Resumo Baseado em um espécime de herbário coletado no estado de Santa Catarina, Brasil, descrevemos e ilustramos uma nova espécie: Oxypetalum kassneri. Além disso, com base em análises filogenéticas moleculares, propomos a revalidação de O. megapotamicum, espécie atualmente circunscrita no gênero Ditassa. O neótipo de D. megapotamica e o lectótipo de D. oxypetala são designados aqui.

Abstract Based on a specimen collected in Santa Catarina state, Brazil, the new species Oxypetalum kassneri is described and illustrated. Moreover, a molecular phylogenetic analysis allows to propose the revalidation of O. megapotamicum, a species currently placed in the genus Ditassa. The neotype of D. megapotamica and the lectotype of D. oxypetala are designated here.

Abstract Keller, H. A.; S. Liede-Schumann; A. Rapini & S. Cáceres Moral. 2020. The genus Ruehssia (Apocynaceae) from Argentina: phylogeny, new combinations and new records. Darwiniana, nueva serie 8(2): 414-437. Ruehssia was recently reestablished to classify all American species of the tribe Marsdenieae. Here, we provide a revision of the genus in Argentina, with an identification key, comments, a distribution map, and images of all species. The phylogenetic position of all species has been assessed using chloroplast and nuclear DNA sequences. We recognize six species. Besides R. altissima and R. macrophylla, we include two new records, R. hilariana and R. brasiliensis, and propose two new combinations in the genus, R. castillonii (Lillo ex T. Mey.) H.A. Keller & Liede and R. tressensiae (S.A. Cáceres & Morillo) H.A. Keller & Liede. Ruehssia montana and R. ulei, previously reported to Argentina, do not occur in the country.

Darwiniana, nueva serie 8(2): 414-437. Ruehssia se restableció recientemente para clasificar a todas las especies americanas de la tribu Marsdenieae. Aquí, ofrecemos una revisión del género en la Argentina, con una clave de identificación, comentarios, un mapa de distribución e imágenes de todas las especies. La posición filogenética de todas las especies se ha evaluado utilizando secuencias de ADN nuclear y cloroplástico. Reconocemos seis especies. Además de R. altissima y R. macrophylla, incluimos dos nuevos registros, R. hilariana y R. brasiliensis, y proponemos dos nuevas combinaciones en el género, R. castillonii (Lillo ex T. Mey.) H.A. Keller & Liede y R. tressensiae (S.A. Cáceres y Morillo) H.A. Keller & Liede. Ruehssia montana y R. ulei, previamente citadas para la Argentina, no habitan en el país.

The phylogenetic analysis of the subtribe Gonolobinae allowed to determine the position of Matelea balansae Morillo & Fontella, a taxon that was not related to the clade of the genus Matelea Aubl. sensu stricto, nor was grouped into other generic clades. This leads to the foundation of a new monotypic genus, Caa H. A. Keller & Liede. Morphological information, complementary to the original diagnosis of the species, is included.

El análisis filogenético de la subtribu Gonolobinae permitió determinar la posición de Matelea balansae Morillo & Fontella, taxón que no resultó afÃn al clado del género Matelea Aubl. sensu stricto, ni tampoco se agrupó dentro de otros clados genéricos. Ello propicia la conformación de un nuevo género monotÃpico, Caa H.A. Keller & Liede. Se incluye información morfológica complementaria a la diagnosis original de la especie.

A new name, Topea H. A. Keller, is proposed for the genus Aenigma H. A. Keller (Apocynaceae) because there is a preexisting phonetic homonym. In addition, based on molecular phylogenetic studies, the new, monogeneric subtribe Topeinae H. A. Keller & Liede, endemic to the southern cone of South America, is here described within the tribe Asclepiadeae.

Se propone Topea H. A. Keller como nuevo nombre para el género Aenigma H. A. Keller (Apocynaceae) por prexistir un homónimo fonético. Además, sobre la base de estudios de filogenia molecular se describe dentro de la tribu Asclepiadeae a la nueva subtribu monogenérica Topeinae H. A. Keller & Liede, endémica del Cono Sur de América del Sur.
