ABSTRACT The interest in the use of wastewater has grown, due to the limitation of good quality water, especially in the semi-arid region. The objective was to analyze the chemical alterations of soil irrigated with wastewater and phosphate fertilization, in the production of seedlings of Moringa oleifera Lam. The experiment was installed in a greenhouse, in the forest nursery of the Experimental Station Prof. Ignácio Salcedo from the National Institute of the Semi-Arid Region – INSA, Campina Grande – Paraíba. A randomized block design was adopted, factorial arrangement 5 x 2, with four replications, with five percentages of treated domestic wastewater, diluted in supply water (25%; 50%; 75%; 100% and treated supply water), associated with two nutritional factors (PA – phosphorus fertilization and SA – without fertilization). At 110 days after conducting the treatments, the following soil characteristics were evaluated: hydrogen potential, electrical conductivity, calcium, magnesium, sodium, phosphorus, potassium, sum of bases, aluminum, hydrogen, sulfate, cation exchange capacity and organic matter. The use of phosphate fertilizer contributed positively to the phosphorus, carbon, organic matter and cation exchange capacity of the soil. The increasing percentiles of wastewater leveraged the sum of bases and the cation exchange capacity, simultaneously promoted the increase in Na+, Al, H+Al contents and in the electrical conductivity of the soil saturation extract.

RESUMO O interesse na utilização de águas residuárias tem crescido, devido a limitação de água de boa qualidade, em destaque para o semiárido. Este trabalho teve por objetivo analisar as alterações químicas do solo irrigado com águas residuárias e da adubação fosfatada, na produção de muda de Moringa oleifera Lam. O experimento foi instalado em estufa, do viveiro florestal da Estação Experimental Prof. Ignácio Salcedo do Instituto Nacional do Semiárido – INSA, Campina Grande – Paraíba. Adotou-se o delineamento de blocos casualizados, arranjo fatorial 5 x 2, com quatro repetições, com cinco percentuais de água residual doméstica tratada, diluída em água de abastecimento (25%; 50%; 75%; 100% e água de abastecimento tratada), associados a dois fatores nutricionais (AF – adubação fosfatada e SA – sem adubação). Aos 110 dias após condução dos tratamentos, avaliaram-se as seguintes características do solo: potencial hidrogeniônico, condutividade elétrica, cálcio, magnésio, sódio, fósforo, potássio, soma de bases, alumínio, hidrogênio, sulfato, capacidade de troca catiônica e matéria orgânica. O uso da adubação fosfatada contribuiu de maneira positiva nos teores de fósforo, carbono, matéria orgânica e capacidade de troca catiônica do solo. Os percentis crescente de água residuária alavancaram a soma de bases e a capacidade de troca catiônica, simultaneamente promoveu o aumento nos teores de Na+, Al, H+Al e na condutividade elétrica do extrato de saturação do solo.

ABSTRACT Coffee plantations installed at high altitudes and near forested areas have been highly infested with Anredera cordifolia. The objective of this work was to evaluate the effectiveness of different pre- and post-emergence herbicide treatments on A. cordifolia after mechanical mowing. A field experiment was carried out in a coffee plantation with natural infestation of A. cordifolia in a completely randomized design with a split-plot scheme and four replicates, in which the main plot an herbicides application and the subplot was the days after the initial application (DAI). The treatments were as follows: saflufenacil + glyphosate (70 + 960 g a.i. ha-1); chlorimuron + glyphosate (80 + 960 g a.i. ha-1); metsulfuron + glyphosate (6 + 960 g a.i. ha-1); flumioxazin + glyphosate (25 + 960 g a.i. ha-1), and glyphosate (960 g a.i. ha-1); with sequential application of glyphosate (960 g a.i. ha-1); glyphosate + indaziflam (960 + 75 g a.i. ha-1); indaziflam (75 g a.i. ha-1); and a control without herbicide application. Mechanical control, followed by the application of the treatments flumioxazin + glyphosate and metsulfuron + glyphosate in the first application and sequential application of indaziflam, proved to be effective. Control of this weed should be based on the removal of its plant residues from the field to reduce the regrowth and germination of aerial tubers.

RESUMO Plantações de café instaladas em altitudes elevadas e próximas a áreas florestais têm sido altamente infestadas por Anredera cordifolia. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar a eficácia de diferentes tratamentos herbicidas pré e pós-emergência sobre A. cordifolia após roçada mecânica. Para tanto, foi conduzido um experimento de campo em uma lavoura de café com infestação natural de A. cordifolia em um delineamento inteiramente casualizado com esquema de parcelas subdivididas com quatro repetições, sendo a parcela principal os tratamentos com aplicação de herbicida e a subparcela os dias após a aplicação inicial (DAI). Os tratamentos foram compostos por: saflufenacil + glifosato (70 + 960 g i. a. ha-1); clorimuron + glifosato (80 + 960 g i. a. ha-1); metsulfuron + glifosato (6 + 960 g i. a. ha-1); flumioxazin + glyphosate (25 + 960 g i. a. ha-1) e glifosato (960 g i. a. ha-1); com uma aplicação sequencial de: glifosato (960 g i. a. ha-1); (6) glifosato + indaziflam (960 g i. a. ha-1); e indaziflam (75 g i. a. ha-1), além de uma testemunha sem aplicação de herbicida. O manejo integrado é fundamental para o controle adequado de A. cordifolia, devido ao seu desenvolvimento vegetativo agressivo. O controle mecânico, seguido da aplicação dos tratamentos flumioxazin + glyphosate e metsulfuron + glyphosate na primeira aplicação e indaziflam sequencial mostrou-se eficaz. O controle dessa planta daninha deve ser baseado na remoção de seus resíduos vegetais do campo para reduzir a rebrota e a germinação de tubérculos aéreos.

Abstract This in vitro study evaluated the effect of an experimental varnish containing 20% nano-hydroxyapatite (nHAP) associated with 5% stannous chloride (SnCl2) against erosive-abrasive wear on bovine dentin. Samples of bovine cervical dentin were pre-eroded (0.3% citric acid, pH 2.6 for 10 minutes) and randomized into 4 groups (n=10): Control group - experimental varnish without active ingredient (CG); experimental varnish containing 20% nHAP (nHG); experimental varnish containing 5% SnCl2 (24.800 ppm Sn2+) (SnG); experimental varnish containing 20% nHAP associated with 5% SnCl2 (18.300 ppm Sn2+) (nHSnG). After applying the materials, the erosive-abrasive challenges were performed for five days. Erosive dentin loss and analysis of the pattern of dentinal obliteration were performed by 3D confocal laser microscopy. A one-way ANOVA/Bonferroni test was performed to analyze the data (α=0.05). The SnG and nHSnG experimental groups presented more effectiveness in preventing erosive wear when compared to the other groups (p<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference between the SnG and nHSnG groups (p = 0.731) in tooth structure dentin loss. Regarding the amount of open dentinal tubules, the highest amount of obstructed dentinal tubules was demonstrated in SnG and nHSnG (p < 0.05) when compared to the others. Between SnG and nHSnG there was no significant difference (p = 0.952) in the amount of closed dentinal tubules in the dentin. Experimental varnishes containing 5% SnCl2 associated or not with 20% nHAP showed to be a promising strategy in preventing erosive-abrasive wear of dentin. In addition, nHSnG was able to obliterate dentinal tubules.

Resumo Este estudo in vitro avaliou o efeito de um verniz experimental contendo 20% de nano-hidroxiapatita (nHAP) associado a 5% de cloreto estanoso (SnCl2) contra o desgaste erosivo-abrasivo da dentina bovina. As amostras de dentina cervical bovina foram pré-erodificadas (0,3% de ácido cítrico, pH 2,6 durante 10 minutos) e aleatorizadas em 4 grupos (n=10): Grupo controle - verniz experimental sem ingrediente ativo (GC); verniz experimental contendo 20% nHAP (GnH); verniz experimental contendo 5% SnCl2 (24.800 ppm Sn2+) (GSn); verniz experimental contendo 20% nHAP associado a 5% SnCl2 (18.300 ppm Sn2+) (GnHSn). Após a aplicação dos materiais, os desafios erosivo-abrasivos foram realizados durante cinco dias. Perda de dentina erosiva e análise do padrão de obliteração dentinária foram realizadas por microscopia laser confocal 3D. Foi realizado o teste ANOVA/Bonferroni unidireccional para analisar os dados (α=0,05). Os grupos experimentais GSn e GnHSn apresentaram maior eficácia na prevenção do desgaste erosivo quando comparados com os outros grupos (p<0,05). Não houve diferença estatisticamente significativa entre os grupos GSn e GnHSn (p = 0,731) na perda de dentina da estrutura dentária. Relativamente à quantidade de túbulos dentinários abertos, a maior quantidade de túbulos dentinários obstruídos foi demonstrada em GSn e GnHSn (p < 0,05) quando comparada com os outros grupos. Entre GSn e GnHSn, não houve diferença significativa (p = 0,952) na quantidade de túbulos dentinários fechados na dentina. Os vernizes experimentais contendo 5% de SnCl2 associados ou não a 20% de nHAP mostraram ser uma estratégia promissora na prevenção do desgaste erosivo-abrasivo da dentina. Além disso, o GnHSn conseguiu obliterar os túbulos dentinários.

Abstract This work aimed to investigate the physicochemical and functional composition of bee pollen produced in different municipalities in the state of Rio Grande do Norte/Brazil (RN) and commercial samples produced in other places. To perform these experiments, samples of dehydrated bee pollen were crushed and subjected to physicochemical evaluation, instrumental color, fatty acid profile, evaluation of the presence of bioactive compounds [Total Phenolic Compounds (TPC), carotenoids] and antioxidant activity (reduction of DPPH radical). The pH of the pollen samples varied from 4.55 to 5.08, the protein from 19.01% to 29.71%, and the ash from 2.44% to 4.27%. All pollen samples showed a yellowish-red hue (a* and b* positive), and the pollen produced in Touros/RN/BR stood out with a lighter color (L* = 32.91). The pollen produced in Touros/RN/BR showed a higher (p < 0.05) percentage of saturated fatty acids (41.60%), whereas the pollen collected in Taipu/RN/BR had a higher percentage of monounsaturated fatty acids (7.44%). Pollen samples showed a low concentration of Total Carotenoid Content (TCC) (0.81 to 22.82 µg/g), as well as a high content of TPC (1.79 to 2.28 mg GAE/g) and antioxidant activity (1.40 to 5.70 µmol TE/g) when compared with the consulted literature. According to the obtained results, we could infer that pollen samples from different locations showed variations in physicochemical composition, coloration, fatty acid profile, TPC and antioxidant activity which reflects the geographic diversity inherent to the production sites.

Abstract Introduction Nurses from the night shift are exposed to sleep deprivation, which is associated with circadian rhythm alteration, lifestyle changes, psychosocial stress, and, consequently, increased risk of blood pressure (BP) deregulation and hypertension. Objective To analyze risk factors associated with elevated BP levels in nursing workers. Methods A transversal, quantitative study was conducted with 172 nursing professionals of a large hospital in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The following data were collected: anthropometric and BP measurements, sociodemographic characteristics, clinical variables, and lifestyle habits. Results were evaluated by bivariate analysis and logistic regression. The level of significance adopted in the statistical analysis was 5%. Results Participants’ average age was 42.7 ± 9.6 years old; 86.6% (n = 149) were female, and 20.3% (n = 35) had previous diagnosis of hypertension. Overweight and obesity (odds ratio [OR]: 2.187, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.060 – 4.509) and night shift (OR: 2.100, CI 95%: 1.061 – 4.158) were statistically significant (p < 0.05) for increased risk of elevated BP level. Conclusion Excessive weight and night shift were significant factors for increased BP in nursing workers.

ABSTRACT Objective To develop and validate a course on basic sciences in Ophthalmology. Methods A methodological study for the development and validation of a teaching and instructional material, an online course through the ADDIE instructional design, was prepared at the Faculdade Pernambucana de Saúde (FPS). The design consists of three steps out of five: Analysis, Design, and Development. Bloom’s revised Taxonomy was used to define the learning objectives. The course was submitted remotely to content validation, through a consensus group of five specialists selected with a score higher than five in the criteria established by the Fehring model, according to the rules of Resolution 510/2016. Results With expected duration of 15 hours, the course has 19 learning objectives distributed in six pedagogical units. It contemplates the programmatic content using several interactive technological resources, such as storytelling videos, simulation with animated cartoons and clickable interactive actors and screens. In addition to having formative evaluation of content sedimentation at the end of each unit. Conclusions The online course of basic sciences in ophthalmology has been validated by specialists and it is expected to provide democratization of ophthalmology teaching to educational institutions accredited by the CBO.

RESUMO Objetivo Elaborar e validar um curso sobre Ciências Básicas em Oftalmologia. Métodos Foi realizado um estudo metodológico para elaboração e validação de material didático, na modalidade à distância, por meio do desenho instrucional ADDIE. O desenho é composto de três de cinco etapas: análise, desenho e desenvolvimento. Foi utilizada a taxonomia revisada de Bloom para definição dos objetivos de aprendizagem. O curso foi submetido à validação do conteúdo, via remota, por meio de grupo de consenso selecionado pelo modelo de Fehring, segundo as normas da resolução 510/2016. Resultados O curso elaborado e validado tem duração prevista de 15 horas e possui 19 objetivos de aprendizagem distribuído em seis unidades pedagógicas. Contempla o conteúdo programático utilizando diversos recursos tecnológicos interativos e apresenta-se com avaliações formativas de sedimentação do conteúdo ao fim de cada unidade. Conclusão O curso de Ciências Básicas em Oftalmologia na modalidade à distância validado promete democratizar o ensino da Oftalmologia às instituições de ensino credenciadas pelo Conselho Brasileiro de Oftalmologia.

Abstract In animal production, a large part of financial resources is destined to animal feed, so the use of low-cost diets with maximum production efficiency is crucial. The present study evaluated the effects of a high-grain diet and the use of residual frying oil on the productive performance and carcass characteristics of lambs. Fifteen lambs were distributed into three groups in a completely randomized design in which they were fed a control diet, a high-grain diet, or a diet with the inclusion of residual frying oil, for 40 days. There was no difference (P > 0.05) between the control and frying-oil diets regarding the daily intakes of dry matter, crude protein, mineral matter, neutral detergent fiber, or total carbohydrates. The high-grain diet reduced the intake of dry matter and nutrients, negatively affecting weight gain. The highest means for final weight, total weight, and daily weight gain were obtained with the control diet and the diet containing residual oil, which did not differ from each other (P> 0.05). Slaughter weight and hot and cold carcass weights decreased with the high-grain diet. There was an effect (P < 0.05) of frying oil inclusion on the carcass characteristics of the lambs. The diets did not affect (P > 0.05) carcass yields. The animals on the high-grain diet showed unsatisfactory production performance, with impaired carcass characteristics. The inclusion of frying oil led to greater weight gain as well as more attractive carcass characteristics, making it the most viable alternative in this research.

Resumo Na produção animal, grande parte dos recursos financeiros destina-se à alimentação animal, portanto é essencial utilizar dietas de baixo custo e com máxima eficiência produtiva. O presente estudo avaliou os efeitos de uma dieta de alto grão e do óleo residual de fritura sobre o desempenho produtivo e as características de carcaça de cordeiros. Quinze cordeiros foram distribuídos aleatoriamente em três grupos e alimentados por 40 dias com uma dieta controle, dieta de alto grão ou dieta com inclusão de óleo residual de fritura. Não houve diferença (P > 0,05) entre as dietas controle e com óleo de fritura para consumo diário de matéria seca, proteína bruta, matéria mineral, FDN e carboidratos totais. A dieta de alto grão reduziu o consumo de matéria seca e nutrientes, afetando negativamente o ganho de peso. As maiores médias de peso final, ganho de peso total e diário foram obtidas nas dietas controle e com óleo residual, que não diferiram entre elas (P> 0,05). O peso corporal de abate e os pesos de carcaça quente e fria diminuíram com a dieta de alto grão. Houve efeito (P < 0,05) da inclusão de óleo de fritura sobre as características da carcaça. Não houve efeito (P > 0,05) das dietas no rendimento da carcaça. Os animais da dieta de alto grão mostraram um desempenho insatisfatório, afetando negativamente as características da carcaça. A inclusão de óleo de fritura promoveu um ganho de peso superior e características de carcaça mais atraentes, tornando-se a alternativa mais viável nesta pesquisa.

Abstract Background: Risk stratification on admission of patients with acute ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) is considered a clear strategy for effective treatment, early intervention, and survival. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the risk factors for in-hospital mortality from cardiac causes after STEMI. Methods: Observational, retrospective, longitudinal study, with a quantitative approach, based on data from the medical records of individuals diagnosed with STEMI treated at the Emergency Room of a large hospital in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, from January 2011 to July 2016. The outcome of interest was 30-day in-hospital mortality from after STEMI. For statistical analysis, the Pearson's chi-square test, Spearman's correlation and multivariable Cox-regression analysis were used, with a significance level of α = 0.05. Results: Of the 459 patients, 55 (12%) died from cardiac causes within 30 days after STEMI. Mean admission SBP of these patients was 109.08mmHg. The incidence of death was higher in women (23.7%), patients with systemic arterial hypertension (SAH) (13.8%) and elderly patients (16.5%). The elderly — heart rate (HR) = 3.54 — and women — HR = 2.55 — had a statistically significant higher risk of progressing to death when compared to younger adults and men. The highest admission SBP had a protective effect (HR = 0.97), reducing the chance of death by 3%. Conclusion: SBP on admission, female gender and advanced age were significant risk factors for death within 30 days after STEMI.

Abstract Background Fibroblast-like synoviocytes (FLS) play a prominent role in rheumatoid synovitis and degradation of the extracellular matrix through the production of inflammatory cytokines and metalloproteinases (MMPs). Since animal models are frequently used for elucidating the disease mechanism and therapeutic development, it is relevant to study the ultrastructural characteristics and functional responses in human and mouse FLS. The objective of the study was to analyze ultrastructural characteristics, Interleukin-6 (IL-6) and Metalloproteinase-3 (MMP-3) production and the activation of intracellular pathways in Fibroblast like synoviocytes (FLS) cultures obtained from patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and from mice with collagen-induced arthritis (CIA). Methods FLSs were obtained from RA patients (RA-FLSs) (n = 8) and mice with CIA (CIA-FLSs) (n = 4). Morphology was assessed by transmission and scanning electron microscopy. IL-6 and MMP-3 production was measured by ELISA, and activation of intracellular signaling pathways (NF-κB and MAPK: p-ERK1/2, p-P38 and p-JNK) was measured by Western blotting in cultures of RA-FLSs and CIA-FLSs stimulated with tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) and IL-1β. Results RA-FLS and CIA-FLS cultures exhibited rich cytoplasm, rough endoplasmic reticula and prominent and well- developed Golgi complexes. Transmission electron microscopy demonstrated the presence of lamellar bodies, which are cytoplasmic structures related to surfactant production, in FLSs from both sources. Increased levels of pinocytosis and numbers of pinocytotic vesicles were observed in RA-FLSs (p < 0.05). Basal production of MMP-3 and IL-6 was present in RA-FLSs and CIA-FLSs. Regarding the production of MMP-3 and IL-6 and the activation of signaling pathways, the present study demonstrated a lower response to IL-1β by CIA-FLSs than by RA-FLSs. Conclusion This study provides a comprehensive understanding of the biology of RA-FLS and CIA-FLS. The differences and similarities in ultrastructural morphology and important inflammatory cytokines shown, contribute to future in vitro studies using RA-FLS and CIA-FLS, in addition, they indicate that the adoption of CIA-FLS for studies should take careful and be well designed, since they do not completely resemble human diseases.

Abstract Objective: to describe the incomplete filling out of the profession/occupation variable in the flu-like syndrome, severe acute respiratory syndrome and mortality databases in Brazil. Methods: descriptive study with secondary data from flu-like syndrome (FLS), severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and mortality databases (SIM). We calculeted the absolute and relative filling frequencies of the profession/occupation variable according to State, gender, regions, and federative units, for 2020 and 2021. Results: we found a 94.7% incompleteness on the FLS database, 97.7% of missing profession/occupation data on the SARS, and 17.0% on the SIM database. Incompleteness frequency was above 91.0% in all Brazilian regions for FLS and SARS. Incompleteness on the mortality database was over 13.0%. All federative units presented incompleteness above 90.0% for FLS, 74.0% for SARS, and 6.8% for mortality in all genders. Higher levels of missing data were found in the states of Amapá for FLS (98.1%), Rio Grande do Sul for SARS and Alagoas (45.0%) for mortality (99.4%). Conclusions: all databases showed a high incompleteness of the profession/occupation variable. We recommend an articulation between the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Labor and workers’ representations to solve this lack of data on occupation/profession in public databases.

Resumo Objetivo: descrever a incompletude da informação sobre profissão/ocupação nas bases de dados de síndrome respiratória aguda grave (SRAG), síndrome gripal (SG) e no Sistema de Informações sobre Mortalidade (SIM) no Brasil. Métodos: estudo descritivo utilizando os bancos de dados de SRAG, SG e SIM. Calcularam-se percentuais de incompletude na variável profissão/ocupação segundo sexo, macrorregiões e unidades da federação, em 2020-2021. Resultados: o percentual de incompletude foi de 94,7% no banco de SG; 97,7% no de SRAG; e 17,0% no SIM. Em todas as macrorregiões a incompletude foi superior a 91,0% nos bancos de SG e SRAG; e superior a 13,0% no SIM. Todas as unidades da federação apresentaram percentuais de incompletude acima de 90,0% para SG; de 74,0% para SRAG; e de 6,8% para óbitos. Amapá apresentou maior percentual de incompletude na base de dados de SG (98,1%); Rio Grande do Sul (99,4%) na de SRAG; e Alagoas (45,0%) no SIM. Conclusões: observaram-se elevados percentuais de incompletude da variável profissão/ocupação nos sistemas de informação estudados. Recomenda-se uma articulação intersetorial, envolvendo representantes dos governos e dos trabalhadores, para formulação de estratégias que contornem a falta de informação sobre ocupação/profissão nas bases de dados relevantes para a vigilância em saúde.

SUMMARY BACKGROUND: Breast cancer is a public health problem with both high incidence and cure rates. After treatment, patients are monitored for long periods of time due to the risk of recurrence. Thus, staging and follow-up strategies should consider not only the best results for the patient but also its costs for the public health system. OBJECTIVE: The objective of this study was to quantify the waste of resources on breast cancer follow-up and evaluate its impact on the public health system. METHODS: This is a retrospective analysis of consecutive medical records to identify the intervals between consultations and tests used for staging and during the first 2 years of follow-up of patients with breast cancer treated at a public hospital in Brazil. Data were compared with the guidelines of the main international consensus. RESULTS: Medical records of 60 consecutive patients treated in 2018 were selected, of whom 52 had 2 or more years of follow-up, and 8 had only 1 year of complete follow-up. A total of 34 patients (56.67%) underwent excessive examinations for stating. During follow-up, 125 surplus consultations were performed (33.6%). In this phase, 111 surplus exams were also performed, representing an increase of 100.9%. A total of 423 laboratory tests were performed for 18 patients in the first year and 229 tests for 14 patients in the second year. CONCLUSION: Excessive tests and consultations significantly burdened the Unified Health System without any benefit to patients. Better adherence to staging and follow-up recommendations could reduce costs and optimize the limited resources used in the public health system.

Abstract The ability of children to organize themselves sensorially in a school environment to remain engaged in their routine activities has been minimally explored by occupational therapists. This study aimed to identify research on sensory processing and engagement carried out by occupational therapists over the past decade. Moreover, it seeks to analyze the depth and quality of discussions regarding the relationship between sensory processing and children’s engagement in their occupations. A systematic review was conducted utilizing the descriptors: sensory processing, engagement, and occupational therapy. These descriptors were combined through the AND operator in the VHL, PubMed, and Web of Science databases. Included articles, whether in English or other languages, defined and measured sensory processing; highlighted a relationship between child sensory processing and occupational engagement; were published within the past 10 years (2008 to 2018); underwent peer-review; are available in full; involved participants aged 0 to 7 years; and were authored by occupational therapists. The review process was performed by two authors using predefined data fields, which included study quality indicators. The results identified a mere nine articles on this specific theme. An assessment based on the OT Seeker scale revealed scores of moderate magnitude. This suggests a pressing need for occupational therapists to invest in the expansion of discerning research, aiming to elevate scientific evidence regarding the relationship between sensory processing and occupational engagement.

Resumo A capacidade das crianças de se organizarem sensorialmente em ambiente escolar para se manterem engajadas em suas atividades rotineiras tem sido pouco explorada por terapeutas ocupacionais. Este estudo teve como objetivo identificar pesquisas sobre processamento sensorial e engajamento realizadas por terapeutas ocupacionais na última década, bem como avaliar a qualidade das discussões sobre a relação entre processamento sensorial e engajamento de crianças em suas ocupações. Trata-se de uma revisão sistemática realizada a partir da busca dos descritores: processamento sensorial, engajamento e terapia ocupacional, combinados segundo o operador AND, nas plataformas BVS, PubMed e Web of Science. Os artigos incluídos, tanto em inglês e como em outras línguas, definiram e mediram processamento sensorial; apontaram relação entre processamento sensorial e engajamento ocupacional infantil; foram publicados nos últimos 10 anos (de 2008 a 2018); revisados por pares; estão disponíveis na íntegra; envolveram participantes com idade entre 0 e 7 anos, e foram escritos por terapeutas ocupacionais. As revisões foram realizadas por duas autoras usando campos de dados predefinidos, incluindo indicadores de qualidade do estudo. Os resultados identificaram apenas nove artigos sobre esse tema específico. A análise da classificação, com base na escala OT Seeker, revelou escores de magnitude moderada, o que sugere a necessidade de terapeutas ocupacionais investirem na ampliação de pesquisas criteriosas a fim de aumentar os níveis de evidência científica sobre a relação entre processamento sensorial e engajamento ocupacional.

Abstract The objective of this work was to evaluate common bean lines for yield and commercial grain quality in multi-environments, and to maximize the efficiency of selection using complementary methods. Over three crop years, 79 trials using carioca common bean lines were carried out in the dry, winter, and rainy crop seasons, in the Southern, Southeastern, Midwestern, and Northeastern regions of Brazil. The experimental design was a randomized complete block with three replicates and 17 genotypes. The evaluated traits were: grain yield (GY), grain appearance (GA), sieve yield (SY), and 100-seed weight (100SW). Adaptability and stability analyses were carried out using models that consider the genotype effect as fixed or as random, in a mixed-model perspective. A significant interaction between genotypes and environments was observed for all traits evaluated. The CNFC 15086 line presented the highest GY and 100SW, besides a high adaptability and stability. The most prominent line for GA was CNFC 15038. The CNFC 15097 line is recommended as a cultivar (BRS FC406) because it shows, simultaneously, favorable performances for GY, GA, SY, and 100SW, as well as for adaptability and stability.

Resumo O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar linhagens de feijão-comum quanto à produtividade e à qualidade comercial de grãos em multiambientes, e maximizar a eficiência da seleção por meio de métodos complementares. Ao longo de três anos agrícolas, 79 ensaios com linhagens de feijão-comum do tipo carioca foram conduzidos nas safras da seca, do inverno e do verão, nas regiões Sul, Sudeste, Centro-Oeste e Nordeste do Brasil. O delineamento experimental foi em blocos ao acaso, com três repetições e 17 genótipos. Os caracteres avaliados foram: produtividade de grãos (GY), aparência de grãos (GA), rendimento de peneira (SY) e massa de 100 grãos (100SW). As análises de adaptabilidade e estabilidade foram realizadas por meio de modelos que consideram o efeito de genótipo como fixo ou aleatório, em uma perspectiva de modelo misto. Observou-se interação significativa entre genótipos e ambientes para todos os caracteres avaliados. A linhagem CNFC 15086 apresentou as maiores GY e 100SW, além de alta adaptabilidade e estabilidade. A linhagem de maior destaque quanto à GA foi a CNFC 15038. A linhagem CNFC 15097 é a recomendada como cultivar (BRS FC406), por apresentar, simultaneamente, desempenhos favoráveis para GY, GA, SY e 100SW, bem como para adaptabilidade e estabilidade.

Abstract The objective of this work was to estimate the genetic parameters, evaluate the agronomic performance, and validate the microsatellite molecular markers (SSRs) linked with quantitative trait loci (QTLs) for Fe and Zn concentrations in grains of common bean, in order to select superior lines. One hundred and sixteen lines from two populations ('BRS Requinte' × 'Porto Real' and 'BRS Requinte' × G2358) and five check genotypes were evaluated in three environments. The parents and lines were genotyped with 20 SSRs. In the simultaneous selection of the lines for the four evaluated traits, the gains from selection were 4.7% for Fe concentration, 2.8% for Zn concentration, 3.9% for yield, and 0.9% for 100-seed weight. Therefore, there is the possibility of selection of lines that combine desirable phenotypes for the traits of interest. The only polymorphic marker is BM 154 in the 'BRS Requinte' × 'Porto Real' population, indicating that the QTLs linked with the markers may already be fixed or that the markers are not associated in the used populations. The single-marker analysis of QTL mapping shows an association between BM 154 and Fe concentration in only one environment, explaining 14.5% of phenotypic variation, which indicates the occurrence of the interaction of QTLs with environments.

Resumo O objetivo deste trabalho foi estimar os parâmetros genéticos, avaliar o desempenho agronômico e validar os marcadores moleculares microssatélites (SSRs) ligados a loci de caracteres quantitativos (QTLs) para concentrações de Fe e Zn em grãos de feijão comum, para a seleção de lin hagens superiores. Cento e dezesseis linhagens oriundas de duas populações ('BRS Requinte' × 'Porto Real' e 'BRS Requinte' × G2358) e cinco genótipos testemunhas foram avaliadas em três ambientes. Os genitores e as linhagens foram genotipados com 20 SSRs. Na seleção simultânea das linhagens para os quatro caracteres avaliados, os ganhos com a seleção foram de 4,7% para concentração de Fe, 2,8% para concentração de Zn, 3,9% para produtividade e 0,9% para massa de 100 grãos. Desta forma, há possibilidade de seleção de linhagens que reúnam fenótipos desejáveis para os caracteres de interesse. O único marcador polimórfico é o BM 154 na população 'BRS Requinte' x 'Porto Real', o que indica que os QTLs ligados aos marcadores já podem estar fixados ou que os marcadores não estão associados nas populações utilizadas. A análise de mapeamento de QTL por marca simples mostra associação entre BM 154 e concentração de Fe em apenas um ambiente, a qual explica 14,5% da variação fenotípica, o que indica a presença de interação de QTLs com ambientes.
