The present study aimed to identify the knowledge and adherence of Elementary School I teachers to the use of children's stories to expand the Social Skills (SS) repertoire. Twelve teachers working in the 2nd or 3rd years of Elementary School I from different public schools located in the city of Rio de Janeiro participated. It was a descriptive, cross-sectional, qualitative and quantitative research. The interview was structured with open and closed questions and divided into three sections. The first aimed to obtain sociodemographic data of the researched subjects. Section two sought to investigate how teachers used Children's Literature books in the classroom and if they recognized HS in their students' interpersonal relationships. Section three aimed to identify whether they used any material, such as puppets, for storytelling. The interviews were conducted online via the Zoom platform. The analysis of the information was carried out in two stages: first, the quantitative verification of the answers to the closed questions was carried out, and then the qualitative investigation of the open questions was carried out, using Bardin's Content Analysis method. It was found that teachers recognize the Children's Literature book as a favorable resource for the socio-emotional and cognitive development of their students. However, they do not know the SS theory, do not recognize such skills in everyday life, do not know how to develop them and are limited in their ability to stimulate socially skilled behavior in interpersonal relationships established at school.

El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo identificar el conocimiento y la adherencia de docentes de la Enseñanza Básica I al uso de cuentos infantiles para ampliar el repertorio de Habilidades Sociales (SS). Participaron doce docentes que actúan en el 2º o 3º año de la Enseñanza Básica I de diferentes escuelas públicas ubicadas en la ciudad de Río de Janeiro. Fue una investigación descriptiva, transversal, cualitativa y cuantitativa. La entrevista se estructuró con preguntas abiertas y cerradas y se dividió en tres secciones. El primero tuvo como objetivo obtener datos sociodemográficos. La sección dos buscó investigar cómo los docentes utilizaban los libros de Literatura Infantil en el aula y si reconocían HS en las relaciones interpersonales de sus alumnos. La sección tres tuvo como objetivo identificar si utilizaban algún material para la narración. Las entrevistas se realizaron en línea a través de la plataforma Zoom. El análisis de la información se realizó en dos etapas: primero se realizó la verificación cuantitativa de las respuestas a las preguntas cerradas, y luego se realizó la indagación cualitativa de las preguntas abiertas, utilizando el método de Análisis de Contenido de Bardin. Se encontró que los docentes reconocen el libro de Literatura Infantil como un recurso favorable para el desarrollo socioemocional y cognitivo de sus alumnos. Sin embargo, desconocen la teoría de las SS, no reconocen dichas habilidades en la vida cotidiana, no saben cómo desarrollarlas y tienen limitada su capacidad para estimular comportamientos socialmente hábiles en las relaciones interpersonales establecidas en la escuela.

O presente estudo teve como objetivo identificar o conhecimento e a aderência de professores do Ensino Fundamental I à utilização de histórias infantis para ampliar o repertório de Habilidades Sociais (HS). Participaram 12 professores atuantes no 2º ou 3º anos do Ensino Fundamental I de diferentes escolas públicas localizadas na cidade do Rio de Janeiro. Foi uma pesquisa de delineamento descritivo, transversal, quali e quantitativo. A entrevista foi estruturada com perguntas abertas e fechadas e divididas em três seções. A primeira teve por objetivo obter dados sociodemográficos dos sujeitos pesquisados.A seção dois buscou investigar como os professores utilizavam os livros de Literatura Infantil em sala de aula e se reconheciam o HS nas relações interpessoais de seus alunos. A seção três visava identificar se eles usavam algum material, como fantoche, para contação de histórias. Como as entrevistas foram online , pela Plataforma Zoom . A análise das informações foi realizada em duas etapas: primeiro procedeu-se à verificação quantitativa das respostas às perguntas fechadas e em seguida foi feita a investigação qualitativa das questões abertas, utilizando o método de Análise de Conteúdo de Bardin.Constatou-se que os professores reconhecem o livro de Literatura Infantil como recurso favorável ao desenvolvimento socioemocional e cognitivo de seus alunos. Contudo, não conhece a teoria das HS, não reconhecem tais habilidades na vida cotidiana, não sabe como desenvolvê-las e fica limitado em sua capacidade de estimular comportamentos socialmente habilidosos nas relações interpessoais protegidas na escola.

Abstract INTRODUCTION Chagas disease is a major public health problem that is endemic in Brazil and Latin America. This study aimed to determine the socioeconomic, demographic, and clinical characteristics of 171 patients (mean age, 45 years; female, 65%) with Chagas disease at Hospital Universitário de Brasília, Federal District, Brazil. METHODS We implemented this cross-sectional study using a clinical epidemiological questionnaire, electrocardiography, echocardiography, and quantitative detection of Trypanosoma cruzi DNA in blood using qRT-PCR. RESULTS Among the patients, 26.3% had a full elementary education, and 13.2% were illiterate. Most (63.6%) were economically classified as class C, and 51.5% were born in Bahia state. A total of 62.0% participants reported previous contact with the triatomine bug. The clinical forms of the disease were indeterminate (69.51%), cardiac (15.24%), digestive (10.37%), and mixed (4.88%). The most common electrocardiographic abnormality was complete right bundle branch block in association with a divisional anterosuperior block. Only 14.6% of the patients complied with benznidazole medication for at least 60 days, and 164 of them were assessed by echocardiography. The parasite load was positive in 56% of the patients. CONCLUSIONS: Chagas disease affected mostly women, with the indeterminate chronic form of the disease.

Objective to identify two features of primary health care, namely First-contact access and Longitudinality in hospitalized children. Methods cross-sectional study carried out in two hospitals with 120 children under five years of age hospitalized due to sensitive conditions of primary health care. Data collection performed using the Primary Care Assessment Tool. Results the degree of affiliation obtained a better score (approximately 8.0), being the only one among all components of the instrument satisfactorily evaluated (≥6.6). Longitudinality (>4.0) had a lower score than First-contact access (5.6). According to the parents, the nurse was the professional who had most performed the follow-up in childcare. Conclusion the results point to weaknesses in services and carergivers’ dissatisfaction, evidenced by the poor following to the Primary Health Care principles.

Objetivo identificar os atributos da atenção primária à saúde Acesso de primeiro contato e Longitudinalidade em crianças hospitalizadas. Métodos estudo transversal, realizado em dois hospitais, com 120 crianças menores de cinco anos de idade internadas por condições sensíveis à atenção primária em saúde. Coleta de dados realizada utilizando o Primary Care Assessment Tool. Resultados o grau de afiliação obteve melhor escore (aproximadamente 8,0), sendo o único entre todos os componentes do instrumento avaliado de forma satisfatória (≥6,6). A Longitudinalidade (>4,0) apresentou menor escore em comparação ao Acesso de primeiro contato (5,6). Segundo os pais, o enfermeiro foi o profissional que mais realizou o acompanhamento na Puericultura. Conclusão os resultados apontam fragilidades nos serviços e insatisfação dos cuidadores, evidenciados pela baixa orientação aos princípios da Atenção Primária à Saúde.

Este artigo discute o Acompanhamento Terapêutico (AT) como dispositivo clínico-político e suas implicações na atenção à saúde mental no contexto da Reforma Psiquiátrica no Brasil. O AT surgiu num movimento de desinstitucionalização da loucura, tomando a cidade como campo de experimentação e inserindo-se para além dos estabelecimentos de saúde. Esse dispositivo realiza uma "clínica sem muros", problematizando a um só tempo a doença mental e a sua relação com os espaços urbanos, interrogando radicalmente as práticas manicomiais. Acompanhando o dispositivo em suas variações e em sua articulação com a rede de saúde mental brasileira, atentamos para algumas funções que o dispositivo AT opera. A partir de tais funções, o AT comparece como um mobilizador de forças capazes de consolidar um estatuto público para a clínica.

This article argues the Therapeutic Accompaniment (TA) as a clinical-political device and its implications on attention to mental health in the context of the Psychiatric Reform in Brazil. TA emerged in a movement of deinstitutionalization of madness, taking the city as its field of experimentation and inserting itself beyond the health establishments. It performs a "clinic without walls", discussing at the same time mental illness and its relationship with urban spaces radically questioning the asylum practices. Following the device in its variations and in its links to mental health network in Brazil, we look at some functions that the TA operates. From these functions, TA appears as a rallying of forces capable of consolidating a public status to the clinic.

The aim of this study was to determine the yield, chemical composition, specific rotation (SR), infrared (IR) spectroscopy and the effect on bacterial growth of a crude sulfated polysaccharide (SP) from the red marine alga G. ornata (Go). Go-1 (25°C), Go-2 (80°C), and Go-3 (80°C) were sequentially extracted and yielded 9.2%. The contents of sulfate (5.88-10.3%) and proteins (0.1-3.7%) were small. The values of SR were [µ]D20°f -19.0, -51.0, and -56.5, respectively. IR spectrums showed the presence of galactose-4 sulfate and absence of 3,6-anydrogalactose-2 sulfate, galactose-6 sulfate and galactose-2 sulfate. SR and IR techniques confirmed SPs. Go-3 was tested on the growth of bacteria (Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus, Enterobacter aerogens, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonela choleraesuis and Salmonela typhi), but only E. coli was inhibited.

The aim of this work was to study the effect of Halymenia floresia (Hf) on duodenum contractility, and on experimental protocols of gastric compliance (GC) in rats. Fraction Hf2s exhibited a concentration-dependent myocontractile effect (EC50 12.48 µg/ml), and an inhibitory effect after consecutive washing. The contractile response promoted by Hf2s in the duodenum strips was completely inhibited by verapamil, and the effects were prevented in the presence of Ca2+-free medium. The pretreatment with atropine prevented the Hf2s myocontractile effect. Hf2s was also capable to decrease the GC (from 3.8±0.06 to 3.4±0.13 ml, P<0.05), which did not return to basal levels after more 50 min of observation. These results indicated that the algal polysaccharide possessed in vitro and in vivo gastrointestinal effects.

The aim of this study was to evaluate certain molecular characteristics of a sulfated polysaccharide (SPs) with anticoagulant properties, isolated from Caulerpa cupressoides (Chlorophyta). Crude SPs were extracted by proteolytic digestion (papain), followed by ion-exchange chromatography on a DEAE-cellulose column. The fractions obtained were analyzed for molecular mass, 0.5% agarose gel electrophoresis and chemical composition. The activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) test was applied using normal human plasma and standard heparin (HEP) (193 IU mg-1). The yield was ~ 3%, and the chromatography procedure separated the material into three different SP fractions (F I, F II and F III), eluted at the concentrations of 0.50, 0.75 and 1.00 M of NaCl, respectively. Only fraction F II was active (24.62 IU mg-1), with high sulfate content (23.79%) and number of molecular mass peaks. Therefore, the APTT of a fraction isolated from C. cupressoides was less potent than HEP.

Trata-se de um mesmo problema em uma dupla inscrição teórico-prática, daí a necessidade de redefinição do conceito de humanização, bem como dos modos de construção de uma política pública e transversal de humanização da/na saúde. Este segundo aspecto apontou para o debate sobre a dimensão pública das políticas de saúde em sua relação com o Estado. O texto se dedica, orientado pela análise foucaultiana do poder, a examinar o conceito de humanização na relação do Estado com as políticas públicas como experiência concreta, afirmando que não há como garantir uma política nacional de humanização da saúde sem que se confronte com o tema do humanismo no contemporâneo. Esta tarefa não é simples, já que o pensamento no século 20 foi fortemente marcado por uma crítica anti-humanista que deve agora ser retomada para que possamos nos reposicionar.

As long as it is assumed that humanization is a fundamental aspect regarding the health policies it is demanding that its concept be revised and criticized so changes in the models of assistance and management can be performed. Such urge is presented not only because the concept has been trivialized, but also by the fragmentation of the practices connected to different programs of humanization of the health system. It is the same problem in a double inscription theoretical/practical, so the need to face the task of redefining the concept of humanization as well as the construction of public and transversal policies of humanization of/and in the health system. This second aspect points out to the need of a debate on the public dimension of the health policies and its relation with the Government. This paper intents, supported by Foucault’s analysis of power, to exam the concept of humanization in a more wide scenario showing the relationship of the Government with the public policies as concrete experiences, assuring that there is no way of guaranteeing a National Policy of Humanization of Health without confronting with the concept of humanism in the contemporary world. In the 20th Century, the idea was strongly stressed by an anti-humanistic critic and the task we face now is not easy and has to be carried out so we can redirect ourselves.
