artículo destaca el potencial de la práctica pedagógica de la Educación Profesional, en el sentido de desarrollar más que el contenido técnico que subyace en los conocimientos y habilidades, los valores y actitudes que determinan el comportamiento del futuro profesional. La investigación realizada a partir de la pesquisa bibliográfica y el análisis documental tiene como objetivo demostrar cómo la propuesta de los Proyectos Integradores (PI) puede contribuir a la formación de competencias, incluyendo las dimensiones del conocimiento (saber), habilidades (saber hacer) y actitudes (saber ser), siendo este último, el más frágil; es decir, el menos trabajado entre las otras dimensiones. Como componente curricular ancla de las disciplinas profesionales, el Proyecto Integrador (PI) promueve la interdisciplinariedad, se corrobora con el desarrollo de contenidos técnicos específicos y brinda oportunidades para el desarrollo de valores y actitudes, cumpliendo así la función de la escuela, que es garantizar la formación integral de los estudiantes.

Este artigo destaca o potencial da prática pedagógica da Educação Profissional, no sentido de desenvolver mais que os conteúdos técnicos que fundamentam os conhecimentos e habilidades, os valores e atitudes determinantes no comportamento do futuro profissional. A investigação realizada a partir de pesquisa bibliográfica e análise documental pretende demonstrar como a proposta dos Projetos Integradores (PI) pode contribuir na formação da competência incluindo as dimensões do conhecimento (saber), habilidades (saber fazer) e atitudes (saber ser), sendo esta última, a mais frágil, ou seja, a menos comumente trabalhada dentre as demais dimensões. Como componente curricular âncora das disciplinas profissionalizantes, o Projeto Integrador (PI) promove a interdisciplinaridade, corrobora com desenvolvimento de conteúdos técnicos específicos, e proporciona oportunidade de desenvolvimento de valores e atitudes, atendendo, desta forma, a função da escola que é garantir a formação integral dos estudantes.

Abstract Background: Between 40,000-70,000 people die yearly of rabies, an incurable disease. Besides post-bite vaccination, no treatment is available for it. Methods: First, virus dilution for antiviral effects in mice was determined. Then, animals were treated as follows: control (NaCl 250 µL/animal/day); bufotenine (0.63, 1.05 and 2.1 mg in 250 µL of NaCl/animal/day); rabies (10-6,82CVS dilution); and test (10-6,82 CVS dilution and bufotenine, in the above-mentioned doses). Animals were observed daily for 21 days or until the 3rd stage of rabies infection. Twitch-tension and liposome studies were applied to understand the possible interaction of bufotenine with receptors, particularly acetylcholine. Results: Bufotenine was able to increase the survival rate of intracerebrally virus-infected mice from 15 to 40%. Bufotenine did not seem to interfere with the acetylcholine response in the skeletal muscle, indicating that its mechanism of action is not blocking the virus entrance due to nAChR antagonism. By analyzing liposomes, we could observe that bufotenine did not passively penetrates cell membranes, indicating the necessity of complementary structures to cell penetration. Conclusions: Bufotenine is a promising candidate for drug development. After further chemical modification, it might be possible to dissociate minor side effects, increase efficiency, efficacy and pharmacokinetics, yielding a true anti-rabies drug.

Abstract Background: Argenteohyla siemersi (red-spotted Argentina frog) is a casque-headed tree frog species belonging to the Hylidae family. This species has a complex combination of anti-predator defense mechanisms that include a highly lethal skin secretion. However, biochemical composition and biological effects of this secretion have not yet been studied. Methods: The A. siemersi skin secretion samples were analyzed by mass spectrometry and chromatographic analysis (MALDI-TOF/MS, RP-HPLC and GC-MS). Proteins were also studied by SDS-PAGE. Among the biological activities evaluated, several enzymatic activities (hemolytic, phospholipase A2, clotting, proteolytic and amidolytic) were assessed. Furthermore, the cytotoxic activity (cytolysis and fluorescence staining) was evaluated on myoblasts of the C2C12 cell line. Results: The MALDI-TOF/MS analysis identified polypeptides and proteins in the aqueous solution of A. siemersi skin secretion. SDS-PAGE revealed the presence of proteins with molecular masses from 15 to 55 kDa. Steroids, but no alkaloids or peptides (less than 5 KDa), were detected using mass spectrometry. Skin secretion revealed the presence of lipids in methanolic extract, as analyzed by CG-MS. This secretion showed hemolytic and phospholipase A2 activities, but was devoid of amidolytic, proteolytic or clotting activities. Moreover, dose-dependent cytotoxicity in cultured C2C12 myoblasts of the skin secretion was demonstrated. Morphological analysis, quantification of lactate dehydrogenase release and fluorescence staining indicated that the cell death triggered by this secretion involved necrosis. Conclusions: Results presented herein evidence the biochemical composition and biological effects of A. siemersi skin secretion and contribute to the knowledge on the defense mechanisms of casque-headed frogs.

Abstract Background and Aims: Environmental factors can interact with plant life history to determinate the reproductive strategies of adult plants and seedling recruitment. We expect that widely distributed tree species produce heavier seed and with greater variation in seed size than shrubs of restricted geographic distribution. We also predict that widely distributed tree species should be capable to germinate and develop under variable range of light conditions, while sun-adapted shrubs should germinate and develop better under high light intensity. We used as models two congeneric species of Fabaceae. Copaifera langsdorffii is a widely distributed arboreal species and C oblongifolia is a shrub with restricted distribution. Methods: Seeds were collected from two plant species in a Cerrado vegetation area, northern Minas Gerais, Brazil. The effects of light available on seed germination and seedling development was conducted in a germination chamber with controlled photoperiod, temperature and light intensity. Key results: The widely distributed tree (C. langsdorffii) had greater seed mass than the shrub (C. oblongifolia). Seeds of C. langsdorffii germinated faster under available high light, while the shrub C. oblongifolia seeds required less time to germinate under available low light and darkness. Under high light intensity, germination percentage of C. langsdorffii and C. oblongifolia seeds did not vary. However, seeds of the shrub showed a higher germination percentage under low light intensity and darkness. In general, seed mass showed a negative relationship with germination percentage, but this relationship varied in function of species and the availability of light. Copaifera langsdorffii seedlings had larger shoots and roots than C. oblongifolia. In contrast, the root:shoot ratio was higher in shrub than in tree species. Conclusions: Our results have important implications for understanding the patterns of distribution of two Copaifera species and explain the ability of C. oblongifolia to colonize disturbed areas.

Resumen Antecedentes y Objetivos: Los factores ambientales pueden interactuar con la historia de vida de las plantas determinando las estrategias reproductivas de individuos adultos y el reclutamiento de plántulas. Predecimos que las especies de árboles ampliamente distribuidas producen semillas más pesadas y con una mayor variación en el tamaño de las semillas que los arbustos de distribución geográfica restringida. Esperamos que las especies arbóreas ampliamente distribuidas deberían ser capaces de germinar y desarrollarse bajo un rango variable de condiciones de luz, mientras que los arbustos adaptados a condiciones de sol deberían germinar y desarrollarse mejor con una alta intensidad de luz. Usamos como modelo dos especies congenéricas de Fabaceae. Copaifera langsdorffii es una especie arbórea ampliamente distribuida y C. oblongifolia es un arbusto de distribución geográfica restringida. Métodos: Se colectaron semillas de estas especies de plantas en un área de vegetación de Cerrado, al norte del estado de Minas Gerais, Brasil. Los efectos de la disponibilidad de luz sobre la germinación de semillas y el desarrollo de plántulas se realizaron en una cámara de germinación con fotoperíodo controlado, temperatura e intensidad de luz. Resultados clave: El árbol de amplia distribución (C. langsdorffii) tuvo mayor masa de semillas que el arbusto (C. oblongifolia). Las semillas de C. langsdorffii germinaron más rápido bajo alta disponibilidad de luz, mientras que las semillas de C. oblongifolia requirieron menos tiempo para germinar bajo poca luz disponible y oscuridad. En alta intensidad de luz, las semillas de C. langsdorffii y de C. oblongifolia tuvieron similares porcentajes, mientras que las semillas de C. oblongifolia mostraron una mayor germinación en baja intensidad de luz y oscuridad. La masa de semillas mostró una relación negativa con el porcentaje de germinación, pero esta relación varió en función de las especies y de la disponibilidad de luz. Las plántulas de C. langsdorffii tuvieron mayor desarrollo de brotes y raíces que C. oblongifolia. En contraste, la relación raíz:brote fue mayor en arbustos que en árboles. Conclusiones: Nuestros resultados tienen implicaciones importantes para comprender los patrones de distribución de dos especies de Copaifera y poder explicar la capacidad de C. oblongifolia para colonizar áreas perturbadas.

Hyptis pectinata (L.) Poit is a folk medicinal species in Northeast Brazil. In this work, seedlings of H. pectinata were cultured in vitro under diverse light quality spectra and under the influence of two distinct chemical elicitors, salicylic acid and silver nitrate (SN), at concentrations of 30 and 60 μM. Growth parameters, biomass and rosmarinic acid (RA) content were evaluated. RA may be associated with the functional properties of this plant. In the light quality experiments, the highest level of rosmarinic acid was found under red light (161.65 ± 8.64 μg g-1 DW (dry weight)) at 20 days (4.26-fold higher than the control white light). Among the evaluated elicitors, elicitation with 60 μM SN at 3 days and 30 μM SN at 6 days favored the highest rosmarinic acid content (6361.70 ± 216.96 and 4542.98 ± 92.53 μg g-1 DW, respectively), with relatively high biomass yield and a similar number of leaves and height as those of control seedlings. This approach is new for H. pectinata.

The new triterpene friedelan-1,3,21-trione, the known compounds friedelan-3-one, 3β-friedelinol, 3,4-seco-friedelan-3-oic acid, 28-hydroxyfriedelan-3-one, friedelan-3-oxo-28-al, friedelan-3,21-dione, 30-hydroxyfriedelan-3-one, a mixture of 30-hydroxyfriedelan-3-one/21α-hydroxyfriedelan-3-one, 21β-hydroxyfriedelan-3-one, gutta-percha, squalene, and a mixture of palmitic/stearic/oleic acids were isolated from the hexane extracts of leaves and branches of T. micrantha. Their chemical structures were established by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), gas chromatography (GC), 1D/2D nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and comparison with the literature data. All compounds were described for T. micrantha and the genus Tontelea for the first time. The branch and leaf extracts displayed anti-Zika virus activity at the lowest tested concentration of 15.6 µg mL-1, mainly virucidal effect, and presented no cytotoxicity to Vero cells. Furthermore, the ethyl acetate and methanolic leaf extracts demonstrated the best activities at the concentration of 31.2 and 15.6 µg mL-1 at the viral adsorption and penetration stages, respectively. These results showed that these extracts may be promising candidates for the Zika virus treatment.

ABSTRACT The organic extracts from stems, roots and leaves of Tephrosia egregia Sandwith, Fabaceae, provided a new flavone, 5-hydroxy-8-(1",2"-epoxy-3"-hydroxy-3"-methylbutyl)-7-methoxyflavone (1), in addition to eleven known compounds: pongaflavone (2), praecansone B (3), 12a-hydroxyrotenone (4), praecansone A, 2',6'-dimethoxy-4',5'-(2",2"-dimethyl)-pyranochalcone, pongachalcone, maackiain, β-sistosterol and its glucoside, p-cumaric acid and cinnamic acid. The structures of all compounds were established on the basis of spectroscopic methods, mainly 1D and 2D NMR and HRESIMS, involving comparison with literature data. Cytotoxicity of compounds 1–4 was evaluated against AGP-01 (cancerous ascitic fluid), HCT-116 (colon adenocarcinoma), HL-60 (leukemia), PC-3 (prostate carcinoma), SF-295 (glioblastoma) and SKMEL 28 (melanoma) cell lines.

Vochysia divergens (Vochysiaceae) is considered an invasive species in the wetlands of the Brazilian Pantanal, which hinders the cultivation of agricultural species. In this study, we evaluated the chemical profile by HPLC-DAD (high-performance liquid chromatography-diode array detector) of leaves extracts from V. divergens seedlings inoculated with endophytic fungi isolated from V. divergens roots. These fungi were collected on dry (D) and wet (W) seasons in the Pantanal. The presence of tannin hexahydroxydiphenoyl (HHDP)-galloyl-glucose and flavone 3',5'-dimethoxy-luteolin were predominant in the seedlings inoculated with endophytic fungi W experiments at 100 and 80%, respectively. Likewise, flavone 3',5-dimethoxy-luteolin-7-O-β-glucoside showed a similar representation in the two evaluated periods, compared with 5-methoxy-luteolin, which was detected only in seedlings inoculated with W endophytic fungi. This approach is new to V. divergens, which has no scientific data on its in vitro elicitation, in the search for a better understanding of the ecological relationships of this species.

Abstract This study analyzed the presence of Biomphalaria in Melo creek basin, Minas Gerais state, and its relationship to irrigation canals. Seventeen of these canals were used to determine a limnological, morphological and hydrological characterization during an annual seasonal cycle. Biomphalaria samples were sent to René Rachou Research Center/FIOCRUZ for identification and parasitological examination. Six canals were identified as breeding areas for mollusks and in one of them it was registered the coexistence of B. tenagophila (first report to this basin) and B. glabrata species. Results indicated that the low flow rate and speed of water flow were the main characteristics that contributed to this specific growth of the mollusks in the area. These hydraulic characteristics were created due to anthropogenic action through the canalization of lotic areas in Melo creek, which allowed ideal ecological conditions to Biomphalaria outbreak. The results emphasize the need of adequate handling and constant monitoring of the hydrographic basin, subject to inadequate phytosanitary conditions, aiming to prevent the occurrence and propagation of schistosomiasis.

Resumo Neste estudo avaliou-se a presença de espécies de Biomphalaria na bacia do Ribeirão do Melo, municípios de Rio Espera e Capela Nova, sudeste do estado de Minas Gerais, e sua relação com os canais de irrigação presentes na região. Em 17 desses canais foi realizada uma caracterização limnológica, morfológica e hidrológica durante um ciclo sazonal anual. Espécimes de Biomphalaria foram coletados e encaminhados ao Centro de Pesquisas René Rachou/FIOCRUZ (Belo Horizonte, MG) para identificação e exame parasitológico. Dos 17 canais estudados, foram identificados seis como criadouros do caramujo, sendo que em um dos canais coexistiam as espécies B. tenagophila (primeiro registro para a bacia) e B. glabrata. Os resultados indicaram que a baixa vazão e a velocidade do fluxo foram os fatores que contribuíram para a ocorrência pontual dos caramujos na bacia. Estas características hidrológicas foram modificadas por ação antropogênica, através da canalização de trechos lóticos do ribeirão do Melo. Os resultados destacam a necessidade do manejo adequado e monitoramento constante da bacia hidrográfica, sujeita a condições sanitárias inadequadas, como forma de prevenção da ocorrência e propagação da esquistossomose.

Abstract Plants that have potential as alternative food source (floral nectar, pollen and plant tissues) to the boll weevil during the intercropping season were evaluated considering the prevalent conditions of Cerrado in the Central Brazil. Initially, we tested the nutritional adequacy for the survival of the insect of flower resource (pollen and nectar) provided by eight plant species (fennel, mexican sunflower, castor bean, okra, hibiscus, sorghum, pigeonpea and sunn hemp). Subsequently, we tested if the resources provided by the selected plants continued to be exploited by the boll weevil in the presence of cotton plant, its main food source average longevity of boll weevil adults was significantly longer when they were fed on hibiscus’ flowers (166.6 ± 74.4) and okra flowers (34.7 ± 28.9) than when they fed on flowers of other six species. Subsequently, the preference of the boll weevil in the use of resources was compared between okra or hibiscus and cotton plants, in dual choice experiments. Boll weevils preferred plants of the three species in the reproductive stages than those in vegetative stages. Although the cotton plant in the reproductive stage was the most preferred plant of all, boll weevils preferred flowering okra and hibiscus than cotton at the vegetative stage.

Resumo Plantas que podem ser uma fonte potencial de recursos alimentares (néctar floral, pólen e tecidos vegetais) para o bicudo do algodoeiro durante a entressafra foram avaliadas, considerando as condições ambientais prevalentes na região de Cerrado do Brasil Central. Primeiro, testamos a adequação nutricional dos recursos (pólen e néctar) fornecidos por oito espécies de plantas (erva-doce, margaridão, mamona, quiabo, hibisco, sorgo, feijão guandu e crotalária) como único recurso alimentar para a sobrevivência do inseto. Posteriormente, nós avaliamos se os recursos fornecidos pelas plantas selecionadas continuaram a serem explorados pelo bicudo na presença do algodoeiro, seu recurso alimentar principal. A longevidade média do bicudo do algodoeiro foi significativamente maior quando eles foram alimentados com flores de hibisco (166,6 ± 74,4) e quiabo (34,7 ± 28,9) do que quando alimentados com flores das outras seis espécies. Em seguida, a preferência do bicudo no uso de recursos foi comparada contrastando o quiabo e o hibisco com o algodão, em experimentos de dupla escolha. Os bicudos preferiram as plantas das três espécies na fase reprodutiva em relação àquelas em estádios vegetativos. Embora a preferência por plantas de algodão na fase reprodutiva tenha sido maior, os bicudos preferiram plantas em floração de quiabo e hibisco quando estas foram contrastadas com o algodão na fase vegetativa.

Several studies of the physiological responses of different organisms exposed to extremely low-frequency electromagnetic fields (ELF-EMF) have been described. In this work, we report the minimal effects of in situ exposure to ELF-EMF on the global protein expression of Chromobacterium violaceum using a gel-based proteomic approach. The protein expression profile was only slightly altered, with five differentially expressed proteins detected in the exposed cultures; two of these proteins (DNA-binding stress protein, Dps, and alcohol dehydrogenase) were identified by MS/MS. The enhanced expression of Dps possibly helped to prevent physical damage to DNA. Although small, the changes in protein expression observed here were probably beneficial in helping the bacteria to adapt to the stress generated by the electromagnetic field.

Objective. The objective of this study was to establish the thermographic profile of the lower limbs in elite young soccer players. Method. One hundred soccer players from the U-19 categories of a first division Brazilian football club (15.5 ± 1.37 years; 67.93 ± 9.62 kg; 177.49 ± 8.67 cm) participated in the study. Two thermograms allowed us to record maximum and average skin temperatures (T SK) in four body regions of interest (ROIs) of the lower limbs corresponding to the anterior and posterior view of the leg and thigh. The Wilcoxon test was used to compare bilateral T SK differences with a significance level of α < 0.05. Results. Average values of T SK in the anterior view were as follows: right thigh 30.2 ± 1.9°C, left thigh 30.2 ± 1.9°C, right leg 29.8 ± 1.8°C, and left leg 29.9 ± 1.8°C. In the posterior view, the values were as follows: right thigh 30.3 ± 1.8°C, left thigh 30.2 ± 1.8°C, right leg 29.6 ± 1.9°C, and left leg 29.4 ± 1.9°C. The statistical analysis did not show significant differences between sides in the selected ROIs for average or maximum temperatures. A histogram of T SK frequencies for each ROI allowed establishment of values for hyper-and hypothermia. Conclusion. The elite young soccer players analyzed showed contralateral thermal symmetry. The average T SK differences for paired ROIs were each < 0.2°C. Each ROI exhibited a specific thermal profile. The registered T SK indicated a normal thermal profile of the athletes.

Objetivo. El objetivo de este estudio es establecer el perfil termográfico de los miembros inferiores en jóvenes jugadores de fútbol de élite. Método. En el estudio participaron 100 jugadores de fútbol de categorías sub-19 de clubes de fútbol brasileños de primera división (15,5 ± 1,37 años; 67,93 ± 9,62 kg; 177,49 ± 8,67 cm). Mediante dos termogramas se obtuvieron las temperaturas máximas y medias de la piel (T SK) de cuatro regiones corporales de interés (RDI) correspondientes a la vista anterior y posterior de la pierna y del muslo. Se empleó el test de Wilcoxon para comparar las diferencias de la T SK bilateral, con un nivel de significación α < 0,05. Resultados. Los valores medios de la T SK en la vista anterior fueron los siguientes: muslo derecho 30,2 ± 1,9°C, muslo izquierdo 30,2 ± 1,9°C, pierna derecha 29,8 ± 1,8°C y pierna izquierda 29,9 ± 1,8°C. En la vista posterior, los valores fueron los siguientes: muslo derecho 30,3 ± 1,8°C; muslo izquierdo 30,2 ± 1,8°C; pierna derecha 29,6 ± 1,9°C y pierna izquierda 29,4 ± 1,9°C. El análisis estadístico no mostró diferencias significativas en las temperaturas medias o máximas tomadas en las RDI elegidas. Un histograma de las frecuencias de T SK para cada RDI permitió establecer valores para hiper e hipotermia. Conclusión. Los jóvenes jugadores de fútbol de élite analizados mostraron simetría térmica contralateral. La T SK media para pares de RDI era para cada uno < 0,2°C. Cada RDI mostró un perfil térmico específico. La T SK mostró un perfil térmico normal de los atletas.

This work was initially conducted to study the distribution of Cu, Fe, Mn and Zn in the protein fractions of wheat sample subjected to sequential extraction procedure. The highest metal concentrations were determined in the fraction extracted with Tris-HCl buffer containing 1% sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS). The fractions of wheat sample obtained after the extraction procedure were analyzed by one-dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (1D SDS-PAGE) and protein bands were treated to quantify Cu, Fe, Mn, and Zn by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry (GF AAS). Metals were associated to protein bands of specific molecular weight, determined using a standard protein. The protein fractions were also analyzed by matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF-MS) after a typical protein digestion protocol, identifying lipid transfer protein and grain softness, the latter being possibly associated to Mn.

Este trabalho foi conduzido para estudar a distribuição de Cu, Fe, Mn e Zn nas frações proteicas de amostras de trigo submetidas a um procedimento de extração sequencial. Maiores concentrações dos elementos foram determinadas na fração extraída com tampão Tris-HCl contendo 1% de dodecil sulfato de sódio (SDS). As frações da amostra de trigo obtidas após o procedimento de extração foram analisadas por eletroforese em gel de poliacrilamida unidimensional (1D SDS-PAGE) e as bandas de proteínas foram tratadas para quantificar os metais por espectrometria de absorção atômica em forno de grafite (GF AAS). Desta forma, foi possível associar os metais Cu, Fe, Mn e Zn às bandas proteicas de peso molecular específico. As frações proteicas da amostra de trigo foram analisadas por espectrometria de massas por tempo de vôo acoplada à ionização dessortiva de matriz por laser (MALDI-TOF-MS), após procedimento de digestão proteica, identificando-se as proteínas lipid transfer e grain softness, sendo esta última possivelmente associada ao metal manganês.

Two new flavonoids, 3,4,10-trihydroxy-9-methoxypterocarpan and 2',4'-dihydroxy-4-methoxy-b-hydroxychacanonol, were isolated from Platymiscium floribundum, in addition to the homopterocarpin, 2',4',4-trihydroxychalcone, 7,3',5'-trihydroxyflavanone, 7,3'-dihydroxy-8,5'-dimethoxyisoflavanone, 8-hydroxy-5,6,7,-trimethoxycoumarin, 6-hydroxy-7,8-dimethoxycoumarin, 6,7,8-trimethoxycoumarin, 6,7-dimethoxycoumarin, 8-hydroxy-6,7-dimethoxycoumarin, 3β-acetoxy-28-hydroxyolean-12-ene, 1,2,3-trimethoxy-5-allyl-benzene, 3,4-dimethoxycinnamaldehyde, and β-sitosterol and stigmasterol as a mixture. Structural characterization of all compounds was established on the basis of spectroscopic methods, particularly 1D and 2D nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and comparison with data from literature.

Dois novos flavonoides, 3,4,10-tri-hidróxi-9-metoxi-pterocarpano and 2',4'-di-hidróxi-4'-metoxi-β-hidroxichalcanonol, foram isolados a partir de Platymiscium floribundum, em adição a homopterocapina, 2',4',4-tri-hidroxichalcona, 7,3',5'-tri-hidroxiflavanona, 7,3'-di-hidróxi-8,5'-di-metoxiisoflavanona, 8-hidróxi-5,6,7-tri-metoxicumarina, 6-hidróxi-7,8-di-metoxicumarina, 6,7,8-tri-metoxicumarina, 6,7-di-metoxicumarina, 8-hidróxi-6,7-di-metoxicumarina, 3β-acetóxi-28-hidróxi-olean-12-eno, 1,2,3-tri-metoxi-5-alilbenzeno, 3,4-di-metoxicinamaldeído, e β-sitosterol e estigmasterol como mistura. A caracterização estrutural de todos os compostos foi estabelecida com base em métodos espectroscópicos, particularmente ressonância magnética nuclear (RMN) 1D e 2D e comparação com dados da literatura.
