Resumo Um Enterprise Resource Planing (ERP) é um sistema de gestão empresarial que permite integrar os fluxos de informação de uma empresa. A implantação de sistemas ERP na construção civil é altamente suscetível a falhas, devido aos requisitos e à complexidade da área. Com o propósito de desenvolver um sistema ERP efetivo, é necessário ter uma análise de requisitos prévia, além de manter o contato com os interessados e demais envolvidos até a entrega do produto. Contudo, diversas escolhas técnicas influenciam na qualidade final do produto, e não foram identificadas na literatura propostas técnicas que auxiliem nessas escolhas. Dessa forma, o objetivo do presente trabalho é propor uma arquitetura para a implementação do sistema, no formato de um modelo de diagrama de blocos, para auxiliar na construção de um ERP, definindo os principais módulos de softwareque esse sistema deve possuir. O modelo proposto é baseado na arquitetura de microsserviços. Foram levantados e elencados os módulos do sistema e seu fluxo de comunicação, de modo a evitar problemas técnicos encontrados durante o ciclo de vida do software. Também foram sugeridas tecnologias que podem ser utilizadas para a construção do ERP, tais como API REST e banco de dados.

Abstract An Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is a business management system that allows the integration of a company's information flows. The implementation of ERP systems in the construction industry is highly susceptible to failure, due to the requirements and complexity of the area. With the purpose of developing an effective ERP system, it is necessary to have a prior requirements analysis, in addition to maintaining contact with stakeholders and others involved until the product is delivered. However, several technical choices influence the final quality of the product and no technical proposals that can help in these choices have been identified in the literature. Thus, the objective of this study is to propose an architecture for the system’s implementation, in the format of a block diagram model to help in the construction of an ERP, defining the main software modules that an ERP system must have. The proposed model is based on microservices architecture. The system’s modules and their communication flow were surveyed and listed in order to avoid technical problems encountered during the software life cycle. Technologies that can be used to build the ERP, such as REST API and Database, are also suggested.

ABSTRACT The expression ‘you need to know to conserve’ is a well-known cliche among biologists. Documenting the richness of a group of organisms is the first step towards understanding biodiversity and preparing efficient conservation plans. In this context, many efforts have been made to quantify the number of species on Earth and estimate the number of species still unknown to science. A few countries have complete and integrated databases estimating the approximate number of species recorded for their territory, particularly in the Global South. In Brazil, a country of continental dimensions, revealing the richness of the second most diverse clade of invertebrates (=Mollusca) has been a goal of taxonomists. Recently, in an unprecedented, collective, and integrated effort among Brazilian malacologists, it was possible to estimate how many valid species of molluscs are there in Brazil. In this effort, more than 30 mollusc experts joined together to update the Taxonomic Catalogue of the Brazilian Fauna (TCBF), a governmental website that allows a quick and real-time updating of all Metazoan. So far, more than 5,000 updates have been made in TCBF, indicating the presence of 3,552 valid species of molluscs in Brazil, distributed among the main clades as follows: Caudofoveata (10 spp.), Solenogastres (6 spp.), Polyplacophora (35 spp.), Scaphopoda (43 spp.), Cephalopoda (92 spp.), Bivalvia (629 spp.) and Gastropoda (2,737 spp.). The present study, in addition to demonstrating for the first time the richness of Brazilian molluscs, also presents the state of the art of this important phylum of invertebrates highlighting its most representative and neglected groups.

ABSTRACT Objectives: to assess the factors associated with the safety culture of patients under dialysis in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: a cross-sectional and analytical study, carried out in Minas Gerais, with 134 professionals from three dialysis services. The Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture, adapted for Brazil, was used. Results: only variable type of management was associated with the highest percentage of positive response in public and private services. Patient safety was rated as good by 55.7% of respondents. In dimension assessment, the public service presented one strength and five weaknesses, the private service did not present weak areas, and the philanthropic service presented a weakness. The priority areas for improvement actions are represented by dimensions “Nonpunitive response to error” and “Staffing”. Conclusions: interventions should consider the type of service management, as it is a factor associated with safety culture.

RESUMEN Objetivos: evaluar los factores asociados a la cultura de seguridad del paciente en diálisis en el contexto de la pandemia de COVID-19. Métodos: estudio transversal y analítico, realizado en Minas Gerais, con 134 profesionales de tres servicios de diálisis. Se utilizó el instrumento Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture, adaptado para Brasil. Resultados: solo la variable tipo de gestión se asoció con el mayor porcentaje de respuesta positiva en los servicios públicos y privados. La seguridad del paciente fue calificada como buena por el 55,7% de los encuestados. En la evaluación de las dimensiones, el servicio público presentó una fortaleza y cinco debilidades, el servicio privado no presentó áreas frágiles y el servicio filantrópico presentó fragilidad. Las áreas prioritarias de acciones de mejora están representadas por las dimensiones “Respuesta no punitiva a los errores” y “Escalamiento de personal”. Conclusiones: las intervenciones deben considerar el tipo de gestión del servicio, ya que es un factor asociado a la cultura de seguridad.

RESUMO Objetivos: avaliar os fatores associados à cultura de segurança do paciente em diálise no contexto da pandemia de COVID-19. Métodos: estudo transversal e analítico, realizado em Minas Gerais, com 134 profissionais de três serviços de diálise. Utilizou-se o instrumento Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture, adaptado para o Brasil. Resultados: apenas a variável tipo de gestão esteve associada à maior porcentagem de resposta positiva nos serviços púbicos e privados. A segurança do paciente foi classificada como boa para 55,7% dos respondentes. Na avaliação das dimensões, o serviço público apresentou uma fortaleza e cinco fragilidades, o serviço privado não apresentou áreas frágeis, e o serviço filantrópico apresentou uma fragilidade. As áreas prioritárias para ações de melhoria estão representadas pelas dimensões “Resposta não punitiva para erros” e “Dimensionamento de pessoal”. Conclusões: intervenções devem considerar o tipo de gestão do serviço, por ser um fator associado à cultura de segurança.

Abstract This study aimed to evaluate the contribution of oral and maxillofacial pathology laboratories (OMPLs) in Brazilian public universities to the diagnosis of lip, oral cavity, and oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). A cross-sectional study was performed using biopsy records from a consortium of sixteen public OMPLs from all regions of Brazil (North, Northeast, Central-West, Southeast, and South). Clinical and demographic data of patients diagnosed with lip, oral cavity, and oropharyngeal SCC between 2010 and 2019 were collected from the patients’ histopathological records. Of the 120,010 oral and maxillofacial biopsies (2010-2019), 6.9% (8,321 cases) were diagnosed as lip (0.8%, 951 cases), oral cavity (4.9%, 5,971 cases), and oropharyngeal (1.2%, 1,399 cases) SCCs. Most cases were from Brazil’s Southeast (64.5%), where six of the OMPLs analyzed are located. The predominant profile of patients with lip and oral cavity SCC was Caucasian men, with a mean age over 60 years, low schooling level, and a previous history of heavy tobacco consumption. In the oropharyngeal group, the majority were non-Caucasian men, with a mean age under 60 years, had a low education level, and were former/current tobacco and alcohol users. According to data from the Brazilian National Cancer Institute, approximately 9.9% of the total lip, oral cavity, and oropharyngeal SCCs reported over the last decade in Brazil may have been diagnosed at the OMPLs included in the current study. Therefore, this data confirms the contribution of public OMPLs with respect to the important diagnostic support they provide to the oral healthcare services extended by the Brazilian Public Health System.

ABSTRACT Objective: to evaluate the patient safety culture from the perspective of nursing staff in dialysis services in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: cross-sectional study with 56 nursing professionals from three dialysis services in Minas Gerais - Brazil, between March and June 2021. The Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture instrument was used. The data were analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics; chi-square test; and Generalizable Estimating Equations (p≤0.05). Results: Patient safety was rated as good or excellent by 69.6% of participants. The dimension “Expectations and actions of the service management that favor safety” was considered a strength (85.42%). “Non-punitive response to errors” (23.99%) and “Staff sizing” (45.83%) were considered weak. There was a higher percentage of positive responses in public and philanthropic services (p<0.001). Conclusion: few dimensions indicated strengths, and the type of management influenced the percentage of positive responses.

RESUMEN Objetivo: Evaluar la cultura de seguridad del paciente desde la perspectiva del personal de enfermería de los servicios de diálisis en el contexto de la pandemia de COVID-19. Método: estudio transversal con 56 profesionales de enfermería de tres servicios de diálisis de Minas Gerais - Brasil, entre marzo y junio de 2021. Se utilizó el instrumento Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture. Los datos se analizaron mediante estadística descriptiva e inferencial, test de chi cuadrado y Ecuaciones de Estimación Generalizables (p≤0,05). Resultados: la seguridad de los pacientes fue calificada de buena o excelente por el 69,6% de los participantes. La dimensión “Expectativas y acciones de la dirección del servicio que favorecen la seguridad” se consideró un punto fuerte (85,42%). “Respuesta no punitiva a los errores” (23,99%) y “Dotación de personal” (45,83%) se consideraron débiles. Hubo un mayor porcentaje de respuestas positivas en los servicios públicos y filantrópicos (p<0,001). Conclusión: pocas dimensiones indicaron puntos fuertes, y el tipo de gestión influyó en el porcentaje de respuestas positivas.

Abstract Objective To investigate the presence of cervical infection by human papillomavirus (HPV) and associated factors in older women Method A cross-sectional, retrospective descriptive study with a quantitative approach was conducted. The sample comprised 106 women aged 60 years or over, seen at public health services of a city in southern Brazil, who underwent cervical cell collection for cytological analysis and molecular detection of HPV DNA. Clinical and sociodemographic data were collected using a standardized questionnaire and from Pap test result Results Patient age was 60-82 years, with a mean of 64.9 ± 5.1 years. HPV was detected in 14 (13.2%) of the study participants and 8 viral types were identified, the majority (n=7; 87.5%) of high oncogenic risk. Chi-square analysis revealed that positive HPV cases were associated with a higher number of sexual partners (p= 0.018). On cytology, most of the women (n=102; 96.2%) had a negative result for intraepithelial lesion or malignancy, and two (1.8%) had abnormal cytology, but neither were positive for HPV infection on molecular testing. Of the 10 women evaluated at two visits, seven (70%) tested negative for HPV infection on both evaluations, two (20%) eliminated the HPV infection, and one (10%) showed conversion to positive infection status. None of the cases had persistent infection. Conclusion Older women are susceptible to HPV infection and to the lesions caused by the virus. This group should therefore continue regular cytological screening.

Resumo Objetivo Investigar a presença de infecção cervical pelo papilomavírus humano (HPV, human papillomavirus) em mulheres idosas e fatores relacionados. Método Trata-se de um estudo transversal, retrospectivo e descritivo, com abordagem quantitativa. A amostra foi constituída por 106 mulheres com idade igual ou superior a 60 anos atendidas em serviços de saúde pública de uma cidade do Sul do Brasil, as quais realizaram coleta de material cervical para análise citológica e detecção molecular do DNA do HPV, bem como levantamento de dados clínicos e sociodemográficos por meio de um questionário padronizado e requisição do exame citopatológico. Resultados A idade das pacientes variou entre 60 e 82 anos, com média de 64,9 ± 5,1. O HPV foi detectado em 14 (13,2%) idosas avaliadas no estudo e 8 tipos virais foram identificados, a maioria (n=7; 87,5%) de alto risco oncogênico. Observou-se, por análise de qui-quadrado, que casos HPV positivos possuem associação com maior número de parceiros sexuais (p= 0,018). Na citologia, a maioria das mulheres (n=102; 96,2%) apresentou resultado negativo para lesão intraepitelial ou malignidade e duas (1,8%) apresentaram citologia alterada, mas destas, nenhuma apresentou infecção por HPV no teste molecular. Das 10 mulheres avaliadas em duas visitas, sete (70%) não apresentaram infecção pelo HPV em ambas as avaliações, duas (20%) eliminaram a infecção pelo HPV e uma (10%) apresentou conversão para positividade. Nenhuma delas apresentou infecção persistente. Conclusão Mulheres idosas estão suscetíveis à infecção por HPV e às lesões causadas por esse vírus, por isso devem manter o rastreamento citológico.

ABSTRACT Historically, all efforts against tuberculosis were focused on rapid diagnosis and effective treatment to break the chain of transmission of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. However, in the last few years, more and more evidence has been found on the dramatic consequences of the condition defined as post-tuberculosis lung disease (PTLD). Approximately one third of patients surviving pulmonary tuberculosis face considerable ongoing morbidities, including respiratory impairment, psychosocial challenges, and reduced health-related quality of life after treatment completion. Given the important global and local burden of tuberculosis, as well as the estimated burden of PTLD, the development of a consensus document by a Brazilian scientific society-Sociedade Brasileira de Pneumologia e Tisiologia (SBPT)-was considered urgent for the prevention and management of this condition in order to allocate resources to and within tuberculosis services appropriately and serve as a guide for health care professionals. A team of eleven pulmonologists and one methodologist was created by the SBPT to review the current evidence on PTLD and develop recommendations adapted to the Brazilian context. The expert panel selected the topics on the basis of current evidence and international guidelines. During the first phase, three panel members drafted the recommendations, which were divided into three sections: definition and prevalence of PTLD, assessment of PTLD, and management of PTLD. In the second phase, all panel members reviewed, discussed, and revised the recommendations until a consensus was reached. The document was formally approved by the SBPT in a special session organized during the 2023 SBPT Annual Conference.

RESUMO Historicamente, todos os esforços contra a tuberculose concentraram-se no diagnóstico rápido e no tratamento efetivo para quebrar a cadeia de transmissão do Mycobacterium tuberculosis. No entanto, nos últimos anos, têm sido encontradas mais e mais evidências sobre as dramáticas consequências da condição definida como doença pulmonar pós-tuberculose (DPPT). Aproximadamente um terço dos pacientes que sobrevivem à tuberculose pulmonar enfrenta morbidades consideráveis e persistentes, incluindo comprometimento respiratório, desafios psicossociais e redução da qualidade de vida relacionada à saúde após o término do tratamento. Diante da importante carga global e local da tuberculose, bem como da carga estimada da DPPT, considerou-se urgente o desenvolvimento de um documento de consenso por uma sociedade científica brasileira - a Sociedade Brasileira de Pneumologia e Tisiologia (SBPT) - para a prevenção e manejo dessa condição, a fim de alocar recursos de forma adequada para e nos serviços de tuberculose e servir de guia para os profissionais de saúde. Uma equipe de onze pneumologistas e um metodologista foi criada pela SBPT para revisar as evidências atuais sobre a DPPT e desenvolver recomendações adaptadas ao contexto brasileiro. O painel de especialistas selecionou os temas com base nas evidências atuais e diretrizes internacionais. Durante a primeira fase, três membros do painel redigiram as recomendações, que foram divididas em três seções: definição e prevalência de DPPT, avaliação da DPPT e manejo da DPPT. Na segunda fase, todos os membros do painel analisaram, discutiram e revisaram as recomendações até chegar a um consenso. O documento foi aprovado formalmente pela SBPT em sessão especial organizada durante o Congresso Anual da SBPT de 2023.

This paper contemplates the scientific contributions of the seven winners, from the creation of the Nobel Prize to the year 2020. The laureates are Marie Curie, Irène Joliot-Curie, Dorothy Crowfoot Hodgkin, Ada Yonath, Frances Hamilton Arnold, Emmanuelle Marie Charpentier, and Jennifer Anne Doudna. In 112th editions of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, there were 186 awards, where only seven winners were women, an amount less than 4% of the total, which makes clear the low female representation. Marie was the pioneer, being the first woman to win, alone, a Nobel Prize in Chemistry. She was the only woman to win two Nobel Prizes, and the only person awarded in two distinct scientific areas: Chemistry and Physics. Only Marie and Dorothy received the award alone, Irène, Ada and Frances shared the award with men, and Emmanuelle and Jennifer became the first pair of women to share a Nobel Prize in Chemistry. There is an evident under-representation of women in the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, but this should not be a reason not to remember and celebrate the trajectory of these brilliant scientists, who must be present in training courses in scientific areas, as well as in Basic Education schools.

Resumo Apesar da literatura a respeito das teorias sobre Engenharia de Avaliações, Modelagem de Dados, Data Mining e Big Data ser vasta, não há registro de seu uso simultâneo na realização de uma análise de mercado imobiliário de uma cidade ou região. Diante disto, o presente trabalho tem por objetivo de analisar os fatores que influenciam na velocidade de venda de empreendimentos residenciais em Goiânia e Aparecida de Goiânia, classificar estes empreendimentos de acordo com sua aceitação pelo mercado e mapear quais as principais características presentes nos empreendimentos de maior sucesso na região. Para o desenvolvimento da proposta foi utilizado um banco de dados, contendo o número de unidades vendidas de 268 empreendimentos imobiliários de Goiânia, com data de lançamento entre janeiro de 2016 a dezembro de 2018, contabilizadas mês a mês, gerando um total de 4746 entradas no banco de dados. Para a realização da pesquisa foram utilizadas técnicas de Data Mining e Big Data para apurar o banco de dados e possibilitar a comparação direta entre os empreendimentos analisados. Como resultados, foi possível definir as maiores oportunidades de mercado estudando as características de número de dormitórios, metragem quadrada privativa, preço do metro quadrado, preço do apartamento e localização. Dentre as variáveis estudadas, a localização, número de dormitórios, valor por unidade, metragem quadrada privativa e preço por metro quadrado têm grande influência na recepção do imóvel pelo mercado. Já a data de lançamento do imóvel não tem grande relevância no sucesso de vendas do empreendimento.

Abstract Several topics were analyzed to produce this article, such as Evaluation Engineering, Data Modeling, Data Mining and Big Data. Although the literature on these theories is extensive, there is no record of their simultaneous use in favor of conducting an analysis of the real estate market in a city or region. The present work aims to use these theories to elaborate and implement quantitative criteria which group real estate projects according to their sale speed in order to classify them as high or low demand in the market. Thus, a database was used to develop the proposal, containing the number of units sold from 268 real estate developments in Goiânia with a launch date between January 2016 to December 2019, recorded month by month, generating a total of 4746 entries in the database. Data Mining and Big Data techniques were used to determine the database to perform the research and enable direct comparison between the analyzed enterprises. It was possible to accurately define the greatest market opportunities by studying the characteristics of the number of bedrooms, private square footage, price per square meter, apartment price and location.

RESUMO: A coturnicultura tem apresentado características promissoras, deixando de ser uma atividade de subsistência e ocupando patamares tecnificados devido a sua precocidade produtiva, baixo investimento de criação e rápido retorno econômico. A partir da restrição da utilização de antimicrobianos como promotores de crescimento, estudos foram direcionados com o objetivo de se avaliar produtos alternativos que viabilizassem a criação de aves saudáveis, sem comprometer seu desempenho, sendo o extrato comercial da Macleaya cordata um destes substitutos. As funções do trato gastrintestinal são coordenadas principalmente pelo sistema nervoso entérico, sendo o plexo mioentérico responsável pelo controle reflexo das atividades contráteis da musculatura externa. Desta forma, o presente trabalho teve como objetivo localizar e demonstrar a distribuição do plexo mioentérico, quantificar a população total de neurônios mioentéricos (Giemsa+), e a subpopulação de neurônios mioentéricos nitrérgicos (NADPH-d+), além de avaliar os efeitos do extrato comercial da Macleaya cordata sobre estas populações de neurônios do jejuno de codornas. Foram alojadas 240 codornas de postura, fêmeas, com um dia de idade, distribuídas aleatoriamente em quatro tratamentos, com quatro repetições de 15 aves cada. Os grupos testes (T1, T2 e T3) foram tratados com extrato comercial de Macleaya cordata durante todo o período experimental conforme as doses indicadas, sendo: T1 - grupo teste, com dieta basal adicionada de 150 ppm do extrato na ração; T2 - grupo teste, com dieta basal adicionada de 100 ppm do extrato na ração; T3 - grupo teste, com dieta basal adicionada de 50 ppm do extrato na ração, e T4 - grupo controle, com dieta basal isenta do extrato. Foram realizadas análise histológica e a marcação dos neurônios mioentéricos Giemsa+ e NADPH-d+. Os resultados demonstraram que o plexo mioentérico está localizado entre as fibras do estrato longitudinal, e na região de transição entre os estratos longitudinal e circular da túnica muscular, estando a população mioentérica organizada em gânglios, e também isoladamente na região dos feixes das fibras neuronais. O extrato comercial da Macleaya cordata não alterou quantitativamente os neurônios da população mioentérica Giemsa+ e da subpopulação mioentérica NADPH-d+, mas os grupos que consumiram o extrato apresentaram maior atividade dos neurônios NADPH-d+ em relação ao grupo controle, permitindo inferir que o alimento permaneceu maior tempo no lúmen intestinal e, portanto, possibilitou um maior aproveitamento dos nutrientes, podendo refletir em melhor desempenho produtivo.

ABSTRACT: Coturniculture has been promising, progressing from a subsistence to a technical activity due to its quick production, low breeding investment, and rapid economic return. After the restriction of antimicrobials as growth promoters, some studies aimed to evaluate alternative products that would make the farming of healthy birds viable without impacting their performance, with commercial Macleaya cordata extract being one of these substitutes. The functions of the gastrointestinal tract are coordinated mainly by the enteric nervous system, and the myenteric plexus is responsible for the reflex control of contractile activities of the external muscles. Thus, this study located and demonstrated the distribution of the myenteric plexus, quantifing the total population of myenteric neurons (Giemsa+) and the subpopulation of myenteric nitrergic neurons (NADPH-d+), and evaluated the effects of commercial Macleaya cordata extract on these populations of quail jejunum neurons. A total of 240 one-day-old female laying quails were distributed into four treatments, with four repetitions of 15 birds each. The test groups (T1, T2, and T3) were treated with commercial Macleaya cordata extract throughout the experimental period using the following doses: T1 - test group, basal diet added with 150 ppm of the extract in the feed; T2- test group, basal diet added with100 ppm of the extract in the feed; T3 - test group, basal diet added with 50 ppm of the extract in the feed; and T4 - control group, basal diet with no added extract. The study included histological analysis, Giemsa+, and NADPH-d+ myenteric neuron staining. The results showed that the myenteric plexus is located between longitudinal layer fibers and in the transition region between the longitudinal and circular layers of the muscular tunic, with the myenteric population organized into ganglia and isolated in the region of neuronal fiber bundles. The commercial Macleaya cordata extract showed no quantitative changes in the myenteric Giemsa+ population and myenteric NADPH-d+ subpopulation, however, the groups that consumed the extract showed greater NADPH-d+ neuron activity compared to the control group, implying that the food remained longer in the intestinal lumen, therefore, enabling greater nutrient use and resulting in increased productive performance.

Resumo: O estudo de making-do contribui para melhorias no planejamento e controle de obras e consequentemente minimização das perdas. O presente trabalho tem como objetivo propor um método dinâmico para identificar e analisar as perdas por making-do em canteiros de obras. Foram analisados dados durante as visitas técnicas em cada obra, provenientes da observação direta não participante, aplicação de questionário e análise documental. A análise dos dados indicou que a maioria das perdas estão relacionadas às etapas de vedação e estrutura dentro dos canteiros, e em especial, para os componentes ligados ao reboco e aos serviços de concretagem. O impacto principal ligado às perdas por making-do foi o retrabalho, seguido pela redução da segurança. Com a análise de risco, identificou-se os principais pontos de acordo com sua gravidade, orientando assim a tomada de decisão pela gerência. Como contribuições finais são apresentados os principais impactos e sugestões para a sua minimização. Sendo assim, destaca-se a necessidade de se utilizar em trabalhos futuros a realidade aumentada e as ferramentas de tecnologia da informação, para o controle integrado da produção e que auxiliem na identificação de perdas por making-do nos canteiros de obras.

Abstract: The study of making-do contributes to improvements in the planning and control of construction sites, thus minimizing waste. The present study aims to investigate and analyze waste by making-do in seven companies from Goiás with the aid of a Dashboard and perform the risk analysis of the identified waste. Data were analyzed during the technical visits at each site, among which the direct non-participant observation, questionnaire application and document analysis stand out. The analysis of the data indicated that most of the waste is related to the steps of sealing and structure within the construction sites, in particular, for components connected to plastering and concreting. The main impact was rework, followed by reduced security. With the risk analysis, the main points were identified according to their severity, thus guiding management decision making. As final contributions, the main impacts and suggestions for their minimization are presented. Therefore, we highlight the need to use reality and information technology tools in future works for integrated production control and to assist in the identification of waste by making-do in construction sites.

A escassez hídrica global tratada há décadas por documentos internacionais, é também reconhecida, ainda que com baixa aderência, nas agendas ambientais subnacionais. Conceitos como o Gerenciamento Integrado de Recursos Hídricos (GIRH) e Serviços Ecossistêmicos (SE) são relevantemente preconizados a nível internacional pela comunidade científica para serem aplicados pelas instituições no nível local. Este artigo propõe uma análise da adesão destes conceitos para a governança da água na Região Metropolitana de Curitiba (RMC). Primeiramente foram elencados os planos de maior relevância no gerenciamento da água na governança relativa ao Estado do Paraná e ao município de Curitiba, bem como fatores demográficos e suas respectivas atribuições com relação à manutenção desse recurso e suas escalas de atuação. Por meio de uma análise documental, relacionamos as medidas adotadas pelos diferentes atores de modo a subsidiar uma análise da inserção dos conceitos de GIRH e SE nas suas respectivas atuações. Com isto buscou-se entender as possíveis implicações para o gerenciamento da água dentro das especificidades de governança hídrica metropolitana paranaense e curitibana, e como as instituições e sua relação com o meio ambiente podem ter consequências sobre a disponibilidade de água com qualidade na RMC.

The global water shortage that has been dealt with for decades in international documents, is also recognized by subnational environmental agendas, even though with low adherence. Concepts such as Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) and Ecosystem Services (ES) are advocated internationally by the scientific community to be applied by institutions at the local level. This article proposes an analysis of the adherence of these concepts to water governance in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba (MRC). Firstly, the most relevant water management plans for the State of Paraná and the city of Curitiba were gathered, as well as demographic factors and their respective attributions regarding the maintenance of this resource and its scale of action. Through a documentary analysis, we relate the measures adopted by the different actors for an analysis of the insertion of the concepts of IWRM and ES in their respective actions. With this, it was sought to understand the possible implications for water management within the specificities of metropolitan water governance in Paraná and Curitiba, and how institutions and their relationship with the environment can have consequences on the availability of high quality water in the MRC.

Resumo: O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar os efeitos da irrigação suplementar, durante a estação seca de inverno, no status hídrico e na produtividade de abacateiros 'Hass' (Persea Americana). O experimento foi realizado em Latossolo argiloso de 2014 a 2016, quando eventos climáticos extremos foram registrados no Estado de São Paulo. O cultivo em sequeiro foi comparado com dois regimes de irrigação suplementar, aplicados durante o total e a metade do tempo de irrigação definido pelo produtor, o que equivaleu a 5.091 e 2.545 m3 ha-1 de água, respectivamente. Foram avaliados as variáveis: tensão de água no solo; potencial hídrico, coloração e teor de clorofila foliares; taxa de abscisão de folhas e frutos; tamanho das plantas; e tamanho e produção de frutos. A irrigação suplementar aplicada em metade do tempo de irrigação aumentou em 18,2% a produção de frutos. No entanto, a aplicação de irrigação de duração fixa e a ocorrência de chuvas atípicas durante a estiagem invernal favoreceram o encharcamento prolongado do solo, com efeitos negativos sobre o crescimento e o estado hídrico das árvores.

Abstract: The objective of this work was to evaluate the effects of supplemental irrigation, during winter dry season, on the water status and productivity of 'Hass' avocado (Persea Americana) trees. The experiment was carried out on a clayey Oxisol from 2014 to 2016, when extreme climatic events were recorded in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The rainfed regime was compared with two irrigation regimes, applied during the whole and half of the irrigation run time defined by the grower, corresponding to 5,091 and 2,545 m3 ha-1 water, respectively. The following variables were evaluated: soil water tension; leaf water potential, color, and chlorophyll content; leaf and fruit abscission rates; tree size; and fruit size and yield. Supplemental irrigation applied during half of the run time increased fruit yield by 18.2%. However, irrigation applied during a fixed-time period and the occurrence of unusual rainfall spells caused soil water logging, negatively affecting tree growth and water status.

Abstract Hydrocolloids of Pereskia aculeata Miller (OPNH) are potential ingredients in food industry as emulsifiers and stabilizers. The extraction process of OPNH requires the removal of pigments with activated carbon. Because this step is critical to the quality of the ingredient and has an impact on costs, a new activated carbon has been developed with residues from the same process. Residues activated with NaOH and H3PO4 (300 °C, 1 h) were subjected to batch adsorption tests in model solutions of malachite green (MG), carbohydrate and protein. Residue treated with 85% H3PO4 (OPNAC) had higher productivity and MG adsorption capacity, displaying a predominantly microporous surface (MEV/BET) with chemical activation confirmed by TG/FTIR. OPNAC showed higher MG and protein adsorption capacity than the commercial activated carbon (CAC) did. Results for MG-adsorption capacity by OPNAC did not show significant differences in the presence of protein and carbohydrate, presenting the higher affinity of the adsorbent for the dye. Adsorption isotherms showed OPNAC to be more favorable to MG adsorption than CAC, and to have a good fit to Langmuir-Freundlich model. OPNAC made it possible to reduce costs and allowed the sustainability of the process, leading to increased efficiency in selective pigment removal compared with CAC.
