Resumo Objetivo: estimar as taxas de utilização e de perda de doses de vacinas de frascos multidoses e monodose na Região Metropolitana de Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil, no período de 2015 a 2017. Métodos: estudo descritivo, realizado a partir de dados secundários do Sistema de Informações do Programa Nacional de Imunizações (SI-PNI) e do Sistema de Informações de Insumos Estratégicos de Saúde (SIES). Resultados: foram observados 12.342 registros; a taxa média de perdas foi de 45,8% (IC95% 39,5;51,7), e a de utilização, de 54,2% (IC95% 48,3;60,5); as vacinas com maior taxa média anual de perdas foram a tríplice viral (68,8% - IC95% 66,5;71,1), BCG (68,1% - IC95% 65,4;70,7), hepatite B (56,4% - IC95% 53,0;59,7) e febre amarela (55,9% - IC95% 51,4;60,4). Conclusão: as taxas de maiores perdas de vacinas foram de frascos multidoses, embora as vacinas monodose também houvessem excedido o limite aceitável definido pela Organização Mundial da Saúde.

Abstract Objective: to estimate usage and wastage of multi-dose and single-dose vaccine vials in the Metropolitan Region of Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, from 2015 to 2017. Methods: a descriptive study was carried out based on secondary data from the National Immunization Program Information System (SIPNI) and the Strategic Health Supplies Information System (SIES). Results: a total of 12,342 records were examined; mean wastage rate was 45.8% (95%CI 39.5;51.7), while usage rate was 54.2% (95%CI 48.3;60.5); vaccines with the highest mean annual wastage rate were MMR (68.8% - 95%CI 66.5;71.1), BCG (68.1% - 95%CI 65.4;70.7), Hepatitis B (56.4% - 95%CI 53.0-59.7) and Yellow Fever (55.9% - 95%CI 51.4;60.4). Conclusion: the highest rates of vaccine wastage were for multi-dose vials; although single-dose vaccines also exceeded the acceptable limit defined by the World Health Organization.

ABSTRACT N-acylhydrazone is an interesting privileged structure that has been used in the molecular design of a myriad of bioactive compounds. In order to identify new antinociceptive drug candidates, we described herein the design, synthesis, X-ray diffraction study and the pharmacological evaluation of a series of 3-amino-4-methylthiophene-2-acylcarbohydrazone derivatives (8a-t). Compounds were prepared in good overall yields through divergent synthesis from a common key intermediate and were characterized by classical spectroscopy methods. X-ray diffraction study was employed for unequivocal determination of the imine double bond stereochemistry. 8a-t were evaluated in vivo through oral administration using the classical writhing test in mice. N-acylhydrazone derivatives 8j and 8l displayed relative potency similar to dipyrone, highlighting them as promising analgesic lead-candidates for further investigation.

Diversos medicamentos vêm sendo testados e utilizados na terapia pulpar conservadora de dentes decíduos, no entanto, o formocresol continua sendo o material de escolha nas pulpotomias, mesmo não atendendo às exigências de biocompatibilidade e promovendo a fixação do tecido pulpar vital e não o seu reparo. Com o surgimento do Agregado Trióxido Mineral (MTA) como um material com propriedades físico-químicas que promovem o reparo tecidual, aliados a outras propriedades importantes, tais como a ação antimicrobiana e a biocompatibilidade aos tecidos pulpares surgiu uma nova alternativa de material na Odontologia. O objetivo deste estudo foi relatar o desempenho do MTA em uma pulpotomia em molar decíduo e seu acompanhamento por um período de 1 ano. Foi realizada a pulpotomia com o uso do MTA no dente 85 de um paciente de 5 anos de idade cujos resultados obtidos foram bastante favoráveis, demonstrando sucesso clínico e radiográfico no período avaliado. Apesar do pouco tempo de acompanhamento do dente decíduo tratado, acredita-se que o MTA possa ter um grande potencial biológico e futuramente podendo transformar-se em uma opção de material para ser utilizado como rotina nas pulpotomias de dentes decíduos.

Several medicines have been tested and used in the conservative pulp therapy of deciduous teeth, however, the formocresol has being the elected material in the pulpotomies, even not assisting the biocompatibility demands and promoting the fixation of the vital pulp tissue and not its repair. After Mineral Trioxide Aggregate (MTA) appearance as a material with physico-chemical properties that promotes the tissue repair, allied to other important properties, such as the antimicrobial action and the biocompatibility to the pulpal tissues, a new alternative material appeared for the dentistry. The aim of this study was to report the effect of MTA in a pulpotomy of deciduous molar, and its 1-year follow-up. The pulpotomy was made with MTA in the tooth 85 in a 5-year-old patient. The results obtained were quite favorable, demonstrating clinical and radiographic success, as well as absence of painful symptomatology reported by the patient. In spite of the little time of follow-up of the treated deciduous tooth, MTA has a great biological potential and could be an alternative material to be used in the pulpotomies of deciduous teeth.

In this work, the synthetic hydroxyapatite (HAP) was studied using different preparation routes to decrease the crystal size and to study the temperature effect on the HAP nano-sized hydroxyapatite crystallization. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis indicated that all samples were composed by crystalline and amorphous phases . The sample with greater quantity of amorphous phase (40% of total mass) was studied. The nano-sized hydroxyapatite powder was heated and studied at 300, 500, 700, 900 and 1150 °C. All samples were characterized by XRD and their XRD patterns refined using the Rietveld method. The crystallites presented an anisotropic form, being larger in the [001] direction. It was observed that the crystallite size increased continuously with the heating temperature and the eccentricity of the ellipsoidal shape changed from 2.75 at 300 °C to 1.94, 1.43, 1.04 and 1.00 respectively at 500, 700, 900 and 1150 °C. In order to better characterize the morphology of the HAP the samples were also examined using atomic force microscopy (AFM), infrared spectrometry (IR) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).

OBJECTIVE: This randomized double-blind clinical trial compared the performance of posterior composite restorations with or without bevel, after 1-year follow-up. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Thirteen volunteers requiring at least two posterior composite restorations were selected. Twenty-nine cavities were performed, comprising 14 without bevel (butt joint) and 15 with bevel preparation of the enamel cavosurface angle. All cavities were restored with simplified adhesive system (Adper Single Bond) and composite resin (Filtek P60). A halogen light curing unit was used through the study. Restorations were polished immediately. Analysis was carried out at baseline, after 6 months and after 1 year by a calibrated evaluator (Kappa), according to the FDI criteria. Data were statistically analyzed by Mann-Whitney test (p <0.05). RESULTS: Beveled and non-beveled cavities performed similarly after 1 year follow-up, regarding to fractures and retention, marginal adaptation, postoperative hypersensitivity, recurrence of caries, surface luster and anatomic form. However, for surface and marginal staining, beveled cavities showed significantly better performance (p<0.05) than butt joint restorations. CONCLUSIONS: It was concluded that the restorations were acceptable after 1 year, but restorations placed in cavities with marginal beveling showed less marginal staining than those placed in non-beveled cavities.

O objetivo deste estudo foi determinar, in vitro, a resistência à fratura de pré-molares superiores com diferentes preparos do ângulo cavossuperficial e restaurados com resina composta com distintos sistemas adesivos. Foram selecionados 80 dentes, divididos em 8 grupos: G1- hígidos; G2- preparos M.O.D.; G3- Single Bond sem bisel; G4- Single Bond com bisel reto; G5- Single Bond com bisel chanfrado; G6- Clearfil SE Bond sem bisel; G7- Clearfil SE Bond com bisel reto e G8- Clearfil SE Bond com bisel chanfrado. Os grupos 3-8 foram restaurados com resina composta Z250, pela técnica incremental. Os corpos-de-prova foram submetidos ao teste de resistência à fratura em máquina universal de ensaios, a uma velocidade de 0,5 mm/min. Os dados foram analisados estatisticamente pelos testes ANOVA, Tukey e exato de Fisher (α=0,05). O grupo 2 apresentou resistência inferior aos demais e o grupo 4 mostrou-se mais resistente à fratura do que os demais grupos (p<0,05). Concluiu-se que o bisel reto foi o preparo mais efetivo quando associado a adesivos dentinários com condicionamento ácido prévio. Ambos adesivos dentinários usados foram capazes de devolver a resistência perdida com o preparo cavitário.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the fracture strength of teeth with different cavosurface margin cavity preparations and restored with composite resin and different adhesive systems. Eighty premolars were randomly divided in 8 groups, as follow: G1- sound teeth; G2- MOD preparation (no restoration); G3- Adper Single Bond without bevel preparation (butt joint); G4- Adper Single Bond with bevel preparation; G5- Adper Single Bond with chamfer preparation; G6- Clearfil SE Bond without bevel (butt joint); G7- Clearfil SE Bond with bevel preparation; G8- Clearfil SE Bond with chamfer preparation. The adhesive systems were applied according to manufacturers’ instructions. Composite resin (Filtek Z250) was incrementally placed in all cavities. After 24 h, the specimens were tested in a universal testing machine at a crosshead speed of 0.5 mm/min. Data were analyzed statistically by ANOVA and Tukey’s test (fracture strength) and Fisher’s exact test (fracture pattern). The confidence level was set at 95% for all tests. Prepared and non-restored teeth showed the worst performance and G4 exhibited the highest fracture strength among all groups (p<0.05). In conclusion, all restorative treatments were able to recover the fracture strength of non-restored teeth to levels similar to those of sound teeth. Using a total-etch adhesive system with bevel preparation significantly improved the resistance to fracture.

Neste artigo, discutem-se os rumos da implantação da Psicanálise em São Paulo, na Universidade e na Sociedade Brasileira de Psicanálise de São Paulo. Assinalam-se algumas peculiaridades e diferenças dos dois movimentos de propagação, bem como sua inter-relação.

In the present article, the routes of implantation of Psychoanalysis in São Paulo, at the University and at the Psychoanalytical Society (SBPSP) are discussed. Some peculiarities and differences of both propagation processes, as well as their interrelation are outlined.
