ABSTRACT Background: The emergence of variants of concern (VOCs) requires an ongoing assessment of the performance of antigen lateral flow tests (Ag-RDTs). The limit of detection (LOD) of 32 Ag-RDTs was evaluated using the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) Gamma variant. Methods: Ag-RDTs were performed according to the manufacturer’s instructions with a clinical isolate of the Gamma variant. Results: Twenty-eight of the 32 Ag-RDTs exceeded the World Health Organization criteria. Conclusions: This comprehensive analytical evaluation of Ag-RDTs demonstrated that the test performance was maintained with Gamma VOC.

A capacidade de controlar a dispersão de nanotubos de carbono (CNT) em polímeros é considerada ponto chave para a maioria das aplicações de compósitos de nanotubo/polímero. A dispersão de nanotubos de carbono em água com diferentes surfactantes, assim como sua incorporação em resinas fenólicas, foi investigada. Ultrasonicação de suspenções líquidas foi usada para preparar dispersões estáveis. A fim de se avaliar o melhor surfactante a ser usado, espalhamento de luz e espectroscopia UV-Visível foram empregados. A estrutura de CNT reforçada de resina fenólica foi analisada em função da concentração e tipo de surfactante, potência e tempo de sonicação. A influência da dispersão pelo uso das propriedades de transição de temperatura vítrea também foi avaliada, sendo obtida por análise mecânica dinâmica e energia de impacto.

The ability to control the carbon nanotube (CNT) dispersion in polymers is considered the key to most applications of nanotube/polymer composites. The carbon nanotube dispersion into water with different surfactants, as well as its incorporation into phenolic resins, was investigated. Ultrasonication of liquid suspensions was used to prepare stable dispersions. In order to evaluate the best surfactant to be used, light scattering and UV-Visible spectroscopy were employed. The structure of CNT reinforced of phenolic resin was analyzed in function of the concentration and type of surfactant, sonication power and time. It was also evaluated the influence in the dispersion by using the glass temperature transition properties being obtained by dynamic mechanical analyses and impact energy.

This paper seeks to complement what is exposed by the author in The Erich Przywara Enigma (Gregorianum, Rome 2009, 723-783), in reference to three fundamental aspects in Przywara. Since the German doctoral theses concerning Przywara approved in the second half of the twentieth century do not address the coherent internal unity of his metaphysical approach, I briefly allude to the open unity of his «analogia entis» regarding the «analogia fidei» as inseparable from the revealed fact. Mariology is a recurrent subject, even in his ecumenical dialogues with K. Barth in Münster 1928, according to Przywara: «If an "analogia entis" (and in it, the Mariology as Barth believed), is to be a "fundamental catholic principle" then not as a "principle", but rather as a " coherent structure of something purely and freely factual»; i.e. as the structure of an original religious fact, as I explained in the mentioned paper. In his Religious Writings, Przywara quotes Saint Irenaeus abundantly before A.Orbe retook his theological coherence. In his last period, Przywara emphasizes the centrality of marriage in the redemption in Christ, as he previously emphasized the anthropological centrality of sex metaphysics, with the Virgin Mary, Mother of this Church. Thinking with the church -manifested in all his work-, is evident in his deep insight of the First Vatican Council, and of the work of Josef Kleutgen S.J., who was commissioned to draft the Constit. Dei Filius. Repercussions of this then occurred in Catholic Neo-Scholastics in France, England, and Germany. It is also exemplified in the insistence of the Papacy, from Leo XIII to Pius XI, on the profound study of Thomas of Aquinas. The missionary spirit underlines the Supposition which Saint Ignatius makes of who delivers the Spiritual Exercises. Przywara started the ecumenical dialogue in Germany. His respect for confessional otherness throughout his work as "a free writer", obtained his epochal triumph in the Second Vatican Council. His work Ansatz der Philosophie (1926), centered on the starting point of thinking, exemplifies his art of reviewing works which address the issue of thinking from diverse perspectives, and when highlighting their respective truth, he confronts them to the original religious fact (in which Kleugten's thesis converges with Max Scheler in his Catholic period).

Este trabajo intenta complementar lo expuesto por el autor en El enigma Erich Prywara (Gregorianum, Roma 2009, 723-783), en tres facetas fundamentales en Przywara. Dado que zlas tesis doctorales alemanas acerca de Przywara, aprobadas en la 2ª mitad del s. XX no enfocan la unidad interna coherente de su enfoque metafísico, aludo brevemente a la unidad abierta de su «analogia entis» respecto de «analogia fidei» inseparada del dato revelado. La Mariología es temática recurrente, incluso en sus diálogos ecuménicos con K. Barth en Münster 1928, según deja constancia Przywara: «Si una "analogia entis" (y en ella, como pensaba Barth, lo mariológico) ha de ser "principio fundamental católico", entonces jamás en tanto "principio", sino como "contextura coherente de algo pura y libremente fáctico"»; es decir, como contextura de un hecho religioso originario, según expliqué en el trabajo mencionado. En sus Escritos Religiosos, Przywara abunda en citas a San Ireneo, antes que A. Orbe rescatara su coherencia teológica. En su última época, Przywara enfatiza la centralidad de las nupcias en la redención en Cristo, así como antes en-fatizó la centralidad antropológica de una metafísica de lo sexuado, con María Virgen, Madre de esta Iglesia. El sentir con la Iglesia -manifiesto en toda su obra-, se patentiza en su intelección honda del Concilio Vaticano I y de la obra de Josef Kleutgen S.J., a quien se encomendó redactar la Constit. Dei Filius. De aquí repercutió en la Neo-Escolástica católica en Francia, Inglaterra y Alemania. Se ejemplifica también con la insistencia del Papado en el estudio a fondo de Tomás de Aquino, desde Leon XIII a Pío XI. El espíritu misionero subyace al Presupuesto que San Ignacio pone en quien da los Ejercicios Espirituales. Przywara inició el diálogo ecuménico en Alemania. Su respeto a la alteridad confesional a lo largo de su tarea como escritor libre, obtuvo su triunfo epocal en el Vaticano II. Su trabajo AnsatzderPhilosophie (1926), centrado en el punto de partida del pensar, ejemplifica su arte de reseñar obras que tratan el tema del pensar desde diversas perspectivas, y al destacar su respectiva verdad, las enfrenta al hecho religioso originario (en el que converge la tesis de Kleutgen con Max Scheler en su época católica).
