ABSTRACT Introduction: We aim to compare the safety and effectiveness of the KangDuo (KD)-Surgical Robot-01 (KD-SR-01) system and the da Vinci (DV) system for robot-assisted radical nephroureterectomy (RARNU). Materials and Methods: This multicenter prospective randomized controlled trial was conducted between March 2022 and September 2023. Group 1 included 29 patients undergoing KD-RARNU. Group 2 included 29 patients undergoing DV-RARNU. Patient demographic and clinical characteristics, perioperative data, and follow-up outcomes were collected prospectively and compared between the two groups. Results: There were no significant differences in patient baseline demographic and preoperative characteristics between the two groups. The success rates in both groups were 100% without conversion to open or laparoscopic surgery or positive surgical margins. No significant difference was observed in docking time [242 (120-951) s vs 253 (62-498) s, P = 0.780], console time [137 (55-290) min vs 105 (62-220) min, P = 0.114], operative time [207 (121-460) min vs 185 (96-305) min, P = 0.091], EBL [50 (10-600) mL vs 50 (10-700) mL, P = 0.507], National Aeronautics and Space Administration Task Load Index scores, and postoperative serum creatinine levels between the two groups. None of the patients showed evidence of distant metastasis, local recurrence, or equipment-related adverse events during the four-week follow-up. One (3.4%) patient in Group 2 experienced postoperative enterovaginal and enterovesical fistulas (Clavien-Dindo grade III). Conclusions: The KD-SR-01 system is safe and effective for RARNU compared to the DV Si or Xi system. Further randomized controlled studies with larger sample sizes and longer durations are required. This study aimed to analyze the safety and applicability of a 90-min duration of infusion (SDI) of obinutuzumab in patients with B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) in a tertiary hospital in China. This exploratory clinical trial was performed at Jiangsu Province Hospital. All patients were treated with the standard infusion regimen for the first infusion. If no grade ≥3 infusion-related reactions (IRRs) occurred, the subsequent infusions were given as SDI. The primary endpoint was the incidence of IRR during the standard infusion (3-4 h) and 90-min SDI regimens. This study enrolled 208 patients and all completed cycle 1. Forty-one patients (19.71%) had IRRs: five (2.40%) with grade 1, twenty-eight (13.46%) with grade 2, and eight (3.85%) with grade 3. The 41 patients had 71 IRRs, mainly fever (40.85%), chest pain/tightness (12.68%), and dyspnea (9.86%). The occurrence of IRRs in the first infusion was significantly lower in patients who received oral acetaminophen prophylaxis than those who did not (10.72% vs 30.21%, P<0.001). For the subsequent cycles with 90-min SDI, only two (0.25%) IRRs occurred among 814 infusions (one grade 1 hand numbness and one grade 2 chill/fever). Abstract NCED1 (9-cis-epoxy carotenoid dioxygenase) plays important roles in controlling ABA levels and drought stress tolerance. The relationships between sequence polymorphisms of the TaNCED1 gene and drought resistance in wheat were analysed. Four allelic variations of the TaNCED1-5B generated to drought resistance were identified. Four groups of KASP (kompetitive allele-specific PCR) markers were developed based on the four alleles and were verified in a natural population of 311 wheat cultivars. The distribution of the four alleles of TaNCED1-5B in the natural population was clarified. Among the allelic variations, 84.62% of the wheat varieties with TT/-/C/-,TT/C/C/-,TT/-/C/G or TT/C/C/G haplotypes were dryland cultivars. The common feature of the above four haplotypes is that they all contain the TT (98) and C (343) alleles at the TaNCED1-5B-TT/CG (98) and TaNCED1-5B-C/T (343) loci, which indicated that these two locis had highly positive correlation with drought resistance in wheat. ABSTRACT Through a long-term micro-area positioning experiment (2006-2017), the precise fertilization locations of spring maize (Zea mays L.) in Jilin, China, were investigated using an embedded cement bucket pot. The effects of different fertilization placements and additional application of organic manure on maize yield, biomass, grain nutrient uptake, and soil fertility were examined. Six treatments were designed: base fertilizer + topdressing shallow application (BF1TD1); base fertilizer deep + topdressing shallow application (BF2TD1); base fertilizer + topdressing deep application (BF1TD2); base fertilizer deep + topdressing deep application (BF2TD2); base fertilizer + topdressing + organic manure shallow application (BF1TD1 + OS); and base fertilizer + topdressing shallow application + organic manure deep application (BF1TD1 + OD). After 12 years of continuous experimentation, the findings revealed that BF2TD2, BF1TD1 + OS, and BF1TD1 + OD exhibited 10.59 %, 25.17 %, and 29.34 % higher average yields than BF1TD1, respectively. Deep topdressing was more beneficial in increasing maize yield and nutrient accumulation, and additionally, increasing the use of organic fertilizer enhanced plant biomass and nutrient uptake. Over the 12 years considered, the soil organic matter in the 0-20 cm and 20-40 cm layers increased by 45.96 % and 80.61 %, respectively, and the soil pH increased from 0.38 to 0.48. ABSTRACT In order to enhance the quality and mechanical properties of 3D printing carbon fiber reinforced composite (CFRP) workpiece, this paper prepares 3D printing CFRP laminates by proposing a layered coherent composite scanning path, and carries out orthogonal tests and single factor tests to disclose the effects of different process parameters (i.e., layer thickness, first layer thickness, nozzle temperature and printing speed) on the mechanical performance of the CFRP workpieces. Resumo Fundamento A fibrilação atrial (FA) é uma complicação prevalente associada à levosimendana; no entanto, permanece incerto se existem disparidades nos efeitos da levosimendana na FA não pós-operatória e pós-operatória. Objetivos Este estudo teve como objetivo avaliar o efeito da levosimendana na FA não pós-operatória e pós-operatória conduzindo uma metanálise de ensaios clínicos randomizados (ECR). Abstract Background Atrial fibrillation (AF) is a prevalent complication associated with levosimendan; however, it remains uncertain whether there are any disparities in the effects of levosimendan on non-postoperative and postoperative AF. Objectives This study aimed to evaluate the levosimendan effect on non-postoperative and postoperative AF by conducting a meta-analysis of randomized control trials (RCTs). Methods PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, and other databases were searched. Pairs of reviewers identified RCTs that compared levosimendan and placebo or other therapies, and the results reported AF events data. Random effects models were used (at a significance level of 5%). Results Twenty-nine eligible trials comprising 6550 participants were included, eleven of which evaluated the non-postoperative AF incidence, and 18 included postoperative AF. The analysis revealed that levosimendan elevated the AF risk significantly in the non-postoperative group (OR, 1.62; 95% CI: 1.19-2.20; p=0.002) and reduced the AF incidence in the postoperative group (OR, 0.65; 95% CI: 0.44-0.96; p=0.03). AF occurrence decreased more significantly in patients who used levosimendan after cardiac surgery (OR, 0.53; 95% CI: 0.32-0.88; p=0.02) than in patients who used levosimendan before cardiac surgery (OR, 0.67; 95% CI: 0.42-1.06; p=0.09). RESUMO: Devido ao seu caráter rico em vitaminas, proteínas, elementos minerais e substâncias ativas, o valor altamente medicinal e econômico das sementes de feijão-mungo tem provado ser benéfico para o ser humano. A fim de identificar plenamente e utilizar de forma inovadora excelentes recursos de Germoplasma para a produção de feijão-mungo e reprodução de qualidade, o nível de diversidade genética do oito caracteres fenotípicos de sementes de 302 recursos de germoplasma de feijão-mungo foram avaliados de forma abrangente por meio de análise de diversidade, análise de correlação, análise de componentes principais (PCA) e análise de agrupamento. ABSTRACT: Owing to rich in vitamins, proteins, mineral elements, and active substances, the highly medicinal and economic value of mung bean seeds have been proven to be beneficial to human. In order to fully identificate and innovative utilization of excellent germplasm resources for mung bean yield and quality breeding, the genetic diversity level of eight seed phenotypic traits of 302 mung bean germplasm resources were comprehensively evaluated by diversity analysis, correlation analysis, principal component analysis (PCA), and cluster analysis. The results showed the genetic diversity of eight seed phenotypic traits of 302 mung bean germplasm resources with a Shannon diversity Index ranging from 0.25 to 2.09. For most traits, their coefficient of variation (CV) were more than 10% with the highest being seed shape (41.51%). Correlation analysis showed that the 100-seed weight had extremely positive correlations with seed size, seed length, seed width, and seed thickness. PCA of seed phenotypic traits showed that the cumulative contribution rate of the first three principal components was 78.551%. These principal components included seed width, seed coat gloss and seed color. The 302 mung bean germplasm resources were divided into eight groups by cluster analysis. A total of 140 germplasm resources with large-seed were selected from group I and group II, of which 9 germplasm resources in group II were likely to be high-yield varieties. Abstract Objectives: To systematically evaluate the efficacy and superiority of Flunarizine Hydrochloride when combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Decoctions in treating migraine headaches. Method: The authors conducted a comprehensive search for clinical Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) investigating the combination of Flunarizine Hydrochloride with Chinese herbal decoctions in treating migraines. The databases searched included CNKI, VIP, Wanfang, PubMed, WOI, Cochrane Library, and Embase, covering the period from January 1, 2019, to November 10, 2023. Two independent researchers meticulously screened, extracted, and assessed the relevant data, employing the Revman 5.3 software for meta-analysis. Results: The meta-analysis revealed that, in comparison to Flunarizine Hydrochloride used in isolation, the combination with Chinese herbal decoctions markedly enhanced the effective rate (RR = 1.26, 95 % CI [1.18, 1.34], p < 0.0001). Moreover, significant improvements were observed in the TCM symptom score (MD = 4.97, 95 % CI [-6.74, -3.19], p < 0.00001). The observation group demonstrated a statistically significant improvement in endothelin levels compared to the control group (I2 = 85 %, MD = -13.66, 95 % CI [-17.87, -9.45], p = 0.0001). The observation group showed a significant reduction in NRS scores compared to the control group, indicating better outcomes (I2 = 95 %, MD = -2.11, 95 % CI [-3.09, -1.12], p < 0.0001). The observation group was superior to the control group in terms of the reduction in the number of episodes (I2 = 63 %, MD = -1.16, 95 % CI [-1.45, -0.87], p = 0.007). Conclusions: The confluence of Flunarizine Hydrochloride with traditional Chinese medicine decoctions in treating migraine patients demonstrated substantial clinical efficacy and improvement in TCM symptom score over the use of Flunarizine Hydrochloride alone. Resumo: Este artigo mostra que, com o contínuo desenvolvimento da sociedade tradicional e a mudança no ambiente aquático, a paisagem do Pavilhão das Orquídeas mudou diversas vezes. Abstract: With the traditional society’s continuous development and the change in the water environment, the Orchid Pavilion landscape has changed several times. The cognition of the Orchid Pavilion landscape, by the literati of the past dynasties, has also been continuously sublimated due to a range of natural and societal factors. As an important historical landscape, south of the Yangtze River, Orchid Pavilion contains more historical and cultural significance than the landscape itself. From Wei and Jin Dynasties to Tang Dynasty, the beautiful water environment and cultural landscape of Orchid Pavilion aroused nationwide longing and appreciation for its beauty. ABSTRACT: Bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) can cause acute and persistent infections in cattle, resulting in significant economic losses to the livestock industry each year. Targeted antiviral therapy is an effective strategy. This study was based on network pharmacology, molecular docking techniques and in vitro studies to investigate quercetin’s mechanism in treating bovine viral diarrhea/mucosal disease (BVD-MD). The network topology analysis was carried out using Cytoscape 3.9.0 software to construct the network of “Chinese medicine ingredients-target-diseases”. Protein interactions were explored and analyzed using the String system (PPI). GO and KEGG pathway analysis of the intersected targets was performed using Bioconductor software. The molecular docking and molecular dynamics simulation methods were used to reveal the degree of binding of quercetin to key target genes. Western blot and indirect immunofluorescence were used to characterize the antiviral effects of quercetin. This study utilized network pharmacological analysis, identifying 22 targets associated with BVD-MD. The results of the KEGG pathway showed that quercetin was closely related to Ras and MAPK signaling pathways of BVD-MD. Molecular docking results showed that SRC, NS5B, NOX4 and XDH were the key targets of quercetin in the treatment of BVD-MD. Through network pharmacology, molecular docking and in vitro experiments, quercetin was demonstrated to combat bovine viral diarrhea mucosal disease through key targets of SRC, MAPK1, GSK3B, NS5B and E2. Molecular dynamics analysis showed that quercetin exhibited complex stability with NS5B. ABSTRACT For the classification and zoning study of crops at Jianshan Farm, data were acquired by integrating Sentinel-2 optical satellite imagery with Sentinel-1 radar satellite imagery. Different crop spectral features were extracted, and four vegetation indices (NDVI, SAVI, EVI, and NDWI) were computed to analyze the spectral differences among soybean, corn, potato, and sorghum. The UNet algorithm was employed to conduct crop zoning on the remote sensing images of Jianshan Farm from September 2020 to September 2023 for four consecutive years. An improved UNet model incorporating a channelwise attention and spatial attention module (CBAM) achieved a prediction accuracy of 100% for the 2023 image data. This represents a 12.5% improvement over the baseline UNet model. These results provide data support for research on crop classification methods. ABSTRACT Inhaling dust can lead to respiratory diseases, and dust accumulation in the workplace can pose fire and explosion hazards. Traditional dust removal nozzles require high water pressure and produce large droplet diameters. The Laval nozzle, utilizing a converging-diverging section to accelerate fluid to supersonic speeds, achieves finer droplets and a more concentrated particle size distribution. However, curved Laval nozzle is different to manufacture. To study the effect of water pressure on the atomization performance of a Linear Laval nozzle, a laser particle analyzer and a camera were used to test the droplet size and atomization angle. These results were compared with numerical analysis. The findings indicate that as the water pressure increases from 0.1 MPa to 0.5 MPa, the dropletsʼ Sauter Mean Diameter (SMD) increases almost linearly. At the same time, the spray angle tends to decrease. Both experimental and numerical analyses show the same trend. At a water pressure of 0.1 MPa, the atomization performance of the Linear Laval nozzle is optimal. Resumo Fundamento A hipertrofia cardíaca patológica (HC) sustentada é um fator de risco independente para aumento da incidência e mortalidade de eventos cardiovasculares. Objetivos Esta pesquisa foi projetada para desvendar o papel do RNA não codificante longo (LncRNA) CCAT2 na progressão da HC. Métodos Procedimentos de constrição aórtica transversal (TAC) foram conduzidos para construir um modelo de HC in vivo induzido por sobrecarga de pressão. O tratamento com angiotensina II (Ang II) foi utilizado para induzir células hipertróficas de cardiomiócitos de rato H9c2. Resultados Os resultados in vivo mostraram que o silenciamento de CCAT2 reduziu a área de superfície dos cardiomiócitos, aliviou a fibrose cardíaca e diminuiu os níveis de β-MHC, ANP e BNP em modelos de camundongos HC. Abstract Background Sustained pathological cardiac hypertrophy (CH) is an independent risk factor for increased incidence and mortality of cardiovascular events. Objectives This research was designed to unravel the role of long non-coding RNA (LncRNA) CCAT2 in CH progression. Methods Transverse aortic constriction (TAC) procedures were conducted to construct a pressure overload-induced in vivo CH model. Angiotensin II (Ang II) treatment was utilized to induce hypertrophic rat cardiomyocyte H9c2 cells. Results In vivo results showed that silencing of CCAT2 reduced cardiomyocyte surface area, alleviated cardiac fibrosis, and decreased β-MHC, ANP, and BNP levels in CH mouse models. In vitro results revealed that CCAT2 knockdown reduced cell surface area and attenuated β-MHC, ANP, and BNP levels in hypertrophic H9c2 cells. Besides, CCAT2 silencing decreased the levels of active β-catenin, phosphorylated-GSK-3β, and Wnt target genes (c-Myc, cyclinD1, and c-Jun) in CH mice and hypertrophic H9c2 cells. Importantly, treatment with the Wnt/β-catenin pathway activator LiCl reversed the suppression of CCAT2 knockdown on H9c2 cell surface area and MHC, ANP, and BNP levels. Conclusions Collectively, CCAT2 silencing plays a protective role against CH through inactivating the Wnt/β-catenin signaling, which suggests that CCAT2 might become a promising therapeutic target for CH. Abstract Background Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) is a proliferative retinal vascular disease occurring in the retina of premature infants and is the main cause of childhood blindness. Nowadays anti-VEGF and retinal photocoagulation are mainstream treatments for ROP, but they develop a variety of complications. Hydrogen (H2) is widely considered as a useful neuroprotective and antioxidative therapeutic method for hypoxic-ischemic disease without toxic effects. However, whether H2 provides physiological angiogenesis promotion, neovascularization suppression and glial protection in the progression of ROP is largely unknown. This study aims to investigate the effects of H2 on retinal angiogenesis, neovascularization and neuroglial dysfunction in the retinas of oxygen-induced retinopathy (OIR) mice. Methods In this study, mice that were seven days old and either wild-type (WT) or Nrf2-deficient (Nrf2-/-) were exposed to 75% oxygen for 5 days and then returned to normal air conditions. Different stages of hydrogen gas (H2) inhalation were administered. Vascular obliteration, neovascularization, and blood vessel leakage were analyzed and compared. To count the number of neovascularization endothelial nuclei, routine HE staining of retinal sections was conducted. Immunohistochemistry was performed using DyLight 594 labeled GSL I-isolectin B4 (IB4), as well as primary antibodies against proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA), glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP), and Iba-1. Western blots were used to measure the expression of NF-E2-related factor 2 (Nrf2), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), Notch1, Dll4, and HIF-1α. Additionally, the expression of target genes such as NQO1, HO-1, Notch1, Hey1, Hey2, and Dll4 was measured. Human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) treated with H2 under hypoxia were used as an in vitro model. RT-PCR was used to evaluate the mRNA expression of Nrf2, Notch/Dll4, and the target genes. The expression of reactive oxygen species (ROS) was observed using immunofluorescence staining. Results Our results indicate that 3–4% H2 does not disturb retinal physiological angiogenesis, but ameliorates vaso-obliteration and neovascularization in OIR mice. Moreover, H2 prevents the decreased density and reverses the morphologic and functional changes in retinal astrocytes caused by oxygen-induced injury. In addition, H2 inhalation reduces microglial activation, especially in the area of neovascularization in OIR mice. H2 plays a protective role in vascular regeneration by promoting Nrf2 activation and suppressing the Dll4-induced Notch signaling pathway in vivo. Also, H2 promotes the proliferation of HUVECs under hypoxia by negatively regulating the Dll4/Notch pathway and reducing ROS levels through Nrf2 pathway aligning with our findings in vivo. Moreover, the retinal oxygen-sensing mechanisms (HIF-1α/VEGF) are also involved in hydrogen-mediated retinal revascularization and neovascularization suppression. Conclusions Collectively, our results indicate that H2 could be a promising therapeutic agent for POR treatment and that its beneficial effect in human ROP might involve the activation of the Nrf2-Notch axis as well as HIF-1α/VEGF pathways.
