ABSTRACT Objective: To evaluate the association between obesity and hospitalization in mild COVID-19 adult outpatients in Brazil. Subjects and methods: Adults with signs and symptoms suggestive of acute SARS-CoV-2 infection who sought treatment in two hospital (public and private) emergency departments were prospectively enrolled. Patients with confirmed COVID-19 at inclusion were followed by phone calls at days D7, D14 and D28. Multivariable logistic regression models were employed to explore the association between obesity and other potential predictors for hospitalization. Results: A total of 1,050 participants were screened, and 297 completed the 28-day follow-up and were diagnosed with COVID-19 by RT-PCR. The median age was 37.2 (IQR 29.7-44.6) years, and 179 (60.0%) were female. The duration of symptoms was 3.0 (IQR 2.0-5.0) days, and 10.0 (IQR 8.0-12.0) was the median number of symptoms at inclusion. Ninety-five (32.0%) individuals had obesity, and 233 (78.5%) had no previous medical conditions. Twenty-three participants (7.7%) required hospitalization during the follow-up period. After adjusting, obesity (BMI ≥ 30.0 kg/m2) (OR = 2.69, 95% CI 1.63-4.83, P < 0.001) and older age (OR = 1.05, 95% CI 1.01-1.09, P < 0.001) were significantly associated with higher risks of hospitalization. Conclusion: Obesity, followed by aging, was the main factor associated with hospital admission for COVID-19 in a young population in a low-middle income country. Our findings highlighted the need to promote additional protection for individuals with obesity, such as vaccination, and to encourage lifestyle changes.

Resumo: O objetivo deste artigo é discutir como ocorre a mediação do literário no curso de Letras de uma universidade do sul do Brasil da rede da Associação Catarinense das Fundações Educacionais (Acafe) e o impacto dessa mediação na formação do(a) futuro(a) docente. É uma pesquisa qualitativa de natureza exploratória. O instrumento de coleta utilizado consistiu em entrevista por meio de grupo focal com oito acadêmicos do curso de Letras, na disciplina de Estudos Literários. A professora de Literatura não foi entrevistada, mas é considerada sujeito de pesquisa porque, mediante os depoimentos dos acadêmicos, identificamos as percepções sobre a atuação dela em sala de aula, suas escolhas metodológicas e teóricas. A análise dos dados ocorreu de acordo com a análise de conteúdo segundo Franco (2008). O estudo fundamentou-se em Barthes (2015, 1992), Duarte Júnior (2010, 2012), Mirian Martins (2005, 2014), Neitzel et al. (2017), Todorov (2020), entre outros. Os resultados indicam que: a mediação da leitura do literário ocorreu a partir da concepção da professora de que mediar implica uma postura de valorização do outro; a mediação deu-se por meio de objetos e espaços propositores - livros, pinturas, músicas, cartões-postais, trechos de filmes, entre outros -, os quais a professora explorou para oportunizar aos(às) acadêmicos(as) a apreciação do texto literário como objeto estético e artístico; os espaços propositores, como corredores, escadas, bibliotecas, espaços ao ar livre e a própria sala de aula, foram experimentados para ampliar as percepções dos(as) acadêmicos(as) sobre a obra e por ela serem afetados(as). As experiências reverberaram e há indícios de que contribuíram para a educação estética dos(as) futuros(as) docentes.

Abstract: This paper aims to discuss how literary mediation occurs in a Language and Literature course at a university in the Southern of Brazil, which is part of Santa Catarina’s Association of Educational Foundations (Acafe) and its impact on the education of future teachers. This is an exploratory qualitative research. Data was collected through an interview with an eight-student focus group taking the Literary Studies subject. Though not an interviewee, the literature teacher was considered a research participant because, through the academics' testimonies, student’s perceptions were identified about her performance in the classroom, and her methodological and theoretical choices. The data analysis followed the content analysis based on Franco (2008). The study was drawn from Barthes (2015, 1992), Duarte Júnior (2010, 2012), Martins (2005, 2014), Neitzel et al. (2017), Todorov (2020), among others. Results indicate: the mediation of the literary reading occurred from the professor’s conception that to mediate implies an attitude of valuing the other; mediation took place by the proposition of objects and spaces - books, paintings, music, postcards, excerpts from films, among others -, which the professor explored to give the students the opportunity to appreciate the literary text as an aesthetic and artistic object; the proposition spaces, such as corridors, stairs, libraries, outdoor spaces and the classroom, were experimented to broaden the students’ perceptions of the book and to be affected by it. The experiences rippled and there are indications that they contributed to the aesthetic education of the future teachers.

Resumen: El objetivo de este artículo es discutir cómo ocurre la mediación de lo literario en la carrera de Letras de una Universidad del sur de Brasil de la red 'Associação Catarinense das Fundações Educacionais (Acafe)' y su impacto en la formación del(la) futuro(a) docente. Es una investigación cualitativa de naturaleza exploratoria. El instrumento de recolección de datos consistió en una entrevista a través de un Focus Group de 8 (ocho) estudiantes del grado de Letras, en la asignatura de Estudios Literarios. La profesora de literatura no fue entrevistada, pero se la considera sujeto de investigación porque, a través de los testimonios de los estudiantes universitarios, identificamos sus percepciones sobre su desempeño en el aula, sus elecciones metodológicas y teóricas. El análisis de los datos fue de acuerdo con el contenido, según Franco (2008). El estudio se fundamentó en Barthes (2015, 1992), Duarte Júnior (2010, 2012) Martins (2005, 2014), Neitzel et al. (2017), Todorov (2020), entre otros. Los resultados indican: la mediación de la lectura de lo literario ocurrió a partir de la concepción de la profesora de que mediar implica una postura de valoración del otro; la mediación se dio por medio de objetos y espacios propulsores - libros, pinturas, música, tarjetas postales, extractos de películas, y otros-, que la docente exploró con el fin de posibilitar a los(as) estudiantes universitarios(as) la apreciación del texto literario como objeto estético y artístico; los espacios propulsores, como pasillos, escaleras, bibliotecas, espacios al aire libre y el proprio aula en sí, fueron experimentados a fin de ampliar las percepciones de los estudiantes del grado sobre la obra y analizar como ella les afectó. Las experiencias repercutieron y hay indicios de que contribuyeron a la educación estética de los(las) futuros(as) docentes.

Abstract Objective: to evaluate the accuracy of an antibody point-of-care lateral flow immunoassay (LFI -Wondfo Biotech Co., Guangzhou, China) in a pediatric population. Methods: children and adolescents (2 months to 18 years) with signs and symptoms suggestive of acute SARS-CoV-2 infection were prospectively investigated with nasopharyngeal RT-PCR and LFI at the emergency room. RT-PCR was performed at baseline, and LFI at the same time or scheduled for those with less than 7 days of the clinical picture. Overall accuracy, sensitivity and specificity were assessed, as well as according to the onset of symptoms (7-13 or ≥14 days) at the time of the LFI test. Results: In 175 children included, RT-PCR and LFI were positive in 51 (29.14%) and 36 (20.57%), respectively. The overall sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive value was 70.6% (95%CI 56.2-82.5), 96.8% (95%CI 91.9-99.1), 90.0% (95%CI 77.2-96.0), and 88.9% (95%CI 83.9-92.5), respectively. At 7-13 and ≥14 days after the onset of symptoms, sensitivity was 60.0% (95%CI 26.2-87.8) and 73.2% (95%CI 57.1-85.8) and specificity was 97.9% (95%CI 88.7-99.9) and 96.1% (95%CI 89.0-99.2), respectively. Conclusion: Despite its high specificity, in the present study the sensitivity of LFI in children was lower (around 70%) than most reports in adults. Although a positive result is informative, a negative LFI test cannot rule out COVID-19 in children.

Resumo A Curcuma longa L., planta conhecida popularmente como açafrão, tem sido amplamente estudada por suas diversas propriedades terapêuticas, incluindo a ação antineoplásica. O extrato etanólico da planta contém diversos compostos fenólicos, com destaque para a curcumina. O osteossarcoma é um tumor ósseo predominante em cães e humanos, caracterizado por apresentar alto potencial metastático e prognóstico desfavorável. Procurou-se investigar os efeitos de diferentes concentrações de curcumina do extrato etanólico de açafrão sobre células de osteossarcoma canino de cultura estabelecida. As células foram cultivadas e submetidas ao tratamento com extrato com diferentes concentrações de curcumina (0, 10 μM, 20 μM, 50 μM, 100 μM e 1000 μM) e tempos de exposição (24h, 48h e 72h) pelo EEA. Inicialmente, foram realizados: técnica de redução do tetrazólio (MTT) e cálculo da IC50. Posteriormente, após o tratamento com o extrato, realizou-se o ensaio de imunocitoquímica para verificar a expressão de p53 mutada e estudar o potencial proliferativo das células malignas; Bcl-2, com intuito de averiguar o estímulo de via antiapoptótica; e o marcador Ki-67, que sinaliza aumento no grau de malignidade. O extrato promoveu proliferação de células de osteossarcoma canino, com incremento de até 3819,74% na concentração de 50μM de curcumina. O composto também alterou a expressão das proteínas p53 mutante e Ki-67 significativamente, mas não alterou a expressão de Bcl-2, mostrando que não induziu a via antiapoptótica mediada por esta. Estes resultados demonstram que o extrato etanólico do açafrão apresenta potencial proliferativo sobre células de osteossarcoma canino, sugerindo a necessidade de conscientização e conhecimento dos reais efeitos de determinados compostos naturais, considerados seguros ao serem utilizados como tratamento de diversas enfermidades.

Abstract Curcuma longa L., also known as turmeric, has been widely studied for its various therapeutic properties, including antineoplastic action. The ethanolic extract of the plant contains several phenolic compounds, especially curcumin. Osteosarcoma is a predominant bone tumor in dogs and humans, characterized by high metastatic potential and an unfavorable prognosis. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of turmeric ethanol extract on canine osteosarcoma cells from established culture. The cells were cultured and treated with different curcumin concentrations (0, 10 μM, 20 μM, 50 μM, 100 μM, and 1000 μM) and exposure times (24h, 48h, and 72h). We first performed tetrazolium reduction technique (MTT) assay and calculated IC50. An immunocytochemistry assay was performed after extract treatment to verify the expression of mutated p53 and therefore study the proliferative potential of malignant cells; Bcl-2 and Ki-67 were used to assess apoptosis and the degree of malignancy, respectively. The extract enhanced the proliferation of canine osteosarcoma cells, reaching 3,819.74% at 50 μM of curcumin. The extract also significantly altered the expression of mutated p53 and Ki-67 proteins but not that of Bcl-2, suggesting that it did not induce this antiapoptotic pathway. Overall, these results are prerequisite to better understanding how natural compounds such as turmeric ethanolic extract affect cell proliferation and could be used to treat various diseases.

RESUMO Introdução As fraturas do terço distal do antebraço são comuns na população pediátrica. O tratamento conservador da fratura ipsilateral da metáfise distal da ulna é um dos fatores de risco para a perda da redução. Recomenda-se a fixação percutânea da fratura com fios K. Este estudo tem como objetivo avaliar o resultado da fixação percutânea de ambos os ossos realizada como tratamento primário. Materiais e Métodos Foi realizado um estudo clínico randomizado, aberto e prospectivo, que incluiu pacientes com esqueleto imaturo que foram submetidos à cirurgia para fraturas da parte distal do rádio e a ulna. Os participantes foram randomizados em dois grupos, um com fixação apenas da fratura do rádio e outro com fixação das fraturas do rádio e da ulna, e foram acompanhados clínica e radiologicamente por até 12 semanas de pós-operatório. Resultados Dezesseis crianças foram selecionadas. No intraoperatório, a fluoroscopia foi ativada por mais tempo na fixação da ulna (p = 0,011) e o tempo cirúrgico foi maior nesse grupo (p = 0,014). Nas avaliações pós-operatórias, o grupo cuja cirurgia envolveu a fixação de ambos os ossos teve escore de dor menor depois da cirurgia (p < 0,001) e menos tempo de afastamento da escola (p < 0,001). Conclusões Neste estudo, a dor pós-operatória e o afastamento da escola foram menores quando se realizou fixação do rádio e da ulna. Nível de Evidência II; Estudo randomizado controlado.

ABSTRACT Introduction Fractures of the distal third of the forearm are common in the pediatric population. Conservative treatment of an ipsilateral fracture of the distal ulna metaphysis is one of the risk factors for loss of reduction. Percutaneous fixation of the fracture with K-wires is recommended. This study aims to evaluate the outcome of percutaneous fixation of both bones performed as the primary treatment. Materials and Methods A randomized, open, prospective, clinical trial was conducted, including skeletally immature patients who underwent surgery for fractures of the distal radius and ulna. They were randomized into two groups, one with fixation only of the radius fracture and the other with fixation of both the radius and the ulna fractures, and they were followed clinically and radiologically for up to 12 weeks postoperatively. Results Sixteen children were selected. In the intraoperative period, fluoroscopy was activated for a longer time when fixing the ulna (p = 0.011) and the surgical time was longer in this group (p = 0.014). In the postoperative evaluations, the group whose surgery involved the fixation of both bones had a lower postoperative pain score (p <0.001) and less time away from school (p <0.001). Conclusions In this study, postoperative pain and absence from school were both less when fixation of the radius and ulna was performed. Evidence Level II; Randomized Controlled Study.

ABSTRACT Determination of the chromosome base number of a taxon is fundamental to understanding karyotypic variation and its implications for the evolution of that group. This usually requires careful evaluation of cytological literature and robust phylogenetic support. The base number for the family Rutaceae (x = 9 or x = 18) has long been the subject of debate. Here, we analyzed the banding pattern, rDNA sites, and genome size of Dictyoloma vandellianum, subfamily Cneoroideae, the sister group of the remaining Rutaceae, and revised critical points about the chromosome base number of the family. We found that this species has n = 9, which differs from the n = 18 possessed by other cytologically known Cneoroideae species. Thus, n = 9 occurs in the main clades of Rutaceae and is the most probable base number of the family. The hypothesis of x = 18 as the base number is no longer sustainable, although n = 18 is very common in Rutaceae. Moreover, the fluorescent banding pattern and the relatively large genome size (1C = 1.3 pg) of D. vandellianum suggest that its chromosomal organization is highly divergent from Aurantieae, the only large Rutaceae clade where species with n = 9 are greatly dominant.

Resumo A parentalização compreende um fenômeno de reversão de papéis entre os subsistemas familiares, incluindo distorções de papéis e inversão de hierarquia. Este estudo teve como objetivos adaptar e buscar evidências de validade do Questionário sobre a Parentalização para o contexto brasileiro. Após procedimentos de tradução, o instrumento foi aplicado em 868 adultos de quatro regiões do Brasil, sendo 55,4% mulheres. Análises fatoriais exploratórias e confirmatórias revelaram a solução de três fatores para a parentalização (i.e., parentalização emocional, parentalização instrumental e percepção de injustiça) como adequada, com satisfatórios índices de consistência interna, consonante com a teoria sobre o construto. Também se encontraram relações com outras variáveis conforme esperado, por exemplo, as pessoas que apresentavam indicadores de parentalização no discurso mostraram maiores níveis nos três fatores do construto; já as mulheres mostraram maiores níveis de parentalização do que os homens. A versão brasileira do instrumento apresentou satisfatórias evidências de validade e indicadores adequados de fidedignidade.

Abstract Parentification involves a role reversal phenomenon between family subsystems, including role distortions and hierarchy inversion. The purpose of this study was to adapt and search for validity evidence of the Parentification Questionnaire for the Brazilian context. After translation procedures, the authors applied the instrument in 868 adults of four geographic regions of Brazil, of which 55.4 percent were women. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses revealed the solution of three parentification factors (i.e., emotional parenting, instrumental parenting and perceived unfairness) as adequate, with satisfactory internal consistency rates, following the construct theory. As expected, the authors also found relations with other variables; for example, people who presented parentification indicators in their speeches displayed higher levels in the three factors of the construct; while women displayed higher levels of parentification than men. The Brazilian version of the instrument showed satisfactory validity evidence and appropriate reliability indicators.

Resumen La parentalización comprende un fenómeno de reversión de roles entre los subsistemas familiares, incluyendo distorsiones de roles e inversión de jerarquía. Este estudio tuvo como objetivos adaptar y buscar evidencias de validez del Inventario sobre la Parentalización para el contexto brasileño. Después de procedimientos de traducción, el instrumento fue aplicado en 868 adultos de cuatro regiones de Brasil, siendo 55,4% mujeres. Análisis factoriales exploratorias y confirmatorias revelaron la solución de tres factores para la parentalización (i.e., parentalización emocional, parentalización instrumental y percepción de la injusticia) como adecuada, con índices de consistencia interna satisfactorios, consonante con la teoría sobre el constructo. Conforme esperado, también se encontraron relaciones con otras variables, por ejemplo: las personas que presentaban indicadores de parentalización en el discurso mostraron niveles más altos en los tres factores del constructo; ya mujeres mostraron niveles más altos de parentalización que los hombres. La versión brasileña del instrumento presentó satisfactorias evidencias de validez e indicadores adecuados de confiabilidad.

RESUMO O objetivo do artigo foi caracterizar arranjos e ações de coordenação do cuidado desenvolvidos pelo Consultório na Rua (CnaR). Foi realizado estudo qualitativo a partir de observação participante e entrevistas com profissionais do CnaR e serviços de referência em um município de grande porte. A coordenação do cuidado foi analisada nas dimensões horizontal e vertical. Os resultados mostram que a coordenação horizontal é fortalecida pelo acolhimento, pela presença e insistência da equipe em estar nas ruas, em reunir-se formal e informalmente, pela plasticidade da agenda e pelos diversos agenciamentos para garantia da estada dos usuários em outros espaços dentro e fora do setor saúde. O desenvolvimento de ações intersetoriais enfrenta diferentes concepções das políticas e do direito à saúde entre os órgãos governamentais. A coordenação entre níveis é ainda mais frágil pela fragmentação dos serviços, ausência de comunicação profissional, exigência de documentos, desresponsabilização dos demais serviços e precariedade dos vínculos laborais que impediam a tessitura de relações duradouras na rede. Iniciativas de coordenação do cuidado pelo CnaR reafirmam seu papel estratégico na composição de redes, negociações, tensões e desconfortos que pode provocar ao reconduzir, ainda que de forma parcial, excluídos ao campo da cidadania e do direito à saúde.

ABSTRACT The aim of this paper is to characterize the arrangements and actions of coordination of care developed by the ‘Street Clinic’ (Consultório na Rua/CnaR). A qualitative study was carried out based on participant observation and interviews with CnaR professionals and reference services in a large city. The care coordination was analyzed in the horizontal and vertical dimensions. The results show that the horizontal coordination is strengthened by the reception, presence, and insistence of the team in being on the streets, in meeting formally and informally, by the schedule flexibility, and by the various actions to ensure the users’ permanence in other spaces inside and outside the healthcare sector. The development of intersectoral actions faces different conceptions of the policies and the right to health among governmental agencies. Coordination between levels is even more fragile due to the fragmentation of services, lack of professional communication, document requirements, non-accountability of other services, and precarious labor relations that prevent the construction of long-lasting relationships. CnaR’s care coordination initiatives reaffirm its strategic role in the weaving of networks, negotiations, tensions and discomforts that it can provoke by bringing, even partially, excluded people back to the field of citizenship and the right to health.

Green Cavendish banana peel and pulp flours were obtained by three drying methods: oven dryer at 70 °C; air fryer at 180 °C and domestic oven at 180 °C, being the latter two new possibilities. Bioactive constituents using paper spray ionization mass spectrometry (PS-MS), phenolic identification and quantification by ultra-performance liquid chromatography with UV-Visible detection (UPLC/UV-Vis) and antioxidant capacity were evaluated. Phenolic acids showed distinct thermal stability between the treatments. Gallic acid was the predominant compound, ranging from (29.56 to 1211.74 mg 100 g-1) and had higher concentration than that found in other bananas described in literature. Green Cavendish banana flour is an advantageous source of bioactive compounds and antioxidant capacity, especially its peel. 26 compounds were identified by PS-MS: phenolics, organic acids, sugars, amino acid, phytosterol, iridoid and coumarin derivatives. Green Cavendish banana flour has great functional potential, and the air fryer can be a promising alternative for drying.

RESUMO O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar o perfil de formação e produção científica do fisioterapeuta pesquisador brasileiro. Trata-se de um estudo transversal, realizado por meio de levantamento dos currículos profissionais cadastrados na Plataforma Lattes do Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq), atualizados nos últimos 5 anos. As principais variáveis analisadas foram sexo, distribuição dos fisioterapeutas pelo Brasil, tipo de instituição de graduação, local de atuação, formação complementar, produções científicas e participação em eventos. Foram encontrados 47.741 currículos, dos quais 17.864 estavam dentro dos critérios de seleção da pesquisa e foram analisados. Predominaram fisioterapeutas do sexo feminino (75,5%) e da região Sudeste (35%). A maioria é graduada em instituições privadas (75%), realizou pós-graduação lato sensu (61,4%) e trabalhou em universidades (30%). Existem diferenças entre os sexos com relação às produções, os eventos e a formação complementar, com o melhor desempenho do sexo masculino (p<0,001) - os graduados em instituição pública têm mais produções, eventos e atividades de formação complementar (p<0,001). Os profissionais graduados em instituições privadas, porém, realizam mais cursos de pós-graduação lato sensu (p=0,05). Conclui-se, portanto, que a maioria dos fisioterapeutas pesquisadores do Brasil é do sexo feminino, graduada na região Sudeste, formada em instituições privadas, realizou pós-graduação lato sensu e trabalha em universidades. Apesar da maioria feminina, os profissionais do sexo masculino e os formados em instituições públicas apresentam maior quantidade de produções, participações em eventos e formações complementares.

ABSTRACT To evaluate the academic background and scientific productions’ profile of researcher physiotherapists in Brazil. The study was cross-sectional in design and performed by analyzing the professional resumes that have been updated within the last 5 years in the Lattes Platform of the Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq). The main variables analyzed were sex, geographical distribution, kind of undergraduate institution, working location, complementary training, scientific production, and participation in events. The analysis was carried out on 17,864 curricula which were within the selection criteria, out of a total of 47,741. There was a predominance of female therapists (75.5%) and therapists from the southeast region (35%). Most have completed their undergraduate degree in private institutions (75%) and graduate programs (61.4%), and work at universities (30%). Males perform better (p<0.001) in scientific productions, participation in events, and complementary training activities. Graduates from public institutions have more scientific productions, events, and complementary training activities (p<0.001). However, professionals that have completed their undergraduate degree in private institutions do graduate programs the most (p=0.05). Most researcher physical therapists in Brazil are females, have completed their undergraduate degrees in the Southeast region and in private institutions, have completed graduate programs and work in universities. Despite the female predominance, male professionals and those therapists who have completed their undergraduate degree from public institutions have a greater amount of scientific productions, participation in events and complementary degrees.

Resumo O objetivo do presente estudo foi avaliar uma metodologia de vigilância ativa da leishmaniose visceral por meio da detecção de DNA de Leishmania em órgãos de animais silvestres atropelados, de novembro de 2016 a outubro de 2018, no Norte do Paraná, Brasil. Os pontos de coleta dos animais silvestres atropelados foram georreferenciados. Os animais foram autopsiados e amostras de medula óssea, linfonodo, fígado, baço, e pele de orelha foram coletados. DNA genômico foi extraído e submetido à PCR para amplificação de quatro diferentes regiões de Leishmania spp.: 18S, kDNA, HSP70 e ITS1, sequenciamento de DNA foi realizado. Os iniciadores utilizados para a amplificação dos genes kDNA, ITS1 e HSP70 apresentaram resultados inespecíficos. Dos 66 mamíferos coletados em 24 diferentes municípios, um tamanduá-mirim (Tamandua tetradactyla) apresentou DNA de Leishmania spp. em linfonodo na PCR, que amplificou o gene 18S. O sequenciamento de DNA confirmou o resultado e demonstrou a presença do subgênero Viannia. Sugere-se o uso da metodologia apresentada no presente estudo na vigilância ativa e precoce da leishmaniose visceral em área não endêmica.

Abstract The present study aimed to evaluate a methodology for active surveillance of visceral leishmaniasis by detecting Leishmania DNA in organs of wild road-killed animals from November 2016 to October 2018 in the North of Paraná, Brazil. The collection points of road-killed wild animals were georeferenced. The animals were autopsied and samples of bone marrow, lymph node, liver, spleen, and ear skin were collected. Genomic DNA was extracted and subjected to PCR for amplification of Leishmania spp. 18S, kinetoplastic DNA (kDNA), HSP70, and ITS1 genes, and DNA sequencing was performed. The primers used for the amplification of kDNA, ITS1, and HSP70 genes presented non-specific results. Of the 66 mammals collected from 24 different municipalities, one Southern Tamandua (Tamandua tetradactyla) presented DNA of Leishmania spp. in lymph nodes by 18S PCR. DNA sequencing confirmed the results of the subgenus, Viannia, identification. We suggest using the methodology showed in the present study in the active and early surveillance of visceral leishmaniasis in a non-endemic area.

Objective to analyze national and international scientific evidence that addresses the perception of nursing students of nurses’ role in Primary Health Care. Method this is an integrative review using the Virtual Health Library database and analysis performed by Classical Textual Statistics and Descending Hierarchical Classification from the conclusions or final thoughts, using the IRAMUTEQ® Software. Results Of the 83 articles found, five were selected, and the analysis resulted in three classes: Scarcity of nurses to work in Primary Health Care; University education linked to Primary Health Care and Students’ perception about the nursing profession. Conclusion the process of nursing knowledge education and/or production still links the profession to subjective characteristics, pointing to the need to advance towards evidence-based nursing. Furthermore, the research revealed scarcity of primary studies addressing the theme of this production.

Objetivo analizar evidencia científica nacional e internacional que aborde la percepción de los estudiantes de enfermería sobre el papel de las enfermeras en la Atención Primaria de Salud. Método se trata de una revisión integrativa utilizando la base de datos de la Biblioteca de Salud Virtual y el análisis realizado por Estadísticas Textuales Clásicas y Clasificación Jerárquica Descendente de las conclusiones o consideraciones finales, utilizando el software IRAMUTEQ®. Resultados se seleccionaron 5 artículos de los 83 encontrados, y el análisis resultó en tres clases: Escasez de enfermeras para trabajar en la Atención Primaria de Salud; Educación universitaria vinculada a la Atención Primaria de Salud y Percepción de los estudiantes sobre la profesión de enfermería. Conclusión el proceso de educación y/o producción del conocimiento de enfermería sigue vinculando la profesión a las características subjetivas, señalando la necesidad de avanzar hacia la enfermería basada en la evidencia. También se observó la escasez de estudios primarios que abordan el tema de esta producción.

Resultados foram selecionados 5 artigos dos 83 encontrados, e a análise resultou em três classes: Escassez de enfermeiros(as) para atuarem na Atenção Primária à Saúde; Formação universitária vinculada à Atenção Primária à Saúde e Percepção dos estudantes sobre a profissão de enfermagem. Conclusão o processo de formação e/ou produção do conhecimento em enfermagem ainda vincula a profissão a características subjetivas, apontando para a necessidade de avançarmos na direção de uma enfermagem pautada em evidências. Observou-se ainda a escassez de estudos primários abordando a temática dessa produção.
