Resumo O programa #Tamojunto2.0 (Unplugged) tem sido avaliado no Brasil com vistas a subsidiar sua implantação como política pública nacional. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar o processo de implementação do programa escolar #Tamojunto2.0, disseminado pelo Ministério da Saúde, na prevenção do uso de álcool e outras drogas entre adolescentes. Trata-se de estudo de métodos mistos. A amostra constituiu-se de 13 professores e oito gestores de turmas de 8º ano do ensino fundamental de escolas públicas localizadas em duas cidades, e uma profissional ministrante da formação para aplicação do programa. Foram utilizados formulários de observação, avaliação e roteiro de entrevista semiestruturada, os dados coletados foram submetidos às análises descritiva e temática. Os resultados indicam baixa fidelidade de implementação, boa qualidade na aplicação do programa, alto absenteísmo dos estudantes. São também apresentados aspectos que facilitam ou dificultam sua implementação. Tais resultados são relevantes para a implementação do #Tamojunto2.0 em larga-escala.

Abstract The #Tamojunto2.0 program (Unplugged) has been evaluated in Brazil in order to support its implementation as a national public policy. The aim of this study was to evaluate the implementation process of the #Tamojunto2.0 school-based program, disseminated by the Ministry of Health, in the prevention of alcohol and other drug use among adolescents. This is a mixed-methods study. The sample consisted of 13 teachers and eight managers of 8th grade classes of elementary education public schools located in two cities, and a training provider professional for the program’s application. Observation, evaluation and semi-structured interview forms were used. Descriptive and thematic analyses were performed. The results indicate low implementation fidelity, good quality in the application of the program, and high student absenteeism. Aspects which facilitate or hinder implementation of the program are also presented. Such results are relevant for the large-scale implementation of #Tamojunto2.0.

Resumen El programa # Tamojunto2.0 (Unplugged) ha sido evaluado en Brasil con miras a subsidiar su implementación como política pública nacional. El objetivo del estudio fue evaluar el proceso de implementación del programa escolar #Tamojunto2.0, difundido por el Ministerio de Salud, en la prevención del consumo de drogas en adolescentes. Es un estudio de métodos mixtos. La muestra se constituyó de 13 maestros y ocho directores de clases del 8º grado de Enseñanza Fundamental en escuelas públicas de dos ciudades, y un profesional provedor de capacitación para la aplicación del programa. Se utilizaron formularios de observación, evaluación y entrevista semiestructurada. Los datos se sometieron a análisis descriptivo y temático. Los resultados indican baja fidelidad en la implementación, buena calidad en la aplicación del programa, alto ausentismo estudiantil. También se presentan aspectos que facilitan o dificultan la implementación del programa. Estos resultados son relevantes para la implementación a gran escala de #Tamojunto2.0.

ABSTRACT Objective to analyze the predictive factors for the aggravation of chronic wounds. Methods quantitative, cross-sectional study, whose collection was performed using the Bates-Jensen Wound Assessment Tool. For data analysis, the independent t test, analysis of variance and multiple linear regressions were applied. The level of significance adopted was 0.05. Results in the bivariate analysis, it was observed that the variables making use of tobacco (p=0.005), presenting food restriction (p=0.001), signs of infection (p=0.005), odor characteristics (p<0.001) and evaluation pain (p=0.012) contributed to the worsening of chronic wounds. Conclusion it was found as predictors for the worsening of wounds: using tobacco, having food restriction of the hypo sodium or hypoglycemic type, in addition to presenting edema in the surrounding area, as a sign of infection.

RESUMO Objetivo analisar os fatores preditores ao agravamento de feridas crônicas. Metódos estudo quantitativo, transversal, cuja coleta foi realizada por meio do instrumento Bates-Jensen Wound Assessment Tool. Para análise dos dados, aplicaram-se o teste t independente, a análise de variância e a regressão linear múltipla. O nível de significância adotado foi 0,05. Resultados na análise bivariada, observou-se que as variáveis fazer uso de tabaco (p=0,005), apresentar restrição alimentar (p=0,001), sinais de infecção (p=0,005), características do odor (p<0,001) e avaliação da dor (p=0,012) contribuíram para o agravamento das feridas crônicas. Conclusão constatou-se como preditores para o agravamento de feridas: fazer uso de tabaco, possuir restrição alimentar do tipo hipossódica ou hipoglicemiante, além de apresentar edema na área perilesional, como sinal de infecção.

Abstract Squamous cell carcinoma of the oral cavity and oropharynx is the sixth most common type of cancer in the world. During tumorigenesis, gene promoter hypermethylation is considered an important mechanism of transcription silencing of tumor suppressor genes, such as DAPK, MGMT and RUNX3. These genes participate in signaling pathways related to apoptosis, DNA repair and proliferation whose loss of expression is possibly associated with cancer development and progression. In order to investigate associations between hypermethylation and clinicopathological and prognostic parameters, promoter methylation was evaluated in 72 HPV negative oral and oropharyngeal tumors using methylation-specific PCR. Hypermethylation frequencies found for DAPK, MGMT and RUNX3 were 38.88%, 19.44% and 1.38% respectively. Patients with MGMT hypermethylation had a better 2-year overall survival compared to patients without methylation. Being MGMT a repair gene for alkylating agents, it could be a biomarker of treatment response for patients who are candidates for cisplatin chemotherapy, predicting drug resistance. In view of the considerable levels of hypermethylation in cancer cells and, for MGMT, its prognostic relevance, DAPK and MGMT show potential as epigenetic markers, in a way that additional studies may test its viability and efficacy in clinical management.

Resumo A presente pesquisa objetivou fazer a caracterização física, química, microbiológica e sensorial de geleias de manipuçá (Mouriri cesrensis Huber) como uma alternativa para a merenda escolar do Ensino Fundamental das escolas públicas municipais de Fortaleza-CE. Os frutos, nos estádios 4 (maduro) e 5 (senescente) de maturação, foram colhidos no Jardim Botânico de São Gonçalo, em São Gonçalo do Amarante–CE. Inicialmente, os frutos do manipuçá foram processados e, para obtenção de geleia, foram propostas cinco formulações (tratamentos), contendo diferentes proporções de água e polpa (4:1-F1; 4:2-F2; 4:3-F3 4:4-F4; e 4:5-F5), que em seguida foram submetidas às análises físico-químicas (sólidos solúveis totais- SST; acidez total titulável-ATT; pH; relação SST/ATT-RSA; vitamina C-VC; açúcares solúveis totais-AST, redutores-AR e não redutores-ANR), microbiológica (coliformes a 35ºC-CF) e sensoriais (aroma-A; cor-C; aparência-AP; sabor-S; textura-T; e intenção de compra-IC). Utilizou-se o programa Assistat nas análises estatísticas. Os resultados apresentaram a seguinte variação nas cinco formulações: SST (°Brix) – 72 (F1) a 85,12 (F5); ATT (%) – 0,95 (F1) a 0,54 (F5); pH – 4,09 (F1) a 4,30 (F5); RSA – 75,22 (F1) a 156,20 (F5); VC (mg/100 g) - 7,40 (F2) a 14,19 (F5); AST (%) - 63,97 (F1) a 79,73 (F5); AR (%) - 44,53 (F2) a 66,98 (F5); ANR (%) - 12,47 (F1) a 32,98 (F4); ausência de CF; para A, C, AP, S e T, a F5 foi superior a F2, F3, F4 e igual a F1; e para IC a F5 foi superior a todas. Conclui-se que: a F5 é a mais doce e menos ácida; entretanto, a F1 é a menos doce e mais ácida; a F5 obteve maior aceitação entre os estudantes, portanto esta é a formulação ideal para ser utilizada como alternativa na merenda escolar dos alunos de Ensino Fundamental das escolas municipais de Fortaleza-CE.

Abstract This research aimed to characterize the physical, chemical, microbiological and sensory characterization of manipuçá (Mouriri cearensis Huber) jellies as an alternative to school meals of an elementary public school in Fortaleza-CE. The fruits, in maturation stages 4 (mature) and 5 (senescent), were collected in the Botanical Garden of São Gonçalo, in São Gonçalo do Amarante-CE. Initially, the fruits of manipuça were processed and to obtain the jelly five formulations were proposed (treatments) containing different proportions of water and pulp (4:1-F1; 4:2-F2, 4:3-F3: 4:4-F4; and 4:5-F5), which then they were subjected to physicochemical analysis (total soluble solids-TSS; total titratable acidity-TTA; pH; TSS/TTA ratio-SAR; vitamin C-CV; total soluble sugar-TSSu, reducing sugar-RS and non-reducing sugars-NRS), microbiological (coliforms at 35°C-CF) and sensory (aroma-A; color-C; appearance-AP; flavor-F; texture-T; and the purchaser intends-PI). We used the Assistat program in statistical analyzes. The results showed the following variation in the five formulations: TSS (°Brix) - 72 (F1) to 85.12 (F5); TTA (%) - 0.95 (F1) to 0.54 (F5); pH - 4.09 (F1) to 4.30 (F5); SAR - 75.22 (F1) to 156.20 (F5); CV (mg / 100g) - 7.40 (F2) to 14.19 (F5); TS (%) - 63.97 (F1) to 79.73 (F5); RS (%) - 44.53 (F2) to 66.98 (F5); NRS (%) - 12.47 (F1) to 32.98 (F4); absence of CF; for A, C, AP, F and T, F5 was greater than F2, F3, F4 and equals to F1; and for PI, F5 was superior to all. In conclusion: the F5 is sweeter and less acidic, however, the F1 is less sweet and more acidic; the F5 obtained greater acceptance among students, so this is the ideal formulation to use as an alternative to school meals for primary school students from public schools in Fortaleza-CE.

RESUMO Objetivo Investigar e mensurar os efeitos da eletroestimulação na musculatura orofacial e nas funções de mastigação, respiração e deglutição dos indivíduos com síndrome de Down. Método Participaram da pesquisa 16 indivíduos com Síndrome de Down, sendo seis do gênero masculino e dez do gênero feminino com idade entre 9 e 25 anos, participantes de um projeto de extensão institucional. Foram realizadas avaliações fonoaudiológicas com uso do protocolo AMIOFE antes e após a intervenção, que consistiu em oito sessões de eletroestimulação semanais. A corrente utilizada foi a Functional Electrical Estimulation (FES), com uma frequência de 10Hz no aquecimento e 30 Hz na aplicação, em um tempo ON de 5s e OFF de 10s comuns nas duas etapas, e com a largura de pulso de 200(µs) no aquecimento e 250(µs) na aplicação. Resultados Observaram-se diferenças significativas após aplicação da eletroestimulação (FES) em relação ao aspecto das bochechas quando comparadas flacidez/arqueamento pré e pós o estímulo elétrico, diferenças na mobilidade de língua (lateralidade direita e esquerda), no comportamento da musculatura na execução das funções estomatognáticas de respiração, melhoria no comportamento dos lábios durante a deglutição e mudanças expressivas no processo de mastigação (mordida e trituração). Conclusão Foi identificado estatisticamente que houve efeito após a eletroestimulação associada ao treino mastigatório nos músculos masseteres, com ganhos funcionais na execução da mastigação, respiração e deglutição, em pessoas com Síndrome de Down.

ABSTRACT Purpose Investigate and measure the effects of electrostimulation on the orofacial musculature and on the chewing, breathing and swallowing functions of individuals with Down syndrome. Methods Study participants were 16 individuals with Down syndrome (six males and 10 females) from an institutional extension project aged nine to 25 years. Speech-language pathology assessment was performed using the protocol of Orofacial Myofunctional Evaluation with Scores (OMES) pre- and post-intervention. This protocol comprised eight weekly electrostimulation sessions. Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) current was used at a frequency of 10Hz in warm-up and 30Hz in application, intermittent stimulation (cycling pulses) with ON-time of 5s and OFF-time of 10s common to both stages, and pulse width of 200μs in warm-up and 250μs in application. Results Significant differences were observed between pre- and post-application of FES regarding cheek appearance (flaccidity and arching), tongue mobility (right and left laterality), and musculature behavior during performance of functions of the stomatognathic system: respiration, deglutition (lip behavior), and mastication (bite and trituration). Conclusion Effects of electrostimulation associated with masticatory training of the masseter muscles were statistically identified, with functional gains in chewing, breathing and swallowing performance in individuals with Down syndrome.

Resumo Formas não hegemônicas de produção musical têm surgido em regiões periféricas do Brasil, como é o caso do lambadão, no estado de Mato Grosso. O lambadão é produto de camadas populares que, sem esperar por reconhecimento da indústria cultural, mas em diálogo com ela, lançam mão de artifícios próprios para fazer sua música ecoar. O objetivo do artigo é analisar os modos como se articula e se projeta o lambadão nas periferias de Cuiabá e Várzea Grande. A gravação de CDs ao vivo ou em estúdios caseiros e a reprodução e venda dos discos por camelôs são dinâmicas acionadas para produzir e divulgar esse gênero musical. Longe de serem meras respostas a uma situação de precariedade e marginalidade no campo da produção cultural, essas dinâmicas se revelam como práticas criativas que atendem a sistemas de valores diferenciados.

Abstract Non hegemonic forms of musical production have appeared in peripheral regions of Brazil, such as the lambadão genre in the Mato Grosso state. Lambadão is a product of the lower classes that, without expecting recognition from the cultural industry, but in dialog with it, use their own devices to have their music be heard. The objective of this article is to analyze how lambadão is articulated and projected in the peripheries of Cuiabá and Várzea Grande. The recording of CDs at live performances or in home studios and the reproduction and sale of the recordings by street vendors are dynamic processes used to produce and promote this musical genre. Far from being mere responses to a situation of precariousness and marginality in the field of cultural production, these processes are creative practices that attend to differentiated value systems.

RESUMO JUSTIFICATIVA E OBJETIVOS: A dor pode gerar importantes complicações para o recém-nascido. A mãe, inserida nesse contexto, torna-se uma aliada importante durante a hospitalização, por permanecer ao lado do filho. Dessa forma, o estudo teve como objetivo identificar a percepção da mãe em relação a dor no seu filho hospitalizado na Unidade de Terapia Intensiva Neonatal e comparar o relato das mães com uma escala de sinais comportamentais e fisiológicas. MÉTODOS: Trata-se de um estudo qualitativo, em um hospital terciário do Estado do Ceará. Participaram do estudo 15 mães que estavam com seus filhos hospitalizados na Unidade de Terapia Intensiva Neonatal, onde foram colocadas frente aos seus filhos em dois momentos distintos: em repouso e ao manuseio, com o intuito de identificar sinais de dor. Os dados foram analisados por aproximação das falas, proposto por Minayo. RESULTADOS: Os resultados apontaram que as mães não perceberam a presença dos sinais de dor no recém-nascido em repouso. No entanto, quando manuseados, as mães foram capazes de identificar os sinais de dor através das características apresentadas nos recém-nascidos: expressão facial, choro forte e a movimentação de braços e pernas. CONCLUSÃO: As mães são capazes de identificar os sinais de dor apresentados pelo filho durante os procedimentos dolorosos, principalmente através do choro e das alterações de face. Assim fica apontada a relevância do uso de escalas de avaliação da dor para mensurar sinais comportamentais e fisiológicos dos recém-nascidos em Unidade de Terapia Intensiva Neonatal.

ABSTRACT BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Pain can generate important complications for the newborn. The mother, inserted in this context, becomes an important ally during the hospitalization since she stays with the. Thus, the study aimed to identify the mother's perception of pain in her hospitalized child in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and to compare the mothers' reports with a range of behavioral and physiological signs. METHODS: This is a qualitative study in a tertiary hospital in the State of Ceará. Fifteen mothers who were with their children hospitalized at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit participated in the study, where they were placed in front of their children in two different moments: at rest and handling, in order to identify signs of pain. The data were analyzed by approximation of the speeches as proposed by Minayo. RESULTS: The results showed that the mothers did not perceive signs of pain in the newborn at rest. However, when handled, the mothers were able to identify the signs of pain through the characteristics presented in the newborn: facial expression, strong crying and the movement of arms and legs. CONCLUSION: Mothers are able to identify signs of pain in the child during painful procedures, mainly through crying and face changes. Thus, it points out the relevance of using pain evaluation scales to measure the behavioral and physiological signs of the newborn in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

O açaizeiro [Euterpe oleracea] é uma palmeira da Amazônia Oriental encontrada com mais freqüência no estuário do Rio Amazonas. Recentemente, ribeirinhos em diferentes regiões do estado do Amapá observaram uma espécie de coleóptero que ataca as inflorescências de açaízeiros. Com o objetivo de identificar exemplares de Coleoptera em inflorescências de E. oleracea no estado do Amapá, Brasil, foram coletados 13 indivíduos nas localidades de Abacate da Pedreira (dois exemplares), Ariri (seis)(ambas em Macapá) e no município de Mazagão (cinco), entre outubro de 2010 e fevereiro de 2011. Os coleópteros foram coletados diretamente nas inflorescências de açaizeiros com auxílio de rede entomológica, conservados e enviados para identificação. Todos os indivíduos pertencem à espécie Macraspis pseudochrysis Landin, 1956 (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Rutelinae). Este é o primeiro registro de ocorrência de M. pseudochrysis em E. oleracea na região neotropical.

The açaí palm (Euterpe oleracea) is an East Amazon palm found most frequently in the Amazon River estuary. Riverside dwellers in different regions of the state of Amapá have recently been observing a species of coleopteran attacking the inflorescences of açai palms. With a view to identifying a species of coleopteran attacking inflorescences of E. oleracea in the Brazilian state of Amapá, insects were collected in the regions of Abacate da Pedreira (two individuals) and Ariri (six) in the city of Macapá. Five individuals were also collected in Mazagão. The insects were collected from açai palm inflorescences using entomological nets, then preserved and submitted for identification. They were identified as Macraspis pseudochrysis Landin, 1956 (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Rutelinae). This is the first occurrence of M. pseudochrysis in E. oleracea in the Neotropics.
