Duplex stainless steels are widely used due to their good mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. However, they are susceptible to microstructural fragility related to harmful transformations taking place in intermetallic phases, such as the sigma phase. These transformations reduce mechanical properties like toughness and corrosion resistance. The current study aims to analyze the effect of different thermodynamic- and electrochemical-reactive phases based on using both linear sweep voltammetry tests as non-destructive tests, as well as the concept of microelectrodes. This technique is capable of detecting small amounts of intermetallic phases at the UNS-S31803 duplex stainless steel surface. Results have evidenced the influence of reduced electrode-solution exposure area on improving sensitivity for deleterious phase analyses. Peak potential and current peak recorded direct correlation to sigma phase concentration and it enabled detecting very low sigma-phase surface concentration, at the order of 0.04%. Abstract Purpose We propose and analyze a new operating model for an energy futures exchange that could be implemented in Brazil, where there is low liquidity for these contracts. The clearing house temporarily assumes the position of customers who fail to answer the margin call, instead of closing the position, as would normally be done under normal conditions. Theoretical framework The main theoretical bases were diffusion processes, with jumps and without jumps, and the pricing model developed by Merton (1976). Design/methodology/approach We developed a Monte Carlo simulation model, using diffusion processes, with and without jumps. Findings The results show that the proposed model and the insurance option generate relatively low-cost increments for the operation that could be easily absorbed by the clearing house. Practical & social implications of research This study will be especially useful for market agents who want to evaluate the implementation of a Brazilian energy exchange, which to date is not available. ABSTRACT This article proposes an investment model for a renewable energy generator that allows it to earn the right to issue Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) and sell them through quarterly sales auctions promoted by the blockchain. Blockchain technology can further promote the RECs market, as it enables tokenization and distribution of certificates. We did not find articles in the literature that analyze the decision to invest in decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) that have rules for issuing and trading RECs specified in smart contracts, which are executed and validated by the blockchain. This article contributes to the literature on blockchain technology applications in the renewable energy market by proposing issuing and selling RECs tokens through a DAO. The relevance of this research is that it shows that simple real option pricing methods can help decision-makers evaluate investment opportunities under uncertainty and flexibility. The tokenization and distribution of RECs via blockchain can promote transaction agility, reduce or eliminate bureaucracy in the means of payment, and increase the security and transparency of transactions. We propose a model for issuing and selling RECs in smart contracts. We assume that the generator has the flexibility to invest now or in one year to enter the platform, considering the energy generated in one year by a single typical 4MW wind turbine. Our model assumes that the price of the REC token follows an inverse demand function subject to stochastic shocks. RESUMO Este artigo propõe um modelo de investimento para uma geradora de energia renovável que lhe permite ganhar o direito de emitir Certificados de Energia Renovável (CERs) e vendê-los por meio de leilões de vendas trimestrais promovidos por blockchain. ABSTRACT The diagnosis of congenital toxoplasmosis presents limitations and therefore new options are necessary. The analysis of amniotic fluid by real-time PCR has already proved effective for confirmation of fetal infection. However, its performance in other biological samples is not clear yet. The aim of this study is to better understand the role of real-time PCR in the blood of the mother and newborn as well as in the amniotic fluid and placenta in the diagnosis of congenital toxoplasmosis. This is a descriptive cohort study of pregnant women with toxoplasmosis followed up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Real-time PCR was performed in samples of maternal blood, amniotic fluid, placenta, and blood of newborns. In addition, histopathological examination of placentas was performed, and data collected from babies were collected. 116 pregnant women were followed up and 298 samples were analyzed. One (0.9%) pregnant woman presented positive PCR in the blood, 3 (3.5%) in the amniotic fluid, 1 (2.3%) in the placenta and no newborn had positive PCR in the blood. Histopathological study was suggestive of toxoplasmosis infection in 24 (49%) placentas. Six (5.2%) newborns were diagnosed with congenital toxoplasmosis, and only cases with positive PCR in the amniotic fluid had correlation of the PCR result with the diagnosis of congenital infection. Both maternal and blood samples of new-borns and placenta did not prove to be promising in the diagnosis of congenital toxoplasmosis. Resumen La visión basada en capacidades es fundamental para comprender cómo se pueden gestionar los ecosistemas. Sin embargo, a pesar de la relevancia de este tema, aún existe un vacío en la literatura acerca de cuáles son las capacidades para gestionar los ecosistemas. El propósito de este artículo es identificar y mapear las capacidades aplicadas a la gestión de ecosistemas empresariales. La metodología consistió en una revisión sistemática de la literatura considerando dos bases de datos: Web of Science y Scopus. En total se analizaron 789 obras, de las cuales 89 hicieron el puente entre capacidades y ecosistemas. El análisis de contenido se realizó a través de la codificación, lo que resultó en una agrupación de 11 capacidades ‒ una dinámica y diez operativas‒. Los resultados obtenidos incluyen la identificación, mapeo y estructuración de capacidades dinámicas y operativas para la gestión del ecosistema y su dispersión entre los actores del ecosistema: empresa focal, proveedores y complementadores. Abstract The capabilities-based view is central to understanding ecosystems management. However, there is still a gap in the literature about the capabilities to manage ecosystems. This article aims to identify and map the capabilities applied to business ecosystems management. The methodology consisted of a systematic literature review gathering studies from Web of Science and Scopus databases. From 789 works analyzed, 89 connected capabilities and ecosystems. Content analysis was performed through coding, resulting in a cluster of 11 capabilities, one of which is dynamic and the other ten are operational. The results obtained include the identification, mapping and structuring of dynamic and operational capabilities for ecosystem management and their dispersion among ecosystem actors: focal firm, suppliers, and complementors. We have developed an ecosystem management capability framework, which presents dynamic capabilities as the central link and driver of the set of ecosystem capabilities, which include the capabilities for ecosystem alignment, the capabilities for sustaining the ecosystem, the capabilities for the growth of the ecosystem and the capabilities for sustaining companies in the ecosystem. The findings contribute to the management literature and practice by offering a structure of capabilities for ecosystem management, gathered in a framework that shows the implications of different capabilities in the ecosystem. No entanto, apesar da relevância deste tema, ainda existe uma lacuna na literatura sobre as capacidades necessárias à gestão de ecossistemas. O objetivo desse artigo é identificar e mapear as capacidades aplicadas à gestão de ecossistemas de negócios. A metodologia consistiu em uma revisão sistemática da literatura considerando duas bases de dados: Web of Science e Scopus. No total, foram analisados 789 trabalhos; destes 89 fizeram a ponte entre capacidades e ecossistemas. Resumo O presente artigo pretende investigar como se deu a emergência das corridas de bicicleta na cidade de Curitiba. Para tanto foram utilizados como fontes os jornais da época, delimitados entre os anos de 1895 a 1913. A análise dos materiais indicou uma relação da bicicleta com o ideário urbano nascente na capital paranaense na temporalidade em questão, bem como a necessidade de uma pedagogização do andar de bicicleta em virtude do crescimento da urbe. A título de conclusão, o artigo aponta que a presença das bicicletas e das corridas em Curitiba, na virada do século XIX para o XX, contribuiu significativamente na formação de gestualidades atléticas e na educação dos corpos nos indivíduos que interagiram com tais artefatos.

Abstract Abstract: This article aims to investigate how the bicycle racing emerged in Curitiba. For this purpose, the newspapers from the period delimited between 1895 and 1913 were used as sources. The analysis of the materials indicated a relationship between the bicycle and the emerging urban ideas in the capital of Paraná in the temporality in question, as well as the need for a pedagogization of riding by bicycle because of the growing city. By way of conclusion the article points out that the presence of bicycles and races in Curitiba, at the turn of the nineteenth to the twentieth century, contributes significantly in the formation of athletic gestures and in the education of bodies in individuals who interacted with bicycles.

Resumo O presente estudo objetivou recensear a produção científica de Dança, em formato de artigo, nos periódicos nacionais de Educação Física. Para isso, realizou-se a análise do conteúdo de artigos publicados em 26 periódicos selecionados entre 1987 e agosto de 2020. Encontrou-se 363 artigos no recorte temporal em tela, com enfoques em assuntos, Webqualis e referenciais bibliográficos variados. Pode-se elucidar em que contextos se encontram as produções sobre Dança nacionais, seus destaques e seus principais referenciais bibliográficos. Ao fim, considerou-se que as discussões sobre Dança e aspectos educacionais se mostram predominantes nos achados, assim como o uso de referenciais bibliográficos com certas proximidades teóricas e práticas com atividades dançantes.

Abstract The present study aims to register the production of scientific articles about dance in national Physical Education journals. For this, we carried out a content analysis of articles published in 26 selected journals between 1987 and August 2020. We found 363 articles published in the proposed period, focusing on subjects, webqualis, and varied bibliographic references. Thus, it is possible to see where the national dance productions are, their highlights, and their main bibliographic references. In the end, we found that the discussions about dance and educational aspects are predominant, as well as the use of bibliographic references with a certain theoretical and practical proximity to dancing activities.

Resumen El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo registrar la producción científica de la danza, en formato de artículo, en revistas nacionales de Educación Física. Para ello, se realizó el análisis de contenido de los artículos publicados en 26 revistas seleccionadas entre 1987 y agosto de 2020. Se encontraron 363 artículos publicados en el marco temporal en pantalla, centrados en temas, webqualis y referencias bibliográficas variadas. Es posible aclarar dónde se encuentran las producciones de danza nacional, sus destaques y sus principales referencias bibliográficas. Al final, se consideró que en los hallazgos predominan las discusiones sobre la danza y los aspectos educativos, así como el uso de referencias bibliográficas con cierta proximidad teórica y práctica con las actividades de la danza.

Resumo Objetivos Identificar os fatores associados à não adesão à farmacoterapia em pessoas idosas brasileiras no âmbito da atenção primária à saúde (APS) através da realização de uma revisão sistemática da literatura. Método Trata-se de uma revisão sistemática da literatura nos idiomas inglês, espanhol e português, realizada na biblioteca eletrônica SciELO e nas bases de dados eletrônicas MEDLINE - via PubMed, LILACS, Embase e Web of Science no período de janeiro de 2010 a junho de 2020. A seleção dos estudos foi realizada de maneira independente por dois revisores, por meio do aplicativo de seleção Rayyan. Resultados Após a aplicação dos critérios de elegibilidade, foram incluídos nove estudos na revisão sistemática. O principal método utilizado para mensurar o desfecho foi a Escala de Morisky-Green (4-itens). Os resultados apontam as dificuldades de acesso aos medicamentos, as multimorbidades, a polifarmácia, o uso de medicamentos potencialmente inapropriados para idosos, o grau de confiança no profissional médico, as crenças, a autopercepção de saúde negativa e a incapacidade funcional como os principais fatores associados à não adesão à farmacoterapia na APS. Conclusões No âmbito da APS, a não adesão à farmacoterapia pela população idosa se apresenta como um problema muito frequente, sendo desencadeado por múltiplos fatores e com consequências negativas para o controle das condições de saúde, para o uso racional de medicamentos e para um envelhecimento saudável. Destaca-se ainda que parte dos fatores associados são passíveis de intervenção nesse nível de atenção à saúde.

Abstract Objectives To identify the factors associated with non-adherence to pharmacotherapy in elderly Brazilians assisted by Primary Health Care (PHC) through a systematic review of the literature. Method This is a systematic literature review in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, performed in the SciELO electronic library and in the electronic databases MEDLINE - via PubMed, LILACS, Embase, and Web of Science from January 2010 to June 2020. Study selection was performed independently by two reviewers using the Rayyan selection application. Results After applying the eligibility criteria, nine studies were included in the systematic review. The most frequent method used to measure the outcome was the Morisky-Green Scale (4-items). The results point that the main factors related to non-adherence to pharmacotherapy in PHC are difficulties in medication access, multimorbidities, polypharmacy, the use of potentially inappropriate medications for the elderly, the degree of trust in the medical professional, beliefs, negative self-perception of health and functional disability. Conclusions In the context of PHC, non-adherence to pharmacotherapy by the elderly population presents itself as a very frequent problem, being triggered by multiple factors and with negative consequences for the control of health conditions, the rational use of medications, and healthy aging. It is also noteworthy that part of the associated factors are subject to intervention at this level of health care.

Abstract This study sought to highlight the profile of publications that have been published in the journal linked to the Latin American institution specialized in socio-cultural discussions of sport on the continent, Asociación Latino Americana de Estudios Socioculturales del Deporte (ALESDE). For this, the content of articles published in the journal was analyzed from its creation in 2011, until the last issue published in 2019. We found a total of 104 studies produced in various countries and institutions, predominantly from South America, which addressed different topics, but all of them contribute to social and human sciences, showing that the studied journal fulfills its efforts to promote research exclusively, such as theoretical subsidies and mostly from the region in question.

Resumo Este estudo buscou apresentar o cenário das publicações científicas que vem sendo divulgada no Journal of the Latin American Social-cultural Studies of Sport (JLASSS), revista vinculada à instituição latino-americana especializada nas discussões socioculturais do Esporte no continente, a Asociación Latino Americana de Estudios Socioculturales del Deporte (ALESDE). Para isso, realizou-se a análise do conteúdo dos artigos publicados no periódico desde a sua criação, em 2011, até o último volume publicado em 2020. Encontrou-se um total de 124 estudos produzidos em diversos países e instituições, predominantemente sul-americanos, os quais abordaram variados assuntos, mas todos com aporte das Ciências Sociais e Humanas, evidenciando que a revista estudada cumpre com seus esforços de promover pesquisas exclusivamente com tais subsídios teóricos e majoritariamente da respectiva região.

ABSTRACT Toxoplasmosis in pregnant women can cause significant morbidity and mortality in the fetus, which may be mitigated by early diagnosis and treatment. Social factors have also been related to the risk of developing the congenital form of toxoplasmosis, since some of these factors interfere directly in the quality of prenatal care. This study aimed to describe the clinical, laboratory, and epidemiological data of pregnant women diagnosed with toxoplasmosis and their newborns followed up at a referral hospital in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This was descriptive cohort study of 334 pregnant women with toxoplasmosis followed from May 2014 to December 2017. We conducted interviews to assess knowledge about the disease and its preventive measures, analyzed clinical and laboratory data during antenatal visits, and collected data from the newborns' medical charts. Results: This was a predominantly low-income women cohort study, with little schooling, mainly referred from public health services late in pregnancy (178; 53.3%), in the second and third trimesters (286; 85.6%). Diagnosis of acute toxoplasmosis had not been confirmed in 171 cases (51.2%). Out of 183 (54.9%) women who had initiated treatment at the original health services, 45 (24.6%) received an incorrect prescription. Seventy-two amniocenteses were performed, with positive real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) in the amniotic fluid in two cases (2.8%). Congenital toxoplasmosis at birth was identified in eight newborns (5.4%). Conclusion: Late referral to specialized medical services, inadequate toxoplasmosis management at the original prenatal care services, and social vulnerabilities are contributing factors to the persistent occurrence of congenital toxoplasmosis cases.

Bismuth (Bi) alloying in Aluminum (Al) alloys is considered of importance in special applications requiring improvements in the alloy machining. Despite that, the influence of Bi either on evolution of the solidification or on resulting microstructure of hypereutectic Al-Si alloys is still to be determined. The present research work is devoted to these requirements. In the present study, Al-15wt.% Si hypereutectic alloy is modified with 1.0 wt.% Bi. The effects of this addition on the morphology of the phases forming the microstructure and on the tensile/wear properties are investigated. Various samples characterized by distinct cooling rates are generated by transient directional solidification of the ternary Al-Si-Bi alloy. Microstructure is examined by optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analyses, segregation by energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) whereas wear and tensile properties have been characterized by standardized tests. The experimental variations of the eutectic spacing are compared to each other based on their trends. It is found that the addition of minor Bi content (~1 wt. %) permitted tensile strength and ductility of 195 MPa and 14%. Furthermore, wear resistance is improved by up to 20% due to the Bi addition. The reasons for that will be outlined.
