Resumen Marco contextual: La exposición de los enfermeros al sufrimiento y la muerte de los pacientes puede desencadenar altos niveles de angustia, en función de las estrategias de afrontamiento utilizadas. Objetivos: Analizar la relación entre el sufrimiento y las características sociodemográficas y profesionales; identificar las estrategias de afrontamiento más utilizadas; analizar la relación entre el sufrimiento y las estrategias de afrontamiento. Metodología: Estudio descriptivo, correlacional y transversal. Participaron 26 enfermeros de una Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Cardíacos (UCIC). Se utilizó la Caregiver Grief Scale para evaluar el sufrimiento y el Ways of Coping Questionnaire para evaluar las estrategias de afrontamiento. Resultados: No hubo relación entre el sufrimiento y las características sociodemográficas o profesionales. Las estrategias de afrontamiento más utilizadas están centradas en el problema (autocontrol, búsqueda de apoyo social). Existe una correlación positiva (r = 0,56) entre el sufrimiento y la estrategia de afrontamiento distanciamiento (p ≤ 0,01). Conclusión: El sufrimiento es transversal a todos los enfermeros de una UCIC, independientemente de las variables sociodemográficas y profesionales. Al utilizar el distanciamiento como estrategia de afrontamiento, el sufrimiento puede ser mayor.

Abstract Background: Nurses’ exposure to patient suffering and death can cause high levels of suffering, depending on the coping strategies used. Objective: To analyze the association between suffering and sociodemographic and professional characteristics; to identify the most common coping strategies; and to analyze the association between suffering and coping strategies. Methodology: Descriptive, correlational, and cross-sectional study with 26 nurses from an Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU). The Caregiver Grief Scale and the Ways of Coping Questionnaire were used to assess suffering and coping strategies, respectively. Results: No association was found between suffering and sociodemographic and professional characteristics. The most common coping strategies were problem-focused (self-controlling, seeking social support). A positive correlation (r = 0.56) was found between suffering and the Distancing coping strategy (p ≤ .01). Conclusion: All CICU nurses experienced suffering, regardless of sociodemographic and professional variables. Using the Distancing coping strategy may increase the level of suffering.

Resumo Enquadramento: A exposição dos enfermeiros ao sofrimento e morte dos doentes pode desencadear níveis elevados de sofrimento, dependendo das estratégias de coping utilizadas. Objetivos: Analisar a relação entre o sofrimento e as características sociodemográficas e profissionais; identificar as estratégias de coping mais utilizadas; analisar a relação entre o sofrimento e as estratégias de coping. Resumo As síndromes poliglandulares autoimunes (PAS) são um grupo complexo e heterogéneo de doenças caracterizado pela combinação de duas ou mais disfunções endócrinas autoimunes. É apresentado o caso de uma adolescente de 16 anos de idade com história de astenia, prostração e perda de peso, que foi diagnosticada com hipotiroidismo e anemia ferropénica. Duas semanas após ter iniciado tratamento com levotiroxina e ferro, desenvolveu insuficiência suprarrenal com náuseas e vómitos. Os níveis de cortisol baixo e hormona adrenocorticotrópica elevada e presença de anticorpos anti-suprarrenal e antiperoxidase tiroideia positivos confirmaram o diagnóstico de síndrome poliglandular autoimune tipo 2 (PAS-2). O tratamento com hidrocortisona, fludrocortisona e levotiroxina levou à remissão dos sintomas A PAS-2 é uma condição rara, sendo necessária uma elevada suspeita clínica para a mesma, dado que a maioria dos sintomas são inespecíficos. O diagnóstico precoce pode prevenir complicações potencialmente fatais.

Abstract Autoimmune polyglandular syndromes (PAS) are a complex and heterogeneous group of diseases characterized by the combination of two or more endocrine or non-endocrine organ dysfunctions. Herein is presented the case of a 16-year-old female with a history of asthenia, prostration, and weight loss who was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and iron deficiency anemia. Two weeks after starting therapy with levothyroxine and iron, she developed an adrenal crisis with nausea and vomiting. Low cortisol, elevated adrenocorticotropic hormone, and positive antiadrenal and antithyroid peroxidase antibodies confirmed the diagnosis of autoimmune polyglandular syndrome type 2 (PAS-2). Symptoms resolved with hydrocortisone, fludrocortisone, and levothyroxine. PAS-2 is a rare but potentially serious disorder. A high clinical suspicion is required, as most symptoms are nonspecific. Early diagnosis may prevent life-threatening complications.

RESUMO As Úlceras Por Pressão (UPP) estão relacionadas com o processo prolongado de incapacidade, indicador de fragilidade, declínio funcional e dependência, constituindo a desnutrição fator preponderante para a sua evolução. O objetivo do presente estudo foi relacionar o risco de desenvolvimento de UPP com o estado nutricional e a fragilidade de idosos institucionalizados em Estruturas Residenciais para Pessoas Idosas. Realizou-se um estudo transversal, quantitativo e descritivo. Aplicou-se um questionário que integrava questões para caracterização sociodemográfica, a escala de Braden, o Mini Nutricion Assessment e o Índice de Fragilidade de Groningen. Participaram 134 idosos institucionalizados, 64,2% do sexo feminino, com média de idades de 85,0 anos (DP= 7,9), 70,1% viúvos e 58,2% não concluíram o 1º ciclo de escolaridade. Os resultados mostram que 35,8% dos idosos apresentam alto risco de desenvolvimento de UPP, 57,4% encontram-se desnutridos ou em risco de desnutrição e 82,1% apresentam fragilidade. A avaliação do risco de UPP, da fragilidade e da desnutrição nos idosos institucionalizados permite instituir medidas preventivas com objetivo de melhorar a sua qualidade de vida. A prevenção de Úlceras Por Pressão constitui um indicador de qualidade dos cuidados de enfermagem que requer avaliação e atualização para uma prática clínica fundamentada na inovação e melhor evidência.

ABSTRACT Pressure ulcers (PUs) are related to a prolonged process of disability, an indicator of frailty, functional decline and dependence, and malnutrition is a major factor in their development. The aim of this study was to correlate the risk of developing PUs with the nutritional status and frailty of elderly people institutionalized in Residential Facilities for the Elderly. A cross-sectional, quantitative and descriptive study was carried out. A questionnaire was used which included questions for sociodemographic characterization, the Braden scale, the Mini Nutritional Assessment and the Groningen Frailty Index. The participants were 134 institutionalized elderly people, 64.2% female, with an average age of 85.0 years (SD= 7.9), 70.1% widowed and 58.2% had not completed primary school. The results show that 35.8 per cent of the elderly were at high risk of developing UPP, 57.4 per cent were malnourished or at risk of malnutrition and 82.1 per cent were frail. Assessing the risk of PUs, frailty and malnutrition in institutionalized elderly people makes it possible to institute preventive measures with the aim of improving their quality of life. The prevention of pressure ulcers is an indicator of the quality of nursing care that requires evaluation and updating for clinical practice based on innovation and the best evidence.

RESUMO Os cuidados de saúde devem dar resposta às necessidades individuais e familiares, disponibilizando os recursos de saúde existentes para suprir as carências dos cidadãos. As pessoas em situação de dependência requerem cuidados dos familiares, Cuidadores Informais, que necessitam de formação específica para o desempenho do papel de cuidador. O objetivo do estudo foi analisar de que forma a literacia em saúde influência a relação entre a satisfação com o suporte social e a sobrecarga do Cuidador Informal. Realizou-se um estudo transversal, quantitativo e descritivo-correlacional. A recolha de dados foi efetuada através de um questionário. Participaram 51 Cuidadores Informais, 78,4% eram mulheres, 29,4% apresentava nível médio/baixo de escolaridade, 52,9% assumiu o papel de Cuidador Informal há cinco ou mais anos. Verificou-se que 80,4% dos Cuidadores Informais apresentavam nível de sobrecarga elevado, com maior impacto nos que prestavam cuidados há cerca de 1-2 anos. Quanto às ajudas necessárias, 76,5% dos Cuidadores Informais referiram o suporte para apoio económico e 49% suporte para cuidar do familiar. Evidenciou-se necessidade de o enfermeiro implementar intervenções para melhorar os conhecimentos dos cuidadores, promover a literacia em saúde, o suporte social e dinâmicas que permitam ao Cuidador Informal partilhar experiências e alcançar um processo de transição saudável.

ABSTRACT Health care must respond to individual and family needs, making existing health resources available to meet citizens’ needs. People in a situation of dependence require care from family members who require specific training to perform the role of caregiver. The objective of the study was to analyze how health literacy influences the relationship between satisfaction with social support and informal caregiver burden. A cross-sectional, quantitative and descriptive-correlational study was carried out. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire. 51 informal caregivers participated, 78.4% were women, 29.4% had a medium/low level of education, 52.9% had assumed the role of informal caregiver for five or more years. It was found that 80.4% of informal caregivers had a high level of overload, with a greater impact on those who had been providing care for around 1-2 years. Regarding the necessary help, 76.5% of informal caregivers mentioned social support for economic support and 49% support for caring for a family member. The need for nurses to implement interventions to improve caregivers’ knowledge, promote health literacy, social support and dynamics that allow informal caregivers to share experiences and achieve a healthy transition process was highlighted.

RESUMO A Literacia em Saúde é definida pela Organização Mundial da Saúde como a capacidade de a pessoa obter, processar e entender as informações básicas de saúde e utilizar os serviços de saúde disponíveis de forma responsável. O objetivo do presente trabalho foi avaliar o nível de literacia em saúde dos utentes na consulta de enfermagem de um centro de saúde do norte de Portugal. Tratou-se de um estudo observacional, transversal, com abordagem quantitativa, descritiva e correlacional. Participaram no estudo 100 utentes, inscritos na consulta de enfermagem e a recolha de dados foi efetuada através do questionário de literacia em saúde European Health Literacy Survey para Portugal. A maioria dos participantes (63%) era do sexo feminino, com idades compreendidas entre 18 e 94 anos, a maioria (34%) situava-se no grupo etário superior a 65 anos e 35% possuíam o 1° ciclo de escolaridade. Quanto à literacia em saúde, 32% utentes apresentava um nível inadequado, 56% nível problemático e 12% nível suficiente. Os níveis baixos de literacia em saúde dos utentes que participaram no estudo indicam a necessidade de implementar projetos de intervenção para capacitação dos utentes e suas famílias sobre Literacia em Saúde e autocuidados.

ABSTRACT The World Health Organization defines Health Literacy as a person's ability to obtain and understand basic health information and to use available health services responsibly. The present study aimed to assess the level of health literacy of patients attending a nursing consultation at a health centre in northern Portugal. It was an observational, cross-sectional, descriptive, and correlational study with a quantitative approach. One hundred subjects enrolled in the nursing consultation participated in the study, and data was collected using the health literacy questionnaire European Health Literacy Survey for Portugal. The majority of participants (63%) were female, aged between 18 and 94; most (34%) were 65 years and older, and 35% had completed their elementary school. As for health literacy, 32% of participants had an inadequate level, 56% a problematic level and 12% a sufficient level. The low levels of health literacy of the users of a nursing consultation who participated in the study indicate the need to implement intervention projects to empower participants and their families in health literacy and self-care.

Abstract To date, hydroxyurea is the only effective and safe drug that significantly reduces morbidity and mortality of individuals with Sickle cell disease. Twenty years of real-life experience has demonstrated that hydroxyurea reduces pain attacks, vaso-occlusive events, including acute chest syndrome, the number and duration of hospitalizations and the need for transfusion. The therapeutic success of hydroxyurea is directly linked to access to the drug, the dose used and adherence to treatment which, in part, is correlated to the availability of hydroxyurea. This consensus aims to reduce the number of mandatory exams needed to access the drug, prioritizing the requesting physician's report, without affecting patient safety.

RESUMEN Objetivo: evaluar las actividades colectivas y de resocialización desarrolladas en un CAPS I, desde la perspectiva de usuarios, familiares y profesionales del servicio. Método: investigación evaluativa, anclada en el marco teórico-metodológico de la Evaluación de Cuarta Generación, realizada con 11 usuarios, seis familiares y 10 profesionales de un Centro de Atención Psicosocial I. Se desarrolló de septiembre/2021 a agosto/2022, utilizando etnografía previa, entrevistas y negociación, con análisis de datos mediante el Método Comparativo Constante. Resultados: los participantes señalaron que se realizan talleres terapéuticos, grupos de apoyo y reuniones colectivas, que se desarrollan principalmente en el espacio físico del servicio, con adecuada operacionalización y frecuencia, facilitadas por la actitud de los profesionales y la provisión de transporte y alimentación. Se evaluó que estas acciones tuvieron impacto en la atención psicosocial ofrecida, resultando en adherencia al tratamiento, mejora de las relaciones interpersonales en el servicio y en la comunidad, aparición de sentimientos positivos, inclusión social y apoyo para afrontar las dificultades. Los desafíos son el horario grupal y la participación de niños/adolescentes. Consideraciones finales: las actividades colectivas y de resocialización fueron evaluadas como esenciales para la atención psicosocial ofrecida en el CAPS, proporcionando beneficios significativos a los usuarios, promoviendo la interacción, la inclusión social, las relaciones interpersonales y el enfrentamiento de las adversidades.

RESUMO: Objetivo: avaliar as atividades coletivas e de ressocialização desenvolvidas em um CAPS I, na ótica dos usuários, familiares e profissionais do serviço. Método: pesquisa avaliativa, ancorada no referencial teórico-metodológico da Avaliação de Quarta Geração, realizada com 11 usuários, seis familiares e 10 profissionais de um Centro de Atenção Psicossocial I. Ocorreu de setembro/2021 a agosto/2022, utilizando etnografia prévia, entrevista e negociação, com análise de dados pelo Método Comparativo Constante. Resultados: os participantes apontaram que são realizadas oficinas terapêuticas, grupo de apoio e encontros coletivos, que ocorrem, principalmente, no espaço físico do serviço, com operacionalização e frequência adequadas, facilitadas pela postura dos profissionais e pela oferta de transporte e alimentação. Avaliou-se que essas ações impactaram no cuidado psicossocial ofertado, resultando na adesão ao tratamento, melhora do relacionamento interpessoal no serviço e na comunidade, surgimento de sentimentos positivos, inclusão social e apoio para o enfrentamento de dificuldades. Seus desafios são o horário de realização do grupo de apoio e a participação de crianças e adolescentes. Considerações finais: as atividades coletivas e de ressocialização foram avaliadas como essenciais para o cuidado psicossocial oferecido no CAPS, proporcionando benefícios significativos aos usuários, promovendo interação, inclusão social, relacionamento interpessoal e enfrentamento de adversidades.

ABSTRACT Objective: to evaluate the collective and resocialization activities developed in a CAPS I, from the perspective of users, family members and service professionals. Method: evaluative research, anchored in the theoretical-methodological framework of the Fourth Generation Evaluation, conducted with 11 users, six family members and 10 professionals from a Psychosocial Care Center I. It took place from September 2021 to August 2022, using prior ethnography, interviews and negotiation, with data analysis using the Constant Comparative Method. Results: participants pointed out that therapeutic workshops, support groups and collective meetings are held, which take place mainly in the physical space of the service, with adequate operationalization and frequency, facilitated by the professionals’ attitude and the provision of transportation and food. It was assessed that these actions had an impact on the psychosocial care offered, resulting in treatment adherence, improved interpersonal relationships within the service and community, emergence of positive feelings, social inclusion and support for coping with difficulties. The challenges are the support group schedule and the participation of children and adolescents. Final considerations: collective and resocialization activities were evaluated as essential for the psychosocial care offered at CAPS, providing significant benefits to users, promoting interaction, social inclusion, interpersonal relationships and coping with adversities.

Abstract Background There is limited data available regarding the prevalence of intracranial arterial stenosis (ICAS) among acute ischemic stroke (AIS) patients in Brazil and Latin America. Objective The present study sought to investigate the frequency and predictors of ICAS among patients with AIS or transient ischemic attack (TIA) in a Brazilian center, with transcranial color-coded duplex sonography (TCCS) technique. Methods Consecutive AIS and TIA patients, admitted to an academic public comprehensive stroke center in Brazil from February to December 2014, evaluated by TCCS were prospectively selected. Vascular narrowings > 50% were considered as ICAS, based on ultrasound criteria previously defined in the literature. Results We assessed 170 consecutive patients with AIS or TIA, of whom 27 (15.9%) were excluded due to an inadequate transtemporal acoustic bone window. We confirmed ICAS in 55 patients (38.5%). The most common location was the proximal segment of the middle cerebral artery (28.2%), followed by the vertebral (15.4%), posterior cerebral (13.6%), terminal internal carotid (9.1%) and basilar (8.2%) arteries. On multivariate models adjusting for potential confounders, systolic blood pressure (OR: 1.03, 95%CI: 1.01–1.04; p = 0.008) was independently associated with ICAS. Conclusion We found significant ICAS in approximately ⅓ of patients admitted with symptoms of AIS or TIA in a public tertiary academic stroke center in Brazil. The TCCS is an accessible and noninvasive technique that can be used to investigate the presence of moderate and severe ICAS, especially in patients who cannot be exposed to more invasive exams, such as the use of intravenous contrast agents.

Resumo Antecedentes Dados acerca da prevalência da estenose arterial intracraniana (EAIC) entre os pacientes com acidente vascular isquêmico (AVCi) agudo no Brasil e América Latina são limitados. Objetivo O presente estudo pretendeu investigar a frequência e os preditores da EAIC nos pacientes AVCi ou ataque isquêmico transitório (AIT) em um centro brasileiro utilizando o Doppler transcraniano colorido (duplex transcraniano). Métodos Pacientes consecutivos com AVCi ou AIT, admitidos entre fevereiro e dezembro de 2014 em um centro acadêmico brasileiro especializado em doenças cerebrovasculares, foram avaliados prospectivamente com duplex transcraniano. Os estreitamentos vasculares > 50% foram considerados como EAIC, baseado em critérios ultrassonográficos definidos previamente na literatura. Resultados Foram avaliados 170 pacientes com AVCi ou AIT, dos quais 27 (15,9%) foram excluídos em decorrência da janela óssea transtemporal acústica inadequada. Confirmamos EAIC em 55 pacientes (38,5%). A localização mais comum foi o segmento proximal da artéria cerebral média (28,2%), seguida pelas artérias vertebral (15,4%), cerebral posterior (13,6%), carótida interna terminal (9,1%) e basilar (8,2%). No modelo multivariado, ajustado para os potenciais confundidores, a pressão arterial sistólica aumentada (OR: 1,03; IC 95%: 1,01–1,04; p = 0,008) foi independentemente associada a EAIC. Conclusão Foi identificada EAIC significativa em quase ⅓ dos pacientes admitidos com sintomas de AVCi ou AIT em um serviço acadêmico público de atendimento especializado em doenças cerebrovasculares. O Doppler transcraniano colorido é uma ferramenta acessível e não invasiva que pode ser utilizada com segurança para a investigação da presença de EAIC moderada ou grave, especialmente nos pacientes que não podem ser expostos a exames complementares mais invasivos com uso de contraste intravenoso.

Abstract: This study analyzes the social representations that encompass the vision of being a woman in contemporary society, followed by reflections on what the female gender implies in social and cultural relations. Starting from the theory of social representations, we seek to understand how women understand the meaning of what “being a woman” implies in the environment in which they find themselves. This research was carried out using semi-structured interviews that were applied to 25 women of different age, socioeconomic, and social classifications, focusing on questions about what it means to be a woman for each of them and if they feel disadvantaged in some situation because they belong to this group. Results showed that two groups were formed, representing a duality most participants shared, with the characteristics of the traditional woman being highlighted on the one hand, and the warrior woman and the difficulties experienced in the daily life of a woman on the other in a society still governed by traditional notions of gender.

Resumen: Este artículo analiza las representaciones sociales que engloban la visión de ser mujer en la sociedad contemporánea reflexionando sobre lo que implica el género femenino en las relaciones sociales y culturales. Partiendo de la teoría de las representaciones sociales, se busca comprender cómo las mujeres entienden el significado de “ser mujer” en el entorno donde se encuentran. Esta investigación se llevó a cabo mediante una entrevista semiestructurada, aplicada a un grupo de 25 mujeres de diferentes grupos de edad, socioeconómicos y sociales, enfocándose en preguntas sobre qué significa ser mujer para cada una de ellas y si se sienten en desventaja en alguna situación por pertenecer a este grupo. Los resultados revelan la representación de una dualidad compartida por la mayoría de las participantes, destacándose, por un lado, las características de la mujer tradicional y, por el otro, de la mujer guerrera y las dificultades vividas en una sociedad bajo nociones tradicionales de género.

Resumo: Este artigo apresenta uma análise das representações sociais que englobam a visão do ser mulher na sociedade contemporânea, acompanhada de reflexões sobre o que o gênero feminino implica nas relações sociais e culturais. Partindo da teoria das representações sociais, buscou-se entender como mulheres compreendem o significado de “ser mulher” no meio em que se encontram. A pesquisa foi realizada por meio de uma entrevista semiestruturada, aplicada a um grupo de 25 mulheres de diferentes classificações etárias, socioeconômicas e sociais, com foco em questões sobre o que é ser mulher para cada uma delas, e se elas sentem-se prejudicadas em alguma situação pelo fato de pertencerem a esse grupo. Foi possível observar, a partir dos resultados, que se formaram dois grupos, representantes de uma dualidade compartilhada pela maioria das participantes, sendo de um lado ressaltadas as características da mulher tradicional, e do outro a mulher guerreira e as dificuldades vivenciadas no cotidiano de uma sociedade ainda regida pelas noções tradicionais de gênero.

Abstract Cleft lip and palate are the most common congenital malformations in the craniofacial region, occurring at a rate of 1:700 births in Brazil. These conditions lead to functional impacts on patients, such as changes in breathing, teeth, speech, chewing, swallowing and sucking. Treatment begins with primary surgeries, including lip and palate repair, which aim to reconstruct the soft tissues. Secondary alveolar bone grafting (SABG) reconstructs the bone defect in the cleft region, with the main goal of supplying bone tissue to the cleft region and restore the continuity of the alveolar process. Objective: To measure the changes in cross-sectional areas (CSAs) and nasal volume in patients and their impact on the nasal cavity (NC) in the two-month postoperative period (PO2M). Methodology: This study included 15 patients with complete unilateral cleft lip and palate (U/CLP) indicated for alveolar bone grafting (ABG). Cone beam computed tomography scans obtained prior to SABG and at PO2M were compared. Nasal volumes and CSAs were measured by marking the masks delimiting the nasal cavity on CT scans using Mimics™ software. Results: NC volumes (total, right and left sides) were statistically lower at PO2M in patients with left-sided UCLP. In right-sided UCLP, these volumes were only significant for the total NC and left NC. The CSAs of the internal nasal valve in both groups showed significantly lower values compared to the preoperative period (p≤0.05). Conclusion: In the short term, alveolar bone graft surgery reduces the volume of nasal cavities and the cross-sectional areas of the right and left internal nasal valve as a whole, not only the cleft area where the graft material was placed.

ABSTRACT Soil fertility evaluation is important for adopting conservation management and adequate nutrient supply. The objective of this study was to identify critical levels and soil fertility classes using the boundary line method for rainfed crops (corn, cowpea and sabiá [Mimosa caesalpiniifolia]) in the Brazilian semi-arid region. A database of 226 soil fertility analyses of samples from the 0.00-0.20 m soil layer, and corn, cowpea and sabiá yields from Ceará State was used to generate interpretation classes (at 80 and 95 % of maximum yield). In a scatter plot, soil nutrient concentrations (x-axis) and relative crop yields (y-axis) were correlated, and the border points fitted to a quadratic model. Proposed interpretation classes were classified as very low, low, adequate, high and very high, except for Na+, whose adequate class was considered tolerable. Generated models showed coefficients of determination (R2) for the chemical properties ranging from 0.54 to 0.92. Based on the interpretation classes, the critical level was determined as 6.3 for pH, 10.8 g dm-3 for OM, 20.9 mg dm-3 for P, 81 mg dm-3 for K, 55 mmolc dm-3 for Ca2+, 24 mmolc dm-3 for Mg2+ and 8 mg dm-3 for S-SO42-. Interpretation classes for soils with high-activity clay in the Brazilian semi-arid region were superior to those in the reference literature. Boundary line method established fertility classes and critical levels for soil chemical properties in more than one crop, using the concept of relative yield.

Resumo Considerado um problema social e de saúde pública mundial que está longe de acabar, o abuso sexual infantil tem consequências psicológicas para as vítimas e para seus familiares. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi analisar a ocorrência de sintomas de estresse, ansiedade e depressão em mães e verificar se tais sintomas estavam relacionados aos sintomas de seus filhos que sofreram abuso sexual. Participaram desta pesquisa 65 mães de filhos(as) com idades entre 6 e 18 anos, recrutadas por meio de redes sociais e grupos de apoio. Foram aplicados os seguintes instrumentos: Child Behavior Checklist; Inventário de Ansiedade de Beck; Inventário de Depressão de Beck; Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Checklist e Questionário com dados sociodemográficos e características do abuso sexual. A coleta de dados foi realizada de forma online por meio do Google Forms. Os resultados apresentaram níveis grave e moderado para ansiedade, depressão e estresse pós-traumático em 70,8% da amostra de participantes. Foram realizadas análises de regressão linear múltipla, demonstrando que as variáveis sociodemográficas, o abuso sexual intrafamiliar, a mãe ter sofrido abuso sexual e as variáveis do CBCL não foram preditores para sintomas de ansiedade e depressão das mães. Para os sintomas de estresse pós-traumático das mães, observou-se que as queixas somáticas dos filhos foram preditoras, explicando 70,8% do desfecho. Conclui-se que a maioria dos sintomas apresentados pelos filhos que sofreram abuso sexual não está relacionada com os sintomas das mães, evidenciando que a ocorrência do abuso sexual por si só é um fator de adoecimento para as mães.

Abstract Considered a global social and public health problem that is far from over, child sexual abuse has psychological consequences for victims and their families. The objective of this research was to analyze the occurrence of symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression in mothers and to verify if such symptoms were related to the symptoms of their children who suffered sexual abuse. 65 mothers of children aged between 6 and 18 years old, recruited through social networks and support groups, participated in this research. The following instruments were applied: Child Behavior Checklist; Beck Anxiety Inventory; Beck Depression Inventory; Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Checklist and Questionnaire with sociodemographic data and characteristics of sexual abuse. Data collection was carried out online through Google Forms. The results showed severe and moderate levels for anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress in 70.8% of the sample of participants. Multiple linear regression analyzes were performed, demonstrating that sociodemographic variables, intrafamilial sexual abuse, mother having suffered sexual abuse and the CBCL variables were not predictors of anxiety and depression symptoms in mothers. For the mothers' post-traumatic stress symptoms, it was observed that the somatic complaints of the children were predictors, explaining 70.8% of the outcome. It is concluded that most of the symptoms presented by children who suffered sexual abuse are not related to the symptoms of the mothers, showing that the occurrence of sexual abuse in itself is a factor of illness for mothers.

Resumen Con el aumento exponencial de la cantidad de datos generados diariamente, se ha intensificado el interés de las organizaciones por desarrollar estrategias para el manejo de Big Data. Un ejemplo de Big Data brasileño es la Plataforma CNPq Lattes, que permite extraer información de los currículos de los investigadores registrados en ella. Una de las limitaciones de la plataforma es que la información se ordena individualmente para cada investigador y sin un estándar de indexación, lo que hace imposible extraer datos de los investigadores simultáneamente. Para remediar este problema, se desarrolló el software ScriptLattes, utilizado en el presente estudio, para extraer información de los currículos de investigadores en oncología inyectable, con el fin de obtener una visión panorámica de sus producciones técnico-científicas. En cuanto a las actividades realizadas por estos especialistas en el período analizado, se observaron un total de: 85.465 artículos completos publicados, 24.068 producciones técnicas y 13.496 proyectos implementados. Los análisis de red realizados con la ayuda del software Gephi señalaron al Dr. Fernando de Queiroz Cunha, de la Facultad de Medicina de Ribeirão Preto (USP), como el investigador más destacado del área. A pesar de las limitaciones de la Plataforma Lattes, los resultados demostraron ser eficientes, posibilitando la generación de conocimiento científico y tecnológico en oncología inyectable en varios niveles institucionales.

Para sanar tal problema, foi desenvolvido o software ScriptLattes, utilizado no presente estudo, para extrair as informações dos currículos dos pesquisadores em oncológicos injetáveis, visando obter uma visão panorâmica das produções técnicas e científicas destes. Em relação às atividades realizadas por esses especialistas no período analisado, observou-se um total de: 85.465 artigos completos publicados, 24.068 produções técnicas e 13.496 projetos implementados. As análises de rede realizadas com o auxílio do software Gephi apontaram o Dr. Fernando de Queiroz Cunha, da Faculdade de Medicina de Ribeirão Preto (USP), como o pesquisador mais proeminente na área. Despite the limitations of the Lattes Platform, the results proved to be efficient, enabling the generation of scientific and technological knowledge in injectable oncology at various institutional levels.

Resumen: Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo general describir el discurso de las mujeres participantes de un programa de prevención de violencia contra la mujer por parejas íntimas en una universidad privada en el sur de Brasil. Los talleres se desarrollaron en seis encuentros de dos horas de duración cada uno, abordando los siguientes temas: normas de género, sexualidad, violencia doméstica familiar, tipos de violencia y red de apoyo. Las intervenciones fueron grabadas y fue realizada una descripción densa del contenido obtenido. El análisis de contenido apuntó a dos categorías en el discurso. El primero: Tradición y desinformación, se obtuvieron las siguientes sub-categorías: La limitación de la identidad por lógica sexista; Responsabilidad exclusiva de las actividades domésticas; La indignidad de las mujeres en el lugar de trabajo. La segunda categoría fue la debilidad de la red de protección. El trabajo mostró la importancia del debate y la adopción de una práctica psicológica para el reconocimiento del fenómeno de la violencia, en el que la que la tradición y la desinformación son elementos de una cultura patriarcal, así como la fragilidad de la red de protección.

Resumo Esta pesquisa teve por objetivo geral descrever o discurso das participantes de um programa de prevenção de violência contra a mulher por parceiros íntimos em uma universidade particular no sul do Brasil. As oficinas desenvolveram-se em seis encontros de duas horas sobre os seguintes temas: normas de gênero, sexualidade, violência doméstica familiar, tipos de violência e rede de apoio. As intervenções foram gravadas e foi realizada uma descrição densa do conteúdo. A análise de conteúdo apontou para duas categorias no discurso. Na primeira, Tradição e desinformação, foram obtidas as subcategorias: A limitação da identidade pela lógica sexista; A responsabilidade exclusiva sobre as atividades domésticas; O desmerecimento da mulher no ambiente de trabalho. A segunda categoria foi a Fragilidade da rede de proteção. O trabalho mostrou a importância do debate e da adoção de uma prática da Psicologia para o reconhecimento do fenômeno da violência, em que a tradição e a desinformação são elementos de uma cultura de patriarcado, assim como a fragilidade da rede de proteção.

Abstract: The objective of this research was to describe the participants’ discourse of a program to prevent violence against women by intimate partners at a private university in the south of Brazil. The workshops were developed into six two-hour meetings on the following topics: gender norms, sexuality, family domestic violence, types of violence and support network. Interventions were recorded and a dense description of the content was performed. Content analysis pointed to two categories in the discourse. In the first, Tradition and Disinformation, the following subcategories were obtained: The limitation of identity by sexist logic; Exclusive responsibility for domestic activities; The unworthiness of women in the workplace. The second category was the Weakness of the safety network. The work showed the importance of debate and the adoption of a psychological practice for the recognition of the phenomenon of violence, in which tradition and misinformation are elements of a patriarchal culture, as well as the fragility of the protection network.
