Resumo: A filosofia nietzschiana se desdobra, a todo tempo, em denunciar que as escolas e universidades da Alemanha moderna serviam, majoritariamente, para domesticar as forças humanas em prol dos valores administrados pelo Estado. Considerando tal horizonte, este artigo investiga o fundo analítico da crítica nietzschiana à educação (Ersiehung) de seu tempo para mostrar a tensão necessária que a formação humana (Bildung) emerge no arcabouço de sua filosofia como cultivo de novos valores. Para tanto, será preciso mostrar que outro nível de disciplina, ao mesmo tempo causa e efeito de uma experiência formativa singular e própria, há de ser deflagrada como potência criativa de e para outros valores existenciais.

Abstract: Nietzsche's philosophy unfolds, at all times, in denouncing that the schools and universities in Germany serve, mostly, to domesticate as a modern force in favor of the values administered by the State. Considering this horizon, this article investigates the analytical background of the Nietzschean critique of education (Ersiehung) of his time to show the necessary tension that human formation (Bildung) emerges in the framework of his philosophy as the cultivation of new values. For that, it will be necessary to show that another level of discipline, at the same time cause and effect of a unique and proper formative experience, must be triggered as a creative power of and for other existential values.

Resumo Inspirado no pensamento e na vida de Paulo Freire, este texto afirma, como sentido de uma educação filosófica, as “subjetividades geradoras”, quais sejam, uma forma de trânsito para outras condições existenciais, devires possíveis de vida e de mundos outros. Essa educação filosófica abrange três campos problematizadores: (i) a relação de si mesmo com a alteridade; (ii) a ascese filosófica como forma política da vida social; e (iii) a produção de verdades para além daquelas prefiguradas pelas forças opressivas, antidemocráticas e desumanizadoras. Operamos, assim, um duplo movimento: existencializar a filosofia e filosofar a vida educativa. Dessa forma, indiretamente, também atendemos uma “velha” questão entre nós: é Paulo Freire um filósofo da educação?

Abstract Inspired by the life and thought of Paulo Freire, this text affirms the “generative subjectivities” – a form of transit to other existential conditions, possible becomings of life and of other worlds –, as the sense of a philosophical education. Such education encompass three problematizing fields: (i) the relation of oneself with otherness; (ii) philosophical asceticism as a political form of social life; and (iii) the production of truths beyond those prefigured by oppressive, anti-democratic, and dehumanizing forces. We thus engage in a double movement: to existentialize philosophy and to philosophize an educational life. Indirectly, we also answer an “old” query among us: is Paulo Freire a philosopher of education?

Resumo O presente dossiê apresenta um conjunto de artigos visando a atualizar a força e a expressão do pensamento e da pedagogia freirianos para a educação contemporânea. A efeméride oportuniza o convite para que distintos campos da educação e seus pesquisadores, abrangendo letramento, educação de jovens e adultos, educação popular, fundamentos da educação, inclusão, educação etnicorracial, metodologias pedagógicas, didática, dentre outros, oportunizem sentido, alcance e atualização teórico-empírico ao vasto trabalho do patrono da educação brasileira. A revista Pro-Posições se soma às inúmeras homenagens feitas ao educador ao longo deste ano, reunindo um conjunto de artigos de autores brasileiros e estrangeiros que, longe da simples apologia à sua obra (tanto nos aspectos teóricos quanto nos práticos), investem em uma espécie de “atualização” do pensamento de Freire, ao trazer para o debate contemporâneo as operações de dialogação, problematização e transformação postas na mesa pelo educador brasileiro.

Abstract This dossier presents a set of articles aimed at updating the strength and expression of Freirian thought and pedagogy for contemporary education. The ephemeris provides an opportunity to invite different fields of education and its researchers, including literacy, youth and adult education, popular education, fundamentals of education, inclusion, ethnic-racial education, pedagogical and didactic methodologies, among others, to create opportunities for meaning, reach and updating theoretical-empirical to the vast work of the patron of Brazilian education. The Pro-Posições journal adds to the numerous tributes paid to the educator throughout this year, bringing together a set of articles by Brazilian and foreign authors who, far from a simple apology for his work (both in theoretical and practical aspects), invest in a kind of “updating” of Freire’s thought, by bringing to the contemporary debate the operations of dialogue, problematization and transformation impulsed by the Brazilian educator.

Resumo O artigo reúne e comenta a produção nos campos da Filosofia e da Filosofia da Educação publicada durante os 30 anos da revista Pro-Posições. Organiza em três blocos temáticos um conjunto de incidências temáticas que se faz presente, ao mesmo tempo, em três décadas de publicações. Na primeira década, de 1990 a 1999, destaca-se a temática da educação, com ênfase no pensamento crítico, na redemocratização brasileira e seu valor republicano; a segunda década, entre os anos 2000 e 2009, traz à tona uma série de análises acerca dos desafios milenares para o campo da Educação, sobretudo acerca da problematização ético-política da sociedade em geral; a última década, de 2010 até 2018, evidencia a explosão da presença da Filosofia e da Filosofia da Educação na área da Educação, encampando temas como diferenças, inclusão e subjetividades. Além de evidenciar que Filosofia e Filosofia da Educação são campos marcantes ao longo dos 30 anos da revista, o artigo sustenta que as mesmas problematizações de 3 décadas de publicações são urgentes como retomada de uma luta de pensamento crítico em defesa da educação republicana e democrática, além de convocar a urgência do lugar das diferenças e das multiplicidades para a área da Educação.

Abstract In this article we aim to collect and comment on the production in the fields of Philosophy and of Philosophy of Education published during the 30 years of the Pro-Posições journal. To do so, we organized into three thematic parts a set of thematic occurrences that are present, at the same time, in three decades of publications. The first decade covers the years from 1990 to 1999, highlighting the theme of Education and its republican value in the Brazilian redemocratization, with emphasis on critical thinking; the second decade, between 2000 and 2009, brings to light a series of analyses concerning the millenary challenges for the field of Education, mainly the ethical-political problematization of society in general; the last decade, from 2010 to 2018, evidences the increase of the presence of Philosophy and Philosophy of Education in the field of Education, entailing themes such as differences, inclusion, and subjectivities. Besides observing that Philosophy and Philosophy of Education are remarkable fields over the 30 years of the Pro-Posições journal, we argue that the same problematizations of all three decades of publication are urgent for reiterating one of the struggles of critical thinking in the defense of the republican Education and of its democratic principles, in addition to drawing attention to the urgency of the place of differences and multiplicities in the field of Education.

RESUMO: O objetivo deste artigo foi problematizar a formação do educador para atuar no novo contexto das Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais, tendo como referência as diretrizes que orientam e organizam o curso de Pedagogia e a oferta da educação de jovens e adultos (EJA) nas escolas regulares e nos estabelecimentos penais. Para tanto, a partir de pesquisas sobre a temática, realizou-se um debate teórico-crítico em torno dos limites e das possibilidades implicados no exercício da docência em estabelecimentos penitenciários, bem como das condições de contratação de professores, no estado de São Paulo, para este tipo de atuação docente. A formação do pedagogo, numa perspectiva crítica, foi abordada desde a experiência inovadora realizada na Universidade Federal de São Paulo.

ABSTRACT: The aim of this paper was to problematize teacher education in order to act in the new context stablished by the Brazilian National Curriculum Guidelines, using as reference the guidelines that guide and organize the Pedagogy courses and the offers of adult education in mainstream schools and prisons. In order to do so, based on research on that subject, the article brings out a theoretical and critical debate around the limits and possibilities involved in teaching at prisons, as well as the recruitment conditions of those teachers in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The pedagogical training in a critical perspective was approached from the innovative experiment conducted at the Federal University of São Paulo.

O trabalho aborda a concepção de crítica em Foucault como estratégia de questionamento, de tensão, de ação e de transformação nos excessos de governo presentes no campo da Educação. A hipótese desenvolvida é a de que o sentido da crítica se atualiza para a Educação, à medida que se age na direção de transformar as suas relações institucionais. Para tanto, o artigo articula duas etapas analíticas. Primeiro, investiga os efeitos da governamentalização na instituição escolar em três níveis: a associação da escola com as artes de governo, o papel do professor na arte de governar e a função dos discursos oficiais na manutenção da instituição escolar sob os efeitos de governo. A seguir, dedica-se a analisar a própria dimensão da crítica e de suas consequências na Educação, por intermédio da arte de não ser governado, da insubmissão voluntária e da reflexão indócil, da atitude-limite e da atitude-experimental.

This paper approaches the conception of criticism in Foucault as a strategy for questioning, tensioning, acting on and transforming the government excesses in the field of education. The hypothesis is that the meaning of the criticism regarding education is relevant as long as it aims toward transforming institutional relations. To this end, the present paper takes two analytical steps. First it investigates the effects of governmentalization in educational institutions concerning three levels: the association of the school with the arts of government, the role of the teacher in the art of government and the function of official discourses while keeping the school institution under the effects of government. Secondly, it analyzes criticism in its own right and its consequences to education. It discusses the art of not being governed, of the voluntary insubordination and of the unruly reflection, and finally of the limit and experimental attitudes.

O artigo analisa as razões pelos quais a cultura de imagens se faz presente nos agentes simbólicos da atual cultura, fomentando experiências e estratégias educativas que se difundem para além das fronteiras da educação formal. A hipótese é a de que toda análise crítica dirigida às pedagogias culturais viabilizam condições para que as estratégias educacionais também utilizem componentes imagéticos presentes nos agentes simbólicos da cultura. Para tanto, será analisada a cultura das imagens na perspectiva da Sociedade do Espetáculo (2000), e as razões pelas quais a análise crítica das pedagogias culturais se tornam essenciais no campo da educação, desafiando as próprias práticas educacionais atuais.

This article analyzes the reasons why the culture of images is present in the symbolic agents of the current culture, promoting educational experiences and strategies that have disseminate beyond the boundaries of formal education. The hypothesis is based on the idea that the critical analysis oriented to cultural pedagogies promotes conditions that enable the educational strategies through the use of imagetics components present in the agents of symbolic culture. To achieve this goal, it will be necessary to analyze the culture of image through the perspective of the Society of Spectacle (2000), and why the critical analysis of cultural pedagogies become essential in the educational field, challenging the actual educational practices.

O presente trabalho terá como objetivo transformar em tema de reflexão as inquietações de duas crianças, Alicia e João, a respeito de sua nacionalidade; quer dizer, trazer em cena o sentimento ambíguo de pertença que possuem em relação a suas identidades. Diálogos com o pensamento filosófico serão realizados a respeito da fronteira, como lugar onde a naturalização da igualdade é posta por terra; naturalização na qual o conceito de identidade aparece como uma peça monolítica coesa e impenetrável. Defendemos o contrário: que a identidade é efeito de um processo constante, e sempre inacabado, de transformação subjetiva, pela mescla, pela angústia de não ser UM consigo mesmo e nem em relação aos outros. Apostamos, portanto, no universo múltiplo e incalculável do processo identitário, que torna único cada sujeito em seus dilemas.

The aim of the present paper is to bring about a reflection on the uneasiness of two children, Alicia and João, regarding their nationalities, that is, on their ambiguous feeling of belonging regarding their own identities. Dialogues based on philosophical thinking will be carried out about the frontier as a place where the naturalization of equality is extinguished, and naturalization, in which identity is perceived as a cohesive and impenetrable monolithic piece. The opposite is actually what we stand up for: identity is the effect of a never-ending, always unfinished process of subjective transformation, through miscellany, through anguish for not being ONE with oneself or with others. In short, we believe in the multiple and immeasurable universe of the identity process, which makes every subject unique concerning his or her dilemmas.
