ABSTRACT Introduction: We aim to compare the safety and effectiveness of the KangDuo (KD)-Surgical Robot-01 (KD-SR-01) system and the da Vinci (DV) system for robot-assisted radical nephroureterectomy (RARNU). Materials and Methods: This multicenter prospective randomized controlled trial was conducted between March 2022 and September 2023. Group 1 included 29 patients undergoing KD-RARNU. Group 2 included 29 patients undergoing DV-RARNU. Patient demographic and clinical characteristics, perioperative data, and follow-up outcomes were collected prospectively and compared between the two groups. Results: There were no significant differences in patient baseline demographic and preoperative characteristics between the two groups. The success rates in both groups were 100% without conversion to open or laparoscopic surgery or positive surgical margins. No significant difference was observed in docking time [242 (120-951) s vs 253 (62-498) s, P = 0.780], console time [137 (55-290) min vs 105 (62-220) min, P = 0.114], operative time [207 (121-460) min vs 185 (96-305) min, P = 0.091], EBL [50 (10-600) mL vs 50 (10-700) mL, P = 0.507], National Aeronautics and Space Administration Task Load Index scores, and postoperative serum creatinine levels between the two groups. None of the patients showed evidence of distant metastasis, local recurrence, or equipment-related adverse events during the four-week follow-up. Conclusions: The KD-SR-01 system is safe and effective for RARNU compared to the DV Si or Xi system. Further randomized controlled studies with larger sample sizes and longer durations are required. Resumo Este artigo é baseado em uma amostra representativa e aleatória de 396 decisões monocráticas penais do Supremo Tribunal Federal, proferidas entre 01/01/2020 e 22/06/2021, que mencionam a pandemia de Covid-19. Foram mapeados os pedidos, o tipo de prisão, a data de julgamento, o tipo de ação e o resultado dos pedidos. Em seguida, foi feita uma análise qualitativa dos argumentos utilizados pela Corte para decidir. O objetivo principal do estudo é compreender como a Corte julgou pedidos de desencarceramento e o peso da pandemia de Covid-19 na argumentação judicial. Os dados indicam que a pandemia não teve impacto relevante na forma de decidir do STF em casos de prisão. Prevaleceram os indeferimentos de pedidos de soltura, com significativa mobilização argumentativa de óbices processuais, permitindo que a Corte não se posicionasse sobre questões de mérito. Por outro lado, quando o mérito foi analisado, a pandemia não foi tratada como argumento suficiente para desencarcerar. Abstract This article is based on a representative and randomly selected sample of 396 individual criminal decisions from the Federal Supreme Court, issued between January 1, 2020, and June 22, 2021, related to the COVID-19 pandemic. We tracked the petitions, the type of imprisonment, the date of judgment, the type of legal action, and the outcomes of these requests. Subsequently, we conducted a qualitative analysis of the arguments employed by the Court in reaching its decisions. The main objective of the study is to understand how the Court ruled on requests for release from incarceration and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in the judicial reasoning. The findings indicate that the pandemic had no relevant impact on the Court’s decision-making process. Dismissals on procedural grounds prevailed, allowing the court to avoid ruling on the merits of a claim. On the other hand, when the merits were analyzed, the pandemic was not treated as a sufficient argument for releasing a prisoner. Additionally, during the pandemic, CNJ’s Recommendation No. 62 and ADPF No. 347 had no argumentative prominence in the few decisions that granted requests for release. This research reinforces the diagnosis that the pandemic has not changed how the Judiciary deals with imprisonment. Abstract Objective: We aimed to investigate the regulatory effects of HMGB1/TLR4 signaling pathway on the expression of IL-10 and VEGF in human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells. Methodology: Human JBMSCs were isolated and cultured. Then, HMGB1 was added into the JBMSCs culture medium, and the protein and mRNA expression levels of IL-10 and VEGF were assessed. Moreover, cells were pretreated with a specific TLR4 inhibitor (TAK-242), and the expression changes of IL-10 and VEGF were compared. Results: Compared with the control group, exposure to HMGB1 in human JBMSCs up-regulated TLR4, IL-10, and VEGF secretion at both protein and mRNA levels (P<0. 05). Abstract The complex pathogenesis of castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) makes it challenging to identify effective treatment methods. Matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-12 can degrade elastin as well as various extracellular matrix (ECM) components, which is associated with cancer progression. However, the relationship between MMP-12 and CRPC progression is poorly understood. In this study, we observed the effect of MMP-12 on the progression of CRPC and further explored its potential mechanism of action. High levels of MMP-12 were observed in patients with CRPC. We therefore developed cell co-culture and mouse models to study the function of MMP-12. Silencing MMP-12 in CRPC cells disrupted lipid utilization and autophagy marker expression via the CD36/CPT1 and P62/LC3 pathways, respectively, leading to reduced CRPC cell migration and invasion. Moreover, animal experiments confirmed that MMP-12-knockdown CRPC xenograft tumors exhibited reduced tumor growth, and the mechanisms involved the promotion of cancer cell autophagy and the inhibition of lipid catabolism. Abstract Background Understanding the epidemiology of Streptococcus pneumoniae (S. pneumoniae) isolates is important for pneumonia treatment and prevention. This research aimed to explore the epidemiological characteristics of S. pneumoniae isolated from pediatric inpatients and outpatients during the same period. Methods S. pneumoniae were isolated from unsterile samples of inpatients and outpatients younger than five years old between March 2013 and February 2014. The serotypes were determined using diagnostic pneumococcal antisera. The resistance of each strain to 13 antibiotics was tested using either the E-test or the disc diffusion method. The Sequence Types (STs) were analyzed via Multilocus Sequence Typing (MLST). Results The dominant serotypes obtained from inpatients were 19F (32.9 %), 19A (20.7 %), 23F (10.7 %), 6A (10.0 %), and 14 (8.6 %), while those from outpatients were 19F (13.6 %), 23F (12.9 %), 6A (10.0 %), 6B (10.0 %), and 19A (7.9 %). The coverage rates of 13-valent Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine (PCV) formulations were high in both groups. The nonsusceptibility to penicillin, cefuroxime, imipenem, erythromycin, and trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole among the inpatient isolates was 7.1 %, 92.8 %, 65.7 %, 100 %, and 85.0 %, respectively, while that among the outpatient isolates was 0.7 %, 50.0 %, 38.6 %, 96.4 %, and 65.7 %, respectively. ABSTRACT In order to enhance the quality and mechanical properties of 3D printing carbon fiber reinforced composite (CFRP) workpiece, this paper prepares 3D printing CFRP laminates by proposing a layered coherent composite scanning path, and carries out orthogonal tests and single factor tests to disclose the effects of different process parameters (i.e., layer thickness, first layer thickness, nozzle temperature and printing speed) on the mechanical performance of the CFRP workpieces. Moreover, The grey relation analysis method is used to analyze the multi-objective parameters of the orthogonal tests results and the process parameters of 3D printing CFRP are optimized based on the tests results. Abstract Background With the fast-paced advancements of robot technology, human–robot interaction (HRI) has become increasingly popular and complex, and self-efficacy in HRI has received extensive attention. Despite its popularity, this topic remains understudied in China. Objective In order to provide a psychometrically sound instrument in China, this study aimed to translate and validate the Self-Efficacy in Human–Robot Interaction Scale (SE-HRI) in two Chinese adult samples (N1 = 300, N2 = 500). Methods The data was analyzed by SPSS 26.0 and Amos 24.0. Item analysis and exploratory factor analysis were conducted using Sample 1 data. Confirmatory factor analysis, criterion-related validity analysis, and reliability analysis were then performed using Sample 2 data. Results The results revealed that the Chinese SE-HRI scale consisted of 13 items in a two-factor model, suggesting a good model fit. Moreover, general self-efficacy and willingness to accept the use of artificial intelligence (AI) were both positively correlated with self-efficacy in HRI, while negative attitudes toward robots showed an inverse correlation, proving the Chinese SE-HRI scale exhibited excellent criterion-related validity. Conclusion The Chinese SE-HRI scale is a reliable assessment tool for evaluating self-efficacy in HRI in China. It is challenging to reveal the catalytic mechanism of Cu/ZnO catalysts with multivalent copper and improve the performance of CO2 hydrogenation to methanol. We synthesized Cu/ZnO catalysts with different Cu:Zn ratios using acetylacetone salts as the precursors, in which Cu, Cu2O, CuO coexist. The catalytic activity was significantly associated with the abundance of Cu+ active sites on the surface and the formation of more Cu+-ZnO interfaces. When the ratio of Cu:Zn = 5:4, the catalyst without reduction pretreatment showed good performance, with a CO2 conversion rate of 12.9%, methanol selectivity of 85.1%, and the space-time yield of 0.238 gMeOH gcat−1 h−1. It was suggested that Cu+ tends to closely bind with ZnO, and the preparation method leads to more Cu+-ZnO interfaces. Abstract Objective Our aim in this study is to identify the core genes of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps and analyze the correlations between it and inflammation-related genes. Methods GSE72713 dataset containing gene expression data of ECRSwNP, nonECRSwNP and healthy samples was obtained from Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) and filtered by limma to identify DEGs among three groups, then the functions and correlated pathways of DEGs were analyzed using GO and KEGG. The core DEGs were selected by the intersection of DEGs and the PPI network was constructed via STRING. The correlations between the expression levels of CRSwNP core gene and inflammation-related genes were analyzed via the Mann-Whitney U test. ABSTRACT: Bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) can cause acute and persistent infections in cattle, resulting in significant economic losses to the livestock industry each year. Targeted antiviral therapy is an effective strategy. This study was based on network pharmacology, molecular docking techniques and in vitro studies to investigate quercetin’s mechanism in treating bovine viral diarrhea/mucosal disease (BVD-MD). The network topology analysis was carried out using Cytoscape 3.9.0 software to construct the network of “Chinese medicine ingredients-target-diseases”. Protein interactions were explored and analyzed using the String system (PPI). GO and KEGG pathway analysis of the intersected targets was performed using Bioconductor software. The molecular docking and molecular dynamics simulation methods were used to reveal the degree of binding of quercetin to key target genes. Western blot and indirect immunofluorescence were used to characterize the antiviral effects of quercetin. This study utilized network pharmacological analysis, identifying 22 targets associated with BVD-MD. The results of the KEGG pathway showed that quercetin was closely related to Ras and MAPK signaling pathways of BVD-MD. Molecular docking results showed that SRC, NS5B, NOX4 and XDH were the key targets of quercetin in the treatment of BVD-MD. Through network pharmacology, molecular docking and in vitro experiments, quercetin was demonstrated to combat bovine viral diarrhea mucosal disease through key targets of SRC, MAPK1, GSK3B, NS5B and E2. Abstract Background: Patients with Hematological Malignancies (HM) are at a high risk of mortality from Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Métodos Oitenta e oito pacientes com disfunção do assoalho pélvico pós-parto tratadas de janeiro a abril de 2023 foram divididas em grupo Observação e Controle (n=44) por meio de tabela de números aleatórios. Resultados Após a intervenção, as pontuações de aspectos físico, emocional, capacidade funcional, social e motor do grupo Observação foram superiores às do grupo Controle (P<0,05). As pontuações da Escala de Autoavaliação de Ansiedade e da Escala de Autoavaliação de Depressão do grupo Observação foram inferiores às do grupo Controle. O nível de conhecimento sobre a doença foi maior no grupo Observação do que no grupo Controle (P<0,05). Abstract Objective We aimed to evaluate the effects of the Newman nursing model on the quality of life and pelvic floor muscle recovery in patients with postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction. Methods Eighty-eight patients with postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction treated from January to April 2023 were divided into observation and control groups (n=44) using a random number table. The control group was given routine nursing, based on which the observation group was given Newman nursing. The quality of life was assessed by the Short Form-36 Health Status Questionnaire. Resumen Objetivo Evaluar los efectos del modelo de enfermería de Newman en la calidad de vida y recuperación muscular del suelo pélvico en pacientes con disfunción del suelo pélvico posparto. Métodos Un grupo de 88 pacientes con disfunción del suelo pélvico posparto, tratadas de enero a abril de 2023, fue dividido en dos grupos, uno de observación y otro de control (n=44) mediante una tabla de número aleatorios. Objective: Panic disorder (PD) is a common disabling condition characterized by recurrent panic attacks. Emotional and behavioral impairments are associated with functional connectivity (FC) and network abnormalities. We used whole-brain FC, modular networks, and graph-theory analysis to investigate extensive network profiles in PD. Methods: Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data from 82 subjects with PD and 97 healthy controls were included. Intrinsic FC between each pair of 160 regions, six intra-network, and 15 inter-network FCs were analyzed. Topological properties were explored. Results: PD patients showed altered FCs within the right insula, between frontal cortex-posterior cingulate cortex (PCC), frontal cortex-cerebellum, and PCC-occipital cortex (corrected p < 0.001). Lower connections within the sensorimotor network (SMN) and SMN-occipital network (OCN) were detected (p < 0.05). Various decreased global and local network features were found in PD (p < 0.05). Abstract Background Myocardial fibrosis (MF) occurs throughout the onset and progression of cardiovascular disease, and early diagnosis of MF is beneficial for improving cardiac function, but there is a lack of research on early biomarkers of MF. Objectives Utilizing bioinformatics techniques, we identified potential biomarkers for MF. Methods Datasets related to MF were sourced from the GEO database. After processing the data, differentially expressed genes were screened. Differentially expressed genes were enriched, and subsequently, protein-protein interaction (PPI) was performed to analyze the differential genes. The associated miRNAs and transcription factors were predicted for these core genes. Finally, ROC validation was performed on the core genes to determine their specificity and sensitivity as potential biomarkers. The level of significance adopted was 5% (p < 0.05). Results A total of 91 differentially expressed genes were identified, and PPI analysis yielded 31 central genes. Enrichment analysis showed that apoptosis, collagen, extracellular matrix, cell adhesion, and inflammation were involved in MF. Resumo Fundamento A fibrose miocárdica (FM) ocorre durante o início e a progressão da doença cardiovascular, e o diagnóstico precoce da FM é benéfico para melhorar a função cardíaca, mas há uma falta de pesquisa sobre biomarcadores precoces da FM.
