ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to determine the behaviour of bacterial biocontrol agents (BBAs) selected to control disease in irrigated rice, in the presence of pesticides, and to study changes in the soil microbiota. We assessed the compatibility between these BBAs and pesticides using different doses of each compound, besides the impact of the BBAs on the quality and diversity of the soil microbiota under field conditions. For the microbial evaluations, rice seeds were treated with the same BBAs, in addition to the following combinations: DFs-C6 (DFs185 (Pseudomonas synxantha)/DFs306 (/unidentified)); DFs-C7 (DFs306/DFs416 (Bacillus sp.)) and DFs-C8 (DFs185/DFs306/DFs416). Saline solution was used for the control treatment. Soil samples were collected close to the roots to evaluate basal respiration, organic matter, carbon, and microbial biomass. EcoPlateTM microplates were used to determine the activity and diversity of the microbial metabolic profile. All the BBAs (DFs185, DFs223 (P. fluorescens), DFs306 and DFs416) were tolerant to the fungicides and herbicides regardless of the dose, whereas tolerance to the insecticides occurred only in the DFs416 isolate. Resistance, however, was only seen in the DFs185 (pyraclostrobin + epoxiconazole) and DFs223 (azoxystrobin) isolates. There were significant changes to the soil microbiota, especially with the DFsC06 treatment, which was the only treatment to increase the microbial biomass and quotient. Little or no difference was found in microbial metabolic activity or diversity. These results suggest the potential use of these bacterial treatments in integrated pest management, as they are resistant/tolerant to many pesticides used in rice cultivation, and some of them had a positive impact on the soil microbiota.

ABSTRACT Purpose: This study aimed to compare four depths of manual dissection for the preparation of Descemet stripping endothelial keratoplasty lamellae. Methods: Eye bank corneas were randomized into four groups according to dissection depths: Pachy-100 (incision depth = central corneal thickness-safety margin of 100 µm), Pachy-50 (safety margin of 50 µm), Pachy-0 (no safety margin), and Pachy+50 (incision depth = central corneal thickness + 50 µm). All endothelial lamellae were prepared using a standardized method of manual dissection (Pachy-DSEK). The central, paracentral (3.0-mm zone), and peripheral (6.0-mm zone) lamella thicknesses and incision depths were measured by optical coherence tomography. The 3.0-mm and 6.0-mm zone central-to-peripheral thickness ratios were calculated. Results: Endothelial perforation occurred only in the Pachy+50 group (n=3, 30%). Central lamella’s thickness in Pachy-100, Pachy-50, Pachy-0, and Pachy+50 groups measured 185 ± 42 µm, 122 ± 29 µm, 114 ± 29 µm, and 58 ± 31 µm, respectively (p<0.001). The overall 3.0- and 6.0-mm C/P ratios were 0.97 ± 0.06 and 0.92 ± 0.14, respectively. Preoperative donor characteristics were not correlated with most thickness outcomes. The planned incision depth correlated significantly with most lamella’s thickness parameters (p<0.001). The overall thickness of the lamella negatively correlated with the planned incision depth (p<0.001, r=-0.580). The best outcome was found in the Pachy-0 group, as 75% of the lamellae measured <130 µm and there was no endothelial perforation. Conclusions: By using a standardized method of dissection, most manually prepared lamellae presented a planar shape. Setting the incision depth to the central corneal thickness did not result in endothelial perforation and a high percentage of ultrathin lamellae was achieved.

RESUMO Objetivo: Comparar quatro profundidades de dissecção manual usadas no preparo de lamelas para transplante endotelial. Métodos: Córneas humanas de treinamento disponibilizadas foram randomizadas em quatro grupos: Pachy-100 (profundidade de incisão = espessura corneana central - margem de segurança de 100 µm), Pachy-50 (margem de segurança de 50 µm), Pachy-0 (sem margem de segurança) e Pachy+50 (profundidade de incisão = espessura corneana central + 50 µm). Todas as lamelas foram dissecadas através um método padronizado e já publicado (Pachy-DSEK). As espessuras das lamelas (centro, zona de 3,0mm e zona de 6,0mm) foram medidas com tomografia de coerência óptica. A razão de espessura centro-periferia foi calculada aos 3,0 e 6,0 mm de diâmetro. Resultados: Perfuração endotelial ocorreu apenas no grupo Pachy+50 (n=3, 30%). A espessura central da lamela nos grupos Pachy-100, Pachy-50, Pachy-0 e Pachy+50 foi de 185 ± 42 µm, 122 ± 29 µm, 114 ± 29 µm, e 58 ± 31 µm, respectivamente (p<0,001). As razões C/P aos 3,0 e 6,0 mm foram de 0,97 ± 0,06 e 0,92 ± 0,14, respectivamente. Os parâmetros de características do doador não se correlacionaram com os resultados de espessura de lamela. A profundidade planejada de incisão se correlacionou com a maioria dos parâmetros de espessura de lamela (p<0,001). A espessura de lamela se correlacionou negativamente com a profundidade planejada da incisão (p<0.001, r=-0,580). O melhor resultado foi observado no grupo Pachy-0, em que 75% das lamelas mediram abaixo de 130 µm e não houve perfuração endotelial. Conclusão: Através de um método padronizado de dissecção, a maioria das lamelas endoteliais apresentou uma configuração planar. O planejamento de profundidade de incisão igual à espessura corneana central resultou em alta porcentagem de lamelas ultrafinas sem ocorrência de perfuração.

Abstract Permanent Education in Health legitimized health education based on meaningful learning, experiences in daily work and collective problem solving, in addition to being based on the four-way approach, based on teaching, management, attention and social control. The COVID-19 pandemic has required new ways of doing health and education, especially in the prison system, where overcrowding is an impediment to social isolation. This study aimed to identify, through virtual conversation circles, the challenges encountered in daily work and discuss proposals for intervention with the actors of the prison system in the pandemic period, from the perspective of Permanent Education in Health. It was used a qualitative research approach with descriptive, interpretative and comprehensive analysis of the social phenomenon, through Minayo’s thematic analysis of content. From the thematic analysis of content, four categories emerged: challenges of health care in the prison system in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic; challenges for health management in prisons; dialogue between educational institutions and the prison system; and social control and family representation. The virtual conversation rounds provided in-depth discussions and collective constructions, proposing referrals based on the four-way approach of Permanent Education in Health.

Resumen La Educación Permanente en Salud legitimó la educación en salud basada en el aprendizaje significativo, en experiencias en el cotidiano de trabajo y en la resolución colectiva de problemas, además de basarse en el Cuadrilátero Enseñanza-Gestión-Atención-Control Social. La pandemia del Covid-19 requirió nuevas formas de hacer salud y educación, especialmente en el sistema penitenciario, donde el amontonamiento es un impedimento para el aislamiento social. Este estudio tuvo como objetivo identificar, a través de círculos de conversación virtuales, los desafíos encontrados en el trabajo diario y discutir propuestas de intervención con los actores del sistema penitenciario en el período pandémico, en la perspectiva de la Educación Permanente en Salud. Se utilizó un enfoque de investigación cualitativo con un análisis descriptivo, interpretativo y comprensivo del análisis del fenómeno social, a través del análisis de contenido temático de Minayo. Del análisis temático de contenido surgieron cuatro categorías: desafíos de la atención en salud en el sistema penitenciario en el contexto de la pandemia de la Covid-19; desafíos para la gestión de la salud en las cárceles; diálogo entre las instituciones educativas y el sistema penitenciario; y el control social y la representación familiar. Los círculos de conversación virtuales proporcionaron discusiones profundas y construcciones colectivas, proponiendo encaminamientos basados en el Quadrilátero de la Educación Permanente en Salud.

Resumo A Educação Permanente em Saúde legitimou a educação na saúde com base na aprendizagem significativa, em vivências no cotidiano de trabalho e na solução de problemas de forma coletiva, além de estar pautada no Quadrilátero Ensino-Gestão-Atenção-Controle Social. A pandemia da Covid-19 exigiu novas formas de fazer saúde e educação, principalmente no sistema prisional, onde a superlotação é um impeditivo ao isolamento social. Este estudo teve como objetivo identificar, por meio de rodas de conversa virtuais, os desafios encontrados no cotidiano de trabalho e discutir propostas de intervenção com os atores do sistema prisional no período pandêmico, na perspectiva da Educação Permanente em Saúde. Foi utilizada abordagem qualitativa de investigação com caráter descritivo, interpretativo e compreensivo de análise do fenômeno social, por meio da análise de conteúdo temático de Minayo. Da análise temática de conteúdo emergiram quatro categorias: desafios da assistência em saúde no sistema prisional no contexto da pandemia da Covid-19; desafios para a gestão da saúde nos estabelecimentos prisionais; interlocução entre instituições de ensino e sistema prisional; e o controle social e a representação familiar. As rodas de conversa virtuais propiciaram discussões aprofundadas e construções coletivas, propondo encaminhamentos pautados no Quadrilátero da Educação Permanente em Saúde.

Abstract Assistive Technology is not widespread in Brazil. Advances have occurred gradually through achievements in the legal area and the promotion of research and development. The proposition of policies in this area can contribute to overcoming the social inequalities of a significant segment of the population that represents a real and expanding market. However, the low optimization of these resources by their users and the difficulty in finding them in the market and public agencies are worrying factors. This study addresses the impact of the demand for Assistive Technology on Brazilian public policies aiming to identify the relationship between the optimization of these resources and services and the formulation of targeted policies in the country. Through bibliographic, exploratory and qualitative research, a survey was conducted on the Brazilian legislation and the existing actions in the area of Assistive Technology, as well as an analysis of Brazilian public policies based on the normative evaluation criteria, applying the deductive method and the Bardin’s content analysis technique. The scientific literature shows that, despite the gradual advancement in legislation and initiatives to promote projects in this area, factors that hinder the access, use, and application of assistive products, such as the scarcity of innovative technologies, entail difficulties for the formatting of effective policies and the adequate configuration of fostering actions in the area of Assistive Technology, which is essential to the process of social inclusion.

Resumo A Tecnologia Assistiva é pouco disseminada no Brasil. Avanços têm ocorrido gradativamente por meio de conquistas na área jurídica e do fomento à pesquisa e desenvolvimento. A proposição de políticas nessa área pode contribuir para superar as desigualdades sociais de um significativo segmento da população que representa um mercado real e em expansão. No entanto, a baixa otimização desses recursos por seus usuários e a dificuldade em buscá-los no mercado e nos órgãos públicos são fatores preocupantes. Este estudo vem, portanto, abordar a repercussão da demanda por Tecnologia Assistiva nas políticas públicas brasileiras com o objetivo identificar a relação existente entre a otimização desses recursos e serviços e a formulação de políticas direcionadas no país. Por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica, com característica exploratória e abordagem qualitativa, foi realizado um levantamento da legislação brasileira e ações existentes na área da Tecnologia Assistiva, bem como a análise de políticas públicas brasileiras com base nos critérios da avaliação normativa, aplicando-se o método dedutivo e a técnica de análise de conteúdo de Bardin. Verificou-se na literatura científica que, apesar do avanço gradativo da legislação e das iniciativas de fomento a projetos nessa área, fatores de entrave ao acesso, utilização e aproveitamento dos produtos assistivos, como a escassez na oferta de tecnologias inovadoras, acarretam dificuldades para a formatação de políticas eficazes e a configuração adequada às ações de fomento na área de Tecnologia Assistiva – essenciais ao processo de inclusão social.

ABSTRACT The present work evaluated the effect of thermal treatment on the acoustic behavior of african mahogany wood (Khaya ivorensis A. Chev.) submitted to two types of thermal treatments called dry treatment, carried out in an oven at temperatures of 130, 160 and 190 °C, and wet treatment, using steam in an autoclave at temperatures and pressures of 123 °C and 1.2 kgf.cm−2 and 160 °C and 6.0 kgf.cm−2, respectively. Conjugated treatments were also carried out, where part of the samples first went through wet treatment and after that, through dry treatment. After treatments, the samples were submitted to acoustic evaluation through mechanical vibration tests, using the transverse impulse excitation technique, as reported for in the ASTM-E1876 standard. The fundamental resonance frequency (fr), the specific transverse dynamic (Espe), the logarithmic decrement of damping (LDD) and the acoustic conversion efficiency (ACE) were determined. According to the results obtained, the wood treated only by steam in an autoclave at 123 °C stood out in relation to the other treatments, including the conjugated was. An increase of 7.3 % was verified for the fr, 10.8 % for Eesp and 26.4 % for ECA, and reduction of 11.9 % for Dl. It was observed the optimization of African mahogany’s acoustic properties.

RESUMO O presente trabalho avaliou o efeito do tratamento térmico no comportamento acústico em madeira de mogno africano (Khaya ivorensis A. Chev.) submetida a dois tipos de tratamentos, denominados tratamento a seco (TS), realizado em mufla elétrica a temperaturas de 130, 160 e 190 °C, e tratamento hidrotérmico (TH), utilizando vapor de água em autoclave nas temperaturas e pressões de 123 °C e 1,2 kgf.cm−2 e 160 °C e 6,0 kgf.cm−2, respectivamente. Os tratamentos foram realizados em conformidade com um planejamento experimental. Após os tratamentos, as amostras foram submetidas à avaliação acústica através de ensaios por vibração mecânica, utilizando a técnica de excitação por impulso transversal, como previsto na norma ASTM-E1876. As grandezas acústicas determinadas foram: frequência de ressonância transversal (fr(Tr)), decaimento logarítmico transversal (Dl(Tr)), módulo de elasticidade dinâmico específico transversal (Eesp(Tr)) e eficiência da conversão acústica transversal (ECA(Tr)). De acordo com os resultados obtidos, a madeira modificada em autoclave a 123 °C se destacou em relação aos outros tratamentos, inclusive dos conjugados. Foram verificados aumentos de 7,3 % para fr(Tr), 10,8 % para o Eesp(Tr) e 26,4 % para o ECA(Tr), e redução de 11,9 % para Dl. Tais resultados indicam otimização das propriedades do mogno africano para aplicações acústicas.

Abstract Protozoa of the Apicomplexa phylum are worldwide distributed with capacity to infect endothermic animals. The study of these protozoa in wild birds in Brazil is scarce. This study aimed to evaluate the occurrence of apicomplexan protozoa in wild birds in the Northeast of Brazil. From October to December 2019, brain tissue samples were collected from 71 captive birds from the Wild Animal Screening Center of the Pernambuco State (CETRAS-Tangara) and 25 free-living birds from the Caatinga biome in Rio Grande do Norte, totaling 96 animals (41 species). Brain fragments were subjected to molecular diagnosis by nested PCR for the 18s rDNA gene of Apicomplexa parasites, followed by DNA sequencing. This gene was detected in 25% (24/96) of the samples, and it was possible to perform DNA sequencing of 14 samples, confirming three genera: Isospora, Sarcocystis and Toxoplasma from eight bird species (Amazona aestiva, Coereba flaveola, Egretta thula, Paroaria dominicana, Sporophila nigricollis, Cariama cristata, Columbina talpacoti, Crypturellus parvirostris). The occurrence these coccidia in wild birds provides important epidemiological information for the adoption of preventive measures for its conservation. Future studies are needed to better understand the consequence of Apicomplexa infection in birds in Caatinga and Atlantic Forest biomes.

Resumo Protozoários do filo Apicomplexa são distribuídos mundialmente e com capacidade de infectar animais endotérmicos. O estudo destes protozoários, em aves silvestres do Brasil, é escasso. Objetivou-se avaliar a ocorrência de protozoários Apicomplexa em aves silvestres na região Nordeste do Brasil. De outubro a dezembro de 2019, foram coletadas amostras de encéfalo de 71 aves de cativeiro do Centro de Triagem e Reabilitação de Animais Silvestres de Pernambuco (CETRAS-Tangara). E 25 aves de vida livre do bioma Caatinga no Rio Grande do Norte, totalizando 96 animais (41 espécies). Os fragmentos de encéfalo foram submetidos ao diagnóstico molecular por nested PCR, para o gene 18s rDNA de protozoários Apicomplexa, seguido por sequenciamento do DNA. Este gene foi detectado em 25% (24/96) das amostras analisadas; foi possível realizar o sequenciamento de 14 amostras, confirmando-se três gêneros: Isospora, Sarcocystis e Toxoplasma em oito espécies de aves (Amazona aestiva, Coereba flaveola, Egretta thula, Paroaria dominicana, Sporophila nigricollis, Cariama cristata, Columbina talpacoti, Crypturellus parvirostris). A ocorrência destes coccídios nas aves silvestres fornece informações epidemiológicas importantes para a adoção de medidas preventivas tendo em vista sua conservação. Estudos futuros são necessários para melhor compreensão da consequência da infecção por Apicomplexa, em aves silvestres dos biomas Caatinga e Floresta Atlântica.

ABSTRACT Objectives: to analyze the path taken by family caregivers of preschool children who survived leukemia and discuss the implications for primary healthcare nursing. Methods: the narrative interview guided by a talking map and body knowledge was used with family members of children who survived leukemia, living in Rio de Janeiro (capital) and São Paulo (countryside). Conversation analysis was applied to the data. Results: five family groups (seven people) of five children started their journey in the professional subsystem of private services; four were assisted in the private sector since the onset of the illness; one was assisted in public and private services. Living conditions reduced barriers to accessing supplementary health, facilitating coordination, and listening to a reference professional. Final Considerations: the itinerary was marked by attentive listening to family caregivers by reference professionals, favoring early diagnosis, initiation of treatment, and resolution of leukemia with the cure of children.

RESUMEN Objetivos: analizar el camino recorrido por los cuidadores familiares de preescolares que sobrevivieron a la leucemia y discutir las implicaciones para la enfermería en la atención primaria. Métodos: se utilizó una entrevista narrativa guiada por el mapa del habla y el cuerpo de conocimiento con familiares de niños que sobrevivieron a la leucemia, residentes en Río de Janeiro (capital) y São Paulo (interior). Se aplicó el análisis de conversación a los datos. Resultados: cinco familias (siete personas) de cinco hijos iniciaron su andadura en el subsistema profesional de servicios privados; cuatro fueron atendidos en el sector privado desde el inicio de la enfermedad; uno fue asistido en servicios públicos y privados. Las condiciones de vida redujeron las barreras para acceder a la salud complementaria, facilitando la coordinación y la escucha de un profesional de referencia. Consideraciones Finales: el itinerario estuvo marcado por la escucha atenta de los familiares cuidadores por parte del profesional de referencia, favoreciendo el diagnóstico precoz, inicio del tratamiento y resolución de la leucemia con la curación del niño.

RESUMO Objetivos: analisar o itinerário percorrido por familiares cuidadores de crianças pré-escolares sobreviventes da leucemia e discutir as implicações para enfermagem da atenção primária. Métodos: empregou-se a entrevista narrativa orientada pelo mapa falante e corpo saber com familiares de crianças sobreviventes de leucemia, residentes no Rio de Janeiro (capital) e São Paulo (interior). Aplicou-se a análise de conversação aos dados. Resultados: cinco núcleos familiares (sete pessoas) de cinco crianças iniciaram seu itinerário no subsistema profissional dos serviços privados; quatro foram assistidas no setor privado desde o início do adoecimento; uma foi assistida em serviços público e privado. As condições de vida reduziram barreiras de acesso à saúde suplementar, facilitando a coordenação e a escuta de um profissional de referência. Considerações Finais: o itinerário foi marcado por escuta atenta de familiares cuidadores pelo profissional de referência, favorecendo o diagnóstico precoce, início do tratamento e resolutividade da leucemia com a cura da criança.

Abstract The females of yellowtail tetra (Astyanax lacustris), known as the freshwater sardine, are approximately 1.33 times larger than males, and thus, all-female monosex culture would increase production and reduce size variability. The present work aimed to identify the optimal dose of 17α-methyltestosterone (MT) to be used in the masculinization of A. lacustris for indirect sex reversal. Three different concentrations of MT (20, 40, and 60 mg/kg of feed in the diet) were fed to the fry for 30 days. Thirty adult individuals from each treatment, including the control (0 mg MT/kg), were evaluated for gonadal development, morphological and histological sexual identification, zootechnical performance, and the possible genotoxic effect caused by prolonged exposure to MT. MT significantly (P<0.01) affected the differentiation of the gonads, with the presence of possible inhibitory effects in all treatments. Intersex individuals were present in the 20 and 60 mg MT/kg treatments. All treatments were able to masculinize A. lacustris and the treatment with the lowest hormone concentration produced the highest percentage of males 76.7%, while the control had 46.7% males. The presence of erythrocyte nuclear alterations indicated a possible cytotoxic effect of MT in treatments 40 and 60 mg MT/kg, however, the use of the hormone did not affect the growth and the survival of the individuals. Thus, the use of MT is a viable option for obtaining neomales as a first step into the production of all-female progenies.

Abstract Introduction Myocardial revascularization surgery is associated with high morbidity and mortality, due to factors like the general anesthesia and the surgical procedure itself. Physiotherapy, combined with early mobilization (EM), can provide the patient with better functional parameters. Objective To review, identify and describe the effectiveness of EM in the prevention and rehabilitation of functional parameters of coronary artery bypass graft surgery. Methodology This is a systematic review conducted between February 2020 and 2021 of randomized clinical trials (RCTs) published in the Cochrane databases Library, LILACS, Scielo and Medline / PubMed. The Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro) scale was used for assessment of the methodological quality of studies included. Results Four studies were reviewed. Two articles assessed functional capacity, one using the cycle ergometer and one with inspiratory muscle training (IMT) together with active exercises and early walking. One article reported a reduction in the incidence of atelectasis and pleural effusion with EM and one article reported improvements in the alveolus-artery gradient and inspiratory muscle power using an inspiratory muscle trainer combined with EM. Conclusion EM is effective in the prevention and rehabilitation of functional parameters after CABG surgery, by improving functional capacity, respiratory muscle power, quality of life and gas exchange, and reducing the incidence of atelectasis and pleural effusion.

ABSTRACT Objectives: to assess the effectiveness of a group and telephone educational intervention with seropositive women about knowledge about HIV sexual transmission prevention. Methods: a quasi-experimental before-and-after study, carried out with 151 women living with HIV in a Specialized Care Service in a Brazilian capital. The educational intervention was carried out in three moments, with the assessment being carried out before the first and after the last moment. Results: 97.4% of study participants were cisgender women aged between 18 and 58 years; 55.6% considered themselves brown; and 32.5% of interviewees had elementary school. Regarding knowledge about HIV sexual transmission, in 78.5% of items, there was an association (p<0.005) with increased participants’ knowledge after receiving the intervention. Conclusions: the educational intervention helped to increase the knowledge of women living with HIV about the sexual transmission of the infection.

RESUMEN Objetivos: evaluar la efectividad de una intervención educativa grupal y telefónica con mujeres seropositivas sobre conocimientos sobre la prevención de la transmisión sexual del VIH. Métodos: estudio cuasi-experimental de antes y después, realizado con 151 mujeres viviendo con VIH en un Servicio de Atención Especializada de una capital brasileña. La intervención educativa se realizó en tres momentos, realizándose la evaluación antes del primero y después del último momento. Resultados: el 97,4% de los participantes del estudio eran mujeres cisgénero con edades entre 18 y 58 años; el 55,6% se consideraba moreno; y el 32,5% de los entrevistados tenía educación primaria. En cuanto al conocimiento sobre la transmisión sexual del VIH, en el 78,5% de los ítems, hubo asociación (p<0,005) con mayor conocimiento de los participantes después de recibir la intervención. Conclusiones: la intervención educativa ayudó a aumentar el conocimiento de las mujeres que viven con VIH sobre la transmisión sexual de la infección.

RESUMO Objetivos: avaliar a efetividade de uma intervenção educativa em grupo e por telefone com mulheres soropositivas acerca do conhecimento sobre a prevenção da transmissão sexual do HIV. Métodos: estudo quase-experimental do tipo antes e depois, realizado com 151 mulheres vivendo com HIV em um Serviço de Atenção Especializada de uma capital do Brasil. A intervenção educativa foi realizada em três momentos, com a avaliação sendo feita antes do primeiro e após o último momento. Resultados: 97,4% das participantes do estudo eram mulheres cisgênero e tinham idade entre 18 e 58 anos; 55,6% se consideravam pardas; e 32,5% das entrevistadas possuíam ensino fundamental. Em relação ao conhecimento sobre a transmissão sexual do HIV, em 78,5% dos itens, houve associação (p<0,005) com aumento do conhecimento das participantes após receberem a intervenção. Conclusões: a intervenção educativa colaborou para o aumento do conhecimento das mulheres vivendo com HIV sobre a transmissão sexual da infecção.

ABSTRACT Stroke is a chronic health condition that requires monitoring. In this sense, telehealth emerges as a tool to enable better access. However, since it is related to use of technology, this modality might face new barriers. Our goal was to identify, with a systematic literature review, the perceived barriers to telehealth access by stroke patients and conceptualize them within the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model. The systematic review was carried out in the following electronic databases: PubMed, MEDLINE, SciELO, LILACS, and PEDro; and the combination of descriptors were: “Barriers to Access to Health Care,” “Telerehabilitation,” “Telehealth,” “Stroke,” and “Physical Therapy Modalities.” The included studies focused on telehealth barriers perceived by stroke patients. Initially, 298 articles were found, 295 via databases search, and three via active search; of these, only six articles were included in this review. Overall, the articles revealed the perception of more than 220 stroke patients, with barriers categorized into eight types, most of them related to the dimensions of Effort Expectancy and Facilitating Conditions of the UTAUT model. The barriers of the Effort Expectation dimension that are related to the knowledge in the use of technologies are likely to be overcome since training can be carried out before the telehealth service. However, the barriers related to the Facilitating Conditions dimension regarding financial aspects, the internet, and home context are difficult to overcome, possibly interfering with user’s acceptance of telehealth.

RESUMEN El accidente cerebrovascular (ACV) como una condición de salud requiere de monitoreo. En este contexto, la telesalud emerge como una posibilidad que permite un mejor acceso a los servicios de salud. Sin embargo, dado que esta modalidad está relacionada con el uso de la tecnología, se pueden surgir nuevas barreras. El objetivo de esta investigación fue identificar, mediante una revisión sistemática de la literatura, las barreras percibidas por los pacientes con ACV con respecto al acceso a la telesalud y conceptualizarlas dentro del modelo de la Teoría Unificada de Aceptación y Uso de la Tecnología (UTAUT). La revisión sistemática se realizó en las siguientes bases de datos electrónicas: PubMed, MEDLINE, SciELO, LILACS y PEDro; a partir de la combinación de los descriptores “barreras de acceso a la atención médica”, “telerrehabilitación”, “telesalud”, “accidente cerebrovascular” y “modalidades de fisioterapia”. Inicialmente, se encontraron 298 artículos, de los cuales se obtuvieron 295 mediante la búsqueda en la base de datos y tres por la búsqueda activa; de estos, solo seis artículos se incluyeron en la revisión. Los artículos revelaron la percepción de más de 220 sujetos que sufrieron ACV y ocho tipos de barreras; la mayoría de ellas relacionadas con las dimensiones Expectativa de Esfuerzo y Condiciones Facilitadoras del modelo UTAUT. Las barreras de la dimensión Expectativa de Esfuerzo, relacionadas con el conocimiento en el uso de tecnologías, se pueden superar mediante una capacitación previa antes de utilizar la telesalud. Sin embargo, las barreras asociadas con la dimensión de las Condiciones Facilitadoras respecto a los aspectos financieros, de Internet y el contexto del hogar son difíciles de superar y, por lo tanto, pueden interferir en la aceptación del uso de la telesalud por parte del usuario.

RESUMO O acidente vascular cerebral (AVC), como condição crônica de saúde, requer monitoramento. Nesse sentido, a telessaúde surge com o objetivo de possibilitar um melhor acesso aos serviços de saúde. Porém, por estar relacionada ao uso de tecnologia, essa modalidade pode enfrentar novas barreiras. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi identificar, por meio de uma revisão sistemática da literatura, as barreiras percebidas por pacientes com AVC quanto ao acesso à telessaúde e conceituá-las dentro do modelo da Teoria Unificada de Aceitação e Uso de Tecnologia (UTAUT). A revisão sistemática foi realizada nas seguintes bases de dados eletrônicas: PubMed, MEDLINE, SciELO, LILACS e PEDro; por meio da combinação dos descritores “barreiras de acesso aos cuidados de saúde”, “telerreabilitação”, “telessaúde”, “acidente vascular cerebral” e “modalidades de fisioterapia”. Inicialmente, foram encontrados 298 artigos, sendo 295 por meio da busca em bases de dados e três por meio de busca ativa, e, destes, apenas seis artigos foram incluídos na revisão. Somados, os artigos revelaram a percepção de mais de 220 indivíduos que sofreram AVC e oito tipos de barreiras, a maioria delas relacionadas às dimensões de Expectativa de Esforço e Condições Facilitadoras do modelo UTAUT. As barreiras da dimensão Expectativa de Esforço relacionadas ao conhecimento no uso de tecnologias são passíveis de serem superadas, pois treinamentos podem ser realizados previamente ao serviço de telessaúde. No entanto, as barreiras relacionadas à dimensão das Condições Facilitadoras no que se refere a aspectos financeiros, internet e contexto domiciliar são difíceis de superar, podendo, portanto, interferir na aceitação do usuário quanto ao uso da telessaúde.

ABSTRACT Purpose: to verify hearing difficulties related to everyday listening situations self-reported by normally-hearing adults. Methods: a cross-sectional observational study in which adult individuals with clinically normal hearing, verified through audiometry and tympanometry, were included. The participants answered the Brazilian Portuguese version of the Speech, Spatial and Qualities of Hearing Scale (SSQ) questionnaire. Statistical analysis comprised descriptive and Spearman’s correlation test with a significance level of 5%. Results: the sample consisted of 28 participants, aged between 20 and 44 years. The median SSQ score was 8.75, in the Hearing to Speech domain, 8.11, in the Spatial Hearing domain, and 8.91, in the Quality-of-Hearing domain. There was an association between the participant's age and the score on five questions, demonstrating less self-reported difficulty as age increased. Conclusion: difficulties in everyday listening situations, self-reported by normally-hearing adults, participating in this study, were more related to situations with competitive noise and listening effort.

RESUMO Objetivo: verificar as dificuldades auditivas relacionadas a situações cotidianas de escuta autorrelatadas por adultos normo-ouvintes. Métodos: trata-se de um estudo observacional transversal. Foram incluídos indivíduos adultos com limiares auditivos normais, verificados por meio de audiometria e timpanometria. Os participantes responderam à versão no português brasileiro do questionário Speech, Spatial and Qualities of Hearing Scale (SSQ). Os resultados foram analisados descritiva e estatisticamente. A análise estatística compreendeu teste descritivo e de correlação de Spearman com nível de significância de 5%. Resultados: a amostra foi composta por 28 participantes, com idades entre 20 e 44 anos. A mediana da pontuação no SSQ foi de 8,75 pontos no domínio Audição para a Fala; 8,11 no domínio Audição Espacial e 8,91 pontos no domínio Qualidade da Audição. Observou-se associação entre a idade do participante e a pontuação em cinco questões, demonstrando menor dificuldade autorrelatada conforme o aumento da idade. Conclusão: as dificuldades em situações cotidianas de escuta autorrelatadas pelos adultos normo-ouvintes participantes desse estudo foram mais relacionadas a situações com ruído competitivo e esforço de escuta.
