Abstract The present work describes the phytophysiognomies and inventories the remaining floristic diversity of the Brisas Environmental Protection Area, which is located on the coast of Sepetiba Bay in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, covering approximately 101 hectares. Three phytophysiognomies were identified and described, namely Restinga, the Lowland Dense Ombrophylous Forest and the Mangrove. Different types of vegetation can be recognized for Restinga, such as beaches and dunes, those located on sandy ridges, in this case represented by Low and High Restinga forests, and the vegetation associated with depressions, such as the Swampy Restinga and Swampy forest. The floristic survey identified 311 species, distributed in 231 genera and 86 families. Herbaceous plants represent 29.26% of the flora, followed by vines (27.75%), trees (27.33%), shrubs (14.46%) and epiphytes (4%). Restinga is home to 81% of the flora, followed by the Lowland Dense Ombrophylous Forest (28.30%) and the Mangrove (2.25%). The most representative families were Fabaceae (38 spp.), Euphorbiaceae (15 spp.), Asteraceae (14 spp.) and Sapindaceae (14 spp.). The area has low floristic similarity with other areas of the state of Rio de Janeiro, but it has a greater grouping with restingas from the state of Rio de Janeiro.

Resumo O presente trabalho descreve as fitofisionomias e inventaria a diversidade florística remanescente da Área de Proteção Ambiental das Brisas, que se localiza no litoral da Baía de Sepetiba, no estado do Rio de Janeiro, possuindo cerca de 101 hectares. Foram identificadas e descritas três fitofisionomias, a saber, Restinga, a mais predominante, a Floresta Ombrófila Densa de Terras Baixas e o Manguezal. Para a Restinga pode-se reconhecer diferentes tipos de vegetação, como a de Praias e Dunas, as situadas sobre Cordões Arenosos, neste caso representadas por Florestas Baixa e Alta de Restinga, e a vegetação associada às depressões, como o Brejo de Restinga e a Floresta Paludosa. O levantamento florístico identificou 311 espécies, distribuídas em 231 gêneros e 86 famílias. As plantas herbáceas representam 29,26% da flora, seguido das trepadeiras (27,75%), arbóreas (27,33%), arbustivas (14,46%) e epífitas (4%). A Restinga abriga 81% da flora, seguida pela Floresta Ombrófila Densa de Terras Baixas (28,30%) e o Manguezal (2,25%). As famílias mais representativas foram Fabaceae (38 spp.), Euphorbiaceae (15 spp.), Asteraceae (14 spp.), Sapindaceae (14 spp.) e Malvaceae (13 spp). A área tem baixa similaridade florística com outras áreas do estado do Rio de Janeiro, porém apresenta maior agrupamento com restingas fluminenses.

Abstract Over the last three decades, stroke care has undergone significant transformations mainly driven by the introduction of reperfusion therapy and the organization of systems of care. Patients receiving treatment through a well-structured stroke service have a much higher chance of favorable outcomes, thereby decreasing both disability and mortality. In this article, we reviewed the scientific evidence for stroke reperfusion therapy, including thrombolysis and thrombectomy, and its implementation in the public health system in Brazil.

Resumo Nas últimas três décadas, o tratamento do AVC sofreu transformações significativas, impulsionadas principalmente pela introdução das terapias de reperfusão e pela organização dos serviços de AVC. Os pacientes que recebem tratamento em um serviço de AVC bem estruturado têm uma probabilidade muito maior de resultados favoráveis, diminuindo assim a incapacidade funcional e a mortalidade. Neste artigo, revisamos as evidências científicas para as terapias de reperfusão do AVC, incluindo trombólise e trombectomia e sua implementação no sistema público de saúde no Brasil.

ABSTRACT BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Fibromyalgia is a clinical condition that presents generalized and chronic musculoskeletal pain. With the COVID-19 pandemic, factors such as social distancing and a reduction in the search for and supply of care for chronic diseases may have contributed to worsening the quality of life (QoL) of people with fibromyalgia. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between access to health care and the QoL of women with fibromyalgia during the COVID-19 pandemic. METHODS: This was a descriptive cross-sectional observational study of 30 women diagnosed with fibromyalgia, with a mean age of 56.3±10.4 years, who took part in group therapy promoted by the Fibro Dance (Dança Fibro) extension project at the Trairi Health Science Faculty of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (Faculdade de Ciência da Saúde do Trairi da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte - FACISA/ UFRN). QoL was evaluated using the Short Form 36 Health Survey (SF-36) and access to health care was investigated using a questionnaire developed by the researchers, which also included sociodemographic questions and questions about health conditions. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data. The Shapiro-Wilk normality test was used to check the distribution of the data, and the t-test was used to compare the means of the variables with normally distributed data, while the Mann-Whitney non-parametric test was used for the variables without normal distribution. A 5% significance level was adopted for the inferential analysis. RESULTS: 66.7% of the participants received care in primary care, while 36.7% and 26.7% received care in specialized care and hospitals, respectively. As for QoL, the domains that showed the greatest impairment, with the lowest mean score, were limitation of physical aspects (9.2; 95%CI: 1.6; 16.7), limitation of emotional aspects (11.1; 95%CI: 0.6; 21.6), pain (29.9; 95%CI: 23.9;35.8), general state of health (35.8; 95%CI: 32.2; 39.4) and vitality (38.7; 95%CI: 31.9; 45.4). In the inferential analysis, there was no statistically significant difference in QoL between the group of women who received primary care or hospital care compared to the group who did not receive care at these levels (p > 0.05). On the other hand, there were statistically significant differences when the comparison was analyzed in specialized care. In the functional capacity domain (p = 0.005), the average score for the group that received specialized care was higher than the score for the group that did not, 38.2 and 24.2, respectively. For the social aspects domain (p = 0.045), the average score was 54.5 for those who received care and 37.5 for the group who did not receive care at the level of care in question. CONCLUSION: This study concluded that access to specialized care during the COVID-19 pandemic contributed to women with fibromyalgia showing better results in QoL domains such as functional capacity and social aspects.

RESUMO JUSTIFICATIVA E OBJETIVOS: A fibromialgia é uma condição clínica que apresenta dor musculoesquelética generalizada e crônica. Com a pandemia da COVID-19, fatores como distanciamento social e redução na busca e oferta por cuidados para as doenças crônicas podem ter contribuído para piorar a qualidade de vida (QV) das pessoas com fibromialgia. O objetivo deste estudo foi investigar a relação entre o acesso aos níveis de atenção à saúde e a QV de mulheres com fibromialgia durante a pandemia da COVID-19. MÉTODOS: Trata-se de um estudo observacional transversal descritivo com 30 mulheres diagnosticadas com fibromialgia, apresentando média de idade de 56,3±10,4 anos, que participaram da terapia em grupo promovida pelo projeto de extensão Dança Fibro, da Faculdade de Ciência da Saúde do Trairi da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (FACISA/UFRN). A QV foi avaliada usando o Short Form 36 Health Survey (SF-36) e o acesso aos níveis de atenção à saúde foi investigado por meio de um questionário desenvolvido pelos pesquisadores, que também contemplou questões sociodemográficas e sobre condições de saúde. Para a análise de dados, foram usadas a estatística descritiva e a inferencial, sendo aplicado o teste de normalidade de Shapiro-Wilk para verificação da distribuição dos dados, e o teste t para comparar as médias das variáveis que apresentaram os dados normalmente distribuídos, enquanto que para as variáveis que não apresentaram distribuição normal, foi utilizado o teste não paramétrico de Mann-Whitney. Na análise inferencial, foi adotado um nível de significância de 5%. RESULTADOS: Foi observado que 66,7% das participantes receberam cuidados na atenção básica, enquanto que 36,7% e 26,7% foram assistidas na atenção especializada e hospitalar, respectivamente. No que diz respeito à QV, os domínios que apresentaram maior comprometimento, com menor escore médio, foram limitação dos aspectos físicos (9,2; IC95%: 1,6; 16,7), limitação dos aspectos emocionais (11,1; IC95%: 0,6; 21,6), dor (29,9; IC95%: 23,9;35,8), estado geral de saúde (35,8; IC95%: 32,2; 39,4) e vitalidade (38,7; IC95%: 31,9; 45,4). Na análise inferencial, não foi observada diferença estatisticamente significativa na QV entre o grupo de mulheres que foram assistidas na atenção básica ou na atenção hospitalar em comparação com o grupo que não recebeu assistência nestes níveis de atenção (p > 0,05). Em contrapartida, constatou-se diferenças estatisticamente significativas quando a comparação foi analisada no âmbito da atenção especializada. No domínio capacidade funcional (p = 0,005), o escore médio para o grupo que recebeu cuidados na atenção especializada foi superior ao escore do grupo que não recebeu, 38,2 e 24,2, respectivamente. Para o domínio aspectos sociais (p = 0,045), o escore médio foi de 54,5 para aquelas que foram assistidas e de 37,5 para o grupo que não recebeu assistência no nível de atenção em questão. CONCLUSÃO: Este estudo concluiu que o acesso à atenção especializada durante a pandemia da COVID-19 contribuiu para que as mulheres com fibromialgia apresentassem melhores resultados nos domínios da QV, tais como capacidade funcional e aspectos sociais.

Abstract Obesity is an increasing public health issue around the world. Lifestyle counselling is one of the core competencies of family doctors and can contribute to the prevention, control, and counteract of chronic disease complications. The paucity of resources in primary care practices makes an adequate response challenging. Therefore, a group of health professionals from a primary care public Family Health Unit managed to implement a lifestyle change (LC) consultation. Our aim was to have a positive impact on our patient’s health, as a result of patients’ lifestyle improvement. Our aim is to describe the project; analyse its’ local implementation and contribute to facilitating LC consultations’ implementation in other primary care settings. LC consultations intend a structured approach to unhealthy lifestyles, aiming to decrease excess weight and obesity prevalence and therefore decrease noncommunicable disease incidence in the mid-term and long term. This sort of intervention, carried out by trained professionals applying motivational interview techniques makes it possible to individualize and intensify the intervention, which could improve behaviour change success rate. In the future, it would be important to replicate the project.

Resumo A obesidade constitui um dos principais problemas de saúde pública no mundo. O aconselhamento para a mudança de estilos de vida é uma competência fundamental dos médicos de família (MF) e pode contribuir para a prevenção, controlo e redução do risco de complicações de doenças crónicas. A falta de recursos face às necessidades dificultam uma abordagem concertada. Neste sentido, um grupo de profissionais de cuidados de saúde primários organizou-se para implementar uma consulta dedicada a modificação de estilos de vida (MEV), visando um impacto positivo na saúde da sua população. No presente artigo descreve-se o projeto e a sua operacionalização. A consulta de MEV pretende, de forma estruturada, intervir no controlo e alteração de estilos de vida prejudiciais à saúde dos utentes, com o objetivo de reduzir a prevalência do excesso de peso e obesidade na população e, consequentemente, reduzir a incidência de doenças ligadas ao estilo de vida a médio e longo prazo. Este tipo de intervenção, realizada por profissionais treinados, permite individualizar e intensificar a intervenção com recurso a técnicas de entrevista motivacional, o que pode aumentar a taxa de sucesso da mudança comportamental. No futuro seria proveitoso replicar o projeto, estabelecendo novos polos de consulta.

The present research is constructed from ethnographic reflections developed in the study of the Square of a peripheral neighborhood in Mossoró, in Rio Grande do Norte. Sometimes defined as Praça das Malvinas and sometimes as Praça do Nova Vida, it goes through Disputes and Appropriations for its use and the priority in this public place that is polluted by the marks of Territorial Stigmatization (WACQUANT, 2017) that fall on the neighborhood, influencing in the legitimate and illegitimate public facades (GOFFMAN, 2011) that appear in the Square, creating boundaries and moral hierarchies constantly monitored by the Public Power. Establishing, then, a liminal social game in the Public Place, presented in several ethnographic cases. This is a specific excerpt from a multi-tool ethnographic work - which walked visually, virtually and in the materiality of the square - which was carried out based on the following problem question: what are the everyday and extraordinary social uses carried out in Praça do Nova Vida/ Malvinas? Through methodological choices, the square was mapped, being complexified by the continuous interaction in the existence of this public place, forming the following moral and emotional places: the sports court, the O Luizão field and the corridor. As a result, it was realized that the definitions of the place and the hierarchies and moral boundaries depend on an interactional and procedural arrangement that varies according to the strategies of approach and distance between users and the actions of public agents

O trabalho que agora se apresenta é construído a partir das reflexões etnográficas desenvolvidas no estudo da Praça de um bairro periférico em Mossoró, no Rio Grande do Norte. Ora definida enquanto Praça das Malvinas e ora enquanto Praça do Nova Vida, ela passa por Disputas e Apropriações para o seu uso e a prioridade nesse lugar público que é poluído pelas marcas da Estigmatização Territorial (WACQUANT, 2017) que recai sobre o bairro, influenciando nas fachadas públicas (GOFFMAN, 2011) legítimas e ilegítimas que se apresentam na Praça, criando fronteiras e posições morais monitoradas constantemente pelo Poder Público. Estabelecendo, então, um jogo social liminar no Lugar Público, apresentado em diversos casos etnográficos.Trata-se de um recorte específico de um trabalho etnográfico multiferramental – que caminhou visualmente, virtualmente e na materialidade da praça - que foi realizado a partir da seguinte pergunta: quais os usos sociais, cotidianos, e extraordinários, realizados na Praça do Nova Vida/ Malvinas? Por escolhas metodológicas cartografou-se a praça, sendo complexificada pela interação contínua na existência desse lugar público, formando os seguintes lugares morais e emotivos: a quadra poliesportiva, o campo O Luizão e o corredor. Como resultado, vemos que as definições de lugar e as diretrizes e fronteiras morais dependem de um arranjo interacional e processual que varia conforme as estratégias de aproximação e afastamento entre os usuários e a atuação dos agentes públicos.realizado na Praça do Nova Vida/Malvinas? This article is a suggestion of gamified practice, derived from previous articles which explored the difficulties of students with the content of Physical Indexes, the history of games, gamification as a methodological alternative and the elaboration of a script for the creation of games. Thus, with the bibliographic reference previously explored, it culminated in a methodology for the application of the content through a gamified practice. In this way, the methodology used was the use of a script for the creation of games, followed by the creation of a script for the application of gamified practices in which qualitative research was used through the use of forms and interpretation of the players' speeches, to arrive at discussions of such a gamified practice. Due to the pandemic, the game was adapted for use in part online. The results and discussions discuss the creative processes that guided the creation of the game (pedagogical need, type of game, genre, levels, goal, dynamics, mechanics, elements, scoring and rewards) and the report of its application within the teaching process and learning with the alternatives created for the distance model and its application, in part, in person. After the application, the players' responses are collected, and a discussion of the results is held. In the end, the conclusions showed the potential of gamified practice, as a complement to traditional classes, motivating and engaging students in an alternative and playful way, motivating students to want to learn.

Este artículo es una sugerencia de práctica gamificada, derivada de artículos anteriores que exploraron las dificultades de los estudiantes con el contenido de Índices Físicos, la historia de los juegos, la gamificación como alternativa metodológica y la elaboración de un guía para la creación de juegos. Así, con la referencia bibliográfica previamente explorada, culminó en una metodología de aplicación de los contenidos a través de una práctica gamificada. De esta forma, la metodología utilizada fue el uso de un guía para la creación de juegos, seguido de la creación de un guía para la aplicación de prácticas gamificadas en el que se empleó una investigación cualitativa mediante el uso de formas e interpretación de los discursos de los jugadores, para llegar a discusiones de tal práctica gamificada. Debido a la pandemia, el juego se adaptó para su uso en parte en línea. Los resultados y discusiones discuten los procesos creativos que orientaron la creación del juego (necesidad pedagógica, tipo de juego, género, niveles, objetivo, dinámica, mecánica, elementos, puntuación y recompensas) y el relato de su aplicación en el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje con las alternativas creadas para el modelo a distancia y su aplicación, en parte, presencial. Después de la aplicación, se recopilan las respuestas de los jugadores y se lleva a cabo una discusión de los resultados. Al final, las conclusiones mostraron el potencial de la práctica gamificada, como complemento a las clases tradicionales, motivando e involucrando a los estudiantes de una manera alternativa y lúdica, motivando a los estudiantes a querer aprender.

O presente artigo é uma sugestão de prática gamificada, oriunda de artigos anteriores os quais foram exploradas as dificuldades dos alunos com o conteúdo de Índices Físicos, a história dos jogos, a gamificação como uma alternativa metodológica e a elaboração de um roteiro para a criação de jogos. Assim, com o referencial bibliográfico já previamente explorado, culminou-se em uma metodologia para a aplicação do conteúdo por meio de uma prática gamificada. Desta maneira, a metodologia utilizada foi a utilização de um roteiro para a criação de jogos, seguido pela criação de um roteiro para a aplicação das práticas gamificadas no qual se utilizaram de uma pesquisa qualitativa por meio da utilização de formulários e interpretação das falas dos jogadores, para se chegar às discussões de tal prática gamificada. Devido à pandemia, houve uma adaptação do jogo para a utilização em parte online. Nos resultados e discussões são discutidos os processos criativos que balizaram a criação do jogo (necessidade pedagógica, tipo de jogo, gênero, níveis, meta, dinâmica, mecânica, elementos, escore e recompensas) e o relato de sua aplicação dentro do processo de ensino e aprendizagem com as alternativas criadas para o modelo à distância e a sua aplicação, em parte, presencialmente. Após a aplicação são coletadas as respostas dos jogadores e feita uma discussão dos resultados. Ao fim, as conclusões mostraram a potencialidade da prática gamificada, como complemento às aulas tradicionais, motivando e engajado os alunos de forma alternativa e lúdica, motivando os alunos a quererem aprender.

Resumo Há anos, a Universidade da República (Uruguai) propõe trânsitos acadêmicos integrais que combinam ensino, pesquisa e extensão com perspectiva interdisciplinar e ancoragem territorial através da criação de Espaços de Formação Integral (EFI). Desde a graduação em Recursos Naturais na sede universitária em Rivera, busca-se construir um EFI com uma abordagem territorial no rio Negro e sua bacia hidrográfica, vinculado a atividades de pesquisa em interação com atores locais. Parte-se de 10 anos de experiências no mencionado território de interações entre as três funções que, embora pontuais e parciais, têm fortalecido a formação acadêmica e profissional e permitido uma abordagem mais completa sobre problemas territoriais complexos. Consolidar um EFI implicará integrar as funções de forma coerente e sustentada, oferecendo aos estudantes uma trajetória com objetivos de formação específicos e reconhecida curricularmente, em harmonia com os objetivos de formação do curso.

Resumen Desde hace años, la Universidad de la República, en Uruguay, ha propuesto tránsitos académicos integrales que combinen enseñanza, investigación y extensión con perspectiva interdisciplinaria y anclaje territorial a través de la creación de Espacios de Formación Integral. Desde la formación de grado sobre Recursos Naturales en la sede universitaria en Rivera, se busca construir un Espacio de Formación Integral con enfoque territorial en el río Negro y su cuenca hidrográfica en vinculación con actividades de investigación en interacción con actores locales. Se parte de 10 años de experiencias de interacciones entre las tres funciones que, aunque puntuales y parciales, han fortalecido la formación académica y profesional y permitido un abordaje más cabal sobre problemas territoriales complejos. Consolidar un Espacio de Formación Integral implica integrar las funciones de forma coherente y sostenida y ofrecer a los estudiantes una trayectoria con objetivos de formación específicos y reconocida curricularmente, en armonía con los objetivos de formación de la carrera.

Abstract For years, the University of the Republic, Uruguay, has proposed integral academic programs that combine teaching, research, and community engagement with an interdisciplinary perspective and territorial anchorage through the creation of Spaces for Integral Education. In the graduate program for Natural Resources at the University’s campus in Rivera, there is a search to construct an Space for Integral Education with a territorial focus on the Negro river, linked to research activities in interaction with local actors. The project builds on 10 years of experiences in the mentioned territory of interactions between the three functions which, although specific and partial, have strengthened academic and professional training and allowed for a more comprehensive approach to complex territorial problems. Consolidating an Space for Integral Education will involve integrating the functions coherently and sustainably, offering students a trajectory with specific training objectives and recognized curricular relevance, in harmony with the training objectives of the undergraduate program.

Resumo Objetivos analisar as percepções da população quilombola de Caldeirão sobre suas condições de saúde e identificar as possibilidades e dificuldades na relação com os serviços de saúde em seu território. Método estudo qualitativo, descritivo e exploratório, realizado na Comunidade Quilombola de Caldeirão, Ilha de Marajó, Pará, Brasil. A produção dos dados ocorreu no período de março a abril de 2021, por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas individuais com 30 moradores, e aplicou-se a análise de conteúdo temática. Resultados originaram-se duas categorias empíricas, revelando as percepções da população quilombola sobre suas condições de saúde e o processo saúde-doença, a relação que a comunidade mantinha com os serviços de saúde locais e as potencialidades e fragilidades inerentes a essa relação. Conclusões e implicações para a prática as percepções dos quilombolas evidenciaram predomínio do saber biomédico e da visão hospitalocêntrica, além de sua relação fragilizada com os serviços de saúde locais. Espera-se que os resultados da pesquisa suscitem o diálogo acerca dessas populações, considerando que representam um grupo tradicional em situação de vulnerabilidade. É necessário realizar outras pesquisas para investigar/fortalecer o papel da Estratégia Saúde da Família e desvelar/problematizar os saberes tradicionais, frente à hegemonia do saber biomédico, no cenário das populações quilombolas.

Abstract Objectives to analyze the perceptions of the Quilombola population of Caldeirão about their health conditions and to identify the possibilities and difficulties in the relationship with the health services in their territory. Method a qualitative, descriptive and exploratory study, carried out in the Quilombola Community from Caldeirão, Marajó Island, Pará, Brazil. Data production took place from March to April 2021, through individual semi-structured interviews with 30 residents, and thematic content analysis was applied. Results two empirical categories originated, revealing the Quilombola population’s perceptions about their health conditions and the health-disease process, the relationship that the community had with the local health services and the strengths and weaknesses inherent to this relationship. Conclusions and implications for practice Quilombola people’s perceptions showed a predominance of biomedical knowledge and a hospital-centric view, in addition to their weakened relationship with local health services. It is expected that the research results will encourage dialogue about these populations, considering that they represent a traditional group in a vulnerable situation. It is necessary to carry out further research to investigate/strengthen the Family Health Strategy role and unveil/problematize traditional knowledge in the face of biomedical knowledge hegemony in the scenario of Quilombola populations.

Resumen Objetivos analizar las percepciones de la población quilombola de Caldeirão sobre sus condiciones de salud e identificar las posibilidades y dificultades en la relación con los servicios de salud en su territorio. Método estudio cualitativo, descriptivo y exploratorio, realizado en la Comunidad Quilombola de Caldeirão, Isla de Marajó, Pará, Brasil. La producción de datos se llevó a cabo de marzo a abril de 2021, a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas individuales con 30 residentes, y se aplicó análisis de contenido temático. Resultados se originaron dos categorías empíricas, que revelaron las percepciones de la población quilombola sobre sus condiciones de salud y el proceso salud-enfermedad, la relación que tenía la comunidad con los servicios locales de salud y las fortalezas y debilidades inherentes a esa relación. Conclusiones e implicaciones para la práctica las percepciones de los quilombolas mostraron un predominio del conocimiento biomédico y una visión hospitalocéntrica, además de su debilitada relación con los servicios locales de salud. Se espera que los resultados de la investigación estimulen el diálogo sobre estas poblaciones, considerando que representan un grupo tradicional en situación de vulnerabilidad. Es necesario realizar más investigaciones para investigar/fortalecer el papel de la Estrategia de Salud de la Familia y develar/problematizar los saberes tradicionales frente a la hegemonía del saber biomédico, en el escenario de las poblaciones quilombolas.

ABSTRACT. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of different levels of dietary fiber on the performance and egg quality of laying hens at pre-laying and laying peak periods. The experimental period was divided into three periods: pre-laying (16 to 19 weeks of age), the start of laying (20 to 22 weeks of age) and laying peak (23 to 28 weeks of age). The experimental design was completely randomized with treatments constituted by five levels of fiber (2.00, 2.50, 3.00, 3.50, and 4.00%) in the diets, with five replicates (pens) of six birds each, totalling 180 hens. Performance and egg quality results were evaluated by polynomial regression at 5%. Fiber levels were not influenced (p >0.05) the first laying of the hens. However, levels above 2.50% of fiber provided worst (p <0.05) performance results, regardless of the period evaluated. Shortly after the start of laying, higher levels of fiber also caused a linear reduction (p <0.05) on egg weight and percentages of yolk and albumen, and an increase (p <0.05) on eggshells. Higher fiber levels caused a linear reduction (p <0.05) in the quality of the eggs, regardless of the period evaluated. It was concluded that the fiber levels did not influence the start period of the laying. Both pre-laying and start of the laying, levels above 2.5% of fiber caused a gradual worsening in performance. From the start of laying up to laying peak, levels above 2.5% of fiber also caused a gradual worsening in egg quality.

Abstract This work consists of a case study analysis of the upper basin of the Cuñapirú stream, located in the department of Rivera, in the area known as Puntas de Cuñapirú, identifying environmental problems and issues related to territorial transformations in the period 1990-2017. It aims to provide elements for understanding the processes of territorial transformations over a period of 27 years. The application of an environmental vulnerability model that integrates fragility and threat factors makes it possible to identify areas that are particularly sensitive to current and future impacts and facilitates the identification of critical interactions in the environmental system, generating inputs for decision-makers. The application of the model was able to identify spatially the areas with the highest rate of urban expansion, which in turn constitutes the main threat and generates the highest levels of vulnerability. It was also possible to recognise which natural assets interact with these changes in land use (environmental fragility). It is hoped that the results obtained will help to strengthen land-use planning and management capacities.

Resumen El presente trabajo consiste en un análisis de caso de la cuenca alta de la Arroyo Cuñapirú, ubicada en el departamento de Rivera, en la zona conocida como Puntas de Cuñapirú, identificando las problemáticas ambientales y las cuestiones vinculadas a las transformaciones del territorio, en el periodo 1990-2017. Tiene como objetivo aportar elementos para la comprensión de los procesos de trasformaciones territoriales en un periodo de 27 años. La aplicación de un modelo de vulnerabilidad ambiental que integra factores de fragilidad y amenaza permite identificar áreas que son particularmente sensibles a actuales y futuros impactos y facilita la identificación de interacciones críticas en el sistema ambiental, generando insumos para los tomadores de decisiones. La aplicación del modelo logró identificar en el espacio las zonas con mayor tasa de expansión urbana, la que a su vez constituye la principal amenaza y genera los mayores niveles de vulnerabilidad. También se logró reconocer cuales bienes de la naturaleza interactúan con esos cambios en el uso del suelo (fragilidad ambiental). Se espera que los resultados obtenidos colaboren a fortalecer las capacidades del ordenamiento y gestión territorial.

ABSTRACT The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of different levels of microencapsulated carvacrol and cinnamaldehyde on metabolizable energy, feed digestibility, intestinal morphometric analysis, and antioxidant parameters in broilers. A completely randomized design with five treatments and eight replications of eight broilers (Cobb male) was used, and collections were carried out at 20 and 42 days of age. Carvacrol and cinnamaldehyde concentrations (mg/kg) were: 0 (control), 50, 100, 150, and 200. Carvacrol and cinnamaldehyde improved apparent metabolizable energy but did not change protein and ether extract digestibility. Supplementation increased intestinal villus height and villi:crypt ratio; in which 100 mg/kg produced the greatest villus height. Serum uric acid levels were lower in birds receiving supplementation. Improvement in the activity of glutathione peroxidase and glutathione-S-transferase was observed, while lower uric acid, thiobarbituric acid reactive substances, and reactive oxygen species levels were observed. Microencapsulated carvacrol and cinnamaldehyde improve apparent metabolizable energy and can be administered in broiler feed without risk to the bird’s health. These supplements may serve as alternative products to aid the performance of commercial poultry.

Abstract Paper aims The Industry 4.0 movement highlights the importance of information and communication technologies and the two main reasons for this are advances in digitalization and automation. However, organizations trying to implement technologies face several barriers in their systems. These barriers are intensified in legacy systems, tightly coupled to organizational processes. Thus, to overcome these barriers, an adequacy strategy was structured, and detailed in the context of interoperability. Originality This article proposes a digital transformation framework focused on interoperability in maintenance systems. Research method Aiming to make legacy systems work together with cyber-physical systems, the proposed framework suggests its suitability based on strategic decisions, using Multicriteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods. Main findings The framework outputs demonstrate that people are the main drivers of digital transformation and that the strategies proposed by it are coherent with the actual development of both cases, proven in a new interview one year apart from its application. Implications for theory and practice Real industrial cases demonstrate that the framework can guarantee interoperability while facilitating strategic decisions to implement technologies in legacy maintenance systems. In the end, the legacy system, which will interoperate with the new technologies, is called Smart Legacy System.

Abstract Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1) is a rare cause of ischemic stroke (IS) in the general population. We report a case of a young patient with NF1 in whom IS was caused by fibromuscular dysplasia. An angiographic study demonstrated occlusion in the right internal carotid artery (ICA), just after its origin, and the left ICA, just before the intracranial portion, and brain magnetic resonance imaging showed the limits of an area of brain infarction in the right frontoparietal region. Despite these concomitant neuroimaging findings, this association is rare, and it is difficult to establish the contribution to the outcome made by each of these diseases, which treatment is the best to implement, or what prognosis is.

Resumo A neurofibromatose tipo 1 (NF1) é uma causa rara de acidente vascular cerebral isquêmico (AVCi) na população geral. Neste estudo, relatamos o caso de um paciente jovem com AVCi, com diagnóstico de NF1 associada a displasia fibromuscular. O estudo angiográfico demonstrou oclusão da carótida interna direita, logo após sua origem, e esquerda, antes da porção intracraniana. A ressonância magnética do encéfalo mostrou delimitação de um infarto na região frontoparietal direita. Apesar desses achados concomitantes na neuroimagem, essa associação é rara, sendo difícil de estabelecer a contribuição de cada uma dessas doenças no desfecho, tampouco qual o melhor tratamento a ser implementado e qual o prognóstico.

Abstract Cervical cancer is a leading cause of death among women. The endocervical adenocarcinoma (ECA) represents an aggressive and metastatic type of cancer with no effective treatment options currently available. We evaluated the antitumoral and anti-migratory effects of hypericin (HYP) encapsulated on Pluronic F127 (F127/HYP) photodynamic therapy (PDT) against a human cell line derived from invasive cervical adenocarcinoma (HeLa) compared to a human epithelial cell line (HaCaT). The phototoxicity and cytotoxicity of F127/HYP were evaluated by the following assays: colorimetric assay, MTT, cellular morphological changes by microscopy and long-term cytotoxicity by clonogenic assay. In addition, we performed fluorescence microscopy to analyze cell uptake and subcellular distribution of F127/HYP, cell death pathway and reactive oxygen species (ROS) production. The PDT mechanism was determined with sodium azide and D-mannitol and cell migration by wound-healing assay. The treatment with F127/HYP promoted a phototoxic result in the HeLa cells in a dose-dependent and selective form. Internalization of F127/HYP was observed mainly in the mitochondria, causing cell death by necrosis and ROS production especially by the type II PDT mechanism. Furthermore, F127/HYP reduced the long-term proliferation and migration capacity of HeLa cells. Overall, our results indicate a potentially application of F127/HYP micelles as a novel approach for PDT with HYP delivery to more specifically treat ECA.

Abstract Background Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) without obstructive coronary arteries (MINOCA) is a medical condition of great relevance, with clinical characteristics of AMI, but without evidence of coronary artery obstruction. The mechanism involved in the pathophysiology of the disease and its possible etiologies are important objects of study due to their impact on the morbidity and mortality of affected patients. Objectives The aim of this study was to systematically review MINOCA and its characteristics, with emphasis on the clinical profile of patients, etiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment of the syndrome. Methods Relevant articles related to MINOCA were analyzed in the PubMed and LILACS databases. In the initial search stage, 619 eligible articles were obtained, with final inclusion criteria being: original systematic reviews with clinical, epidemiological, diagnostic, or treatment data on MINOCA, published in Portuguese or English, with an abstract, and a publication date limit of September 2020. Results A total of 10 articles classified as systematic reviews that considered clinical data on MINOCA were included in this review. Conclusion After analyzing various literature, the present study provided a tool to better understand MINOCA, not only regarding its casuistry but also in grouping parameters and information that contribute to a healthy approach to this clinical situation. It was possible to identify and better outline the clinical profile of patients who presented this condition and the use of appropriate tools for correct diagnosis and ideal treatment.
