INEP conducts a census with Brazilian Higher Education Institutions, enabling an overview of Higher Education. The aim is to identify the profile of newcomers in teaching courses in Minas Gerais between 2011 and 2021. This is a qualitative-quantitative and documentary study that analyzed microdata from the Higher Education Census between 2011 and 2021. Only a minority of newcomers are enrolled in teaching courses. The majority of them come from public schools, are in attending online classes, in private institutions, and study at night. The admissions through reserved slots are mostly based on the criteria of being from public schools, self-identified as mixed-race, female, and aged between 18 and 24 years. It is concluded that teaching courses are not attractive, which can be explained by the devaluation of the teaching career.

El INEP realiza un censo con las Instituciones de Educación Superior brasileñas que permite tener una visión general de la Educación Superior. Se propone identificar el perfil de los ingresantes en licenciaturas en Minas Gerais entre 2011 y 2021. Es un estudio cuali-cuantitativo y documental que analizó los microdatos del Censo de Educación Superior entre 2011 y 2021. Solo una minoría de los ingresantes se encuentra matriculada en licenciaturas. La mayoría proviene de escuelas públicas, están en la modalidad a distancia, en instituciones privadas y en horario nocturno. El ingreso a través de reservas de plazas ocurre en su mayoría por ser provenientes de escuelas públicas, se identifican principalmente como pardos, del sexo femenino y con edades entre 18 y 24 años. Se concluye que las licenciaturas no son atractivas, lo que puede explicarse por la desvalorización de la carrera docente.

Propõe-se identificar o perfil dos/as ingressantes nos cursos de licenciatura em Minas Gerais entre 2011 e 2021. São, na maioria, oriundos da rede pública, estão na EAD, na rede particular e no noturno. O ingresso por meio de reserva de vagas, se dá, na maior parte pela prerrogativa de serem de escolas públicas; declaram-se na sua maioria como pardos; do sexo feminino e com idade entre 18 e 24 anos. Conclui-se que as licenciaturas não são atrativas fato que pode ser explicado pela desvalorização do trabalho e da carreira docente na educação básica.

L’objectif de cet article est d’analyser l’immigration de travail du Sud vers le Nord, en particulier au cours des deux dernières décennies du XXIe siècle, en soulignant ses liens avec le fonctionnement du marché du travail et avec les politiques publiques des pays qui accueillent les immigrés dans le Nord global. The aim of the article is to analyze South-North labor immigration, especially in the last two decades of the 21st century, highlighting its imbrications with the functioning of the labor market and with the public policies of immigrant-receiving countries in the global North. The analysis is made in the light of historical-dialectical materialism, the research has an exploratory approach and the methodology is based on a review of the literature pertinent to studies relating to work and immigration, analysis of reports on international migration from the International Organization for Migration (IOM, 2020, 2021 e 2022), the Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations (UN/DESA), the World Migration Report (2019) and the International Labor Organization. Resumo O objetivo do artigo é analisar o trabalho docente na Educação Básica no Brasil, especialmente a partir de 2020, quando se instaura a Pandemia Covid-19, em meio à difusão do teletrabalho no bojo da Indústria 4.0, sob o aprofundamento do Neoliberalismo e da Nova Gestão Pública (NGP). A metodologia foi baseada em estudos bibliográficos, documentais e relatórios de pesquisas, bem como análise de dados do Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE) e Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais Anísio Teixeira (INEP), em períodos selecionados. Os resultados indicam a difusão do teletrabalho sob o neoliberalismo e a NGP, implicando no aprofundamento da já precarizada carreira do profissional docente sob a pandemia.

Abstract The objective of the article is to analyze the teaching work in Basic Education in Brazil, especially from 2020, when the Covid-19 pandemic was declared, boosting the diffusion of telework in the context of Industry 4.0, the deepening of neoliberalism and the New Public Management (NGP). The methodology was based on bibliographic, documentary and research reports, as well as data analysis from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) and National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (INEP), in selected periods. The results indicate the spread of telework under neoliberalism and NGP, implying the deepening of the already precarious career of professional teaching under the pandemic.

Resumo O presente estudo apresenta resultados parciais de pesquisa de mestrado, que tem por objetivo analisar a sociabilidade dos adolescentes em conflito com a lei no município de Uberlândia (MG) no ano de 2017, mais especificamente os adolescentes do sexo masculino que cumprem medida socioeducativa de internação no Centro Socioeducativo de Uberlândia (CSEUB). Buscou-se então compreender quais os sentidos atribuídos pelos sujeitos às suas experiências sociais. Optou-se pelo materialismo histórico e dialético como base teórico-metodológica. Nesse sentido, parte-se de um recorte na sociabilidade dos sujeitos, no que diz respeito ao trabalho. Empreenderam-se a pesquisa bibliográfica para um amplo levantamento dos autores e de suas respectivas produções científicas, e a pesquisa de campo com um estudo de caso no CSEUB. A análise buscou inserir os participantes da pesquisa em um contexto macrossocietário, no que diz respeito à reestruturação produtiva e às novas configurações do mundo do trabalho, possibilitando compreender que os adolescentes aqui pesquisados e seu grupo social têm suas sociabilidades configuradas pelo sociometabolismo do capital, de modo a contribuir na reprodução e manutenção dessa estrutura.

Abstract This study presents partial results of a master’s research that examines the sociability of adolescents in conflict with the law in the city of Uberlândia (MG) in 2017. The research focuses specifically on male adolescents who are in the city’s juvenile center Centro Socioeducativo de Uberlândia (CSEUB). The aim is to understand the meanings the subjects attribute to their social experiences, using historical and dialectical materialism as a theoretical-methodological basis. The study is grounded on the sociability of the subjects around the work. As well as the field research at the CSEUB, a bibliographic review was conducted identifying the authors and their contribution to the literature on the issue. The analysis observed the subjects within a macro-social context, regarding the productive restructuring and new configurations of the world of work. This perspective allows understanding that the sociability of the adolescents observed in the context of the research (and their social group) is shaped by the socio-metabolism of capital, contributing to its reproduction and maintenance.

Este artigo analisa a introdução de inovações técnicas e/ou organizacionais nos processos produtivos do capitalismo no século XXI. Entende-se que o conjunto de inovações representa, historicamente, formas de controle do trabalho no âmbito das relações de classe e reafirma as teses centrais de Braverman de sua obra "Trabalho e capital monopolista: a degradação do trabalho no século XX", publicado originalmente em 1974, sobre a tendência à desqualificação e à degradação do trabalho sob a lógica da acumulação do capital, contradizendo aquelas que defendem o fim da centralidade do trabalho. O estudo parte da revisão das teses de Braverman e da literatura pertinente ao tema.

This article analyzes the introduction of technical and / or organizational innovations in the productive processes of capitalism in the 21st century. It is understood that the set of innovations represents, historically, work control forms within class relations and it reaffirms Braverman's central theses from his work "Labor and monopoly capital: the degradation of work in the twentieth century", originally published in 1974, about the tendency to work deskilling and degradation under the rationale of capital accumulation, contradicting those that advocate for the end of work centrality. The study is based on the review of Braverman's theses and the literature pertinent the theme.
