ABSTRACT Objetive: to identify the approaches about the policy of affirmative action by racial quotas present in the scientific literature produced in the areas of Information Science and Librarianship. Methods: the methodological paths for the production of this work are of exploratory and descriptive origin. With a quali-quantitative approach, a bibliographic research was carried out on the theme in the following databases: Web of Science (WoS), JSTOR Library, Reference Base of Journal Articles in Information Science and Scielo. The chronological cut was from the year 2000 to the year 2022 (totaling twenty-two years), by searching for the terms "Affirmative Actions", "Racial Quotas" and "Law 12.711/2012". Results: The retrieval of data encompassing the theme of affirmative action policy by racial quotas returned a total of 82 papers, distributed in: 57 in the JSTOR Library, 6 in BRAPCI, 1 in WOS and 18 in Scielo. These are separated and analyzed in categories. Conclusions: we concluded that there is an approach in ICB about affirmative action through racial quotas in higher education, however, it is a small literature for the wide range of issues that the theme can develop in academic research. We reaffirm the importance of academic research in the performance of the formation of a more just, active and vigilant State in the production of an equitable society. RESUMO Objetivo: identificar as abordagens sobre a política de ações afirmativas por cotas raciais presentes na literatura científica produzida nas áreas da Ciência da Informação e Biblioteconomia. Resumo O tema sobre o qual versa este artigo gira em torno das noções de patrimônio e memória social. No desenvolvimento dessa reflexão entendemos ser um bom momento para apresentar alguns autores e perspectivas de abordagens referenciais dos estudos de performances no campo das ciências sociais brasileiras e mundial. Ao propor essa incursão teórica, temos em mente abrir uma discussão referente à potencialidade da noção de performance, pensada enquanto categoria analítica, para a empreitada dos estudos e das pesquisas realizados na Ciência da Informação cujo foco priorizado tem a ver direta, indireta ou transversalmente com a temática do patrimônio e/ou memória social. Convém ressaltar que a razão para escrever o presente artigo, chamando a atenção em especial para o conceito de performance, está relacionada com leituras de teses, dissertações e projetos de pesquisas da área da Ciência da Informação onde essa categoria aparece enunciada.

Abstract The theme on which this article deals revolves around the notions of patrimony and social memory. In the development of this reflection we understand that it is a good moment to present some authors and perspectives of referential approaches of studies of performances in the field of Brazilian and world social sciences. In proposing this theoretical incursion, we have in mind to open a discussion about the potentiality of the notion of performance, thought as an analytical category, for the work of studies and research carried out in Information Science whose prioritized focus has to do directly, indirectly or transversally with the theme of patrimony and / or social memory. It should be emphasized that the reason for writing this article, drawing special attention to the concept of performance, is related to reading of theses, dissertations and research projects in the area of Information Science where this category is stated.

Propõe-se neste artigo desenvolver uma reflexão teórica que está relacionada com as preocupações e propostas da área de estudos antropológicos das formas expressivas, focalizando, centralmente, a noção de performance e drama no campo das ciências sociais. Nesse sentido é que se busca, no momento, dialogar com os autores considerados representantes principais da discussão teórica em torno da noção de performance, drama e ritual no campo antropológico: Victor Turner, Clifford Geertz, Michael Taussig, Richard Schechner, John Dawsey - entre outros.

This article attempts to develop a theoretical reflection on the aims and proposals in the area of the anthropological studies about the expressive forms, dealing with the concept of performance and drama in the social sciences. Taking this into consideration, this work intends to discuss the ideas of the most important authors in the theoretical debate concerning the concept of performance, drama and ritual in the anthropological field: Victor Turner, Clifford Geertz, Michael Taussig, Richard Schechner, John Dawsey - and others.
