This article aims to establish a dialogical and dialectical theoretical movement regarding the considerations about the Theory of Developmental Learning in the Elkonin-Davidov-Repkin Didactic System, and the Theory of Study Activity and its contributions to the formation of the student as a subject of their activity in Developmental Learning. Produce dialogical movements of reflection and analysis, which advance propositions that promote the insertion of subjects and their sociocultural and material diversities in school spaces, while belonging and valuing their knowledge as potential for developmental learning. As well as, seek approaches to developmental learning and point out the theoretical contributions of this theory to learning in elementary education in Brazilian schools in basic education. Through theoretical readings and the information learned by the research, it is concluded that the apprehension of the human being and its historicity is understood not as a mere existence, but as a dialectical movement of transformation through practical activity mediated by cultural instruments and historically constituted scientific knowledge. This premise must enter the walls of the school, with effective forms of organization and guidance of the training processes of teachers, students and educational management, so that, supported by research in this area, we can rethink didactic-methodological practices based on Developmental Didactics, which help in promoting the personal and social transformation of students, their intellectual and emotional autonomy.

Este artículo tiene como objetivo establecer un movimiento teórico dialógico y dialéctico en torno a las consideraciones sobre la Teoría del Aprendizaje Desarrollador en el Sistema Didáctico Elkonin-Davidov-Repkin, y la Teoría de la Actividad de Estudio y sus aportes a la formación del estudiante como sujeto de su actividad en el Aprendizaje Desarrollador. Producir movimientos dialógicos de reflexión y análisis, que avancen propuestas que promuevan la inserción de los sujetos y sus diversidades socioculturales y materiales en los espacios escolares, al tiempo que pertenecen y valoran sus saberes como potencial para el aprendizaje desarrollador. Así como, buscar aproximaciones al aprendizaje desarrollador y señalar los aportes teóricos de esta teoría al aprendizaje en la educación básica en las escuelas brasileñas en educación básica. A través de las lecturas teóricas y la información aprendida por la investigación, se concluye que la aprehensión del ser humano y su historicidad se entiende no como una mera existencia, sino como un movimiento dialéctico de transformación a través de la actividad práctica mediada por instrumentos culturales y conocimiento científicos históricamente constituidos. Esta premisa debe traspasar los muros de la escuela, con formas efectivas de organización y orientación de los procesos de formación de docentes, estudiantes y gestión educativa, para que, apoyados en investigaciones en esta área, podamos repensar las prácticas didáctico-metodológicas basadas en la Didáctica del Desarrollo. , que ayudan a promover la transformación personal y social de los estudiantes, su autonomía intelectual y emocional.  

Esse artigo tem como finalidade estabelecer um movimento teórico dialógico e dialético acerca das considerações sobre Teoria da Aprendizagem Desenvolvimental no Sistema Didático Elkonin-Davidov-Repkin, e a Teoria da Atividade de Estudo e as suas contribuições para a formação do aluno como sujeito de sua atividade na Aprendizagem Desenvolvimental. Produzir movimentos dialógicos de reflexão e análise, que avancem por proposições que promovam a inserção dos sujeitos e suas diversidades socioculturais e materiais nos espaços escolares, enquanto pertencimento e valorização do seu conhecimento como potencialidade para uma aprendizagem desenvolvimenta. Bem como, buscar aproximações com a aprendizagem desenvolvimental e apontar as contribuições teóricas dessa teoria para a aprendizagem no ensino fundamental das escolas brasileiras na educação básica. Mediante leituras teóricas e as informações apreendidas pela pesquisa, conclui-se que a apreensão do ser humano e sua historicidade é compreendida não como mera existência, mas enquanto movimento dialético de transformação pela atividade prática mediada pelos instrumentos culturais e conhecimentos científicos historicamente constituídos. Essa premissa deve adentrar os muros da escola, com efetivas formas de organização e orientação dos processos formativos de professores, alunos e do gerenciamento educacional, para que, subsidiados pelas pesquisas nessa área, possamos repensar práticas didático-metodológicas pautadas na Didática Desenvolvimental, que auxiliem na promoção da transformação pessoal e social dos alunos, sua autonomia intelectual e emocional.

ABSTRACT Some native species of the Cerrado have great ecological and economic potential. An alternative that aims to contribute to the good performance of post-planting plants is the incorporation of biochar into the soil. The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of filter cake biochar as a soil conditioner and its influence on the growth and physiology of macaúba, araçá and cajuzinho do cerrado. The experiments were set up at Fazenda Hamilton de Abreu Navarro, Federal University of Minas Gerais, where the effect of four doses of filter cake biochar (1%, 2%, 4% and 8% v/v) and two treatments were evaluated. control: one with soil correction (7.5 g of GEOX) and mineral fertilization (380 g NPK 4:14:8 per plant) and the other without fertilization. To monitor the performance of the seedlings, evaluations were carried out at 30, 60 and 120 days after transplanting, the physiological parameters (photosynthesis, transpiration, stomatal conductance, CO2 consumed, internal carbon and electron transport rate), and morphological parameters (height and diameter), at 30, 60, 90 and 120 days after transplanting. At 120 days, the production of shoot, root and total dry biomass was evaluated. For macaúba, the application of biochar, at a dose of 2%, favored its photosynthesis. As for araçá, at 30 days after transplanting, the treatment without fertilization was better for most variables, however the treatments with biochar also had satisfactory results. The cajuzinho from the cerrado also responded positively to the application of biochar at all doses. The physiological and morphological variables responded well to treatments without fertilization and with application of biochar to the soil. Therefore, filter cake biochar can be indicated in the planting of the studied species, as well as the non-application of corrective and mineral fertilizer.

RESUMO O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o efeito do biochar de torta de filtro como condicionador de solo e sua influência no crescimento e na fisiologia de macaúba, araçá e cajuzinho do cerrado. Os experimentos foram montados na Fazenda Hamilton de Abreu Navarro da UFMG, onde foram avaliados o efeito de quatro doses de biochar de torta de filtro (1%, 2%, 4% e 8% v/v) e dois tratamentos controle: um com correção do solo e adubação mineral, e o outro sem adubação. Para acompanhar o desempenho das mudas, foram realizadas avaliações aos 30, 60 e 120 dias após o transplantio, dos parâmetros fisiológicos (fotossíntese, transpiração, condutância estomática, CO2 consumido, carbono interno e taxa de transporte de elétrons), e morfológicos (altura e diâmetro), aos 30, 60, 90 e 120 dias após o transplantio. Aos 120 dias, avaliou-se a produção de biomassa seca da parte aérea, de raízes e total. Para a macaúba, a aplicação de biochar, na dose de 2%, favoreceu a sua fotossíntese. Já para o araçá, aos 30 dias após o transplantio, o tratamento sem adubação foi melhor para a maioria das variáveis, entretanto os tratamentos com biochar também tiveram resultados satisfatórios. O cajuzinho do cerrado também respondeu positivamente à aplicação de biochar em todas as doses. As variáveis fisiológicas e morfológicas responderam bem aos tratamentos sem adubação e com aplicação de biochar ao solo. Portanto, o biochar de torta de filtro pode ser indicado no plantio das espécies estudadas, assim como a não aplicação de corretivo e fertilizante mineral.

Remote teaching was a new practice used as a strategy for the continuity of educational activities during the Covid-19 pandemic. It involved radical changes with impacts on teacher health. This study aimed to analyze the challenges encountered by teachers of the Private Teaching Network of the State of Bahia in the remote teaching modality and its impact on teacher health. The data originated from the research entitled “Teaching work and health in times of a pandemic (Covid-19)”, carried out through an online form, which contained an open subjective question that provided the opportunity to narrate experiences with emergency remote teaching. The empirical material was organized into the following thematic categories: the use of digital technologies in remote teaching; work intensification and professional devaluation; and repercussions on the health of teachers. It was found that the configuration of emergency remote teaching transformed the teachers' homes into spaces for pedagogical activities with improvised organization and working conditions, superimposed on domestic activities. There were reports of moral harassment practices and adverse health effects, such as burnout and psychic suffering, due to the pressure to meet educational demands. This included the need for rapid acquisition of knowledge and management of technological resources that demanded continuously, often without rest breaks, with significant damage to the teacher’s mental health.

La enseñanza remoto fue una nueva práctica utilizada como estrategia para la continuidad de las actividades educativas durante la pandemia del Covid-19. Implicó cambios radicales con impactos en la salud de los docentes. Este estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar los desafíos encontrados por los docentes de la Red Privada de Enseñanza del Estado de Bahía en la modalidad de enseñanza a distancia y su impacto en la salud de los docentes. Los datos se originaron a partir de la investigación titulada “Trabajo docente y salud en tiempos de pandemia (Covid-19)”, realizada a través de un formulario en línea, que contenía una pregunta subjetiva abierta que brindó la oportunidad de narrar experiencias con la docencia a distancia de emergencia. El material empírico se organizó en las siguientes categorías temáticas: el uso de tecnologías digitales en la enseñanza a distancia; intensificación del trabajo y desvalorización profesional; y repercusiones en la salud de los docentes. Se constató que la configuración de la teleenseñanza de emergencia transformó los domicilios de los docentes en espacios de actividades pedagógicas con organización y condiciones de trabajo improvisadas, superpuestas a las actividades domésticas. Hubo denuncias de prácticas de acoso moral y efectos adversos a la salud, como burnout y sufrimiento psíquico, debido a la presión por atender las demandas educativas. Esto incluía la necesidad de una rápida adquisición de conocimientos y manejo de recursos tecnológicos que exigían continuamente, muchas veces sin pausas de descanso, con daños significativos para la salud mental de los docentes.

O ensino remoto foi uma prática nova utilizada como estratégia para a continuidade das atividades educacionais durante a pandemia de Covid-19. Envolveu mudanças radicais com impactos na saúde docente. Este estudo objetivou analisar os desafios encontrados por docentes da Rede Privada de Ensino do Estado da Bahia na modalidade de ensino remoto e sua repercussão na saúde docente. Os dados originaram-se da pesquisa intitulada “Trabalho docente e saúde em tempos de pandemia (Covid-19)”, realizada por meio de formulário online, no qual constava uma questão subjetiva aberta que oportunizou a narrativa das experiências com o ensino remoto emergencial. O material empírico foi organizado nas seguintes categorias temáticas: o uso das tecnologias digitais no ensino remoto; a intensificação do trabalho e a desvalorização profissional; e repercussão na saúde dos docentes. Verificou-se que a configuração do ensino remoto emergencial transformou os domicílios das docentes em espaços de atividades pedagógicas com organização e condições de trabalho improvisadas e sobrepostas às atividades domésticas. Registraram-se relatos de práticas de assédio moral e efeitos adversos à saúde, como burnout e sofrimento psíquico, em função da pressão para corresponder às demandas educacionais. Isso incluiu a necessidade de aquisição rápida de conhecimentos e manejo de recursos tecnológicos que demandavam continuamente, muitas vezes sem pausas de descanso, com prejuízos significativos à saúde mental docente.

Abstract Objective To characterize the sociodemographic and clinical variables of people with intestinal stomas. Materials and Methods We conducted a cross-sectional study with 47 patients of a Specialized Rehabilitation Center (CER II/APAE) in the municipality of Três Lagoas, state of Mato Grosso do Sul, Midwestern Brazil, from December 2019 to June 2020. Data was analyzed using inferential descriptive statistics (Anderson-Darling, Chi-squared, and Mann-Whitney normality tests). Results Regarding the patients, 87.23% were from Três Lagoas, 51.06% were female, 40.43% were aged from 60 to 69 years, 59.57% were married, 53.19% were brown, 59.57% were catholic, 36.17% finished elementary school, 46.81% were retired, and 57.45% earned a monthly income below 1 minimum wage. Moreover, 61.70% had undergone terminal colostomy (61.70%), 61.70% had received guidance about its placing, 57.45% had it placed due to situations of urgency, 74.47% had a stoma installed due to a neoplasia, 38.30% were permanent, with 46.81% located in the inferior left quadrant (ILQ), 59.57% presented pasty effluent, 63.83% had a circular diameter, 53.19% had pouches with 2 pieces and 57.45%, with a flexible base, 87.23% had other adjunct equipment, and 95.74% had been trained in self-care. The most common complication was skin/peristomal irritant contact dermatitis (59,57%), and 65,95% of these cases were solved by teaching self-care. The type of stoma was significantly associated with the consistency of the effluent and the size of the protrusion (p> 0.05). Conclusion The results found can support strategies to implement practices to promote health, develop new public policies, to provide training in self-care, and prevent and treat complications.

Abstract In the last few decades, there have been considerable improvements in the diagnosis and care of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), the most common childhood muscular dystrophy. International guidelines have been published and recently reviewed. A group of Brazilian experts has developed a standard of care based on a literature review with evidence-based graded recommendations in a two-part publication. Implementing best practice management has helped change the natural history of this chronic progressive disorder, in which the life expectancy for children of the male sex in the past used to be very limited. Since the previous publication, diagnosis, steroid treatment, rehabilitation, and systemic care have gained more significant insights with new original work in certain fields. Furthermore, the development of new drugs is ongoing, and some interventions have been approved for use in certain countries. Therefore, we have identified the need to review the previous care recommendations for Brazilian patients with DMD. Our objective was to create an evidence-based document that is an update on our previous consensus on those topics.

Resumo Nas últimas décadas, houve progressos significativos no diagnóstico e no tratamento da distrofia muscular de Duchenne (DMD), considerada a distrofia muscular mais comum na infância. Diretrizes internacionais foram publicadas e revisadas recentemente. Um grupo de especialistas brasileiros desenvolveu um padrão de atendimento baseado em revisão de literatura, com recomendações graduadas pautadas em evidências compiladas em uma publicação dividida em duas partes. A implementação de melhores práticas de manejo ajudou a modificar a história natural desta doença crônica, progressiva, que, no passado, oferecia uma expectativa de vida muito limitada para crianças do sexo masculino. Desde a publicação desse consenso anterior, o diagnóstico, o tratamento com esteroides, a reabilitação e os cuidados sistêmicos ganharam novas possibilidades a partir da divulgação dos resultados de trabalhos originais em algumas dessas áreas. Além disso, as pesquisas e o desenvolvimento de novos fármacos estão em andamento, e algumas intervenções já foram aprovadas para uso em determinados países. Nesse contexto, identificamos a necessidade de rever as recomendações anteriores sobre o manejo dos pacientes brasileiros com DMD. Nosso objetivo principal foi elaborar uma atualização baseada em evidências sobre esses tópicos do consenso.

RESUMO: O coco é uma fruta cultivada em mais de 80 países e devido ao seu excelente valor nutricional e biológico é uma importante cultura para a indústria alimentícia. Assim, desenvolver novos produtos à base de coco é atrativo para explorar os benefícios proporcionados por microrganismos e melhorar a composição nutricional e bioativa de produtos de coco, como na preparação de bebidas fermentadas. Este estudo desenvolveu e caracterizou uma bebida à base de coco seco com o prebiótico frutooligossacarídeo, fermentada pelo probiótico Lactobacillus casei. A bebida foi formulada, filtrada, fermentada, maturada e armazenada sob refrigeração (4 °C) por 28 dias; além de avaliada em relação às suas características físicas, químicas, antioxidantes e microbiológicas. Quando comparada à amostra padrão não-fermentada ao longo do armazenamento, a bebida fermentada apresentou variações significativas (P < 0.05) para cor instrumental, acidez e pH, enquanto as alterações para sólidos solúveis e índice de estabilidade foram observadas a partir do 7° dia de armazenamento. Em relação à composição química, todos os parâmetros variaram significativamente após o processo fermentativo. O teor de compostos fenólicos totais e capacidade antioxidante aumentaram significativamente após a fermentação. Reduções significativas foram observadas (P < 0,05) na viabilidade do Lactobacillus casei após a exposição às condições do trato gastrointestinal, com as seguintes contagens (em UFC mL-1) após 0 e 28 dias de armazenamento: - inicial: 9,23 ± 0.04 e 9,05 ± 0,12; após a fase gástrica: 6,21 ± 0,09 e 5,90 ± 0,01; e após a fase intestinal: 4,59 ± 0,33 e 4,75 ± 0,23, respectivamente.

Thus, developing new coconut-based products is attractive to explore the benefits provided by microorganisms and improve the nutritional and bioactive composition of coconut products, such as by preparing fermented beverages. This study developed and characterize a drink based on dry coconut with the prebiotic fructooligosaccharide fermented by the probiotic Lactobacillus casei. The drink was formulated, filtered, fermented, matured, and stored under refrigeration (4 °C) for 28 days; it was evaluated for its physical, chemical, antioxidant, and microbiological characteristics. Compared to the standard non-fermented sample during storage, the fermented drink showed significant variations (P < 0.05) in instrumental color, acidity, and pH, while changes in soluble solids and stability index were observed after 7 days of storage. Regarding the chemical composition, all parameters varied significantly after fermentation. The total phenolic compound content and antioxidant capacity increased significantly after fermentation. Significant reductions were observed (P < 0.05) in the viability of Lactobacillus casei after exposure to gastrointestinal tract conditions, with the following counts (in log CFU mL-1) after 0 and 28 days of storage: - initial: 9.23 ± 0.04 and 9.05 ± 0.12; after the gastric phase: 6.21 ± 0.09 and 5.90 ± 0.01; and after the intestinal phase: 4.59 ± 0.33 and 4.75 ± 0.23, respectively.

O presente estudo teve o objetivo de mapear evidências científicas sobre as estratégias destinadas à prevenção e à posvenção do suicídio no decurso da pandemia da Covid-19. Para isso, foi realizada uma scoping review entre o período de 17 de dezembro de 2021 a 8 de fevereiro de 2022, nas seguintes bases de dados: MEDLINE via PubMed, ISI of Knowledge via Web of Science, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (Central), Excerpta Medica database (Embase), Scopus, Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature (Lilacs) e Psychology Information (PsycINFO). Foram analisados 11 estudos com evidências de que a psicoterapia cognitiva comportamental, a psicoeducação do modelo cognitivo do comportamento suicida e a flexibilidade psicológica têm potencial para prevenir mortes por suicídio.

The aim of this study was to map scientific evidence regarding suicide prevention and postvention strategies during the Covid-19 pandemic. To this end, we undertook a scoping review between 17 December 2021 and 8 February 2022, performing searches of the following databases: MEDLINE via PubMed, ISI of Knowledge via Web of Science, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), Excerpta Medica database (EMBASE), SCOPUS, Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature (LILACS) and Psychology Information (PsycINFO). Eleven studies were analyzed. The findings show that cognitive behavioral psychotherapy, psychoeducation as part of the cognitive model of suicidal behavior, and psychological flexibility have the potential to prevent suicide.

Resumen: Brasil es considerado el segundo país del mundo en número de cesáreas. Tal procedimiento es fuertemente opuesto por activistas del parto humanizado que acusan a los obstetras de ser los responsables de esta “epidemia de cesáreas” en el país, generando fuertes conflictos con ellos. El estudio tiene como objetivo analizar los argumentos de la entidad médica Conselho Regional de Medicina do Rio de Janeiro (CREMERJ) contra los activistas del parto humanizado con respecto a la acusación dirigida a los médicos por las indicaciones de cesáreas innecesarias con graves daños a la salud de los binomio madre-hijo. La metodología se basó en la observación participante de los eventos de CREMERJ en 2019 y el análisis de documentos y material de prensa. Se observó que la evidencia científica y la ideología política son utilizadas por ambos polos en un juego de saberes y disputas de poder.

Abstract: Brazil is considered the second country in the world in number of cesarean sections. Such a procedure is strongly opposed by humanized childbirth activists who accuse obstetricians of being responsible for this “epidemic of cesarean sections” in the country, generating strong conflicts with them. The study aims to analyze the arguments of the medical entity Conselho Regional de Medicina do Rio de Janeiro (CREMERJ) against the humanized childbirth activists with regard to the accusation directed at doctors for the indications of unnecessary cesarean sections with serious damage to the health of the mother-child binomial. The methodology was based on participant observation of events at CREMERJ in 2019 and analysis of documents and media material. It was observed that scientific evidence and political ideology are used by both poles in a game of knowledge and power disputes.

Resumo: O Brasil é considerado o segundo país do mundo em número de cesáreas. Tal procedimento é fortemente combatido por ativistas do parto humanizado que acusam os médicos obstetras de serem responsáveis por essa “epidemia de cesáreas” no país gerando fortes conflitos com os mesmos. O estudo visa analisar os argumentos da entidade médica Conselho Regional de Medicina do Rio de Janeiro (CREMERJ) contra as ativistas do parto humanizado no que se refere à acusação dirigidas aos médicos pelas indicações de cesáreas desnecessárias com sérios prejuízos à saúde do binômio mãe-filho. A metodologia baseou-se na observação participante de eventos no CREMERJ em 2019 e análise de documentos e material de mídia. Observou-se que as evidências científicas e ideologia política são utilizadas por ambos os polos em um jogo de disputas de saber e poder.

Abstract Vascular epiphytes contribute significantly to the biodiversity of tropical forests. We aimed to identify the epiphyte species occurring in the Muriqui Trail at Serra do Brigadeiro State Park (SBSP), a priority area for Atlantic forest conservation in southeastern Brazil. We selected 10 phorophytes, from which we sampled epiphytes and took light intensity measurements at three strata: up to 4 m, 4 to 8 m, and above 8 m. Phorophytes represented eight species, eight genera, and six families. We found 25 epiphytic species from 17 genera and nine families. Ferns showed highest richness, especially Polypodiaceae. We report herein important data on epiphyte diversity in eastern Minas Gerais state (Zona da Mata), including the occurrence of species rarely cited in surveys. Fomenting local conservation along with environmental education may be pivotal for counteracting anthropic pressure on SBSP.

Abstract Background Cardiovascular complications of COVID-19 are important aspects of the disease’s pathogenesis and prognosis. Evidence on the prognostic role of troponin and myocardial injury in Latin American hospitalized COVID-19 patients is still scarce. Objectives To evaluate myocardial injury as independent predictor of in-hospital mortality and invasive mechanical ventilation support in hospitalized patients, from the Brazilian COVID-19 Registry. Methods This cohort study is a substudy of the Brazilian COVID-19 Registry, conducted in 31 Brazilian hospitals of 17 cities, March-September 2020. Primary outcomes included in-hospital mortality and invasive mechanical ventilation support. Models for the primary outcomes were estimated by Poisson regression with robust variance, with statistical significance of p<0.05. Results Of 2,925 patients (median age of 60 years [48-71], 57.1% men), 27.3% presented myocardial injury. The proportion of patients with comorbidities was higher among patients with cardiac injury (median 2 [1-2] vs. 1 [0-2]). Patients with myocardial injury had higher median levels of brain natriuretic peptide, lactate dehydrogenase, creatine phosphokinase, N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide, and C-reactive protein than patients without myocardial injury. As independent predictors, C-reactive protein and platelet counts were related to the risk of death, and neutrophils and platelet counts were related to the risk of invasive mechanical ventilation support. Patients with high troponin levels presented a higher risk of death (RR 2.03, 95% CI 1.60-2.58) and invasive mechanical ventilation support (RR 1.87, 95% CI 1.57-2.23), when compared to those with normal troponin levels. Conclusion Cardiac injury was an independent predictor of in-hospital mortality and the need for invasive mechanical ventilation support in hospitalized COVID-19 patients.

Resumo Fundamento As complicações cardiovasculares da COVID-19 são aspectos importantes da patogênese e do prognóstico da doença. Evidências do papel prognóstico da troponina e da lesão miocárdica em pacientes hospitalizados com COVID-19 na América Latina são ainda escassos. Objetivos Avaliar a lesão miocárdica como preditor independente de mortalidade hospitalar e suporte ventilatório mecânico em pacientes hospitalizados, do registro brasileiro de COVID-19. Métodos Este estudo coorte é um subestudo do registro brasileiro de COVID-19, conduzido em 31 hospitais brasileiros de 17 cidades, de março a setembro de 2020. Os desfechos primários incluíram mortalidade hospitalar e suporte ventilatório mecânico invasivo. Os modelos para os desfechos primários foram estimados por regressão de Poisson com variância robusta, com significância estatística de p<0,05. Resultados Dos 2925 pacientes [idade mediana de 60 anos (48-71), 57,1%], 27,3% apresentaram lesão miocárdica. A proporção de pacientes com comorbidades foi maior nos pacientes com lesão miocárdica [mediana 2 (1-2) vs. 1 (0-20)]. Os pacientes com lesão miocárdica apresentaram maiores valores medianos de peptídeo natriurético cerebral, lactato desidrogenase, creatina fosfoquinase, N-terminal do pró-peptídeo natriurético tipo B e proteína C reativa em comparação a pacientes sem lesão miocárdica. Como fatores independentes, proteína C reativa e contagem de plaquetas foram relacionados com o risco de morte, e neutrófilos e contagem de plaquetas foram relacionados ao risco de suporte ventilatório mecânico invasivo. Os pacientes com níveis elevados de troponina apresentaram um maior risco de morte (RR 2,03, IC95% 1,60-2,58) e suporte ventilatório mecânico (RR 1,87;IC95% 1,57-2,23), em comparação àqueles com níveis de troponina normais. Conclusão Lesão cardíaca foi um preditor independente de mortalidade hospitalar e necessidade de suporte ventilatório mecânico em pacientes hospitalizados com COVID-19.

Abstract The genus Candida represents the main cause of infections of fungal origin. Some species stand out as disease promoters in humans, such as C. albicans, C. glabrata, C. parapsilosis, and C. tropicalis. This study evaluated the antifungal effects of propyl (E)-3-(furan-2-yl) acrylate. The minimum inhibitory concentration of the synthetic compound, amphotericin B and fluconazole alone against four species of Candida ranged from 64 to 512 μg/mL, 1 to 2 μg/mL, and 32 to 256 μg/mL, respectively. The synergistic effect of the test substance was observed when associated with fluconazole against C. glabrata, there was no antagonism between the substances against any of the tested strains. The potential drug promoted morphological changes in C. albicans, decreasing the amount of resistance, virulence, and reproduction structures, such as the formation of pseudohyphae, blastoconidia, and chlamydospores, ensuring the antifungal potential of this substance. It was also possible to identify the fungicidal profile of the test substance through the study of the growth kinetics of C. albicans. Finally, it was observed that the test compound inhibited the ergosterol biosynthesis by yeast.

Abstract Paper aims We analyze in this study the management and governance structure of technology transfer in megaprojects under an emergency context. Originality We analyze an emergency health megaproject's management and governance structure. There is a dearth of studies that explore the management and governance structure of combination megaprojects in emergencies. We focus on analyzing the literature and the management and governance structure in the technology transfer, production, and supply of the Covid-19 vaccine. We then develop a reference model for building the management and governance structure of megaprojects in emergencies. Research method We conducted a case study in Bio-Manguinhos/Fiocruz. From the case study, we can analyze real situations that contribute to the development of theories. For this, we systematically reviewed the literature to identify how the megaproject management structure has been used. We interviewed stakeholders of the Oxford/AstraZeneca/Fiocruz vaccine megaproject against Covid-19 and triangulated these data by collecting corresponding documents. Main findings We conclude that the management and governance structure of the Oxford/AstraZeneca/Fiocruz vaccine technology transfer, production, and supply megaproject was appropriate. Since this structure should not be reproduced faithfully due to its specific characteristics, we developed a reference model for structure building in emergencies. This model can support institutions and governments in structuring management and governance in critical situations. Implications for theory and practice The knowledge obtained from this study will contribute to determining management and governance structures for future megaprojects, especially in emergencies.

ABSTRACT Objective: This study assessed whether the use of a silane coupling agent influence the bond strength of two universal adhesives to ceramic or resin CAD/CAM blocks. Methods: Forty-eight samples were obtained from each resin nano-ceramic hybrid block (RCBs) and lithium disilicate ceramic blocks (LD). Samples were treated with silane with MDP (Monobond - S-MDP), silane without MDP (Prosil - PS), and no silane application (Control - Ctr) followed by universal adhesive with silane (UAS) and without silane (UA) (n=8). Three polyurethane tubes (1.5 mm of internal diameter) were positioned in each sample treated surface and filled with a dual cured resin cement. Bond strength was assessed by microshear bond strength test and failure analysis was performed for all samples. Results: For the RCBs, UAS presented the highest bond strength values (p=0.004). Silane application was not significant in bond strength values (p=0.444). For LD, silane application was significant in bond strength values (p<0.001), but the adhesive was not (p=0.066). Failure analysis showed high prevalence of adhesive failures for both substrates. Conclusion: A silane-containing universal adhesive promoted the best bond strength results to the resin nano-ceramic hybrid block. For bonding to a glass-ceramic CAD/CAM material, additional silane (without MDP) application presented the best results.

RESUMO Objetivo: Este estudo avaliou se o uso de um agente de união silano influencia na resistência de união de dois adesivos universais a blocos CAD/CAM cerâmicos ou resinosos. Métodos: Quarenta e oito amostras foram obtidas de blocos resinosos (RCBs) e cerâmicos de dissilicato de lítio (LD). As amostras foram tratadas com silano contendo: MDP (Monobond - S-MDP), silano sem MDP (Prosil - PS) ou sem aplicação de silano (Control - Ctr) seguido de adesivo universal com silano (UAS) ou sem silano (UA) (n=8). Três tubos de poliuretano (1,5 mm de diâmetro interno) foram posicionados em cada superfície tratada da amostra e preenchidos com um cimento resinoso dual. A resistência de união foi avaliada pelo teste de microcisalhamento e a análise de falha foi realizada para todas as amostras. Resultados: Para os RCBs, UAS apresentou os maiores valores de resistência de união (p=0,004). A aplicação de silano não foi significativa nos valores de resistência adesiva (p=0,444). Para LD, a aplicação de silano foi significativa nos valores de resistência de união (p<0,001), mas o adesivo não (p=0,066). A análise de falhas mostrou alta prevalência de falhas adesivas para ambos os substratos. Conclusão: O adesivo universal contendo silano promoveu os melhores valores de resistência adesiva ao bloco de resina. Para o bloco cerâmico, a aplicação adicional de silano (sem MDP) apresentou melhores resultados.
