ABSTRACT The peripherin gene (PRPH2) mutation is associated with photoreceptor cell dysfunction as well as in several inherited retinal dystrophies. The PRPH2 mutation c.582-1G>A is a rare variant reported in retinitis pigmentosa and pattern dystrophy. Here Case 1 was of a 54-year-old woman with bilateral atrophy of the perifoveal retinal pigmentary epithelium and choriocapillaris with central foveolar respect. Autofluorescence and fluorescein angiography revealed perifoveal atrophy of the retinal pigmentary epithelium with an annular window effect without the “dark choroid” sign. Case 2 (mother of Case 1) presented with extensive atrophy of the retinal pigmentary epithelium and choriocapillaris. PRPH2 was evaluated and the c.582-1G>A mutation was identified in heterozygosity. An advanced adult-onset benign concentric annular macular dystrophy diagnosis was thereby proposed. The c.582-1G>A mutation is poorly known and not present in all common genomic databases. This case report is the first one to report a c.582-1G>A mutation associated with benign concentric annular macular dystrophy.

RESUMO Mutações do gene da periferina (PRPH2) estão associadas à disfunção das células fotorreceptoras e estão envolvidas em várias distrofias retinianas hereditárias. A mutação c.582-1G>A do gene PRPH2 é uma variante rara, relatada na retinite pigmentosa e nas distrofias em padrão. O caso 1 foi de uma mulher de 54 anos com atrofia bilateral do epitélio pigmentar da retina perifoveal e da coriocapilar, com acometimento foveolar central. A autofluorescência e a angiofluoresceinografia revelaram atrofia perifoveal do epitélio pigmentar da retina, com efeito de janela anular, sem o sinal da “coroide escura”. O caso 2 (mãe) apresentava extensa atrofia do epitélio pigmentar da retina e da coriocapilar. Foi feito um estudo do gene PRPH2, que identificou a mutação c.582-1G>A em heterozigose. Foi proposto um diagnóstico de distrofia macular anular concêntrica benigna de início adulto em estágio avançado. A mutação c.582-1G>A é pouco conhecida e não está presente em todos os bancos de dados genômicos usuais. Este é o primeiro relato de caso publicado de uma mutação c.582-1G>A associada à distrofia macular anular concêntrica benigna.

The aim of this work was to analyze the Spanish psychology publications and journals indexed in the Emerging Source Citation Index (ESCI) during the last three years, to provide relevant information such as the journal citation indicator (JCI), the number of published documents, the most studied topics, analysis of indicators, collaborations, etc. Using the time range 2018-2020, 17 journals were screened, and a total of 1,247 documents (1,071 articles) with 43,697 references were obtained. Excluding Spain, the most productive countries were Mexico, Brazil, and Chile. In terms of the number of authors, the same countries predominate, in the following order: Brazil, Mexico, and Chile. The journals with the highest JCI andnumber of citations per paper were the Revista Iberoamericana de Psicología y Salud (1.08 and 5.17 respectively) and the International Journal of Educational Psychology (0.70 and 2.14 respectively), the former being the only one in the first quartile. Those with the highest h and g indexes were the Revista Iberoamericana de Psicología y Salud (7 and 10 respectively) and Papeles del Psicólogo (6 and 9 respectively). The three most used «keywords» were psychotherapy, adolescents, and anxiety.

El objetivo de este trabajo fue analizar las publicaciones y las revistas españolas de Psicología indexadas en el Emerging Source Citation Index (ESCI) durante los tres últimos años, con el fin de proporcionar información relevante como el indicador de citas de revistas (JCI), el número de documentos publicados, temáticas más estudiadas, análisis de indicadores, colaboraciones, etc. Utilizando el rango temporal de 2018-2020, se filtraron 17 revistas obteniendo un total de 1.247 documentos (1.071 artículos) con 43.697 referencias. Sin contabilizar a España, los países más productivos son México, Brasil y Chile. En cuanto al número de autores, destacan los mismos países en el siguiente orden: Brasil, México y Chile. Las revistas con un mayor JCI y número de citas por documento son la Revista Iberoamericana de Psicología y Salud (1,08 y 5,17 respectivamente) y la International Journal of Educational Psychology (0,70 y 2,14 respectivamente), siendo la primera de estas la única situada en primer cuartil. Las que tienen el índice h y g más elevado son la Revista Iberoamericana de Psicología y Salud (7 y 10) y Papeles del Psicólogo (6 y 9). Las tres “palabras clave” más utilizadas fueron psicoterapia, adolescentes y ansiedad.

ABSTRACT Objectives: To assess the risk of brain damage in premature infants under 34 weeks of gestational age exposed to histological chorioamnionitis (HCA). Materials and methods: A cohort study was conducted at the Hospital Cayetano Heredia, during 2015. Premature infants under 34 weeks of gestational age, who had histopathological examination of the placenta, were included. The types of HCA evaluated were sub-chorionitis, chorionitis, chorioamnionitis, with or without funisitis. Brain damage was evaluated in three age periods, between 0 and 7 days, between 7 and 30 days and at 40 weeks of corrected gestational age. A neurological follow-up and regular controls were performed with brain ultrasound. Results: A total of 85 premature infants were included, 47.1% were women and the mean gestational age was 30.9 weeks. From the total, 42% (36/85) were born exposed to HCA. Premature rupture of membranes was the main cause of sepsis, which was related to neurological damage. HCA was associated with intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH) during the first week and with white matter lesions between 7 and 30 days of age (p = 0.035). The chorioamnionitis type of HCA was associated with neurological damage during the first week (RR = 2.11, 95% CI: 1.09-4.11) and between 7 and 30 days of age (RR = 2.72, 95% CI: 1.07-6.88). Conclusions: Chorioamnionitis was a risk factor for developing brain injuries in premature infants under 34 weeks of gestational age. It was also a risk factor for HIV during the first 7 days and for white matter injuries between 7 and 30 days of age. At 40 weeks of corrected gestational age, extreme premature infants with HCA had more extensive brain damage.

RESUMEN Objetivos: Evaluar el riesgo de daño cerebral en prematuros menores de 34 semanas expuestos a corioamnionitis histológica (CAH). Materiales y métodos: Se realizó un estudio de cohortes en el Hospital Cayetano Heredia, durante el 2015. Fueron incluidos prematuros menores de 34 semanas que tuvieran examen histopatológico de la placenta. Los tipos de CAH evaluados fueron subcorionitis, corionitis, corioamnionitis, con o sin funisitis. El daño cerebral se evaluó en tres periodos de edad, entre 0 y 7 días, entre 7 y 30 días y a las 40 semanas gestacionales corregidas. Se realizó un seguimiento neurológico y controles con ecografía cerebral. Resultados: Se estudiaron 85 prematuros, 47,1% eran mujeres y la media de la edad gestacional fue de 30,9 semanas. El 42% (36/85) nacieron expuestos a CAH. La ruptura prematura de membrana fue la principal generatriz de sepsis, y la sepsis se relacionó con daño neurológico. La CAH estuvo asociada con hemorragia intraventricular (HIV) durante la primera semana y con lesiones de la sustancia blanca entre los 7 y 30 días de edad (p = 0,035). El tipo corioamnionitis de CAH se asoció al daño neurológico durante la primera semana (RR = 2,11; IC 95%: 1,09-4,11) y entre los 7 y 30 días de vida (RR = 2,72; IC 95%: 1,07-6,88). Conclusiones: La corioamnionitis fue un factor de riesgo para desarrollar lesiones cerebrales en prematuros menores de 34 semanas, para HIV durante los primeros 7 días y lesiones de sustancia blanca entre los 7 y los 30 días de edad. A las 40 semanas de edad corregida, los prematuros extremos con CAH tuvieron lesiones cerebrales más extensas.
