São introduzidos os conceitos das técnicas de aprendizado de máquina e coletado um conjunto amplo de dados por meio da observação acurada do movimento do pêndulo em diferentes condições iniciais. A partir desses dados, é empregado um algoritmo de regressão para criar um modelo do sistema do pêndulo com índices estatísticos satisfatórios. In an era where the prevalence of data is striking, the importance of adopting advanced computational techniques, such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, becomes fundamental in the training process of tomorrow’s physicists. This article introduces an innovative approach to physics education, incorporating machine learning into the classic study of the simple pendulum. Key concepts of machine learning techniques are introduced and a broad dataset is collected through accurate observation of the pendulum’s motion under different initial conditions. From these data, a regression algorithm is employed to create a model of the pendulum system with satisfactory statistical indices. The Scinax perpusillus species group consists of thirteen bromeligenous treefrogs, of which only six have had their acoustic parameters appropriately described. In this work, we present the vocal repertory of Scinax littoreus (Peixoto, 1988) based on recordings obtained from three different populations in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Based on our observations we suggest that the vocal repertory of S. littoreus is composed of two distinct types of calls. The call named type A, which corresponds to a long series of multipulsed notes, is likely to have a mating function. This type of call is similar to that reported for Scinax arduous Peixoto, 2002, Scinax peixotoi Brasileiro, Haddad, Sawaya & Martins, 2007, and Scinax perpusillus (Lutz & Lutz, 1939). However, the type A call of S. littoreus is nonetheless readily distinguishable from the comparable call observed in other congeneric species. The call named type B, which exhibits a multipulsed structure, presumably has an aggressive function. We observed that different types of calls could be emitted alone or combined according to the social context. Additionally, we discuss problems involving comparisons of call parameters among species belonging to the S. perpusillus species group, provide an updated geographic distribution map, discuss the conservation status of the included species, and emphasize the importance of acoustic data for the recognition of species groups within Scinax.

Este estudo descreve uma Análise Comportamental do Discurso (ACD), apresenta seus fundamentos e um método para efetivá-la, inferido de O Comportamento Verbal, de Skinner. Propõe a tese de que a ACD possa ser uma vertente de Análise do Discurso (AD), devido aos seus fundamentos epistemológicos: anti-mentalismo, anti-realismo e contextualismo. Discurso é um conjunto de comportamentos verbais sob controle das contingências de reforço (históricas e atuais) cujo sentido advém desse controle. Ao construir seu discurso, o falante combina operantes essenciais (mandos e tatos) em grupos temáticos intraverbais (emitidos às vezes como se fossem tatos) que são modificados com autoclíticos apropriados.

This study describes a Behavioral Analysis of Discourse (BAD). It presents the basis of BAD, describing a method to effect it, inferred from Skinner's Verbal Behavior. It proposes that BAD could be a modality of Discourse Analysis (DA) due to its epistemological basis: anti-mentalism, anti-realism and contextualism. Discourse is a set of verbal behaviors under the historical control and current contingencies of reinforcement, whose sense come upon that control. In the point of constructing his/her discourse, the speaker combines essential operants (commands and tacts) in intraverbal thematic groups (sometimes emitted as if they are tacts) that are modified with appropriated autoclitics.
