Abstract Faced with changes in eating habits, consumers currently seek to enjoy moderate consumption of healthy food products that results in sensory pleasure. Here, our study aimed to evaluate the biochemical and physicochemical properties and sensory profile of craft beers produced in the Brazilian Midwest region. Our evaluation of the beverages revealed different physicochemical characteristics such as alcohol content, soluble solids, titratable acidity in citric acid, and dry extract percentage, with values ranging between 4.06-6.13%, 5.13-10.98 °Brix, 1.71-3.45%, and 3.38-7.99%, respectively. Moreover, the average density of the beverages was 0.9906 g/cm3. In addition, the antioxidant activity and total phenolic of the beverages ranged between 14.28-20.46 mMol of Trolox/100 mL and 74.84-108.45 mg/100 g, respectively. Phenolic compounds that are essential in human nutrition, such as epicatechin, catechin, gallic acid, p-coumaric acid, caffeic acid, ferulic acid, rutin, and kaempferol, were identified in the beverages. Regarding the sensory profile of the craft beers, the beers had an average acceptability index of 75.11% for appearance, 70.24% for aroma, 60.43% for flavor, and 73.53% for texture. Our study demonstrated a correlation between chemical composition and acceptability index of beer, indicating a preference for lighter colored, fuller, and less acidic beers.

Abstract Background The many combinations of chemotherapeutic agents and biologicals available in the Brazilian National Health System for the treatment of metastatic breast cancer require analysis that contribute to decision making. Objective The study’s primary aim was to evaluate the first-line treatment of HER2- overexpressing metastatic breast cancer from the Brazilian Unified Health System perspective using multicriteria decision analysis (MCDA). Method The treatment options evaluated were (a) pertuzumab combined with trastuzumab and docetaxel, and (b) trastuzumab in combination with docetaxel. Using the hierarchical analytical method, medical oncologists compared the relevance of five predefined criteria: overall survival, response to treatment, adverse events, cost- effectiveness, and budget impact. Results The therapeutic scheme considered more appropriate by the model was pertuzumab combined with trastuzumab and docetaxel. The most sensitive criteria were adverse events, cost-effectiveness, and budget impact. The results suggest that the classification has a close relationship with the perspective of healthcare professionals participating in the questionnaire. Conclusion Defining the treatment of an incurable disease associated with a short survival time and high-cost treatment options necessitates complex decision-making. MCDA allows the weighting of criteria and considering criteria that would be difficult to measure in other methods, such as cost-effectiveness. These aspects differ from economic models and contribute to a broader evaluation of health decision-making.

Resumo Introdução As diversas combinações de agentes quimioterápicos e biológicos disponíveis no Sistema Único de Saúde brasileiro para o tratamento do câncer de mama metastático requerem análises que contribuam para a tomada de decisões. Objetivo O objetivo principal deste estudo foi avaliar o tratamento de primeira linha para câncer de mama metastático HER2 hiperexpresso sob a perspectiva do Sistema Único de Saúde, utilizando a análise de decisão multicritérios (MCDA). Método As opções de tratamento avaliadas foram: (a) pertuzumabe em combinação com trastuzumabe e docetaxel, e (b) trastuzumabe em combinação com docetaxel. Usando o método analítico hierárquico, médicos oncologistas compararam a relevância dos cinco critérios predefinidos: sobrevida global, resposta ao tratamento, eventos adversos, custo-efetividade e impacto orçamentário. Resultados O esquema terapêutico considerado mais apropriado pelo modelo foi pertuzumabe em combinação com trastuzumabe e docetaxel. Os critérios mais sensíveis foram eventos adversos, custo-efetividade e impacto orçamentário. Os resultados sugerem que a classificação está associada à perspectiva do profissional de saúde participante do questionário. Conclusão Definir o tratamento de uma doença incurável associada a um tempo de sobrevida curto e opções de tratamento de alto custo requer uma tomada de decisão complexa. O MCDA permite ponderar e considerar critérios que seriam difíceis de medir em outros modelos de decisão. Esses aspectos contribuem para uma avaliação mais ampla da tomada de decisões em saúde.

Abstract Introduction Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is characterized by limited airflow associated with inflammatory response and systemic manifestations, such as dyspnea, as well as physical inactivity and intolerance to exercise. The sum of these changes can lead to peripheral muscle fatigue and exert an impact on the performance of activities of daily living (ADL). Objective To investigate the possible association between peripheral muscle fatigue and performance on ADL in individuals with COPD, and to compare the results to those of healthy age-matched individuals. Methods Individuals with a diagnosis of COPD and healthy volunteers aged 60 years or older were submitted to evaluations of peripheral muscle fatigue (using surface electromyography) and performance on the Glittre-ADL test. Results Nine individuals with COPD and ten controls were evaluated. Median isometric quadriceps contraction time was 72 [38] and 56 [51] seconds, respectively. Execution time on the ADL test was 6.1 [4] and 3.6 [1.3] minutes for COPD and control group respectively, with a significant difference between groups (p < 0.05). However, no significant correlation was found between the evaluations. Conclusion No association was found between quadriceps muscle fatigue and performance on ADL in the sample studied. In the intergroup comparison, the individuals with COPD exhibited worse ADL time execution, but no significant difference was found regarding quadriceps muscle fatigue.

Resumo Introdução A doença pulmonar obstrutiva crônica (DPOC) é caracterizada por fluxo aéreo limitado associado à resposta inflamatória e manifestações sistêmicas, como dispneia, além de inatividade física e intolerância ao exercício. A soma dessas alterações pode levar à fadiga muscular periférica e exercer impacto no desempenho das atividades de vida diária (AVD). Objetivo Investigar a possível associação entre fadiga muscular periférica e desempenho em AVD em indivíduos com DPOC e comparar os resultados com indivíduos saudáveis da mesma faixa etária. Métodos Indivíduos com diagnóstico de DPOC e voluntários saudáveis com idade igual ou superior a 60 anos foram submetidos a avaliações de fadiga muscular periférica (por meio de eletromiografia de superfície) e desempenho no teste Glittre-ADL. Resultados Foram avaliados nove indivíduos com DPOC e dez controles. O tempo médio de contração isométrica do quadríceps foi de 72 [38] e 56 [51] segundos, respectivamente. O tempo de execução do teste de AVD foi de 6,18 [4,09] e 3,67 [1,3] minutos para DPOC e grupo controle, respectivamente, com diferença significativa entre os grupos (p < 0,05). No entanto não encontrou-se correlação significativa entre as avaliações. Conclusão Não encontrou-se associação entre a fadiga muscular do quadríceps e o desempenho nas AVD na amostra estudada. Na comparação intergrupos, os indivíduos com DPOC apresentaram pior tempo de execução das AVD, mas não encontrou-se diferença significativa em relação à fadiga muscular do quadríceps.

Abstract Paper aims To propose a framework to support online simulation studies considering facilitated modeling and concepts of modern industry context, such as agility and flexibility. Originality Since the frameworks in the literature deal with simulation projects focused on healthcare and face-to-face meetings, the present work innovates by offering an agile and flexible guide for simulation projects in production systems, which also supports online interventions. Research method Action Research method was used to develop the framework. After its development, the FaMoSim (Facilitated Modeling Simulation) framework was applied in a real case to evaluate its applicability. Main findings In the application of FaMoSim, we achieved the framework's objectives: carrying out a faster (up to 3 months) and more flexible online modeling process; creating a simple computer model that does not require a complex data collection structure nor a specialist team; generating a better understanding of the process and assisting the stakeholders in identifying improvements. Implications for theory and practice Considering some challenges that prevent the expansion of DES studies, the framework assists in expanding DES studies in environments where it is not widely used. The framework supports online interventions, making it an interesting tool that can be used mainly in times of social distancing.

Resumo Este estudo avaliou os instrumentos Reciproc R25 e Pro-R 25 sem uso, após um primeiro e um segundo uso em retratamento endodôntico com perfilômetro 3D por interferometria de luz sem contato, microscópio eletrônico de varredura (MEV) e testes de fadiga cíclica. Vinte dentes unirradiculares foram instrumentados com Reciproc R25 e obturados com guta-percha e cimento endodôntico. Um perfilômetro 3D com uma objetiva 20x usando o software Mx ™ foi usado para avaliar as superfícies da lâmina de corte do Reciproc e Pro-R (n = 5 por grupo) na condição sem uso, após o primeiro e após um segundo uso em procedimentos de retratamento. Após retratamento, o MEV foi usado para avaliar as características topográficas dos instrumentos utilizados. Testes de fadiga cíclica foram realizados para comparar instrumentos novos com instrumentos usados. O teste One-way ANOVA seguido pelo teste de Tukey foi usado para comparar os instrumentos testados nos diferentes estágios. Para comparar os diferentes instrumentos e para avaliação de fadiga cílcica, foi utilizado o Student t-test. Não foram observadas diferenças estatisticamente significantes nas superfícies das lâminas de corte dos instrumentos Reciproc e Pro-R antes e após um e dois usos (p> 0,05). O Reciproc na condição sem uso apresentou maior Sa e Sq quando comparado ao Pro-R (p <0,05). Não foram observadas diferenças entre Reciproc e Pro-R após um e dois usos (p> 0,05). O Reciproc sem uso apresentou maior tempo de fratura do que os instrumentos Pro-R (p<0,05), e apenas o Pro-R apresentou diferenças entre instrumentos novos e usados (p<0,05). Os procedimentos de retratamento com Reciproc e Pro-R não alteraram a topografia da superfície dos instrumentos. Reciproc apresentou maior resistência à fadiga cíclica em comparação com o Pro-R.

Abstract This study evaluated the Reciproc R25 and Pro-R 25 instruments in unused condition, after one and a second use in endodontic retreatment employing a noncontact 3D light interferometer profiler, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and cyclic fatigue tests. Twenty single-root teeth were instrumented with Reciproc R25 and filled with gutta-percha and sealer. A 3D profiler with a 20x objective using the Mx™ software was used to evaluate the cutting blade surfaces of Reciproc R25 and Pro-R 25 (n=5 per group) in unused condition, after the first and second uses in retreatment procedures. After retreatment, SEM was used to evaluate the topographic features of the used instruments. Cyclic fatigue tests were performed to compare new to used instruments. One-way ANOVA followed by Tukey test was used to compare the tested instruments before and after the first and second uses. Student t-test was used to compare the different instruments and for cyclic fatigue evaluation. No significant differences were observed in the cutting blade surfaces of Reciproc and Pro-R before and after one and two uses (p>0.05). Reciproc without use showed higher Sa and Sq when compared to Pro-R without use (p<0.05). No differences were observed between Reciproc and Pro-R after one and two uses (p>0.05). New and unused Reciproc showed longer time to fracture than Pro-R instruments (p<0.05), and only Pro-R showed differences between new and used instruments (p<0.05). Retreatment procedures with Reciproc and Pro-R did not change the surface topography of instruments. Reciproc had greater resistance to cyclic fatigue compared with Pro-R.

RESUMO: Foi realizado um estudo retrospectivo das infecções por poxvírus diagnosticadas em bovinos do estado de Goiás (GO), entre 2010 e 2018. Todos os casos foram investigados pela Agência Goiana de Defesa Agropecuária (Agrodefesa). Foram revisados formulários técnicos e protocolos de laboratórios de diagnóstico veterinário. Na maioria dos casos, amostras de tecidos orais ou cutâneos e/ou swabs foram encaminhadas para diagnóstico virológico. Foram notificados 37 surtos/casos de doença vesicular em bovinos em 25 municípios; em 33 casos os animais apresentavam lesões clinicamente compatíveis com poxvírus. A etiologia de 25 de 33 surtos/casos foi confirmada como poxvírus por PCR e/ou isolamento viral: 13 como vírus vaccínia (VACV), seis como vírus pseudocowpox (PCPV), cinco como vírus da estomatite papular bovina (BPSV) e um caso de coinfecção (VACV e um parapoxvírus semelhante ao Orf vírus). Os casos confirmados laboratorialmente ocorreram principalmente em bovinos leiteiros (19/25) e durante a estação seca (22/25). Em bovinos adultos, alterações macroscópicas foram observadas principalmente nas tetas e úbere e incluíram vesículas, úlceras, crostas, pápulas e cicatrizes e variaram quanto ao tipo, gravidade e região afetada, dependendo da espécie do poxvírus. Em bezerros, as principais lesões foram úlceras na boca e focinho. Lesões zoonóticas compatíveis com infecção por poxvírus foram observadas em todas as poxviroses diagnosticadas, afetando principalmente as mãos dos ordenhadores e outros trabalhadores rurais. Nossos dados demonstram a relevância sanitária e econômica dessas doenças e a ampla circulação de diferentes poxvírus em bovinos de GO.

ABSTRACT: A retrospective study of poxvirus infections diagnosed in cattle from Goiás state (GO), Brazil, from 2010 to 2018, was performed. All cases have been investigated by the GO Official Veterinary Service (Agrodefesa), from which technical forms and protocols of veterinary diagnosis laboratories were reviewed. In most cases, samples of oral or cutaneous tissues and/or swabs were submitted for virological diagnosis by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and/or virus isolation. Thirty seven outbreaks/cases of vesicular disease were notified in cattle of 25 counties; in 33 cases the animals presented lesions clinically compatible with poxviruses. The etiology of 25 out of 33 outbreaks/cases was confirmed as poxviruses by PCR and/or viral isolation: 13 as bovine vaccinia virus (VACV), six as pseudocowpox virus (PCPV), five as bovine papular stomatitis virus (BPSV) and one coinfection (VACV and an Orf virus-like parapoxvirus). The laboratory confirmed that cases occurred mainly in dairy cattle (19/25) and during the dry season (22/25). In adult cattle, gross changes were observed mainly in the teats and udder and included vesicles, ulcers, crusts, papules and scars and varied of type, severity and affected region, depending on the poxvirus species. In calves, the main lesions were ulcers in the mouth and muzzle. Zoonotic lesions compatible with poxvirus infections were observed for all diagnosed poxviruses, affecting especially the hands of milkers and other farm workers. Our data demonstrate the sanitary and economic relevance of these diseases and the wide circulation of different poxviruses in cattle from GO.

Abstract Paper aims This paper presents a comparative evaluation of different forecasting methods using two artificial neural networks (Multilayer Perceptron network and Radial Basis Functions Neural Network) and the Gaussian process regression. Originality Due to the current world scenario, solving economic problems has become extremely important. Artificial neural networks are one of the most promising tools to forecast economic trends and are being widely studied in economic analyses. Therefore, due to the concerns about the performance of different forecasting methods to solve economic problems, this study contributes with an example of the forecasting performance of artificial neural network models compared with Gaussian process regression using Nelson-Plosser and U.S. macroeconomic real-life data sets. Research method Two real-life data sets were used to evaluate the forecasting methods proposed in this paper. These data sets were normalised to values between zero and one. After that, the data training was performed and, once it was built, a model was used to generate forecasts. Thus, observations were made to verify how accurately the fitted model forecast the values. Main findings The results obtained from the study show that, for all forecasting horizons, multi-layer perceptron networks and Gaussian process regression models had the most satisfactory results. On the other hand, the radial basis functions neural network model was unsuitable for econometric data. Implications for theory and practice This study contributes to a discussion about artificial neural networks and Gaussian process regression models for econometric forecasting. Although artificial neural networks are mainly used in economic analyses, the results showed that not all models, such as radial basis functions neural networks, present good results. In addition, the regression of the Gaussian process showed promising results to forecast econometric data.

Abstract Paper aims Propose a continuous decision support system, a Digital Twin, integrating two widely used techniques, Discrete Event Simulation and forecasting methods. Originality With the evolution of the industry, there is a growing need for increasingly agile and assertive decision support systems. Also, familiar tools and techniques tend to change over time to suit such a scenario, supporting new researches on their use in the modern industry. Research method The proposed method allows the use of simulation, with the aid of forecasting methods, for continuous decision making, composing the so-called Digital Twin. The method was applied in a real process to validate it. Main findings The Moving Average, Single Exponential Smoothing, and Double Exponential Smoothing forecasting methods were used to supply the simulation model in order to test scenarios and guide decision making. The developed system enabled a virtual copy with a certain degree of intelligence and that provides answers to make the constant decision-making process more efficient. Implications for theory and practice The proposed method can be used for several operational problems like headcount, production planning and covers different levels of decision. Therefore, it can be used both on the shop floor and at managerial levels.

Abstract Paper aims To analyze service levels offered in a highway toll plaza and to test the influence of operational and human factors on manual customer service. Originality The methodology is an approach which involves systematic and efficient examination of multiple factors. This approach has been widely used in multiple areas; however, little research has been done on experiments in the area of transportation. Research method Design of Experiment (DOE) and Computation Modeling and Simulation. Main findings The association of the two methods allowed the development of a more robust empirical model of the customer service process. We have also verified that the human agent interacts and interferes in the manual payment process. Implications for theory and practice To contribute to the very important debate that surrounds service processes. The research showed that there are alternatives and improvements that can be applied and to serve as basis for transportation policies.

Resumo Durante a condução do projeto de simulação, analistas e clientes adquirem um maior conhecimento do que está sendo simulado, porém grande parte deste conhecimento é perdido, devido à ausência de formas de se retê-lo. Em boa parte, isto ocorre devido à falta de discussão com relação aos tipos de conhecimento presentes nas etapas de um projeto de simulação. Nesse contexto, este trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar um estudo de caso, a fim de conhecer como são conduzidos os projetos e identificar os tipos de conhecimento gerados durante sua realização, em empresas de consultoria em simulação. Para isto, foram escolhidas três empresas que trabalham com simulação, de pequeno, médio e grande porte. Como resultado, identificou-se que em cada etapa do projeto de simulação estão presentes os quatro tipos de conhecimento estabelecidos na espiral de Nonaka e Takeuchi. Estes resultados auxiliam os analistas na documentação e gestão do conhecimento e contribuem para evitar erros.

Abstract During a simulation project, modelers and customers acquire a greater knowledge of what is being simulated. However, much of this knowledge is lost due to the lack of ways to retain it and due to the lack of discussion about the types of knowledge present in the stages of a simulation project. In this context, this paper aims to present a case study to know how the projects are conducted and to identify the types of knowledge generated during their execution. The case study was performed in simulation consulting firms. Three companies specialized in the simulation were selected: a small one, a medium one, and a large one. It was identified that the four types of knowledge, established by the Nonaka and Takeuchi are present in each step of the simulation project. These results assist modelers in documenting and managing the knowledge and help them to avoid errors.

Resumo Objetivo: Avaliar os padrões de ressonância magnética (RM) associados à infecção do sistema nervoso central por Cryptococcus sp. em relação ao status imunológico dos pacientes. Materiais e Métodos: Dados de RM de 19 casos de neurocriptococose foram analisados retrospectivamente de janeiro de 2000 a março de 2014. As características de RM examinadas incluíram: sítio da lesão, aspectos em difusão, imagens ponderadas em T1 e T2 e padrões de realce pelo contraste. Resultados: A infecção por Cryptococcus sp. foi confirmada pela análise do liquor em todos os casos. Dos 19 pacientes, 10 eram imunossuprimidos e 9 eram imunocompetentes. Os padrões de imagem anormais ocorreram isoladamente ou em associação com outras manifestações. Os padrões de imagem encontrados nos pacientes imunossuprimidos incluíram: realce leptomeníngeo (n = 6), realce paquimeníngeo (n = 3; 2 devidos a hipotensão intracraniana), envolvimento do espaço perivascular (n = 4), granulomas (n = 2), hidrocefalia (n = 2), nódulos miliares (n = 1) e plexite (n = 1). Em pacientes imunocompetentes, os padrões de imagem incluíram: realce leptomeníngeo (n = 5), envolvimento do espaço perivascular (n = 3), granulomas (n = 3), criptococoma (n = 1), ventriculite (n = 1) e hidrocefalia (n = 1). As sequências ponderadas em difusão mostraram restrição em 2 pacientes imunocompetentes com granulomas intracerebrais por criptococose. Conclusão: O achado mais comum de imagem em ambos os grupos foi realce leptomeníngeo, seguido de dilatação dos espaços perivasculares pela presença do material mucoide. Apresentações raras como nódulos miliares, plexite, ventriculite e realce paquimeníngeo foram também observadas. Nenhum dos padrões de imagem comuns aos pacientes imunocompetentes e imunossuprimidos diferiu significativamente em frequência entre eles.

Abstract Objective: To assess the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) patterns associated with central nervous system infection with Cryptococcus sp. in relation to patient immune status. Materials and Methods: This was a retrospective study of MRI data for 19 patients with neurocryptococcosis who underwent the examination between January 2000 and March 2014. The MRI characteristics examined included lesion topography, aspects of diffusion, T1-weighted images, T2-weighted images, and contrast enhancement patterns. Results: In all cases, cryptococcal infection was confirmed by cerebrospinal fluid analysis. Of the 19 patients, 10 were immunocompromised and 9 were immunocompetent. Abnormal imaging patterns occurred alone or in conjunction with other manifestations. The imaging patterns found in immunocompromised patients included the following: leptomeningeal enhancement, in 6; pachymeningeal enhancement, in 3 (due to intracranial hypotension in 2); perivascular space involvement, in 4; granulomas, in 2; hydrocephalus, in 2; miliary nodules, in 1; and plexitis, in 1. In immunocompetent patients, the following imaging patterns were observed: leptomeningeal enhancement, in 5; perivascular space involvement, in 3; granulomas, in 3; cryptococcoma, in 1; ventriculitis, in 1; and hydrocephalus, in 1. In 2 immunocompetent patients, diffusion-weighted imaging showed diffusion restriction in cerebral cryptococcal granuloma. Conclusion: In both groups, the most common imaging finding was leptomeningeal enhancement, followed by dilatation of perivascular spaces with the presence of mucoid material. Rare presentations, such as miliary nodules, plexitis, ventriculitis, and pachymeningeal enhancement, were also observed. None of the imaging patterns common to immunocompetent and immunocompromised patients differed significantly in frequency between them.

Abstract This study presents the use of a serious game developed to teach Lean philosophy. The structure of this game was built from theoretical elements and predefined learning events. Learning outcomes and student motivation were considered in the evaluation of the efficacy of the game. This serious game was applied to four groups of students with different profiles. The evaluation results were compared among these groups of students. It can be concluded that the serious game developed showed positive results in learning and motivation demonstrated by the students, regardless of the group analyzed. The main contributions to the literature presented in this article were the serious game (named 3L) that was developed and the efficacy evaluation method, considering the learning and motivation demonstrated in different profiles of students.

Abstract Phacomatosis pigmentovascularis is a rare syndrome, defined as the simultaneous presence of vascular nevus and melanocytic nevus in the same patient. We report the case of a 53-year-old woman presented with dermal melanosis and extensive vascular nevus, which match the typical manifestations of phakomatosis pigmetovascularis of cesioflammea type, according to Happle's classification. The rare occurrence of this genodermatosis and the clinical exuberance of the skin lesions motivated this case report.

RESUMO: O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o efeito de épocas de semeadura na produção, componentes de produtividade e qualidade fisiológica de sementes de três cultivares de soja (TMG133RR, P98Y70RR e NS7670RR) em Neossolo Quartzarênico Órtico na região do cerrado. O delineamento utilizado foi em blocos casualizados num esquema fatorial com quatro repetições, sendo cada parcela com área útil constituída por três linhas com quatro metros de comprimento, no espaçamento de 0,45 m. As avaliações no campo foram estande final, altura de plantas, altura de inserção da primeira vagem, massa de 100 sementes e produtividade. No laboratório, as sementes foram avaliadas quanto à porcentagem de germinação e vigor (primeira contagem de germinação, emergência, índice de velocidade de emergência, comprimento e massa seca de parte aérea e raiz, condutividade elétrica, envelhecimento acelerado e tetrazólio). Conclui-se que é possível a utilização de Neossolos Quartzarênicos Órticos, localizados em região de cerrado com altitude superior a 600 m, em anos e locais com boa distribuição hídrica na primavera-verão, para produção de grãos e sementes de soja, sendo que no primeiro objetivo, a cultura deve ser semeada nos primeiros 20 dias de novembro e no segundo caso, essa deve ocorrer no inicio de dezembro.

ABSTRACT: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of the sowing periods in production, productivity component and physiological quality of seeds of three soybean cultivars (TMG133RR, P98Y70RR and NS7670RR) in Orthic Quartzarenic Neosoil in the cerrado region. The design used was a randomized block a factorial scheme design with four repetitions, and each plot with useful space consisted of three rows of four meters length, spaced at 0.45 meters. Field evaluations were the final stand, the height of the plants, height of the first pod insertion, the mass of 100 seeds and productivity. Already in the lab seeds were evaluated for germination and vigor (first germination count, emergency, emergence speed index, length and dry mass of the aerial part of the plant and roots, electrical conductivity, accelerated aging and tetrazolium test). It concludes that it is possible to use Orthic Quartzarenic Neosoils, located in the Cerrado region at altitudes higher than 600 m, in years and places with good water distribution in the spring-summer seasons, for grain and soybeans production, but as a first goal, the crop should be sown in the first 20 days of November otherwise it should take place in early December.
