Resumo A engenharia civil desempenha um papel importante quando se trata de sustentabilidade, oferecendo alternativas cada vez mais viáveis e atualizadas em termos de gestão de materiais. Nesse contexto, o objetivo deste trabalho é avaliar a viabilidade de reaproveitamento da água para amassamento em corpos de prova de concreto após o uso de filtro cerâmico como meio de purificação da água. Além disso, busca-se comparar as propriedades do concreto e os parâmetros químicos da água. Para isso, foi realizado um estudo quanti-qualitativo por meio de ensaios laboratoriais para caracterização dos materiais, análise físico-química de água a partir de duas amostras provenientes do rebaixamento do lençol freático, sendo uma na forma bruta e outra tratada com um filtro cerâmico. Também foram realizados ensaios de resistência mecânica. Ao analisar os resultados obtidos, verificou-se que a água filtrada apresentou um aumento de 8,66% na resistência à compressão em relação à água bruta. Na análise física da água, ambas as amostras atenderam aos critérios de pH, cor e substâncias dissolvidas totais. Além disso, durante a análise química da água, foi verificada diminuição em cinco dos seis parâmetros analisados, sendo eles a alcalinidade total, o teor de cloretos, de fosfatos, de nitratos, de sulfatos e de zinco. Por fim, é possível considerar a redução de alguns elementos da água não filtrada que afetam negativamente a resistência e a qualidade do concreto, além de melhorar o pH. Outro ponto relevante, foi o aumento da resistência à compressão do concreto ao utilizar água tratada em comparação com a água bruta.

Abstract Civil engineering plays a pivotal role in advancing sustainability by offering increasingly viable and cutting-edge alternatives in materials management. In this context, the objective of this study is to assess the feasibility of reusing water for mixing concrete test specimens after employing a ceramic filter as a means of water purification. Additionally, we aim to compare the properties of the concrete and the chemical parameters of the water. To achieve this, a quantitative and qualitative investigation was conducted through laboratory tests to characterize the materials and perform a physical-chemical analysis of water from two samples sourced from the water table drawdown. One sample was in its raw form, while the other was treated with a ceramic filter. Mechanical strength tests were also carried out. Upon analyzing the obtained results, it was observed that the filtered water exhibited an 8.66% increase in compressive strength compared to the raw water. In the physical analysis of the water, both samples met the criteria for pH, color, and total dissolved substances. Furthermore, the chemical analysis of the water revealed a decrease in five out of the six parameters analyzed, specifically total alkalinity, chloride, phosphate, nitrate, sulfate, and zinc content. In conclusion, it can be inferred that there is potential to reduce certain elements in untreated water that adversely affect concrete strength and quality, in addition to improving the pH levels. Another noteworthy finding was the enhanced compressive strength of concrete when using treated water as opposed to raw water.

ABSTRACT Soil saturated hydraulic conductivity (Ksat) and steady-state infiltration rate (SSIR) are essential and necessary soil properties for different geoscience applications. Values of these hydraulic properties for the Brazilian territory are difficult to access and are dispersed in research efforts carried out around the country. This study developed an easy-to-manipulate, freely accessible database of soil saturated hydraulic conductivity, comprising field and laboratory analyses, and steady-state infiltration rates for Brazilian soils. This database was named Ksat-SSIR-DB. One analysis of the Ksat-SSIR-DB aimed to evaluate its coverage in Brazilian territory and in different soil groups. Average values of these hydraulic properties were also presented for textural classes, with values compared to those reported in international literature, and for other groupings, such as soil class, land use class, and porosity class. The variability of Ksat data in these groupings and in their combinations were also analyzed. The Ksat-SSIR-DB showed broad national coverage, comprising a total of 2,579 records, corresponding to 409 sampling sites, with Ksat and/or SSIR data and other associated soil information. A significant difference was observed between Ksat values for the vast majority of Brazilian clayey and very clayey soils compared to soils from the same textural groups from temperate regions. The two groupings that presented the lowest variability in terms of Ksat standard deviation values were the combination of textural classes with soil classes at the second category level of SiBCS (Brazilian Soil Classification System), and porosity classes with soil classes at the second category level of SiBCS. The Ksat-SSIR-DB has enormous potential for developing and testing Ksat pedotransfer functions in Brazilian soils, serving as a reference source for different geoenvironmental applications and, in particular, for modeling land surface processes. ABSTRACT: The objective of this research was to extract lignin from Eucalyptus sp. kraft black liquor and to evaluate the influence of its addition on the properties of the lignin-phenol-formaldehyde adhesive. The adhesives were synthesized at different phenol mass percentages by lignin, called lignin-phenol-formaldehyde adhesives in the proportions of 25, 30, 50, 75 and 80%. The parameters evaluated in the adhesives were pH, total solid content, organic compound content, inorganic compound content, gelatinization time and adhesive behavior in the glue line. The pH ranged from 10.63 to 11.65. For the total solid content was found the value of 53 to 69 %. The contents of organic compounds ranged from 51 to 75% and inorganic from 25 to 49%. It was observed that with the addition of macromolecule in the adhesive formulation, the total and organic solid content was reduced proportionally while the inorganic solid was high. The gelatinization time was reduced due to the addition of lignin. The lower proportions of addition presented better penetration and fluidity in interface with the wood. The kraft lignin extracted from eucalyptus kraft black liquor is a great adhesive with potential to partially replace petroleum-derived phenol, with great potential for use and application in the aeronautical and automotive sectors, in the bonding process of structural parts. RESUMO: O objetivo deste trabalho foi extrair lignina de Eucalyptus sp. licor negro kraft e avaliar a influência de sua adição nas propriedades do adesivo lignina-fenol-formaldeído. Os adesivos foram sintetizados em diferentes porcentagens de massa de fenol por lignina, denominados adesivos lignina-fenol-formaldeído nas proporções de 25, 30, 50, 75 e 80%. Os parâmetros avaliados nos adesivos foram pH, teor de sólidos totais, teor de compostos orgânicos, teor de compostos inorgânicos, tempo de gelatinização e comportamento do adesivo na linha de cola. O pH variou de 10,63 a 11,65. Para o teor de sólidos totais foi encontrado o valor de 53 a 69%. Os teores de compostos orgânicos variaram de 51 a 75% e de inorgânicos de 25 a 49%. Observou-se que com a adição da macromolécula na formulação do adesivo, o teor de sólidos totais e orgânicos foi reduzido proporcionalmente enquanto o de sólidos inorgânicos foi elevado. O tempo de gelatinização foi reduzido devido à adição de lignina. As menores proporções de adição apresentaram melhor penetração e fluidez na interface com a madeira. A lignina kraft extraída do licor negro kraft de eucalipto é um ótimo adesivo com potencial para substituir parcialmente o fenol derivado do petróleo, com grande potencial para uso e aplicação nos setores aeronáutico e automotivo, no processo de colagem de peças estruturais. Resumen El objetivo era analizar la tendencia temporal de la incidencia de cáncer en las macrorregiones sanitarias del estado de Mato Grosso de 2001 a 2016. Estudio de serie temporal ecológica con datos del Registro Poblacional de Cáncer de Mato Grosso. Se calcularon tasas de incidencia estandarizadas por edad desglosadas por año, sexo, macrorregión y tipo de cáncer. Para los hombres, la tendencia fue creciente para el cáncer de próstata en el estado y las macrorregiones Centro Noroeste, Este, Oeste y Sur, y para el cáncer colorrectal en el Norte; y una disminución para el cáncer de estómago en el estado y el Centro Noroeste y el Norte, para el cáncer de pulmón en el Este y para el cáncer de esófago en el Centro Noroeste. Para las mujeres, la tendencia fue creciente para el cáncer de mama en el estado de 2009 a 2016; para cáncer de pulmón en el estado (2008 a 2016) y en las macrorregiones Centro Norte (2001 a 216) y Sur (2007 a 2016); y en disminución para el cáncer de cuello uterino en el estado y para todas las macrorregiones, y para el cáncer de estómago en el estado y en el Centro Noroeste. El cáncer colorrectal mostró una tendencia estable en el estado y en todas las macrorregiones. Las acciones de vigilancia, prevención y control del cáncer deben considerar las diferencias regionales y de magnitud en la ocurrencia de la enfermedad.

Resumo O objetivo foi analisar a tendência temporal na incidência de câncer nas macrorregiões de saúde do estado de Mato Grosso de 2001 a 2016. Estudo ecológico de série temporal com dados do Registro de Câncer de Base Populacional de Mato Grosso. Foram calculadas as taxas de incidência padronizadas por idade, desagregadas por ano, sexo, macrorregião e tipo de câncer. Para homens, a tendência foi crescente para o câncer de próstata para o estado e as macrorregiões Centro-Noroeste, Leste, Oeste e Sul, e para o câncer colorretal na Norte; e decrescente para o câncer de estômago no estado e Centro-Noroeste e Norte, para o câncer de pulmão na Leste e para o câncer de esôfago na Centro-Noroeste. Para mulheres, a tendência foi crescente para o câncer de mama no estado de 2009 a 2016; para o câncer de pulmão no estado (2008 a 2016) e na macrorregião Centro-Norte (2001 a 216) e Sul (2007 a 2016); e decrescente para o câncer de colo do útero no estado e para todas as macrorregiões, e para o câncer de estômago no estado e na Centro-Noroeste. O câncer colorretal apresentou tendência estável para o estado e todas as macrorregiões. As ações de vigilância, prevenção e controle do câncer devem considerar as diferenças regionais e de magnitude na ocorrência da doença.

Abstract The scope was to analyze the time-series trend in the incidence of cancer in the health macro-regions of the State of Mato Grosso from 2001 to 2016. It involved an ecological time-series study with data from the Mato Grosso Population-Based Cancer Registry. Age-standardized incidence rates, disaggregated by year, sex, macro-region and type of cancer, were calculated. For men, the trend was increasing for prostate cancer in the state and the Central-Northwest, East, West, and South macro-regions, and for colorectal cancer in the North; and decreasing for stomach cancer in the state and the Central-Northwest and North, for lung cancer in the East, and for esophageal cancer in the Central-Northwest. For women, the trend was increasing for breast cancer in the state from 2009 to 2016, for lung cancer in the state (2008 to 2016) and in the Central-North (2001 to 2016) and South (2007 to 2016) macro-regions; and decreasing for cervical cancer in the state and for all macro-regions, and for stomach cancer in the state and in the Central-Northwest. Colorectal cancer revealed a stable trend for the state and all macro-regions. Cancer surveillance, prevention and control actions should consider regional differences and variations in magnitude of the occurrence of the disease.

Resumo Objetiva-se, nesta pesquisa, investigar a representação sintática do aspecto perfect. Mais especificamente, pretende-se verificar as realizações morfossintáticas de perfect universal (PU), resultativo (PRes) e experiencial (PEx) associados ao tempo passado e ao modo indicativo no português brasileiro (PB). Para tanto, foram analisadas cinco horas de fala espontânea e foi aplicado um teste de preenchimento de lacunas a 62 falantes nativos do PB. Os resultados evidenciam que o PU é veiculado por meio de pretérito imperfeito e “estar” no pretérito imperfeito + gerúndio; o PRes é veiculado por meio de pretérito mais-que-perfeito composto (com auxiliares “ter” e “haver”), pretérito perfeito, pretérito mais-que-perfeito simples e “acabar” no pretérito mais-que-perfeito composto com auxiliar “ter” + preposição “de” + infinitivo; e o PEx é veiculado por meio de pretérito mais-que-perfeito composto (com auxiliares “ter” e “haver”), pretérito perfeito e pretérito mais-que-perfeito simples. Os resultados corroboram a proposta de Rodrigues e Martins (2019) de que há três sintagmas de perfect na árvore sintática: o Sintagma de Perfect Universal (UPerfP) para o PU, o Sintagma de Perfect Resultativo (ResPerfP) para o PRes e o Sintagma de Perfect Experiencial (ExPerfP) para o PEx.

Abstract This research aims to investigate the syntactic representation of the perfect aspect. More specifically, we intend to verify the morphosyntactic realizations of universal perfect (UP), resultative perfect (ResP) and experiential perfect (ExP) associated to the past and to the indicative mood in Brazilian Portuguese (BP). For this purpose, five hours of spontaneous speech were analyzed and a gap-filling task was applied to 62 native speakers of BP. The results evidenced that UP is conveyed by the imperfective past and the auxiliary verb “estar” (‘to be’) in the imperfective past + gerund; ResP is conveyed by past perfect (with the auxiliary verbs “ter” (‘to have’) and “haver” (‘there to be’), simple past, past perfect simple and “acabar” (‘to finish’) in the past perfect compound with the auxiliary verb “ter” (‘to have’) + ‘de’ (‘of’) + infinitive; and ExP is conveyed by the past perfect compound with the auxiliary verbs “ter” (‘to have’) and “haver” (‘there to be’), simple past and past perfect simple. We discussed that the results corroborate Rodrigues and Martins’s (2019) proposal that there are three perfect phrases in the syntactic tree: Universal Perfect Phrase (UPerfP) to UP, Resultative Perfect Phrase (ResPerfP) to ResP, and Experiential Perfect Phrase (ExPerfP) to ExP.

ABSTRACT This critical-reflexive article, in light of the Social Determination of the health/disease process, aims to articulate the conceptions and approaches of health surveillance to problematize complex health issues that require the production of care articulated to territoriality, intersectorality and intersectionality, in addition to being linked to care practice in Primary Health Care, in a global context of intense and uncertain climate change. The methodological path outlined to achieve the objective was to carry out a theoretical essay, in which theoretical-analytical arguments were developed, characterized by articulating empirical research in relation to the theme of the need to build territorially articulated and collectively constructed health care and surveillance in the context of climate change. To this end, this manuscript is organized into three items: 1) problematize the ‘Social Determination of Health and coping with diseases of epidemiological relevance’; 2) discuss ‘climate change and persistent challenges and combating infectious diseases in Brazil’; 3) present ‘Participatory strategies and construction of democratic approaches in health care and surveillance’. RESUMO Artigo crítico-reflexivo, à luz da Determinação Social do processo saúde/doença, que objetivou articular as concepções e as abordagens da vigilância em saúde à problematização das questões complexas de saúde que exigem a produção de cuidado articulado à territorialidade, à intersetorialidade e à interseccionalidade, além de concatenado à prática assistencial na Atenção Primária à Saúde, em contexto global de intensas e incertas mudanças climáticas. Para alcançar o objetivo, realizou-se um ensaio teórico no qual se desenvolveram argumentos teórico-analíticos caracterizados por articular pesquisas empíricas em relação ao tema da necessidade de construção de assistência e vigilância em saúde territorialmente articuladas e coletivamente construídas no contexto das mudanças climáticas. Para tanto, este manuscrito se organiza em três itens: 1) problematizar a ‘Determinação Social da Saúde e o enfrentamento dos agravos de relevância epidemiológica’; 2) debater as ‘mudanças climáticas e os desafios persistentes e o enfrentamento dos agravos infectocontagiosas no Brasil’; 3) apresentar ‘Estratégias participativas e construção de abordagens democráticas na assistência e na vigilância em saúde’. Resumen El objetivo de esta investigación fue evaluar el efecto de dos porcentajes de inóculo utilizados para el arranque de lagunas de alta tasa (LAT ) en el postratamiento de efluentes de tanque séptico. Las lagunas LAT1 y LAT2 se inocularon sustituyendo, respectivamente, 3,25 y 6,50 % del volumen efectivo con líquido proveniente de una LAT operada con tiempo de retención hidráulica de ocho días. Durante siete días consecutivos se midieron las variables nitrógeno orgánico (NO), nitrógeno amoniacal total (NAT), fósforo total (PT), demanda química de oxígeno (DQO) y clorofila-a; se cuantificó y caracterizó el fitoplancton. Las concentraciones de clorofila-α en la LAT1 variaron entre 451,2 y 1802,2 μg/L y en la LAT2 entre 339,1 y 2194,7 μg/L, las densidades finales de fitoplancton fueron, respectivamente, de 683 200 y 5 535.130 organismos/mL, con presencia de individuos de las clases Chlorophyceae, Cryptophyceae y Euglenophyceae en ambas lagunas. Las eficiencias de remoción calculadas para las LAT1 y LAT2 fueron, respectivamente: NO: 37,1 y 51,6 %; NAT: 89,6 y 97,3 %; PT: 30,4 y 30,3 %; DQO: -1,3 y -53,2 %; E. coli: 1,495 y 2,398 unidades Log. La inoculación favoreció el rápido desarrollo de comunidades fitoplanctónicas, con mejores resultados en la remoción de nitrógeno e inactivación de E. coli al usar mayores cantidades de inóculo.

Abstract The main objective of this research was to evaluate the effect of two percentages of inoculum used for the startup of high rate algal ponds (HRAP) in the postreatment of effluent of septic tank. The HRAP1 and HRAP2 were inoculated by the substitution of 3.25 % and 6.50 % of the effective volume with liquid from a HRAP operated with a hydraulic retention time of eight days. During seven consecutive days the variables organic nitrogen (ON), total ammonia nitrogen (TAN), total phosphorous (TP), chemical oxygen demand (COD) and chlorophyll-α were measured; the phytoplankton was quantified and characterized. The chlorophyll-a concentrations in the HRAP1 varied between 451.2 and 1,802.2 μg/L and in the HRAP2 between 339.1 and 2,194.7 μg/L, the final densities of phytoplankton were respectively of 683,200 and 5'535,130 organisms/mL, with presence of individuals of the Chlorophyceae, Cryptophyceae and Euglenophyceae classes in the two ponds. The calculated removal efficiencies for the HRAP1 and HRAP2 were respectively: 37.1 and 51.6 % for ON; 89.6 and 97.3 % for TAN; 30.4 and 30.3 % for TP; -1.3 and -53.2 % for COD; 1495 and 2398 Log units for E. coli. The inoculation promoted the rapid growth of the phytoplankton communities, with best results for nitrogen removal and E. coli inactivation due the use of higher amounts of inoculum.

Abstract Dental referrals to the Endodontics Specialty Clinic (ESC) are routine owing to the complexity of endodontic treatments. To obtain a better prognosis for treatment, students/dentists must perceive their technical limits. This study sought to investigate the referrals of patients to the ESC from different clinics of the Piracicaba Dental School, State University of Campinas - SP, Brazil, and check: a) the demographic profile of patients and the most commonly affected tooth; b) the clinic with the largest number of referrals; c) the reasons for referrals; d) the complexity of the cases; e) and the difficulty in assessing the referred cases based on the classification provided by the American Association of Endodontists (AAE) and Souza-Filho. The study sample consisted of patients’ electronic dental referral records from February 2015 to June 2019. A total of 1,707 patients were referred to the ESC during the study period, and 62.4% were female. Lower molars were the most frequently involved teeth (34.8%), and 60.7% of the cases were referred due to the presence of root curvature. The AAE classification showed prevalence of highly difficult cases (71.3%), whereas Souza-Filho classification demonstrated a high rate of class III cases (85.8%). This study highlights the difficulties encountered by undergraduate students before or during endodontic treatments, reinforcing the need for clear criteria for selecting cases appropriate for each education level, thus improving endodontic treatment prognosis.

ABSTRACT Purpose: This study investigates the protective effect of cilostazol on the development and evolution of diabetic retinopathy in rats. Methods: Sixty male rats were divided into four groups: untreated nondiabetic rats, untreated diabetic rats, cilostazol-treated nondiabetic rats, and cilostazol-treated diabetic rats. The thickness of the internal limiting membrane to the outer limiting membrane, inner plexiform layer, inner nuclear layer, and outer nuclear layer were measured. The number of cell nuclei per 50-μm length in retinal sections was counted to quantify the degree of retinal cell loss. Results: The number of nuclei in the ganglion cell layer was significantly higher in untreated nondiabetic rats (p<0.05). The mean number of nuclei in the cilostazol-treated nondiabetic rats was significantly higher than that in the cilostazol-treated diabetic rats (p<0.05). The cilostazol-treated nondiabetic rats had a significantly higher mean nuclei count in the inner nuclear layer and inner plexiform layer as compared with the other groups (p<0.05). The total mean retinal thickness of the cilostazol-treated nondiabetic rats was significantly higher than that of cilostazol-treated diabetic rats and untreated diabetic rats (p<0.05). Conclusion: By decreasing the loss of ganglion cells and reducing the sensorineural atrophy in the internal retinal layers, cilostazol had a protective effect against changes caused by diabetic retinopathy in diabetic rats.

RESUMO Objetivo: O objetivo deste estudo foi investigar o efeito protetor do cilostazol no desenvolvimento e na evolução da retinopatia diabética em ratos. Métodos: Sessenta ratos machos foram divididos em 4 grupos: ratos não-diabéticos não-tratados, ratos diabéticos não-tratados, ratos não-diabéticos tratados com cilostazol e ratos diabéticos tratados com cilostazol. A espessura da membrana limitante interna à membrana limitante externa, a camada plexiforme interna, a camada nuclear interna e a camada nuclear externa foram medidas. Para quantificar o grau de perda de células da retina, foi contado o número de núcleos de células por 50 μm de comprimento em secções retinianas. Resultados: O número de núcleos no GCL foi significativamente maior em Ratos não-diabéticos não-tratados com cilostazol (p<0,05). O número médio de núcleos em Ratos não-diabéticos tratados com cilostazol foi significativamente maior do que em Ratos diabéticos tratados com cilostazol (p<0,05). A contagem média de núcleos em camada nuclear interna e camada plexiforme interna de ratos não-diabéticos tratados com cilostazol foi significativamente maior do que nos outros grupos (p<0,05). A espessura retiniana média total de Ratos não-diabéticos tratados com cilostazol foi significativamente maior do que em Ratos diabéticos tratados com cilostazol e Ratos diabéticos não-tratados (p<0,05). Conclusão: Os resultados demonstraram que o cilostazol teve um efeito protetor contra as alterações causadas pela retinopatia diabética em ratos diabéticos, diminuindo a perda de células ganglionares e reduzindo a atrofia neurossensorial nas camadas retinianas internas.

RESUMEN Objetivo: Analizar la evidencia científica sobre el impacto de la pandemia de COVID-19 en la conducta suicida en adultos. Método: Revisión sistemática, realizada de junio a octubre de 2022, en las siguientes bases de datos: MEDLINE/PubMed, Virtual Health Library, Excerpta Medica database, CumulativeIndex to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature, PsycINFO, Web of Science, Scopus, Science Direct y Google Scholar. Los datos fueron seleccionados, extraídos y la calidad metodológica evaluada utilizando la herramienta Methodological Index for Non-randomised Studies. Teniendo en cuenta que la mayoría de los estudios evaluados presentaban diferencias metodológicas significativas, se decidió realizar una síntesis cualitativa de los datos. Resultados: Se encontraron 2112 artículos, de los cuales se seleccionaron 8 artículos que analizaban el impacto de la pandemia COVID-19 sobre el comportamiento suicida en adultos. Conclusión: La pandemia del COVID-19 ha influido en el comportamiento suicida de adultos de todo el mundo, especialmente cuando se relaciona con la raza, el sexo, la edad, la religión, los problemas socioeconómicos, familiares y legales y los trastornos mentales preexistentes, lo que ha provocado una mayor propensión al suicidio.

Método: Revisão sistemática, realizada de junho a outubro de 2022, nas bases de dados: MEDLINE/PubMed, Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde, Excerpta Medica database, Cumulative Index to Nursingand Allied Health Literature, Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde, PsycINFO, Web of Science, Scopus, Science Direct e Google Scholar. A seleção, a extração dos dados e a avaliação da qualidade metodológica, por meio da ferramenta Methodological Index for Non-randomized Studies, foram realizadas. Considerando que a maioria dos estudos avaliados apresentaram diferenças metodológicas significativas, optou-se por realizar síntese qualitativa dos dados. Resultados: Foram encontrados 2112 artigos, dos quais foram selecionados oito artigos que analisaram o impacto da pandemia da COVID-19 no comportamento suicida de pessoas adultas. Conclusão: A pandemia da COVID-19 influenciou no comportamento suicida de pessoas adultas no mundo, em especial, quando relacionada a raça, gênero, idade, religião, problemas socioeconômicos, familiares, legais e a transtornos mentais pré-existentes, o que ocasionava maior propensão ao ato.

Conclusion: The COVID-19 pandemic has influenced the suicidal behavior in adults worldwide, especially when related to race, gender, age, religion, socioeconomic, family and legal issues, and pre-existing mental disorders, leading to a greater propensity for suicidal act.

Resumo Objetivo: analisar e comparar a imunização de gestantes no período da pandemia da COVID-19 no Oeste do Paraná. Método: pesquisa analítica e transversal, realizada na nona e décima regionais de saúde do Paraná. Participaram 823 puérperas, a coleta de dados foi conduzida por inquérito e informações do prontuário entre setembro a dezembro de 2021. Utilizaram-se análise descritiva e teste de qui-quadrado com nível significância de 5%. Resultados: a nona regional apresentou melhor desempenho na imunização contra Hepatite-B, Influenza, Difteria, Tétano e Coqueluche em comparação à décima regional. A vacinação contra COVID-19 teve baixa adesão em ambas as regionais, cujos motivos foram: medo, opção própria, orientação médica e desejo de esperar o filho nascer. Conclusão: são necessárias novas estratégias e campanhas de sensibilização para aumentar o índice vacinal entre gestantes, sobretudo para a vacina contra COVID-19, considerando as complicações para a saúde materno-infantil.

Abstract Objective: analyze and compare the immunization of pregnant women during the COVID-19 pandemic in western Paraná. Method: this is an analytical, cross-sectional study carried out in the ninth and tenth regional health departments of Paraná. A total of 823 puerperal women took part, and data was collected using a survey and information from medical records between September and December 2021. Descriptive analysis and the chi-square test were used, with a significance level of 5%. Results: the ninth region performed better in immunization against Hepatitis-B, Influenza, Diphtheria, Tetanus and Pertussis compared to the tenth region. Vaccination against COVID-19 had low uptake in both regions, the reasons for which were: fear, own choice, medical advice and the wish to wait for the child to be born. Conclusion: new strategies and awareness campaigns are needed to increase the vaccination rate among pregnant women, especially for the COVID-19 vaccine, considering the complications for maternal and child health.

Resumen Objetivo analizar y comparar la inmunización de mujeres embarazadas durante la pandemia de COVID-19 en el Oeste de Paraná. Método investigación analítica y transversal, realizada en la novena y décima región sanitaria de Paraná. Participaron 823 puérperas. La recolección de datos se realizó mediante encuesta e información de historias clínicas entre septiembre y diciembre de 2021. Se utilizó análisis descriptivo y prueba de chi cuadrado con un nivel de significancia del 5%. Resultados la novena región presentó mejor desempeño en inmunización contra Hepatitis B, Influenza, Difteria, Tétanos y Tos Ferina en comparación con la décima región. La vacunación contra la COVID-19 tuvo baja adherencia en ambas regiones y los motivos fueron: miedo, elección personal, consejo médico y deseo de esperar a que nazca el niño. Conclusión son necesarias nuevas estrategias y campañas de sensibilización para aumentar la tasa de vacunación entre las mujeres embarazadas, especialmente de la vacuna contra la COVID-19, considerando las complicaciones para la salud materna e infantil.

Resumo Objetivo Avaliar a tuberculose latente entre pessoas vivendo com HIV e contatos de pessoas com tuberculose. Métodos Estudo transversal, quantitativo, realizado no estado do Pará, a partir dos casos de infecção tuberculosa latente notificados entre os anos 2019 e 2020. Os dados foram extraídos do Sistema de Informação de Infecção Latente por Tuberculose, na Secretaria de Estado de Saúde Pública, no período de novembro a dezembro de 2021. Para análise, utilizaram-se a estatística descritiva, o teste qui-quadrado e o teste G, além da razão de prevalência, no Bioestat 5.3, com nível de significância de 5%. Resultados Foram estudados 1.116 casos de tuberculose latente, sendo 653 em 2019 e 463 em 2020. O desfecho indicou baixa proporção de tratamentos completos (n=734). Entre os registros, 371 eram de pessoas vivendo com HIV e 416 contatos de casos de tuberculose. Observou-se associação da infecção latente em pessoas vivendo com HIV e contatos com as variáveis sexo, idade, procedência e situação de encerramento (p<0,0001). Conclusão A tuberculose latente em pessoas vivendo com HIV e contatos apresenta diferentes padrões quando associada ao perfil sociodemográfico, sendo necessário priorizar a identificação desses grupos para a adoção de ações estratégicas que impactem no controle da doença.

For analysis, descriptive statistics, chi-square test and G test were used, in addition to prevalence ratio, in Bioestat 5.3, with a significance level of 5%. Results A total of 1,116 cases of latent tuberculosis were studied: 653 in 2019 and 463 in 2020. The outcome indicated a low proportion of complete treatments (n=734). Among the records, 371 were of people living with HIV and 416 were of contacts of tuberculosis cases. An association was observed between latent infection in people living with HIV and contacts with the variables sex, age, origin and termination situation (p<0.0001). Conclusion Latent tuberculosis in people living with HIV and contacts presents different patterns when associated with the sociodemographic profile, making it necessary to prioritize the identification of these groups in order to adopt strategic actions that impact disease management.

Conclusión La tuberculosis latente en personas que viven con el VIH y contactos presenta diferentes patrones al relacionarla con el perfil sociodemográfico, por lo que es necesario priorizar la identificación de estos grupos para adoptar acciones estratégicas que impacten en el control de la enfermedad.

RESUMEN Esta investigación pretende comprender el proceso de ocupación productiva de la Amazonía y el impacto en los modos de existencia de los pueblos indígenas durante el período dictatorial brasileño (1964-1985). Para ello, se analizan numerosos documentos extraídos de la colección del Servicio Nacional de Información (SNI), los procesos e informes del Ministerio Público Federal (MPF) y de las Comisiones Parlamentarias de Investigación (CPI). ABSTRACT This research focused on understanding the process of productive occupation of the Amazon and the impact on the forms of existence of Indigenous peoples during the Brazilian dictatorship (1964-1985). We analysed numerous documents from the collection of the National Information Service processes and reports from the Federal Public Ministry and Parliamentary Inquiry Commissions. RESUMO Na pesquisa, focamos a compreensão do processo de ocupação produtiva da Amazônia e o impacto nas formas de existência dos povos indígenas no período da ditadura (1964-1985). Analisamos inúmeros documentos extraídos do acervo do Serviço Nacional de Informação (SNI), processos e relatórios do Ministério Público Federal (MPF) e das Comissões Parlamentares de Inquérito (CPI). Abstract Background There is a remarkable variability in the frequency of HLA-B27 positivity in patients with spondyloarthritis (SpA), which may be associated with different clinical presentations worldwide. However, there is a lack of data considering ethnicity and sex on the evaluation of the main clinical and prognostic outcomes in mixed-race populations. The aim of this study was to evaluate the frequency of HLA-B27 and its correlation with disease parameters in a large population of patients from the Brazilian Registry of Spondyloarthritis (RBE). Methods The RBE is a multicenter, observational, prospective cohort that enrolled patients with SpA from 46 centers representing all five geographic regions of Brazil. The inclusion criteria were as follow: (1) diagnosis of axSpA by an expert rheumatologist; (2) age ≥18 years; (3) classification according to ASAS axial. The following data were collected via a standardized protocol: demographic data, disease parameters and treatment historical. Results A total of 1096 patients were included, with 73.4% HLA-B27 positivity and a mean age of 44.4 (±13.2) years. Positive HLA-B27 was significantly associated with male sex, earlier age at disease onset and diagnosis, uveitis, and family history of SpA. Conversely, negative HLA-B27 was associated with psoriasis, higher peripheral involvement and disease activity, worse quality of life and mobility. Conclusions Our data showed that HLA-B27 positivity was associated with a classic axSpA pattern quite similar to that of Caucasian axSpA patients around the world. Furthermore, its absence was associated with peripheral manifestations and worse outcomes, suggesting a relevant phenotypic difference in a highly miscegenated population. ABSTRACT Background: The water deficit characteristic of semi-arid regions can cause negative changes in plant physiology. Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi can meet water needs by associating with plant roots, improving seedling quality. The physiological parameters and the quality of the seedlings of Parkia platycephala Benth. were evaluated as a result of the association of isolated strains of Gigaspora rosea, Gigaspora margarita, Acaulospora koskei, Acaulospora morrowiae, intercalated strains (a mixture of the four strains mentioned above) and a control (without inoculation) under two conditions of water regime (with and without stress). Results: Artificial inoculation of AMF is a promising management technique in the production of P. platycephala Benth seedlings for improving the physiological state, increasing seedling quality, and drought resilience. Under restriction water restriction conditions, the seedlings showed lower values of net CO2 assimilation, leaf transpiration, stomatal conductance, and higher values of internal CO2 concentration. Under these conditions, the G. rosea strain stood out with the lowest rate of net CO2 assimilation (A), leaf transpiration (E), and stomatal conductance (gs) with increases of 34, 49, and 70 %, respectively, compared to the control. Conclusion: Stomatal closure is a strategy used by Parkia platycephala Benth. seedlings to prevent excessive water loss, and the Gigaspora rosea strain is responsible for mediating the best physiological conditions and better quality seedlings.
