ABSTRACT: The current production of major crops, such as Glycine max L., has become increasingly adept on the use of bio-inputs, such as application of plant growth-promoting inocula. However, the evaluation of the potential of bacterial isolates from soils with different time histories of agricultural use are still scarce, and methods for isolation and testing of multifunctional microorganisms need to be continuously innovated and improved. Thus, we used G. max bait plants to attract rhizobacteria from soils obtained from three areas with different time histories of soybean cultivation. We evaluated the influence of the management and characteristics of soils on the phosphate-solubilizing bacterial population. We then tested the multifunctional potential of the isolated rhizobacteria for calcium phosphate (CaHPO4) and iron phosphate (FePO4) solubilization, considering their potential as microbial inoculants in the future. The use of bait plants enabled the isolation of 139 phosphate solubilizing rhizobacteria, including four strains with multifunctional potential. The largest number of solubilizing bacteria was obtained from the interaction of bait plants with soil from an area with a history of soybean cultivation for thirty consecutive years. The high concentration of P, Fe, and K found in the soil were associated with this occurrence. In the in vitro tests, the pH values of the culture media had a moderate negative relationship with the amounts of P made available by the isolates, indicating that other processes besides the availability of organic acids, may underlie the solubilizing action of the isolates. The rhizobacteria SAF9 (Brevibacillus sp.), SAF11 (Brevibacillus sp.), BRC11 (Pseudomonas fluorescens), and SAC36 (Bacillus velezensis) stood out as multifunctional and are indicated within a perspective of obtaining bioinoculants to promote plant growth directly, indirectly, or synergistically, contributing to increase the range of bio-inputs for soybean cultivation and more sustainable agricultural practices.

RESUMO: A produção atual de grandes culturas, como Glycine max L. tem se mostrado cada vez mais adepta da utilização de bioinsumos, como a aplicação de inóculos promotores do crescimento vegetal. No entanto, avaliações do potencial de isolados bacterianos de solos com diferentes históricos de tempo de uso agrícola ainda são escassos e os métodos para isolamento e testagem de micro-organismos multifuncionais precisam ser continuamente inovados e melhorados. Assim, usamos plantas iscas de G. max para atrair rizobactérias de solos obtidos de três áreas com diferentes históricos de cultivo de soja. Avaliamos a influência do manejo e das características dos solos sobre a população de bactérias solubilizadoras de fosfato. Em seguida, testamos o potencial multifuncional das rizobactérias isoladas para solubilização de fosfato de cálcio (CaHPO4) e fosfato de ferro (FePO4), considerando seu potencial como inoculantes microbianos no futuro. O uso de plantas iscas permitiu o isolamento de 139 rizobactérias solubilizadoras de fosfato, incluindo quatro cepas com potencial multifuncional. O maior número de bactérias solubilizadoras foi obtido a partir da interação das plantas-isca com o solo de uma área com histórico de cultivo de soja por trinta anos consecutivos. Características como a alta concentração de P, Fe e K neste solo, estiveram associadas a esta ocorrência. Nos testes in vitro, os valores de pH dos meios de cultivo se correlacionaram negativamente, mas de forma moderada com as quantidades de P disponibilizados pelos isolados, indicando que outros processos, além da disponibilização de ácidos orgânicos podem estar subjacentes à ação solubilizadora dos isolados. As rizobactérias SAF9 (Brevibacillus sp.), SAF11 (Brevibacillus sp.), BRC11 (Pseudomonas fluorescens) e SAC36 (Bacillus velezensis) se destacaram como multifuncionais e são indicadas dentro de uma perspectiva de obtenção de bioinoculantes para promoção do crescimento vegetal de forma direta, indireta ou sinérgica, contribuindo para aumentar a gama de bioinsumos destinados à cultura da soja e para práticas agrícolas mais sustentáveis.

ABSTRACT BACKGROUND: In the surgical correction of large incisional hernias, the use of a prosthesis is essential in most cases regardless of the technique chosen. The preference is for the polypropylene prosthesis. AIMS: To compare the onlay and Rives-Stoppa techniques in the correction of incisional hernias, their immediate results, complications, advantages, and disadvantages. METHODS: Two groups of patients with incisional hernias were analyzed, submitted to the onlay (19 patients) and Rives-Stoppa (17 patients) techniques, and that used polypropylene prostheses. General epidemiological variables, perioperative data variables, and postoperative complications were assessed. RESULTS: The patients’ epidemiologic profile was similar between both groups. The majority were women (58.4%), with a mean age of 65.5 years and a previous mean body mass index of 41.5 kg/m². The Rives-Stoppa technique was employed in most patients (52.7%). Those submitted to the onlay technique had longer abdominal drainage time and longer hospital stay, as well as a higher incidence of seromas and surgical wound infection. CONCLUSIONS: The incisional herniorrhaphy technique with the placement of a pre-peritoneal polypropylene mesh by the Rives-Stoppa technique was superior to the onlay due to lower rates of drain use, hospital stay, and postoperative complications.

RESUMO RACIONAL: Na correção cirúrgica das grandes hérnias incisionais, independente da técnica escolhida, na maioria das vezes, o uso de uma prótese é imprescindível. A preferência é pelas próteses de polipropileno. OBJETIVOS: Comparar a técnicas onlay e Rives-Stoppa na correção de hérnias incisionais, os seus resultados imediatos, as complicações, as vantagens e desvantagens. MÉTODOS: Foram analisados dois grupos de portadores de hérnias incisionais, submetidos à técnica onlay (19 pacientes) e técnica Rives-Stoppa (17 pacientes), utilizando prótese de polipropileno. As variáveis gerais epidemiológicas, variáveis de dados perioperatórios e complicações pós-operatórias foram analisados. RESULTADOS: O perfil epidemiológico dos pacientes foi semelhante entre os grupos, a maioria eram mulheres (58.4%), com média de idade de 65.5 anos e com índice de massa corpórea (IMC) médio prévio de 41,5kg/m². A técnica de Rives-Stoppa foi utilizada na maioria dos pacientes (52.7%). Pacientes submetidos a técnica onlay apresentaram maior tempo de uso de dreno abdominal e maior tempo de internação hospitalar, além de maior incidência de seromas e infecção de ferida operatória. CONCLUSÕES: A técnica de herniorrafia incisional com colocação de tela de polipropileno pré-peritoneal, pela técnica de Rives-Stoppa apresentou-se superior à técnica onlay, devido menor taxa de uso de drenos, menor taxa de tempo de internação hospitalar, bem como menor taxa de complicações pós-operatórias.

ABSTRACT Objectives: to characterize the outline of a project for health education and its contributions to the propagation of information on the Instagram social network. Methods: exploratory and descriptive research on an Instagram profile called “@resenhadasaude”;. Data collection: from July 23, 2020, to April 21, 2021. Interaction metrics were generated on 36 posts. Simple and percentage statistical analysis were applied. Results: there are 1,016 followers in Brazil, with a 206.02% growth. The largest audience is teenagers, young people, and women, with a gender difference of 41.8%. The greatest interest was about covid-19, sexual health, and drugs. Followers’ misconceptions reinforce the need for the dissemination of quality information. Conclusions: Instagram metrics point to the project’s validation in terms of audience interest, mostly adolescents and youth. Instagram proved to be powerful for educational purposes and information dissemination, as well as an autonomous field for nursing.

RESUMEN Objetivos: caracterizar perfil de un proyecto de educación en salud y suyas contribuciones a la difusión de información en la red social Instagram. Métodos: investigación exploratoria y descriptiva sobre un perfil del Instagram denominado “@resenhadasaude”;. Recogida de datos: de 23 de julio de 2020 a 21 de abril de 2021. Generadas métricas de interacción sobre 36 publicaciones. Aplicado análisis estadístico simple y porcentual. Resultados: son 1.016 seguidores en Brasil, con crecimiento de 206,02%. Mayor público es adolescente, joven y femenino, con diferencia entre los géneros de 41,8%. Mayor interés fue sobre covid-19, salud sexual y drogas. Equívocos de conocimiento de seguidores refuerzan la necesidad de difusión de informaciones de calidad. Conclusiones: las métricas del Instagram apuntan la validación del proyecto en términos de interés del público, mayoritariamente de adolescentes y jóvenes. El Instagram se mostró potente para fines educativos y difusión de información, así como campo autónomo para a enfermería.

Geraram-se métricas de interação sobre 36 postagens. Aplicou-se análise estatística simples e percentual. Resultados: são 1.016 seguidores no Brasil, com crescimento de 206,02%. Maior público é adolescente, jovem e feminino, com diferença entre os gêneros de 41,8%. O maior interesse foi sobre a covid-19, saúde sexual e drogas. Abstract Objectives to verify the factors related to the level of use of the right to health of users with type 1 and 2 diabetes mellitus and understand the knowledge and the use of rights to health of these users. Methods mixed methods study, convergent type, conducted with 206 participants between November 2020 and April 2021. Data analysis was supported using SPSS® and IRAMUTEQ® software, as well as the adoption of Bardin's theoretical-methodological reference guidelines. Results a relationship was found between the score of the level of use of the right to health with monthly family income and self-reported skin color; and it was verified that the more economically vulnerable a population, the more they seek for rights, besides being evident the disparity related to ethnic groups and access to the right to health. Conclusion and implications for practice the combination of quantitative and qualitative data allowed a broader view of the knowledge and use of the right to health by individuals with diabetes. Thus, it is expected that the data obtained can contribute to a deeper reflection on the subject, favoring a qualified, informative and humanitarian assistance as a way to guarantee the right to health.

Resumen Objetivo verificar los factores relacionados con el nivel de utilización de los derechos a la salud de los usuarios con diabetes mellitus tipo 1 y 2 y comprender el conocimiento y la utilización de los derechos a la salud de estos usuarios. Método estudio de métodos mixtos, de tipo convergente, realizado con 206 participantes entre noviembre de 2020 y abril de 2021. El análisis de los datos se apoyó en el uso de los softwares SPSS® e IRAMUTEQ®, así como en la adopción de los referenciales teórico-metodológicos de Bardin. Resultados hubo relación entre el puntaje del nivel de uso de los derechos a la salud con el ingreso familiar mensual y el color de piel autoinformado; y se encontró que cuanto más vulnerable económicamente es una población, mayor es la búsqueda de derechos, además de ser evidente la disparidad relacionada con las etnias y el acceso a los derechos de salud. Conclusión e implicaciones para la práctica La combinación de datos cuantitativos y cualitativos permitió una visión más amplia sobre el conocimiento y el uso de los derechos a la salud por parte de las personas con diabetes. Por lo tanto, se espera que los datos obtenidos puedan contribuir a una reflexión más profunda sobre el tema, promoviendo una asistencia cualificada, informativa y humanitaria como forma de garantizar los derechos a la salud.

Resumo Objetivos verificar os fatores relacionados ao nível de utilização de direitos à saúde de usuários com diabetes mellitus tipo 1 e 2 e compreender o conhecimento e a utilização de direito à saúde desses usuários. Métodos estudo de métodos mistos, do tipo convergente, realizado com 206 participantes entre novembro de 2020 a abril de 2021. A análise dos dados teve como suporte a utilização dos softwares SPSS® e IRAMUTEQ® bem como a adoção das orientações do referencial teórico-metodológico de Bardin. Resultados constatou-se relação entre o escore do nível de utilização de direitos à saúde com renda familiar mensal e cor da pele autorreferida; e verificou-se que, quanto mais vulnerável economicamente uma população, mais se busca pelos direitos, além de ficar evidente a disparidade relacionada aos grupos étnicos e ao acesso aos direitos em saúde. Conclusão e implicações para a prática a combinação entre os dados quantitativos e qualitativos possibilitaram uma visão ampliada sobre o conhecimento e utilização dos direitos à saúde pelos indivíduos com diabetes. Logo, espera-se que os dados obtidos possam contribuir para uma reflexão mais aprofundada sobre a temática, favorecendo uma assistência qualificada, informativa e humanitária como forma de garantia dos direitos à saúde.

ABSTRACT Objective: To investigate the association between neck circumference and anthropometric, clinical, and biochemical parameters in chronic kidney failure patients on hemodialysis. Methods: This is a cross-sectional study with patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis in Western Bahia. For the data collection, anthropometric measures were taken and clinical and biochemical data were gathered from the patient records and employing a structured questionnaire. A multiple linear regression was applied to evaluate the relationship between neck circumference and the anthropometric, clinical, and biochemical parameters. Results: A total of 119 patients were evaluated, of which 63.03% were men and 57.98% were aged between 35 and 59 years old. The mean neck circumference of the patients was 36.2±3.8 cm. A negative association was found between neck circumference and the female sex (p<0.001), while waist circumference (p<0.001), the body adiposity index (p=0.002), and pre-dialysis serum urea concentration (p=0.006) were positively associated with neck circumference. Conclusion: Neck circumference is inversely associated with the female sex and positively associated with a high waist circumference, body adiposity index, and serum urea concentration in patients with chronic kidney disease on hemodialysis.

RESUMO Objetivo: Investigar a associação entre circunferência do pescoço e parâmetros antropométricos, clínicos e bioquímicos em pacientes renais crônico sem hemodiálise. Métodos: Trata-se de um estudo transversal com pacientes com doença renal crônica em hemodiálise no Oeste da Bahia. Para a coleta de dados foram aferidas medidas antropométricas e dados clínicos e bioquímicos foram coletados dos prontuários dos pacientes e por meio de um questionário estruturado. A análise de regressão linear múltipla foi aplicada para avaliar a relação entre a circunferência do pescoço e os parâmetros antropométricos, clínicos e bioquímicos. Resultados: Foram avaliados 119 pacientes, sendo 63,03% homens e 57,98% com idade entre 35 e 59 anos. A média da circunferência do pescoço dos pacientes foi de 36,2±3,8 cm. Foi encontrada associação negativa entre a circunferência do pescoço e sexo feminino (p<0,001), enquanto a circunferência da cintura (p<0,001), o índice de adiposidade corporal (p=0,002) e a concentração sérica de ureia pré-diálise (p=0,006) foram positivamente associados à circunferência do pescoço. Conclusão: A circunferência do pescoço está inversamente associada ao sexo feminino e positivamente associada a uma circunferência abdominal elevada, índice de adiposidade corporal e concentração sérica de ureia em pacientes com doença renal crônica em hemodiálise.

Abstract Objective To evaluate clinical characteristics and outcomes of COVID-19 patients infected with HIV, and to compare with a paired sample without HIV infection. Methods This is a substudy of a Brazilian multicentric cohort that comprised two periods (2020 and 2021). Data was obtained through the retrospective review of medical records. Primary outcomes were admission to the intensive care unit, invasive mechanical ventilation, and death. Patients with HIV and controls were matched for age, sex, number of comorbidities, and hospital of origin using the technique of propensity score matching (up to 4:1). They were compared using the Chi-Square or Fisher's Exact tests for categorical variables and the Wilcoxon for numerical variables. Results Throughout the study, 17,101 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, and 130 (0.76%) of those were infected with HIV. The median age was 54 (IQR: 43.0;64.0) years in 2020 and 53 (IQR: 46.0;63.5) years in 2021, with a predominance of females in both periods. People Living with HIV (PLHIV) and their controls showed similar prevalence for admission to the ICU and invasive mechanical ventilation requirement in the two periods, with no significant differences. In 2020, in-hospital mortality was higher in the PLHIV compared to the controls (27.9% vs. 17.7%; p = 0.049), but there was no difference in mortality between groups in 2021 (25.0% vs. 25.1%; p > 0.999). Conclusions Our results reiterate that PLHIV were at higher risk of COVID-19 mortality in the early stages of the pandemic, however, this finding did not sustain in 2021, when the mortality rate is similar to the control group.

Resumo A expansão urbana sem o acompanhamento de um planejamento sustentável é marca de vários centros urbanos brasileiros, bem como toda as implicações deste ato. O presente artigo analisa os impactos do crescimento desordenado da malha urbana de Itabaiana sobre a natureza principalmente no tocante aos recursos hídricos, com foco nos bairros Mamede Paes Mendonça e Marcela. Partindo desse pressuposto, é possível refletir acerca da expansão urbana desenfreada, com uma forte ação de impermeabilização dos solos, canalização de corpos hídricos, uso inadequado da drenagem urbana e descarte inapropriado dos efluentes. Abstract Urban expansion without accompanying sustainable planning is a hallmark of several Brazilian urban centers, as well as all the implications of this act. This article analyzes the impacts of the disorderly growth of the urban fabric of Itabaiana on nature, mainly with regard to water resources, focusing on the Mamede Paes Mendonça and Marcela neighborhoods. Based on this assumption, it is possible to reflect on the unbridled urban expansion, with a strong action of soil sealing, canalization of water bodies, inadequate use of urban drainage and inappropriate disposal of effluents. Abstract This study sought to understand the development of Physical Education (PE) teaching work in early childhood education institutions in the cities of Grande Vitória (Espirito Santo, Brazil), and also to analyze the relationships established with official educational policies, the knowledge in the area of PE included in these documents, and the teaching of content related to education that was oriented to ethnic-racial relations in childhood. The research was methodologically guided by Activity Analysis based on Ergology (Schwartz, 2000; Schwartz and Durrive, 2007). The results indicate a distance between the official guidelines of early childhood education, Physical Education teachers and ethnic-racial knowledge. On the other hand, teachers rely heavily on experiential knowledge linked to their life trajectories and childhood to develop teaching activity in early childhood education.

Resumo Este estudo buscou compreender o desenvolvimento do trabalho docente da Educação Física (EF) nas instituições de educação infantil dos municípios da Grande Vitória /ES, bem como analisou as relações que estabelecem com as políticas educacionais oficiais, os saberes da área da EF contidos nesses documentos e o ensino da temática referente à educação para as relações étnico-raciais na infância. A pesquisa foi metodologicamente orientada pela Análise da Atividade com base na Ergologia (Schwartz, 2000; Schwartz e Durrive, 2007). Os resultados indicam o distanciamento entre as diretrizes oficiais da educação infantil, os docentes de Educação Física e aos conteúdos étnico-raciais. Por outro lado, os/as docentes ancoram-se em grande medida aos saberes experienciais ligados às suas trajetórias de vida e à infância para desenvolver a atividade docente na Educação Infantil.

RESUMO Objetivo: Descrever o perfil epidemiológico das uveítes atendidas no Hospital Universitário Clementino Fraga Filho - UFRJ. Identificando o padrão de apresentação da inflamação intraocular a partir de critérios clínicos, anatômicos, etiológicos e demográficos. Métodos: Estudo retrospectivo, com base em prontuários de 408 pacientes com doença ativa, atendidos no serviço de oftalmologia no período de março a outubro de 2018. Foram descritos a idade, sexo, acuidade visual no momento do diagnóstico, diagnóstico anatômico e etiológico, aspecto clínico, além dos principais sintomas relatados durante a anamnese. Resultados: Dos 408 pacientes do estudo, 52% eram do sexo masculino e 48% do feminino. A idade média dos pacientes foi de 42 anos, a maioria (84%) entre 19 e 64 anos. Uveíte anterior foi observada em 37,75% dos pacientes, uveíte posterior em 49,75%, panuveíte em 4,66% e uveíte intermediária em 3,43%; apenas 18 pacientes (4,41%) apresentaram diagnóstico de esclerite. Dos 390 pacientes com classificação anatômica, a etiologia foi determinada em 76% deles, com os diagnósticos mais prevalentes sendo Toxoplasmose (35,4%), artrite idiopática juvenil (6,4%), espondilite anquilosante (5,9%) e sífilis (4,9%). ) A uveíte infecciosa correspondeu a 49,7% desses pacientes, enquanto 26,6% eram de origem não infecciosa. A uveíte anterior teve o maior número de casos classificados como idiopáticos (49,4%), enquanto a uveíte posterior teve a etiologia estabelecida em 94% das vezes. Os sintomas mais frequentes foram dor ocular (71,8%) e visão embaçada (56,8%). Conclusões: O presente estudo confirmou a importância histórica da uveíte infecciosa em nossa população, principalmente a toxoplasmose ocular. As uveítes parecem não ter predileção por sexo, mas afetam principalmente jovens em idade ativa, gerando consequências sociais e econômicas. Apesar da evolução nos métodos diagnósticos, a uveíte idiopática continua sendo uma das principais causas. Estudos epidemiológicos apontam para diferentes padrões de uveíte nas populações, estes podem refletir características particulares de cada instituição.

ABSTRACT Purpose: The aim of this study was to describe the epidemiological profile of uveitis cases treated at University Hospital Clementino Fraga Filho and to identify the presentation pattern of intraocular inflammation on the basis of clinical, anatomical, etiological, and demographic criteria. Methods: A retrospective study was conducted using data from the medical records of 408 patients with active disease who attended the ophthalmology service between March and October 2018. Age, sex, visual acuity at the time of diagnosis, anatomical and etiological diagnoses, the clinical aspect, and the main symptoms reported during anamnesis were described. Results: Of the 408 patients in the study, 52% were male and 48% were female. The patients’ mean age was 42 years, and most (84%) were between 19 and 64 years old. Anterior uveitis was observed in 37.75% of the patients; posterior uveitis, in 49.75%; panuveitis, in 4.66%; and intermediate uveitis, in 3.43%. Only 18 patients (4.41%) presented with scleritis. Of the 390 patients with anatomical classifications, 76% had known etiologies, with the most prevalent diagnoses being toxoplasmosis (35.4%), followed by juvenile idiopathic arthritis (6.4%), ankylosing spondylitis (5.9%), and syphilis (4.9%). Infectious uveitis corresponded to 49.7% of the patients, while 26.6% of the cases were of noninfectious origin. Anterior uveitis had the highest number of cases classified as idiopathic (49.4%). In the cases of posterior uveitis, the etiology was established 94% of the time. The most frequent symptoms were ocular pain (71.8%) and blurring vision (56.8%). Conclusions: The present study confirmed the historical importance of infectious uveitis in our population, especially ocular toxoplasmosis. Uveitis appears to have no predilection for sex but mainly affects young people of working age, thus generating social and economic consequences. Despite the evolution of diagnostic methods, idiopathic uveitis remains one of the major etiologies. Epidemiological studies point to different presentation patterns of uveitis in different populations, but these may reflect the distinct characteristics of each institution.

RESUMO Objetivo: avaliar a completude e a tendência de não completude dos registros de enfermeiros no cuidado às pessoas com tuberculose acompanhadas na Atenção Primária à Saúde. Método: estudo descritivo, documental, retrospectivo, com abordagem quantitativa, desenvolvido nas Unidades de Saúde da Família de um município do estado da Paraíba. Realizou-se entre julho e setembro de 2020. Delineou-se uma amostra de 190 prontuários, selecionados por amostragem em duas etapas: proporcional e probabilística sistemática. Os dados coletados foram analisados mediante o software R, admitindo-se nível de significância de 5%. Empregou-se estatística descritiva, Diagrama de Pareto e análise de tendência. Resultados: observou-se classificação de completude predominantemente “muito ruim” (76,9%), com maior percentual de não completude para os indicadores: preconceito (91,1%), achados propedêuticos (85,2%), absenteísmo em consultas (80,8%), histórico familiar de tuberculose (74,7%) e aspectos psicossociais. Apresentaram tendência de não completude significante crescente: estilo e condições de vida (p=0,0088) e exame físico (p=0,0352). O único indicador com tendência de não completude significativa decrescente foi Preconceito (p=0,0077). Conclusão: constatou-se completude insatisfatória e tendência predominantemente crescente para não completude dos registros, assinalando pontos a serem priorizados nas intervenções de saúde pública em razão de sua importância na produção de indicadores no controle da tuberculose na Atenção Primária à Saúde que podem influenciar a tomada de decisão.

It took place between July and September 2020. A sample of 190 medical records was delineated, selected by sampling in two stages: proportionality and systematic probabilistics. The collected data were analyzed using the R software, assuming a significance level of 5%. Descriptive statistics, Pareto Chart and trend analysis were used. Results: completeness classification was predominantly “very bad” (76.9%), with a higher percentage of non-completion for the indicators: prejudice (91.1%), preliminary findings (85.2%), absenteeism in consultations (80.8%), family history of tuberculosis (74.7%) and psychosocial aspects. They showed a trend of significant non-completion ascending: lifestyle and conditions of life (p=0.0088) and physical examination (p=0.0352). The only indicator with a trend of significant non-completion descending was Prejudice (p=0.0077). Conclusion: unsatisfactory completeness and a predominantly ascending trend towards non-completion of records was found, indicating points to be prioritized in public health interventions due to their importance in the production of indicators in tuberculosis management in Primary Health Care that can influence decision-making.

Los datos recopilados se analizaron utilizando el software R, asumiendo un nivel de significancia del 5%. Se ecisio estadística ecisions s, Diagrama de Pareto y análisis de tendencias. Resultados: hubo una clasificación predominantemente “muy mala” de completitud (76,9%), con un mayor porcentaje de incumplimiento de los indicadores: prejuicio (91,1%), hallazgos diagnósticos (85,2%), absentismo en las citas (80,8%), ecisions s ecisions de tuberculosis (74,7%) y aspectos psicosociales. Mostraron una tendencia de incumplimiento creciente: estilo de vida y condiciones de vida (p=0,0088) y exploración física (p=0,0352). El único indicador con una tendencia a la disminución de los incumplimientos significativos fue Prejuicio (p=0,0077). Conclusión: se encontró una exhaustividad insatisfactoria y una tendencia predominantemente creciente hacia la no cumplimentación de registros, lo que indica puntos a priorizar en las intervenciones de salud pública por su importancia en la producción de indicadores en el control de la tuberculosis en Atención Primaria de Salud que pueden influir en la toma de ecisions.

ABSTRACT Background: The epidemic curve has been obtained based on the 7-day moving average of the events. Although it facilitates the visualization of discrete variables, it does not allow the calculation of the absolute variation rate. Recently, we demonstrated that the polynomial interpolation method can be used to accurately calculate the daily acceleration of cases and deaths due to COVID-19. This study aimed to measure the diversity of epidemic curves and understand the importance of socioeconomic variables in the acceleration, peak cases, and deaths due to COVID-19 in Brazilian states. Methods: Epidemiological data for COVID-19 from federative units in Brazil were obtained from the Ministry of Health’s website from February 25 to July 11, 2020. Socioeconomic data were obtained from the Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (https://www.ibge.gov.br/). Using the polynomial interpolation methods, daily cases, deaths and acceleration were calculated. Moreover, the correlation coefficient between the epidemic curve data and socioeconomic data was determined. Results: The combination of daily data and case acceleration determined that Brazilian states were in different stages of the epidemic. Maximum case acceleration, peak of cases, maximum death acceleration, and peak of deaths were associated with the Gini index of the gross domestic product of Brazilian states and population density but did not correlate with the per capita gross domestic product of Brazilian states. Conclusions: Brazilian states showed heterogeneous data curves. Population density and socioeconomic inequality were correlated with a more rapid exponential growth in new cases and deaths.

Abstract We present the first records of insect visitors and pollinators of Bertholletia excelsa (Lecythidaceae) in a 25 years plantation outside the Amazon biome, flowering and producing Brazil nuts. We installed a platform to observe and photograph the insects. The collected insects were stored, mounted, and identified by specialists. Six species were observed, three of them classified as potential pollinators (Centris lutea, Eulaema nigrita, Eulaema cingulata). The species E. nigrita and E. cingulata were already reported as a pollinators of Brazil nut in Amazon. This is the first record of C. lutea as potential pollinators for B. excelsa.

Abstract This study aimed to verify the action of bioactive compounds from Brazilian plants on the leader genes involved in the SARS-CoV-2 pathway. The main human genes involved were identified in GeneCards and UNIPROT platforms, and an interaction network between leader genes was established in the STRING database. To design chemo-biology interactome networks and elucidate the interplay between genes related to the disease and bioactive plant compounds, the metasearch engine STITCH 3.1 was used. The analysis revealed that SMAD3 and CASP3 genes are leader genes, suggesting that the mechanism of action of the virus on host cells is associated with the molecular effects of these genes. Furthermore, the bioactive plant compounds, such as ascorbate, benzoquinone, ellagic acid, and resveratrol was identified as a promising adjuvant for the treatment inhibiting CASP3-mediated apoptosis. Bioactive plant compounds were verified as the main pathways enriched with KEGG and related to viral infection, assessments/immune/infections, and cell proliferation, which are potentially used for respiratory viral infections. The best-ranked molecule docked in the CASP3 binding site was rutin, while the SMAD3 binding site was resveratrol. In conclusion, this work identified several bioactive compounds from Brazilian plants showing potential antiviral functions that can directly or indirectly inhibit the new coronavirus.

Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin that plays a role not only in calcium homeostasis, but also in several other functions, including cell growth and immune functions, and is considered a neurosteroid. Vitamin D deficiency is highly prevalent worldwide and has been suggested to be associated with an increased risk of emotional disorders. Therefore, the association between vitamin D levels and psychophysiological disorders, such as depression, anxiety, and mood, has been investigated. To list these variables, a bibliographical literature research was conducted in the MEDLINE/PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, Science Direct and PsycINFO databases, between November and December 2020, with no year limits of publication. The studies involved humans aged between 18 and 59 years without associated diseases. This review presents evidence of the main variables involved in this association, main tools used to verify these variables, and methods used to verify circulating vitamin D levels in populations. Most studies have indicated that the main psychophysiological variables involved with vitamin D levels are depression and anxiety followed by mood, and an association has been observed between increased serum vitamin D levels and reduction in symptoms of depression, anxiety, and mood, and there is a heterogeneity of methods for assessing vitamin D. More studies are clearly needed to improve our understanding of their role in modulating the psychophysiological aspects of vitamin D levels.

Abstract Aims: To introduce a platform called “InteractiveLab” (ILab) for collecting and analyzing ball passing networks during soccer games. Methods: The software was organized to collect data through a mobile interface and touch screen and simultaneously access that data from a remote database, allowing the automated acquisition, storage, and processing of data during games through an application from the web. The analysis is based on the concept of social networks, characterized by the interaction of players through passing exchanges. Results: This descriptive study presents the construction architecture and functioning of the developed software. It also presents the results of intra- and inter-rater reliability and a comparison with the manual collection method. Data were extracted and viewed according to the attacking unit classifications, with the following four outcomes: (a) interception, (b) lost ball, (c) incompletion, and (d) completion. This classification allows for the configuration of the data for a more precise analysis. Some limitations were highlighted, as well as future projections for the improvement of applications and analysis of the interactions network in the context of soccer. Conclusion: It is concluded that the InteractiveLab platform is a viable and beneficial tool that offers new possibilities for analysing performance in soccer. Moreover, given the lack of solutions that work similarly, this product also has market potential.
