ABSTRACT This study aimed to understand the experience of the Specialization course in Popular Health Education in the Promotion of Healthy and Sustainable Territories at Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz), from the student’s perspective. A qualitative research was carried out through semi-structured interviews with students from the course (n = 20). Data were interpreted by Bardin’s thematic content analysis. The results comprised three thematic categories: the Pedagogy of Training, which presents the understanding of the training and methodological strategies of the course; the Pedagogy of the Encounter, which brings the powers that have been made in the encounter between diversity; the Pedagogy of Movement, which raises the implications of the course for the personal and professional transformation of the participants. Training presented itself as a powerful instrument for transforming perspectives and practices, in which the meeting acted as a means of political articulation and health care.

RESUMO Este estudo objetivou compreender a experiência do curso de Especialização em Educação Popular em Saúde na Promoção de Territórios Saudáveis e Sustentáveis da Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (Fiocruz), sob a ótica dos educandos. Foi realizada uma pesquisa qualitativa por meio de entrevistas semiestrutu-radas feitas com estudantes do curso (n = 20). Os dados foram interpretados pela análise de conteúdo temática de Bardin. Os resultados compuseram três categorias temáticas: a Pedagogia da Formação, que apresenta a compreensão das estratégias formativas e metodológicas do curso; a Pedagogia do Encontro, que traz as potências que se fizeram no encontro entre as diversidades; a Pedagogia do Movimento, que levanta as implicações do curso para a transformação pessoal e profissional dos participantes. A formação apresentou-se como um potente instrumento de transformação de perspectivas e de práticas, em que o encontro atuou como via de articulação política e de cuidado à saúde.

Resumen: Este estudio tuvo como objetivo: (i) traducir, adaptar y evaluar las propiedades lingüísticas y semánticas del Psychologist and Counsellor Self-Efficacy Scale (PCES) para su uso en estudiantes de psicología y psicólogos en Brasil; (ii) evaluar los atributos psicométricos del PCES adaptado, incluyendo su validez de constructo y otras propiedades psicométricas relacionadas. Un total de 2139 participantes, que incluyen psicólogos y estudiantes de psicología (M edad = 25.36 años; DE = 9.46), participaron del estudio. El PCES exhibió índices de ajuste encomiables (CFI = .990; TLI = .989; SMR = .043) y el análisis factorial confirmatorio multigrupo reveló un nivel consistente de invarianza para estudiantes y psicólogos en ejercicio, así como entre participantes masculinos y femeninos. El análisis de red ofreció importantes perspicacias sobre la distribución de factores, mientras que la validez convergente del PCES fue corroborada por sus correlaciones con las subescalas de la Escala General de Autoeficacia Percibida (EGAP). Estos hallazgos afirman de manera inequívoca la confiabilidad y adecuación del PCES como instrumento de evaluación tanto para psicólogos como para estudiantes de psicología en el contexto brasileño.

Abstract: This study aimed to: (i) Translate, adapt, and evaluate the linguistic and semantic properties of the Psychologist and Counsellor Self-Efficacy Scale (PCES) for use among psychology students and psychologists in Brazil; (ii) Assess the psychometric attributes of the adapted PCES, including its construct validity and other related psychometric properties. A total of 2,139 participants, comprising psychologists and psychology students (M age = 25.36 years; SD = 9.46), partook in this study. The PCES exhibited commendable fit indices (CFI = .990; TLI = .989; SMR = .043), and multigroup confirmatory factor analysis revealed a consistent level of invariance between students and practicing psychologists, as well as between male and female participants. Network analysis offered significant insights into the distribution of factors, while the convergent validity of PCES was corroborated by its correlations with the subscales of the General Perceived Self-Efficacy Scale (GPSS). These findings unequivocally affirm the reliability and suitability of PCES as an assessment instrument for both psychologists and psychology students in the Brazilian context.

Abstract This study sought to assess factors associated with spiritual well-being and religiosity in people living with HIV/AIDS. This is a cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach, carried out in Specialized Assistance Services that are reference in the treatment of HIV/AIDS, from June to November 2016. Data were collected using sociodemographic and clinical questionnaire and the scales Duke Index of Religiosity and Spiritual Well-Being. Survey participants (n=356) had above-average Religious Well-Being (56.04±7.89) and Total Well-Being (104.36±14.60) scores. Existential Well-Being was considered below average (48.34±9.33). The Organizational (4.16±1.72), Non-Organizational (4.84±1.24) and Intrinsic (13.12±2.60) Religiousness indexes were high. It is concluded that high levels of religiosity and Spiritual Well-Being can have positive repercussions on coping with and living with a chronic illness. In addition to providing good support in existential crises and other conflicts capable of compromising levels of well-being. It is important for the health team to consider spiritual care when assisting these patients.

Resumo Este estudo buscou avaliar os fatores associados ao bem-estar espiritual e religiosidade em pessoas vivendo com HIV/Aids. Trata-se de um estudo transversal com abordagem quantitativa, realizado em Serviços de Assistência Especializada de referência no tratamento de HIV/Aids, no período de junho a novembro de 2016. Os dados foram coletados utilizando-se um questionário sociodemográfico e clínico e as escalas de Índice de Religiosidade de Duke e Bem-estar Espiritual. Os participantes da pesquisa (n=356) apresentaram escores de Bem-Estar Religioso (56,04 ± 7,89) e Bem-Estar Total (104,36±14,60) acima da média. O Bem-Estar Existencial foi considerado abaixo da média (48,34±9,33). Os índices de Religiosidade Organizacional (4,16±1,72), Não Organizacional (4,84±1,24) e Intrínseca (13,12±2,60) foram elevados. Conclui-se que os níveis elevados de religiosidade e Bem-Estar Espiritual podem ter repercussões positivas no enfrentamento e convívio com uma doença crônica. Além de fornecer um bom suporte nas crises existenciais e outros conflitos capazes de comprometer os níveis de bem-estar. É importante que a equipe de saúde considere o cuidado espiritual na assistência a esses pacientes.

ABSTRACT The jambu (Acmella oleracea) production can be influenced by the growing season and light available for metabolic processes. This study aimed to assess the agronomic and physiological performance of two jambu varieties, under different shading levels, during the winter and summer of the Brazilian Amazon. Two random block experiments were conducted, in a 2 x 4 factorial scheme, consisting of two jambu varieties (yellow and purple flower) and four shading levels (0, 30, 50 and 70 %), with four replications. Physiological, growth and yield traits were assessed. There was no significant interaction between treatments and growing seasons (Amazon winter and summer) for growth or yield traits, nor between treatments for the physiological characteristics. The cultivation without shading screen can increase the shoot dry weight of both varieties; the yellow flower variety exhibited early-onset flowering regardless of the shading screen used; the “Amazon summer” growing season increased the jambu yield by 33 %, while the 70 % shading reduced the net photosynthetic rate, consequently not favoring the vegetative development of the jambu plants. As such, it is recommended that the yellow and purple flower jambu varieties be grown without shading screen in the Amazon summer.

RESUMO A produção de jambu pode ser influenciada pela época de cultivo e luminosidade disponível para processos metabólicos. Objetivou-se avaliar o desempenho agronômico e fisiológico de variedades de jambu, em diferentes níveis de sombreamento, no inverno e verão amazônicos. Foram realizados dois ensaios no delineamento de blocos ao acaso, em esquema fatorial 2 x 4, sendo duas variedades de jambu (flor amarela e roxa) e quatro níveis de sombreamento (0, 30, 50 e 70 %), com quatro repetições. Foram avaliadas características de crescimento, produção e fisiológicas. Não houve interação significativa entre os tratamentos e as épocas de cultivo (inverno e verão amazônicos) para as características de crescimento e produção. Para as fisiológicas, também não houve interação entre os tratamentos. O cultivo sem tela pode aumentar a massa seca da parte aérea em ambas as variedades; a variedade flor amarela apresentou precocidade para o início do florescimento, independentemente da tela utilizada; e a época do ano “verão amazônico” proporcionou aumento de 33 % para a produção de plantas de jambu, enquanto o nível de 70 % de sombreamento diminuiu a taxa fotossintética líquida, não favorecendo o desenvolvimento vegetativo do jambu. Assim, recomenda-se o cultivo das variedades de jambu flor roxa e amarela em ambiente sem tela no verão amazônico.

ABSTRACT CONTEXT: The relationship with body image, which is the way the body presents itself to each subject, can be aggravated in children and adolescents diagnosed with an human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, since these patients use antiretroviral therapy and may suffer from the adverse effects of the treatment due to continuous use of medication. OBJECTIVE: To estimate the prevalence of body image dissatisfaction, to describe the assessment methods, and to identify associated factors in children and adolescents diagnosed with HIV. DESIGN AND SETTING: This is a systematic review. Department of Physical Education, Florianópolis - Brazil METHODS: We followed the procedures of the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews (PRISMA) and the Cochrane recommendations in the selection of articles through a search performed in eight databases. RESULTS: Prevalence of body image dissatisfaction due to thinness was between 36.7–52.0% in males and 28.1–36.4% in females, and body image dissatisfaction due to overweight was between 8.0–31.2% in males and 21.9–50.0% in females. Factors associated with body image dissatisfaction were as follows: female sex, older age, low levels of physical activity, low self-esteem, higher body fat, higher body weight, greater arm muscle area, triceps skinfold thickness, and higher body mass index. CONCLUSION: Children and adolescents of both sexes diagnosed with HIV infection are dissatisfied by thinness and overweight of their body image. ABSTRACT Objective: To determine the prevalence, outcomes, and predictors of multidrug-resistant nosocomial lower respiratory tract infections (LRTI) in patients in an ICU. Methods: This was an observational cohort study involving patients with nosocomial LRTI (health care-associated pneumonia, hospital-acquired pneumonia, or ventilator-associated pneumonia). Data were prospectively collected between 2015 and 2019. The multidrug-resistant pathogens (MDRPs) identified in the isolates studied included resistant to extended-spectrum cephalosporin-resistant and carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae, and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus at microbiological diagnosis. Results: During the study period, 267 patients in the ICU were diagnosed with LRTI, microbiological confirmation of LRTI having been obtained in 237. Of these, 146 (62%) had at least one MDRP isolate. Patients infected with MDRP were found to have poorer outcomes than patients infected with susceptible strains, such as prolonged mechanical ventilation (18.0 days vs. 12.0 days; p < 0.001), prolonged ICU length of stay (23.0 days vs.16.0 days; p < 0.001), and higher mortality (73% vs. 53%; p < 0.001) when compared with patients infected with susceptible strains. Hospital length of stay ≥ 5 days (OR = 3.20; 95% CI: 1.39-7.39; p = 0.005) and prolonged use vasoactive drugs (OR = 3.15; 95% CI: 1.42-7.01; p = 0.004) were independent predictors of LRTI caused by MDRPs (LRTI-MDRP). The presence of LRTI-MDRP was found to be an independent predictor of death (OR = 2.311; 95% CI: 1.091-4.894; p = 0.028). Conclusions: Prolonged use of vasoactive drugs and prolonged hospital length of stay were independent predictors of LRTI-MDRP in this population of critically ill patients with very poor outcomes.

RESUMO Objetivo: Determinar a prevalência, os desfechos e os preditores de infecções do trato respiratório inferior (ITRI) nosocomiais em pacientes em uma UTI. Métodos: Estudo observacional de coorte com pacientes com ITRI nosocomiais (pneumonia associada à assistência à saúde, pneumonia adquirida no hospital ou pneumonia associada à ventilação mecânica). Os dados foram coletados prospectivamente entre 2015 e 2019. Os patógenos multirresistentes (PMR) identificados nos isolados estudados incluíram Acinetobacter baumannii, Klebsiella pneumoniae e Pseudomonas aeruginosa resistentes a cefalosporinas de espectro estendido e carbapenêmicos, enterobactérias resistentes a carbapenêmicos e Staphylococcus aureus resistente à meticilina no diagnóstico microbiológico. Resultados: Durante o período do estudo, 267 pacientes internados na UTI foram diagnosticados com ITRI, 237 dos quais tiveram confirmação microbiológica de ITRI. Destes, 146 (62%) apresentaram pelo menos um isolado de PMR. Os pacientes infectados por PMR tiveram piores desfechos do que os infectados por cepas sensíveis, como ventilação mecânica prolongada (18,0 dias vs. 12,0 dias; p < 0,001), tempo prolongado de internação na UTI (23,0 dias vs. 16,0 dias; p < 0,001) e maior mortalidade (73% vs. 53%; p < 0,001). Tempo de internação hospitalar ≥ 5 dias (OR = 3,20; IC95%: 1,39-7,39; p = 0,005) e uso prolongado de drogas vasoativas (OR = 3,15; IC95%: 1,42-7,01; p = 0,004) foram preditores independentes de ITRI por PMR (ITRI-PMR). A presença de ITRI-PMR foi um preditor independente de óbito (OR = 2,311; IC95%: 1,091-4,894; p = 0,028). Conclusões: O uso prolongado de drogas vasoativas e o tempo prolongado de internação hospitalar foram preditores independentes de ITRI-PMR nesta população de pacientes críticos com desfechos muito ruins.

ABSTRACT This study aimed to compare the strength and agility of wheelchair rugby (WR) athletes with different functional classifications (FC) and describe the relationship between agility and upper extremity isometric muscle strength (IMS). A total of 10 WR athletes were analyzed, divided into two groups: Group 1 (G1): FC 0.5 and 1.0; and Group 2(G2): FC 1.5 to 2.5. IMS was evaluated by a dynamometer, and agility by a zig-zag test. Spearman’s correlation was used to describe the relationship between IMS and performance on the agility test. In contrast, the t-test was used to compare strength and agility between different FCs (p≤0.05). Shoulder extensor IMS was higher in G2 athletes (p=0.001; d=3.10), which were also more agile than G1 athletes (G1=23.66s>G2=17.55s; p=0.015; d=2.00). Both groups showed a correlation between bilateral shoulder extensor strength and agility (r=−0.721; p=0.019). Athletes with high FC scores are more agile than athletes with low scores and, therefore, have greater movement speed when performing WR tasks. Greater shoulder extensor muscle strength is associated with greater agility in WR athletes.

RESUMEN El objetivo de este estudio fue comparar la fuerza y la agilidad de los deportistas de rugby en silla de ruedas (RSR) desde diferentes clasificaciones funcionales (CF), así como describir la relación entre la agilidad y la fuerza muscular isométrica (FMI) de las extremidades superiores. Se evaluaron a diez deportistas RSR en dos grupos: Grupo 1 (G1): CF 0,5 y 1,0; y Grupo 2 (G2): CF 1,5 a 2,5. En la evaluación de la FMI se utilizó la dinamometría; y en la evaluación de la agilidad, la prueba de zigzag. La correlación de Spearman se utilizó para describir la relación entre la FMI y el rendimiento en la prueba de agilidad, mientras que la prueba t se utilizó para comparar la fuerza y la agilidad entre las diferentes CF (p≤0,05). La FMI de los extensores del hombro fue mayor en el G2 (p=0,001; d=3,10), y este también fue más ágil que el G1 (G1=23,66s>G2=17,55s; p=0,015; d=2,00). Hubo una correlación entre la fuerza muscular bilateral de los extensores del hombro y la agilidad en ambos grupos (r=−0,721; p=0,019). Los deportistas con altas puntuaciones de CF fueron los más ágiles en comparación con aquellos con bajas puntuaciones, por lo tanto, se constata que tienen una mayor velocidad de desplazamiento en la realización de tareas de RSR. Una mayor fuerza muscular de los extensores de hombro se asocia con una mayor agilidad en los deportistas RSR.

RESUMO O objetivo do estudo foi comparar a força e a agilidade de atletas do rúgbi em cadeira de rodas (RCR) por meio de diferentes classificações funcionais (CFs), bem como descrever a relação da agilidade com a força muscular isométrica (FMI) de membros superiores. Foram analisados 10 atletas de RCR, divididos em dois grupos: Grupo 1 (G1): CF 0,5 e 1,0; e Grupo 2 (G2): CF 1,5 a 2,5. A FMI foi avaliada pela dinamometria, e a agilidade pelo teste em ziguezague. A correlação de Spearman foi utilizada para descrever a relação entre a FMI e o desempenho no teste de agilidade, enquanto o teste t foi usado para comparar a força e a agilidade entre as diferentes CFs (p≤0,05). A FMI dos extensores do ombro foi maior no G2 (p=0,001; d=3,10), que também se mostrou mais ágil que o G1 (G1=23,66s>G2=17,55s; p=0,015; d=2,00). Verificou-se a correlação entre força muscular bilateral de extensores de ombro e agilidade em ambos os grupos (r=−0,721; p=0,019). Atletas com pontuação alta na CF são mais ágeis comparados a atletas com pontuações baixas e, portanto, apresentam maior velocidade de deslocamento ao executar as tarefas do RCR. Maior força muscular dos extensores de ombro é associada à maior agilidade em atletas do RCR.

RESUMO Objetivo: desenvolver e testar um modelo que explique as motivações para o comportamento de divulgação do consumo de experiências nas redes sociais, considerando o efeito do materialismo. Marco teórico: adotam-se as motivações para uso das redes sociais e o materialismo para compreender o comportamento de divulgação do consumo experiencial. Método: o estudo está baseado em uma abordagem de métodos mistos sequenciais. Inicialmente, realizou-se um estudo qualitativo com usuários das redes sociais. Posteriormente, modelos conceituais foram testados por meio da abordagem PLS-SEM. Resultados: o consumo conspícuo se trata do constructo final do modelo explicativo do comportamento de divulgação do consumo experiencial nas redes sociais. A divulgação das experiências é utilizada para a constituição de uma identidade positiva e para a criação de relacionamentos interpessoais. Com base nos modelos conceituais analisados, admite-se que o materialismo pode exercer diferentes papéis no comportamento de divulgação do consumo de experiências nas redes sociais. Conclusões: ao se verificar a conspicuidade no consumo e na exposição das experiências, admite-se que os consumidores estão focando mais nos significados simbólicos do que na satisfação das necessidades psicológicas ao aderirem ao consumo experiencial. ABSTRACT Objective: to develop and test a model that explains the motivations for the behavior of disclosing the consumption of experiences on social media, considering the effect of materialism. Theoretical approach: the reasons given by the literature for the use of social media and materialism are adopted to understand the increasingly popular behavior of disclosing experiential consumption. Method: the study is based on a sequential mixed methods approach. First, a qualitative study was carried out with social media users. Subsequently, conceptual models were tested by PLS-SEM. Results: the conspicuous consumption online refers to the final construct of the explanatory model of the behavior of disclosing the experiential consumption in social media. The dissemination of experiences is used to build a positive identity and for the creation interpersonal relationships. From the conceptual models analyzed, it is admitted that materialism can play different roles in the explanatory model of the behavior of disclosing the consumption of experiences in social media. Conclusions: when verifying the conspicuity in consumption and exposition of experiences, it is assumed that consumers are focusing more on symbolic meanings than on satisfying psychological needs when adhering to experiential consumption. ABSTRACT BACKGROUND: The number of bariatric surgeries performed worldwide is growing. Among the main short, medium or long-term complications after surgery are nutritional deficiencies. Many of these, such as those of Zn, Cu and vitamins A, B1, B3, B6 and B12, are manifested by dermatological lesions before potentially fatal systemic disorders occur. OBJECTIVE: To identify the main dermatological manifestations associated with nutritional deficiencies after bariatric surgery, and the associated variables. DESIGN AND SETTING: Integrative literature review carried out at a public university in Brazil. METHODS: This was a case report and a review of health research portals and databases of national and international biomedical journals, without publication date limitation. The descriptors used for searches followed the ideal methodology for each database/search portal: “bariatric surgery”, “skin”, “skin disease”, “skin manifestation”, “deficiency disease” and “malnutrition”. RESULTS: A total of 59 articles were selected, among which 23 were review articles or articles that addressed specific dermatological manifestations. The other 36 articles described 41 cases, which were organized into a table with the clinical variables. CONCLUSIONS: Although nutritional deficiencies are expected as complications after bariatric surgery, few articles relating them to their dermatological manifestations were found. It is important to recognize skin changes caused by nutritional deficiencies in patients treated via bariatric surgery, as these may occur before systemic complications appear and are easier to diagnose when the patient does not have any systemic symptoms yet. However, there is generally a delay between the appearance of skin lesions and making the diagnosis of nutritional deficiency.

ABSTRACT BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: In the teacher’s professional practice, there is a high level of stress, anxiety and incidence of pain. With the advent of COVID-19 and the emergence of remote teaching, it is possible that this scenario has been aggravated. The objective of this study was to evaluate chronic pain, central sensitization and pain catastrophizing among primary education teachers during remote teaching offered due to the pandemic. METHODS: A cross-sectional analytical observational study. Participants were 200 teachers from different regions of Brazil who responded through an online form a sociodemographic questionnaire and a questionnaire about their working conditions. In addition, pain intensity was assessed using the Visual Analog Pain Scale (VAS), central sensitization state was assessed using the Central Sensitization Questionnaire (CSI), and pain catastrophizing was assessed using the Catastrophic Thinking Scale about Pain (PCS). RESULTS: Most of the teachers were female, white, from the southeast region, with lato sensu specialization, had an income of 2 to 2.5 minimum wages, working 21 to 40 hours a week. Most of the teachers reported pain intensity equal to eight and the body region most affected was the lumbar spine. It was observed that teachers with low salary, uncomfortable environment and longer days dedicated to remote teaching showed a greater tendency to central sensitization and pain catastrophizing. Most teachers reported pain intensity equal to eight and the most affected body region was the lumbar spine. Teachers with uncomfortable furniture reported increased pain, especially in the lumbar spine and neck. They also showed higher levels of central sensitization to pain, inversely proportional to their salary income and, in sum, teachers with a greater feeling of discomfort catastrophized more which reflects the physical and emotional damage that pain can cause. CONCLUSION: Remote teaching during the pandemic of COVID-19 impacted physical and emotional changes in teachers of primary education. The professionals perceived that their furniture was not the most adequate for the high amount of time they had to work on academic activities using computers (in general, over 40 hours a week), they reported increased pain, especially in the lumbar spine and neck, they presented higher levels of central pain sensitization, which was influenced by low salary income, and, in sum, teachers with higher feelings of discomfort catastrophized more, which reflects the physical and emotional damage that pain may cause. All these affections tend to reduce the teachers’ quality of life and, consequently, affect the teaching and learning processes.

RESUMO JUSTIFICATIVA E OBJETIVOS: Na atuação profissional do professor, há elevado nível de estresse, ansiedade e incidência de dor. Com o advento do COVID-19 e a emergência do ensino remoto, é possível que este cenário tenha sido agravado. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar quadros de dor crônica, sensibilização central e catastrofização da dor em professores da rede básica durante o ensino remoto ofertado devido à pandemia. MÉTODOS: Trata-se de um estudo observacional analítico do tipo transversal. Participaram 200 professores de diferentes regiões do Brasil que responderam, através de um formulário online, perguntas sobre aspectos sociodemográficos e suas condições de trabalho, além de serem avaliadas a intensidade de dor por meio da escala analógica visual de dor, o estado de sensibilização central por meio do Questionário de Sensibilização Central (CSI) e a catastrofização da dor por meio da Escala de Pensamento Catastrófico sobre a Dor. RESULTADOS: A maioria dos professores eram do sexo feminino, brancos, da região sudeste, com especialização lato sensu, apresentavam renda de 2 a 2,5 salários-mínimos e jornada de trabalho de 21 a 40 horas semanais. A maioria dos professores relatou intensidade de dor igual a oito e a região do corpo mais afetada foi a coluna lombar. Observou-se que professores com baixo salário, ambiente desconfortável e maior jornada dedicada ao ensino remoto apresentaram maior tendência à sensibilização central e à catastrofização da dor. Professores com mobiliário desconfortável relataram aumento da dor, em especial, na coluna lombar e no pescoço. Apresentaram também maiores níveis de sensibilização central à dor, inversamente proporcional à sua renda salarial e, de maneira somatória, professores com maior sensação de desconforto catastrofizaram mais o que reflete os prejuízos físicos e emocionais que a dor pode causar. CONCLUSÃO: O ensino remoto durante a pandemia do COVID-19 impactou alterações físicas e emocionais nos professores da rede básica de ensino. Os profissionais perceberam que seu mobiliário não era o mais adequado para a alta permanência de tempo que tiveram de trabalhar em atividades acadêmicas pelo computador (em geral, acima de 40 horas semanais), relataram aumento da dor, em especial na coluna lombar e no pescoço, apresentaram maiores níveis de sensibilização central à dor, que foi influenciado por baixa renda salarial e, de maneira somatória, professores com maior sensação de desconforto catastrofizaram mais, o que reflete os prejuízos físicos e emocionais que a dor pode causar. Todos estes acometimentos tendem a reduzir a qualidade de vida do professor e, consequentemente, afetar o processo de ensino e aprendizagem.

Resumo Introdução A síndrome da apneia obstrutiva do sono é uma desordem de elevada prevalência na população. Estudos constataram possível associação entre obstrução nasal e síndrome da apneia obstrutiva do sono, porém a existência de uma relação entre a intensidade da obstrução nasal e a gravidade da síndrome da apneia obstrutiva do sono ainda não foi comprovada. Objetivo Avaliar as dimensões internas nasais de adultos com ronco primário e síndrome da apneia obstrutiva do sono por meio de rinometria acústica e correlacionar os achados com a gravidade da síndrome da apneia obstrutiva do sono. Método Foram avaliados 21 indivíduos com queixas de ronco e/ou pausas respiratórias durante o sono, gênero masculino, entre 18 e 60 anos, brancos. Após avaliação clínica, exame físico otorrinolaringológico e nasofaringolaringoscopia flexível, todos foram submetidos à polissonografia tipo III. Os participantes foram divididos em dois grupos de acordo com a gravidade dos sintomas: grupo 1, ronco primário e/ou síndrome da apneia obstrutiva do sono leve (n = 9) e grupo 2, síndrome da apneia obstrutiva do sono moderada/grave (n = 12). Dimensões internas nasais foram aferidas por rinometria acústica, foram consideradas para análise as áreas de secção transversa mínima e os volumes de três diferentes segmentos nasais. Resultados O índice de eventos respiratórios correspondeu a 8,1 ± 4,0 no grupo 1 e 47,5 ± 19,1 no grupo 2. No grupo 1, os valores de área de secção transversa, em cm2, corresponderam a: área de secção transversa 1 = 1,1 ± 0,4; área de secção transversa 2 = 2,1 ± 0,9; área de secção transversa 3 = 3,5 ± 1,8. No grupo 2: área de secção transversa 1 = 1,2 ± 0,3, área de secção transversa 2 = 2,0 ± 0,5; áre de secção transversa 3 = 2,8 ± 0,7. No grupo 1 os valores do volume, em cm3, corresponderam a: volume 1 = 3,5 ± 1,0; volume 2 = 9,3 ± 5,0; volume 3 = 40,2 ± 21,5 e no grupo 2 a: volume 1 = 3,6 ± 0,5; V2 = 7,6 ± 1,5; volume 3 = 31,5 ± 6,7. Os valores de área de secção transversa e volume não diferiram entre os grupos. Conclusão Não foram demonstradas diferenças significantes quanto às áreas seccionais transversas e os volumes nasais entre indivíduos com ronco primário e síndrome da apneia obstrutiva do sono leve e síndrome da apneia obstrutiva do sono moderada-grave. Contrariamente à hipótese levantada, os resultados sugerem não existir relação entre as dimensões internas nasais e o nível de gravidade da síndrome da apneia obstrutiva do sono.

Abstract Introduction Obstructive sleep apnea syndrome is a high-prevalence disorder found in the population. Studies have shown a possible association between nasal obstruction and obstructive sleep apnea syndrome, but the existence of a association between the degree of nasal obstruction and obstructive sleep apnea syndrome severity has not yet been proven. Objective To evaluate the internal nasal dimensions of adults with primary snoring and obstructive sleep apnea syndrome by acoustic rhinometry and to correlate the findings with obstructive sleep apnea severity. Methods Twenty-one male Caucasian subjects with complaints of snoring and/or respiratory pauses during sleep, aged between 18 and 60 years of age, were evaluated. After clinical evaluation, otorhinolaryngological examination and flexible nasopharyngolaryngoscopy, all patients underwent type III polysomnography. The participants were divided into two groups according to symptom severity: group 1, primary snoring and/or mild obstructive sleep apnea syndrome(n = 9) and group 2, moderate/severe obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (n = 12). Internal nasal dimensions were measured by acoustic rhinometry, analyzing minimum cross sectional area (CSA) and three nasal segment volumes. Results The respiratory event index corresponded to 8.1 ± 4.0 in group 1 and 47.5 ± 19.1 in group 2. In group 1, the cross-sectional areas values, in cm2, corresponded to: CSA 1 = 1.1 ± 0.4; CSA 2 = 2.1 ± 0.9; CSA 3 = 3.5 ± 1.8 and, in group 2: CSA 1 = 1.2 ± 0.3, CSA 2 = 2.0 ± 0.5; CSA 3 = 2.8 ± 0.7. In group 1, volumes (V), in cm3, corresponded to: V1 = 3.5 ± 1.0; V2 = 9.3 ± 5.0; V3 = 40.2 ± 21.5 and in group 2 a: V1 = 3.6 ± 0.5; V2 = 7.6 ± 1.5; V3 = 31.5 ± 6.7. Cross-sectional area and volume did not differ between groups. Conclusion There were no significant differences in the cross-sectional areas and nasal volumes between individuals with primary snoring-mild obstructive sleep apnea syndrome and moderate-severe obstructive sleep apnea syndrome. Differently to the raised hypothesis, our results suggest that there is no association between internal nasal dimensions and severity of obstructive sleep apnea syndrome.

RESUMO Este trabalho tem como objetivo refletir sobre as práticas pedagógicas que utilizam o blackface de maneira equivocada na busca pela valorização da história e cultura afro-brasileira e africana. Para alcançar tal objetivo, utilizamos como aporte teórico Munanga (2008), Hall (2016), Souza (2011) e Silva (2014). A metodologia utilizada foi a análise qualitativa de entrevistas estruturadas e semiestruturadas com os professores da Educação Infantil e dos Anos Iniciais do Fundamental. Por fim, compreendeu-se que muitos professores não sabem do que trata o blackface, mesmo quando o praticam, o que é resultado de uma formação com currículo eurocêntrico que reproduz um discurso racista sem as devidas informações sobre as questões étnico-raciais. Sendo assim, práticas racistas com o intuito de promover igualdade racial nas escolas continuam a ser engendradas, “consumidas” por alunos e também reproduzidas por eles em um contínuo ciclo de repetição, cuja interrupção só será possibilitada com a efetivação de práticas antirracistas que estão em acordo com a Lei 10.639/2003 e suas Diretrizes Nacionais Curriculares (2004).

ABSTRACT This work aims to reflect the pedagogical practices that use blackface, in the wrong way, in the search for the valorization of Afro-Brazilian and African history and culture. To achieve this goal we used as theoretical contribution Munanga (2008), Hall (2016), Souza (2011) and Silva (2014). The methodology used was the qualitative analysis of structured and semi-structured interviews with teachers in the Early Childhood and Elementary Education segment I. Finally, it was understood that teachers do not know what blackface is about, even practicing, because this is the result of a formation with eurocentric curriculum that reproduces a racist discourse and without the information on the subject continue to be engendered in schools, “consumed” by students and reproduced by them also, in a continuous cycle of repetition, whose interruption will only be made possible with the implementation of anti-racist practices that are in accordance with Law 10.639/2003 and its Guidelines (2004).

Resumo: Este trabalho apresenta uma avaliação do estado da arte da biodiversidade do zooplâncton em ecossistemas aquáticos do estado do Acre (Brasil). Um levantamento bibliográfico foi realizado e a maior parte das pesquisas tiveram enfoque na composição e diversidade do zooplâncton. 15 locais foram estudados. A Amazônia ainda é uma região incipiente quanto aos estudos de zooplâncton. Foram registradas 170 espécies de rotíferos planctônicos, distribuídos em 26 famílias e 38 gêneros, 18 espécies de cladóceros distribuídos em 8 famílias e 18 gêneros, e 4 espécies de copépodes distribuídos em 2 famílias e 6 gêneros. Os resultados sugerem ainda a necessidade de mais pesquisas sobre a biodiversidade destes grupos em locais na bacia do Purus e Juruá, bem como em ecossistemas lóticos e nas zonas litorâneas, tendo em vista a carência de informações e a importância socioeconômica que exercem na região.

Abstract: This work assesses current knowledge of zooplankton biodiversity in aquatic ecosystems of the state of Acre (Brazil). A bibliographic survey was undertaken, showing that most of the reported studies have focused on zooplankton diversity and composition. Fifteen locations have been studied. There is still a scarcity of information concerning zooplankton populations in the Amazon region. To date, 170 species of planktonic rotifers have been recorded, distributed in 26 families and 38 genera, together with 18 species of cladocerans, distributed in 8 families and 18 genera, and 4 species of copepods in 2 families and 6 genera. The results indicate the need for further research concerning the biodiversity of this group of organisms at locations in the basins of the Purus and Juruá Rivers, especially in lotic ecosystems and littoral zones, given the present lack of information and the socioeconomic importance they play in the region.

Abstract Aim: This study aims to compare the sleep parameters in Paralympic powerlifting athletes during days with and without training, and to analyze the relationship between the training load and sleep on the same day and the relationship between the previous night's sleep and the training load of the following day. Methods: Actigraphy was used to analyze the sleep parameters of 11 Paralympic powerlifting athletes for 14 days (7 days without and with training), whereas Ratings of Perceived Exertion (RPE) analysis was used to assess training load. In addition, the Horne and östberg chronotype questionnaire and the Epworth Sleepiness Scale were applied. Results: Athletes show morning and indifferent chronotype and low daytime sleepiness. We found that on training days, sleep onset latency (SOL) was lower (average 5.3 min faster), whereas total sleep time (TST) and sleep efficiency (SE) were higher (TST averaged 169 min and SE 7% higher) compared to non-training days. In addition, the TST of the night before the training days correlated positively with the RPE of the following day, and the training volume correlated negatively with the SE of the same day. Conclusion: Our findings show that Paralympic powerlifting training had positive effects in increasing TST and SE and decreasing SOL on training days. These results show the positive effects of this type of training in improving sleep in athletes with physical disabilities. In addition, a good night's sleep the day before training can make it possible to put more effort into the next day's training. Therefore, guiding athletes to sleep more before training with more intense loads is recommended.
