Abstract We hypothesized that the hCG modulates the expression of IFNT-pathway and ISGs in bovine endometrium during early pregnancy. The aim of the current study is to evaluate the effect of hCG on IFNT-pathway signals and ISGs expression in endometrial cells. For this, 29 non-lactating cross-bread cows were used in the study and submitted to a 9-day fixed-time artificial insemination (FTAI) protocol. The day of the AI was considered Day 0 (D0), and five days (D5) after the FTAI, the cows were allocated into two groups: Control and hCG group, when a hCG group received a single dose of 2.500UI of hCG. On day 18 after FTAI (D18) cows were slaughtered and endometrial tissue samples were collected. There was no difference between the embryo recovery rate of the cows in C compared to the hCG. The hCG group increased the accessory corpus luteum formation rate. The hCG resulted in greater serum progesterone concentration in the hCG group compared to the C on Day 14. Only the expression of IFNAR2 and STAT1 were upregulated on pregnant cows of the hCG group compared to the C group. The pathway genes (JAK1, STAT2, and IRF9) were not regulated. The mRNA abundance of ISG15, MX1, MX2, and OAS1 was upregulated in pregnant cows for hCG group, compared to C group. The results show that the administration of hCG, 5 days after AI, in addition to increasing the serum progesterone, modulates the expression of IFNT-pathway and ISGs on bovine endometrium on Day 18 of pregnancy. Resumo: O mercado de café experimentou muitas mudanças nos últimos anos, passando por três ondas, cada uma marcando um aspecto diferente na relação de consumo desta bebida. Com a terceira onda, houve uma aproximação entre os produtores e os consumi- dores finais, o que proporcionou a atividade de turismo cafeeiro nos locais de produção de café. Em Pernambuco, o município de Taquaritinga do Norte vem se destacando nesse segmento nos últimos anos, com Fazendas abrindo suas portas para receberem turistas que tenham interesse no tema. Diante disso, elaboramos este estudo que tem por objetivo analisar as experiências de turismo cafeeiro em Taquaritinga do Norte/PE, especificamente o Sítio Conceição/Terral Ecológico e o Yaguara Ecológico baseado no modelo proposto por Goolaupa e Mossberg (2017). Para este estudo foi adotada a pesquisa qualitativa, com a realização de entrevistas, sendo todas feitas pela plataforma do Google Meet. Ao final, constatou-se que a experiência de turismo cafeeiro realizada em Taquaritinga atende às dimensões propostas por Goolaupa e Mossberg (2017), além de outros aspectos, como, por exemplo, perceber que as atividades do referido setor têm ajudado no desenvolvimento da economia de Taquaritinga.

Abstract: The coffee market has experienced many changes in recent years, passing through three waves, each one marking a different aspect in the consumption relations of this drink. With the third wave, there was a rapprochement between producers and final consumers, what provided the Coffee Tourism activity in coffee production places. In Pernambuco, the city of Taquaritinga do Norte has been standing out in this segment in the last years, with Farms opening their doors to receive tourists interested in the topic. That said, we elaborated this study that aims to analyze coffee tou- rism experiences in Taquaritinga do Norte/PE, specifically the Sítio Conceição/Terral Ecológico and the Yaguara Ecológico, based on the model proposed by Goolaupa and Mossberg (2017). For this study, qualitative research was adopted, with an interview, all being made by the Google Meet platform. In the end, it was found that the coffee tourism experience carried out in Taquaritinga answers the dimensions proposed by Goolaupa and Mossberg (2017), in addition to other aspects, such as, for example, realizing that Coffee Tourism activities have helped in the development of the economy of Taquaritinga.

Con la tercera ola, hubo un acercamiento entre productores y consumidores finales, lo que proporcionó la actividad del Turismo Cafetero en los sitios de producción de café. En Pernambuco, la ciudad de Taquaritinga do Norte se ha destacado en este seg- mento en los últimos años, con Farms abriendo sus puertas para recibir turistas interesados en el tema. Por eso, preparamos este estudio que tiene como objetivo analizar las experiencias del turismo cafetero en Taquaritinga do Norte/PE, específicamente el Sítio Conceição/Terral Ecológico y el Yaguara Ecológico, basado en el modelo propuesto por Goolaupa y Mossberg (2017). Para este estudio, se adoptó la investigación cualitativa, realizando entrevistas, todas realizadas por la plataforma Google Meet. Al final, se constató que la experiencia del turismo cafetero realizado en Taquaritinga cumple con las dimensiones propuestas por Goo- laupa y Mossberg (2017), además de otros aspectos, como, por ejemplo, darse cuenta de que las actividades de Turismo do Café han contribuido al desarrollo de la economía de Taquaritinga.

Resumo O presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar contribuições teórico-metodológicas do uso de filmes como estratégia nas aulas de Educação Física. Para isso, a pesquisa caracterizou-se como qualitativa de cunho documental, na qual foram analisados doze filmes. Após as análises, foram identificados temas como racismo, gênero, educação e religiosidade, que serviram para subsidiar as discussões da pesquisa em voga. Nesse sentido, ressaltamos a importância da utilização de filmes como estratégia de ensino durante as aulas de Educação Física, pois estes trazem consigo temas transversais inerentes à realidade dos estudantes, que podem ser problematizados pelos professores.

Abstract This study aimed to analyze the theoretical and methodological contributions of the use of films as a strategy in Physical Education classes. In this view, the research was characterized as qualitative with a documentary nature, in which twelve films were analyzed. After the analyses, themes such as racism, gender, education, and religiosity were identified and used to subsidize the current discussions. In this sense, we emphasize the importance of using films as a teaching strategy during Physical Education classes as they bring about cross-cutting themes which are inherent to the reality of students; thus, enabling teachers to problematize them.

Resumen Este estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar los aportes teóricos y metodológicos del uso de películas como estrategia en las clases de Educación Física. Para ello, la investigación se caracterizó como cualitativa de tipo documental, donde se analizaron doce películas. Luego de los análisis, se identificaron temas como racismo, género, educación y religiosidad, los que sirvieron para subsidiar las discusiones de la investigación. En este sentido, destacamos la importancia de utilizar películas como estrategia didáctica durante las clases de Educación Física, ya que traen temas transversales inherentes a la realidad de los estudiantes, los que pueden ser problematizados por los docentes.

RESUMO: O objetivo do presente relato é descrever um caso de trombose aórtica (AT) secundária a leucemia linfocítica crônica (LLC). Embora diferentes tipos de neoplasmas sejam descritos como possíveis causas de trombose aórtica, a LLC ainda não foi considerada. O cão mostrou sinais de claudicação que pioravam com o exercício. O diagnóstico de AT foi realizado por exame ultrassonográfico. O diagnóstico de LLC foi feito por necropsia, que mostrou a presença de pequenos linfócitos com aparência de linfócitos maduros na medula óssea, baço, fígado e rins. Destaca-se a importância da inclusão da LLC nas possíveis causas de AT em cães, além da suspeita de AT em casos de doença neuromuscular.

ABSTRACT: The aim of this report was to describe a case of aortic thrombosis (AT) secondary to chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Although, different types of neoplasms are described as possible causes of aortic thrombosis, CLL was not yet considered. The dog showed signs of lameness that worsened with exercise. The diagnosis of AT was made by ultrasound examination. The diagnosis of CLL was made by necropsy, which showed the presence of small lymphocytes with the appearance of mature lymphocytes in the bone marrow, spleen, liver and kidneys. The importance of including CLL in the possible causes of AT in dogs, in addition to the suspicion of AT in cases of neuromuscular disease, was highlighted.

RESUMO: O presente artigo aborda a produção diferenciada de materiais didáticos e propostas museológicas concebidas a partir de diferentes ações do Programa de Estudos dos Povos Indígenas da Faculdade de Educação da Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (PROÍNDIO-UERJ) em 26 anos de existência, propondo estimular e difundir a sensibilidade e o conhecimento acerca dos indígenas, contribuindo, assim, para a formação, não apenas, de professores e educadores da educação infantil à pós-graduação. A análise inicialmente focaliza três experiências de editoração de livros, posteriormente recupera alguns exemplos de mostras expográficas que abordaram a temática dos povos indígenas no Rio de Janeiro e, por último, tece algumas reflexões sobre o público e suas interações. Trata-se de uma reflexão, ainda que parcial, da contribuição do PROÍNDIO na implementação da Lei nº 11.645.

ABSTRACT: The present paper comments on the differentiated production of didactic materials and museological proposals conceived from different actions of PROÍNDIO-UERJ, in 26 years of existence, proposing to stimulate and spread the sensitivity and knowledge about the indigenous people. Thus, contributing to the formation, of not only teachers and educators from Children Education to post-graduation. The analysis initially focuses on three book publishing experiences, and then retrieves some examples of expository samples that approached the theme of indigenous peoples in Rio de Janeiro, and finally comments on some reflections on the public and their interactions. This is a reflection, albeit a partial one, of the contribution of PROÍNDIO in the implementation of Law 11.645.

RESUMO: O presente artigo buscou refletir sobre a dinâmica própria da transmissão de saberes e práticas tradicionais dos chamados tupi, registrados por cronistas franceses entre os séculos XVI e XVII, valorizando concepções indígenas relacionadas à biodiversidade. Para tanto, analisei algumas categorias classificatórias a respeito de plantas e animais que nos permitem discutir parte do sistema taxonômico e o modo como povos falantes da língua tupinambá nomeavam o que chamamos de natureza.

ABSTRACT: The article tries to reflect on the dynamics of the transmission of traditional knowledge and practices of the Tupi, recorded by French chroniclers between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, valuing indigenous conceptions related to biodiversity. To this end, some classificatory categories regarding plants and animals were analyzed, allowing for the discussion of part of the taxonomic system and the way people speaking the Tupinambá language knew.

RESUMO: As afecções orais são problemas comuns em medicina felina em diferentes locais do mundo e podem estar relacionadas a diferentes causas, como agentes infecciosos. Poucos estudos foram encontrados no Brasil sobre o levantamento das principais doenças orais e dos resultados de testes para retrovírus em gatos de abrigos, principalmente na região Sul. Diante disso, o objetivo deste artigo foi identificar as principais afecções orais inflamatórias em gatos de abrigos e verificar os resultados dos testes para o vírus da imunodeficiência felina (FIV) e o vírus da leucemia felina (FeLV). Foram incluídos 43 felinos provenientes de abrigos privados localizados na região central do Rio Grande do Sul (RS) que apresentavam lesões orais clinicamente evidentes, independente de idade, raça, gênero e estado reprodutivo. Em todos os gatos foram realizados testes sorológicos para FIV e FeLV e obtidas informações referentes ao sistema de criação. Em 16 gatos (37,2%), o sistema de criação era livre, enquanto em 27 (62,8%) era restrito. Dos 43 gatos com lesões orais, em 29 (67,44%) foi verificado somente um tipo de lesão, caracterizado como periodontite (n=22, 51,16%), seguido de gengivite (n=6, 13,95%) e estomatite (n=1, 2,32%). Lesões concomitantes de estomatite e periodontite foram encontradas nos 14 gatos (100%) restantes. Quanto aos resultados dos testes para retrovírus, nove (20,93%) dos 43 felinos testados, foram positivos somente para FIV. Em sete gatos (16,28%) foi observada coinfecção pelos dois vírus. Em nenhum gato foi observado soropositividade somente para FeLV. Dos seis gatos com gengivite, nenhum foi positivo para FIV e FeLV; um gato com estomatite foi positivo para FIV e FeLV; dos 22 gatos com periodontite, seis (27,27%) foram FIV positivos e dois (9,09%) FIV/FeLV positivos; e dos 14 com estomatite e periodontite, três (21,43%) foram FIV positivos e quatro (28,57%) FIV/FeLV positivos. Quanto ao diagnóstico, em 28 gatos (65,1%) foi observada somente doença periodontal (DP), em um (2,32%) somente gengivoestomatite crônica felina (GECF) e em 14 gatos (32,5%) DP e GECF. Diante dos resultados obtidos, pode-se concluir que as principais lesões orais encontradas em gatos de abrigos da região central do RS foram gengivite, estomatite e periodontite; a periodontite associada ou não a estomatite foi a lesão oral mais frequente nos gatos positivos para FIV e/ou FeLV. Acredita-se que outros fatores possam contribuir na instalação de doenças orais em gatos de abrigos, já que houve predomínio de gatos com resultados negativos nos testes para os retrovírus.

ABSTRACT: Oral lesions are common problems in feline medicine worldwide, and may be associated with different causes, such as infectious agents. There are only a few studies reporting the chief oral diseases and the results for retrovirus tests in shelter cats in Brazil, especially in the South region. This study aimed to identify the main inflammatory oral lesions in shelter cats and verify the test results for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and feline leukemia virus (FeLV) infections. Forty-three felines from private shelters in the central region of Rio Grande do Sul state (RS) that presented clinically evident oral lesions, regardless of age, breed, sex, and neuter status, were used in this survey. Serological tests for FIV and FeLV were performed in all cats, and data regarding the rearing system were collected. Sixteen cats (37.2%) were reared in a free system, whereas 27 (62.8%) were kept under a restrict system. Of the 43 cats with oral lesions, 29 (67.44%) presented only one type of lesion, characterized as periodontitis (n=22, 51.16%), followed by gingivitis (n=6, 13.95%), and stomatitis (n=1, 2.32%). Concomitant stomatitis and periodontitis were found in the 14 remaining cats (100%). With respect to the test results for retrovirus infections, nine (20.93%) of the 43 felines were positive for FIV alone. Co-infection with both viruses was observed in seven cats (16.28%). No cat was seropositive for FeLV valone. None of the six cats that presented gingivitis was positive for FIV and FeLV; one cat with stomatitis was positive for FIV and FeLV; of the 22 cats with periodontitis, six (27.27%) were FIV positive and two (9.09%) were FIV/FeLV positive; and of the 14 cats that presented stomatitis and periodontitis, three (21.43%) were FIV positive and four (28.57%) were FIV/FeLV positive. As for diagnosis, 28 cats (65.1%) presented solely periodontal disease (PD), one cat (2.32%) had feline chronic gingivostomatitis (FCG) alone, and 14 (32.5%) had both PD and FCG. The results obtained show that the main oral lesions found in shelter cats in the central region of RS were gingivitis, stomatitis, and periodontitis. Periodontitis, in association or not with stomatitis, was the most frequently observed oral cavity lesion in FIV- and/or FeLV-positive cats. Other factors may contribute to installation of inflammatory oral diseases in shelter cats because most cats with oral cavity lesions tested negative for retrovirus infections.

Resumo Este estudo aborda o histórico e a interpretação do Supremo Tribunal Federal em seus julgados ao intervir no Sistema Único de Saúde para torná-lo mais efetivo. Foram feitas pesquisas na base de jurisprudência do Tribunal, destacando-se 14 acórdãos. Observou-se que as bases para intervenção no sistema são suas deficiências e a garantia constitucional dos serviços de saúde, e que as ações se tornaram mais complexas, exigindo fundamentação mais minuciosa e adesão a novas teorias por parte do Supremo. A intervenção abrangeu não apenas o acesso a bens de saúde, mas também outros aspectos relacionados à gestão do Sistema Único de Saúde. No geral, a postura do Supremo Tribunal Federal foi afirmativa, tendo em vista não apenas respaldar a decisão, mas fixar regras para o futuro. Conclui-se que a intervenção judicial no sistema de saúde pública deve não apenas ser mantida, mas intensificada.

Abstract This study addresses the history of and interpretations made by the Brazilian Supreme Court in its judgments when intervening in the Brazilian Public Health System to make it more effective. Research was carried out on the Supreme Court’s jurisprudence database and fourteen rulings were highlighted. It was observed that the basis for intervention in the Health System was its very deficiencies and the constitutional guarantee of health services, and that the lawsuits have become more complex, requiring more detailed reasoning and adherence to new theories by the Supreme Court. The intervention covered not only access to health goods, but also other aspects related to the management of the Brazilian Public Health System. In general, the stance of the Supreme Court was affirmative, aiming not only to support the decision, but to establish rules for the future. It is concluded that judicial intervention in public health system should not only be maintained, but intensified.

Resumen Este estudio aborda la historia y la interpretación del Supremo Tribunal Federal, en sus decisiones, al intervenir en el Sistema Único de Salud para tornarlo más efectivo. Se realizaron investigaciones en base a la jurisprudencia del Tribunal, destacándose catorce fallos. Se observó que el fundamento para la intervención en el sistema son sus deficiencias y la garantía constitucional de los servicios de salud, y que las acciones se tornaron más complejas, exigiendo una fundamentación más minuciosa y la adhesión a nuevas teorías por parte del Tribunal Supremo. La intervención abarcó no sólo el acceso a bienes de salud, sino también a otros aspectos relacionados con la gestión del Sistema Único de Salud. En general, la postura del Supremo Tribunal Federal fue afirmativa, teniendo en cuenta no sólo respaldar la decisión, sino también fijar reglas para el futuro. Se concluye que la intervención judicial en el sistema de salud pública no sólo debe mantenerse, sino que también debe intensificarse.

Resumo O movimento de trabalhadoras do sexo do Brasil tem desafiado as narrativas hegemônicas sobre a venda de sexo por um tempo. Nos anos recentes, um sentimento anti-prostituição tem crescido no Brasil, ameaçando os direitos das trabalhadoras do sexo. Simultaneamente, a morte da ativista Gabriela Leite tem levado a uma renovação da liderança e reformulação de abordagens teóricas no movimento. Neste contexto, putafeminismo está se estabelecendo como uma abordagem interseccional para raça, classe e gênero enraizados em contextos historicos locais. O presente artigo, baseado em 12 anos de etnografia sobre os movimentos das trabalhadoras sexuais, apresenta entendimentos putafeminista de sexo, gênero, raça/cor e trabalho. Inspirado pela recuperação de Leite de ‘puta’ como um auto indicador para as trabalhadoras sexuais, e embasado na antropologia e historiografia feminista, putafeministas procuram resituar o termo como uma categoria mais ampla e profunda. Putafeministas recuperam ‘puta’ como um termo aplicado a mulheres trabalhando fora da família, desprotegidas da violência sexual. Olhando para a história brasileira, elas situam a venda de sexo como uma inevitabilidade prática para uma população trabalhadora feminina racialmente identificada cujos horizontes de possibilidade estavam baseados em trabalho barato, casamento e prostituição. Finalmente, putafeministas usam ‘puta’ como uma ponte para experiências da classe trabalhadora mais ampla, questionando os entendimentos de ‘escravidão sexual’ da pornofobia em um contexto histórico no qual mulheres são usualmente bens reais.

Abstract Brazil’s sex workers’ movement has long challenged hegemonic narratives about the sale of sex. In recent years, anti-prostitution sentiment has grown in Brazil, threatening sex workers’ rights. Simultaneously, the death of activist Gabriela Leite has lead to a renewal of leadership and a reformulation of theoretical approaches in the movement. In this context, putafeminismo is becoming established as an intersectional approach to race, class, and gender rooted in local historical contexts. The present article, based on 12 years of ethnography in sex workers’ movements, presents putafeminista understandings of sex, gender, race/color, and work. Inspired by Leite’s recovery of whore/puta as a self-identifier for sex workers, and rooted in feminist anthropology and historiography, putafeministas seek to resituate the term as a broader/deeper category. Putafeministas recover puta as a term applied to women working outside the family, unprotected from sexual violence. Looking at Brazilian history, they situate the sale of sex as a practical inevitability for a racially-identified female working population, whose horizons of possibility were bounded by cheap labor, marriage and prostitution. Finally, putafeministas use puta as a bridge to working class experiences more generally, questioning pornophobic understandings of ‘sexual slavery’ in a historical context in which women were often actual chattel.

Resumo Fruto de uma pesquisa mais ampla sobre docência superior no campo da Administração, este artigo buscou identificar quais as competências que compõem o perfil do professor excelente na área de Administração na ótica dos próprios estudantes de graduação em Administração. A pesquisa adotou uma abordagem qualiquantitativa, utilizando-se do Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo como estratégia de análise dos dados. O material empírico foi coletado junto a 87 estudantes de graduação de três universidades da Bahia. A partir da análise do material empírico, identificou-se 44 competências caracterizadoras do professor excelente na área de Administração, embora somente 22 delas foram mais profundamente analisadas devido ao quesito representatividade. Convém ressaltar que tais competências corroboram as pesquisas anteriores sobre o tema (MARSH, 1991; FRIEDMAN, 1999; LOWMAN, 2007; PAN et al., 2009; DELANEY et al., 2010) e, em certa medida, acrescentam detalhes a partir da apresentação dos discursos coletivos.

Abstract As the result of wider research on higher education teaching in the field of Administration, this article sought to identify the competencies that make up the profile of the excellent professor in the area of Management from the perspective of undergraduate students in Business Administration. The research adopted a qualitative and quantitative approach, using the Collective Subject Discourse as a strategy for data analysis. The empirical material was collected from 87 undergraduate students from three universities in the state of Bahia. Based on the analysis of the empirical material, we identified 44 characteristics that characterize the outstanding teacher in the Administration area, although only 22 factors were further investigated due to their representation. It is worth noting that such factors corroborate previous research on the topic (MARSH, 1991; FRIEDMAN, 1999; LOWMAN, 2007; PAN et al, 2009; DELANEY et al., 2010) and, to some extent, add details arising from the presentation of collective discourses.

O presente artigo analisa as imagens do tráfico de pessoas apresentadas pelas principais campanhas do Estado brasileiro e alguns de seus aliados mais importantes da sociedade civil, buscando entender como elas representam vítimas, algozes e a situação de tráfico em si, em suas tentativas de inculcar na sociedade brasileira uma cultura de “resistência à escravidão moderna” (termo émico constantemente empregado no campo antitráfico como sinônimo de tráfico), cujo componente mais importante tem sido a denúncia anônima de “pessoas suspeitas”. Criaremos uma tipografia ideal dessas imagens, dividindo-as em cinco iconografias e comparando-as com imagens semelhantes produzidas em contextos europeus e norte-americanos. Olharemos para as mudanças e permanências que aparecem nas campanhas brasileiras dos últimos anos, e analisaremos algumas das características específicas das campanhas brasileiras. Concluiremos nosso texto com uma breve discussão sobre os possíveis resultados colaterais de campanhas que se baseiam nesses tipos de iconografia.

This article analyzes the images of human trafficking presented by the principal anti-trafficking campaigns created by the Brazilian state and some of its most important allies in civil society. We seek to understand how these campaigns represent victims, perpetrators and trafficking itself in their attempts to inculcate in Brazilian society a culture of “resistance to modern slavery”. Such a culture has as its most important component the anonymous denunciation of “suspicious people”. We present an ideal typography of these images, comparing them to similar images produced in the Western European and North American contexts. We then look at the changes and continuities that appear in the Brazilian images over the years, and analyze some of the specific characteristics of Brazilian campaigns. We conclude with a brief discussion of the possible side effects of campaigns that are based on these kinds of iconography.

Le présent article analyse les images de la traite de personnes des campagnes principales de l’état brésilien et de certains de ses alliés les plus importants de la société civile. Il s’agit de comprendre comment elles représentent les victimes, les agresseurs et la situation de traite en soi quand elles tentent d’inculquer dans la société brésilienne une culture de « résistance à l’esclavage moderne » (terme émique constamment employé dans le le domaine de l’anti-trafic comme synonyme de trafic), dont la composante la plus importante est la dénonciation anonyme de « personnes suspectes ». Nous avons créé une typographie idéale de ces images en les divisant en cinq iconographies et en les comparant à des images similaires produites dans des contextes européens et nord-américains. L’objectif est de souligner les changements et les non-changements qui apparaissent dans les campagnes brésiliennes de ces dernières années, et d’analyser certaines des caractéristiques spécifiques de ces campagnes brésiliennes. Le travail s’achève par une brève discussion sur les éventuels résultats collatéraux de campagnes qui se basent sur ces types d’iconographie.

Resumo As minorias encontram-se em uma posição de inferioridade na sociedade e, por isso, são vulneráveis em vários aspectos. Este estudo analisa a vulnerabilidade legislativa e visa categorizar como “fraca” ou “forte” a proteção conferida pela lei às minorias: idoso, deficiente, LGBT, índio, mulher, criança/adolescente e negros. Para tanto, foi desenvolvida uma pesquisa documental em que se buscou, em 30 leis federais, dispositivos legais que conferissem proteção às minorias. Em seguida, os artigos foram organizados nas categorias: cível, criminal, administrativo, trabalhista e processual para, posteriormente, serem analisados. Considerou-se a proteção jurídica como “forte” quando houvesse dispositivos legais que contemplassem as cinco categorias, e “fraca”, a que não atendia esse critério. Observou-se que seis grupos possuem uma proteção legislativa “forte”, o que elide a afirmação de que as minorias estão à margem da lei. A exceção é o grupo LGBT, cujo amparo legal é “fraco” Ademais, consagrar direitos por meio de leis reforça os canais institucionais para que as minorias exijam seus direitos. Por fim, observou- se que o amparo legislativo conferido às minorias não é homogêneo e sim é discriminatório, além de existir uma interferência do grupo majoritário na regulação dos direitos dos grupos vulneráveis.

Abstract Minorities are in an inferior position in society and therefore vulnerable in many aspects. This study analyzes legislative vulnerability and aims to categorize as “weak” or “strong” the protection conferred by law to the following minorities: elderly, disabled, LGBT, Indians, women, children/ adolescents and black people. In order to do so, it was developed a documental research in 30 federal laws in which legal provisions were searched to protect minorities. Next, the articles were organized in the following categories: civil, criminal, administrative, labor and procedural, to be analyzed afterwards. Legal protection was considered “strong” when there were legal provisions that observed the five categories and “weak” when it did not meet this criterion. It was noted that six groups have “strong” legislative protection, which elides the assertion that minorities are outside the law. The exception is the LGBT group, whose legislative protection is weak. In addition, consecrating rights through laws strengthens the institutional channels for minorities to demand their rights. Finally, it was observed that the legislative protection granted tominorities is not homogeneous but rather discriminatory, and there is an interference by the majority group in the rights regulation of vulnerable groups.

Resumo Este artigo tem como objetivo refletir sobre os conceitos de trabalho e trabalho de mulher à luz das análises marxistas feministas clássicas. A intenção é problematizar essas categorias a partir de uma conversa ocorrida durante a pesquisa de campo etnográfica, pensando o que significa o trabalho sexual dentro do contexto histórico e atual do mercado de trabalho feminino. Situamos essa ocupação como uma variante do trabalho reprodutivo que ainda provoca grandes polêmicas entre parcelas significativas dos movimentos sociais “progressistas” e dos setores religiosos conservadores, dificultando seu reconhecimento como uma ocupação legítima. Exploramos algumas das possibilidades pelas quais o trabalho sexual – quase sozinho entre os tradicionais trabalhos reprodutivos “feitos por amor” – ainda gera tanto desconforto em grupos políticos/sociais tão heterogêneos.

Abstract The present article reflects upon the concepts of work and womens’ work in the light of classic Marxist feminist analyses. It seeks to problematize these categories, beginning with a conversation that took place during ethnographic fieldwork, thinking about what sex work means within the historical a current context of the market for women’s labor. We situate sex work as a variant of reproductive work which still provokes great controversy among significant portions of “progressive” social movements and also among conservative religious sectors, complicating its recognition as a legitimate occupation. We explore some of the possible reasons why sex work, almost alone among the traditional reproductive labor “done out of love”, still generates so much discomfort among such heterogeneous political and social groups.

O presente estudo foi desenvolvido em fragmentos de Mata Atlântica na região de baixadas do Rio de Janeiro, inseridos na área de proteção da bacia do Rio São João. O objetivo deste estudo foi testar a hipótese de que o tamanho do fragmento altera a concentração de macronutrientes em folhas de duas das principais espécies arbóreas (Guarea guidonea e Cupania oblongifolia) ocorrentes nessa área. Folhas adultas de Guarea guidonea e Cupania oblongifolia foram coletadas em três fragmentos pequenos (23 - 33 ha), três médios (130 - 155 ha) e três grandes (500 - 2300 ha). Carbono, N, Ka, Ca e, Mg foram determinados. O tamanho do fragmento em geral não afetou o estado nutricional nas folhas das espécies estudadas. No entanto, a maior concentração de Mg em folhas de Cupania oblongifolia nos fragmentos menores (5,0±0,8 mg/g) em relação aos fragmentos médios (4,0±0,3 mg/g) e grandes (3,5±0,7 mg/g) indica um efeito do tamanho do fragmento sobre este elemento.

The study was made in Atlantic forest fragments in the lowland region of the protected area of São João river basin, Rio de Janeiro state, Brazil. The aim of the study was to test the hypothesis that fragment size alters macro-nutrients concentrations in leaves of the main tree species (Guarea guidonea e Cupania oblongifolia) in the area. Adult leaves of Guarea e Cupania were sampled in three small (23- 33 ha), three medium (130 - 155 ha) and three large (500 - 2300 ha) fragments. Carbon, N, Ca, Mg and K were determined. The results showed that, in general, the reduction of the fragment size did not affect the nutritional status of the species studied. Nevertheless, the higher Mg concentrations in Cupania oblongifolia leaves in the small fragments (5.0±0.8 mg/g) compared with the medium (4.0±0.3 mg/g) and large (3.5±0.7 mg/g) ones indicated an effect of the reduction of the fragment area over this element.
