ABSTRACT Integrated management is considered the best strategy to mitigate the damage caused by plant-parasitic nematodes. However, there is still limited information regarding some integrated techniques. Thus, this study aimed to assess the effects of genetic management associated with chemical control of Meloidogyne javanica in soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) The experiment was installed in a greenhouse according to an 8×4 factorial design with eight replicates. The first factor was soybean cultivar (HO Juruena IPRO, resistant; Foco IPRO, HO Maracaí IPRO, and CZ 58B28 IPRO, moderately resistant; HO Mamoré IPRO, moderately susceptible; and Extrema IPRO, CZ 48B32 IPRO, and HO Aporé IPRO, susceptible). The second factor consisted of an untreated control and commercial nematicides based on abamectin, thiodicarb+imidacloprid, and fluopyram. Plants were inoculated with 2000 nematode eggs, and nematode and vegetative variables were evaluated at 65 d after inoculation. There was an interaction effect on nematode variables. Furthermore, there was an additive effect of genetic management and chemical control, mainly in resistant cultivars treated with thiodicarb+imidacloprid or fluopyram with controls of up to 69.90% and 96.86%, respectively. The application of fluopyram and the use of ‘HO Juruena IPRO’, ‘Foco IPRO’, or ‘HO Maracaí IPRO’ also contributed to the control of M. javanica. Vegetative variables were studied by analyzing product effects separately, but results were inconclusive.

ABSTRACT Body weight and vertical stratum utilization are important functional characteristics of species. Several studies have explored the capture success of different traps. These studies, however, did not explore how trappability is influenced by body weight. Here, we investigated the relationship between the weight of marsupial species caught in traps with trap type (wire cage and Sherman) and trap placement (ground and understory). For this we used data from Didelphis albiventris Lund, 1840 (n = 127; 75-958 g) and Gracilinanus agilis (Burmeister, 1854) (n = 327; 8.5-46 g) captured in semideciduous forest fragments in central Brazil. The results show that heaviest individuals of D. albiventris (391.01 ± 197.57 g) were captured more often by wire cage traps, regardless of trap placement. In contrast, G. agilis was trapped at similar rates regardless of weight, trap type or trap placement. We conclude that wire cage traps are more efficient at catching large marsupials weighing more than 300 g on average. Furthermore, the size of the individuals captured is not influenced by where the trap is placed (ground or understory). These findings contribute to a better understanding of the natural history and trappability of Neotropical marsupials.

ABSTRACT Objective: To present the methodology used in the development of two products for maternal health surveillance and its determinants and discuss their possible uses. Methods: Based on a theoretical model of the determinants of maternal death and databases of Brazilian health information systems, two free products were developed: an interactive panel “surveillance of maternal health” and an educational material “Aparecida: a story about the vulnerability of Brazilian women to maternal death”, both available on the website of the Brazilian Obstetric Observatory. Results: More than 30 indicators were calculated for the period 2012-2020, containing information on socioeconomic conditions and access to health services, reproductive planning, prenatal care, delivery care, conditions of birth and maternal mortality and morbidity. The indicators related to severe maternal morbidity in public hospitalizations stand out, calculated for the first time for the country. The panel allows analysis by municipality or aggregated by health region, state, macro-region and country; historical series analysis; and comparisons across locations and with benchmarks. Information quality data are presented and discussed in an integrated manner with the indicators. In the educational material, visualizations with national and international data are presented, aiming to help in the understanding of the determinants of maternal death and facilitate the interpretation of the indicators. Conclusion: It is expected that the two products have the potential to expand epidemiological surveillance of maternal health and its determinants, contributing to the formulation of health policies and actions that promote women’s health and reduce maternal mortality.

RESUME Objetivo: Apresentar a metodologia utilizada no desenvolvimento de dois produtos para a vigilância da saúde materna e seus determinantes e discutir as suas possíveis utilizações. Métodos: A partir de modelo teórico dos determinantes do óbito materno e bases de dados dos sistemas de informação em saúde brasileiros, foram desenvolvidos dois produtos gratuitos: um painel interativo denominado “Vigilância da saúde materna” e um material educativo chamado “Aparecida: uma história sobre a vulnerabilidade da mulher brasileira à morte materna”, ambos disponíveis no site do Observatório Obstétrico Brasileiro. Resultados: Foram calculados mais de 30 indicadores para o período 2012-2020, contendo informações sobre condições socioeconômicas e de acesso a serviços de saúde, planejamento reprodutivo, assistência pré-natal, assistência ao parto, condições de nascimento e mortalidade e morbidade materna. Destacam-se os indicadores relacionados à morbidade materna grave em internações públicas, calculados pela primeira vez para o país. O painel permite análises por município ou agregadas por região de saúde, unidade da federação, macrorregião e país; análises de série histórica; e comparações entre localidades e com padrões de referência. Dados de qualidade da informação são apresentados e discutidos de forma integrada aos indicadores. No material educativo, visualizações com dados nacionais e internacionais são apresentadas, visando auxiliar na compreensão dos determinantes do óbito materno e facilitar a interpretação dos indicadores. Conclusão: Espera-se que os produtos tenham o potencial de ampliar a vigilância epidemiológica da saúde materna e seus determinantes, contribuindo para a formulação de políticas e ações de saúde que promovam a saúde das mulheres e reduzam a mortalidade materna.

ABSTRACT: In Brazil, urea is the most used nitrogen (N) fertilizer to improve forage production. However, their excessive use can cause environmental impacts through N losses, such as ammonia (NH3) volatilization. Therefore, the current study adjusted and estimated the NH3 volatilization from urea applied on tropical pastures in three rainfall conditions using mathematical models. Data were collected from Marandu grass (Brachiaria brizantha) fertilized with 50 kg N ha-1 during wet, intermediate, and dry conditions. Ammonia volatilization was measured in five semi-open chambers for 21 days. The linear, quadratic, exponential, Gompertz, Groot, and Richards models were tested for fitting and estimating the NH3 volatilization. The Gompertz, Groot, and Richards models generated predictions similar to the observed data, with a high determination coefficient, indicating a better fit of these equations to data, with precision and accuracy. However, the Groot model was selected due to the lowest root mean square error of prediction (0.29 % total N lost as NH3). The greatest N loss as NH3 volatilization occurred in the wet, followed by intermediate and dry conditions (20.2, 17.0, and 11.3 % total N lost as NH3, respectively). Therefore, nitrogen losses as NH3 volatilization after application of 50 kg N ha-1, as urea source, are altered according to the weather conditions, reaching 20% of N added in the wet rainfall period. The Groot model is recommended for fitting and estimating the NH3 volatilization from urea applied on Marandu grass pastures in the wet and dry rainfall conditions.

RESUMO: No Brasil, a ureia é o fertilizante nitrogenado mais utilizado para melhorar a produção de forragem. No entanto, seu uso excessivo pode causar impactos ambientais por meio de perdas de nitrogênio (N), como a volatilização da amônia (NH3). Portanto, o objetivo do presente estudo foi ajustar a volatilização de NH3 da ureia aplicada em pastos tropicais em três condições de chuva utilizando modelos matemáticos. Dados foram coletados de pastos de capim-marandu (Brachiaria brizantha) adubado com 50 kg N ha-1 em condições úmidas, intermediárias e secas. A volatilização da NH3 foi medida em cinco câmaras semiabertas durante 21 dias. Os modelos, linear, quadrático, exponencial, Gompertz, Groot e Richards foram testados para ajuste e estimativa da volatilização do NH3. Os modelos de Gompertz, Groot e Richards geraram predições semelhantes aos dados observados, com alto coeficiente de determinação, indicando um melhor ajuste dessas equações aos dados, com acurácia e precisão. No entanto, o modelo Groot foi selecionado devido ao menor erro quadrático médio das predições (0,29% de N total perdido como NH3). A maior volatilização de NH3 ocorreu em condições climáticas úmida, seguido por intermediária e seca (20,2; 17,0 e 11,3% de N total perdido como NH3, respectivamente). Portanto, as perdas de N como volatilização de NH3 após a aplicação de 50 kg N ha-1, como fonte de ureia, são alteradas de acordo com as condições climáticas, atingindo a 20% do N adicionado nas condições úmidas. O modelo Groot é recomendado para ajuste e estimativa da volatilização de NH3 da ureia aplicada em pastos de capim Marandu em condições úmidas e secas.

Resumo A síndrome de quebras de Nijmegen (NBS) é uma doença genética rara que ocorre devido à presença de variantes patogénicas no gene NBN, herdado de forma autossómica recessiva. Esta condição leva à reparação inadequada do DNA e caracteriza-se por imunodeficiência com infeções pulmonares recorrentes, hipersensibilidade à radiação e predisposição para neoplasias, particularmente de origem linfoide. As características fenotípicas principais são a microcefalia grave, que influencia o fenótipo facial, com andar médio da face proeminente e retrognatismo. A perturbação ligeira a moderada do desenvolvimento é frequente e os doentes do sexo feminino geralmente desenvolvem insuficiência ovárica primária. O diagnóstico requer um elevado índice de suspeição e pode ser confirmado por análise genética. São apresentados dois casos de síndrome de quebras de Nijmegen seguidos num hospital terciário.

Abstract Nijmegen breakage syndrome (NBS) is a rare genetic disorder caused by mutations in the NBN gene, which is inherited in an autosomal recessive pattern. The condition results in inadequate DNA repair and is characterized by immunodeficiency with recurrent sinopulmonary infections, increased radiosensitivity, and predisposition to malignancy, particularly of lymphoid origin. The main clinical feature is progressive and severe microcephaly, which affects the facial phenotype, characterized by prominent midface, sloping forehead, and retrognathia. Mild to moderate intellectual impairment is often present and female patients usually develop primary ovarian failure. The diagnosis requires a high index of suspicion and is confirmed by molecular genetic testing. Herein are presented two cases of Nijmegen breakage syndrome followed in a tertiary center.

Resumo A vasculite de imunoglobulina A (VIgA) é uma vasculite de pequenos vasos que afeta sobretudo crianças. As principais manifestações clínicas são exantema purpúrico, proteinúria/hematúria, artralgia e dor abdominal. Este artigo apresenta uma revisão dos dados mais recentes de epidemiologia, diagnóstico e abordagem da VIgA em pediatria. A VIgA afeta 10 a 56 por 100.000 crianças/ano, manifestando-se inicialmente na idade média de 6 anos. Tanto fatores genéticos como ambientais contribuem para a sua patogénese, sendo que a deposição de imunocomplexos contendo imunoglobulina A1 anormalmente glicosilada desempenha um papel preponderante. Atendendo ao curso habitualmente benigno da doença, o tratamento conservador é geralmente suficiente. As complicações a curto prazo estão sobretudo relacionadas com envolvimento gastrointestinal, incluindo risco de perfuração e hemorragia. A morbilidade a longo prazo está associada a doença renal crónica e hipertensão. Os corticosteroides não estão recomendados na prevenção do envolvimento renal, mas podem ser úteis no tratamento, assim como outros fármacos imunossupressores.

Abstract Immunoglobulin A vasculitis (IgAV) is a small-vessel vasculitis that primarily affects children. Major manifestations include purpuric rash, proteinuria/hematuria, arthralgia, and abdominal pain. In this article, the authors review data on the epidemiology, diagnosis, and treatment of IgAV in children. IgAV affects 10 to 56 children per 100,000 per year. The mean age at presentation is six years. Both genetic and environmental factors contribute to its pathogenesis, but the deposition of immune complexes containing abnormal glycosylated immunoglobulin (Ig) A1 plays a predominant role. The course of the disease is usually benign and supportive care is sufficient. Short-term complications are mostly related to gastrointestinal involvement, including the risk of perforation and bleeding. Long-term morbidity is due to chronic kidney disease and hypertension. Corticosteroids are not recommended for prevention of renal involvement, but may be useful as a treatment strategy, as well as more aggressive immunosuppressive drugs.

ABSTRACT Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) in research should focus on the engagement of patients/carers in every stage of the research cycle. However, the inconsistent level of education and research experience may compromise this involvement and training and support are recommended. In Portugal, consistent training to empower patients in their health decisions, or to be involved in research is neither available nor adapted for the patients and public. Our main goal is to develop and deliver the first high-quality and comprehensive online educational programme for adult patients with asthma and their carers, based on patients’/carers’ needs and preferences. The project includes four tasks. In Task 1, we will identify and organise the most important topics on asthma and health research, based on the identification of educational needs of adult patients/carers with asthma and the expertise of asthma specialists, using Delphi methodology. In Task 2, we will design and implement a high-quality, free, online self-learning programme based on reliable sources of information and on patients’/carers’ preferences. In Task 3, we will assess its feasibility, satisfaction and impact. Finally, Task 4 will be centred on the management and dissemination. Patients and carers will be actively engaged in all stages of this project as co-researchers, including the writing of this protocol. By the end of this project, we expect to have implemented the first high-quality, free-of-charge, online self-learning programme on asthma and health research, adapted for adult patients with asthma and their carers. It will be available for all patients/carers not only from Portugal but also from all Lusophone countries. This programme will empower patients and carers to increase their knowledge about the disease, develop new skills and have the opportunity to learn about research. Ultimately, it will introduce the knowledge patients/carers need to represent themselves and influence health policies in Portugal successfully.

RESUMO O envolvimento dos doentes e cidadãos na investigação (PPI) deve ocorrer em todas as etapas do ciclo de investigação. No entanto, a inconsistência nos níveis educacionais e na experiência de investigação pode ser um entrave significativo de uma participação ativa. Assim, ações de formação e suporte são recomendadas. Em Portugal, não existe formação específica para capacitar os doentes nas suas decisões de saúde, ou para se envolverem em investigação. O objetivo principal é desenvolver e tornar acessível o primeiro programa educacional online de elevada qualidade para doentes adultos com asma e seus cuidadores, com base nas suas necessidades e preferências. O projeto inclui 4 tarefas. Na tarefa 1 iremos identificar os tópicos mais importantes na área da asma e investigação em saúde, a partir da identificação das necessidades educacionais de doentes/cuidadores e da experiência de especialistas em asma, usando o método Delphi. Na tarefa 2 pretendemos desenhar e implementar um programa de elevada qualidade, gratuito e online, baseado em fontes de informação fiáveis e nas preferências de doentes/cuidadores. Na tarefa 3 vamos disseminar o programa e avaliar a sua exequibilidade, aceitabilidade e impacto. A tarefa 4 irá incidir na gestão e disseminação do projeto. Doentes e cuidadores estarão ativamente envolvidos em todas as tarefas do projeto como coinvestigadores, onde se inclui a escrita deste protocolo. No final deste projeto, esperamos ter implementado o primeiro programa de auto-aprendizagem de elevada qualidade, gratuito e online para a asma e investigação em saúde, adaptado para doentes/cuidadores com asma. Este programa irá capacitar doentes e cuidadores para aumentar o seu conhecimento sobre a doença, para desenvolver novas competências, e será uma oportunidade para aprenderem sobre investigação. Este programa permitirá também a introdução a conhecimentos necessários para doentes e cuidadores se fazerem representar e influenciarem as políticas em saúde em Portugal.

Abstract Objective The present study aimed to evaluate the effects of GH treatment on the body composition of children born with SGA. Methods This study is a systematic review of the literature. CINAHL, Embase; Medline/Pubmed, Scopus and Web of Science were searched from inception to March 2022. Results Four studies met the inclusion criteria, with an intervention time of 1 to 3 years, using doses from 0.03 to 0.07 mg/kg/day of GH. Bone densitometry by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) with whole-body scans was the most used method to assess body composition. Most studies (n= 3) had SGA children as a control group with the same characteristics as the case group; the mean age was similar between the groups (minimum of 5.1 ± 1.4 years and maximum of 6.7 ± 1 0.8 years) and all participants had an average height ≤ -3DP. The Lean Mass (LM) and Fat Mass (FM) outcomes of the studies were not presented in a standardized manner; thus, they cannot be compared. There was a significant increase in LM in the group treated with GH in relation to the pre-treatment period and in comparison, to the untreated control group. Three studies showed a significant decrease in FM at the end of the intervention period, and in two studies, this decrease occurred in the control group. Conclusions Despite the differences in the presentation of results and in the evaluation periods, the results of the studies showed that growth hormone favors the gain and maintenance of lean mass, and it also affects fat mass reduction and redistribution.

ABSTRACT Nematodes of the Meloidogyne genus are among the main limiting factors of world agricultural productivity. Its management is quite complex and alternative methods such as the use of extracts have been widely studied. This study aimed to evaluate the penetration and development of M. javanica in soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) treated with Ascophyllum nodosum extract and assess this algal product and its nutrient components in nematode management. Experiment 1 comprised five sampling times (5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 d after nematode inoculation) and three application methods (planting hole, foliar spraying, and untreated control). Soybean plants were inoculated with 2000 eggs+second-stage juveniles of M. javanica and treated with algal extract. Total nematode number, number of nematodes per developmental stage, and population density (nematodes g-1 root) were determined. Experiment 2 consisted of 11 treatments: Algal extract, N, K, P, Ca, Mg, Cu, Zn, Mn, Fe, combined nutrients, and untreated control. Soybean crops were evaluated for total nematode number, population density, gall index, plant height, root fresh weight, shoot fresh weight, and shoot dry weight. In Experiment 1, algal extract reduced nematode penetration, regardless of application method. There was a decrease in the total number of nematodes and number of nematode g-1 root by 83% and 56% in the application via furrow and 68% and 70% via foliar application, respectively. In Experiment 2, all nutrient treatments reduced at least one nematode parameter, with P, Ca, Mg, Fe, and combined nutrients (Trial 1) and algal extract, P, Ca, Mg, Cu, Zn, Mn, Fe and combined nutrients (Trial 2) achieving 83% to 95% reductions in population density. Nutrient treatments positively influenced vegetative development, as a 20% increase in height for the nutrients A. nodosum, N, K, P, Ca, Mg, Cu and Fe. Ascophyllum nodosum and its nutrient components have potential in the management of M. javanica in soybean.

Abstract In the last few decades, there have been considerable improvements in the diagnosis and care of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), the most common childhood muscular dystrophy. International guidelines have been published and recently reviewed. A group of Brazilian experts has developed a standard of care based on a literature review with evidence-based graded recommendations in a two-part publication. Implementing best practice management has helped change the natural history of this chronic progressive disorder, in which the life expectancy for children of the male sex in the past used to be very limited. Since the previous publication, diagnosis, steroid treatment, rehabilitation, and systemic care have gained more significant insights with new original work in certain fields. Furthermore, the development of new drugs is ongoing, and some interventions have been approved for use in certain countries. Therefore, we have identified the need to review the previous care recommendations for Brazilian patients with DMD. Our objective was to create an evidence-based document that is an update on our previous consensus on those topics.

Resumo Nas últimas décadas, houve progressos significativos no diagnóstico e no tratamento da distrofia muscular de Duchenne (DMD), considerada a distrofia muscular mais comum na infância. Diretrizes internacionais foram publicadas e revisadas recentemente. Um grupo de especialistas brasileiros desenvolveu um padrão de atendimento baseado em revisão de literatura, com recomendações graduadas pautadas em evidências compiladas em uma publicação dividida em duas partes. A implementação de melhores práticas de manejo ajudou a modificar a história natural desta doença crônica, progressiva, que, no passado, oferecia uma expectativa de vida muito limitada para crianças do sexo masculino. Desde a publicação desse consenso anterior, o diagnóstico, o tratamento com esteroides, a reabilitação e os cuidados sistêmicos ganharam novas possibilidades a partir da divulgação dos resultados de trabalhos originais em algumas dessas áreas. Além disso, as pesquisas e o desenvolvimento de novos fármacos estão em andamento, e algumas intervenções já foram aprovadas para uso em determinados países. Nesse contexto, identificamos a necessidade de rever as recomendações anteriores sobre o manejo dos pacientes brasileiros com DMD. Nosso objetivo principal foi elaborar uma atualização baseada em evidências sobre esses tópicos do consenso.

RESUMO: Os suínos são animais que apresentam dificuldade em realizar trocas de calor, por esse motivo é importante considerar os fatores ambientais que impactam seu desempenho produtivo. O objetivo do presente trabalho foi avaliar o efeito do conforto térmico e do fotoperíodo, sobre o desempenho produtivo das porcas na gestação e leitões na maternidade. Os dados zootécnicos foram obtidos de uma granja comercial. O índice de temperatura e umidade (ITU) foi utilizado como parâmetro para o conforto ou o estresse térmico da matriz. Foram analisados os parâmetros das fêmeas no período gestacional e dos leitões na maternidade, considerando os critérios de conforto, estresse e quatro faixas de fotoperíodos. A correlação entre o fotoperíodo e ITU foi alta e positiva, demonstrando efeito associado dessas variáveis. Foram observados mais efeitos significativos em situações de conforto e faixas de menor fotoperíodo. Em conclusão, o conforto térmico e o fotoperíodo influenciaram os parâmetros avaliados na gestação e na maternidade e a alta associação ITU e fotoperíodo sugere que o controle ambiental pode favorecer parâmetros produtivos em granjas comerciais.

ABSTRACT: Pigs have difficulty in performing heat exchange and; therefore, it is important to consider the environmental factors that impact their productive performance. This study evaluated the effect of thermal comfort and photoperiod on the productive performance of sows during pregnancy and of nursery piglets. Zootechnical data were obtained from a commercial farm. The temperature-humidity index (THI) was used as the parameter to determine comfort or thermal stress of the sow. The parameters of the sows during pregnancy and nursery piglets were analyzed considering the criteria of comfort, stress, and four photoperiods. The correlation between photoperiod and THI was high and positive, which demonstrated the associated effect of these variables. More significant effects were observed under conditions of comfort and shorter photoperiods. In conclusion, thermal comfort and photoperiod influenced the parameters evaluated during pregnancy and in the nursery, and the strong association between THI and photoperiod suggested that environmental control favors productive parameters in commercial farms.

Resumen: Objetivo: Identificar los principales criterios evidenciados por la literatura científica involucrados en el alta hospitalaria segura del recién nacido. Método: Revisión integrativa de la literatura, realizada en diciembre de 2021 en las bases de datos Pubmed/Medline, BVS, Scopus, Lilacs, utilizando los descriptores “patient high summaries” OR “patient high” AND “newborn”. El estudio se basó en los procedimientos metodológicos PRISMA, se adoptaron criterios de elegibilidad y criterios de inclusión: artículos disponibles en su totalidad, publicados en los últimos 5 años, en inglés, español y portugués que versan sobre la atención del recién nacidos, el alta hospitalaria o el alta del paciente neonatal. Se excluyeron todos los artículos que no cumplieran con el objetivo de la investigación y/o no tuvieran relación con el tema en estudio. Resultados: De los 94 artículos identificados entre 2017 y 2021, se incluyeron 12 estudios, la mayoría de Brasil y con abordaje cualitativo. Se establecieron tres categorías temáticas de análisis: 1) Parámetros biofisiológicos 2) Comunicación y orientación a los padres: fragilidades y potencialidades de la familia y 3) Atención posterior al alta y seguimiento en red. Conclusión: Según a la bibliografía seleccionada, se concluye que el alta hospitalaria segura de los recién nacidos requiere atención a aspectos fisiológicos, de comunicación con la familia e intersectoriales para el seguimiento en red.

Abstract: Objective: To identify the main criteria evidenced by the literature published on newborns’ hospital discharge. Method: This is an integrative literature review, carried out in December 2021 in the PubMed/Medline, BVS, Scopus and LILACS databases, using the “patient discharge summaries” OR “patient discharge” AND “newborn” descriptors. The study was based on PRISMA methodological procedures, eligibility criteria were adopted, and the inclusion criteria were as follows: articles available in full, published in the last 5 years in English, Spanish and Portuguese and dealing with newborn care, hospital discharge or neonatal patient discharge. All articles that did not meet the research objective and/or were not related to the topic under study were excluded. Results: Of the 94 articles identified between 2017 and 2021, 12 studies were included, most from Brazil and with a qualitative approach. Three thematic analysis categories were established: 1) Biophysiological parameters; 2) Communication and guidelines for parents: weaknesses and strengths of the family; and 3) Post-discharge care: network follow-up. Conclusion: According to the selected bibliography, it is concluded that newborns’ safe hospital discharge requires attention to the physiological, communication with the family and intersectoral aspects for network follow-up.

Método: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, realizada em dezembro de 2021 nas bases de dados Pubmed/ Medline, BVS, Scopus, Lilacs, utilizando-se os descritores “patient discharge summaries" OR “patient discharge” AND “newborn”. O estudo foi fundamentado pelos procedimentos metodológicos PRISMA, foram adotados critérios de elegibilidade, critérios de inclusão: artigos disponíveis na íntegra, publicados nos últimos 5 anos, nos idiomas inglês, espanhol e português que versassem sobre cuidados ao recém-nascido, alta hospitalar ou alta do paciente neonatal. E de exclusão: todos os artigos que não atendiam ao objetivo da pesquisa e ou não possuíam relação com o tema em estudo. Resultados: Dos 94 artigos identificados entre 2017 e 2021 foram incluídos 12 estudos, sendo a maioria do Brasil e de abordagem qualitativa. Foram estabelecidas três categorias temáticas de análise: 1) Parâmetros biofisiológicos; 2) Comunicação e orientação aos pais: fragilidades e potencialidades da família; e 3) Cuidados pós alta e seguimento de rede. Conclusão: De acordo com a bibliografia selecionada está concluído que a alta hospitalar segura de recém-nascidos requer atenção aos aspectos fisiológicos, de comunicação com a família e intersetorial para seguimento de rede.

Abstract Background The transmission of diseases by blood products continues to be a worldwide health problem, especially in Africa. Seroprevalence rates of the Hepatitis B virus (HBV), Hepatitis C virus (HCV), Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Syphilis, and Coinfection in Angola are poorly documented. This study aims to identify the seroprevalence of markers with positive results for Hepatitis B, C, HIV, Syphilis, and Coinfection in blood donors. Material and methods A retrospective study was conducted using a database of positive serological markers for these infections and coinfection in 2734 blood donors traced from 2011 to 2016 in Luanda, Angola. The Chi-Square test (χ2) or Fisher's exact test was used to evaluate serological positivity and donors’ characteristics. A p-value < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results 2734 blood donors aged 18 to 64 (median age 32 ± 9) were screened from 2011 to 2016. 73.9 % of the donors were positive for one Transfusion-Transmitted Infection (TTI), and 5.9 % showed evidence of multiple infections. The overall seroprevalence rate was 50.2 % (1373) for HBV, 20 % (436) for Syphilis, 7 % (191) for HIV, 5.1 % (140) for HCV, and 5.8 % for coinfected donors. 2467 (90 %) were men, and 267 (10 %) were women. We identified 118 (5.8 %) coinfected donors. Of those, 40 (33.9 %) simultaneously presented Hepatitis B virus surface antigen (HBsAg)/Syphilis, 24 (20.3 %) HBsAg/HIV, 22 (18.6 %) HBsAg/HCV, 20 (16.9 %) HIV/Syphilis, 8 (6.8 %) HCV/Syphilis, and 4 (3.4 %) HIV/HCV. Conclusion A high transfusion-transmissible infection prevalence was found compared to some countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. Therefore, intensifying the screening for these transfusion-transmitted infections in blood donors is critical to ensure blood safety.
